also me: blacks out and writes a fucking 1400+ word thesis on the writing formula stranger things uses for relationships and how all of the canon relationships inform the progression of the others while also progressively subverting the formula, and how from a structural perspective nancy’s relationships with jonathan and steve were written as a love triangle with an obvious outcome for the first 3 seasons and it’s s4 that places them into a state of ambiguity whereas mike’s relationships with el and will were written as a love triangle with an ambiguous outcome for the first 3 seasons and it’s only in s4 that the scale has been tipped firmly in byler’s favour, and how the things mike says about his relationship with el are continually shown to contradict his actions and thus his true feelings and are instead used as a conduit to express his feelings for will whereas the things he says about his relationship with will are continually shown to align with his actions and true feelings which ties into my pervious theory about how m’leven’s relationship is built on them continuously lying to one another, and how robin coming out was a shock because it showed that an unexpectedly queer character can offset the assumed trajectory of a relationship that follows the formula, and how-

29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?

I draw my inspiration from things I encounter - films I watch, songs I listen to, books I read and so on. (Also uwuxie's art)

When the inspiration runs dry I talk to my friends ❤ the amount of cool, silly ideas that morph into heart-breaking ones I just cannot wait to write is astounding. I am very grateful to have met so many awesome creative people on my way who tolerate me and my way-too-many-arms-to-write 🥺🥺🥺

Tee-hee, haven’t posted in a week because Christmas and stuff- and finals were happening a while ago and god I just need to unwind. Literally played MW3 for 12 hours straight Monday. I started 4 WIPs, finished none- but I swear I’ll wrangle those brain worms into posts eventually.
