“Israel refused the hostages before!”
You seriously believe that after the recent hostage exchange where they had to turn over MULTIPLE convicted criminals, most for attempted murder?
Oh, that’s right. You think that they didn’t actually commit those crimes and that they were a fucking lie.. no, sorry. ‘Propaganda.’
Stop. Defending. These. Criminals.
Whether they’re kids or not doesn’t change the fact that they have stabbed people, tried to bomb places, have shot people, etc.

HOSTAGE EXCHANGE TALKS END, EGYPTIANS BLAME ISRAELI OCCUPATION FOR FAILURE
The talks for a hostage exchange deal and a ceasefire between the Israeli entity and the Hamas resistance movement have collapsed, according to an Egyptian sources speaking with Al-Mayadeen News.
According to the Hebrew and Arab media, talks related to the genocide in the Gaza Strip have ceased without achieving its goals, which the news agency says is due to Egypt's insistence on a complete withdrawal from the Rafah crossing area, an axis know as the Philadelphia corridor.
Egyptian sources also told Reuters news agency that negotiations for a hostage exchange deal had "been frozen" until "Israel shows its seriousness."
Meanwhile, occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, gave a speech in which he responded to criticisms for the attempted assassination of a supposed Hamas member, Muhammad Daf, in an airstrike that targeted a displacement camp in the town of Al-Mawasi, northeast of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, that killed 90 civilians and wounded some 300 others.
In his speech, the Prime Minister claimed to see "cracks" and "weakness" in Hamas, while he also seemingly reveals that the pain being inflicted on the civilian population is purposeful, stating that "The population in Gaza understands more and more the magnitude of the disaster that Hamas brings upon them," adding that "We will continue to strike at terrorists at an unprecedented level."
Netanyahu stated that he isn't "moving a millimeter from the outline that Biden blessed."
"I'm not adding conditions or subtracting," he argued. He went on to claim, without providing evidence, that "Hamas asked for 29 changes," without elucidating.
The Prime Minister also commented on Rafah following a question from a reporter, going on to explain that "I told my friend, Biden, there is no choice, I will enter Rafah. If not, we will not release the Hostages and we will not defeat Hamas."
The Prime Minister fails to explain why, then, if this was required to obtain the hostages, he has still failed to free them following his army's near complete destruction of Rafah City.
"They entered Rafah, we occupied the Philadelphia axis. And suddenly things start to move," Netanyahu says of the area of the Rafah border crossings, without explaining why his forces also had to burn the facilities to the ground. The resulting destruction and the closure of the crossings continues to prevent desperately needed humanitarian aid from reaching Palestinians in southern Gaza.
Netanyahu went on to say that "If there is any progress and a change in the situation, it is due to the military pressure on Hamas, that I am preventing the negotiations."
"The military pressure was not strong enough," the Prime Minister added.

another crowd gathering around an aid convoy has been hit
at least 20 people have died with more than 100 injured. the Gazan Health Ministry accused the Israeli forces of purposefully targeting large crowds of civilians waiting for aid.
the Israeli military denied the allegations and blamed Palestinian gunmen were the causes. it’s impossible to immediately verify who is correct or incorrect.
in recent weeks, the demand for more aid has increased. the US recently built a port on sea to send food and conducted airdrops, but none of it is enough. some of the food were expired or not halal, and some aid attempts have turned deadly.
but ceasefire/hostage return hopes have increased since Hamas dropped its criteria of a permanent ceasefire and agreed to a hostage exchange. let’s hope this one goes through and a ceasefire follows, and for the hostages on both sides to return home safely.
free Palestine.

at least 5 killed after airdropped aid falls on them in Gaza - CNN
at least 20 awaiting food killed in attack, Gazan authorities say - New York Times

May or may not do something with this, but I'm imagining Kara abducted as Kara Danvers, fitted with a kryptonite collar or something. She's in agony, but still has her comms to the Tower. Lena stays on the line with her, promising they're working on finding her.
Meanwhile, Lena receives an incoming message all her own-- a demand from Lex, offering an exchange, Lena for Kara.
Lena makes her decision before the transmission even ends. Taking a deep breath, she keys open the line to Kara, and settles into the calm of relief.
"It's going to be okay. I'm coming."

I'm still a bit surprised CNN aired this. Nima Elbagir managed to express so much empathy in a very subtle way while reporting the facts. I have seen her before and knew she reported on important issues within Africa for example but definitely gonna look up more of her interviews where I can find them.
That mother embracing her daughter as they reunited brought tears to my eyes. I know the ceasefire is temporary and not the end goal but it's hard not to be happy at a moment like this.

As great as the exchange of hostages was, we need to remember a few things:
1. Palestinian prisoners are hostages. A lot of them children. False arrests with pretenses of committing violence backed with such poor evidence it’s a disgrace. Also, most of the ‘confessions’ are through brutal interrogation (cc: torture).
2. They arrested just as quick, if not quicker, than they released. They kidnapped people with no charges so they can force them to be part of the ‘exchange’ so that the hostages who WERE supposed to be part of it stay in jail.
3. The stories coming from freed Palestinians are fucking horrific. No food, no water, stripped, left naked, no blankets or pillows, barely a mattress to sleep on, bloodied, beaten, sexually assaulted, raped, humiliated, and straight up murdered. Some of the kids released are detailing how the IOF killed other hostages in front of them. Yeah.
4. They went around terrorizing the families of the hostages meant to be released threatening them & even beating them as a warning to not celebrate.
5. They shot a teenager for celebrating someone’s freedom. The IOF lady said it like it was a perfectly good reason to end a life.
6. They’ve announced Jenin as part of the war zone now and they’re encroaching on more of the West Bank. Ramallah being one of them. Neither are next to Gaza.
7. They’ve killed several Palestinians during this ‘ceasefire’. November 29, 2023: a teenager and a 9-year-old were killed.
8. They are not honoring the ‘ceasefire’. Dozens of Palestinians in Gaza have either been abducted or killed for attempting to go back North.
Not a single hostage held by Hamas has spoken of any mistreatment. These people are leaving happy, smiling, literally shaking hands, laughing with, & dapping with Hamas soldiers. Zionists are losing their minds trying to push forward the ‘“their loved ones are being held hostage obviously they’re doing it so they won’t get hurt” narrative, but considering the hostages released have been reported to be in good health, that seems extremely doubtful.
Take the time to look up some of those statements. One hostage wrote them a thank you note because her daughter felt like a queen with how well they treated her. They gave the kids candy, they allowed the hostages to see & talk to each other, played with the kids if the kids asked. Compared to the ones being given by Palestinian hostages & then watching more get kidnapped is just… and now merciless bombing across Gaza with threats telling people in Gaza to evacuate even more South. There’s no more South left. Don’t quiet down now, you need to be screaming louder than ever. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

"It's a letter from Whumper," says Team Leader, tearing open the envelope. "They've finally sent demands."
As they read, they go pale.
"What does it say?" asks Whumpee. "I mean, there's not much we can do but agree and buy time, but…"
""Leave the Macguffin at [Location] at dawn tomorrow and I'll give you a one-year truce.""
Whumpee gasps. "We can't give up the Macguffin!"
"They also say… "If you're not willing to give up the Macguffin, that's fine. Leave Whumpee instead and I'll return them when I see fit, provided you do nothing to breach the truce.""
