ok so i called myself the unofficial head of this ship (lol) but actually looking through the tumblr tag i must denounce myself and crown @nyoomfruits instead bc she has been on it from day 1
max and oscar are just so similar i think they get each other!! they're both very down to earth and very focussed on the job. both of them hailed as extraordinary in lower formulas and quickly making their way up (ofc max's was very quick and oscar had his year out, but still all things considered). i feel like a lot of it is max being surprised about oscar, i dont think he expected that deadpan energy/serious but enjoying it/quick wit from him and now hes like oh i see, i get it. maybe also helps how much lando gets along with oscar and max obvs likes lando. trusts his opinion.

like i said on the oscar discord too, i think oscar would indulge max's maxplaining!! he enables it and is like "Huh, I never thought about it like that. Have you considered that [x]" and then suddenly its 11pm and everyone else has left the paddock before they even look up from their convo

Sakura gets a second point for being the first to complete the tree climbing at being better at chakra control, but at the same time it just feels like she was made good at it so no extra training segment time would have to be put into her getting good at it and it can be all about Sauce and Nart. Idk that feels too pessimistic but also could totally be true.

I wish I was better at gift giving. I feel like I have to be under someone's skin and living in their ribcage to know what they actually want. And even then, I feel like it's never enough.
#stuff sarah says#i think my expectations might be too high too#and i wish i could give people the world. but alas. i work at a grocery store#i also love giving practical gifts. i want them to be used or enjoyed#but i think people are always okay with them. i think im just insecure#its also hard bc me and my friends are all struggling 20-somethings and early 30-somethings#and unfortunately serotonin or a stable housing market dont comply with usps shipping qualifications...#i also think its bc i think im a hard person to give gifts too#if you ask me what i want it usually is smth like 'a bullet to the head' or 'a new brain'#and again. hard to wrap those#but im also easy to gift give bc i love the thoughts behind the gifts more than the gift itself usually#thats what makes me feel the warm fuzzies#you could get me a rock and a handwritten note about why you love me and id start sobbing#you give me a car and ill feel guilt for twenty years. like.#its the thoughts i like. not the thing itself. the homemade birthday cards from my little cousins were always my fave gift from them#i was so sad i didnt get any this year actually.
