LOCK-IN SZN [YOUR 8-WEEK ACCELERATOR] Week 5
NEW MONTH ENERGY - MOVEMENT MARCH
This is literally the month of all months for transformation. This is where you take your embodiment to ANOTHER level. This month you are showing up. No more writing goals, no more wishing and waiting. This month is for MOVEMENT. You move. You take action. You make better choices. That is all you do this month. Move towards the version of you that has the things you desire. Move towards a life you dream of. Move with grace, with flow, just keep moving.
Here’s what I’m doing to accelerate my transformation this month.
Dr Joe Dispenza Meditations daily - 1hr (these guided mediations are backed by science and are PROVEN to create transformation on a cellular level. But it requires a daily practice).
Daily journalling - the morning pages which is 3 pages of free writing to empty mind and access deeper wisdom within. Also this is a proven method in The Artists Way a book written by Julia Cameron that unblocks creativity.
Finding my community. I have joined a conscious business accelerator programme which is 2-3 sessions per week for the month of March. This is going to support mindset shifts for my transition from employment to self employed as I leave my career in tech this month and surround me with the energy for high level income and business success.
Investing in my image. As a visual person seeing myself as a representation of my next level is HUGE. This means dressing and looking like the thriving, abundant, radiant version of myself that has the dreams I desire. Investing in skincare treatments, ensuring my wardrobe reflects the woman I envision myself as. This means dropping cash. Removing items from my wardrobe that no longer align. Booking appointments.
Doing the most important tasks before 12pm. This is KEY. Feeling accomplished feels GOOD. Doing those difficult tasks before midday means I don’t feel guilty, or skip putting myself and my goals first. The world no longer comes before me. I am the most important person in my life, and it’s time my actions show this.
Letting go of the past once and for all, limiting my references to my past trauma in conversations. Redirecting my speech and thoughts towards what I want, not what I don’t want or what has hurt or harmed me. The more I do this, the more I shift my energy towards the life I desire.
Daily connections with God, through gratitude, daily prayer, reading the word and listening to sermons. This is key for my character development and grounding with the one who loves me the most. Receiving and accessing this love daily allows me to flourish and is a priority in my transformation journey.
Habit stacking. Reading during my sauna session. Doing my workout during my daily dog walk. Listening to a podcast as I walk to across the city. Preparing lunch as I prepare breakfast.
There’s a lot going on this month, but the most important thing is choosing yourself daily. Choose you EVERY single day. That is the practise, you choose you, and do it again and again and again. The more you make you a priority, the more you respect yourself, the more you invest in yourself, the more life will start to mirror that, the more shifts you will see in how people treat you, how your income becomes a reflection of your self investment.
So this is your opportunity for DRASTIC change. More so than January. March is for MOVEMENT with nature, shedding the old, making way for the new. It’s truly the most magical time of the year. So come out of your hiding place, your hibernation, your excuses, and MOVE into a new you. Shed your old skin, it’s not serving you, it never was. A new beginning awaits.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to pop in and say hey and give some updates. They're all very mild, but I feel like I've been quiet lately so I wanted to pop something out here for you so you get a feel for where I'm headed.
I have some asks that have piled up and I will be chipping away at them here and there. I had a weird week that I am recovering from, and my mind has been super unfocused lately. I'm doing better now, but had a bout with a few days of insomnia and anxiety. I am already a sleepy-sad mess in the winter, so this does me no favors. I'm popping in when I have some bursts of energy. Your asks and comments have made me smile, think, and get pumped for the days to come though, so I thank you for that. ^_^
Even though my energy is down, I am still finding enjoyment in working on some of the extras! Even if I can only work in short bursts, it's helped me find some respite. I have worked out a short-form character creation for the Cursed Birthday extra. I also have that outlined. My goal is to have that released by the end of this month!
I still plan on opening a Patreon soon, but I have kept putting it on the back burner as I focus on just making it through this time of year, lol. I am just so stupid-tired most of the evening when I have free time and am very over it. In future years, I'll be working ahead during the other seasons and then take a solid block of time between December and January off. I vote that we hibernate.
Before I open up Patreon, I want to have some work banked up and ready to go. Part of the benefits will be voting on what you want to read, but I need to have some basis to go off of for that and content to put out in between. I'll post some teasers and samples so you can see if the extras I have in store will tickle your fancy. I have a running list of both SFW and NSFW extras I'd like to write. Someone asked me earlier to spill (leak) some of my tea on these, so I will happily share a few things I have cooking in my noggin.
Regular (mild) Extras: * A series of stories about being "snowed in" with each of the ROs and how they spend the day with MC. * Each RO will get character-specific stories, featuring cute and romantic moments for things like Zahn's birthday or baking cakes with Oswin.
Spicy Extras: * A series of tales that are erotic dreams that the MC has while traveling with the group. Anything can happen here. * Each RO will have stories featuring spicy content relative to their character's desires. For example, in the first month of Patreon, Oswin will be featured in the spicy tier. The story is titled, "Honey," and is interactive. You can use your imagination. (shout out to the anon who already read my mind and called me on this, lol)
**Addendum** I remember what else I was going to include here so I'm editing. I have some corrections (typos and grammar and such) and a patch for Zahn's moment in Chapter 5 to put through but I cannot get the itch "Butler" application to work on my laptop still. I can't patch without breaking saves all over again. I am trying to find another computer I can do this on so I don't break saves just for a patch.
I think those were the main bits I wanted to touch on (hell if I actually remember, lol). I am recovering from my weird week and am happy it's the weekend. My new kitties are doing fabulous as well. They are very cute and keep me on my toes. Oh, and Arlo knows how to open doors, so there's that. Miles, who was very shy at first, has become a sweet little socialite too.
Tumblr media
Arlo just looks grumpy, but he is an absolute ham.
Tumblr media
Miles likes to lay with his feets dangling.

Expanding Chapter 4 - Insurmountable
a Buck and Tommy teen adoptee fanfic
| Rating: T | Words: 3,562 | CW: None | On Ao3 |
| Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 |
Buck
Buck sighs as he pours himself a cup of coffee. He’s the first one awake this morning so he’s in charge of getting it going. He’s off work for the day but Tommy is about to head in for a forty-eight hour shift. Just as he’s thinking that, Tommy strides into the kitchen wearing nothing but a pair of fraying black sweats, slung low on his hips. His dark curls are in disarray which he further disrupts as he yawns and rakes a hand through them. Like a bear still coming out of hibernation, he lumbers to Buck’s side and curls his huge body into Buck’s (only slightly) smaller back. “Morning.” Tommy mumbles, mouthing softly at the crook of his neck. Buck hums back happily, leaning slightly into it. Tommy wraps his arms around his waist and pulls him close, allowing the younger man to feel the remnants of last night's sleep pushing against his ass.
He’s not complaining.
“Morning. Coffee is ready.” Buck mutters, offering off the cup he’s been sipping at slowly, waiting for it to not be surface levels of hell hot. Tommy shakes his head without lifting it, burying his nose further into Buck’s neck, breathing him in. “You okay?” Buck asks, placing one hand over Tommy’s, giving it a squeeze. Tommy’s affectionate in the mornings, but this seems… More than usual.
“‘m fine. Miss you.” Finally he lifts his head and hooks his chin over his husband's shoulder.
Snorting Buck says, “I literally just got out of bed.”
Tommy side eyes him with those stormy blue orbs Buck loves. Not only that but he’s… Pouting. “You used to wake me up with -” Buck clamps a hand over Tommy’s mouth so fast the remnants of his coffee cup slosh unceremoniously onto the counter. He doesn’t retract his hand until his husband raises his eyebrows to signal he won’t say what he was going to. “I miss us.” Tommy confesses, planting a soft kiss to Buck’s cheeks. “Somehow it feels like having a teenager around makes getting alone time harder than if Branson was a baby or a toddler.”
Buck shushes him. “Hey, not so loud.” He bends forward so he can see around Tommy’s body, praying Branson didn’t hear that. Thankfully the boy appears to still be in his room. Tapping at Tommy’s hands, Buck turns in his hold once he loosens up and drapes his arms over Tommy’s shoulders. “Not that I’m disagreeing. Trust me, I’m feeling it, too.” He gives a little roll of his hips which makes Tommy jerk and grumble. “And it’s not like we can't, we just… Don’t. Branson is just… Prickly. And he’s clearly got beef with the LGBTQ community. I don’t want to push too far and make him decide that he doesn’t want to stay.”
“Evan, I get that but… I spent too many years hiding who I was. I don’t want to go back to that. And anyway, hiding ourselves isn’t going to be the best thing for him if we’re trying to rewrite seventeen years of learned behavior. I’m pretty sure he thinks that we’re going to…” He can’t even get the words out, his face crumpling into a look of utter disgust at the thought. Buck can’t help it. He kisses Tommy’s lips, drawing his attention back to him. “Right. So. I’m all for doing things the right way, but I don’t want to take it so far that we start ignoring our own needs.”
Sighing, Buck lets his head drop back and he groans dramatically. “You’re right.”
“As I usually am. Now give me some of that.” Tommy smirks and gives Buck’s ass a swat as he dances away from Buck’s swiping arms to grab a coffee cup. Buck just rolls his eyes. This isn’t an argument he can win so he just doesn’t bother. “So, what’s on the agenda for today?” Tommy asks, groaning as he takes the first sip of caffeinated bean water.
“I’m going over to Mad’s place for breakfast. Chimney is out on a day trip or something, so I said I’d come bake muffins with Jee and make pancakes.” Buck yawns and rubs at his eyes. He’s going to need that sugar soon or he’s going to crash out. “When do you have to leave for work?”
Tommy eyes the digital clock on the stove. “I’ve got about an hour.”
Bucks' responding grin is impish. Sliding back into Tommy’s orbit, he grabs the white strings hanging loose from the sweats waistband and looks up at his husband through fluttering lashes. “Mmmmmm. How about I borrow fifteen of those minutes?” A featherlight kiss follows the request.
The next thing Buck knows, he’s back in the bedroom with Tommy kicking the door shut behind them, and they’re both cackling like misbehaving school boys.
x-x-x
“So, how are things going? I can’t believe it’s been what, five weeks now?” Maddie asks cheerfully as she fills a second mug with coffee that she sets down on the counter next to the stove where Buck is finishing flipping pancakes. “Has Branson settled in? You haven’t even brought him to meet any of us yet.” Leaning her hip against the counter, she snags one of the fresh banana nut muffins still cooling on a wire rack and tears a piece off before popping it in her mouth. She does a happy wiggle and tears off another piece. “You know, the one good thing that came from the time that shall not be named was you becoming a master baker.”
Buck snorts and shakes his head, shoving his sister gently in the shoulder. “You make it sound like the breakup was a metaphor for Voldemort.”
“Was it not?” She asks innocently. “It was as villainous as he was.”
“You suck at metaphors, Mad’s.” He rolls his eyes as he flips the last chocolate chip pancake onto a plate already stacked high with them and shuts off the burner. The house smells like a bakery and his mouth waters. There’s both plain and chocolate chip muffins as well as raspberry lemon muffins with real raspberry, and fresh banana nut muffins. “And I haven’t brought him around yet because he doesn’t seem to want to. It’s like he’s just waiting for us to drop him back off at the group home without a word. Like you said, it’s been five weeks but he has yet to open to us. To either of us.”
Grabbing the two plates of hotcakes, he carefully maneuvers to the kitchen table as he calls, “Jee, Daniel! Breakfast is ready.” Seconds later, there’s the pounding of tiny footsteps and loud giggles as his niece and nephew barrel into the kitchen in their pajamas. Jee runs straight to him and latches herself onto his legs. She’s wearing a pair of absolutely adorable bright pink and purple unicorn pajamas. When she smiles, there’s a gap in her front teeth where her first two baby teeth have gone missing.
“Uncle Buck!” She lisps, intentionally wiggling her tongue between her teeth like a snake. “Gotchu.” She giggles, wrapping her tiny limbs around him even tighter.
Daniel toddles a little slower behind her, still somewhat unsteady on his feet. As he goes to pass Maddie, she swipes him up into her arms and proceeds to blow a raspberry against his cheek. He squeals and kicks in delight, yelling, “Momma!” His tiny white t-shirt with blue sleeves has a stegosaurus on it, head reaching to munch some leaves off of an invisible tree. His matching blue pajama pants have green ginkgo leaves fluttering all over them. He’s carrying a tiny red fire engine in one hand. Smiling softly down at her son, Maddie grabs one of his itty bitty fists and gives it a kiss. Daniel blinks dark brown eyes up at her, smile bright.
“And I. Got. You.” She punctuates each word with a kiss to a different place - his knuckles, the tip of his nose, and finally his forehead. He giggles and wriggles again until he begins to whine to be put down. Maddie, reluctantly, lets him go. Even years later she still struggles with the kidnapping and the reality that she could have quite easily lost her baby. Daniel is happy, healthy, and so very alive today, but Maddie will carry that trauma for the rest of her life.
Buck smiles softly at her but when she tilts her head at him in question, he just shakes his head, turning his attention back to Jee. Throwing his hands up he squawks, “Oh no! I’m caught! I guess that means that I can’t hand out these delicious pancakes I made. Mom is going to have to eat them all by herself since she can make her plate all by herself.”
“No!” The little girl squeals, shaking her head violently making the barretts at the bottom of his twin braids clack loudly together. She’s grinning at him but doesn’t let go. “Mommy can make Daniel’s plate. I’m big. I can do it myself.”
Buck looks down with a thoughtful frown. “Hmmm. I don’t know, Jee. You’re only four years old.” He cocks an eyebrow as if deeply concerned.
“She’s six!” Daniel cries, finally reaching the two of them, holding out his arms for Buck to pick him up. He does it without question, setting Daniel on his right hip, arm tucked under his butt to hold him steady. Daniel wraps his arms around Buck’s neck and squeezes, both as a way of greeting as well as clinging like the little lemur he is. “Right, momma? Sissy is six.” He holds out one hand like he plans to count but he doesn’t make it past three before he can’t count any higher. Buck laughs, chest feeling lighter than it has in… Weeks. He misses his sister and her kids. Of course he works with Chimney, so he doesn’t exactly have time to miss his brother-in-law, but he does feel a little heartsore at not seeing him in a more casual setting like this.
“Wow, no way. My little monkey can’t be six, already. It’s just not possible.” In one swift motion, keeping Daniel steady, Buck wrestles Jee into his other arm and begins peppering kisses to her face. She’s giggling madly, her feet swinging wildly as she attempts to keep his face away from hers.
“Uncle Buck, your beard hurts!” She cries, throwing her head back as she tries to get away.
He puts on a look of fake affront, brows drawn together and mouth hanging open. “Nuh-uh. Uncle Tommy loves my stubble so that can’t be true.”
“Unc’e Tommy is a, is a, isa liar!” Daniel says as he grabs a lock of Buck’s curls and pulls, trying to save his sister from the assault. So Buck turns on him and peppers him with kisses instead. “Unc’e Buck!” He squirms in earnest. Immediately Buck stops and gently sets him down. Seconds later Daniel’s hand slips into his and his wrist is being hugged.
“I’m going to tell Tommy that you called him a liar, Daniel. You’re going to hurt his feelings.” Buck boops Daniel’s nose with his pointer finger, still hanging very gently onto the tiny limb slipped into his hand.
Maddie watches from a few paces back with the softest smile. She’s got her arms under her chest and her head tilts ever so slightly to the side. She doesn’t say a word, just observes. Buck knows that she has hoped for him to have a family of his own ever since forever. She wants him to be given the chance to write a good childhood for a kid because he wasn’t given the chance to have a good one of his own. So she gives him every chance she has to play with her kids. He loves her for it more than he has the words to express. “Yes, I’m sure Tommy will be just devastated that a toddler called him out, especially when he wasn’t around to hear it and defend his honor. That being said, breakfast is getting cold and I don’t know about you guys, but cold, soggy pancakes aren’t in my top ten favorite kinds of food.”
Jee breaks free from Buck, sliding down his side and rushing to the table. “Mommy, I want chocolate chip ones. With whipped cream. And sprinkles.”
Daniel doesn’t let go but drags his uncle with him to the opposite side of the table and pushes him down. Once Buck is sitting, Daniel crawls into his lap. Buck wraps one arm around his waist to keep him from sliding off. “Unc’e Buck. I want chocolate.” He pleads, turning those doe eyes on Buck.
Buck smiles and says, “Sure thing kiddo. Mom cut up some fruit for us, so why don’t we have one chocolate chip pancake and then some of that, okay?”
“Okay!” He readily agrees, making grabby hands at the stacks of breakfast cake. “Can I have syrup, please?” He politely asks once Buck slides a single pancake onto the plate.
“Of course, Daniel.” He grabs the bottle of warmed syrup and helps Daniel drizzle it over his breakfast. Pulling it back, much to his nephew’s chagrin - Buck is positive he would drink the liquid straight if allowed - he uses the knife and fork at his side to cut it into bite sized pieces. He then piles a few sliced grapes and slices of melon onto what little space is left.
The rest of breakfast goes smoothly. Daniel and Jee split a banana nut muffin after they each finish their pancake before excusing themselves from the table and running back towards their room to play. Chuckling, Maddie and Buck clean up what’s left, putting the last few pancakes into ziplock bags and finding a container large enough for the eight or so muffins waiting to be consumed.
Finally the dishes are done and they settle themselves on the couch in the living room. There’s comfortable silence between them until Maddie breaks it and asks, “So, what’s really up?”
Sighing, Buck leans back into the couch and rubs at his eyes. “He’s… I don’t know how to describe him. There’s more to him than meets the eye, but he blocks me at every turn. Like, I know that he’s hurting. Every time Tommy or I do something he gets this calculating look in his eye like he expects something terrible to happen.”
“How do you mean?” Maddie curls her legs up to the side and rests an arm languidly across the back of the couch, fingertips just barely brushing his shoulder.
Eyes popping open, he stares blankly at the ceiling. “We got him a cellphone, right? That’s one of the things Emira suggested because foster kids that return to them, often have anything given to them at previous homes either taken away or they don’t have a means to pay for its continued usage. It’s almost 2030, Maddie. It’s a foregone conclusion that kids have a phone.”
“That’s fair. So what happened?”
Buck lets his head loll to the side. “He refused to take it with him for weeks so one day, Tommy and I got so concerned that we showed up at the school because he wasn’t answering any of his texts. We’re trying so hard to give him space, he’s almost an adult for Christ’s sake, but we’re still strangers to each other. Something could’ve happened to him, and he might not have thought to call us. He got pissed and threw a hissy fit about it, and you should’ve heard the things he said about gay men specifically, Maddie. I’m not even gay and I could hardly stomach the things he was saying. I felt offended for Tommy. Of course he just shook it off and made a joke about it.”
She strokes his shoulder. “That sounds like a tough situation. Maybe something happened to make him not trust older male figures.”
He shrugs, a bit listlessly. “I think he just grew up in a culture that paints any man who fucks men as the bad guys. I mean, Eddie grew up in Mexican culture, and I know that he still has some somewhat backwards views about things, but he fought tooth and nail to get out from under some of the more unsavory ideas that machismo culture perpetuates. Clearly, neither he nor his family has any issues with the queer community or he would’ve never survived at the 118. Not with Hen and Karen and eventually me.” Maddie nods in understanding. “And, correct me if I’m wrong, the drug trade isn’t known to be the most open minded group either, and his parents were in the heart of that. Whether they were selling it, or just partaking in it, he knew that environment before he hit daycare. He grew up watching drug dealers do their thing until he was thirteen.”
“I can’t even begin to imagine. I mean, we didn’t have the best childhood but we still grew up in middle of the road white suburbia.” Maddie sips at the cup of tea she made herself. “Our parents didn’t have enough in them to care who slept with whom.”
“That’s not even the worst of it. I know I shouldn’t complain, he’s got a lot of years of trauma under his belt, and I’m sure I didn’t act much better than he’s acting right when I was that age, but we’ve gotten multiple calls from the school about him skipping classes. I know he’s been smoking cigarettes and weed because his backpack reeks of the stuff. I’ve tried mentioning it but he just brushes me off. I wasn’t even going to yell at him about it.”
Maddie hums again. “Definitely a defense mechanism.”
Buck sits up and drops his elbows to his knees. “Then there’s the disappearing all night without telling us, not coming home until nearly midnight and acting like that’s normal. Or bringing home girls that he brings right to his room without saying anything.”
“Guys can have friends that are just girls.” Maddie reminds him.
He grumbles. “I know, Maddie, but I also remember what it was like being a boy at his age. I’d stick my dick in anyone that would let me and didn’t give two fucks about the consequences.”
Maddies snorts, nearly spilling her tea. “Thanks, bro, that’s an image I didn’t need.” He glares at her and she holds her hands out in deference, eyebrows raised in an alright arch. “All I’m saying is that whatever they’re doing could be innocent. You were a self diagnosed sex addict until Abby came along and swept you off your feet.” Buck groans and lets his head fall into his hands, scrubbing at his face until his skin feels raw. Silence hangs between them as they lose themselves in their thoughts. Eventually Maddie asks, “Are you regretting it? Taking him in?”
Buck shoots up straight and his head snaps around to look at her, “No. Not at all. Why would you even suggest that?”
She shrugs. “Because you’re stressing out so much. You seem to be struggling.”
This is one thing Buck knows with absolute certainty. “I don’t care how tough things get, Branson is ours. He’s meant to be part of our family, of my family. I just haven’t figured out how to get through his walls without breaking him, yet.” Deflating a bit, shoulders hunching in once again,  he murmurs, a little quieter and under his breath - like he doesn’t really want Maddie to hear -, “I wish Bobby was here so I could ask him. He…” His breath hitches. “He always knew what to do.
Maddie’s eyes mist over and she swipes at them. “Yeah, well, we’ll help you figure it out. All of us - Chim, Hen, Karen, Athena, Ravi, and Eddie. We’ve all got your back, okay. You can use any of us  as a sounding board when things get too tough for you and Tommy to go at alone.”
“You barely like Tommy.” Buck can’t help but quip. Sure, in the past Maddie was less than thrilled that Tommy had come back into his life, but she seems to be over that now and is their second biggest support. (Eddie taking first place by a landslide.)
She hits him again, huffing. “Low blow, Buck. I never didn’t like Tommy. I just didn’t like watching what him leaving did to you. Maybe I’ll rescind my offer to listen to you.”
Turning to her, Buck offers up a tremulous smile. “You’re my sister, Mad’s. You don’t have it in you not to listen.” Returning the grin she leans across the couch and wrangles him into a side hug that he falls easily into.
Kissing the top of his head and letting her fingers card through the mess at his nape she mutters, “Damn straight, Evan. No matter what happens, I’m always going to be here for you. And, hopefully, in the future, for Branson too. Now.” She kisses his head once more. “Let’s plan a way for you to get him over here so we can all meet him.” This brings a real grin to his face, the ache in his heart still present, but quieter. With his sister and fire family in his corner, things would turn out just fine. He has to believe in that or he’ll crumble.

I was thinking about how March is kind of a cool month while taking a shower and ended up developing a full ranking of each month from the perspective of the mid atlantic US, this ranking is based on my values which are food good, light good, nature neat:
From best to worst!
August: objectively the best food month for where I live. All the food of high summer is at its best and I eat like a king. Cicadas sing in the day. Katydids rock me to sleep.
September: almost as good as August, but has less light. The beginning of autumn food mixing with the high summer food, the first of the wool festivals in the area. Very good.
June: this is the time of year in my area when you can get 5-6 varieties of berries, all fresh, all delicious. I usually go berry picking in this month and almost die from heat, but I fill my freezer with perfect black raspberries. Has the most sun, what a great month.
October: A fantastic month. The only part of fall that is good. Some of the best outdoor activities, resulting in weekend after weekend of going outside and just smelling the amazing air. Just starting to cool down, but not that dark yet. The last month of true happiness in the year before The Dark.
July: almost as good as August and June, but missing some of the uniqueness. Usually when the fireflies really pop off though, so that rules.
March: a month where you finally start seeing some relief. Snowdrops bloom, woodcocks make their meep noise, salamanders and frogs emerge. Everything wakes up, the equinox happens, and finally, finally, it feels like winter is dead.
May: pretty good month for my growing region! This is when the farmers markets come back and the vegetables start to diversify. This is when I usually get to plant my starter plants and start hanging out on my porch with my parrots.
April: only this far down because others are better. This is when the birds start to come back and some of my favorite trees bloom. It sadly is also when some of my least favorite plants bloom, like the bradford pear. Usually just a point where I am ready to move on to May.
November: garbage month. Everything is dead, all the birds are gone, the farmers markets are closing. November is when the world starts to hibernate, except we don't get to hibernate, we have to keep going to work and making money. Thanksgiving is barely a holiday. Daylight savings time ends. Just bad times.
February: this is the month where the light starts to return, which is why it ranks this high, otherwise it would be tied with December. This is the part where I start looking at the calendar and counting how many weeks until the sun sets after 5:30pm, 6pm, etc. Hanging on by a thread but there is Hope.
December: the darkest. I rarely get off work before it is fully night. I am not religious, so the holidays do not do much for me, but it ranks above January because at least my work slows down and people take time off. Truly, just a bad time all around.
January: the Fucking Worst. Even having my birthday in it cannot save this month. Still dark, colder than the month before it, still so far from the equinox. People get really annoying about Eating Clean and Dry January and all you can do is find a blanket and try to get through it.

Wife Is Life
PART 3 of Fish-wife or No wife
Summary: Did Jungkook have a wife? The rumor mill had been churning for years, divided on this one topic. He was a successful worldwide pop star who was always seen with a different lady on his arm, as he flitted from country to country enjoying his prolific career. The reason for the lingering suspicion was a cryptic social media post showing a picture of 2 kids who shared the same exact eyes and smile as him. So in fact, if he truly did have a wife, who was she? And why had the public never seen her? Perhaps she didn't wish to be seen.
Description : famous pop-star/idol jungkook x chubby y/n , might be two-shot or trilogy
Disclaimer: The character of Jungkook shown in this fanfic does not accurately represent Jungkook's true personality or actions. Please treat this story as fiction.
Sorry for the little to no proofreading, have a lot more works lined up to post
Will have more drabbles of this couple lined up though this is the last official part.
It was 7 PM when I was startled awake by loud snoring. Damn, the man snored like a hibernating bear. I can't believe I let him touch my body. I should not have done that. Mentally reprimanding myself for poor decision making (though I truly did have little decision in the matter), I pried myself from his hold and went to take a quick shower. After a refreshing shower consisting of washing out all the cum he had pumped into me, I walked to the kitchen to see Mrs. Jeon reading a book on the couch.
"Hello auntie, how is your book so far?", I timidly asked. She smiled real wide as she saw me, pulling my hand to sit next to her, "Going well dear. Have been wanting to read it for ages but never got around to it till now". I nodded with a small smile on my face. "Auntie, I will be going out to briefly check up on the house in this neighborhood. It is just a quick 5 minute walk. Can you just take care of the kids in case they get up in between"?
Mrs. Jeon quirked her eyebrow slightly up, quietly whispering," Do you not trust them with Jungkook?" I smiled at her in a perfunctory manner, feeling a little soulless, "I honestly am not sure. He seems to only be interested in them for the time being. I don't think I can count on him to be a true father since he has not shown up for either of them consistently. I will be getting everything ready to shift into the linden house tomorrow morning". I sighed, feeling weary all of a sudden staring into Mrs. Jeon's eyes with resignation and acceptance, "I knew this marriage was a farce from the very beginning, so I never expected anything from him. I just hoped that he would visit the kids regularly. That was honestly it. You see Mrs. Jeon, ours is not a typical marriage. We just fulfilled each of our needs at the time. He found me, to take care of Iro. And I took his help to gain financial stability and have children that I could call my own".
She pensively stared back at me, with a sadness reflected in her eyes, face frowning slightly. I smiled in a reassuring manner and pivoted to grab my phone and wallet, walking out of the house to briefly check up on how ready it was. After seeing the house in perfect condition since my brief visit last month, I did some cursory cleaning so the kids and I wouldn't suffer allergies. It was a two story house with 5 massive bedrooms, a gym room, cute well equipped kitchen, and beautiful views of trees through all the windows. Imagine a house that looked like a winter wonderland, waiting for Christmas to blanket it; enveloped by berry, maple, and fir trees.
Walking back into the Jeon's house, Mr. Jeon opened the door for me with a soft smile. And to my distinct surprise, I saw Jungkook feeding or shall I say, attempting to feed Mari and Iro some pumpkin pudding that Mrs. Jeon had made. I walked in silently, and patted him on the shoulder , "Thanks for helping feed them. Both of them sleep early, so it is truly perfect that you are feeding them right now". He stared at me as if he were deciphering the contents of my soul, even as Mari jabbed her tiny finger (honestly resembling a claw at this point) into his sturdy chest. "Of course Y/N, it really is no big deal". I ate a light dinner , a bowl of lamb and potato stew with udon noodles.
Grabbing the kids from my Jungkook, I walked back to the bedroom. The kids easily fell asleep as they usually tend to once they are fed. Brushing and getting ready for bed in some shorts and a tank top, I slipped beneath the covers ready to doze off. Before I knew it , I had drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to Jungkook's heavily muscled arm wrapped around my waist, and his legs trapped between mine. His head was laid up on my left breast and I could feel his breathing on my nipple. Arousal was starting to pool in my underwear and my left nipple stiffened with the warm air of his breath flooding it. To make matters worse, his groin was rubbing against my wet core. I gasped as the small pleasure started to build in my core.
I had to get out of his grasp no matter what. I carefully detached myself from him. He had the notion that he could seamlessly slip into my life when our arrangement never included physical love. Even if he became a proper dad to the kids, I was not letting him fuck with me. The man showed how irresponsible and inconsistent he was. Actions speak louder than words. I quickly wrapped my hair into a bun, brushed, splashed my face with water, and changed into a blue cotton sundress.
I hadn't unpacked much at all, so I shoved whatever was out back into the two suitcases I had brought. Grabbing Mari as she slept, I gently woke up Iro and cleaned his face. Thank god Iro was a quiet child. We slipped out the bedroom with the suitcases and saw Mr. and Mrs. Jeon making breakfast.
I grinned, "Good morning auntie and uncle, just going to shift over to the linden house. I will feed the kids breakfast and we will go over there. You guys should come over for lunch, I will have a whole gourmet selection ready for you ". They laughed at my demand. After getting Iro to eat something and shoveling down some oatmeal myself, I packed some food for Mari and drove over to the linden house with the luggage.
Mari got up in between and I bathed both the kids as soon as we walked in. I let out a huge breath in relief, finally I would have my own breathing space. Mr. and Mrs. Jeon were lovely, but I did not want to constantly be around Jungkook. He had taken yesterday's advances, as a way to weasel into my bed. I started working on making shrimp stew, rice, fried omelettes, tonkatsu and some curry.
I was used to cooking since I was 16. It was a therapeutic activity for me. Finishing in a record time of 2.5 hrs, I took a quick shower myself and called Mrs. Jeon over. I didn't know that a hectic hodgepodge of erratic events were happening in the Jeon house in between.
Mrs. Jeon wacked Jungkook with a broom handle, "Get UP YOU LAZY BOY!!!!! GET UP!!! GET UP!!! Go get yourself cleaned up and read for lunch. You have a wife and kids to get back". She sneered , menacingly at him as slowly got up in a confused state, doe eyes wide open, puzzled by what his mother meant. "What do you mean mom? Aren't Y/N and the kids at home. Where would they have gone?"
Mrs. Jeon shook her head in disappointment, a frown on her face, lips pinched in irritation, "Your Y/N is a very independent, reliable girl. She bought the linden house before coming here and she moved into it with the kids this morning itself. She invited your father and I over for lunch. Clearly she wants to keep family bonds, but you are a miserable father and husband. If you didn't want to be a good husband, you could've at least been a good father. But no, you chose to fail on both counts". Ceaselessly shaking her head, she walked away before yelling, "YOU BETTER GET YOUR RANK ASS SHOWERED AND READY FOR LUNCH. SHE DIDN'T INVITE YOU FYI, BUT YOU ARE GOING ANYWAY, WE ARE NOT MAKING LUNCH AT HOME"!
With those biting remarks, Mrs. Jeon left Jungkook alone with his dismal thoughts. His wife had clearly not accepted him back, even as a father to the kids. He scoffed , of course she wouldn't. He had been such a horrible dad, not seeing his kids as they were growing up. Even when he was told that Mari was born by her sister Wei, he wasn't bothered at the time. He almost wanted to sit there crying the rest of the day, remembering her cute toothless little chubby face.
He showered rapidly, running to the door as his parents planned on walking over with a basket of red bean filled pastries. Y/N opened the door in a light pastel yellow dress littered with a pattern of violets, and simple diamond studs. She was classic, a beauty , and she was the moment. Her curled hair cascaded down her backless sundress. Jungkook swore his mother slightly gasped when she first saw Y/N. As soon as Y/N saw Jungkook, her beaming smile faded into an indifferent nod. He hated that he had made her that way.
She pushed his parents toward the massive oak table with a beautiful view of the garden. The entire house was filled with paintings of forests and gardens, with a small collection of creepers winding around the staircase leading up stairs. The views were also ridiculously impressive, with trees looking close to a hundred years old shading the entire house, yet still allowing sunlight in. Jungkook could tell this property was super expensive, more so than the one he had bought just from the interiors and the 3 acre garden encompassing the entire circumference of the house.
Y/N had made bank, and she might not need him anymore. He started perspiring , beads of sweat lining his forehead as he frantically thought of how easy it would be for her to delete him from her life. She was emotionally stable, mentally strong, had his parents on her side, and financially rock solid. She could easily marry a more reliable, doting husband and leave him out of the picture.
Not able to control his panic, Jungkook was barely able to eat a spoon of the stew before he excused himself with a trembling voice, "I need to use the bathroom, one minute". He booked it to the bathroom, not even able to take his eyes from the ostentatiously furnished restroom complete with a settee and potpourri. Since when were bathrooms so big that they contained sofas and potpourri?!!
Y/N was confused at his abrupt exit from the dining table. It had been five minutes since Jungkook had stumbled away in a hurry. Y/N decided she would check on him in case he needed anything. "Give me one minute auntie and uncle, let me just check on Jungkook". They nodded , consumed in eating their food and feeding the kids. Y/N walked over to the bathroom and rapped on the door, "You ok there Jungkook? Need any help finding toiletries"?
Before she could take in another breath, the door opened with a frantic Jungkook who was shirtless, pants loose. An extremely defined arm grabbed her around her waist and whisked her inside the bathroom before she could even yell. Hitting on his tan glistening chest, Y/N sharply demanded "What the hell are you doing? Let me go. What is your damn problem? Did nobody teach you manners growing up?"
Jungkook grimaced, seating Y/N on his lap, her dress shoved up all the way to her waist, chest heaving, hair in disarray, " No Y/N nobody did. That is why I cannot resist you and am driven to utter distraction by you. Ever since I saw you at the door with Mari in your arms, I have been spellbound by you. You are an enchanting, gorgeous woman and I should've seen that earlier. I used to hate on you and shame you for your body to my Hyungs. But the minute I felt you in my arms, and saw you with my babies, I wanted to kill myself for my senseless and false words".
Even as I continued beating on his chest to release me, angered by him body shaming me in the past, he fixed me to his lap, restraining my arms making me grind on his lap, his hips guiding me into a blinding rhythm. I bit out with sheer venom, "Then why don't you divorce me and marry a model instead? I don't need your money anymore, and we can share custody of the kids. If seeing my body disgusts you, there is no point continuing this". Hearing those words broke Jungkook, how could he leave this beautiful caring woman alone for some vapid shallow model? Was she so stupid that she couldn't understand how much she meant to him?
Clearly he had never verbalized enough how much she drove him nuts. When Jungkook was in a depression after breaking up with the Spanish model and having Iro at his doorstep, Y/N had swooped in to the save day. Seeing her treat Iro as if he were her own son for two years had made him love Y/n so much. He had just never wanted to get close to her and get hurt. He knew in his soul that if anyone would break him, it would be Y/N. When he married Y/N, he never even touched a woman after that. He would have escorts who he would take to galas and work parties, the tabloids going nuts at his hired companions.
Finally having Y/N in his arms, he couldn't hold back anymore. Tears streaming down his face, he undid Y/N's dress zipper throwing it over her head. Y/N couldn't even fight back against his skilled quick movements. Making too much noise would alert his parents and her kids. He desperately shoved his face wet with tears between her breasts. His calloused hands squeezed the perfect globes of her butt, getting her to slowly grind on his cock.
Y/N couldn't hold back as the sensations overtook her. She moaned quietly as she could feel Jungkook kneading at her waist as his tongue traced her collarbones, littering tiny bits all over them. Y/N attempted refusing, putting hands on his shoulders to push him away, "No Jungkook we can't do this. I don't know how many women you have been with". Jungkook warbled back , "No Y/N, you are the only one since I have married you. I tried avoiding you, but seeing the kids and you have made that impossible. I was a horrible father and husband but I will make it up to you and the kids no matter what".
Not able to control himself, Jungkook came in his pants with Y/N heavily panting on top of his lap ,completely naked. He stared at his wife, amazed at her beauty. He would never leave her or the kids again. Y/N retorted back with a quirk of her lips, eyes shining with promise and mischief, "So is that it? That was all you had for me after so many years"?
Jungkook growled back , black eyes shining into hers, mouth smirking, grabbing her hair in his hand to bring her face closer to his, "Of course not my darling", kissing her in the mouth thrusting his tongue into hers, "This is just the beginning".

Rain.
It poured like the gods were shedding tears of a lost one. Maybe Marija felt your pain and now you were sitting on the roof letting the droplets cling onto you. So many questions raced through your mind but you couldn’t pinpoint one to start. Sighing, you ran your fingers through your hair looking at the sky when a presence was felt next to you.
“I can’t do it.” You whispered now letting the droplets mask your tears.
“And we are not forcing you too.” Bora spoke, placing a hand onto your shoulder. Shaking your head, you looked up at the sky hoping you could find some answers.
“But if you do not turn her then we will all perish. Not only us, but your family, friends…” Bora whispered looking towards the window to see Wednesday making her way towards you two, “and her.” she finished giving you a reassuring squeeze. She stood to her feet walking back to the window but not without sending Wednesday a nod. Once Bora was no longer in sight, Wednesday took a seat next to you watching the campus.
“I am sorry.” Wednesday's eyes moved to your slouched state taking in your pain. She knew you were at war in your head. She read about turning a human and it was not pretty. Even if it meant death then a start of eternal life seemed beautifully insane, but the pain the other feels for a few hours is excruciating. You knew what you would have to go through but the thought of keeping her by your side for the rest of your immortal life as you watched her family fade away did not seem like the right way. Her mind drifted along with yours.
“What I feel for you, is a feeling I cannot describe in words. I want to see the world through your eyes as yours mine. A void was felt in my soul once I entered my late teenage years and it is not the void I enjoyed getting lost in. The moment I found you…everything felt clear- as if you were the clue to solve a murder no one else could find. You are the death I will chase to the end of time to feel all over again. If it means taking my mortal life to spend eternity with you….” She stopped cupping your face for you to look at her. She could see the veins pulsating under your eyes from the adrenaline that coursed through you.
“Then take my life for yours to own.”
Your eyes search for any hesitance but all you saw was acceptance. You knew of the Addams growing up and safe to say the least, Wednesday's father would rather it be you than that barista boy. You nodded softly, leaning in, placing your lips against hers.
You and Wednesday were back in the house changing when a knock was heard from your door. Throwing on a shirt, you glanced at the bathroom door to hear the water still running. Turning the knob, you opened the door that revealed Marija. She sent you a small smile rocking on her heels.
“How are you feeling?” Marija asked, taking a step back. You walked out the room shutting the bedroom door behind you, slightly nodding.
“Feeling a little lightheaded with everything going on.” You answered by adjusting your bracelet. The girl in front of you hummed, taking a few steps towards the staircase. You followed behind her heading down to the dinning table to meet the rest of the OB. Raina looked up, sending you a small smile while the rest of the group sorted out the blood bags in front of them.
“I see you all are going to feast pretty good tonight huh,” You attempted to joke when D snorted, bumping her shoulder into Alek. The man chuckled shaking his head,
“Oh this isn’t for us.” He snickered. Furrowing your eyebrows, you looked at Bora for an answer when all she did was smile. You counted the bags then sent them a look-
“It's for Wednesday.”
Your eyes widen looking at the countless bags that from just a rough guess was maybe twenty bags. You huffed leaning forward onto the dining table going over the stories your parents told you about this ceremony.
“So there are two ceremonies right?” You spoke as the OB sent you a nod, Raina placed her chin on her palms sending you a smirk. Bora leaned back fixing her necklace,
“Yes, there is the ceremony in the books about the venom retrieval from the soulless. we transfer the venom to the mortal/mate and we wait for them to go through the turning then-” “Woah woah, so I have to watch her…” You interrupted but the lump in your throat stopped you. Bora nodded. You don't think you could sit there and watch the woman you grew to feel for die. Bora continued as you ran your fingers through your hair.
“Once the venom runs its course we will have to place her under seclusion supervision until she is ready to feed.” Bora finished. You knew why she needed to be placed alone. She will be feral and not only that…she is going to kill you. Raina sighed, shaking her head.
“Or you can do the other ceremony.” Raina suggested, a groan slipped your mouth as Alek snickered. “It’s less painful…She wont know she passed due to the state she is in.” Raina finished. You knew what she meant but were you even that far with her to even try that? “Then during the process you both can exchange.”
“Exchange?” You shot her a look when D places a kiss against Raina's temple, D sent you a fanged smile.
“A blood exchange. It actually makes you both stronger. More connected too.” D mentioned, your eyes widen once more at the new information you now encountered. You scoffed, “How come this is not mentioned in the books?” You asked about placing your weight on one leg when you heard the water coming to a halt upstairs. Bora hummed leaning forward,
“Every book that has been written has been read and passed by The Council. They let you know what they want.” Bora spoke, visions flashed throughout your eyes when you heard the shower door open. Oh god, you cannot be thinking about her like that right now.
“Maybe you girls can talk to Wednesday about this while we take Drac here on the hunt with us.” D suggested when Alek quickly stood up sending a tight lip smile to the girls. You looked between Raina and Bora when they both nodded but Bora stood extending her hand to the med-room.
“We can, but I need to run your venom levels to make sure you are good enough to at least keep up.” You nodded at her request sending everyone a nod following Bora into the Med-room. Before you entered, Wednesday was walking down the stairs towards Raina who called out for her. She grabbed your bicep staring into your eyes.
“How are you feeling?” She whispered, you smiled, sending a glance towards the room. “I am about to find out so I can go hunt with Alek and D.” Her hand ran down your arm giving you a reassuring squeeze and a nod. You kept your gaze into her eyes when a familiar feeling engulfed the pit of your stomach. You cleared your throat when you heard Raina's voice in your head along with a very childish remark from Alek.
If you are trying to get to business please take it to the room! -Raina
That's if they can make it to the room… -Alek
Moving your eyes from Wednesday, she let go and proceeded to make her way to the dining area with everyone greeting her with a lot of positive smiles. Poor Wednesday. You walked into the Med-Room taking a seat letting Bora start her work.
“I am assuming you are the medic.” You spoke, she nodded, inserting the needle into your pure vein. She kept her eyes glued to the screen answering- “Had no choice, most of the OBs were injured when I found them. Plus, I was the doctor's daughter in our tribe.” You hummed, you haven't felt any real pain in a while. You thought back to when you had fought James before your suspension, and your ascension, and all this ‘the council is coming.’ Bora snorted softly at the visions that danced in your brain,
“You left that poor boy bleeding.” She chuckled, slightly yanking out the needle disposing it into the bin. You hummed letting a smile paint your face, “I mean, I had every right. He used to pick on me when my brother passed.” She nodded, handing you a jacket which you placed on.
“Everything seems fine, Raina and Marija will make you a cocktail while you are out. In the meantime, let off some steam.” Bora spoke as you walked behind her out into the dinning room. Alek and D came from out the kitchen handing you a rope which you sent them a nod.
“We should get going; the sun is setting.” D spoke, placing a kiss against Raina's forehead. You glanced at Alek who was staring behind you. Turning, you saw Marija sending you a small smile,
“I just wanted to wish you luck on the hunt. Normally when D and Alek go…” Marija’s voice faded into the back of your mind when a burning feeling fell into the pit of your stomach. It felt…uncomfortable. It was as if the world slowed, you turned your head to see Wednesday giving you the deepest glare. “...but I know you are gonna do great.” Marjia’s voice boomed back when you blinked to see her in front of you again. You nodded, sending her a smile.
“Thank you Marija,”  You mumbled walking to the dining table standing next to Wednesday. “I guess we better get going.” You spoke aloud as everyone who was staying bid their goodbyes. You began your way out the room when a hand wrapped around your wrist yanking you back. Spinning on your heels, lips clashed against yours. A hint of vanilla that engulfed your buds automatically sending your hand to her waist. You pulled away placing your forehead against hers,
“Don’t be gone for too long. We need to talk when you get back.” Wednesday mumbled, stealing a chaste kiss and walking back to her seat. You stood there frozen at the sudden PDA the girl exposed to the team. Wednesday talked to Raina as if she didn’t just claim what was hers seconds ago.
“Alright lovestruck, let's get going.” D sang out grabbing a fist full of your shirt yanking you out the dining area. Alek fell into a pit of giggles at the bottom of the patio, you sent him the finger vaulting over the railing landing in front of him.
“What's the rope for again?” You asked Alek when he grabbed the item from your hand, tying it around your waist and tossing it to D who did the same. D snickered, tossing it towards him as he tied a knot, sending you a fanged smile.
“To make sure we don’t leave you in the dust.” He spoke taking a few hops in his place then sent a nod to D when a gust of wind almost swept you off your feet. The two took off as you tried your best to keep up. Now that was what the rope was for.
After what seemed like a few minutes, the three of you stood at the top of the mountain eyeing the lake beneath you. D undid the rope around your waist patting your back.
“Since there are more heads now, we can't aim for deer. We need something bigger.” Alek spoke, taking a few steps towards the ledge inhaling deeply. D leaned against the tree playing with the straps on their backpack. You hummed inhaling when a huge wave of scents engulfed your nose.
“You smell it huh, the blood rushing through their veins.” D whispered, now standing next to you. You nodded with your eyes shut trying your best to pinpoint a smell to follow. Your eyes burst open as your feet acted upon themselves sending you to grip the tree climbing. Alek and D exchanged looks following your suit. You scanned the area when the smell of death hit your nose. You jumped down dusting off your jeans.
“Wounded animal down by the lake,” You thought out loud as the two nodded. Alek looked back over the edge taking another whiff when he leaned back huffing, “Yeah. It’s wounded. Probably hunted about a few hours ago.” He confirmed. D hummed, chiming in, “So if it's wounded, there are predators around meaning-” D looked your way to see the veins under your eyes visible.
“We got dinner.” You spoke taking a leap off the edge. Alek blurred to the edge growling softly. “There is no way they just-” D patted his back taking a few steps back. “They did.” and with that D blurred forward jumping off the edge following you. Alek groaned, joining the two of you.
You stopped in the woods crouching behind the log looking over to see the wounded animal. D appeared next to you,
“That is a very big elk.” You nodded at D’s comment, taking a step towards the animal when a noise caught your attention.
“Damn bear spray doesn't do us no justice out here.”
“Perry, could we just dump the body and go? This place is giving me the creeps.”
Your eyes snapped to the path that displayed two men with their hands full with what you presumed was a body. You glanced at D who was now tapping Alek. They nodded, taking a few steps forward, covering behind another tree.
“There was more you smelled besides the elk.” - D.
“We need to get out of here.” - Alek.
You shook your head when your fangs slashed out and the hunger you didn't feel before clawed its way to your throat. The need to drain the two men dry was damn near uncontrollable but the sound of running sent you blurring to the pair. Alek and D were quick to chase after you, but the roar caused everything to go black. Screaming, crying, growling and crunching was heard but you couldn't bring yourself to snap back. A groan slipped your lips when you blinked away the darkness to find yourself under a big pile of what seemed to be fur. Your name was being called but the weight above you was hard to respond.
“Drac!... Damit Drac, are you okay?” Alek hissed out, you groaned a little louder which caused the weight to lift off you. Coughing, you rolled over spitting out the blood that pooled your mouth. Alek and D stood over you with childish smiles,
“You just had to go and show off on your first hunt huh?” D jokes, pulling you onto your feet dusting off the dirt on your clothes. Alek said something childish planting a tube into the now dead bear.
“Man, We’re gonna have a good feast tonight. Great job Newbie.” Alek said watching the tube flow with blood transfering into the concealed bag. It looked like a huge blood bag. Some would assume it's a huge pitcher people put lemonade in but in your circumstances…
“Alek! Don't waste any!” D hissed slapping his arm. Alek chucked pulling the tub out the bag drinking a bit. A satisfied hum slipped his mouth handing the tube to D to drink. You watched them drink from the animal as you felt your mouth pool with saliva. D handed you the tube which you quickly shoved the tube into your mouth drinking away. A moan slipped your mouth in which Alek patted D’s shoulder causing them to snicker,
“Alright, save some for the OB.” Alek spoke, you pulled the tube out your mouth looking around- “where are the hunters?” asking the pair, they shook their heads pointing into the woods.
“While you were giving the bear a challenge, We blurred me to safety. I used my gift to leave them a bit under the influence.” D spoke digging their hand into the bear's mouth yanking out a tooth tossing it your way.
“A souvenir” You nodded their way accepting the ‘gift’. A sound of a bee zoomed past your ear when you turned to look at D.
“Did you hear that?” Alek tackled you into the ground shielding his body over yours. D grabbed the bag blurring off. The man above you grunted, interlocking his arm around yours zooming across the forest. After a few minutes of running for dear life, Alek let go of your arm but didn’t stop. A loud crash rang through the backyard when you lifted your head from the pile of leftover construction material.
“Are you serious right now? A warning would have been nice.” You sarcastically hummed out dusting off the concrete powder that now painted your clothes. D appeared next to you inspecting your body rather roughly. You grabbed their hands sending a look,
“I’m okay! D, I’m good.” D took a step releasing a breath leaning forward. You patted their shoulder turning to see Alek marching into the house. The door slammed open hitting the side of the fridge as he dropped the bag onto the dining table.
“We were attacked. Hunters.” He grumbled dropping into a free seat, eyes boring into Boras. The woman huffed standing to her feet looking for you. On que, D walked into the house with you trailing behind. Wednesday sped off her seat ramming into you. Wrapping her into your embrace, your eyes landed on Bora handing you a cup.
“Drink. We need to decide now. Not only are The council after you; hunters caught wind too.” Bora spoke. You placed the cups to your lips letting the blood pool in your mouth. A sigh slipped your lips as your hold on Wednesday tightened. You shook your head leaning back locking eyes with Wednesday.
“They have communicated with me about the ceremony. Shall we talk upstairs?” She whispered and you nodded, placing the cup down following Wednesday, leaving the OB to figure out what is going to happen.
Once you were in the room, you shut the door behind you, locking it. You watched Wednesday's movements when she took a seat on the windowpane. Her heartbeat drummed in your ears. The rhythm reminded you about the movies you and Jaime used to watch that would fill your bodies with excitement on what would happen next.
“However you wish to proceed with the ceremony, I am in.” She started. You nodded leaning against the wall, “but you and I both know that to speed up this process we will need to-” You lifted your hand stopping her. “I know, it’s just I-” You stopped when your throat felt dry, a cough dashed out your mouth causing you to hunch over. Wednesday stood from her position taking a step towards you.
“What is wrong?” She whispered, pain rushed from your side as you released a grunt.
“Somethings not right.” You whispered scanning the room but everything slowed when an object pierced your shoulder sending you into the ground. Glass broke from the window but the black spots that clouded your vision did you no good when arms were wrapped Wednesday. A loud bang rang throughout the room when a blurred shadow was quick to grab the masked intruder before they blurred out the window. Your body was lifted from the ground but everything was silent when you saw the look on Boras face.
“No..”
Bora's hands were over her mouth, Raina's eyes filled with tears, D vaulted over the balcony railing towards Alek who was already in the field and Marija’s gasp caused you to struggle against her hold. The rain stopped. The wind stopped. Your dead heart…stopped. You wiggled out of Marijas hold blurring to the field to see the woman you grew to- oh…you loved her.
“Wednesday?” You whispered to her but you heard nothing. You didn’t hear her heart in your ears. Her breathing used to be your sound to remind yourself that you were alive. Alive with a purpose on this planet even if you knew you were dead. Your hand went under her head bringing her close to your chest whispering,
“Wednesday, wake up.” Pleading, you placed your nose into her hair inhaling her vanilla scent to distract you from releasing the sob that clawed at your throat. Warmth was felt near your side when you moved your gaze to see a dagger pierced into her side. Red began to seep through her clothes onto yours. The smell of the blood did not faze you, the pain you felt now overpowered the hunger but the anger that now bubbled in the pit of your stomach caused the animals in the forest to cry. The birds began to swarm the sky when the clouds grew dark. The horrid sound of the elks cries when the trees begin to aggressively sway. Your fangs slashed out your gums as you leaned into her neck whispering,
“I’m sorry.”
Piercing your fangs into her vein, you began to drink. Her blood pooled your mouth; still warm. Your arms pulled her closer when the tears you shed dropped against her. Her blood was sweet. Her blood was water in the desert and you couldn't bring yourself to stop but the ache in your bones caused you to pull back placing a kiss onto her forehead. You placed another onto her cheek, then the other, then leaned back taking one last look at the girl beneath you. Latching back into her neck you released your venom into her vein.
D took a step back clutching their shirt; eyes turning white, grabbing Alek’s attention. Alek took a step towards them but a cough made its way out his mouth. Fire shot out his mouth at an unstoppable speed erupting the construction material next to him in flames. Boras' gaze turned to the two, noticing the uncontrollable grasp they had on their gift. All the OBs were now on the field with uncomfortable feelings in their chest. Marija huffed losing her footing,
“They are absorbing all of our gifts at once… this can’t be right.” Bora whispered when her hand twitched. Her body ached, screaming at the bones in her body confused on what to shift into. She could ignore the pain, but seeing tears fall from Sophie's eyes; she knew you had to be stopped before it was too late. You were going to kill yourself.
“I can feel the blood boiling in my veins.” Raina leaned towards Bora's ear whispering. Bora nodded, taking a step forward but once you laid Wednesday back onto the ground, everything stopped.
Your fingers wrapped around the dagger, yanking it out of her abdomen. Standing to your feet, everyone could not only feel your pain, but they feared the way they could also feel the anger that radiated off your skin. Tilting your head back, the sky grew dark. You twirled the tip of the dagger on your index finger turning to the OB. Your eyes were black as night. The veins could be seen under your eyes and your fangs were exposed. You took a deep inhale through your nose letting a sinister smile paint your face.
“Come out, I can smell the guilt in your blood!” You shouted, taking a few steps back. The OB was now standing side by side watching this new side of you. Alucard was now watching from the rooftop with a smirk playing on his lips as Rein blurred next to Bora.
“I do not think it is safe for us to stop Dracula.” Rein spoke to the woman who had her eyes glued on you. She nodded, “I think we will engage when the time is right.” She responded.
A shadow appeared in the trees becoming clearer and clearer till Rein gasped at the shadow that was now sending you a fanged smile. Rein took a few steps back then blurred away. The entire OB was now standing there wide-eyed with the new information you were replaying in your head.
“Oh trust me, this isn’t guilt.”
Your fangs were bare. Venom dripped. You were beyond angry. You were livid.
“I am going to rip you to fucking shreds Xavier.” You growled out blurring towards him. He held a fanged smile opening his arms wide letting you take him down into the trees. You placed your hands around his neck but the look on his face only made you see red. He was smiling.
“Killing me won’t change the fact that you can’t save her,” he laughed out. You yelled, tossing him back onto the field. He laid motionless but still had that smile on his face. You were walking towards the boy, the loud voices of the OB were screaming in your head to stop but one stood out.
“To be feared is better to be than to be loved.”
Flicking your hand that was to your side caused a ball of fire to appear in your palm. Alek shook his head taking a step but Bora's hand on his chest stopped him. Using your free hand, you grabbed a dagger that was being held by your belt loop. Xavier manically laughed shaking his head,
“You don’t have it in you to kill your best friend.” You shook your head tossing the dagger to the side watching Xavier stand to his feet but a choked sob slipped his mouth when your hand went to the side of his neck.
“You aren’t my best friend…” You whispered. Xaviers head tilted to the side but when your head turned towards the other side of the field there stood Rein with Xavier by his side; his eyes widened.
“You. Are. The. Council-” With every word you said, your fingers sank deeper and deeper into his neck. The boy fell to his knees with his eyes boring into yours. Your fingers could feel the bone of the man's neck but he was still alive..you just needed one more thing.
“And I am going to kill every last one of them.” You gritted out, his mouth fell agape once your fingers wrapped around his bone shoving the ball of fire down his throat, watching the pit of fire run down into abdomen. A sinister smile painted your face when you yanked your hand back letting his blood splatter across your face. A gruesome thud echoed through the tall trees while you watched the man burn away but not without transforming back to his original form.
Taking a few steps back, you sent a look towards Sophie as she sent you a slow nod. She blurred to Wednesday, placing her in her arms, blurring into the house. You looked back at Rein mouthing a ‘go’ which without a thought, he grabbed Xavier and blurred away to Nevermore.
“The Councils here.” You spoke, the OBs nodded, getting ready but a person with a red hooded robe appeared walking out the forest. They stopped a few meters away, you kept your eyes glued on the lower half of their face since it was the only thing you could see due to the hood over their head.
“I have a message for the Ascendant.” He spoke out, you kept your eyes peeled but from the looks of it… he was alone. You sent him a nod watching him grab a pouch from inside his robe tossing it your way. You caught the small bag, cautiously opening it letting the objects inside fall onto the ground. The entire OB gasped. They rings each council member. The rings of Thee.
“The Council is dead.” The hooded figure spoke aloud, you huffed shaking your head. No…they can’t be. How?
“I was sent to let the Ascendant know…to surrender to the new Lord of Thee.”
You scoffed, shaking your head at the man. Bora looked at the others to see the same expression on each of their faces. Shocked.
“And what will happen if I don’t surrender?” You asked with your head tilted to the side. If it meant killing this new Lord? So be it. The man grabbed the sides of his hood, lifting it off his head. His eyes glowed letting you shield your own with your arm but the bright light blinded everyone around but the man that watched above. Alucard blurred to your postion grabbing a fist full of your shirt but a grunt fell out his mouth. He looked down at his side to see a dart with white liquid entering him. You yelped, leaning all of your body weight on to him when another dart of the same exact liquid pierced into the side of your neck. Your eyes were wide in fear when all he could do was hold you in his arms as you both crumbled to the ground.
Bora was the first to see what was happening, she blurred a few meters but a dart hit her leg. She was quick to yank it out but the red liquid that entered her was enough to drop her limp. Each OB was hit with a dart causing all to fall into an unconscious state. You laid there with your gaze towards the cloudy sky hoping this was your last. You were ready to be with Wednesday again till a shadow blocked the beautiful sky. Everything around him went dark when your eyes locked onto his. You could feel the liquid making its course through your body but you could feel the shiver that ran down your spine.
“Hello, sister.”

Heyy skuppo I like your fanfic a lot and I’ve noticed u haven’t been online at all, u okay? I’m not trying to be pushy for a new chapter, sorry if it comes off that way. I was just wondering if your were alr?
Hi hello! It's very kind that you're reaching out here like this! 💖 It made me happy to see when I noticed, which admittedly took awhile (I'm so sorry!), because I have been very disconnected from everything lately!
This is kinda rambly so I'll give it a cut!
I am doing ALL RIGHT (right now, anyway, because before, I was doing TERRIBLY AHHHH like seriously some of the worst months of my life there for a bunch of stupid and also personally catastrophic reasons). I don't really want to get into all that because it's a huge bummer and it all REALLY SUCKED and I don't want to trauma dump! I'm sure I'll get into it a bit on my next author's note! BUT FEAR NOT, I'm not one of those people who gets upset even if people are like, "YO WHERE'S YOUR FIC" even if that was your intention -- long as it's respectful! It actually makes me more happy than anything to hear people still care about my story when I go into social hibernation mode 😭 selfishly my story means the world to me, so anytime anyone likes it, I'm like, yesssssss, my life is validated!
And on THAT front, I'm done with a chapter! I'm gonna do one quick and final pass-over edit and then it'll get posted tomorrow, either before or after work! (It's currently 11:00ish pm here in CST land, so expect it somewhere between like, idk, 8:30 AM and... 5? tomorrow??) Gonna take some brief time to ramble here because WHY NOT and also I AM ANXIOUS and gotta word vomit to STOP IT (it won't actually stop any of the anxiety BUT I CAN TRY) and am I really myself if I am not taking a short, sweet comment and using it to BLAB FOR DAYS???: it's not as long as my last couple of chapters because those 20k+ behemoths were exhausting as fuck to edit and really killed my drive to write. This is more my old style of 10-14k sorta chapters, and the one AFTER it is also actually written, too, it just needs a lot more editing. And then there's a TON of stuff after it I've also written too. In my long sabbatical, I basically let myself write scenes from parts of my fic as I was inspired to write them and not necessarily chronologically! This kinda resulted in me having TONS of shit written but nothing I could post, but it was also all I could really emotionally manage at the time. Between that and letting myself go back to smaller chapter sizes, I'm hoping it means I can go back to posting with a lot more regularity -- like, idk, once every week or two. I kept falling into this DUMB TRAP where I'd get anxious about a long portion of the story being more introspective/emotion-exploring than plot advancing and think, well, I have to hold on until I get some introspection AND some plot advancing moments, and that meant I'd end up with some INSANELY LONG CHAPTERS and editing those things made me really wanna walk directly into oncoming traffic. They were especially torture when I was NOT doing so hot on the brainmeat front, which is... OFTEN. Like who isn't emotionally and mentally a mess these days, the world is a DISASTER Anyway, long story short, I'm going to stop holding myself to arbitrary goals and allow myself to sometimes publish a chapter that's more about some horror-drenched domestic nightmare-fluff even if it doesn't have anything SUPER plot advancey at the moment because it's what makes me happy! AND HEY, character development is plot advancement too! (THAT'S WHAT I'M TELLING MYSELF ANYWAY AHHHH)
Tumblr media
(In actuality I feel like I'm constantly terrified I'm letting the 20 people who consistently read my stuff down, but I gotta like, try really really hard to NOT think about that, HNNGH.)
I really think it'll be better for everyone tho. I'm more motivated to write when things don't take me a month and a half, because when it takes me a month and a half to write ONE CHAPTER I want to take a 7 year sabbatical not only from writing, but from life. I don't tend to get near as exhausted churning through smaller chapters though! Also, I hope you're reading on Ao3 and NOT FF.net cause I probably won't be posting there immediately! This chapter gets more overtly sexual than previous ones and I know FF.net isn't down for that so I gotta... find some way to edit it so it's not as heinous? Which is like HALF THE POINT OF THE CHAPTER, so I'm concerned! 🫠 Not that FF.net has any moderation anymore, but y'know, just in case! PS - for the anon who sent me the ask asking when the fic was getting updated sometime in mid January, the answer is: TOMORROW! <3

For the ask game, 5 and 15.
5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected
Honestly? A Warrior Returned. Writing FFXIV fics is incredibly popular in the fandom, so I didn't expect more than a handful of comments overall -- because people develop tastes and interests in their fics and might have decided from my tags that I'm not worth their time. On top of that, I'm crossing over with a mobile gacha game that died back in 2020, so there's no new official content to maintain that particular fandom. And yet, here I am, grabbing Wol by the back of his armor and throwing him into new situations for funsies.
And I've got at least one regular commenter every chapter on the fic, and one regular asker here on Tumblr every week. It's more than I honestly could've hoped for, and it makes me wonder if it's making any headway into the hibernating fandom somehow. I definitely don't know.
(I almost thought "Distant Cousins," but I started posting that pretty soon after the Trigun Stampede season went up, and considering the constant popularity of FFVII...well, getting a lot of comments every week is pretty much a staple for that corner of the internet at this point. I'm still glad to see ANY number of comments, don't get me wrong! It's just that I've come to expect more overall every week for that one in comparison to my other works.)
15. What WIP are you taking into the next year with you?
I currently have 3 WIPs that I'm working through -- and two of them haven't seen the light of the internet yet. XD
Distant Cousins is still very much a work-in-progress, considering the overall length of FFVII and the changes I'm making to it. I'm not done writing the "Rebirth" portion of the plot yet, and will no doubt need to go back to referencing the original game if I want to finish this fic in a decent amount of time. At least I hit chapter 61 earlier this week! I'm maintaining my lead on my readers!
The other two fics that I'm working on -- the sequels to A Warrior Returned and Chronicles of a Young Adventurer -- won't be going up until a good bit of the way into 2025. They both take place in the "MSQ patch quests" of ARR (that is, 2.1-2.5, as a lead-up to Heavensward, the next big part of Final Fantasy XIV's story). So it's just a matter of refreshing my memory for those events and getting everything written out. Chronicles' sequel is much further along, so I can focus on Wol and edit things as needed in the other one as I go.

As long as their dad is not named Tomas, it's fine
The year is 2040, and Violetta and Francesca are mothers to three teenagers. As Christmas is upon them, everyone prepares to buy gifts for their loved ones. Especially Violetta and Francesca's oldest daughter, Elina, who has found herself quite interested in a certain someone. With her moms and her siblings, unbeknownst to her, helping out, maybe she'll get a little romance this Christmas.
This first chapter will include some introduction to Franletta's next gens, how the family dynamic is, plus some other next gens you've met before. Plus some slander thrown at Germán and of course, Tomas. Enjoy!
Read on ao3 or under the cut.
Elina smiled in her sleep. She was enjoying her dream.
They were on a beach. They smiled at each other.
They leaned in, and were just about to…
“Elina! Wake up, you joxter!”
Elina tried to finish her dream, but she couldn’t get back into it.
Her little sister opened the door and proceeded to sit on top of her.
“Quit dreaming and get up!” she exclaimed.
“Caro… it’s literally the first day of summer vacation, leave me be.”
“It may be so, but Christmas is just around the corner! It’s not really summer until January!” Carolina said.
“And in Italy it’s winter… the world is weird!” Elina muttered, quoting something their mom said practically every single change of season. ”Anyway… it’s not christmas yet. We don’t need to go fix stuff early in the morning.”
“It is 11 AM,” Carolina noted. “That is why I woke you up. It’s almost lunch and you haven’t woken up! Chop chop!”
Elina groaned and covered her head with her blanket.
“Get up,” Carolina said in a serious tone, “Or I’ll fart in your room.”
“Are you 10 years old? Come on.”
“I will, if you don’t get up.”
“Ha ha.”
“I’m serious. I’m gonna count down.”
Elina wasn’t buying it. Carolina was 16 now, she shouldn’t do such childish things anymore.
“10… 9…”
“Caro, you’re so childish, come on.”
“8… 7…”
“You’re not gonna do it.”
“6…5…”
“You’re seriously not gonna…”
“4…3…”
Elina looked into her sister’s eyes and realized she was dead serious.
“Ok, I’m up!” she yelled, standing on the floor within the next second. “Don’t fart in my room, or I’ll kill you.”
“You got away this time,” Carolina said, starting to walk out of the room. “I’ll do it in Oliver’s room!”
Elina took a deep breath. Ok, 11 AM was pretty late to still sleep… she might as well get up now.
-
Elina got dressed in the outfit she wore yesterday, that she had just thrown on the floor, and went down to the kitchen. She knew lunch was just an hour or two away, so she just took something light.
“Look who’s awake!” Violetta, her mother, sang. She went up to hug her, as she continued singing some made-up melody. “Sleepyhead is awake from her hibernation! Did you sleep well?”
“Yeah.”
“Too well,” Carolina said, “I heard her moaning in her sleep.”
Elina turned to her. “Why are you here?”
“I live here.”
“Did you have a nice dream?” Violetta asked.
“Yeah! I mean… I don’t remember… Can you let me go, mama, so I can go eat something?”
“Yes, boss!” Violetta sang. When she sang everything she said, she was in a good mood.
Elina walked into the kitchen and got some yogurt.
“Do you wanna know when I woke up?”
She got slightly startled, seeing her little brother suddenly popping up out of nowhere.
“At 6 AM!” Oliver said, crossing his arms. “Beat that!”
“Why would you wake up that early on a break?” Elina asked.
“Because I had the energy! And do you know what I did?”
“What did you do?”
“I decided that since I was awake, I might as well bake! So I baked some cookies!”
He handed her one. “Here you go!”
“Thanks.”
Oliver had always been a morning bird. Elina remembered she too liked waking up early when she was little, but around middle school she suddenly felt the need to sleep as long as possible…
But Oliver was on another level. As a kid he often woke up at 4 AM, wide awake, and went downstairs to watch kids shows. Elina would often wake up from him having the tv on too loud. But as he grew up, he still kept waking up early. Their mom had joked he was an old man trapped in a boy’s body. When he woke up nowadays, he often took walks around the block, at times even going to the store to buy something they needed so that no one else needed to get it. Or he did stuff like bake, or engage in something creative. The con of this was, of course, that he became very sleepy early in the evening. Elina had heard he often was the first to fall asleep at sleepovers, and didn’t understand why anyone willingly wanted to stay up after 22:30. Both Elina and Carolina had joked that as soon as he’d become a teenager, he’d realize how fun it was staying up late and sleeping until noon. But Oliver was 14 now, and his morning energy had never changed.
“Look who’s awake!” Francesca exclaimed, making the exact same comments Violetta had made. Although, she didn’t sing.
“Morning, mami…” Elina said.
People had often asked Elina how she felt having two moms. But she never really reflected much on it. She never felt “odd” or “different” - especially because she knew several others who also had two moms or two dads. All it made her think was that families can look very different.
Technically, none of her siblings were biologically related to her. Violetta and Francesca had taken turns being pregnant, Violetta carrying Elina and Francesca carrying Carolina. They had different donors as well. And Oliver was adopted.
But it didn’t matter that the only person she was biologically related to was Violetta. Francesca was just as much her mom. She didn’t call her siblings “half-siblings”. They were her full siblings - maybe not technically, but they shared the same parents (even if not by blood) and grew up in the same house. That is full siblings.
“What are your plans for today?” Francesca asked.
“Mm, I might do some shopping for gifts,” Elina said.
“You haven’t bought any yet?” Oliver asked.
“I’ve been busy with school.”
“So have I, but I still found the time!”
Elina rolled her eyes. “For your information, I have gotten some, but I still need to buy some more.”
”Want me to drive you?” Francesca asked.
”No, I can walk.”
”Are you meeting up with a friend?”
Elina shrugged. ”Maybe.”
Carolina passed by the kitchen, just to drop one single comment before leaving again.
”She’s gonna meet her crush!”
”No!” Elina exclaimed.
Francesca smiled. ”Well, it’s fine if you are. You know you can tell us if there’s someone you like.”
Violetta walked into the kitchen, wrapping her arm around Francesca. She decided to join the conversation.
”But, if you don’t want to, that’s totally fine. You have a right to some privacy, too.”
”Right… we’re not gonna dress up in secret identities and spy on you!” Francesca said jokingly.
Elina looked at her moms for a brief moment, before shaking her head. ”Who even does that?”
”Oh sweet child, I have some stories,” Violetta sighed.
”Ok… well, I’m leaving! I’m gonna eat lunch in the city!”
”Have fun!” Francesca exclaimed. ”And text if you want a ride home!”
As Elina left the house, they turned to their middle child, who had been hiding at the entrance of the kitchen with a smirk.
”Ok, tell us,” Francesca said, ”Does she really have a crush?”
”Mhm!” Carolina said. ”I heard her moaning in her sleep. I didn’t hear a name, but I think I know who it is.”
”Is it a boy, girl, neither, both?” Violetta asked. ”Have we met them? Will she bring them home? In that case, the bedroom door needs to be open!” She then gasped at herself. ”Oh no, am I becoming my father?”
”You’re never gonna be your father,” Francesca assured her.
”Mama, why are you so afraid of turning into grandpa?” Oliver asked. ”He’s so… nice. A little odd, it seems sometimes that he doesn’t know mami’s name despite you two being married for like 20 years, but he’s nice.”
”Oh, he is,” Violetta said. ”But… let’s just say everyone has gotten therapy except for him.”
”How is grandpa, anyway?” Carolina asked. ”Last time we met, he coughed so badly and needed to rest.”
”He’s… fine…” Violetta looked down on the floor. She didn’t really want to tell her kids what actually went on. Germán was… well, not that healthy. It had declined every year since around 2024, and while he still had some energy, she could tell that… well, he probably needed to have a checkup with a doctor, but he kept telling everyone he was fine. He was still a very stubborn man.
Violetta loved her father, but she had also felt a lot more strained with him for every year that passed. However, Germán didn’t seem to notice that.
He had always been so anti-boys with Violetta, so when she brought home a girl his brain kind of got a short-circuit. He was of course supportive of them, but he kept calling Francesca ”Camila” even after 20 years of her and Violetta being married, and was a bit confused how they got their kids. When he found out Violetta was pregnant with Elina, he thought some boy had gotten himself on her, and he practically ran around in circles because he couldn’t be mad at Violetta’s wife - she didn’t make her pregnant? So he just madly ran around being mad at someone who did this to his daughter. When Francesca was pregnant with Carolina though, he did not process that Violetta also was gonna be a mother to this child. But when they adopted Oliver, he did realize pretty quickly that both of them were the parents and they were raising him together. Only took him 3 times… He did love his grandchildren though. Violetta however was always more hesitant leaving them with him. She didn’t know why, he was often good with them, and a ”funny grandpa”, but he also seemed to forget they were growing up. Just a year ago he asked if Oliver had quit diapers yet. ”Yes, around 10 years ago?”
Sadly Germán was their closest living relative (if you didn’t count Angie, of course. But Angie had her own life too, with her own husband and child). Both Violetta and Francesca thought Francesca’s parents were much better grandparents than Germán. They kept track of the kids’ ages, interests and loved catching up with them. They were also, unlike Germán, knowing Violetta and Francesca had equal parenting over all the kids. It didn’t matter if only one of the kids was biologically related to them, they saw all of them as their grandkids (however, they did like making comments about how much other relatives Carolina looked like).
Sadly, Francesca’s parents lived in Italy. Luckily, social media and smartphones existed. They loved calling their grandchildren and seeing their photos on social media.
Luca never got any kids, so these were their only grandchildren. And they had sent them some christmas gifts all the way from Italy, which was due to arrive tomorrow.
”I only have one more question about her crush,” Violetta said, ”Is their dad named Tomas?”
”Yes, it may sound silly, but that’s our biggest red flag, no matter how friendly her crush is,” Francesca added.
Carolina continued to smirk. ”I don’t know Elina’s crush’s parents… but I do know… she also has two moms.”
”So it’s a she?” Violetta asked.
”And she also has two moms?” Francesca asked. ”Ok, now I’m feeling more green flags.”
”What if Elina’s crush is really evil, despite having two moms?” Oliver asked.
”Then we’ll deal with that then,” Violetta said. ”Right now I’m just happy it’s not Tomas’ offspring!”
Violetta and Francesca did not know what happened to the Tomas they knew in 2012. Maybe he wasn’t even alive! But it could be possible he had settled down and started a family. Maybe he found someone who liked him.
They both had been having literal nightmares that Tomas would move back to Buenos Aires and his offspring would date one of their kids.
Luckily, that never happened. And the world continued to never know about what Tomas was up to in 2040.
”May I ask where you got all this information about her supposed crush?” Violetta asked Carolina.
”I read her diary!” Carolina replied. ”Just kidding. She doesn’t have a diary.”
”Yes! She has one from when she was 10!” Oliver chimed in. ”And that one you did read!”
”Yes, I did! But she doesn’t have one now. Anyway, I found out by observing her. It’s a girl from school. I have seen how she acts around her.”
”Interesting…” Violetta said. ”And tell me, what is this girl’s name?”
-
”Lola!”
Elina waved at her as she stood outside the book shop. Lola came up to her, with her normal smug face.
They were gonna buy some christmas gifts together, and then have lunch and maybe do something else in the city. They didn’t have much plans. Maybe they’d just end up walking around.
”What’s up?” Lola asked.
”Not much. My siblings mocked me for waking up at 11.”
”That’s a classic. My sister once woke me up by blasting Caramelldansen at the highest volume.”
They giggled.
“So, what gifts do you need to buy?” Lola asked.
“I need a gift for my sister and one of my moms, the others I’ve fixed.”
“I’m gonna buy a gift for one of my moms, too!”
“Great! Where are we going first?”
“I wanna buy a fun t-shirt for my mom, so maybe that store down the street?”
“Yeah!”
They walked to the store. Lola was starting to search for a specific shirt she had seen, while Elina was browsing around. There were lots of funny t-shirts. A lot of them were in english, but clearly written by someone who was not fluent in english. She kinda wanted to buy one herself…
”Ok, I found it!” Lola exclaimed and held up a T-shirt that said If you’re allergic to cats, don’t put them in your mouth, in an italics font, with a picture of a rose, as if it was a beautiful poetic message.
“I love it!” Elina admitted, cracking up.
“This is great, now I got my gift!”
As Lola was paying, Elina was thinking of which gift she should buy first. She planned on buying a new blazer for Violetta, and for Carolina she thought about buying her some new headphones.
Soon she noticed a bright turquoise blazer. It looked just like what she saw her mom had worn when she was her age. It was a blazer Elina happened to look for, and give to her mother.
Perfect! She found a gift here. Now it was just the headphones.
Elina bought the blazer, and they headed to an electronics store to buy some headphones. Most of them were way too expensive, but Oliver said he’d be in on the gift too. He’d give less money, because he was 14 and got a smaller allowance than Elina, but it was enough to at least buy a pretty decent set of headphones.
“Where do you wanna eat?” Lola asked.
“I don’t know. I think I can eat a burger or something,” Elina replied.
“Sounds great!”
They went to a burger place that had opened recently. They made pretty nice burgers. Apparently “eco friendly” too, which made them more expensive than they needed to be.
”I’m thinking of going to the hairdresser later,” Lola said. ”I wanna re-dye my hair. Wanna join?”
”Yes!” Elina thought going to the hairdresser felt a little boring, but she’d go anywhere as long as Lola was with her.
”I’m thinking of leaving my right part the same, and just dyeing my left part.” Lola pointed at her hair. It was currently parted in the middle, brown on the right and blonde on the left.
”What color did you have in mind?”
”Purple!”
”Ooh!” Elina imagined just how nice Lola would look in that. She enjoyed that imaginary image a lot, so she was excited how it would be in real life. ”You know, I’ve been thinking of dyeing my hair myself, but I just haven’t.”
Lola smirked. ”Why don’t you try it now?”
”Oh, I don’t know…”
”Come on! You can’t afford it? At the place I’m going to, they let the first time be half the price!”
”I can afford it! It’s just… it feels so spontaneous!”
”Yeah! Isn’t it exciting?”
Elina couldn’t argue with that.
Alone, she’d never go and dye her hair. But when Lola was around, it was like she was ready to try more things.
-
On their way to the hair salon, they passed someone on the street that Elina recognized.
“Kim?”
Kim turned around. “Elina! Hey!”
“I didn’t recognize you! Did you dye your hair?”
Kim normally had their natural hair color, which was dark brown. But now, they had dyed it a magenta-color.
“Yeah! You know, I started university this year, and I have just gone on this journey… I’ve learned a lot about myself, and I decided it was time for an update.”
“I like it!”
Lola decided to chime in, despite having no idea who Kim was. “Elina here is also gonna dye her hair!”
Kim cracked up. “No way!”
“It’s true…” Elina admitted. “I’m gonna try…”
“Send me a picture later,” Kim said. “Now I gotta go.”
“Who was that?” Lola asked as they waved them off.
“They’re a family friend. My moms are best friends with their mom.”
Lola put her hands behind her neck, like an anime character acting laid back. “University… I don’t know what I wanna do, to be honest.”
“We have a year left!” Elina said. “And you don’t have to go to university right away after high school ends.”
“That’s true…”
They came up to the hair salon.
”Lola! Are you here for a drop-in?” a hairdresser asked.
”Sure am! Thought about dying my hair a new color. And I brought a friend! She’s gonna dye her hair, too!”
Elina smiled shyly. ”Hello.”
”How fun! Come, we have two seats ready!”
Lola sat down in a chair, and Elina sat down in the chair next to hers.
”What would you like to do today?” the hairdresser asked Elina.
”Dye my hair… in… can I dye it in several colors?”
”You can!”
Elina smiled. ”Good, because I can’t choose between orange, pink and white.”
”Those three colors together will look so good! You’re gonna be very happy with it, I can already tell.”
-
Lola got done before Elina. It took much faster just dyeing one half of your hair. She waited in anticipation.
Finally, after a long wait, the hairdresser showed Elina her hair in the mirror.
Elina gasped. ”It’s… perfect!”
”I knew you’d like it!”
Elina was filled with adrenaline. She actually dyed her hair! Why was she ever nervous about it in the first place?
And it looked so good, too!
”Lola, I need to thank you,” she said. ”Without you I had never dared to do this.”
She then realized how cheesy she sounded. As if Lola was a superhero or something…
”Eh, it was nothing,” Lola chuckled. ”You look rad!”
”So do you! You look so good in purple!”
Lola checked her phone. ”Ah, I gotta go home. I need to wrap the gift so that I don’t forget.”
”Yeah, me too! But it was really fun hanging out with you today!”
”Hey, the pleasure was on my side!”
They kissed on the cheek goodbye. Elina watched Lola slowly walk away. She took a deep breath.
She kind of wanted to give Lola a christmas gift. She didn’t know why.
Maybe it would be weird. Lola might not give her anything, so if she gave her something it would be awkward. But she still wanted to…
The question was only what…
-
Elina came home, feeling very confident. She entered the kitchen, where Francesca was currently sitting. She looked up at Elina and gasped.
”Your hair!”
”Oh. Yeah, I dyed it.”
”Who has dyed their hair?” Carolina asked, rushing into the room. She was also quite surprised seeing Elina’s new look. ”No way!”
Violetta and Oliver then entered the kitchen, and were just as surprised.
”You look so cool!” Violetta said. ”So much color! When I was your age, I only dared to dye the highlights. My dad still got shocked, however…”
”You did go full blonde for a year, though,” Francesca noted.
”That was the year after.”
”Lola and I made a spontaneous trip to the hair salon,” Elina explained. ”I’ve been thinking of dyeing my hair for so long and I just… did it now.”
Carolina looked at it closer. ”Elina… tell me something.”
”What?”
”Is this your way of coming out to us?”
”Huh?”
Carolina smirked. ”It’s the lesbian flag’s colors.”
”It is!” Francesca exclaimed. ”I knew it reminded me of something.”
”Oh…” Elina said. ”Well, it wasn’t my intention, I just… liked the colors.”
”Mhm,” Carolina said and continued giving smug faces.
”Yeah, because you don’t need to come out as anything when you already have two moms,” Oliver said.
”You wouldn’t have to come out as anything regardless,” Violetta assured her kids. She turned back to Elina. ”But it does look really good. And I’m happy you seemed to have fun with… Lola? Was it?”
”Yes, Lola.”
”You can invite her over, sometime…” Francesca said. ”If you want.”
”Yeah…” For some reason, the thought of inviting Lola over made Elina feel a bit… odd. As if, while she wanted to, she felt self conscious that she wanted to.
It could be because of that dream you had about her last night, her brain told her.
Shut up, brain, she told the brain.
She also thought about her sister’s comment.
She was aware it was the lesbian flag. And a part of her may have dyed her hair in those colors just because of that. But she did not want to fully admit that actually was the reason.
But she was a lesbian. Probably… maybe…
She wasn’t sure why she’d even be uncertain of labeling herself. She had two moms, she was raised not even needing to think so much about society’s norms. She never needed to label herself, because no one assumed she was anything in the first place.
And yet here she was, being uncertain of her sexuality. Or, rather, she was pretty sure, but she just did not want to admit it, or fully want to embrace it just yet. And that was ok. But it was also kinda odd. She had no societal pressure from anyone to label herself, and yet she told herself she needed to figure it out preferably now. Why was that?
She decided to not think about it too much, and focus on what she could potentially give as a Christmas gift for Lola.
Yeah, because that’ll help with your sexuality struggle!
Shut up, brain…
If you've read my other works, then Lola might be familiar to you! Franletta's kids have also appeared in oneshots of mine, but I felt like it was only fair that they'd get their own multichapter fic for once. They're just as important to me. This first chapter was just some introduction into all the dynamics. I'll post the next chapter next wednesday, and then it'll start to focus some more on the romance… not gonna say much, but let's say Franletta thought it was a good idea to have a spontaneous dinner party and very much encourages their oldest daughter to invite Lola over…

Books I've read in October 2024:
And what I thought about them:
(no this isn't almost a month late, you are)
Tumblr media
The Games Gods Play - i don't even know what to say, i started this with some friends as a buddy read but my god did i hate this book. i'm kind of anal about greek mythology and for most of the time this book shits all over greek mythology. like i found some passages that were straight up copy and pasted from internet sites! that's not cool?? if i have to read hades being called the god of death one more time I will commit a crime DNF
Tumblr media
The Hanged Man - I did like the first one in the series but it didn't become like a hard favorite but with this one I felt that maybe becoming an option, we were warming up to each other!
4.75 Stars
Tumblr media
The Hourglass Throne - i'm fucking locked in baby, i'm here for the ride and i don't want to get out. very excited for the rest of the series once it releases (fingers crossed that's soon) but all around i would recommend this if you are looking for a series to get into
5 Stars
Tumblr media
Before the Coffee Gets Cold - this was sweet and sad and i sobbed all over my e-book, thank god for no ruined pages. if you're going through any kind of grief or loss I think this book will really hit you, because it hit me and usually i'm not the biggest crier. it's not going to be one of my ride and die books though
4.5 Stars
Tumblr media
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - man fuck i loved this book lmao and it also made me cry! i was not doing well after this and the last one back to back... now... i didn't necessarly like any of the characters, which i think is kind of the point, so if you need likeable characters this book is probably not for you but man did i love it. i read this in one night
5 Stars
Tumblr media
A Conjuring of Light - i still love this world and barely like any of the characters xD i suppose this one was the best of the trilogy but i mostly read it because i just wanted to be done with the series lmao it's a solid book though, don't let my lukewarm feelings about it deter you
4.25 Stars
Tumblr media
Thousand Autumns Vol 1 - this had been on my tbr forever and i always wanted to read it and never did?? what a mistake on my part lmao no surprise though considering i am a danmei fiend, i will consume them all. i didn't 100% love it though
4.5 Stars
Tumblr media
A Psalm for the Wild-Built - this is a cozy exestential crisis just waiting to hit you over the head, if you don't think about it too hard you will be fine but if you engage with the text in any kind of meaningful way... be warned, you might start contemplating all your life choices
4.75 Stars
Tumblr media
A Prayer for the Crown-Shy - if the first one didn't get you this one is here to finish the job, it didn't resonate as hard with me as the first one but that's just because of my circumstances and not because it's worse in any way, you just have to get it and i got this one a little less
4.5 Stars
Tumblr media
The Haunting of Hill House - ... am I just not a horror guy because this one was just.... boring. like i vibed with the first half but the second one?? just lost me. i got what was going on, i saw the vision, i just didn't like it. the ending was so... weak kind of. oh well
2.5 Stars
Tumblr media
Thousand Autumns Vol 2 - back to the things I know and love, i'm also trying to actually finish series and not let them rot on my shelves for months. i still really like this series and this one just sucked me more and more in. i kind of hibernated a bit and chomped down on these in a few days
4.75 Stars
Tumblr media
The Hunger Games - i read this as a child ages ago but had to reread it because i found out one of my friends never read the series or watched the movies. and i can't be friends with you if you didn't. so we are reading the entire series together and man this just hits. it's just good, i don't have to tell you, everyone knows... but i'm also like 10 years older than the first time and have certainly read some better books since then
4.5 Stars
Tumblr media
Thousand Autumns Vol 3 - i got got, this one did it to me, hooked it's teeth into me and dragged me down into hell, see you again never. just lovely (to read, not like content wise)
5 Stars
Tumblr media
Thousand Autumns Vol 4 - i love this series, i love the covers, i love these two idiots and i will never recover, thanks for coming to my ted talk
5 Stars
Tumblr media
Thousand Autumns Vol 5 - ugh like it's perfect where it ended but i also just want more?? i so hope we can get some more stories in this universe with other characters pls pls pls pls also this would have been a really good end for the month but sadly it wasn't :)
5 Stars
Tumblr media
Mortal Skin - i really thought I would like this... and it was fine. until the end. where my most hated trope reared it's head. i could already smell it but i was in denial and then it came anyway and i don't even want to read the rest of the series which hurts because I loved Lily's other series but I just can't do it again. also what is it with all the fae books i've read so far having almost the same major plot hits??? like what? be original i beg maybe then I wouldn't hate all of you

enjoy!~
Diluc looked out into the darkness. Cold winds and snow whipped around him, flinging his hair over his eyes.
“Ajax!” Diluc cried out.
The falling snow blinded him as the winds swallowed his screams.
Diluc continued walking forward slowly, struggling against the blizzard. His heart thundered in his chest. He had to find Ajax.
He squeezed his eyes shut as a strong gust of wind blew nearly toppling him over, but Diluc held his ground.
He tried to call his flames, but his vision would not listen to him, and the flames sputtered out as quickly as he summoned them.
The coldness crept up his fingers and toes. Diluc clenched his teeth, preventing them from chattering.
“Ajax!” Diluc called again. “Don’t worry, I am coming for you! I will save you, so just keep holding on!”
Diluc tried to call on his flames once more, to no avail. He managed to move a good distance forward before another blast of wind rushed over him. This time he wasn’t able to stay standing. Diluc fell to the snow, wildly waving his arms trying to grab something, anything, that would ground him.
Thankfully, the wind stopped and disappeared completely along with the darkness.
Before Diluc could even rejoice, he looked down at the snow where his hands were. Flecks of red dotted the white ground. Diluc followed the trail with his eyes and saw it disappear into the treeline a little ways ahead.
Diluc struggled to breath, from the cold and his anxiety, as he shakily stood up. He slowly made his way to the treeline but didn’t cross over.
“Ajax?” Diluc called, his voice trembling. When no answer came, he called again.
“Ajax? Are you there? I’m coming, just…” Diluc tried to find the right words, but his throat began to constrict and the air around him continued to leech off his warmth.
However, Diluc stepped into the trees. He could not give up here. Not when his fated might be bleeding out ahead of where he was.
The light dimmed as the trees blocked the little sunlight there. Diluc steadily made his way forward.
The shadows around him danced like ghouls, and the wind that picked up cackled at his fear.
Diluc swallowed, trying to regain his composure. But every spot of red he followed hammered away at his confidence.
Finally, Diluc made it to a clearing where the sun light up the center.
On top of a pile of pristine white snow lay his Fated.
The red snow went from puddles to rivers the closer it got to the center. Diluc continued walking to his Fated, but it felt like his feet were barrels of wine filling more and more with each step he took.
Once he reached the middle, he saw a boy laying still, painting the snow in his own lifeblood.
Diluc collapsed to his knees, his feet unable to handle his weight anymore. The cold had crept to his torso, freezing his heart.
He reached out to touch his Fated’s face. Diluc wasn’t able to tell if it was Ajax’s face or his hand that was cold.
Even so, Diluc continued to caress Ajax’s face. He leaned his head down whispering apologies.
“Are you really sorry?” A voice said. Diluc raised his head to see vacant blue eyes staring back at him.
“Why didn’t you come and save me? You promised you would protect me.” The lips on the face moved.
“I-” Diluc tried to speak.
“You weren’t strong enough. And now you have to pay the price.” The cold voice spoke.
The cold pierced Diluc’s heart causing him to double over.
“No…” He said weakly, reaching out to keep a hand on Ajax. But the body had already gotten out of his reach. He had somehow returned to the edge of the clearing.
“No, I- I promise I will get stronger. I will protect you next time!”
As the icicles burrowed further into his heart and the winds picked up, Diluc watched as the body of the boy awkwardly rose, blood frozen to invisible cuts.
“But there won’t be a next time.” The voice whispered.
The blizzard picked up once again taking away all of his senses. Diluc screamed, calling for Ajax and fighting the pain in his heart, before falling into the darkness once more.
Diluc startled awake in cold sweat. His chest heaved as he tried to control his breathing. After a few seconds, Diluc threw off the blankets and went to wash his face. His hands continued to shake as he wiped off the water.
Diluc gripped the sink and ran through the breathing exercises. When his breathing gradually returned to normal, Diluc returned to his room.
He looked out the window to see the first rays of light coming from the horizon. He sighed and ran a hand over his face. The reoccurring dream had started when Ajax first lost contact.
Diluc quickly glanced at his arm.
Good Morning ㅤ:) It looks like the foxes have started to change their coats, cause I saw two white foxes hopping around this morning!
The silver message calmed his heart. Diluc smiled and sent a quick good morning message back.
Ajax was fine. He had returned alive. He was safe at home.
It had been 2 months since Diluc had heard back from Ajax after the three day silence.
The day after Diluc had seen Ajax’s answer, he went to church to thank Barbatos. He made sure to promise that he would do his best as a knight and that he would offer his all to the Archon as thanks.
When Diluc tried asking about what happened, Ajax only replied in vague terms. From the way he wrote about it, it seemed like Ajax didn’t want to talk about it. So, Diluc chose to not chase the topic. His Fated had returned safely; he didn’t want to make it uncomfortable for him.
Diluc did try to press on how Ajax had gotten the scars. However, Ajax played them off.
Oh I accidentally slipped and fell on my adventure. But don’t worry, I’m okay now and they have all healed. Now you don’t have to keep apologizing for the scars you got haha, was the only response Diluc got.
He wasn’t able to pursue that either since Ajax kept skirting around it. All Diluc knew was that his Fated was lying to him about them. The scars Diluc had found were not ones you could get from a fall. The shapes looked like they were made by claws or weapons.
But there was only so much Diluc could do to try and get Ajax to talk, so he gave up on it.
For now.
He hoped Ajax would tell him when he felt more comfortable. Diluc rationalized Ajax was still recovering from the incident and did not wish to keep talking about it.
Diluc did notice that there would be small silvery nicks appearing on his skin every now and then. This was new since all the scars so far where from when Diluc trained and learned to control his vision. At first, Diluc would contact Ajax anytime he noticed a new scar, but after having it happen multiple times, Diluc just learned to let it go. Most of the scars were not life-threatening like before, and as time went on fewer and fewer appeared. His Fated was fine and that’s all that mattered. At least, that’s what he kept telling himself.
After the whole disappearing incident, Diluc realized just how powerless he was. And seeing as he had another nightmare, it seemed his fears would not go away any time soon.
All he could do was focus on getting stronger, which is what he did. He had increased his personal training time and went headfirst into his work as Captain.
After sending the response back to Ajax, Diluc began getting ready for the day. He would have to complete his morning training before breakfast was ready. He had added some extra Vision training since Diluc wanted to have full control over his flames. He was now able to cover his weapon with his flames for a longer time while still keeping them stable. And he finally managed to get them to stop melting the metal, which Diluc was pretty proud about.
After getting dressed, he pulled his hair into a pony and walked to the training grounds to start his routine.
The sun was halfway above the horizon by the time Diluc finished. He went to wash up before sitting at the table for breakfast.
Kaeya had already started eating and was chatting with Adelinde and Elzer when he sat down.
“Good morning, Diluc! Are you going to join the competition this week?” Kaeya asked.
“Ah, that was this week.” Diluc said, taking a bite of the bread. “I do not think I will have time. I still have to arrange the patrol units after Paul retired and Jonas got injured. Besides, I also have to catch up on some paperwork.” He continued after swallowing.
“Archons Diluc, you have been working yourself to the bone these past couple of months. I already know you’re all caught up on the paperwork. Jean told me you’re practically stealing her work or making some yourself.” Kaeya lamented. “Don’t you think it’s time you relaxed a little?”
“No. There is still much to do. Even if the guard around the city is stable now, we do not know when an attack could happen or if someone could get lost out there. We need to be prepared for anything. And the patrols are our main way of receiving information early on.” Diluc stated.
Kaeya sighed. “You know you’re not the only knight, much less Captain. It’s okay if you divvy up the tasks.”
“Yes, I know that, but-”
“Diluc, I know you said you were fine, but something is clearly bothering you. You have always been a workaholic but not like this. It’s like… you’re being hounded. ”
Diluc tensed. “It is nothing like that. I am just trying to keep our nation safe. I do not see why that is a problem.”
He could feel Kaeya staring at him, but Diluc did not meet his eye.
“I’m just worried. We all are.” Kaeya said softly.
When Diluc continued to stay silent, Kaeya sighed again.
“Just make sure to take care and not push your limits. I hope you at least know that’s something expected of a good knight.”
Diluc grunted in response. He quickly brushed off any crumbs and stood up.
Straightening his coat, Diluc said, “I am heading out. I will see you at Headquarters.”
And without sparing another glance, Diluc left.
The sun was high in the sky by the time Diluc decided to return to his office for a short break. He could practically hear the cheers from his subordinates when he called for lunch. Maybe he has been going overboard.
Diluc pulled out his lunch Adelinde had prepared along with his quill and silver ink.
How was the fishing trip? He wrote.
While waiting for a reply he began to eat.
Ajax told him he would be going on an ice fishing trip with his father and siblings. Diluc had hoped that would lighten his Fated’s mood, which had been more aggressive than usual.
I didn’t go, was what Diluc got back.
Why not? Are you hurt?
Of course Diluc’s mind goes straight for the worst case scenarios.
no, I got in trouble and couldn’t go
What happened?
I just wanted to get a snow globe for my little brother, but some guy tried to take it from me so I stopped him
Why would that get you in trouble?
papa didn’t like how I did it so I was grounded
Diluc debated on asking what he did to keep the snow globe, but figured it was a less than savory method and chose not to address it.
So what are you doing today then? I know you told me you were going to learn some new recipes from your Mother
I’m banned from the kitchen so I cant do that anymore
Banned? why?
they don’t trust me with the knives
Diluc was first confused, and then worried. Why on earth could his family not trust him with knives?
And of course, the first thing Diluc’s mind conjured up was an image of Ajax putting the blade to his own sk-
Diluc quickly shook his head to banish the thought.
No. There’s no way Ajax would do such a thing. He never showed any indication of self-harm. All the scars were most likely from fights. That meant Ajax wanted to survive. Wanted to live.
But then that lead to another conclusion. Ajax was using weapons to harm others.
Diluc didn’t want to think that was true either. His sweet and innocent Fated could never harm anyone. All Ajax has ever told him was how he loved his family and wished for them to be happy. But he had noticed how much his Fated had changed since his 3-day disappearance.
Diluc wished Ajax would open up to him just a bit more.
Oh, was all Diluc would reply.
but I’ve started to get better control over my vision!
Ajax had told Diluc he had gotten a vision a week after he came home from his “adventure.” It was a hydro vision.
Diluc had been beyond happy when he heard about it.
That’s great! Any plans on how you want to use it?
well I’ve been trying to shape the water into objects, but it’s harder than I thought :(
Oh that would be really cool! And I’m sure you’ll be able to get it after some more practice!
hehe thanks Luc! anyway, what are you doing today?
Same old, just training the soldiers and working on some paperwork.
wow, ever the perfect knight!
Diluc chuckled hollowly when he read that.
Well, I have to stay on top of it if I want to keep everyone safe.
I hope you’re not being too strict on yourself though, make sure to take breaks!
Haha, yes sir.
That reminded him, Diluc checked the time and saw that his break was over.
Speaking of, my break is over so I have to get back to work. I’ll write to you again at night.
okie! take care til then!
Will do, bye.
Diluc cleaned his quill and switched the silver ink to black ink. He pulled out the papers he had to read over and got to work.
Diluc finally looked away from the paperwork when he heard a knock at his door.
“Come in.” Diluc answered.
The door swung open to reveal Kaeya.
“Dear brother, please don’t tell me you were planning on spending the night here pouring over papers?” Kaeya asked.
Diluc rolled his eyes. “I was just about to put them up and get ready to leave.”
Kaeya snorted. It seemed he didn’t believe Diluc, not that he could blame him. There had been more than a few nights Diluc ended up staying at Headquarters overnight since he was unable to get rid of the demons that plagued him at night.
“Well, I thought we could head home together,” Kaeya said, walking into the office. He plopped down on one of the chairs in front of Diluc’s desk.
“Sure, just give me a moment to change,” Diluc said.
While Adelinde did not mind them arriving home in their dirty work clothes, Diluc did not like the feeling. He had gotten so engrossed in his work that he never washed up after the afternoon training, leaving him feeling unclean.
“Can’t you just do that at home?” Kaeya whined as Diluc started taking off his shirt.
Diluc paused and thought about it. It would make more sense if he just took a bath at home altogether.
He sighed and was about to let down his shirt when he felt the fabric being ripped from his hand. His shirt was pulled all the way up, showing the entirety of his back.
Diluc knew it was Kaeya, but the silence between them was unsettling.
What on earth was he… Diluc thought only to realize what exactly was on his back.
Diluc tried to spin around, out of reach from his brother, but Kaeya stayed firm.
“What in Teyvat… Where did you get these?” His brother’s voice was low.
Diluc always felt as though Kaeya became another person when he spoke like that. It wasn’t the voice he was used to.
“It’s nothing, let go.” Diluc tried to pull away again harder. He succeeded with getting Kaeya to release his shoulder but was unable to prevent the motion from helping Kaeya slip his shirt off, showcasing all the scars Diluc had received over the two months.
Kaeya’s eye widened before narrowing and making eye contact with Diluc.
“Are you seriously trying to play these off as nothing? Diluc, those are claw marks! They’re practically life threatening!” Kaeya said, his voice raising.
Diluc sighed, running a hand over his face.
“I said it was nothing because they’re not mine,” he said in a small voice.
He didn’t have to look at his brother to know Kaeya had connected the dots.
“Is… is this why you were acting off this whole time?” Kaeya asked, quieter now. “Is Ajax okay?”
“He’s fine!” Diluc said sharply. He met Kaeya’s gaze, trying to make them both believe his words.
“So, he’s recovering well then,” Kaeya said slowly.
“No. He’s fully recovered and doing perfectly fine.”
“These wounds don’t look like they would heal that fast. Where on Teyvat did he go to get these? They look ghastly,” Kaeya continued to scrutinize the scars.
Diluc ran a hand through his hair. “I don’t know Kaeya! He won’t tell me! He won’t tell me where he went, what he was doing, or how he got back, and I just have to accept that!”
“Dilu-”
“Three days! He was gone for three days, and not a single word during that time. And then he comes back with all these scars, no explanation. But what am I supposed to do? Force him to talk? How? He won’t tell me anything! Of course he wouldn’t tell me. How could he trust me when I couldn’t do anything to help him while he was hurting!”
Diluc heaved, gasping for air. He felt the blood rushing in his cheeks, pounding in his ears. Diluc closed his eyes. He didn’t mean to say all that. He didn’t mean to tell Kaeya. He wasn’t supposed to tell anyone. Nobody was supposed to know he had slipped up, had failed his Fated.
He startled when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Diluc turned to see Kaeya and that goddamn all seeing eye and it’s stupid star.
“It’s not your fault, Diluc.” Kaeya turned Diluc so that both his hands were on Diluc’s shoulders.
“There was no way you could have done anything to help. You are in a whole different nation!” Kaeya said.
“You don’t understand,” Diluc said weakly, turning away, unable to hold his gaze.
“I get that you think you need to protect everyone, but you’re not an Archon Diluc, you’re just a human like the rest of us, doing what you can,” Kaeya said.
“No, you do not get it! He is my Fated; I should have been there for him!” Diluc shouted.
“I know, but-”
“No you don’t know, Kaeya! You don’t even have a Fated, how would you know how I felt when I saw that mine was being harmed hundreds and thousands of kilometers away from me!”
Diluc gasped when he realized what had spilled out of his mouth. He raised his head only to find his brother’s face filled with hurt.
“Kaeya, I didn’t mean…”
“No, you’re right Diluc. I don’t have a Fated, so I won’t ever know how you feel. Sorry, I just…” Kaeya’s face fell.
Diluc felt like he had been hit in the gut by a Mitachurl. He didn’t mean to say that to Kaeya. He knew how much Kaeya had wanted a Fated, just like Diluc.
He remembered the day they found out just like it was yesterday. Both Kaeya and him had been lazing around the house on a summer day after finishing their morning lessons. Diluc had just ended a conversation with Ajax, which Kaeya had joined in for.
Diluc had noticed how Kaeya was eyeing the silver ink and asked if Kaeya had wanted to try using it to contact his fated. Diluc mentally kicked himself for never asking prior. Seeing Kaeya’s face light up made Diluc know he had done his job right as a big brother.
Except that light quickly disappeared when the boys saw that no words showed up. The silver ink did not mark the copper skin. Even when Diluc had tried to write on his brother, nothing showed up. It was as if the ink was unable to mark Kaeya’s skin at all.
Diluc still remembers Kaeya’s face that day. Diluc had tried to give an excuse for why the ink wasn’t working, saying things like the ink had gone bad, or that the ink was too dry. But Kaeya had just smiled at him, as though he had already expected it to be an outcome.
They never brought up the topic again. And yet, Diluc just had to mention it now.
Diluc felt nauseous.
He weakly reached out, “Kaeya, I…”
But before he could even come up with a semblance of an apology, Kaeya quickly raised his head, sporting his happy-go-lucky smirk.
Diluc hated that face. It was a mask that Kaeya put on to block out the rest of the world, and what he wore when he spoke to outsiders or those he didn’t trust. Diluc didn’t like that he was considered an outsider too.
“It’s fine Diluc. I took it too far too, haha.” Kaeya tried to laugh it off.
Diluc clenched his teeth. What was he doing? He said was going to work harder, do better to protect the people he loved and keep them happy. And yet he managed to say some of the most harmful words to his very own brother.
“Anyways, we should head back now. Adelinde will start to get worried if we get back too late,” Kaeya said, starting to turn for the door.
Diluc stepped forward and grabbed Kaeya’s hand. He pulled him in, wrapping him in a hug.
Diluc doesn’t remember the last time they hugged, much less the last time they even got to spend some quality time.
He squeezed his arms around his brother, trying to transfer all the emotions, love and gratefulness, he felt. As well as the regret.
Diluc hid his face in Kaeya’s shoulder, hoping his brother would forgive him.
He felt Kaeya place a hand on his arm and squeeze it.
“It’s okay, Diluc,” Kaeya said. He spoke in a voice so gentle it made Diluc want to cry.
“I know you didn’t mean any harm. I should not have cornered you like that.”
Diluc shook his head, still buried in Kaeya’s shoulder.
“Alright, alright. That’s enough. Can’t very well have the Cavalry Captain crying at Headquarters now can we?” Kaeya chuckled.
“Who said I was crying,” Diluc mumbled.
He took in a breath before letting go and stepping back. Diluc rubbed a hand on his face for good measure. When he looked back up, he saw Kaeya with his hand extended. Diluc clasped it and they both squeezed.
“All good?” Kaeya asked.
“All good,” Diluc responded.
Kaeya nodded, “Good then, lets head out. I’m starving.” He laughed as he exited the office.
Diluc shook his head with a small smile on his face. He picked up the shirt Kaeya had dropped and quickly slipped it back on. He would just wash up at home.
The two brothers walked back, chatting about small things, as though nothing had disturbed their peace.
That night, Diluc and Ajax talked some more. Diluc hoped that one day Ajax would finally open up about what had happened during those three days. But all he could do was wait. So instead, he reveled in the fact that he could write to his Fated and receive a response immediately.
Ajax had finished describing the story he and his siblings had come up with to act out. Diluc was glad his Fated was still getting along with his family.
Diluc hesitated before finally writing down what he had been wanting to ask.
Do you still want to be an adventurer? Are you planning on going on another adventure?
Diluc waited with bated breath.
yes… and no. I don’t know
? Yes you want to still be an adventurer?
yeah, but I don’t think my parents like the idea too much after what happened last time
Oh, that makes sense I guess.
but I know that I don’t want to be a fisherman. I don’t think I could sit in one place everyday and just fish.
like I like ice fishing but not enough to do it for a living, you know
I get it. You want to do something more.
yeah! I’ve gotten stronger, especially now that I have my vision! and I’ve been training with it so that I can protect myself so I can go travel by myself now, but my parents don’t agree with that
Diluc felt his heart stop when he read what Ajax had written.
While he wanted to support his Fated, he could never forget how he felt when he lost contact with Ajax and saw all the scars appear. And the thought of that happening again was terrifying.
Maybe your parents are right. You are still young so you should probably wait a little longer before going out again.
you’re young too, but you still go out and fight hilichurls and monsters all the time! I also need to get stronger so that I can protect you
While I appreciate your concern, I was also trained for a long time and took a test before being able to go out and fight. Is there a place you could train at first?
actually, papa and mama were talking about sending me to join the fatui, oh they are like the knights for our nation! they are super-duper cool and powerful
Diluc remembers reading about the Fatui. They had been expanding their influence into other nations too from what he saw. If he remembers correctly, they were supposed to come to Mondstadt to set up some relations. He would have to go over those again.
That sounds like a good idea. You would get to travel and train to get stronger. Just make sure you are careful.
Diluc couldn’t help but include some nagging out of concern.
haha yes sir! I will let you know what happens!
It had gotten late as they continued to talk, so they both bid each other good night and went to bed.
A few days later, Diluc had noticed a new scar along his midriff when he was washing up. He waited to bring it up later that night during their usual evening chats because Diluc knew Ajax could hold his ground better and wasn’t worried about him being too hurt. And it seemed like Ajax healed faster now that he had gotten a hydro vision, which helped Diluc feel slightly better.
It had gotten more difficult to tell if there was a new scar or if Diluc had just gotten it mixed up with an old scar. However, Diluc had committed all the scars Ajax received during his disappearance to memory since he had religiously gone over them when checking to see if his Fated was alive. This meant Diluc was still able to notice if a new scar appeared, especially in areas where there weren’t as many marks.
Thankfully, the arms weren’t too scarred, so it was still relatively easy to write to each other. It also helped that the scars tended to be pinker which contrasted with the silver ink.
Are you doing okay? I was a new scar on my left side, Diluc wrote.
After a few minutes, he also added, Just wanted to check in.
He didn’t want Ajax to feel as though Diluc was trying to blame him.
hey, sorry, I got into a bit of a scuffle again. I was kinda hoping you wouldn’t notice
No need to be sorry, just wanted to make sure you were okay.
Diluc was really curious about how ‘a bit of a scuffle’ resulted in a permanent scar. He debated on whether or not he should ask, and ultimately decided he deserved some sort of answer since he was also carrying the scar.
Must have been a serious scuffle if you got a scar out of it. Can you tell me what happened?
Diluc had to wait a few minutes before Ajax responded.
I’m really sorry. I tried to be better about my temper but ever since I got back, it’s like something in me just wants to fight.
It’s been getting harder and harder to hold back, and today just happened to be a tipping point I guess.
Diluc thought about what to write back when another message appeared.
I really didn’t want to add more scars to you so I tried really hard to get it to heal without scarring but I guess it scarred because I healed it too fast ugh
Diluc felt his stomach drop. Why hadn’t he thought about it before? All he can see are the scars that healed, not the bruises, broken bones, or the pain his Fated was going through. He used to think that was a blessing since he was always the reason for the scars, but now that it was his Fated who was in pain, Diluc could barely think straight.
It’s fine, really. Besides, if anything I should be apologizing for giving you so many scars early on, Diluc responded.
I’m just glad you are okay :)
I’ll try to do better, but honestly I don’t know Diluc…
Hey, it’s okay. Maybe you can try some calming techniques?
I’ve tried some, mama helped me try some stuff to help, but it didn’t.
It doesn’t seem to be getting better. I just always feel like I need to go out and fight something.
I have all this energy in me and can barely hold still
I think something’s changed in me.
Diluc didn’t know how to comfort his Fated. What must it feel like to always need to fight? To be filled with that type of energy?
Are you angry at something?
No! I’m not, in fact when I do give in and fight, it’s like I get a rush and keep wanting the fight to continue
mama and papa looked really scared when they saw me like that, so I tried to stop it, but I can’t
It gets worse when I don’t give in
I almost hurt Tonia once because I was so riled up
I felt so bad
I don’t know what to do, Luc
I think something changed in me during those three months
Diluc could barely focus with all the information he was getting. It was like a dam broke and all the missing information he had been asking for was overflowing.
Wait, three months?
Ajax, you were gone for three days, what do you mean three months?
oh did I say months? haha I meant days sorry, I miswrote :)
Something told Diluc that Ajax was lying, but he decided not to pursue that line of questioning since there was something more important he needed to focus on.
Well maybe you can channel that energy into something productive? I could try to go over some basic training sets we teach the knights
would that be okay? I’m not from Mond don’t you think it would be bad for me to learn?
It’s just basic strength training, nothing that’s super important or secret.
hmm… yeah maybe that’d help
Okay! Want me to write you the steps now? Diluc asked, excited that he would be able to help his Fated.
now might not be the best time, I’m traveling with my papa, but I’ll let you know when I’m ready!
Okay, I hope your trip with your Father is fun!
thanks! ♡
The next night Ajax wrote to Diluc first.
I’m joining the Fatui, so you won’t need to tell me any of the knights training.
Oh, okay. I didn’t realize you were going to join them so early. I know you had mentioned them earlier…
yeah I didn’t either, but I think my papa thought it would be better for me to join them than cause more trouble at home
Well, I hope you like it and that it helps!
Diluc tried to keep a positive attitude since it seemed like the decision to join was abrupt and one that Ajax didn’t have much say in.
He could only hope his Fated ended up liking it.
thanks. I gotta go now, I don’t know if I’ll be able to write to you as often now, so I wanted to let you know before hand so you don’t worry
Thanks for telling me, do your best and stay safe! I’m always cheering you on!
♡♡♡, was all Diluc got in response.
He laughed while running his fingers over the hearts. His Fated could be so cute sometimes.
Diluc had conflicting feelings on the matter, especially since they wouldn’t be able to contact each other as much, but he decided to wait and trust his Fated.
The morning after, Diluc looked up what information the Knights had on the Fatui. There was no harm in learning more about the organization his Fated had joined.
Surprisingly, there wasn’t that much to read. There hadn’t been much contact between the Fatui and the Knights of Favonius, so all Diluc had access to were some rumors and the little interactions the organizations had previously. That said, the interactions were two measly meetings on some trade agreements between the nations. Nothing that gave too much information.
Diluc sighed at his unsuccessful hunt for knowledge. He tried to wrack his brains for any other place he could get some details.
Diluc snapped his fingers. His father was currently home, and Diluc remembered that there was mention of talks between Snezhnaya and Mondstadt for trading the goods made by Dawn Winery.
That’s it! He could ask his father for more information!
Now that he had settled that issue, Diluc got to work, wanting to finish everything in time to go home early.
Thankfully, his work had gone smoothly, and Diluc was able to leave on time. He pretended not to notice the surprised looks he got from his subordinates when he left before the sun went down.
He quickly went to wash up before walking over to his father’s study. He knocked three times and waited for an answer.
“Come in,” his father said.
Diluc opened the door to see his father sitting at his desk looking over a bunch of papers.
“Are you busy, Father? Is it alright if I came in to ask a few questions?” Diluc asked. His father looked busy, so he didn’t want to disturb him.
His father looked up from the papers and set them down.
“No, that is all right. Come in Diluc. I was just briefly looking over some last minute things.” His father took off his glasses, and rubbed his eyes.
“Should I ask Adelinde to make you something to drink?” Diluc asked.
“No, it is almost time for dinner. I can wait until then. Thank you for offering, son,” His father replied.
“Of course, father.”
“So, what is it that you wanted to ask?”
Diluc sat down in one of the chairs in front of the desk. “I remember you mentioning that you were trying to open trade with Snezhnaya for the winery, is that still true?”
Diluc did not know much about the winery since he was busy with the knights. But he did hear tidbits from his father and Elzer.
“Yes, that is correct. I was actually just looking over some stuff about that. We were supposed to enter the nation last year, but there were some new regulations introduced which we had not been prepared for, so we had to push back our date of entry. Our aim is to send some of our stock later this year to test the waters.” His father explained.
Diluc nodded. “So that means you have some intelligence on the nation and its major organizations right?”
“Yes, that would be correct. But where are you going with this Diluc?” His father raised an eyebrow at his questioning.
“Well, actually, Ajax recently joined the Fatui, so I wanted to get some more information on them to make sure he would be okay.”
Diluc ended up telling his father the truth. He would have found out eventually anyways, so there was no reason to hide it.
“I see. The Fatui…” His father didn’t say anything for a while, seeming to be lost in thought.
“Father?” Diluc called his father’s attention back.
“Actually, there is not much I can truly tell you about their organization. Like any other nation, their intel on their military is tightly regulated. I only have superficial details to offer you.”
“That’s fine! I just wanted something to give me some ease of mind.” Diluc ended up speaking louder than he had anticipated.
He cleared his throat before proceeding, “What do we know about them?”
“Officially they are known to be a delegation of diplomats representing Snezhnaya. However,” His father looked at him and sighed softly.
“However?”
“There are a few unsavory rumors floating around about the group, particularly about their behavior in making those diplomatic contacts. Their militant force is also said to be one of the strongest in the land, and not to be trifled with. That is partly the reason we had to delay our distribution in their nation.”
“So then, that means they are not good people? But then what should Ajax do?” Diluc couldn’t help but worry for his Fated.
“Now Diluc, that intel is simply from the perspective of a citizen of Mondstadt. The citizens of Snezhnaya will surely feel differently towards their own soldiers. Is that not how it is with our Knights?”
“But no one is afraid of our Knights. In fact, many claim that the Knights of Favonius are some of the most friendly people, even in other nations!” Diluc couldn’t help but stick up for his fellow knights.
“Well, I suppose that is true,” his father laughed good-naturedly. When his father saw his expression, he stood up and walked over to Diluc.
Diluc shut his eyes as his father ruffled his hair.
“Do not worry too much. I am sure Ajax will be fine. He seems like a smart and strong boy. Do you not believe in him?”
“Of course I do! I just… worry is all,” Diluc said softly.
His father laughed again and said something about young love before walking out of the office leaving Diluc by his lonesome.
Diluc sat there a little longer, pulling up his sleeve to gaze at the three hearts still on his arm. He was glad the ink had lasted somewhat, even though the hearts were a bit faded. The good thing was, no scars had appeared all day.
That was a good sign, Diluc told himself.
He would just have to believe in Ajax like his father said and wait for his Fated to tell him how it went.
And with that issue settled in his mind, he got up and followed his father down to the dining room for dinner.

$20 to my name for the next 2 weeks. Happy Thanksgiving, woooooo...
Makes me think, though. what am I going to do in this city where the closest family all moved to Utah of all places this summer, I wonder? not in a worrisome sense but more, should I take the time to do something completely different just because I can and am alone here? meal supplements from the diet I was a part of for the past 4 months will be getting rationed out anyway, and there's a basically 4 day weekend ahead, so maybe it's time to not let myself get sucked into a depression hibernation curling into a ball "defensive" ""self-preserving"" lonely pit at home in a room I'm too overwhelmed to clean even though I know it being finally put into fucking order for real will actually fix a part of my head that's linging in the negativity this space has stored, shit radiating off of me and caking the walls like radioactive dust tuned just so to beam itself back into my honestly-doing-better-than-I-have-in-years head
so what this leaves me with is, SoCal's a big place. the sort of big where you can have an enraptured, truly spine-tinglingly goofy conversation with someone you've just met in your grocery store checkout line. something about it just makes your day, or you find a cheeky way to make their day as effortlessly as turning the page of your favorite book. for every neutral, straightforward interaction with The Public, the sort of transaction where you've already forgotten everything about them the fragment of a nanosecond after they leave the corner of your eye, these spark's-flying connections make each and every brainless interaction worth it.
All of that is lost now, and honestly I would've been hyper miserable if I was still stuck in that dead-end position panick attacking myself into paste.
alas, this 4 day weekend ahead, though. no money because of car trouble long neglected, but rent is paid. Gas tank is full. Food is hot coco-esque packets full of Nution Supplement, blended normally-5-times daily needing to be rationed until the end of the first week of december. every part of me is telling me, hunker down, promise money is coming to anyone being keened-eyed about my balance bouncing bills brought its way, drive the speed limit at 65 with Econ mode turned on for every moment cruise controlling across the entire county (18 miles each way),
oozing responsibility over the minor crisis like a well-trained platelet dispenser dripping yet another probably-definitely traumatic scab over a lingering wound that only just recently felt... under control?
and yet here I am wondering, almostly spitefully motivated to go out and do something radically different this 4-day weekend. not self-destructive, hopefully at least, but out of character of the norm in these situations of turtling up in my rat's nest and bearing beady eyes on bright screens to pass the sun from horizon to horizon like an unwanted hot potato.
why do I want to be here in a new kind of moment this thanksgiving, i wonder? I haven't decided yet, and maybe I'm scared of what I'll find if I grab ahold of this whim and let it drag me along unknown roads yet again. maybe I should do it anyway.
happy thanksgiving folks. let whatever pain these holidays might bring you fade quickly.

Hello
Hello November!!!
I am walking into this month with this sense of Excitement and I am a little afraid to say that, because I haven’t felt this way in some time about entering a month this year or even last year that I can remember.
There is also this sense of nostalgia that I am feeling that is giving me the feeling of excitement.
November has been an interesting month over the years. This year I am determined to find my joy, my light, my happiness back that has been lacking over the years.
I am focused on getting into the secret place and communioning with God and expressing my Gratitude and Gratefulness to him, as well as my Thankfulness to him for all he has done for me over the year and years.
I am focusing on my goals and aspirations for 2025, I want to walk into the year with clarity and directions versus seeking it at at the beginning of the year going in already ready to hit the year ending my hibernation season and get to the work (this doesn’t mean I am not working in the hibernation season just behind the walls of the inner place). I am focused on getting my health and body together. I have a big goal for myself of what I want to see in my outer self come my birthday in February. I am focusing on setting myself up internally and externally for what's to come in 2025. On the Hebrew calendar which is the calendar the bible goes based on we are already in the new year which is why I am in such a place spiritually for forward movement. Now in this forward movement in this new year that we have been in for a month now, I have been faced with opposition. And boy oh boy the enemy don’t want to play nice which shows me I have to stay in my prayer bag because ain’t nobody got time for that.
One thing that God has been doing lately and over the course of this year is bringing things to the surface that plays into some of the issues I am noticing that can block and hinder me from some places in my life. Places I see oh wow girl you need healing there and we need to work on this and that and etc. and at times i am like wow I didn’t know that was there or that affected me in that way. When he is preparing you for something such as a major shift in life he leaves nothing unturned that may negatively affect what he is bringing you to. That’s what's so awesome about God is how he prepares you for the assignment, for the blessing, for the new that you are heading into. No detail is too small for him.
One thing I am getting back to is being present in the now, while yet hoping and daydreaming to the positive for the future but not staying there and making an idol of the future. Enjoying life where it is presently.
Monday - 11/4/24
Sitting at work and I am done with my morning things for work and I have a lot on my mind that I want to share
1st 10/17/24 made 2 yrs for me being here at my current job and this is not what I envisioned. You couldn’t have told me I would be here for 2yrs like WTF. Anyhow I knew from when I started I was on assignment, my prayer now is okay God when is this assignment up.
So needless to say I am on the hunt for a new job . Once I have secured the new job I will tell you all about where I currently work and the pros and cons of it.
Figuring out what I want to do next is the hardest for me. I am no longer a city girl so I am torn about what is next career wise. In my dream I would love to plan and design small intimate events and celebrations full time while doing some farming and gardening. I want to work in a small town. The only thing about where I live is I live in the south and in the rural area of the south you still have heavy racism and I am well aware of that being from the south so that makes me apprehensive. But nevertheless I won’t allow fear to hold me back. I am more so in a place of okay in this area God what are we doing next? That’s my prayer as I close the year out because I need change before I enter this new year.
Tuesday Nov 5, 2024
9:08am
Happy Tuesday! Sitting at work (of course) and I am done with my assignments for the morning and just waiting on my first break so that I can go get me a cinnamon roll from the gas station.
But since sitting here I began to search for the next just seeing what is catching my eye, as well as looking in a new direction. Wow typing that out the words sounded in my head and it’s pivotal for me. That is what I have been doing looking at things in the wrong direction. WOW clarity!!!!
Only the Holy Spirit can do that.
And that didn’t even hit me while searching for what I am in search for or even looking at the location but when i spoke as to what i was doing it hit me then. Funny how when you just begin to do, God will show up and confirm if you are correct in your actions.
This morning has been a good morning despite the gloomy weather. I just hate that I didn't make my breakfast and coffee before leaving for work.
I am on this process and discipline to get back to getting to work on time, meaning waking up earlier than I have been. I can't petition God for something new and etc and I am not stewarding what he has entrusted to me well.
So yea I plan to wake up earlier each week so when December comes it’s a habit and not a push.
But back to today, I woke up in a good place today, my clothes for today fit me and I am happy with how I look today. I can’t wait for lunch to get my Subway. I love sandwiches.
Let’s see what else is on my mind, OH I am thinking about not doing Youtube, or using it for the hosting of my videos, but I am not sure if I really want to vlog like that and have to edit. However I do want to capture my life via video and share it with my writing. I want you to be able to read and see my life. One thing I do know for sure is that one of my assignments is to share my life so that the light of God shines and is an inspiration to others of life with Christ. And I must do this in my authenticity and true realness.  This writing and sharing is one of the ways he has given me to share, as well as capturing photos and videos in moments, rather it be what catches the eye, a song, what i am doing, eating, interested in, life's highs and lows, the beauty and the not so cute. All of it speaks to God’s Love, Grace, Mercy in my life, my life being a laying down and surrender will to him.
So yea…. Here we are, day 7 into hibernation season for me and today is a pivotal day for me. MAN GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!
Oh wait, let me tell y’all about last night with LCCN and this new study we are doing for the month of NOVEMBER. We are studying “Mother & Daughter Wounds”, from Dr. Anita at Woman Evolve this year. And last night was the first night and we started with learning about where mother wounds began, what we all need “Connection- Value-Love”, and then the types of mother wounds beginning with 1. Personality (which she gave a whole breakdown to that), then 2.
But to think yesterday was Monday for me and i just wanted to lay in bed and watch vlogs, but God was like nope you are logging on and i am so glad that i did also! He knew I needed to be in the room. Such a good, good Father.
So lunch was a FAIL… from subway to zaxbys… I just need to bring my own lunch. For some reason, I want some chick fil a, a milkshake, and ride around and enjoy the fall scenery
I am ready to cook dinner. I am making cheeseburgers, fries and a martini lol.
Checking back in to close out this entry. It is now Thursday 11/7/24, I am here at work.
The day is off to a great start. I have had some awesome times with the Holy Spirit.
I made those burgers and fries on Tuesday. And both were amazing, I had wine instead of the Martini. Wednesday I decided I need a mental breather day and so I called into work out. I knew I had time to cover the day and I just needed to breathe mid-week which is sometimes necessary to you giving your best. And yesterday was amazing in so many ways. God does not fail at all.
And I know yesterday there were a lot of emotions, confusion, misunderstanding, let downs and so many other feelings etc, and everyone is entitled to feel how they feel. I pray that God brought comfort to all that had many emotions and feelings with the news and results yesterday.
I have an exciting weekend ahead and I HAVE MONDAY OFF 🙌🏾, so I am looking forward to all my weekend activities from Friday to Sunday and BIG Chilling on Monday!
Okay I pray that everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and until the next time. If you made it this far reading WOW You are amazing and I love you dearly! 😘🥰
Remember always: 1 Chronicles 16:34: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever
 xoxo love always

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you! Get to know your mutuals and followers :3
Thank you!!! ^^
Today was a really warm and sunny day, and most of the snow has melted away SO FAST that it's starting to look and feel like spring finally. And about time, it's already almost mid April, and the spring is very late. I was still snowing last week! But soon all this should be over and the proper spring should be here again, I cannot wait.
The sunny day and springtime-feeling air + listening to die ärzte in the car is always the definition of spring to me. I haven't listened to music in general much in a long time, but yesterday felt like a dä + spring day, and I put on 'auch' in my car and I love that album but it's been ages since it sounded THAT good. I am happy that this music happiness is back again from the hibernation.
My New Rock shoes. I have owned them for 13 years now. I took them to a shoemaker just to get a few seams and decorations fixed, and I'll be getting them back today. Those shoes are my favourite clothing item I own, and they are literally 13 years old and only a few seams were worn out. They look as good as new after cleaning them up. I can't wait to wear them again soon, cos they just look so damn good and I love them <3
CATS. ALWAYS CATS. I don't have my own but my parents have three of them, and it's always nice to visit them cos the cats love it when me and my brother go there. They always greet us and usually start their zoomies soon after because they just get so excited, and they want to play with us, be brushed and one of them has grown so affectionate by age that almost every time he will find a nice spot on the sofa to sleep right next to me when we're watching TV.
School. I'm working on a video project for school, and I'm finally in my actual element. Even tho it's a bit more challenging with ADHD, once I find the flow-mode, I'm unstoppable. I've got so many ideas for it, and I hope the others will approve what I end up creating for those. I'll be working on those the whole April and May, but it's fine. I've prepared, and I have free weeks and I can follow my own natural sleeping schedule and work on those videos when it's the best time of the day for me. And it's been working out really well. I'm actually ahead of my schedule and deadlines, which is rare, but also a really good feeling. I hope I manage to do the same with the rest of the videos. (Usually I am good with deadline, I just tend to make everything ready on the last minute - except for now!)

“Adrien made Kagami realize she’s a lesbian because she was not attracted to him” is boring and overdone.
Kagami made Adrien realize she’s a lesbian because she called him her “boyfriend” and he flinched and she was like “oh shoot what’s wrong” and he was like “i dont know, boyfriend is a really weird word for some reason” And because she’s Kagami, instead of being like “oh he clearly doesn’t want me” she just sat him down immediately and started googling Other Words and trying All of Them, and then she tried “do you want to be my girlfriend?” on a whim and he was like “holy shit this has awoken something in me.” And then kagami was like “oh huh i may be a lesbian.”
