Apart from her own house: Gryffindor!! She almost went to the lion house but the sorting hat decided she would fit better in hufflepuff, so I think it's pretty normal for her to feel more comfortable with gryffindor rather than the other ones. Also, she sneaks a lot to their common room thanks to Jae and the Weasley's brothers and she loves it there!

45. What is MC's least favourite holiday?

Hmmmm I think she likes them all, but if I have to say one it would be Christmas?? Once she started studying at Hogwarts her mother left her there every holidays to visit family in America. Heaven always had the option to go with her mom but the relationship with her family it's pretty meh, so it's not a big deal for her to stay in Hogwarts. Some years were amazing because she had the opportunity to spend it with some friend that stayed too, but the ones where she was alone she felt kinda nostalgic and missed her mom and brother a lot.

Bruh Barnaby is the epitome of purity and perfection. Why would he be mad? No, our local puppy was just relieved.

Jokes aside, what happened is that Barnaby was going to sneak out himself, but Ismelda caught him sneaking out. But because she too cares about Sarahi, and knows there's no changing Barnaby's mind, she joins him. Levi saw them on the Training Grounds and followed them, while Chiara was in the Forbidden Forest when they all got there, and joined in as well.

At the time, both Sarahi and Rakepick too, coincidentally, were in the Forbidden Forest. Having recovered for the most part, Sarahi liked being useful, so she and Rakepick were collecting potion ingredients for Adelaide. And Rakepick had some medicine on hand for Sarahi should she have any bouts of pain. Long story short, Barnaby's little search party found them, leading to a reunion with plenty of hugs and tears.

Once Sarahi convinced everyone that- "No, Rakepick isn't dangerous. No, she didn't hurt me." etc, they all too came back to Adelaide's home. Unfortunately, now that Barnaby, Ismelda, Chiara and Levi knew Sarahi was alive, they too had to remain hidden in Adelaide's safehouse for both their own safety and Sarahi's, until the situation with R was dealt with. This is something that the group was okay with, saying that their place was with Sarahi so they could help her.

Focusing on just Barnaby, he was relieved, and wouldn't even have left had it been a choice. Once Sarahi had explained herself and what had happened, he wasn't at all upset because he understood why Sarahi felt like she needed to leave, and why she needed to hide. Though he did make her promise to not just disappear again, and demanded that she wouldn't push him away. This was not an argument, but a long discussion.

Not sure how soon thanks to life shenanigans lol I did make some sketches in the meantime that hints at some things for this au.

Context for those that don't know: This is an au where Talbott is much more friendly and social on the outside, but is very deep in the anger stage of grief on the inside. None of his friends are aware as he doesn't want to worry them. His rage and grief are his and his alone. That is, until Reina finds out thanks to her ability to see and feel one's true emotions.

TFW you meet your crush only to find out he has some serious EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE

The manifestation behind Talbott is his Effigy, which in this setting is the projection of his Soul. Keeping all his rage and grief within caused his Effigy to take on that unsettling form.

Effigies of those who have been wronged are known to glare at anyone responsible, giving them the unsettling sensation that they're being watched. It's a little hard to tell but Talbott's isn't glaring at Reina, but rather starting off elsewhere. I've been playing with the idea that in addition to sensing one's emotions, Reina can also see them.

Poor Reina ends up being way too scared to go near Talbott for a while, and feels bad because she knows it's not his fault. He's a genuinely good kid that's angry and hurt. He just ends up thinking she's way more shy than she lets on.

9. A kiss on the eyelid.

Heaven never felt ashamed of her birthmark, the one who had the shape of a weird hand and covered a big part on the left side of her face.

It wasn't until the battle of Hogwarts where Heaven had a sudden fight with Mérula. She couldn't react on time and a blinding green light slashed her face with the force of a thousand volts.

Mérula had just cast only the prototype of a torture spell on her. A single lash from Mérula's wand was enough to knock Heaven over and make her scream in agony with her eyes closed, in denial and afraid to find her own hands full of blood that ran down her face. Luckily for Heaven, she was rescued quickly, before anything worse could happen.

The worst part was actually the days that followed: days of more agony due to the pain that the burn was causing her, and that few medicines managed to calm the pain. She also remained blind in the affected eye for a couple of months, and was sometimes forced to wear an eyepatch to avoid irritating the sensitivity of her injured eye.

For Heaven, her face became unrecognizable. It was swollen, wounded and burned. And suddenly that birthmark that she appreciated so much, that made her stand out in a particular and silly way, was no longer there.

It was the first time that Heaven hated to look herself in the mirror, because the most important feature of her body had been taken from her with no mercy and full of disgust.

She was scared and sad thinking about how her loved ones would receive her when notice the obvious, and felt less and less motivated to leave her room.

But there was someone who actually refused to leave her side all that time.

Talbott became all the support she could ask for and more. He took care of her wounds, while also making sure to remind her every single day how much he loved seeing her alive next to him. Finding new ways to compare her scar to sweet and beautiful things in such a poetic way, as he always used to do.

Little by little, Heaven regained her confidence and over time she found a more optimistic way of seeing her new face.

Now she is the one who makes sure to thank Talbott every day he was by her side, with her very particular and sweet displays of affection, full of kisses and a warm home with a small but lovely family, next to her and Tristan. 💖

I like the line about the suits of armour in particular because, in the previous part, Ben was complaining about how they're too loud.

I'd actually love to see a similar mechanism with Rowan being used more often, even in the main story. I believe it'd be a great way to return to old plotlines, for example. Imagine that MC is thinking how much they want to have Rowan to advise them, and then, they suddenly remember something important they said about something which happens to be relevant right now. I could feel very natural if done properly, too.

And most importantly, we'd see Rowan more often! 🥰
