He will teach you the rhythm and steps if you have two left feet. Each time you trip or fall, he simply quirks a smile and offers a hand. He does not judge, only finds some amusement in how adorable he finds you. If you know how to dance? How delightful. He will play some faint music to follow along too. His hand rested along the small of your back and his fingers intertwined with yours. Dipping you and guiding you as the music fades away and you’re left with the trance of his loving gaze.

As much as he is a gentleman, I think he’d love harmless pranks. Gentle teasing of your character to see your frustrations and shock. He’d ‘misplace’ an item of yours to see you scour in confusion. Then, when you look at him, he is holding it out with a devious little smirk. He lets out a chuckle when you stomp over and nearly cuss him out. He loves every side of you and you know that it’s lighthearted fun… and god damn is it hard to hold a grudge when he has a smile like that. Curse him, truly.

He needs some sort of power and dominance to soothe his mind. Though, he does not use fear to control his citizens anymore. He’s truly impressed by the way you swayed him. You can see it in the way he gazes at you sometimes. There is certain softness as his hand grasps yours and he looks to you for reassurance in a moment of vulnerability. He needs you to keep him in reigns.

He loves holding you from behind and to bury his face into your neck. The crook between your head and shoulder holds such warmth and a smell that is yours. It reminds him of the path he has chosen… and the person he gets to cherish for it. He places his hands onto your stomach and allows his sharp, metal nails to tease the skin. To remind you of the still powerful man whose giving up such command and control to you. Someone who grounds him. He might even hum into your skin in content if you do not push him away. Honestly, you will eventually. He could cling onto you like a koala of you did not stop him. The person you had been talking to had instantly grown tense and backed off, seeing how touchy Wilbur instantly had been with you when they had to work up to grazing your arm or hold one of your hands. Not missing the usage of “darling”, either.

“No, we were just chatting.” You answered with ease, unaware of the mood shift from the other person as you leaned into Wilbur.

Wilbur places a kiss on your cheek right after, moving to properly wrap his arms around your waist. “They left quickly.” You had grumbled under your breath with a slight huff, clearly not realizing they had been flirting with you.

“It's alright, let's go get something to snack on, love.”

— he's definitely the type to randomly throw tiny things at you. he'll throw a random piece of popcorn during a movie at home. when you're reading he'll ball up a ripped piece of paper and throw it at you. the only things he'll properly hand to you are important objects, like a tamagotchi.

— speaking of tamagotchi, he'll definitely at some point co-parent one with you. he names it together with you and will switch with you throughout the day. when he goes on tour, if you don’t come with him, he lets you keep it.

— he’s definitely written songs about and for you. whether it's a soft song about the morning spent together or a song about your ups and downs, it’s written with attention and love. he usually likes to get your opinion on the songs he’s written, but he’ll wait until the songs for you are completely done.

— when you do decide to go on tour with him, he's completely smitten and ecstatic to bring you along. you get along well with Ash, Joe, and Mark and usually go souvenir shopping and get Wilbur a gift. he's definitely had you step on stage to dance with him at least once if you were too shy to sing.

Wilbur lets out a breath, feeling like he was the embodiment of power and euphoria. His eyes go to his band mates just behind him on the stage, momentarily blocking out the crowd before his eyes land on you, just behind the curtain. A familiar loving look falls over his features as he smiles that one smile specifically for you, raising a hand and motioning you over.

They were already getting ready for their next song, but he had a sense of urgency to be close to you. When you shake your head with a clearly obviously nervous smile, he walks away from his position. Behind the curtain, his hands would find your own as his lips press to yours for even just a second before he's gently tugging you along as he steps back out onto the open stage.

He loves when you fold and join him, especially when you slip into what seemed like a natural role on stage. He can't bring himself to do anymore than take long glances when he starts talking or singing once more. Wilbur felt like his breath was taken away more and more with each passing second, yet not from the crowd or the singing.

We have all heard That Line™; I'd imagine that having both been so pent up, they would immediately jump each other's bones given the opportunity — Shadowheart is absolutely unsubtle and Karlach is Karlach

I actually think it would be one sided for a while!! But not in the piney way. I think Shadowheart attempts to rizz the shit out of Karlach only to fail because Karlach's situation with her engine essentially made her exceptionally good at Resisting Temptation (I find it absolutely hilarious that most of Karlach's in-game responses are so purposefully obtuse when it comes to her)

That in particular pisses Shadowheart off since she would be so used to being able to finesse her way through things like this (because of her background as a professional 'spy' — because otherwise...she's an absolute dork); it makes her try extra hard and eventually come to the conclusion that her attraction is greater when in fact Karlach has had more experience living like a Nun™ than she does

As for the development...I think they would be on similar levels of attraction, but tackle it differently — Karlach would immediately embrace the feeling and Shadowheart will try her fucking hardest to rationalize it away/deny it (queen of repression)

They would probably be fast friends (Shadowheart rizzing Karlach), then actual friends (because Karlach is so earnest Shadowheart feels like she can be earnest too), physically involved, then romantically involved — it only outwardly seems fast, but they definitely have things to work through before they can actually really be honest and feel that they can rely on each other completely

Random headcanon/general thoughts that have going FERAL IN THE CLUB:

I think they work really well together — they balance each other out in the sense that they have very different ways of handling their own stresses and trauma; they have a lot of opportunities to grow even just by being around one another (for example, Shadowheart is so Repressed™ even other characters feel the same way — and Karlach is the opposite); restraint and freedom go hand in hand 😌

They both have a love for adorable things...once the all of the shit with Karlach's heart gets sorted and they FINALLY get to live that cottagecore life, I think their farm would have so many more animals. Like. So many...Karlach would honestly just be so excited to be able to care for things again — and Shadowheart would be excited because she's finally allowed to be just as loud about showing that she DOES care

The idea that Shadowheart's hair could be a signifier for how closed off she is — so throughout the acts, she slowly lets it down/get messier figuratively and literally in front of everyone...AND KARLACH gets permission to touch and braid it as a sign of true trust and vulnerability; it becomes something of a ritual (Karlach is obsessed simply for the fact that she isn't seen as dangerous and is trusted to be able to be gentle about things) (thanks @kanobies for giving me that sweet, sweet psychic damage)

To add to that: they like physically pampering each other — Karlach finally internalizing that she can be 'pretty' and deserving of gentle care and Shadowheart internalizing that she is allowed to want/ask for things that aren't strictly necessary or used towards a greater cause (I don't think she's ever had a strong sense of bodily autonomy in the sense that she was gaslit into thinking every aspect of her life was for Lady Shar)

I feel as though he’d be big on spending time together. Anytime he gets to, when walking the dogs, cleaning together, one person sitting at the bar while to other makes food, shopping, if he’s writing he’ll try to be in the same room as you while you do whatever it is you need to do,

He prides himself on two things; 1.) His ability to always make you laugh. He thinks that it is highly amusing that you almost always laugh at his laugh, and how sometimes you both get trapped into a cycle of laughing even though the original thing wasn’t actually funny. 2.) How in touch with his emotions he is and how that helps with him empathizing with you. Like he’s very commutative when he feels that something is wrong or off in general.

I'm getting activity based events with Mark. Like he enjoys showing you the things that he likes to do and seeing you do the things that he likes. He also enjoys having you show him the things that you love to do! Any kind of art, or reading, or gardinging you mention, he;s going to learn all he can about it, so you can bet he’ll at least appreciate it, if not enjoy it.

Moving in with him!!!

Like he’d be so happy to help in any way he can, like he’s helping you move boxes, plants, and decor. A little after you officially move in, he’s wanting to sit down and talk about the general aesthetic of the house and if there is any furniture that you want to change or add or how to best implement the things that you brought with you from your old place.

Spending more time with the dogs! Chica and Henry, they are your dogs now, with how much they love you. Not only do they adore you, but you also get your own dog. It's a bit after moving in, once you're settled and everyone has adjusted to you being around as a permanent figure, Mark would surprise you with your own, I still think a samoyed dog. Like big, and fluffy, and hyper and super cuddly.

Who is super adorable and loves Mark, but is undeniably yours. Yes Mark helps train them, and goes on runs with them, and plays with them, Like they love each other, but that is your dog. That dog is obsessed with you and wants nothing to do with Mark when you’re around.

I think that if you were to both cook at the same time that it would be the biggest mess. Instead my suggestion is to have one person in the kitchen at a time and let the other person watch and talk to you. But also both of you practicing making the others favorite meals without telling and just surprising them.

One more Lancelot headcanon tho that I forgot to mention, something that's kind of au-like but, since he was stuck with the Lady of the Lake for so long, he considers her like a mother almost. She was the one who was with him the entire time he was stuck wherever he was. Of course, had Master Jericho, but Lady of the Lake, /Mother/, was by his side, in his mind, whispering words of comfort in his ear and running her hidden fingers through his hair when he needed reassuring. She was a rock he didn't know he needed. But, she's also the reason for everything he hates about himself. It's why he avoids Benwick, why he doesn't come home. He can't face his mother---his /real/ mother, how could he, when he replaced her so easily?

Very much Stockholm syndromey for sure with the whole Lady of the Lake situation. He feels like he needs her even though she was the one keeping him trapped. He needs her like he needs a limb, but at the same time, he feels like he could make do with never seeing her again because he hates her for taking away those years he could've had with his parents, his uncles, his aunties, with /Tristan/---

MELIODAS HEADCANONS HEHEHEHE

Meliodas is a VERY overprotective father. It might not seem like it at first, but he's extremely careful and watchful of his son. That's his baby. The one thing he's been waiting for for nearly three thousand years, the thing that brings him and Elizabeth eternal joy and happiness, the one thing that makes all of their suffering worth it.

When Tristan is born, Meliodas is like "dude I hit the jackpot first TRY" because holy shit THAT'S ELIZABETH REBORN...AGAIN! It's why they stopped at one---they don't need to try again bECAUSE HE ALREADY WON AHAHAHA

(Ban and Meliodas are like sobbing for joy together because they BOTH won man. Sons that look just like their mothers first, TRY. A millennia in purgatory was all worth it for THEM)

He's TERRIFIED of the thought of Tristan training with real weapons when he's a toddler though. Elizabeth is all for it, saying that he'd be fine and they'd be right there if anything happened. She was always willing to let Tristan have the freedom they never did---but Meliodas was biting his knuckles bloody because what if his little boy gets HURT??? Goddess healing or not, his precious boy would still be in pain!!!

Like I said, VERRYYYY overprotective but slowly tries to learn to let go and let his son be his own, although as Tristan grows up, he mistakes his father's overprotectiveness for disappointment and doubt in his own child. But, Tristan couldn't be more wrong...

He has two entire wardrobes filled with frilly dresses and adorable little fluffy blouses by the time he's four. She braids his hair, lets it grow long and longer still. Ties his silver locks into ponytails, or buns, and even puts little accessories on his head here and there. Tristan surprises her with how much he seems to love it---or maybe it's because his mother's attention is solely focused on him.

SHE IS THE QUEEN OF BRITANNIA! I'm sorry but making Meliodas King makes absolutely no sense to me...probably bc I'm a hardcore ASOIAF fan so seeing a daughter who is technically in line for throne get cast aside by a random male protagonist with no claim whatsoever makes me lose my mind lmfao. BUT SHE IS THE QUEEN! She handles diplomatic and domestic issues all throughout the kingdom meanwhile Meliodas is in charge of the military, trade routes, training Holy Knights, and other little things that the Queen doesn't need to be involved with.

She acts more like the Elizabeth we meet at the beginning of the series, a little more reserved and a little shyer but she will stand her ground and be the Queen her kingdom needs when the time calls for it.

Nakaba, I like you sometimes and all, but that god awful, horrible, eye traumatizing DRESS you put that beautiful woman in is a crime against women. I WON'T STAND FOR IT! Elizabeth wears the most REGAL ELEGANT gowns. Thinking more of victorian and medieval fashion slapped together with some Targaryen fashion sprinkled in as well. She WILL be dressed beautifully with a silver band that wraps around her head with little jewels and crystals hanging from it. Meliodas has a gold band with a single gem, indicating his status as the Prince-Consort to the Queen, and then Tristan has a silver band like his mother with sapphires and pearls, indicating HIS status as the Crown Prince of Britannia and biological relation to the Queen of Britannia.

Sexuality Headcanon: Toko's...tough, because she's got so much going on. regardless, i think if you strip everything away she's genuinely Bisexual, as is Syo. they lean towards Men, but Komaru is special. additionally, i say "comphet" for a lot of the girls, but in Toki's case it's a bit different: hers was less societal and more the abuse of her peers and parents. had she never met Komaru it may have never occurred to her that she could love and partner up with a Woman.

brief aside on this: i don't think Toko would ever identify as gay or queer or anything remotely accurate or healthy (ha). nor would Syo, but Syo would probably use a Slur as a label to get a rise out of people, avatar of rebellion and grunge that she is. Toki in particular is on my list of personal "what are you, gay or something?" characters while actively being married to a woman, next to Miu and a few others. good times

Gender Headcanon: okay, hear me out on this one, and sorry if this doesn't make sense, but...

the Fukawas are generally cis to me, though i've imagined a few scenarios where they're trans. when they're cis, however, i headcanon that, if they're with Komaru, only Toko ends up actually being cis. Syo becomes a sort of...genderweird she/her because she sees herself as the fantasy-masc Byakuya to Komaru's femininity. for lack of a better term: Syo thinks of herself as Komaru's husband (hersband...) a lot.

A random headcanon: to expand on my previous point...i will add, however, that my Fukawa Headcanons generally don't exclude Byakuya. i've said before that, for me, the Fukawas never really lose their crush on him, but it becomes purely, well, NSFW. if you excuse me being blunt for a moment: they still want to rail him, he figures in many of their fantasies, but they don't want to wake up next to him, and they certainly don't want to have his kids or make him breakfast.

Komaru, however, is the Fukawas' WIFE. she is Love, she is Healing, and she is their very best friend at her core beyond all the romance. she is pancakes and shitty manga and joy. Toko (and Syo) may not dream of Komaru kicking them around, but they do dream of creating a peaceful life with her. well...as peaceful as things can get in that timeline. some shit is always Happening

🫶 thank you anon. i gave this a listen, and honestly it makes so much sense. the beginning part sounded akin to lo-fi, and i was like...yeah, sae would definitely listen to something chill like this. but then i heard the vocals, and it was surprisingly groovy. also i think sae just canonically has a soft spot for things that remind him of home. he watches chibi maruko-chan. he gets shio kombu sent from his parents' home because spain doesn't have it. he listens to cute songs that probably remind him of his childhood. (lol he's adorable he just doesn't know it yet.)

also i searched up the lyrics...and i have to say the itoshi brothers must be fundamentally tied with star/planet motifs in every universe or something. suisei (水星) is kanji for mercury. (on a side note, i find this funny because the literal translation for the characters is water star which doesn't sound like mercury at all but whatever.)

ok returning back to the lyrics, i found a select few that match his character well:

i feel like this basically summarize sae's mindset down to two lines. it's always a false dilemma for him. either he does something and becomes the best at it or he doesn't do it at all. sort of like kill or be killed. unfortunately, i think this extreme mindset is also why he tends to struggle with maintaining personal relationships.

"now i'm in truce with that guy who's my rival"

this line made me laugh because both sae and rin are always so brooding when it comes to declaring random people as their rival. like....relax please. it's not that serious. but on the other hand, it might also refer to their tendency to compare themselves (either to their past selves or to other people.)

"flew from i-pod, i-phone / a bundle of data, when we always hold them"

data and numbers are basically sae's thing in the manga, but i think this lyric also refers to the passage of time. i headcanon sae as one of those people who acts like he's an old grandpa when in reality he's still in his 20's or something. he just views the past, present, and future differently from others his age.

"i spent much (time/money) to be youth"

yeah....sae would probably think this. time is money in his hands, and he's running out of it. i think this could go both ways. either he spent too much in order to become the best. or he feels like he didn't spend enough time/appreciation towards his youth before it was taken away from him.

Circling back to something that I had mentioned within a previous post, I personally headcanon that Doe has a large amount of admiration for humanity. And with the rise of the internet in our daily lives, I think it would make sense for Doe to consume a large amount of media, including content of you! I imagine that it would be a large coincidence. Maybe he was just watching some random videos on YouTube and managed to come across one of your interviews for a new album. Maybe your career had been doing quite well at the time and you had managed to make it onto TV, and he had seen you while idly scrolling through the channels. Regardless of how he had managed to come across you, he would have fallen for you instantaneously. I’m talking going down the rabbit hole, getting so close to the TV that his eyes might as well just be touching the screen, watching so much content of you that his recommendations are mostly filled with videos about you.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・This obsession would grow incredibly quickly, with all of the content he’d watch feeding it even further. He’d buy all of the merchandise you offer, whether that be from a collaboration or from something that you’d create on your own. He’d design shirts based off of the song and album covers you’d create, wearing them more often than others so he could show the amount of adoration he holds for you. He’d sing your praises both online and in person, whenever and wherever he could, annoying as many people as he could with rants and raves about how amazing you were. And his obsession would only continue to worsen as he’d find himself in deeper and deeper parts of the community, all of them sharing a similar obsession and justifying it.

The Uncanny Valley, despite its growing population, wouldn’t necessarily be a place that idols would often visit, a claim that would hold through to you. No matter how many times you’d tour around the globe, it would seem that the Valley would never be graced with your presence, as even so-called ‘world tours’ would go out of their way to keep you from stepping foot in the place. So he’d have to force himself to make due with the recordings of those concerts posted online, with him watching you dance and sing around the stage as everybody cheered. He’d try to imagine himself standing there alongside everybody else, imagine you reaching out a hand, pulling him up to stand beside you where he longed to be.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・As such, you could imagine the absolute joy that he experienced when he learned that you would be moving to the Valley in order to take a short break from your usual lifestyle. He’d sit in front of the screen in disbelief, watching as you gave one final smile and wave to the paparazzi as you disappeared from their view. And as a smile crept upon his face, nothing could’ve stopped the belief that those gestures had been intended for him. And by that point, I doubt that anything could have convinced him otherwise.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・The Uncanny Valley isn’t a very large place, and all newcomers usually get to the city on the same bus. This is something that Doe would know relatively well, something that he would try to use to his advantage in an attempt to meet you. Depending on how far away you would’ve been before deciding to come to the Valley, Doe would go out of his way to try and calculate when you’d finally make it over, keeping tabs online for any updates and visiting the bus stop daily with a pen and a poster of yours on hand. And he would know for certain the day that you would be arriving, because as he would step closer to the platform he would see the appearance of a large crowd piling around the station. He would try to squeeze his way through the massive sea of fans, though he would be disappointed to find himself getting shoved back with each attempt. And all hopes of being able to make his way closer to you would practically be dashed the moment that the bus would’ve started to pull in, with everybody fighting each other to get closer as you finally stepped off. 

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・To make matters even worse for him, he would’ve only gotten away from the horde after taking some damage to both his faux body and his [no longer pristine] merch. In fact, the poor poster would be clinging to whatever life it had left after he had made his escape, with it being bent and ripped in ways that he couldn’t repair. And even though there were small dents and chunks missing from his faux body, leaving segments of hair peeking out, he’d be so deep in his infatuation that he wouldn’t even care. After he’d get over the initial feelings he’d have about the situation, I imagine that he’d try to take it as a lesson. Doe is a person that values being straightforward, though he’d realize that approach wouldn’t work due to how large your fanbase is. And much to his benefit, it turns out that you didn’t bring any bodyguards with you! Just… don’t ask him how he knows that.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・With all of that buildup out of the way, I imagine that Doe would be a rather devoted stalker. The fact that he’s inhuman would also come along to help his goals, with him not needing to leave your side in order to rest or sleep. This fact would also spell out trouble for you if you ever learned about his actions, seeing that [even if you tried to move to another hotel] he could just follow you around at any time of day. Once again drawing back to something mentioned in a previous post, I imagine that the scars littering his arms would be his way of counting the amount of days he’s been stalking you for, with him sitting near your current hotel room during the night as he’d tally another day of success. He would even leave gifts around your suite, ranging from some of the merchandise that he’s been stockpiling to the more bloody gifts that he leaves behind in the game. Interestingly enough, however, I think that the first gift he would leave you would be the crumpled up poster from the bus stop. You’d probably take it more as a threat than anything, though to Doe your fear would signal interest.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・Of course, Doe wouldn’t be the only person who decided to take his so-called ‘loyalty’ to the next level. From other ‘regular guys’ to other types of entities - and possibly even some other humans, Doe would find himself surrounded by people who were desperate to get your attention as well. Sharing, however, isn’t something that he’d prefer to do in an ideal circumstance, and he’d be quick to try and find ways to keep you all to himself. Some weaker entities would be easier to deal with, with most of his tactics just involving misleading them away from you or scaring them off if they were more persistent. When it comes to the more troublesome ones, however, he prefers to leave that up to the proper authorities. Leaving a few pictures of those other stalkers near your door, or possibly giving the police a direct tip-off are his go-to’s, and he’s never close to feeling any remorse as he sees them get exposed. If anything, he sees it as something that they deserve, with their attempts of coming between the two of you. Besides, there’s no point in getting himself into a battle that he knows he can’t win.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・And, of course, he wouldn’t just stalk you without making attempts to get closer to you. And trust me when I say that he’d make good use of the information he’d gain while watching over you every day. Similarly to the events of John Doe +, Doe would likely take on a more normal looking form while approaching you, doing his best to come off as human-like as possible. You’d be shocked about how well the two of you get along, seeing how much you both have in common. And despite common sense telling you that you shouldn’t get too close with fans, you’d still find yourself saying yes when he’d ask you to a café.

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・Depending on how things go [and how strong Doe’s obsession is at the time], your little coffee run with him could go in one of two ways. One way is relatively normal, with things going well enough for you to not raise any suspicions against the figure. In that case, you’ll simply just assume that he has a compatible personality to yours, and the two of you will continue to hang out with each other as friends [leaving you unaware of his activities outside of your meetings]. On the other hand, assuming that his façade starts to slip up, Doe might end up unveiling the truth behind himself and trapping you in a similar way to ending 4. You would barely even register it happening, with you leaving the café at one moment and suddenly finding yourself in the strange, messy maze of his home. Everything would click as you’d turn around to find a familiar silhouette, leading to you rushing up to him and then reeling back in shock when he’d face you with his normal appearance. He’d hug you while practically yelling from excitement, telling you all about the ways that he had stalked you, how he had been your fan for so long and he had just known that the two of you were meant to be together - how when you came to the Valley he just knew that it was a sign! He’d talk about all of the other people that had been on your trail, too, chide you for not having anybody to protect you - but now he was here and you were with him and he wouldn’t let anybody hurt you!

╰₊˚ʚ🔪ɞ・Getting away from Doe would be an incredibly hard feat, at this point, with him practically staying glued to your side all the time. Even in the rare instances that you would manage to get out of his sight, it would be incredibly difficult to navigate through all of the piles of garbage and seemingly endless maze of doors, rooms, and hallways. It didn’t help that the place had some strange affinity for blocking out your cell phone’s signal, or that every door you opened seemed to lead to some place that seemed much worse than where you were already. He’d at least bring you food and water, even if on an irregular basis, making you glad that the thing holding you hostage at least had some concern for your well being. He also didn’t seem to get upset with you, even after you’d try to escape, with him mainly seeing you wandering off as a game. Nevertheless, it would seem that you would have to adjust to life stuck within his weird home, at least for a while until you could devise a proper plan of escape. Whether or not that works, however, is purely based on luck. And even though Doe might not take escape attempts too seriously, I imagine that he’d certainly get more serious if you ever managed to get away.

Haikyuu Ideal Types (pt 2)

I'm having a lot of fun with these, hopefully I'll get some more done soon, Demon Slayer ones are drafting rn, and I'm gathering a list for random animes soon (horimiya, tokyo ghoul, toilet-bound hanako-kun ect) I really hope you like this one!

Characters: Akaashi, Iwaizumi, Daichi, Asahi, Bokuto

I will put a disclaimer that I do personally believe that the haikyuu compatibility range is a little wider than MHA characters or other fandom characters, So this isn't truth haha, just my opinions.

Fluff, Hc,

Akaashi:

I believe wholeheartedly that Akaashi would be a fantastic partner, but would deeply crave someone who's consistent. Akaashi is amazingly analytical and perceptive, but he is haunted by his inner thoughts, his own insecurities. I really think that someone who's consistent and reassuring would help Akaashi realize how much he's accomplished despite his insecurities. I don't think Akaashi would mind if they were energetic or not. One thing I think he might crave is someone who's willing to slow him down and help him breathe, they can be energetic, in fact I think it would complement him, but he needs someone to help him slow down and find the little joys in life.

Iwaizumi

I think that Iwaizumi likely won't date til he's graduated for a few years, but when he does find someone who steals his heart? I believe that they would be resourceful and tranquil. Someone who can help him take a breath when he gets frustrated, and handle issues for him when it gets too much. He's stubborn and has a will of steel, so I think honestly someone who he can trust to take care of things would be amazing. In return, Iwaizumi I think would really really be a great fit for people who have abandonment or trust issues. He's steadfast, and despite his temper, he has shown that he won't walk away. I think give or take 5 years in this relationship y'all wouldn't be able to imagine life without each other.

Daichi:

I really feel that Daichi would deeply appreciate someone who's passionate. He's a hard-working and reliable leader, and I think he might also prefer calmer or more peace-centered souls. He's often shown chiding the team for their chaotic nature. I honestly do think that whoever he ends up has the potential to be a power couple. I do think that he'd require someone responsible to feel at ease, but he wouldn't mind someone forgetful or unorganized. He'd really appreciate them as he graduated and his love and respect for them would just grow and grow til he popped the question. I do as a final thought don't think it matters to him if they are grounded as he is or not, he'll grow as a person in both ways. 

Asahi:

I believe that Asahi would really admire a lot of people, but something that catches his attention is an honest nature. He'd respect someone who's unafraid to be honest, even if it hurt. He needs someone emotionally mature and honest to help him work through things. But Asahi would adore his partner, regardless of faults. I honestly headcanon that he would be a really good match for someone neurodivergent, as he's anxiously observant and would really not mind anything to help his S/O. I think that Asahi would need someone to spend time with him, so someone who's extremely busy might be challenging. But honestly, this man is a walking teddy bear.

Bokuto:

I have a feeling that this would honestly never get boring, Bokuto would be a very good partner to someone lacking motivation but with perception (similar to kenma or suna). He'd appreciate it if they had a sense of humor and didn't mind his nicknames. If you gave him a nickname, I absolutely think he'd get it engraved or tattooed on his body somewhere. I do think Bokuto needs someone who's more perceptive than he is, and can help him learn to not spiral in his mood swings, and can adjust to help. I honestly think that no matter what, Bokuto would love his soulmate, and wouldn't want to ever make them upset, he's perceptive in his own ways. also... he will melt if someone packs snacks for him.... just saying...

Hiiii! I absolutely adored your Anxiety sleepover/sleeping headcanons and I wasn’t sure if you’d be bothered if another person sent you additional headcanons, But yours just got me so inspired and

A. With every fiber of my being I feel like Anxiety would suck her thumb in her sleep/ while in the midst of spiraling cause she’s shown to stress gnaw and bite on things in the show and also It’s actually a thing where sucking on something can distract or stop an anxiety attack in its place. And not doubt this would switch over unconsciously (possibly why her teeth so GAH) because her body deals with the stress of like ten thousand men a day and it probably does everything it can to try and get her to sleep at least a little soundly. So doing it unconsciously would not surprise me. She’s definitely aware of it, but also embarrassed about it.

B. Like fear has his stuffed Bear. I feel like Anxiety would have a plushie. I don’t know what. But it was 100% given to her by Ennui. Who is the resident queen of being comfortable lazy and sleepy. (But also cause they’re totally in love and dating fieifndjdndd) OMG MAYBE ITS A FROG PLUSH. Whatever it is. Ennui made sure it was really soft and textile. Something Anxiety could rub or stroke and it would feel really nice against her hands. Like something she could snuggle when needing comfort, but also absentmindedly rub when she’s feeling anxious.

C. Not sleep related but Anxiety totally would love it when Ennui picks her up. Never asks for it but Ennui can always tell when she really wants it cause she’ll do a pseudo version of ‘uppies’ where she bounces on the balls of her feet and a lot of extra on purpose smiles and looks. oh. And Ennui can totally slink around her like a a boa constrictor but instead of a snake it’s just her being a lazy noddle and giving Anxiety a wrap around hug

I LOVE HER OVERBITE SO MUCH but this makes so much sense because it is a thing that like thumb sucking can cause misalignment (which is fucking genius by the way)

I really love the idea of Anxiety actually really liking frogs bc a lot of people find them cute and she resembles them a bit, although I feel like if someone called her a frog she'd get extremely nervous and think it's an attempt to insult her (it's a compliment frogs r ADORABLE)

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Actually, my first impression of him was rather a non-impression. Ikemen Sengoku was my first Otome game, and all those characters coming at me in the prologue was a bit of a sensory overload and no one really made a big impression. I'd decided to download the game based on an in-app ad I'd clicked during a puzzle game I'd been playing, and it was Masamune in the ad that had gotten me to download the game. Masamune then, was my first route, and Shingen is barely in that one. From Masamune's route, I intended to go to Kenshin, but I played Kenshin in a story event while I was reading Masamune, and his possessiveness there was a turn-off, so I picked Sasuke next. Then I did Sasuke's route and found Shingen an entertaining side character and he won me over then.

My impression now is that I adore him. Brains, emotional intelligence, a sly sense of humor, a sense of responsibility, and the fact that he treats his love interest like a Goddess... he's a Renaissance man, and I love that about him.

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

Shingen is very smart, but he likes to hide that behind the flirting. It's fun to write him slyly flirting with, or even just joking with his scene partner, where you think the conversation is about one thing, and then he outsmarts everyone. One of my favorite fics I wrote with him, wasn't a romance at all - it was a one shot with him, Mitsuhide, and Motonari trying to scam each other out of the last bed at an inn in a storm (but in reality, all three were also spying on each other). When you put three of the sneakiest characters in one scene, it just increases the potential for smart mayhem. Of course... I also like writing scenes with him being sexy, because he likes to take his time.

Hm... I'm not a huge fan of writing angst (it's just difficult to hit that line between angst and maudlin), and his canon story is pretty tragic.

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

Ok... we'll go with a modern AU for this, because I do already like his color scheme in game. We know that in game, Shingen is not only a very busy spymaster, but he also is a hobby woodcrafter. So he is going to want something that will be comfortable and allow for ease of movement. He's also very confident in his attractiveness and uses his charisma to distract people from the fact that he's information gathering, so he's not above showing off his body. But he'll do it in a comfortable way. A dark knit shirt that just barely clings to his chest muscles. Not tight, but when he moves, you can see the outline of his body. Jeans or cargo pants. Less tight here - this man moves around a lot and doesn't want his clothing to cut into him. And because he's always going to be interested in the history of warcraft, he's got a vintage leather bomber jacket - lined to keep him warm in cooler weather.

But also...ok, here is one. If he were stranded in a blizzard, and had to throw himself on the mercy of a family of poor farmers, he would be the best houseguest ever. He would not reveal his identity - he'd pretend to be a random traveler down on his luck. He would flirt with all the women in the household, from the elderly grannie to the six year old girl, and make all of them feel like a queen. He would chat with the men in the family and discover the state of that part of the country just from that part of the conversation. If they need repairs to the household, he would help out with carpentry. And he would eat two servings of dessert. Then weeks later, the family would discover a mysterious parcel of gifts for every member of the family.

I have no idea why this song makes me think of him. Less the lyrics and more just the vibe.

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

Well, we've already covered the intelligence and the emotional maturity, and the fact that he treats the people around him really well. So lets go also with his ability to take responsibility, and put his needs aside from the greater good. Granted sometimes he takes it too! far! and is too self-sacrificing to the point of risking his health. But he believes that the good of the people outweigh his need for revenge, and he's able to put aside personal feelings in lieu of doing what is best for the country. In other routes where he has a major role, he's always the one in the background, helping MC and her chosen love interest get their happy ending - although again, sometimes he goes too far. He'll step in and offer advice before it's asked for... he doesn't often let his friends figure things out on their own, if he realizes what the solution is before they do.

Bit of a ramble about something that's been on a mind for a while, about HK and the AU. Not really a vent, but just wanted to talk about it. It's pretty long so I'll hide it.

My relationship with HK these days is a bit complicated, to be honest. I absolutely adore the game, I get this warm feeling every time I hear the soundtrack and I still get the itch to replay it from time to time. It's a work for art and I'm so, so grateful I played it, even if I was quite late to the party all things considered.

But I can't deny that I fell into the rabbithole of having too many headcanons where I can't engage with other people to the extent I perhaps used to. I don't like many of the popular characters nearly as much as the fandom does, and those that are close to my heart I interpret in a way that speaks to me, but one that feels very distant to how other people view them.

It has some downsides. I avoid looking up HK fanart and I'm slowly starting to dislike getting posts about it recommended to me in the For You tab a little bit. Not because the art is bad, far from it, there are incredible artists and other members of this community that deserve all the love in the world. It's just that it keeps reminding me that my interpretations are so personal, and headcanons that go against them almost feel like mischaracterization, as ridiculous as it sounds. Some interpretations end up upsetting me more than I'd like, too. Some of it is misinterpretations that annoy me, but some are just things I personally don't agree with.

But part of me makes me think that it's my fault somehow. I can't quite explain it, I think this is somehow rooted in my self-esteem issues. I often fear that I don't belong, that I'm doing something wrong by not following the general fanon, that my AU feels like an insult against the canon because of how derived and self-indulgent it is. I didn't have that problem before, not to this extent, but as my mental health got worse over the months, it makes sense that something like this would also start to make itself known. Or at least it makes sense to me.

So deep down I'm torn. On one hand, I get weirdly protective over my interpretations and it's gone to the point where I struggle to separate them from the versions other people talk about. On the other, I'm starting to feel guilty that my AU versions are so different that they might upset some people.

I had some moments where I considered turning them into OCs. But every time I I think about that, I reach the conclusion that no, I don't want to do that. I love them the way they are, despite their designs evolving with time, I wouldn't want to change anything about them, let alone turn them into different characters. And it's not like I'm really changing the character from the canon. Some details are different, but it's also easy to forget that we don't really know much about a lot of these characters, so in many ways I'm just filling the blanks and writing the story around it. Not to mention, adapting canon in ways that I find personally engaging is one of my favorite things about the worldbuilding and lore of the AU. And then there's all the engagement from people who like the AU and want to learn more that is genuinely the main reason why it's as expansive as it is. I don't think I would've stuck around making art for it for this long if I was doing it for myself only.

But it's not just art, knowing that people care, and getting all the interesting ideas I haven't considered inspires me to expand the world of the AU even further, I think about it in my spare time, of all the ways I could develop the world, I still get random ideas for it that I eventually want to include, I read about something in the game's lore and I immediately think of the way I could adapt it into my AU. It became a personal project that I find comfort in, and changing it would just feel wrong. And I know how my brain works (well, at least I think I do), I know I wouldn't remain as invested if I were by myself, I need to share it with other people. And I doubt they would be as interested if it wasn't for the connection to HK. I think that's natural and to be expected.

So all that leaves me in a bit of an awkward spot. I love HK, but over the last year I built a wall around me and the sandbox of my personal interpretations, that creates this disconnect between me and the rest of the fandom. I don't think that fact alone makes me upset, either. There's a reason why I'm still sitting there and playing in that sandbox to this day, and it's because I genuinely love doing it. I guess the disconnect just feeds into my already existing confidence issues and worries. Then again, I haven't really left the fandom, and I'm not planning to anytime soon. All I'm hoping for is that my low-confidence plagued brain improves, and stops telling me I'm doing something wrong by playing in the sandbox by myself.

Okay, not by myself, that would be selfish of me to say. There's still a lot of you here, people whom my silly AU clicked with, people who want to see more of it and are still there for the 6th slice of life drawing of the week. I love and appreciate you all, and I'm really grateful I can share the sandbox with you. You're the best, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm so, so happy that you found something in my art that resonated with you.

I don't know how to end this post tbh. Again, it's not really meant to be a vent post, not the usual kind at least. Even if some things about this frustrate or upset me a little bit, I think I'm slowly moving towards the acceptance stage. I don't want to change my interpretations so they're more in line with the rest of the fandom, and I don't want to force myself to engage with things that upset me just to feel like I belong. All I'm hoping is that I eventually stop having doubts; about this, and everything in general.

I guess I just wanted to share my thoughts. Maybe someone else feels like they're in a similar spot. Maybe hearing some words of encouragement that I'm not going insane with this would also help me accept the position I'm in. Maybe it's Maybelline.
