Yourusername I am very bittersweet to announce that this will be my last season in Formula 1. While I am very happy that I have gotten this opportunity, and while I still really enjoy it. Sun 7th Jan

Another busy busy day! Matt and I walked Mags together this morning bc we both had so much to do the rest of the day. We saw a couple of Maggie's friends and their owner was like woooah you two are never out together! It's always nice when we do both get out. When we got back I started straight on with housework and laundry as I didn't get it all done yesterday, then went grocery shopping. Made egg muffins for breakfasts just for something different, and had a couple of those with some fruit for a quick lunch before going out for a run.

Went a different way than usual bc we walked on the other side of the river from my usual route last week and the path is much less prone to puddles and mud slides, so it was nice not to have to worry about that! Plodded along at a nice steady pace for about 6.5K. By 5K my legs were heavy so I'm glad I didn't go exploring any further before turning around! This run was harder than I want to admit but I'm glad I got out. All I want is to get more consistent at showing up. The aim currently is just to try to get out once a week, even if I can only manage 20 mins, there are loads of different routes I can do from my house so there's no reason I couldn't nip out for a quick one. I love running and now I have a stable job with fixed hours I want to build it back into my routine. Once the days are longer maybe I can consider adding a second run after work but right now once each weekend would be great. I was looking back through my nike app on my cool down and I used to run like 3x a week back before I started working at the store. One day I'll get back to that 💪

Cleaned inside the car in the last bit of daylight when I got home, stretched, and made a big batch of veggie soup for lunches this week. I am going to eat a small dinner even though I didn't plan on eating anything else today, because I always get very hungry after climbing class.

~ 23:44 ~ I finished exercising for the day, and just had my salad for dinner. I sttetched a bit, went on my 10 minute run circuit, did my stretching routine, did a short strength corcuit consistent of 30 push-ups, 30 lounges, and 1 minutes headstand.

The strength circuit was very difficult without any energy left from food, but I still managed.

Then I stretched and made myself the salad.

Now I feel like if I touched my bed I could fall asleep instantly.

✧That being said!! Calibri definitely has access to Napstaton’s official social media and posts the worst things imaginable on his professional account. It’s always like low res images of Goku with captions like “shidded” and then nothing else.

✧Like, his inferiority complex has only gotten worse with age (He’d be about 19-21 in our future au) To be honest, he’s a total basket case that really wants to change, but is too scared to put in the effort.

✧Expanding on that; he’s been fired from pretty much every single job he’s had until Napstaton gave him a job at his record store/radio station.

✧He asked Trajan to be his trip sitter one time, but as soon as the shrooms hit he got terrified of Trajan’s four eyes and locked himself in the laundry room.

✧He and Hapstablook love to cook together!! He also cooks with Sans too, but it can get to be a really exhausting couple of hours trying to wrangle him into actually cooking the taco meat. So Calibri really values his time with Hapstablook cause it’s usually just a very sweet and calming experience.

✧The bandana in my new design for him is from his uncle Sans 🫶 he has like, a million and wanted Calibri to match with him.

✧He’d rather die than cut his hair.

✧Calibri’s style now leans more into a hippie-punk kinda look, mainly cause he aligns himself with most of the ideals of both subcultures.

As we students approach final exam season, there are a few things I would like to say to help us get through this stressful time:

1. Manage your time well and create an effective schedule.

Whether it's preparing for final exams or working on final projects or papers, the amount of material covered may seem daunting at first, but don't worry. Take it step by step. Plan ahead and see how much time you think you would need to prepare for an exam or complete an assignment. From there, prioritize them.

For example, programming projects require a lot of brainpower, and I'm a morning person, so I may dedicate most of my morning and afternoon to working on them. On the other hand, gen ed assignments may not require as much deep and analytical thinking, so I may save those more towards the evening.

2. Form a study group.

Before coming to college, my parents frequently told me about the importance of having a study team or a group of peers or friends with whom I can study or work with. Now in my 3rd year, I can't agree more. College courses are faster paced, and the expectations for self-teaching are definitely a lot either. Thus, especially when it comes to preparing for large exams or working on big projects, having a study group with whom you can exchange study techniques with and information can definitely make you feel less stressed in the long run.

3. Don't forget to take care of yourself.

Especially during this stressful time, the importance of ample sleep and healthy meals can't be overstressed. Have a consistent sleep schedule, make sure you're getting 7-8 hours of sleep a day, and make sure you're getting enough nourishment throughout the day 🍇🍈🍉🍊🍌

Hey! This is a great question and I’m going to apologize in advance because it’s going to be a LONG answer! Mostly because I think this is a great way to shed some light on just more “regular” type circumstances for art jobs things! But I hope I can answer this question sufficiently!! 🙏💖

Okay - so I don’t feel comfortable saying how much I make (I’m superstitious that if I share it in a public space it will be dashed IMMEDIATELY) but I can definitely talk about logistics!

So to preface everything with the simple answer: I DO make enough now to have a living! It’s a SMALL living, but I’m able to focus just on my artwork for now! Which is honestly still wild to me and I AM waiting for the rug to be pulled out from underneath me at any given moment (I am throwing some salt over my shoulder as we speak, just in case)

Now I just want to talk about some general insight points about my current situation/how I got to this current situation:

I have only JUST been able to move out (I’m 28 now)

I live in a shared apartment with my friend (fate was SO on our side and this has been a whirlwind 2.5 months omg)

I have student loans to pay off ($400/month! Gross!) on top of rent/life payments. If you’re in this boat, always keep it in mind!

For 7 years after college, I was working on art (commissions, personal, etc) and also working “part time” (30+ hr work weeks so lmao not really but for employer-benefit reasons 🙄) This is for 7 years after school! It took a bit to get here!

I only had to pay a small rent when I was living at home so while it took 7 years (underpaid, family circumstances, physical/mental health woo!) I WAS able to save enough to move out

most days I can still hardly believe I’m here @ w @;; and it’s a constant working process to figure out how to stay here as well! I work 8-10 hour days, 6 days a week. 

And if you’re like me, I don’t come from money, so my parents aren’t in a position to help and I have student loan debt. This has informed a lot of my adult life!

That said, I have been lucky to be in a family with a steady lower-middle class income AND ALSO in a pretty stable/functional family situation so that I was able to move back home for a while to save a bit of money. Not everyone has those circumstances to plan financially! But if you come from a more secure/affluent financial background, some of this might not apply to you - which is fine too.

My advice would be to first and foremost make a budget list for yourself (love my google sheets! I have MULTIPLE budget lists lmao) 

Make a budget list that covers what you would NEED to earn each month. And then from there, make a sheet that shows what you DO earn each month from art!

Try to track that income for at least 3-4 months of steady work!

If those numbers continue to meet up, then I would say that’s a green light!

If they don’t meet up - maybe look into some part time stuff! Which, like I said before, can be REALLY solid. And it’s always solid at least for a steady line of income, which is great! 💪✨

And remember to treat your job like a JOB! Clock in and clock out! It’s just a job! Not your life! Keep doing you! 💖 Too many times have I given 100% on jobs when it really should be like 80%! Save your energy for yourself too!

And if you are able, think about moving back home. Saving money is ALWAYS a solid choice. Give yourself some time to figure shit out and get your ducks in a row. 

I’m only able to do what I can now because I lived at home for 7 years and worked pretty non stop! (working in the morning to afternoon at my first job, coming home doing chores, and then working from 8-11 on art) 

BUT, always know, that we are NOT the same person!! You’re going to have a different path from me and so will many others! But in case you wanted a general picture of my circumstance, I’m hope this helped!

And as always, do NOT feel pressured by my advice here! 

Advice is just to help INFORM your OWN decisions! Never to make them for you! 💖

I feel like I both talked about A LOT and I’m ABSOLUTELY missing something from here! 🤔 So I apologize for such a novel! 

But if you or anyone else reading this thinks of a question about this type of stuff, let me know! I try to be pretty transparent about this since I feel like I’ve only seen a lot of advice from people not with students debt so it’s always been a little frustrating 😔💦

You and Josiah lived together in a nice house. You two were both well off with your jobs. Today was boring, both of you were home for the day and you did nothing but lay in your bed. Josiah was on his Xbox playing his games like usual. He was obsessed with call of duty and CSGO, you thought it was funny how he would occasionally yell at the screen, basically raging. You didn't really understand it, but it's whatever, right?

After a few hours of this, Josiah got tired of playing and took off his headset. He stood up and stretched like a cat, you even heard some of his joints crack. He turned off his console and walked over to you, still laying down and playing on your phone. He lays ontop of you, putting all of his weight on you, his warm hand was rubbing your back.

"Are you okay?" He asks, "Yep, just bored that's all.." you reply nonchalantly. You put your phone down and turn your head towards him. His calm, dark, and droopy eyes stared into yours. Breaking the silence, you say, "you know, I've been wanting to go to the mall lately but haven't had the chance, wanna go with me?" "Hm? Sure." He replies. You smile at him and got up out of the bed, Josiah sits up aswell and rubs his eyes. You go to your closet, picking out some clothes to wear.

Once you're done picking out your clothes, you go to the bathroom and start undressing, you forgot to lock the door so Josiah walks in. "Hey! Get out I'm changing" you say while laughing. He walks up to you and kisses you on the forehead, then walks out without a word. Once you're changed, you spray on your favorite (purfume/cologne/scent) and your favorite (lotion/body cream/body shimmer/body butter)

You walk out and see Josiah sitting on the bed, playing on his phone. He's been waiting for you to get done, when you walk out of the bathroom, he looks up and says, "ready to go?" You nod and he gets up, putting his phone in his pocket and walks out with you.

(This is yall's car because you guys are just rich like that 💪)

You guys get in and you connect your Bluetooth to the radio. While you guys are driving, you have the window down with your elbow resting on it, enjoying the fresh air. You loved car trips, it felt nice getting out of your house. Josiah held your hand and rubbed your thighs the whole ride. Time went by and you guys were almost at the mall, you could barely contain your excitement. "I can't wait! I've been needing to get new clothes!" "Hmm.. have you really?" Josiah says sarcastically. You gently punch him arm, jokingly and say "shut up".

"YES! WE'RE HERE!" you quickly get out of the car, but then stop, realizing that there were barely any cars in the parking lot. Were they closed? No way, it was only 7 and they closed at 10. You even checked your phone. What? I don't think today is special or a holiday..

"Hey, c'mon let's go."

"Huh? Oh yeah, right. Sorry haha.." you say nervously. You guys walk in and it was suspiciously quiet. The only thing you could hear was the song on the radio echoing throughout the large building. What? Where is everyone?

"So, where do you wanna head first?" Josiah asks suddenly. "Uh... let's go to Banana Republic" it was your favorite clothing store since the quality was great. You guys head towards the escalator because the store was on the second floor. "Why is it so empty? Usually it's packed in here.." Josiah didn't respond, which worried you. Once you stepped off the escalator, you looked at him. His expression was grim, his face was more dull than usual. He finally spoke, saying, "Oh, I dunno.. maybe it's just not busy today.." you nod and chuckle anxiously. Josiah noticed this and firmly grabbed your arm, but then loosened it. "Dude, chill out it'll be okay, I'm here with you."

You guys walk into the store and all of your worry washed away, you were fascinated with the choices you had. Josiah just wandered around with you and followed you like a lost puppy. Once you got what you wanted you tried walking up to the counter but no one was around. "Josiah, what do I do? I don't want to steal these.." "it's fine, there isn't even any cameras around here." You looked around and he was right, there were no cameras. "Okay.. I guess we can just go then.." you guys walk out and Josiah asks "Soo uh.. where to now captain?" You look around and at this point, you weren't really sure where you wanted to go. For some reason all of your excitement faded and you felt numb. You zoned out so Josiha waves his hand infront of your face "(Name/Nickname)?" You shook your head "Sorry, we can go wherever you want. I got what I came for.." "hmm okay, well let's just wander around then." You nod your head, agreeing with him. "Heh, hey, let's go steal some food from the food court. You know, while we walk around." "Uhh I don't know.." "It'll be harmless I promise, c'mon" and he drags you to the escalator.

Everything felt like it was in slow motion, you didn't even realize what song was playing on the radio. It was "Flashing Lights" by Kayne West, it was a pretty good song in your opinion. But it was unexpected for it to be playing through the speakers of a mall.

🎵"As I recall, I know you love to show off, but I never thought that you would take it this far. What do I know?"🎵

You and Josiah were holding hands and you laid your head on his shoulder, he smelled like fresh cotton. You kissed him on the neck and the hand that was holding yours tightened its grip a bit.

You get off and head towards the food court. You guys jumped over the counters and got whatever you wanted, after a while you starting to enjoy yourself. Maybe it wasn't so bad, just you and Josiah.

You guys skipped in the mall and went wherever you guys wanted. Josiah went to GameStop and stole a bunch of games, his excitement made you happy. You're glad to be with such a cute little geek.

This moment felt great, but you really had to use the bathroom. You told Josiah that you were going to use the restroom, but he wanted to come along to make sure you were safe. You sighed and agreed, knowing he would just do it anyways. The hallways that the bathrooms were in had an ominous vibe. The lights flickered and the music seemed so distant. Suddenly you saw a quick flash with blood splattered on the wall, you let out a little yelp out of surprise. "What's wrong?" Josiah asks worryingly "nothing, I just saw something.. it's fine haha" you say this with sweat starting to appear on your forehead.

While you're in the bathroom, you think about what you saw. Even though it was brief, you saw everything and it was strange. After all, there was nobody left in the mall. Oh god.. what if they had been killed and the killer is in here with us? No way, that's crazy.. I'm just imagining this.. what I saw was not real..

You walk out of the bathroom and Josiah immediately grabs your hand and walks quickly. You thought something happened so you ask "hey! What's wrong?? Why are we going so fast?" He looks at you and he looks nervous, this was all so confusing. "Oh nothing's wrong.. it's almost closing time so I thought we might as well head out, haha.." you check your phone and it was 9:50. He was right, it was almost time to leave.

Without saying anything, you guys walk out to your car, with your things in hand. Although that trip was odd, you enjoyed being with Josiah and you got stuff for free. You looked back at the mall and all of the lights were off, with no cars in sight. You stop and stare. "Where... where did the cars go?" You ask "uhh.. we didn't see anyone in there so I don't know.."

The rest of the ride was uncomfortable because of the mall, but Josiah looks apologetic for some weird reason. What was that look for? "Hey man, I'm sorry if I uh, spooked you.." "I didn't mean to" "no it's fine, I didn't mind. I'm just tired that's all" you reply.

Josiah leans over to kiss you in the cheek, he says sorry again and continues driving. To make it less awkward, he turned up the volume on the radio. It was fine for a while, however while he was driving, you saw that flash again. This time, Josiah was covered in blood and his face was terrifying. He looked angry, this tired eyes were bloodshot and black. Your eyes widened when everything went back to normal. You looked around and saw nothing, Josiah was calm as ever. But considering those experiences, it made you think.
