hey is Tuesday! I've been reading a ton of Hydrapeter fics lately and uh. theyre sad wow huh??? anyway hsjdh, i found a random knucklebone in my back garden, origin unknown, i done know if its a cow bone or something else?? im going to be adding it to my collection of random cool stuff, which makes me ask whether peter, may, DD or any of the others hoard random items they collect? not even necessarily with a theme,unless theyre the sort to theme things like that? thankyou, have a great week!!!

so there’s this park behind my school and they did an archeological dig there and this pit they dug up used to be a lake in Victorian/Edwardian times and they found all kinds of my-research-relevant things, like kid’s shoes and dolls and shit.

BUT

They also found all these weird glass marbles and all these fucking pig knuckles?? But it turns out that poor kids used to smash old soda bottles to get the marbles out of them to play with (Old UK soda bottles used to look a lot like today’s Japanese Ramune soda bottles, so they had these marbles in them to seal in the carbonation) but then it also turns out that kids were using pigs knuckles as kind of like what we in the US call jacks? Where you’ve got a ball and you’ve gotta bounce it and pick up as many jacks as you can? Either that, or there are other games where you toss stones etc and try to catch them on your hands or pick up other objects
