Synastry observations 🫀

Someone’s Venus in your 7th house means you view the Venus person as your ideal partner. You may have not known what you wanted in a partner until you met this person. 7th house person catches feelings fast.

When someone’s Mars lands in your 1st house you can view the Mars person as being annoying.

Having your moon in someone’s 8th house can be very one sided especially on the moons part. I’ve been both the moon & the 8th house person. Being the moon person can make you scary obsessed with the 8th house person & make you very controlling over house they express themselves. 1) there’s a physical copy of A Hero in the Demon King’s Castle which was surprising to me because syohei(/inutoki)’s got really off-beat style so I’ve figured they’d be too niche to be licensed, plus it had a dust jacket WITH author/artist bio AND the extra comics on the actual cover… I didn’t get it because I’m not quite ride or die for it, but I am reconsidering because syohei’s art is just really fun. plus it’s just a well-printed book, how often do you see manga printed in eng with dust jackets? I’ll probably reread it and see if I Really Do Want It. if anyone wants a bit of a wacky read with interesting art, give it a look. I actually… really like inutoki & syohei’s other anthology more because I really like the love interest of the main oneshot but it also has one oneshot that’s pretty vicious to the point I’m not sure I’d actually get a physical copy lol

2) speaking of pretty vicious, a physical copy of one of asada nemui’s works was there which I think is pretty cool, her art is sooo interesting to look at. it’s not as crazy as syohei’s, but it just feels… direct? impactful? just an appealing style. I wouldn’t buy a physical copy of that one, but I’d get one of sleeping dead… I’d consider getting the anthology but she really paired two of my favorite oneshots while having the main story have My Hardline Exclusion Criteria 😞 I’d get the other anthology tho, no hard no’s in that one. where was I going with this? well, if you like strange morose rancid toxic romances, definitely look up asada nemui and also a list of content warnings

3) on that note, it made sense to list manga alphabetically by title back when it’d take up a single shelf max, but I think book stores really need to rethink manga shelving, especially since more bl with smut/het with smut/yuri with smut is getting licensed and distributed

3a) by the way there were quite a few yuri titles, which is a cool change! I already had the one I liked

3b) buy ‘5 seconds before a witch falls in love’ it’s so good. I LOVE the main story. I am lukewarm on the other oneshot. the main story is SOOOO fun, zeniko sumiya has kind of a more shounen-esque art style and she usually draws bl so you need to treasure her fun & dumb witch/witch hunter shenanigans

3a) and the other ~15 I’ve read and dropped because I wasn’t interested in them (I showed sister the cover of SHWD—like, I also want muscular women but I cannot get over some of the anatomy, those are beach balls attached to her chest? like it’s not the aesthetic of Anime Titty Jiggle Physics but I really cannot get over it) but I’m glad there’s more yuri. mostly. I hate that the gamer one is there, the art and writing is so weirdly uncomfortably… H for something that is a SFW slice of life, and I didn’t like a few of the other series that sister pointed out because they were really. too long with not enough sense of direction/momentum to have satisfying character/relationship progression. BUT IT’S GOOD THAT MORE YURI IS BEING LICENSED.

3) anyway I was thinking that there should probably be more a delineation between either genres or age of audience, but at the same time, that’s tricky—having an 18+ section could make it uncomfortable for folks who enjoy being able to browse without a glaring neon sign that indicates they’re looking at smut, dividing by genre can make it tough for folks who want to take a look at gay romances/lgbtq autobio more surreptitiously,

You missed everything about Italy, the sand of the beaches, the sweet air, something about the people, you missed it all. There were two things that Italy didn’t have that you loved more, Amelia Shepherd and one of the best cardiothoracic surgery programs in the whole world.

Unfortunately, when you’d heard Amelia had a brain tumor that was tricky at best, you worried that soon, you might lose half of the reason you’d fallen in love with America. You remembered when they’d told you that you couldn’t be in the O.R. with her to monitor her vitals, it felt like you’d had a heart attack, your heart almost stopped, you swore it had. Amelia couldn’t bare to look at you.

“Hey,” she’d asked you to stay back after, “I know Andrew called you in to monitor my heart function and-and all that while the surgery was happening, and our relationship kind of… well it kind of puts a wrench in that. If you wanted to go home-.” You stop listening, and you cut her off quickly, “No. Amelia, stop it. I’m not going home! If they needed me in there after they learned their stupid lesson and I’d gone home, I don’t know… I don’t know what I’d do with myself!” You put your head into your hands, sighing a bit, you look up to see Amelia with a wide grin on her face, laughing softly, “You know, you sound sexy even when you’re upset at me,” You laugh a bit with her, hitting her arm softly. “You say that to all the Italian girls,” You joke with her as she rolls her eyes, “Only the ones that I love.”

You smile at her wearily, you haven’t been together long, you wouldn’t want her to do that to placate you should she… should she die, “You don’t have to do that, Amelia. You sat for a while until you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket, you slid it out, only to see the contact: Andy… Andrew… Shit. You burst out of your seat, your fear carrying your feet down the hallway and into the O.R. hallway, past the red line on the floor and into the halls, you grab an O.R. mask, pull it on, and run into the O.R. “What is happening to her?” You hear Koracick groan as he chastises Andrew, “You called your big sister because you didn’t like a call I made?” Andrew sighs, “Her heart is getting arrhythmias, figured you should stay and check it. Koracick didn’t like that.” Tom rolls his eyes, “Look wonder twins, I know you two leaned on one another and all that but you can not tag team me with Shepherd’s girlfriend, I have it handled and I’m almost done!” He’s tense but working at a steady pace. You sigh, he has a point, and as a doctor, you know that you’d never let a patient's significant other do this at all. You turn out of the room until you hear Tom mutter something, “Fine. DeLuca, go scrub in, get some gloves on and monitor her heart rate, don’t make me regret this.” You nod, smiling to yourself as you scrub in. When you re-enter the operating room, you shoot your brother a small smile, one that he can discern even with your mask on. You hold Amelia’s hand as you watch her heart rate, for just a second, when you pick up her hand, it picks up before settling down. It’s the reaction to stimuli but it causes your heart to well up a bit. Tom chuckles a bit to himself, considering you for a moment, “You know that Amelia and me at one point-” You roll your eyes, “I did but right now really isn’t the time for that considering that you are wrist deep into her brain.” He rolls his eyes, “Touche. I just have to do this and…” You feel yourself hold a breath in for just a moment, “We’re good to close up.” You exhale, leaving Tom to eye you for a moment, “The two of you can step out now, thank you for your expertise, DeLuca.” You roll your eyes and smile at him, “I’ll be waiting in her room, Tom.” You and your brother step out, scrubbing out as you look over at him for just a moment, “Andy? Thank you for calling me in there… Even though Tom is definitely going to hate you for that later.” You laugh as he smiles at you, “Hey, I did it for you, just use those super-talented surgeon powers to get me out of the bind later?” You shoot him a wide smile and nod, “Always, brother.” When you finish, you and Andrew walk up to Amelia’s hospital room, being greeted by Meredith, Owen, and Maggie, also awaiting for Amelia to come up from surgery. They turn and look at the both of you with questioning stares, “She was perfectly fine, besides a few arrhythmias, she should wake up with absolutely no tumor and no risky behaviors.” Owen looks relieved and pulls you into a hug, you chuckle as he realizes what he just did, “Not there yet Owen, I’m still the new girlfriend and you’re her ex-husband.” He chuckles as you pull away, seeing Andrew and Meredith talking in hushed whispers by the door, the atmosphere changes when Amelia is wheeled into her hospital room. She’s more awake, though still groggy.

Koracick sighs, “You all need to stop crowding her, let me make sure she’s all there first.” You all take a collective step back, Andrew taking a step out alongside Owen backing away to being closer to the door. “Alright, Amelia… Do you know who the president is?” She nods, “Unfortunately, I do,” She laughs a bit, “Comment s'est passé l'opération?” She asks as you all share confused looks around the room for a moment, “Does she know French normally?” You ask as Owen shrugs, “She never knew French… I don’t think..?” Meredith suddenly lights up, “The Shepherd children all went to French preschool!” She practically squeals, dragging the attention from Andrew and Jo in the hallway, she quietly apologizes and Tom nods, “Besides the French, she seems to be… alert.” She’d reacted to Meredith’s loud exclamation prior as the rest of you had, as well as the regular post-brain surgery tests seemed to have gone swimmingly. After a bit of commotion, people slowly began to make their way out of her hospital room, all except for you, you kept your hand in hers as you lay against her lap, “I just wanted you to know… You did awesome in there, Amelia.” She laughs a bit, “High praise from the famous heart doctor.” You shake your head, “Being serious here, I just am happy that you’re okay.” She nods as you look up at her, she’s still a bit loopy but she’s all there.

Literally the only turtle that can’t get mind controlled by krang post movie in some way connected to the movie is Mikey because Donnie->spaceship raph->got mind controlled Leo-> was beaten by krang prime and while I know that brother krang gave the infections krang prime could PROBABLY do something to him. The only turtle where you would REALLY have to do something with the plot to find a way to infect is Mikey cause like he barely even touched krang shit in the movie.

also i've seen a lot of ppl (i've never had a playstation so i have to go off of other ppl's opinions) say that while the story is about how the cycle of revenge is bad that the gameplay still rewards it and how that sort of defeats the purpose of the game for them and wanted to know your thoughts on that

YES YES YES you know i’m always up for writing a paragraph (or ten)

first, let me just clarify one thing: the main message of the game is not “revenge is bad”. i hear people say this constantly and it’s just not true. the real message is all about forgiveness. if i had to boil it down to its essentials, i’d say the message is “love is a stronger force than hate.” but that’s just one interpretation!

i don’t feel that the gameplay rewards the cycle of revenge at all. abby kills joel and in return, she systematically loses everyone she cares about – leah, nick, jordan, nora, manny, yara, mel, and owen... plus she will never be allowed to go home to the WLF again. lev loses his entire family and community too. and they’ve both experienced unspeakable horrors while they were held captive by the rattlers. abby was punished for her decision at literally every turn. but she keeps fighting to survive because she has found a much stronger reason than hate to stay alive: love. protection. family. the first time she ever has a happy dream of her father, after years of nightmares, is when she saves yara and lev. killing joel didn’t give abby closure, but finding something to fight for did. it’s the exact same thing joel found with ellie.

ellie is not rewarded for her actions either. she’s the one picking off the salt lake crew members one by one, but we see her lose a piece of herself each time. she’s not experiencing catharsis, she’s only spiraling deeper into obsession and grief. she can’t appreciate anything good in her life, because she’s still consumed by everything she’s lost. she walks out on her partner, their baby, and their dream home to chase after this elusive “closure”, knowing that she may die trying. i think ellie herself knows that killing abby won’t make her feel better, but the only alternative is forgiving joel and moving on without him, which she doesn’t feel is possible yet. she has to lose everything before she’s able to accept joel for who he is and what he’s done.

it’s a fucking masterpiece the way that the game makes you think joel and ellie’s last conversation was a fight, until they reveal that actually, their last conversation was ellie offering him an olive branch. “i don’t think i can ever forgive you for that. but... i would like to try.” is so impactful because ellie never got the chance to forgive joel while he was alive. even while she was trying to avenge his death, she couldn’t forgive him. it’s only when she has lost herself that she can finally forgive him, and perhaps she can even understand him. that forgiveness has nothing to do with abby or anyone else – it’s all about ellie. it’s about love.

as for my personal opinions about tlou2, they haven’t changed much. i loved it when i played it the first time and i love it even more now!! i greatly appreciate the sheer balls they had, and the fact that they never changed their creative vision to make the game more palatable / marketable. i’ve never seen a game make such an unpopular choice and i respect the fuck out of them for doing it no matter what anyone said. i love joel but i’m glad he died because it gave rise to one of the most impactful stories i’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing 💖

(special mention to the fact that the main character is a lesbian, which is something i would never even think to wish for because it’s so uncommon in games of this genre. ellie is everything i’ve ever wanted from gay rep, meaning that she’s literally just existing as a gay person and her sexuality has hardly anything to do with the plot. i fucking love how she has a detailed story, a rich personality, and complicated relationships while she just happens to be a lesbian. it’s literally perfect, no notes!)

so the thing about communities of expats/immigrants/foreigners is that there are ALWAYS people coming and going but for a while here I had a really tight group of friends I met through work and we did EVERYTHING together. We’ll call them J, N, and B. All around my age. J was a guy from Canada, N an American guy, and B a South African girl.

N, bless his soul, has always been the most OBVIOUSLY gay guy but has wayyyyy too much internalized homophobia to deal with it so compensated by being wayyyy too into women, you know? But also he had a collection of 300 perfumes and reviewed them on YouTube lol so

ANYway he was in one really weird relationship with some girl we never even got to meet for a while and then he met Z, who started hanging out with all of us. She was always so great and they were so cute together.

So eventually J (the coolest guy, we always watched hockey together) moved back to Canada and N and Z left to go work for the summer on a ranch in the US. The tentative plan was for N to stay there because he’d always been very vocal about hating Taiwan but Z was gonna kind of play it by ear. I figured they were gonna get married, they’d already been together a couple years and had a very strong relationship

Anyway idk what happened but the minute N stepped back on American soil, his inner asshole started to show. He just became this horrible annoying person I didn’t really want anything to do with, so I haven’t talked to him much since.

I kept in touch with Z who was having a terrible time with him. He all of a sudden broke up with her in a REALLY shitty way and she moved back here. Then he moved to like Bolivia or something idk.

So then Z, B, and I were still here. B is always busy or super depressed (no judgment) so I hardly ever see her, so Z and I started hanging out alone.

It was a LITTLE awkward at first bc I only ever hung out with her through N?? But actually we got along so great and hang out as much as we can now

That’s cool, that’s fine, but I started feeling this attraction to her and this chemistry between us that suggested it… could? be mutual?? Like there were definitely signals, especially the time we went through the haunted house together wow

We had a couple discussions that were like “okay so I guess we’re both technically pretty pansexual” so it would hypothetically work ((I DO strongly id as gay but my attitude is anything’s possible u know?))

different anon I’m sorry but in terms of compelling evidence, the bears aren’t that much better than astrology since so much of them are up to interpretation. Sure they make very explicit gay references, but the stuff fans associated with babygate especially could just as easily been flat references to a baby existing, rather than some covert exposé on how fake it was. There’s too much wiggle room. Me personally I don’t think there’s enough evidence to 100% say it was HL controlling them the whole time. That isn’t to say there’s zero evidence, I simply have reasonable doubt. Maybe there’s more I haven’t seen, but so much of the fandom treats everything about the bears as settled facts everyone already knows about, it’s gotten to the point where newer fans like me trying to ask questions about things we weren’t there for get treated like antis for not just accepting everything second hand, no matter how little sense it makes. I want to be logical and live in reality like you said, and I’m not saying the bears should be debunked or thrown out or whatever, I’m just saying there’s too many holes for me to consider them some of the best evidence we have.

And if you’re just going to tell me I’ll never understand/be a real fan because i wasn’t there from the beginning, please just don’t. I get enough gatekeeping from older larries from the rest of the fandom, i don’t want to get it from a blog i actually like.

Don't worry! I totally get what you're saying. I think for every piece of Larry evidence, there is usually wiggle room like you say. It's when you consider it all accumulatively rather than individually that you realize it's far more likely that Larry is real than not. Like, you could see that clip of Harry saying he'd like to "marry someone from another planet" while looking at Louis right after Louis said he'd like to have a "hit single on another planet", and you could brush something like that off as a joke and say it isn't enough evidence to conclusively say that there's an entire secret relationship going on there; that's actually what I did a lot as I combed through masterposts when I was first introduced to Larry. It's good to try to debunk things. That's kind of how science works anyway. You're supposed to try to prove your hypothesis wrong, and if you are unable to prove it wrong, then that means your hypothesis is probably right.

I think at the time of the bears, I had been in the fandom since around October 2014. I had read the masterposts and I'd seen everything that went down in 2014 and early 2015 in real time. I had already been fully convinced at that point.

Then when the bears started happening, they just kept making obvious Larry references, references to RBB being Harry and SBB being Louis, and then for me the real kicker was the "Love, Larry" photo frame with the bears having a wedding. But the main point definitely needs to be "were Harry and Louis behind them?", and, like I said before, there's never going to be huge evidence for them being behind it. It's not like we're going to catch a video of them dressing the bears up since naturally they would do that in private, and it's not like they'll admit to it either. That goes for pretty much everything in regards to Larry, otherwise we would have caught them kissing on camera in 4K by now (and I've said before that it isn't hard to hide a relationship, though Louis and Harry have done a not-so-great job of hiding it aside from not kissing publicly lol). You have to consider everything accumulatively and try to think of what outcome is the most likely.

You know, a lot of people showed Taiju as super homophobic in fic because he's a strong believer. BUT I think that it's a lot more funny to imagine that he's ok with gay couples but just doesn't show it. Like my CatDog duo and stuff. I started believing in Ally!Taiju precisely when the whole InuNeko thing happened🤣 I want to believe he cannot be homophobic when he gave us the canon in-universe ship name for Koko and Inupi lol. Also, in his own way, I think Taiju always really cared for his InuNeko duo, even during the black Dragon arc

I admit I re evaluated Taiju a lot since the BD arc when he was introduced and while maybe in the beginning I didn’t really thought about him, and I didn’t like him (but I appreciated him as a character/antagonist) now ally!Taiju lives rent free in my head lol

It was probably so irritating for Taiju watching Inupi and Koko dancing around each other in every timeline I guess? In the “trauma” timelines for the reasons we know, and in the reset one because they’re just silly boys that took a while to get it, while everyone else already could see it??

In the reset timeline he was probably even more done since now that also can’t decide who the vice is—> unresolved sexual tension over 9000 (of course it resolves, but they still bicker over that lol)

Emily swiftly doged the man’s arm and swiped his legs out from under him before he even realized that she’d moved.

She almost felt bad for him when her boot connected with his face, successfully knocking him out.

The fight, if you even could call it that, barely lasted a minute and she doubted that she’d see a change in her heart’s rhythm when she’d go over her vitals later tonight. She sighed and crouched down and reached into his pocket where she’d seen him place his key card, then proceeded with dragging his limb body and stuffing it in the empty supply closet.

Really, this was turning out to be as easy as she’d told the higher ups, but nevertheless, she did as she was told. When they’d come to her with the assignment, to take out the target that had been flown from Cuba to Italy with their own personal guard, she’d nearly scoffed at them. Nearly. This was an assignment that was usually handed to the newly graduated assassins, not the ones who’d been active for over six years.

But as established, she did what she was told.

She swiped the key card through the slot in the door and quickly walked up to the window she’d picked after careful calculations. She placed the long package on the table before opening it, and with practiced hands put together her sniper’s rifle. That didn’t even take her ten seconds, and when that was done she put the tip of it against the back of the chair that stood next to the table and rested it on her shoulder.

When she peered into it, she nearly rolled her eyes. She could see the target move freely around his hotel room, his detail nowhere to be seen. Probably stationed outside of the hotel room, but surely they should have at least drawn the curtains shut? This was too easy. Anyone could have done this.

She drew in a breath, and on the exhale she pulled the trigger.

Me with my internalized transphobia upon hearing what the new chapter is gonna be about: oh god. This is gonna destroy me isn’t it?

Me after reading it: I’m fine I’m so normal and okay and totally. Having normal emotions. None even I’m fine. They’ve only read about love in a thousand different stories and it’s never looked like them. That’s cool and fine actually. Unrelatable and fine. Didn’t take those words to heart at all.

Seriously though I know it’s was a gay thing and not a trans thing but it’s so intertwined. Being bi was easy for me but being trans was something I buried for 10 years and still do and it’s just like. I’ve read, I’ve watched, I’ve listened, and no one looks like me in these stories. And if they do they die or they are villains or they’re boring or background characters with no characterizations. That fucks with you. I didn’t realize exactly how much shame I carry about it until Zuko and Kanut were talking about theirs and ugh. I know in my head that it’s okay but I also know it’s something to be swept under the rug and hushed and privated. I know that I’m only safe in certain places. This has turned sad, my bad, but anyway. I saw myself in this chapter and I wanna thank you for writing it, it was very well done and you can tell you thought about it genuinely. Bato talking to Kanut about how much he loves despite it being unromantic/sexual killed me too. Also! I agree that current terms and labels are jarring to read in fantasy settings, I’m writing a book and I chose to have those labels at the front and just talk about them in the stories but not have the labels said cause it’s. Idk something about it is so weird to read. I love that you agree with that I haven’t seen anyone else with that opinion

ill answer the end bit first before we get into some serious things lol but yes! idk i just read things sometimes in various fandoms where modern lingo is used interchangeably with their universe and it just feels so out of place? like it feels like reading a sci-fi story and suddenly some guy uses the full latin name for a plant like in what world would that just be common knowledge lmao

as for your other comments, im so glad that you could see yourself in this chapter even if it might have opened up some wounds that were easier closed. i was very careful with the dialogue of ch40 and it saw me writing and backspacing and writing again like a million times for each sentence, because it was massively important to me that this wasn't just the 'zuko is gay and kanut is aroace' chapter, but instead the queer chapter. there's a really worrying trend amongst the tiktok generation atm that really sees queer identities pitted against each other. there's no nuance or intersectionality and it becomes 'bisexuals cannot relate to lesbians' and 'aspec cannot relate to other sexualities because i have a fucked up view that queerness is inherently sexual and dont realise how much that shows my age' and 'trans is a gender thing while gay is a sexuality thing so they dont overlap' etc etc. whereas in reality, and i tried to show this in ch40, the thing with being queer that underlies so much of our experiences is always that sense of otherness. zuko can painfully relate to the shit kanut says despite their experiences being incredibly different, one being gay and one being aroace, and it's literally just because they are both queer identities. and you know what? as much as i wanted the dialogue to be perfect so i tweaked it a lot, it was actually an incredibly easy thing to do. i found it very easy to write a mlm character and an aroace character despite me myself being an allo wlw. and im not saying my rep is perfect because it would be my honest to god worst nightmare to be put on a pedestal like that bc i KNOW i'll make mistakes and already have done, but it doesn't change the fact that the basic theme of queerness was very easy to tap into.

i guess what im saying is that being trans is a different thing to what we tackled this chapter, but like you said, it's also not. there's a massive community here for you with open arms, and that's not going to be a miracle cure, but you deserve to know from people who get it that it’s not something to be swept under the rug or hushed or privated. unfortunately, you're right about only being safe in certain places, but this is one of them and you will find others. queerness is beautiful and it makes you you, and that's never something to be ashamed of x

The one where Simon and agatha DO get stuck in a timeloop at starbucks 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Genuinely can’t believe I forgot about this fic when it used to live rent fucking free in my head. GOD. Ire, I know you are familiar with the fuckery going on in this fic. But for those unaquainted, I’m going to go off abt it, because I’m probably never going to finish it but I want to unleash a version of it on the world.

Last summer, I wrote a sweet lil fem!snowbaz uni meet ugly au. in it, there’s this line of flirty small talk about Baz’s full name:

“Damn, that bad?” Simon asks, but she’s smiling. “Agatha did say you were posh.”

“Did you two get stuck in a time loop in that Starbucks?” I ask, shaking my head. “How did you manage to discuss so much in the ten minutes you were gone?”

so that fic existed. and then I was like: what if there WAS a time loop? but not like baz thinks? and so came the idea for this batshit fic, set in watford (7th year? Maybe?), in which:

1. Simon and Agatha (canon versions) get stuck in a time loop during one of simons missions. They get out with pennys help, but Agatha breaks up with Simon. The end of this situation is the start of the fic.

2. The spell they used to break the time loop actually just shifted the loop to a different dimension — one in which fem!Simon is ordering a drink from Agatha at Starbucks in an attempt to woo agatha’s best friend (baz) who she just dumped coffee on lol. There is no magic in this universe, they are very confused 😂

3. Canon!simon starts having dreams about the fem dimension loops. He goes to penny like — we have to do something.

4. The “doing something” results in more shenanigans. Including accidentally body swapping simon and baz between dimensions. And between each other, at various points? Agatha also gets swapped around a bit, much to her chagrin. Shepard appears briefly in the fem dimension.

Anyway. It’s very convoluted and very fun. There’s complex arcs for both snowbazs and for Agatha. and I thought through the mechanics SO MUCH and then abandoned it, which is sad but that’s life.

This fic also includes a scene I really enjoy — I think I shared part of it back in the day for wip posts but I’m gonna share it again below the cut. It takes place late in the fic, when canon snowbaz are in fem snowbaz’s bodies in fem simon’s flat with canon Agatha (in the fem universe Agatha’s body. Lol). they’re resting while waiting for when the loop resets in a few hours so that they can enact their New Plan. But really this is about being confused and pining :) Simon POV.

I couldn’t be in that room anymore. I don’t know how to be around Agatha right now. It’s been easy to avoid thinking about it since we broke up, but that’s because I haven’t really seen her. And there’s been a lot going on.

I should probably have missed her, though, right? I should have been thinking about how I’d fix it when this is all done. But now I’m wondering if I even want to fix it. What does that mean if I don’t? That’s the only thing I’ve ever been sure of: After it’s all over, if I get to have a life, I’ll have one with the Wellbeloves. I don’t know how else to view my future if not with that context. I don’t know who I am outside of the mission anymore.

I hear Agatha and Baz’s muted voices through the wall, and I feel jealousy spring up in my chest. I let myself sit in it, let myself be miserable. It’s not even a thing, is it? Baz is gay. I huff, rolling over in the bed. I’m in the middle of the queen size mattress, taking advantage of the space. Girl me lives a life of luxury.

Baz is gay, and the girl in this body is attracted to him. Well, to her. It’s all quite confusing. But it makes me feel a little left out. It makes me feel like I’m not getting something. I’m obsessed with Baz. Everyone says so. Is that gay of me? I know Baz is fit. It’s why I’ve always been worried about his flirting with Agatha. Is that why I can recall a mental list of all the things that make him attractive? Shiny hair. Footballer thighs. Sharp cheekbones. Long, lush eyelashes framing those grey eyes, a color I’ve never seen on anyone else. Is that jealousy? Or is that something else?

The door to the bedroom creaks open, letting in a stream of light. I close my eyes.

“Snow? Are you awake?”

Baz’s voice is higher in this body, and a little raspier in that scratchy, sexy way. It’s a nice voice. Still, I find myself missing the low syrupy tone of his true voice. I crack an eye open. He’s closed the door, but I can make out his silhouette in the blue moonlight coming through the window. Tall. Slim. Just a suggestion of curves amongst the sharp edges. I can’t stop comparing this body and his. I can’t stop missing the body I know better, the body I’ve spent years knocking my fists against.

I sit up a bit, moving over to the left side of the bed and lifting up the covers. Baz gets in the bed, lying stiffly on his back. I throw the cover over him and lie back down. I know he gets cold.

We’re lying here, not touching, not talking. I can feel my heart beating in my throat. I wonder if he can hear it. Maybe not. He’s not a vampire right now. I can feel the warmth coming off his body. His skin is always so cool when we fight. I wonder if it would still be cool if I reached over and touched him.

It feels like we’re about to fight right now. The air is thick with the wind-up of it. My fists are already clenched. But Baz just keeps breathing, keeps lying there next to me. I want to shake out the tension in my body, but I don’t want to disturb him. Or I do want to disturb him. I want to roll on top of him and try to rip his hair out of his scalp. Or something.

I don’t. I lie here. Time passes, the air stays the same. What if I did touch him? What if I pretended to be asleep and rolled into him, just to put my hand on his stomach like I used to with Agatha. I know he’s not asleep. I know what it sounds like when his breath evens out. He probably knows I’m not sleeping either. Unless he’s not as obsessed with me as I am with him. But he is, right? That’s why the other version of us gets together. We fit, don’t we? Despite it all?

Do Simons and Bazs find each other in other dimensions too? Are we always meant to come together? To fight each other? Or maybe not. Maybe that’s never been our destiny.

Could I roll over and touch him without it being a ruse? Am I allowed this? What are we to each other, after all this is done? Not enemies, I don’t think. It doesn’t feel like that anymore. It felt okay to touch him in Watford. It felt okay to be touched by him. I don’t know what any of this looks like anymore. Agatha said she didn’t want to be my happy ending. She wanted to be someone’s right now. What does that mean? What are you allowed in the right now? Can I even have a right now, when I might not have a future? Am I allowed?

I don’t touch Baz. I lie here in the dark, listening to him breathe, knowing he’s awake. I stew in the potential energy of it all.

I wish he would reach over and touch me. I wonder if he could ever want to.

7. what’s something that we haven’t seen in the show yet that you’d like to see?

i clearly wanna see some resolution or 'get together' scene ONSCREEN (cuz i have argued previously that they HAVE already banged offscreen in Dennis Gets Divorced) but I'd like to see, at the very least, going from writing Macdennis as subtext to making that the overt text. Which, in their defense, they've started doing since s12 ... but I just hope they execute the culmination of the storyline they started in s12/s13 in a way that.. does not suck ass. and i'm usually willing to give rcg a lot of leeway about this particular thing cuz like. theyre str8 they dont know any better LOL. but yeah i wanna see mac and dennis kiss, fuck, date, idc! something!

other things i'd like to see: i'd like to see charlie getting some cathartic 'snapping' arc where he goes back into the badroom and in the vents and the gang cant get him out cuz hes rlly emotional (like as a result of his dad dying or smth) and he basically just snaps, Phantom of the Opera style but he'd be like the Phantom of Paddy's... and maybe this is all while Dee's trying to host an event of whatever kind and so hes just lurking around the whole time trying to sabotage the event... maybe he kidnaps someone LOL thatd be ccool

shit... good question.... yknow i'll just use this as an opportunity to say i hate the way they wrote fat mac. it just felt like they squandered his potential. the way they executed the joke itself was just reeking of rcg's own body image issues which makes it just uncomfortable/not funny if you dont ALSO have rcg's body issues LOL. like i think if they'd done a slower progression over time where the characters just Look Their Age as they age would be a good subversion and probably not too difficult to maintain LMAO. and if Rob wanted Mac's part in that to be gaining some weight for a season/a couple seasons that could've been subversive in itself and done well. But I think bc they made it a seasonal gimmick it suffered for that. So I'm not really answering the question i Know but KJDFGNKDJ tbh i loooove the cast of characters we've become familiar with I think they're all great
