i rlly rlly rlly love benson obsessing over randy. at first hes just another kid that works there. but over time he notices him, how pathetic he is, how weak he is. how he looks right into your eyes when he talks to you, pupils dilated with fear like a scared animal. his fidgeting, his shallow breathing. benson watches him like a hawk. he convinces himself hes just intrigued by him. he starts to think about him outside of work. wonders what hes doing. what music he likes. what does his skin feel like? he almost smacks himself. "you fucking disgust me" he'd mutter to himself in the mirror. he washes his hands, scrubs them till theyre sore. it gets worse. he feels randy under his skin. he hears his voice in his head. he cant even look at the color blue without wanting to punch something. he fucking hates him.
he wants to split him open. he wants to kiss him. he wants to tell him to man the fuck up. he wants to hold him. he wants to fix him. he wants to see him cry. he wants to ruin him. he wants to save him.

if trc was a visual medium and I was a tiktoker i would go insane talking about quiet luxury and how Declan and Adam both fall into this position of people with OBJECTIVELY less money compared to their peers and how both of them are trying to replicate luxury (ie: clothing=persona/identity) to varying levels of success. adam wears old gifts from the ganseys and declan is very clearly called out by other characters to be overcompensating. neither are fully seamless and even though thats not an overt plot point it is DEFINITELY very significant since plenty of their story beats echo each other down to their relationship with ronan, who is a different fashion debate (eg. how punk can you get off of a bank account you dont need to look at and a shaved head which needs to be constantly maintained and a BMW you stole w no repurcussion). again I DO think stief implies fascinating plot points that she doesn't focus on but her display of class and economic variation is very very cool & obviously people w more context of specific USAmerican culture can have this debate better than I can
editing to link the video that finally helped me put this thought into words

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...
.
.
.
" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.
"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.
Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

Tomura, taking off Father: See this face?
Tomura: Take a good, long look.
Tomura: Because this is the face that didn’t listen to a word you just said.

this is the one and only thing I will say about the Neil Gaiman situation: I believe that the allegations might be true. I hope they're not for the sake of everyone involved, but I won't just dismiss the potential victims and I won't try to idealise Neil. Never have, never will.
BUT.
If yall use this to drag the name of a trans ally and a dead fucking man through the mud because they simply worked with Neil, and take that collaboration to AUTOMATICALLY and CERTAINLY mean that they too are somehow aware of what he did and responsible for it, then I sincerely think you're a horrible person. And also I sincerely believe you don't care about the victims and are using this just to shit on random people you don't like by taking advantage of a happenstance connection.
Also if you use this to drag Tennant specifically, I will automatically assume you're transphobic as well, because it's very interesting that the allegations came out through a right wing TERF podcast and are being used to drag a very outspoken trans ally who is not the one to have actually done anything.
