A silly little idea I had yesterday has become this convoluted unrequited love story that has infected my brain - basically this is Val (Gastina kid) and Carene (Simbar kid), and Val has had a crush on Carene since they were kids. Carene doesn't feel the same but wants to "save him" since that's what Simón did for Ámbar (Carene has massive 'not-as-good-as-my-parents' anxiety). I needed angst for the story because that is my specialty and I figured it out literally just today and I love them.

I really want to write something for this AU but I don't have a coherent enough plot yet so expect a lot of rambling from me. This is what happens when I make OCs the fixation is festering

Long Update!

|| tl;dr: I hem and haw about my busy life and lack of posting content! ||

So, as I've been saying, life is getting super busy with me right now with work and lack of time at home for anything but decompressing. I will not be able to post like I was! I'm pretty sad about it, but I don't want to over do myself and end up struggling to write (I'm sort of doing it now). These things happen and I fall into cycles like this. It's just what I do.

To remedy the issue of burnout and overexertion I would like to be posting much slower, but with hopefully higher quality content. That means that, should I answer asks in my inbox, they may be smaller/shorter drabbles (which hopefully means I can post them on tumblr instead of Ao3), while saving the big stuff for the weekends. It's funny because "drabbles" are supposed to be only 100 words long. I use that term loosely to mean "short" fics. Think one-shots or mini-shots. It's where the username comes from (drabble + megatron).

Anyway, the point I'm making is that I can either do a bunch of little things and be social or I can focus on big things and be absent. I don't feel I am capable of both. I just have too much going on right now. At the same time, I love interacting with everyone here and I love the engagement. It's how I've been able to make friends! (lookin at a few of yall rn!)

I also have a lot of scraps of writing in my drafts that I'm getting a little sick of looking at, if I'm being honest here. I'm probs just going to empty all of those out and get it over with. Who knows, you guys might like them (as if I haven't been saying that for a week or two now lol)!

I'm unsure why I can't just part with my drafts though lol! I feel like a little hoarder sometimes because I keep deluding myself into thinking "this is going to be some super awesome mega-fic one day" and it's literally just two lines of dialogue of characters dirty talking lolololol!

Really there's so many things I would like to work on, like a dating sim! I have so much of it planned out, but learning ren'py is a slow process due to lack of time and dedication. I have an entire Trello board and a few plot points and even a character list with little outlines and some dates. I want to share it, but I know that once I do share all of it, it can kill my drive to work on it lol. It's a whole "move in silence" thing and whatnot, sorta how I feel about Golden Boy and The Pot and The Kettle.

It's super late as I write this, so I'm kinda tired, but I wanted to get this out there for anyone who wants to read this. It's sorta like a little diary entry for me lol!

hello, my lovely people!! it’s your favourite mon here (not that you know any other mon, obviously) with a little life update!

I’m officially done with my 2nd year — please shower me with congratulations because it's been a journey 😭😭 I only have one essay left (thankfully it’s about Korean feminist literature, so it should be easy).

So! Summer holidays have begun for me, and as we’re approaching the end of Finding Our Way Back, I wanted to drop in and say hi! You’ve probably noticed that ever since I started keeping up with FOWB updates, I stopped posting anything else, which brings me to this little update/post.

We’re getting closer to the end of FOWB, and once it's wrapped up, I’ll be focusing more on Discovering Us. I know some of you might be surprised (or even a little disappointed) by this direction. I always considered myself more of an “x reader” writer, so me shifting to a Woosan story might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay! Just a gentle reminder: I’m writing what brings me joy, and I hope some of you will come along for the ride!

As for one-shots and requests (especially the 1-year anniversary fics and the 500 followers special) — I’m not planning to post any in the near future. July is shaping up to be a super busy month for me! Next week I’m flying out of my home country to visit my best friend (so excited 🥹💖), which means I probably won’t have much time to write. That’s why I’ve been working like crazy right now to make sure you guys still get updates while I’m away. I’ll have a queue all set up so you won’t be left starving for updates while I’m on holiday! After that, I’m heading to a music festival to see J-hope like… please, I'll see him after 6 long years, I'll cry my eyes out. Then I’ve got two more trips lined up — yes, a chaotic month ahead 😭

But in August, I’ll probably get back to posting one-shots and drabbles again! So if you’ve been waiting on those, hang in there just a little longer — I appreciate your patience so much! 🥺 I promise the wait will be worth it!

Oh! And a few months back, I posted a sneak peek of The Reaper, my upcoming Jongho fic! It’s very different from FOWB, and the theme might feel a bit controversial to some. But if you're a fellow Jongho stan (or just curious), I hope you’ll give it a shot when the time comes! I’ll probably get started on The Reaper sometime in the middle of Discovering Us. Even though it’s been sitting in my drafts for over a year now, I still need to work out a few things with the plot before it’s ready.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? I'm a but a wee babe in the ao3 world so just 7 but I have several WIP's that are on pause currently. I had originally had a fic planned for each day of Eris week but haven't been able to write in awhile so might be some time before those are published but once I start posting again you can expect Eris chaos to reign.

Shadows of Regret and Redemption| Azris - My first published work. A oneshot that grew legs and started to run. I am not completely happy with it thus far but I have the end plotted and I'm excited to eventually bring that to life.

Daughter of Autumn | Azris - Now this one absolutely shocked me with its popularity. Started as a fun little drabble for Gwyn Week 2024 and of course turned into Azris central.

The Beginning and End of Friendship | Azris - So many people screaming in the comments at me on this one. More screaming to come when I post part two I’m sure.

Two Souls Entangled| Azris - A tiny part of my soul via a short poem for Azris Week 2024.

Heaven Help the Fool Who Falls In Love: The End | Azris - This is the first piece I wrote for fanfiction and it is my precious baby. Only one chapter posted but I have several in need of editing before I publish the remainder. It's very heavy and I haven't had the mental space to read through it again.

5. Do you respond to comments? Every single one! They bring me so much joy. I have currently stayed away from my comment section for my own mental health but when I start posting again I will get back to everyone's comments, promise.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? All of my works are fairly heavy on the angst. TBaEoF comes to mind but I think for published works I’ll go with The Ending of Darkness which is a short little piece about @jules-writes-stories OC Mithras x Sylvan which I have a part 2 almost completed which is equally as angsty (sorry). Unpublished works definitely The Burning of Leaves and The Death of Shadows which are two fics I had planned for Eris week but are currently on pause (poor Eris I was really putting him through the wringer for Eris Week).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Daughter of Autumn. Mostly because Cassian has the closing line and he just always says the darndest things.

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have not, nor do I plan on it. Please don’t hate me 😅 Just not my writing jam. I love finding unique ways to explore a relationship and conveying those same emotions and feelings without the smut. That being said some of my favourite stories and authors use smut as such a wonderful exploratory storytelling device and it is delightful. I love reading others contributions to the smutsphere. So so many talented writers out there giving us all our smuttiest dreams. I truly do not think that my smut contribution is even necessary when you have things like To Become a Vanssera by @acourtofladydeath and Why Not Me by @thomasisaslut both absolutely rife with smut and use it beautifully to convey their story (albiet in very different ways).

9. Do you write crossovers? Not yet, and probably not ever because I can hardly keep up with writing ideas I have for one fandom.

10. Have you ever had a fic translated? No.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but it sounds delightful.

12. What is your all-time favorite ship? Azris most definitely for writing. I definitely have a big soft spot for Samwise and Rosie from LOTR (my husband is Samwise reincarnated and I am irrevocably in love with him). I have a WIP for Thesan and his lover and that dynamic and storyline has been so incredibly fun to explore as well.

13. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I started writing a Tarquin UTM oneshot that is incomplete and while I am still in love with the story I really struggled with writing the voice of Tarquin. This one will only ever get finished if I can finally figure out the right tone for this man’s internal dialogues.

14. What are your writing strengths? I have been told my writing reads like poetry which is one of the biggest compliments you could ever give me. I also love writing parallels but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement there.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?  Editing haha. But actually, I find that my characters voices don’t feel very distinct and that there is a lot of overlap in the way they speak and think and it can be hard to distinguish who’s talking/thinking. I feel like my characters resemble a cookie cutter suburban neighborhood where the walls and trim might be a different colour but they’re all built exactly the same. If anyone has some tips please feel free to comment or message me!

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I absolutely love reading it but unfortunately the only other language I know isn’t really a language at all. Pidgin, which is basically just native slang. I was playing around with it in my Tarquin fic a bit but seemed a tad too niche.

17. First fandom you wrote for? LOTR in middle school. I have a printed multi chapter booklet that is a rewrite of Sam and Frodo’s journey through Mordor that I made for my English class one year.

18. Favorite fic you’ve written? My favourite multi chapter by another author is undoubtedly A Court of Shadows and Ashes by @futurehunt Mother Save Us From Your Twisted fate by @chunkypossum which got a stunning part 2 for Eris Week this year! My favorite of my own published works is either HHtFWFiL:TE or The Ending of Darkness. Of my unpublished works honesty The Burning of Leave or The Death of Shadows are both strong contenders. For non Azris I have a Beron fic WIP for @sjmvillainweek day 1 that will probably get prioritized over the other two.

I have a question. For your unfinished fics that you have been posting bits and bobs here, do you have a plan (or maybe how much of a plan do you have) or do you just write whatever comes to mind and see where the scene takes you?

so it leans more towards having a plan than just writing whatever comes to mind, but it's definitely a bit of a mix. most of my wips are breakup to eventual reconciliation, so there is an end goal to get to, but the way I get there and what I have planned differs a lot.

I got back into writing right around the same time I renewed my interest in story structures in (screen)writing and I've been combining the two quite a bit. this means I generally have an idea of what story beats I want to hit, but I don't have them all filled out yet for most wips. my currently most mapped-out fic is 8:39 PM I think, where I actually know what's going to happen in the big story beats.

I think generally what happens when I have a fic idea, is there's a concept that really interests me and then I play around with that a bunch, think of what could happen, and then once I figure out what I want to happen I sort of go back and look at okay, is there a theme I want to touch on? what's going on? I tend to have a tonnn of ideas but also struggle when those ideas become a messy jumble, so I write a looot of half-finished notes and ramble at friends about them until it sort of clarifies into something vaguely cohesive. but that doesn't mean I know exactly what'll happen, just sort of what things I might want to happen along the way.

antarct-fic is probably my least planned out fic, mostly because I had a fun concept and some things I thought would be fun to happen along the way, and then just let the 118 daily drabble prompts take me along for the ride. then whatever I end up with based on those prompts, I try to incorporate into the rest later. for example, I didn't have planned that Tommy partially picked out his house because it was near a good school, until the 'school' prompt came up. I knew I wanted them to be in a spot where they were sort of forced to talk to each other, so I asked @geddyqueer for ideas on how I could get them isolated, they mentioned a boondoggle, and lo and behold: helo on a glacier. later, I went back and looked at the story structure and found a good place for that to happen, and how it relates to the rest of the things I had written.

the idea for Lucy to give Tommy a hot firefighter calendar to take with him in antarct-fic was kind of a random one and just because I thought it would be funny. weeks later I decided that's how he's gonna figure out that Buck is in antarctica, just because I was thinking, okay, how can I have this calendar actually play a role later? I have a little doc of 'threads I wanna pick up later maybe' for that, lol. but I still don't have a super clear idea of how I'm actually going to end antarct-fic, so I'm just along for the ride as well.

for pothos | pathos I had an idea in mind that I wanted to do something with, and it went through a couple of iterations until I decided exactly what would be going on, but I didn't have much of a clue for what would actually happen along the way until I decided to dig into some other things for inspiration, and now I have a whole list of things I want to give little nods and references to and borrow ideas from. some of those are closer to "I'm gonna have Buck do x and y at some point as a fun little nod that only I will understand", others are more of a plot point and theme thing. being super duper vague here because I wanna keep the mystery a mystery lmao. this is definitely the fic that has the most thought going into it and I want to overshare SO SO SO bad.

long story short, it depends on the fic! I have a global idea, a vibe, some themes I want to touch on for every single one of them, but the degree to which they're planned and how I know exactly how I'll get them there differs a lot. I do love a cleverly thought out story, so when I come up with stuff on the fly I do try to later make sure it's part of a whole.

Hi @ultrarebelheart and thank you so much for your questions! :D <3 Sorry that this took me a bit, I was busier than anticipated! Due to the (somewhat) lengthy answers, I will put two of them behind a cut to protect people's dashboards. ^_^'

What are you most looking forward to in RoP season 3?

Considering I am an Adar fan, I am both very interested in and apprehensive about whether or not they will give any more focus to the uruk under Sauron's leadership. And whether the "orcs" will end up being a faceless mass/simple "cannon fodder", or if the writers will let them retain some agency and personality at least.

I found s1 and s2's efforts to humanize the uruk incredibly compelling, and I see Adar especially as a welcome new addition to Tolkien's universe, so I hope that won't get completely left behind in s3.

(Additionally, I am still hoping we might get more insights into Adar and his life in whatever fashion. I don't care if it's a fool's hope, I would love to see him return, his character is so very interesting.)

I also cannot help but be curious about which humans Sauron will choose for the Nine, and whether or not we will get to see Númenor defeat him in battle/see him start his shenanigans in Númenor in S3 already. Another thing I'd love to see are Elrond and the beginnings of Rivendell.

How do you develop your story ideas?

Oh that is such a good question - there's two different ways that work for me. For the first one, I usually start with some kind of base idea. A prompt, a trope, a type of interaction, a scene, something that pops into my head or I find compelling. Inspiration can come from all manner of sources; the media I write for itself, prompt lists, tropes, stuff from other pieces of media.

I then write the idea down - a bit like a blurb, just a very basic outline so I won't accidentally forget it, and maybe I will also make some additional bullet points for specific scenes, interactions and the likes. (Sometimes that is already enough to get me writing.)

Strangely enough, I usually manage to include a somewhat-coherent plot into most of my bigger ideas even at that point.

If the idea stays with me and gets to marinade in my head (so to speak), I will usually go back and add more and more onto it, and eventually expand the blurb into a proper step-by-step outline about what I would like to see in the story, whether it is a one-shot or a multi-chapter work.

The other way is that I get completely blindsided with an idea and just start writing, without a plan or any preparation, as has happened with my last few fanfics. For the long one ("Of Convenience"), I eventually had enough time to come up with a basic idea for future scenes (after chapter 4 or 5 I believe) and where I wanted things to lead to, but the start was just completely improvised. This works best for single scenes, drabbles and one-shots I find.

That is awesome, congrats, I hope you enjoyed the book? Full disclosure, most of the Silm-related information that I make use of is from wikis, articles, meta pieces, videos/video essays or excerpts. I have the book at home and supposedly read in full when I was a child, but - I cannot remember any of it, for some reason. I usually read up the parts that (hopefully) help me understand TROP better or that I might need for stories, or watch videos about interesting topics.

That being said, due to TROP, I am getting more and more interested in Celebrimbor's story and am also trying to learn more about the geography of Arda, specifically the places where Morgoth and/or Sauron resided (and Adar would have).

What now? What’s next?

Hi Besties!

I can’t believe it BUT Beskar Doll has now officially come to a close and with it comes the end of my first two fan fictions.

I started writing Beskar Doll on March 16. I’d never written a word of fan fiction before that and had only recently started reading it (thank you to Stitches by @djarinsbeskar for making me love the genre so much I had to write it!) I started making it for myself and talking to my friend about it. The file is still just called Mando because I didn’t have a name and never intended for anyone but me to read it. But after a few chapters and plenty of encouragement from my dear friend @mysticnightmarewrites, I decided to post it on AO3 because why not? A few people might like it.

So began sharing Din and Doll’s story, which grew into sharing Joel and Doc’s story in Lavender and publishing more than 520k words of fan fiction (not counting drabbles on here) since then. (For those playing along at home, that’s more than 3,795 words per day on average - oy!) It also led to starting this Tumblr and I have so loved getting to know the community that exists in the fan fic world on this chaotic little corner of the internet.

Of course, this is not the end of my fan fiction life (though it does feel like an end to an era.) I started sharing Yearling, another TLOU story, a few weeks back and have plans for other fics going forward.

Here’s what I’m planning for the next few months, both fan fic wise and beyond:

August

- Continue Yearling, updating 2-3 times a week

- Write all the asks that are sitting in my inbox because OMG y’all are lovely and patient and I want to give you just all the content

- Finish watching Narcos and plan a Javi P fic (I have something in mind here that I think will both work and give me the brain rot 🤞🤞🤞)

- Finish my rewrite of book one of my book series, potentially start the query process

- Go on vacation, start teaching in the evenings and potentially host a foreign exchange student (these things may impact posting schedules, I’ll do my best to make sure you know what’s up!)

September

- Launch second long form fic (likely the Javi P fic) updating twice a week

- Continue Yearling, updating twice a week

- Kinktober prep? Do y’all think I should do kinktober? I write smut but like… plot with porn sprinkled in, not sure if kinktober is the place for my content? Send help??

I don’t currently have a ship I associate with this song, and I don't really see it as a shippy song, but let me take a little gander into the song's meaning and see who it makes me think of.

the song is about turning off your brain and coasting through life which inclines me towards a more temporary ship, perhaps something that only lasts because of the place the two characters of the ship are in. although, I'm not in any fandoms currently that have a relationship that serves more as a distraction from troubles (I'm sure I know of one but nothing is coming to mind right now). (it's not so much of a ship as a character, but the sexual relationships we learn about Tony Stark having pre-Pepper Potts do fall in this category)

so I took a deep dive into the lyrics again and resurfaced with the following and an alternative take on the meaning:

and it got me thinking about April/Andy from Parks and Rec. neither of them like being in line with the “grown up” things in life, and when they are together, they can finally be themselves in that regard (i.e. the time they tore through Andy’s bucket list during “The End of the World” in Season 3, ending with a spontaneous cross-country roadtrip to the Grand Canyon)(or the time they bought a spooky, old house in season 7, it's just one example of Andy making her feel relaxed enough in her desires to be her authentic self). the traits that put friction in his and April's relationships with other people aren’t an issue around each other, and it’s heartwarming to watch.

Real Life  is still taking its toll, but I still managed to touch  3 fics (2 new and 1 WIP) for a total of 1505  words this week, ending the quarter with about 13.5k words.

The Character A/Character B blog & Discord server run a bingo where you get monthly 3x3 themed cards - I managed two fills on my February Rare Pair Bingo card -  might sign up for April’s card if I get my writing mojo back on a semi-consistent basis.  

Bucky Barnes Bingo - Round Six [BBB - R6]  (Ends 31 Mar)

This amazing bingo event from the folks over at @buckybarnesbingo is still in progress.  I have twenty-five  fills with one WIP at the moment - not sure I’ll get anything else done.   

I did participate in the March Round Robin fic: Of alcohol, bad ideas, and what did we do last night? - March 2025 Bucky Barnes Bingo Party Round Robin �� - writing 178 words to help wrap the fic up.

* Adoptable Nov - Canon: Animated Series - I picked this up intending to do something with the What If … Captain Carter were the First Avenger? episode from Season One,  but  Season 3’s  What If… The Red Guardian Stopped the Winter Soldier?  is the perfect fanfic fodder.  I plan on keeping my fic platonic between Alexie and the Soldier, but there will be some shenanigans -  I’ve got 366 words towards the fic after re-watching the episode, but need to figure out how to wrap it up before the end of the month. 

Beginnings  Bingo  [BB_25]   (Ends 31 May 2025)

This new all-fandoms bingo event (courtesy of  @sweetspicybingo) celebrates beginnings. I’ve got a 3x3 card and have two fills so far - would like to get at least one bingo before it wraps up! 

* A2 - first impression - Combined this with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF289 Blinding Gaze] for  Close Encounters of the Blue-Eyed Kind - a Stony College AU meet cute/meet ugly with Tony literally running into Steve. It came in as a double drabble (200 words) and will get posted to Ao3 before the event ends.

* B3 - First Snow -  combined this with  my FFB Feb B3 - "Stay with me." prompt   for Freezing Up And Thawing Out - a Steve POV/ platonic Stony genfic where he has a Hard Time dealing with a snowstorm on the way back from a mission.  It came in at 657 words and will probably post on Friday. 

Tony Stark Bingo - Mark VIII [TSB_R8]  (Ends 31 May)

This amazing bingo event from the folks over at @tonystarkbingo is still open for pre-made card signups, I believe. I have  twenty-eight squares filled - may try to pick up another adoptable or two before the event ends. 

* S1 - Bodyguard - Posted  A Dark and Stormy Knight to Ao3 - it’s a vaguely medieval AU WinterIron AU double drabble which crossed over with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF276 Dark and Stormy Night]. 

* T3 - KINK: praise kink Combined this with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF290 Midnight Distractions] Sweet (Tech) Talk  where a pining!Steve visits Tony’s workshop late at night and the way he’s sweet-talking his tech sends Steve’s mind right into the gutter. It came in at 456 words and will get posted to Ao3 before the event is over. 

* Oct Adoptable: Facial Hair Bros - Filled this with  New Kid in Town- a double drabble that crossed over with the Flash Fic Friday prompt  [#FFF287 I Can’t Stand It]. Tony is complaining to Pepper about that so-called wizard stealing his look - she thinks Tony doth protest too much.  It came in at 200 words and will get posted to Ao3 before this event ends. 

* A1 - Evil Exes -  ended up squishing this into Chapter Three  of  Carrying Things Forward. This fic is a followup to my omegaverse fic A Little Bit Carried Away where  Alpha!Bucky has moved in with omega!Tony and they’re figuring out their relationship, including some difficult parts of their pasts.  

Post July Break Bingo 2024  [pJBB_24] (Ends 30 Jun 2025)

I requested two 2x3 cards for this  Discord-server only event from @julybreakbingo  – so if you want to join in the fun, let me know and I’ll try to get you an invite!  I have seven  fics posted & 0 WIPs - need to figure out some more crossovers.

* C2_C2 -  Learning to Love  - Squished this into the final chapter of Carrying Things Forward, where  Tony gets a bit blindsided by his Evil Ex, but despite that run-in, he and Bucky finally bond.   This chapter also fills my YOTP - March: Fresh Starts  prompt and came in at 1393 words.

* January - Stockholm Syndrome -  Posted Redirected Aim  to Ao3  this Winter Soldier & young!Tony ficlet  combined this prompt  with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt  [#FFF288 Loud Lie, Quiet Truth]  for Redirected Aim .  The Soldier’s mission had been to retrieve the serum Howard Stark had reformulated, leaving no witnesses.  He chose a different target.  It came in at 685 words.

* February - Bed Sharing - Managed to get  Chapter 4 of Carrying Things Forward posted on time -  see pJBB - C1_B2 - Learning to accept that what happened to them wasn't their fault above.

* March - “What are you doing with that?”  - see FFB December C1 - Juice  above. 

* March - Fresh Starts -  see pJBB C2_C2 -  Learning to Love above.

Oooh well now that's an interesting one. I can't truly separate the two in my mind, their stories are so finely entwined, it's like they have been married for longer than they can remember. Or perhaps something akin to what marriage might be for two such as them~ However, I have written just Raphael and Tav on their own too. As well as the huge Halloween orgy with Haarlep, oh that one was so delicious to work on it practically wrote itself through feverish fingers~ As a summary of my Cambion and Incubus content on my AO3: ATG 4 - Dream? Nightmare Raphael and Tav meet in a "dream", alone. There's no sex, but there's longing and tension, a building of their dynamic. ATG 7 - Love? Lust Raphael and Haarlep, showing their dynamic on their own together, with some hints of how Raphael is feeling about Tav ATG 9 - Mouse? Rat and ATG 10 - Cat? Claw In 9, Tav arrives at the House of Hope desperate to find help for a missing companion, but what she finds instead is an incubus with the same voice as the cambion she was looking for and an interesting offer. 10 is where Raphael comes home to find Tav in his bed with his incubus, and ends up joining in. ATG 11 - Deal? Done and ATG 12 - Friday? Freaky In 11, a bored Haarlep has a devious plot and entices Tav into joining. She's not sure why she agrees at first, but the details of the deal are far enough in her favour to be worthwhile. 12 is the continuation where Haarlep's plan comes to fruition as the pair of them trick Raphael. This one is a personal favourite for the plot and how the little game plays out for all 3.

Tricks and Treats in the House of Hope This is a Halloween special, in which Haarlep invites Halsin, Tav, and Astarion to join their masquerade party. Raphael is there, but not as active a participant as he might want to be... This one is "the orgy special" as we have group sex with the 4 main mentions. The Sleepless Dream This one is a standalone one shot of Haarlep x Reader, where they're appearing as your sleep paralysis demon. Short, only a little spicy, and maybe inspired by a bout of insomnia. The Mouse Trap Pure Dom Raphael with a bratty f!Tav. Just wish fulfilment for those who prefer an entirely Dominant cambion flavour compared to my usual Spicy Switch writing for him. Gala of the Damned A prequel to the game events, this is Raphael and Haarlep in their standard interactions together. The push and pull of Raphael holding the power, until they are back in the bedroom in the House of Hope, the place where Haarlep has all of the control in their claws once more and can take revenge. Tavylia's Short Drabbles Requests and practice shorts that didn't become full length fics, but deserved to be preserved and shared. Our fiends appear in chapters 1, 3, 4, and 6 so far. I even wrote the "canon accurate" of "Raphael is bad in bed" as a request for this and I hated it but wanted it to be fun anyway.

OK that is my entire catalogue (so far) of works featuring Raphael and/or Haarlep - each title is a link to the AO3 page where you can find the whole work. ATG is a larger series with ongoing continuity, which is available as single chapter works collected into a series, or there is one single work with all the chapters put together but I found that one doesn't allow for accurate tagging of each chapter unfortunately. If you, or anyone else reading this, has a request fic for pretty much any main/major/recurring characters (other than Dammon and Minsc, who I will only write SFW for), please do let me know. I have a few on my list to get through, but I find them fun and enjoyable whether they stay as a short drabble or grow to a full size work. Anyway that's more than enough from me on this one darlings I could talk about this all night, I have only been writing smut since late September, and I have 28 unique works which total likely over 100k words by now. My next release will be Abdirak x He Who Was which is still being written and already over 6,000 words. What can I say, loves, I'm enjoying their dynamic...

What oc is living rent free in your head right now?

We want pictures! We want rambles! We want chunks of scenes and favorite lines! This is a vent-about-your-blorbo free card! Go wild!

Right now there’s an unnamed novelized blorbo living in my head rent free. He’s begging for a book and I don’t know what to give him. He’s a soldier, young, arrogant (at the beginning), fighting on the “good” side of the war. What that means, I’m not sure. Shit hits the fan and he ends up betraying his side and his friends in his troop, and he just keeps digging himself deeper into the hole until he can only ever see himself as the villain even though he tried a few times for redemption. The first time, his friends believed him but then he just fucked that up again and now there’s not a single person on either side of the war who trusts him. He climbs the ranks then, trying to forget everything until he’s eventually somewhat of a right hand to the Big Bad Guy ™ (no clue who or what that is). His name might be Jameson idk. Right now we’re at the very very beginning of his story and he just got beat into the dirt during a sparring match gone bad, and his friend who plans to be a field medic helps stitch him up.

That and the dudes from my novelized coffee shop dream here.

Really I just want to write a book. I want something with whump vibes but it can’t be direct whump the entire time which is annoying, but I want a comprehensive story with world-building and effort and plot and deep characters. These two ideas have been bouncing around as possibilities but I haven’t had like any time to write lately so idk if I’ll ever write these. The more I think about it the stupider the ideas seen yk?

And then there’s Noah, he’s just always sitting in the corner of my mind just like he’s sitting in the corner of Declan’s office lmao. Favorite spy Whumpee, can’t wait until I get to the point in his story where I can completely break him. It’s coming up, Declan’s next demonstration… :))

5. Do you respond to comments? I don't 😭 I want to but I never know what to say and before I know it, the comment is 2 years old oops. I reread comments all the time ❤

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? That's tough to say for sure but I think every lessons forms a new scar ending with an off-screen character death is probably the most angst I've ended with so far.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? That would have to be All the Words I Don't Have again. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. And Lockwood writes some really bad poetry.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not so far.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do sometimes, and it's not published yet.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Another Change of Plans is the most tumblr WIP I have lol. It dares to start asking the question, "What if the Old Guard adopted Adam Young, the antichrist from Good Omens?"

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Sort of? There was one collab fic I wrote a scene for but it never got finished. Someday I might post my part, because ngl I'm pretty proud of the Skull/Lucy banter in it.

13. What’s your all time favorite ship? How could I ever choose??? By bookmark stats, it would be Marinette and Adrien from Miraculous Ladybug. But cot3 (Lockwood & Co) and Superbat (DC) are up there too.

14. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? A better question is what isn't a WIP I'll never finish??? I have dozens 😭 Though one that stands out is an old Frozen fic I outlined in I think 2018(?). The premise is a canon divergence where Anna's death is faked when they're children and she's raised in the village instead of in the castle. There are two full acts that are just set up for a The Prince And Me/Princess Diaries-esque rom-com between suddenly-a-princess Anna and just-a-normal-guy Kristoff.

The outline on its own is about 8k words, and frankly I've considered editing and posting the outline itself before because it's detailed enough. This fic is actually a drabble I wrote to take place within my AU, but it reads canon compliant enough of its own so I posted it.

15. What are your writing strengths? Ideas. I am always getting new plot bunnies, always getting excited about the next great idea, always thinking about new aspects of these worlds and characters I want to explore.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Dialogue and volume. That's why I write so many descriptive, very short fics XD

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I'd only do it in a language I've studied for a couple years, and even then I would want a native speaker to read over it for me. But it hasn't come up yet?

I do really like Superbat or Star Trek fics where the author sparingly includes Kryptonian / Klingon / Vulcan with a translation at the end.

18. First fandom you wrote for? My Little Pony, or maybe Percy Jackson?? I'm too scared to check my old accounts to see which came first, if I ever even posted the fics I remember writing then at all.

19. Favorite fic you’ve written? building glass castles for sure!!! I love the atmosphere in it, and the monologue from Skull. That monologue came to me in the middle of the night once, so I had to type it up immediately and build the fic around it later.

HEAR ME OUT hear me out before you end me for this but BUT this is one of my first works on here, I wrote this in a damn hospital 😭 KDJSKAKKW it was wild ngl. but like the first chapter is alright, I feel like the problem comes in at the second because if I'm being honest my ass did NOT plan it out well, I just...went with the flow?!#?#?? it got random and I felt it could have been done way way better !

FebruarOC - Horatio

It's been a week of these are you sick of me yet? 

Horatio is one of my two newest characters. Him and Quin, shoutouts to 👖 buddy chat for helping me name them, but they also had to deal with me complaining about the book that these two are in response to. 

In January I did read the first two books of The Hollow Star Saga and like, they were okay, I did the audiobooks mostly because I really liked the narrators (it was an ensemble cast). The characters were all good, but the story too disjointed and didn't focus on the character I feel like had the stronger storyline. That character is a fae prince and heir to the Seelie Summer court. And he's got a bodyguard. There was intense mutual pining and extremely fraught potential re: the plot (that apparently isn't important enough to be the main focus of the series). So you know this had me written all over it. 

Except that they're barely the focus and when they do get their first kiss it's from someone else's POV as she watches it happen. Phrow. 

So I got frustrated and went "you know what I have a story setting that has fae in it I could EASILY put expys of these two in that setting". Kalina and Dianne only encouraged this behavior, thanks. 

So Horatio, Fae Prince, and Quin, his bodyguard, were born. 

I don't have shit for them planned. Or even really what their personalities are because for now they are just direct exports of these other two characters and, well, can't really do that. 

As a part of my "Collection of Curses" series, I have Kenny's story; he's a witch's son in LA who gets caught up with the unseelie and demons in some way that I've forgotten. His dad was someone powerful but I don't remember if he was like, a fae or a demon. But there is a fae court based out of LA so might as well put Horatio in charge of it, because that way I don't have to make a new setting for them if I want to play with them. Which I will because I have to write Horatio's drabble, Quin's drabble, and the OC Kiss Week drabble for them. Will there be any coherency between the three? Don't ask me. Just read the drabble, which is up (for free) on patreon.
