Im sick with flu so naturally I picked up my newly bought copy of Howl's Moving Castle which includes DWJ interviews in the back.

And im in love with the way she tells these stories feels like a part of her books.

I suppose there's also a biographical element in that Sophie is the eldest of three sisters, and so am I. The idea for Sophie grew out of the time I discovered I had a very severe milk allergy. I had to wait until I knew what Wizard Howl was like. I began to discover Howl about the time when one of my sons took to spending several hours in the bathroom every morning and I got really, really, really annoyed with him.

I laughed and laughed at the seven league boot, and when I came to the bit where Sophie accidentally makes Howl's suit twenty times too big for him, I laughed so much that I fell off the sofa. My husband was really irritated by this time. He snapped, "You can't be making yourself laugh!" And I gasped, "But I am, I am!" and rolled about on the floor.

Are any of your relatives or friends included in the book? Yes, well the thing that started me off writing the book was a friend of mine who never does her laundry. She has it around the place in huge bags for often as much as a year. When she does tip it all out and try to wash it, she discovers all sorts of clothes that she has forgotten she had.

Which is your favourite part of the book and why? I like the book all over, but I suppose if I had to choose a bit, I'd choose the place where Howl gets a cold. It so happened that when I was writing this bit, my husband caught a bad cold. He is the world's most histrionic cold catcher. He moans, he coughs, he piles on the pathos, he makes strange noises, he blows his nose exactly like a bassoon in a tunnel, he demands bacon sandwiches at all hours, and he is liable to appear (usually wrapped in someone else's dressing gown) at any time, announcing that he is dying of neglect and boredom. So all I had to do was write it down. End ID]

i havent watched an episode of hazbin hotel (everything i know about that show is against my will /lh) but the songs have been stuck in my head for the past WEEK.

okay I'm being honest idia was slightly weird and found your behavior initially strange when he had met you, but brushed it off because well, he's at nrc. you always seemed so charismatic and held only good intentions for yourself and others. he didn't get how someone could be so happy all the time as well. he may or may not have thought you were some suck up until he caught glimpse of your underlying nature. (he can respect that though lmao).

he seemed to stray away and almost ignore you at first, especially after seeing more and more of your own behavior. the time when he felt fine around you was when you, being unpredictable appeared and helped him get back at some bothersome student online because you thought it'd be entertaining. and both you and idia are pretty spiteful anyway, with those mischievous toothy grins on your faces.

idia can at least admit he finds your retorts and comments funny, he finds himself snickering to himself when he happens to witness one of these instances when you're basically coming at some poor student that made some snarky remark to you during fitness with vargas. but you always seem to point that out and he hates it.

lilia vanrouge

I feel like you two get along quite well, he finds your demeanor to be interesting and considerably old-fashioned ways is something he relates to. you two are quite the old souls at nrc i feel like haha. But anyone seeing just the two of you together, even smiling and chatting with each other can be pretty intimidating to the eyes of others… your constant toothy smile can be unnerving.

whereas one of your talents and interests is cooking,, lilia does enjoy it as well but pretends to be so weepy and sad when you told him "oh....! its utterly awful! ha-ha-ha” you two get quite competitive during the master chef competitions and challenge the school holds during that time or during beanfest when you two were on opposing teams.... so, you guys definitely get into friendly? rivalries with one another all the time, usually end up being completely chaotic and blown way out of proportion for what they are. the whole dorm knows when you two happen to be in one.

you two have most likely at some point shown each other's magic and abilities off to each other trying to one up one another unknowingly causing some trouble around you as you are so caught up.

ruggie bucchi

ruggie sort of becomes your little gossip buddy, because he doesn't seem to really care and has a lot of dirt on various students and stories he's heard and seen. you just happen to be a sucker for the drama and are able to easily repay him in some way with your magic if you really need to anyways.

he sometimes does find himself a little... confused and taken aback with your smiley and always grinning with some sort of delight even during the worst possible moments (*cough* overblots) as you don't seem to barley bat an eye. but then again as others would assume, its nrc and ruggie has met a lot of strange people. even if you're definitely one of the more... stranger ones.

before he had really known he, he had has attempted to be his usual, cunning self and deceive you at times as a way to try and getting something from you. he easily learned his lesson when you're so able to see right through him and twist it back on him- it ended up turning into some sort of game. he thinks its honestly impressive though. he almost wants to know if you learned that or if that was genuinely just you, he is leaning towards the last part haha.

you are definitely not a force to be reckoned with when angry or even upset. He’s certainly had his moments where he's like “WOAH”. despite the fact that he may butt heads with you often with your condescending and teasing towards him– you’re still quite protective over your little friend. you swiftly manage to pull him out of trouble by swiftly teleporting him right in your hand and he hates that, he always grumbles when you're chuckling “now now, violence is not an answer, grim” even though he's seen your worst moments haha. you're literally way more aggressive than him, he'll retort and remind you of when some rough savanclaw student ALMOST scuffed your uniform.

lowkey he wouldn't outright admit it to you, but I feel like grim does look up to your power and abilities in a way, plus being your unbothered, confident, straightforward self- he wants that aura around himself too…! he wants people to fear him like they do with you all the time. during halloween you practically “shine” as you enjoy playing around and scaring the daylights out of people visiting your dorm and go back to grinning.

not gonna lie, I think that you have this stupid rivalry between you and azul. being you, azul would find you one of the most difficult people to make a deal with. (not to mention you can pretty much manifest anything you want) you were able to easily manage and deal with the events that went down in chapter 3 because you're easily as manipulative and cunning. you literally are a dealmaker yourself. grim always watches you and his interactions in sheer confusion and concern.

Anya and Becky are the couple that no-one saw coming, but most of their classmates and teachers would have to agree it makes all the sense in the world when, after the graduation ceremony for their final year at Eden, Anya runs over to Becky and dips her into a kiss. Even Henry Henderson (Retired, but still spry and often in attendance at graduations and other ceremonies to honor his old students) has to admit, between the impeccable form of the dip and the classic leg pop from Becky, that the whole thing was surprisingly elegant.

As they muddle through college together, they eventually marry. The Blackbell side of the family insists on a massive ceremony at the Cathedral in central Berlint. Anya gladly goes through with it because she knows that pomp and circumstance is important to Becky, or at least her family, and she DOES like feeling like a princess sometimes, but she felt married the second they admitted their feelings to each other, and the only ceremony she really needed was when the two sat in the Forger living room and showed off their rings to Anya’s parents, and Loid and Yor hugged Becky and welcomed their second daughter into their family with tears of joy in their eyes.

Anya’s not necessarily a stranger to the glitz and glamour of the upper class. She navigated Eden, after all, and she was Becky’s best friend for over a decade before they got married, and beyond that, helping Papa with his secret mission often meant rubbing elbows with the upper crust. Still, at heart, she’s still a rowdy little low(er) class urchin, and that doesn’t go away just because she’s married into one of the richest families in Ostania. Luckily, Becky is fully supportive of her gremlin wife. She knows enough sometimes the snobs of the world need to be put in their place. Sometimes they even learn their lesson and become better for it, like Damian and his boyfriends.

So, When Becky and Anya show up to a high society ball together, resplendent in their fancy gowns, the upper crust of Ostania may be subject to strangeness including, but not limited to:

-Becky and Anya dancing the Tango and other lower class dances together, to the horror of half the guests and the delight of the other half

-Anya absolutely charming the help and sneaking plates of hors d'oeuvres - caviar on toast points, crudites, stuff like that - out to their smoke break area.

-Anya, horror of horrors, using her DINNER Fork to eat the SALAD Course!

-Anya encountering a snooty noble disgusted at her commoner manners, asking Anya what family she's even from, and Anya proudly announcing, "Oh, I'm just Rebecca Blackwell's trophy wife!"

-This is generally the point at which Becky swoops and wraps an arm around Anya, smiling sweetly at the noble, "Ah, Baron Franz, how lovely to see you! Is the Baronness here? I havent seen her since the party at Chateau Orleans!"

-Becky says this knowing full well the Baron and Baronness are going through an acrimonious patch thanks to the Baron being caught in a closet at said Chateau with a lady who was very much not the Baronness. Anya is in awe of her wife's sass and quickly demands a high five.

-As the Baron sputters red faced, Becky serenely leads her wife back toward the dance floor, where they once again dominate, waltzing together as if they were made to dance with each other and only each other, the only two people in the room.

-Anya, in the meantime, is thinking fondly of her wife, who always keeps that promise she made on their first day at Eden College, to protect her, no matter what.

Becky enjoys the class and glitz and glamour of their life, but one thing Anya's taught her is that sometimes its nice to get away from the inflated egos and the inflated sense of propriety and expectation and just cut loose. So it is that some nights, instead of going to a fancy ball, they sneak away into the city and head for the Discos.

Becky usually wears a 3 piece suit - partially as a disguise so no-one recognizes her as the heiress of the Blackbell fortune, partially as a tribute to her dear Martha, and partially because both she and Anya really like how she looks in it.

Anya insists on using code names at the Disco - She's Starlight, and dubs Becky Sinatra. Becky indulges her wife.

Whatever their names, they have a rep as one of the best dressed, best dancing couples on the club scene, and when they really get going, half the other dancers on the floor inevitably stop to watch - and cheer them on raucously. They, on the other hand, are only caught up in the music and each other.

When the music dies down, sometimes they don't feel like going home to their big old estate. So instead, they grab a taxi back to a little old hotel. It's a warm summer night, so Anya opens a window and sits down on the couch to let the summer breeze caress her face, and Becky sheds her jacket and rolls up her shirt sleeves and comes over to lie on the couch, her head in Anya's lap.

Sometimes they switch on the TV. Maybe there's a football match, and they reminisce fondly of the time Anya nearly beat Bill, and the Stella Star that was never actually on the line. Maybe it's an episode of Berlint in Love, and Anya giggles as Becky hangs on every word, providing a running commentary on why every romance on the show is doomed to failure.

Sometimes they just sit and enjoy each others' company, speaking in hushed tones from time to time, planning new outings and escapades together, or speaking of the night, of old times, of love.

The Morning after, they leave the hotel and head over to a little apartment just a short walk away, and enter to Anya's Papa in the kitchen, flipping a fresh batch of pancakes from a griddle onto a waiting plate. He smiles softly at them, but it's Anya's Mama who rushes over and envelops both of her babies in a crushing bear hug, the same hug she gives them every time she sees them, that she's always given Anya every day she can since the day she realized Anya was, and always had been, her real daughter.

Loid comes out from the kitchen with a platter loaded down with breakfast food, and sets it down on the table to give out hugs of his own - a little softer, but no less loving. Yor pours coffee - with a dash of milk for Loid (he doesnt really need it for his stomach anymore, but he’s come to like it), and plenty of sugar and cream for her girls - and the little family sits down to eat and laugh and talk together, each of them never taking for granted that after all those years of doubt and pain, they really were a real family all along, and every day, making the most of it.

First, i want to apologize in advance for bad grammar and long paragraphs . I am not a writer, but instead a rambler at heart <3 some of this is just me straight up screaming LMAO

ALSO SPOILERS FOR THE EXTRA STORY OF PSYCHICS 1 N 2

I will not really be talking about the anime , since the anime covers most of the manga but is really quick and cuts some scenes (that i honestly thought were the funniest but it may be that i havent seen em before thst makes it funny) so i will peimarily be using the manga and novels (Extra Story of Psychics 1 and 2) as references .

Its in total agreement that saiki is a toootal tsundere, or at least i prefer kuudere for him (tsunderes are often aggressive or soft and generally alternating, whereas kuuderes are cynical and appear emotionless but of course have a soft side . Its just behavior difference but still makes a difference jn my heart <3) and of course what with it being confirmed By him in the manga its like Duh. But we dont necessarily see his soft side ? Bc of course we know his 'soft side' is generally sheep herding his friends and caring for their well being, but he doesnt explicitly like ,, say it . And im not counting what he said at the volcano and also i sort of rely on words so having a BOOK of words that i can grab at and string along to my brain is SO good for me honestly dude i love the books so unibelievebly much

Of course, like in any good saiki media the first chapters are generally getting caught up in his friends shenanigans. I was so delighted to note that it was all in perspective of saiki himself ! The first pov!! I usually dont like the first perspective , but in novels its more expected and also its saiki! (Im insane) anyways , we cant really rely on saiki as an output of his emotions to the reader bc hes an unreliable narrator, he doesn't necessarily speak out his emotions or show them that much .

Anyways, besties being besties !! Saiki quite literally follows his friends around . Everywhere . It still amuses me that even though he can just Teleport away when theyre not looking and they wouldnt find it super suspicious (hes done it before in the manga im like 80% sure) he still hangs out with them and now , in the last chapter of the first novel, we know why !! He usually says its an obligation or a social thing in a typical tsundere fashion , but in the last chapter he feels . Sad . THAT SHIT CAUGHT ME SO OFF GAURD . In this chapter , he stays home due to a premonition of his house being on fire . He takes a nap and wakes up to see kaidou and nendou hanging in his room, saying that Saikis mom let them in while she went out . They ask if hes sick and then go cook ramen for him , and he uses clairvoyance to make sure they dont set his kitchen and then his house on fire (being paranoid after the premonition, and end up caring for his friends safety) and afterwards he ends up esting their ramen and tries to send them home . He ends up getting another premonition in thst moment (doesnt explicitely say it to the readers yet), has seconds of the ramen (bc it wasnt bad) and then his friends go home, stepping on a cigarette bud that would have started the fire.

One thing that gets me when i read this chapter is that after the second premonition, he could have still sent them home ! He now knew the cause (that he now revealed) and he couldve nipped the cigarette himself but instead he lets fate do what it does best and they leave later and step on the cigarette then . Its so interesting ! And !!! Right after that, he claims he felt empty, that his room felt larger and more quiet . Of course, in his typical fashion he tries to reassure himself thst this is what he Wanted, and that he should feel happy that he could have peace and (mainly) quiet in his house now but he just . Doesnt . He says he feels lonely . And he explains thst in elementary and middle school he never had people check up on him at home, and thus he preferred the quiet. He is literally defending himself against his OWN FEELINGS . Oh my GOD that shit made me want to CRY . I feel mang emotions a lot of the time and THAT ? THAT WHOLE SEGMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF WHAT FEELS LIKE A BOTTOMLESS PIT OF LONELINESS WHEN YOUR FRIENDS LEAVE ? THAT MADE ME WANT TO CRY!! And even !! At the end, he says "I start reading a manga in my quiet room." OH MY GOD NO FUCKIN WAY .... first , he reiterates that his room is quiet ! Second, he says he starts reading a manga and considering that nendou had bought a manga for him and then gave him said manga when he first woke up, i like to think that he started reading the manga that nendou gave him !! This is SO important to me because hes being VULNERABLE !! In the manga, He never really expresses negative emotions towards the thought of his friends leaving, infact many a time he tries to play it off as a relief (he sucks at playing it off though) , so the fact that hes being OPEN about his feelings to readers about these emotions of a sort of lasting and lingering and Yearning and the fact that its Most Likely (im unsure but for now i will say that it IS) canon!! Hes so silly !!! My silly little guy! He literally says his friends are destined to be there with him!! Thats crazy!! And he proves it in the next volume !

Moving onto the next book :D first , i want to address toritsuka . Though he is fucking crazy , its important to note that saiki Still cares for him !! In the book, first chapter in pov of toritsuka, reita says that saiki looks at him with pity several times and even in saikis pov at the end he feels bad that toritsukas luck is so shit bc his gaurdian spirit(nendous dad) is never around, and even debates talking to the guy . He feels genuine pity for toritsuka , so i cant say saiki is cruel or a distrustful guy bc LOOK AT HIM!! Caring for his buddies !! Even the less honourable and more crazy ones !!! :DD

Back on topic with saiki n his friends! The last 3(or 2 n a half??) chapters are all for one arc !! THE MOST SILLY ARC ! You have probably read it and i dont want to repeat summaries of chapters if yall have, so ill spare yall the big picture!! The chapter thst makes me want to swoon so Badly is the interlude, where saiki is under the spell thing of the parallel! Saiki Kusuo, so hes supposed to be in a dream . In this dream, he is at a festival . No powers . No limiters . He doesnt even know Why he is think of powers or limiters . He thinks hes starting to have 8th grade syndrome . The FIRST person that his subconscious places into his mind to talk to him first was NENDOU! He doesnt know anyone at this festival, all he knows is that this random guy with his face blurred and black out recognized him and is dragging him to a nice hideout . And he lets him !!! Without realizing, in all his thinking, his body moves by itsef, similarly to the chapter "eat all you can!" In the first novel, he just follows and doesn't necessarily register his total surroundings (trusting his body to whoever is guiding him - he can easily fend off anyone that Tries to attack, but right now he is subdued and right now he is a sheep until he becomes a wolf) and he just thinks ! Eventually, nendou leads them to a place to watch the fireworks and is SO genuine with saiki that saiki cant help hut realize just who is leading him, who he trusts the most with his subconcious and honesltly probably dissociating body is Nendou, and he says to Us (or namely to himself but yk) that the person that will Always be there for him, esper or not, real or a dream, is Nendou.

FUCK. i FUCKING LOVE THEM . Especially considering that he had teleported to a parallel universe where Nendou didnt go to PK academy, it brings so much emotion to me knowing saiki truly believes thst he and nendou are like . A destined thing . This could be taken romantically or platonically . i dont think it matters that much, although its probably meant to be taken platonically. its so much more meaningful thst Nendou has changed the course of action in his life because he was just being Himself to Saiki, because no matter what in Every universe (namely the only two parallel universes that he has been to) Nendou has attatched himself to Saikis side and isnt really meant to let go . The only reason why this parallel universe is like the worst ever is Because the Saiki Kusuo in this universe gets Rid of nendou, and then all goes downhill. Our saiki originally thought it was a good idea(in the way that he actually was concerned on where nendou was the ENTIRE time he was in class) before he realized just how shit it is without the power of Friendship . AHHHH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH !!! This is what caused me to keep thinking of saiki and nendou, intimately familiar with each other and stuck with each other until the end of days, because saikis omnipresence is all for naught without nendous stupidity . In the last chapter, Saiki even says that a life Without nendo is one he doesnt prefer to be in . Saiki is on the Right track, the Most correct pathway ever , from saving the dog in chapter 1 and indulging in his friends antics in every media ever, he is Correct .

The moral of the story is now my head is exploding st the seams with need for more nendou and saiki twinning . I need more saiki listening to his friends, seemingly uncaring but then reciting their stories or giving them gifts based on what they ramble on unknowingly to him . I Need more nendou not really getting social cues, but understanding his Pals uncomfort in certain situations . I need them to be Best Friends . Twinning . Sillies !! I miss them so much and i just i just 💥 im really losing it i love saiki and his friends interacting , he Knows that he Cares and protects Them, but he is like almost Clueless that they love him back and he most definitely doesnt realize or believe he doesnt need Their protection (AND THEN NENDOU COMES ALONG AND JUST . OBLITERATES HIS WORLD VIEW(LAST CHAPTER IN MANGA))

The first meet-up

Ok so part 2 is finaly here, it took me a while to come up with something, and i cant realy fit all the ideas in here so there will be a part 3 and 4 . Also read part one if you havent already, this was all a request by the lovely @danielle-marie ! Ok lets get to it.

This is it. You have made it to the headquarters where you will now meet your new colleagues. The infamous Hashiras.

You have always dreamed of meeting them and working alongside them, slaying and fighting demons with them. Looking down to your right you saw Kiriya looking right at you. Waiting for your approval and response. And with one last look into his eyes, you nodded your head for him to open the door.

A bright light shining into your eyes. It was a beautiful place. Filled with the greenest trees and clearest lake that had looked like a little swamp for frogs and little birds. And there they were.

You had instantly bowed down onto your knees before him ‘Thank you so much for this opportunity master! I will always try to do my best as a Hashira’ your voice was uneven from the nervousness. 

‘ Its quite alright (Y/n), you were chosen by me after all. I thought about all of this for a while, you know? You are going to be the star Hashira. I have a house located for you just outside the headquarters, all your belongings are in there along with some food and furniture. It should be comfortable.’ 

‘ Oh that’s really lovely of you to do master!’ he chuckled at that before standing up. 

‘ Now if you would like to meet your new colleagues I will give you plenty of time to.’ 

‘Thank you master!’ and with that Kiriya and Kanata escorted him away, leaving you with pure anxiety. 

‘ Well that was one flashy entrance must I say! Quite exquisite!’ slowly turning around you to see who said those words you saw a big, tall man with white hair staring down at you. His big muscles and biceps leaned you to believe you were very tiny. Even though your form was alright.  

‘ I completely agree with you Tengen, she is very beautiful! I can see her helping me out in a mission or maybe even on something else’ said a man with red and yellow hair. Oh wow this made you blush. 

‘Don’t flirt with her dipshits, you're making her feel embarrassed. Introduce yourself first! Besides don’t you have 3 wives already Tengen? ‘the man who said that had scars on his chest and short gray hair.  

‘ A fourth one wouldn’t be much of a trouble; I would spoil her day and night! My name is Tengen Uzui, your future soon-to-be flashy husband!’ he stopped and kissed the back of your hand. Yep now you were feeling very dizzy.

Everyone's smile twitched a bit at your sentence, poor you just wanted to be friendly, what did you do!? 

‘Well you must be tired aren't you (Y/n) ? I bet all that walking did a number on you!’ said a pretty lady with pink and green hair. ‘ I'm Mitsuri, the love pillar, it's quite nice to meet you. If you'd like I can lead you to your house!’

‘ Um may I come with you please, id like to meet our new colleague’ this time it was a heterochromatic- eyed boy with masks on his face and the cutest snake you had ever seen.

You always loved serpents and reptiles like snakes, frogs, worms and lizards, especially lizards. You had begged your parents since you were young for a lizard pet, and finally, they bought one for your birthday.

A small blue tounge skink, you had him for 7 years now. You had sometimes taken him onto missions, hiding him in your haori. You had named him after your late brother Chikako. 

‘ Oh of course you can come, what's your name?’ 

‘ Im Iguro the serpent pillar, nice to meet you (Y/n). And this little guy is Kaburamaru.’ 

‘He's realy cute!’ you went on to pet the snake, it had licked your hand and leaned more into you. 

‘He likes you a lot.’ Iguro said with a slight blush. 

‘ Let's get going before the dark falls, wouldn’t want any troubles on the way.’ 

Right after Mitsuri had said that you began walking to your new home. It was maybe 10 minutes of walking into the woods, the house being very pretty, surrounded by wisteria trees and pretty bushes.

Making it into your house you saw it had a beautiful décor inside, and on the table was the tree where Chikako was sleeping.  

‘Oh my baby, thank God you're okay.’ 

‘You also like serpents?!’ Iguro asked with a big blush. 

‘I love them very much; they all remind me of family and friends.’ 

After some time Mitsuri and Iguro had to go back, but in the last minute, Mitsuri gave something to you. 

‘Have some Sakura mochi (Y/n), they are my favorite!’ Mitsuri said with hearts in her eyes.  

‘Thank you so much Mitsuri, I will be sure to enjoy them!’ and with that you had separated, closing the door with a sleepy sigh, walking to your bed. Not even bothering to shower as you go into your dreams.

Osmosis Jones AU thing...

Osmosis Jones is a strange movie isn´t it? It has exelent animation, interesting charakter design and a facinating concept. But it suffers from... subpar execution.

You wouldn´t belive my surprise, when I found out that there was a drasticly different scipt, from 1998, of the movie. To be honest if just read the first 5 pages of the Original, but they where already so different. (Frank has a wife but no daughter, he eats a meatball that fell on the ground instead of THE egg and Thrax has a SAMURAI SWORD WHAT?!?)

But what really gave me THE brainrot was when i heard that Ozzy had a partner before Drix that was staight up killed by Thrax. This has so much potential for pain and suffring that i just couldn´t leave it alone. Which means dear Ozzy has to suffer for my enjoyment and nobody is going to stop me. (Also my two gratest insperations: mamonna and Burning by Sad Mudoken. They are the only ones who understand me and my fucked up interrests)

Now what exactly is this AU? Its a rewite of the movie... kind of. The plot will largly stay the same. (until the end where i will burn canon in alcahol) I just want to try to make the charakters more compelling. I also want everyone to know that I havent seen this mobie in years and i never saw the series. Which means that im just roling with what I remember. Let me know if it works and if someone wants to join the brainrot, you are always welcome.

Lets start with the main charakte for now, Osmosis Jones himself.

Ozzy is a unorthodox cop with a ruined reputation. The only reason he hasnt been fired yet is because of his past friendship with the poice chief (thoug that relationship is strained and wont help him keep his job much longer)

He insits on working alone, which more often than not cripels him in his duties. (cells are not meant to work alone) This makes him into a subpar cop, even thou he tries his best.

Ozzy used to have a partner. They where a exelent duo and renowned for taking down some of Franks most vile intruders. They where best buddys who knew each other for forever.

One one of there patrols did Ozzys partner get infected by a virus and he was forced to shot him.

Sice then the white bloodcell refues to work with someone else, scared that the past might repeat itself.

He harburs and extreme hatred for viruses and becomes singelminded and recless in the persut of them. (Thats why hes technicaly baned from doing so)

No romance with Leah, that was a stupid plot in my opinion.

Makes still constantly jokes and ingnors authority. (HA coping mechanism :) )

Resents Frank in a way because his partner died so that Frank can live, but Frank doesnt take care of himself and waits away. It makes him feel like his partner died for nothing. He still tries his best to keep Frank healthy.

He smokes when he is stressed, a habbit he picked up when his partner died

WIP ballgown (version 1) for Clara, its a sunset

I want to give her 3, b/c... why not. a sunset dress, a floral dress, and a velvet wintery dress

also since I pretend Professor Black decides dancing is a *fantastic* replacement for quidditch, there’s an end-of term ball (4th years and up). I havent decided if Clara wears the sunset dress, or a different one, but regardless. She and the other Ravenclaw girls essentially take over the ravenclaw tower bathroom to get ready (this is happening across all the house common rooms).

Sebastian, who did not get up the nerve to ask Clara if he could escort her, waiting with a group of gentlemen for the ladies to finally come down the stairs so the Great Hall can be opened and the ball can start. The 4th years are complaining about the dress robes. Why do they have to wait for the ladies? Ominis is has already pretended to hear them coming (once from Gryffindor tower, once from Sytherin), and a handful of the 6th and 7th years have tried shaping their patchy teenage stubble into some sort of facial hair style. Sebastian’s got a ridiculous amount of gunk to tame his hair back and to keep it from falling into his face, and he thinks Anne would get a kick out of this whole ordeal. Also, his mouth keeps going dry.

Professor Black stalks by, and says them all dressed up and looking Proper is... acceptable. They won’t be embarrassments to the ladies, and that's as much of a compliment as he will give. It still remains to be seen if they can dance.

At this point the girls start trickling towards the ballroom. Imelda’s in a dark gown, mutters something about ridiculous skirts and quidditch. Sebastian’s bowtie feels too tight.

Meanwhile, Clara, Astoria, and Samantha are trying very hard to not break out in giggles as they race down the ravenclaw tower. Samantha cant stop fussing with her hair b/c What if the ribbons fall out. Astoria has her notebook that she’s been using to rank their classmates as dancers (and then she can see who’s been practicing). the 7th years are a couple stairs back arguing over their NEWTs and whether or not so-and-so will be asked to dance by so-and-so. a 6th year has shoved her perfume bottle into her bodice.

They round the final corner and start going down the stairs towards the gentlmen. Clara finds that her hands are damp. She takes a deep breath and heads towards the ballroom.

Leander is staring at Samantha. Arthur Plummly has roses for the poor soul he asked to escort. There’s a 4th year boy being hexed by two girls b/c he asked them both and now they found out. Ominis is leaning against the far wall, tapping his foot impatiently (Clara briefly wonders if he asked to escort anyone- she doesnt think he did), and then she sees Sebastian looking incredibly ill at ease, adjusting his bowtie, and hair combed back and staying there. He glances up at her and does a double take before his face turns pink. Clara suddenly gets nervous (why is she now apprehensive about the ball? hadn’t she been excitedly racing her fellow ravenclaws down the stairs?)

Sebastian is having a horrible teenage cocktail of emotions parade through him right then, and all he can manage to think is- Joking. thoughts aren’t working for him at the moment. His mouth is ridiculously dry.  Somehow he realizes that he is most likely not the only one who would like to ask Clara if he could escort her 50ft down to the Great Hall, so he gives everyone in 5ft radius the stink eye and meets her at the bottom of the stairs. And offers her his hand (like a real gentleman, Professor Black would be so proud), and asks if he can escort her to the ball.

Clara accepts his hand, she’s got the jitters, and finds that his hair suits him all slicked back when he’s dressed up. Does she like it more than the usual messy flop? no. But right then, for the ball, its delightful. And he hasnt noticed that her hand is sweaty. Why is she worried about that?

They end up dancing together 3 times (scandalous for actual polite muggle society). Astoria notes that its very obvious he’s been practicing. The professors are pointing out that these two are oblivious to whats in front of them. Professor Weasley is trying to keep her nephew from spiking the punch. Ominis is being steered around the dance floor by Poppy while she gets into the specifics of mooncalf dances. Imelda only takes to the dance floor when its a faster dance, and only with fellow quidditch players. Otherwise she’s discussing Quidditch. Natty spins her mother around during a country dance, b/c her mother deserves a dance and she will make sure she has one. Leander has some 6th year’s flowers in his hair. there is a 4th year stuffing themselves silly with desserts. A sugar quill was left on Professor Black’s place setting.

And one of Clara’s hair flowers has found it’s way to Sebastian’s lapel.

This is literally the sweetest compliment oh my gods... im genuinely so flattered that you've been marathon reading my stuff!!! its always such a pleasant shock to hear that people enjoy it, but liking it enough to binge read a bunch of my other works?? i am on the floor this is literally so nice

I wanna preface this by saying none of my dsmp works are abandoned!!! I almost never fully abandon fics-- i think the only one that i've ever chosen to abandon was my voltron fic, and that was for specific fandom experience reasons. Right now, all of my dsmp fics are just kinda on hold until i can get the motivation up to eventually finish them, but i know exactly where i want to go with each one.

So with that being said, you will be delighted to know that when the night cries is actually fully finished. The fic is written, i have all five chapters done. The only thing holding me back iiiiiis... the fact that the unpublished chapters are only rough draft. I freely admit i am very insecure about my rough draft writing, especially compared to what i post on ao3. It's been an incredibly huge leap for me to even post my rough draft work on here with minimal edits-- i havent gotten near to the point yet where i feel confident posting them to ao3, which is kind of a shame considering a heart choked full with wanting, my first ever work for dsmp, is a 14k wip that has never seen the light of day 😭😭😭😭

My final drafting process is intensive. I've made a few posts about this before, but i rewrite my rough drafts entirely from the ground up, using a very strict personal style guide i've developed over the years, and while it produces quality i can be proud of, it does,,, take a while 😅😅😅 a really long while. This is why the 7k scarian fic i finished months ago hasnt been posted yet lmao

So!! Rest assured i am actually picking at wtnc chapter 3 here and there!!! It's completed, i just need to rewrite it, but unfortunately my wilbur chapters are always my goddamn problem children when it comes to editing 😭😭 akdneks sorry this got so lengthy anon, but i really wanted to reassure you that wtnc isn't abandoned. okay heres a really long post about my onions on scarlet (and violet but ive only played scarlet so far). i will NOT be spoiling any of the story or pokemon that havent been revealed in official media, HOWEVER! i will be talking about certain mechanics in the game in more detail, most specifically how you physically move about in the world (ie the upgrades you get for your mount). while im going to try not to compare scarvi to other games in every single aspect, its not feasible to leave it in the vacuum considering What It Is (a mainline series game from one of the highest-grossing franchises in the world). developer crunch aside, this is what they gave us, so thats what im talking about. SO!! preface done. lets get into this, breaking it up by section with each getting an overall Section Score, and then a final Overall Game Score. points i like begin with ++ and points i dont begin with -- to try and make it easier. THIS IS LONG AND CONTAINS SALT (some deserved, some personal).

THE POKEMON THEMSELVES

section score: 8/10 i like a lot of them! its just the ones i Dont like, i...Really Dont Like

++wooper’s new evo is the singular best pokemon of all time ++the names this gen are top-tier ++most of the designs are really cool! --there are some who have interesting ideas behind their base design/abilities but it really doesn’t feel like it fits with the mon itself and wouldve been better off as a separate entity/pokemon (there is a sea-based creature and a coin critter who bring this to mind most keenly) --while its nice theyre supposedly all to-scale, many are way too small to be seen on the switch screen. conversely i guess i understand why people are always tripping over bug-types in forests

YOUR LEGENDARY RIDE BUDDY

section score: 5/10 their personality is the absolute saving grace here, the novelty of riding them is fun, though a lot of the mechanics fall flat for me but are still required to explore the world

++having the box legendary with you from the tutorial is a cool idea i didnt know i wanted before! ++this lizard is so personality. god bless --the camera cannot keep up when you dash for long distances --i dont hate the fact that there is only a single pokemon you ride on since that cuts down on total animations needed, its just sad we cant use anyone else --i also dont hate that your movement abilities are locked behind one of the story lines, BUT there are hard-locked areas of the game you cannot get to without more progress, which stifles the whole “open world, do whatever you want whenever you want” feel --you unlock gliding late, and after roughly ten seconds of gliding, you begin falling rapidly to the ground. whats the point of this? also no free flight is always depressing, if understandable at a technical level --climbing walls is your last upgrade. the small hop you do at the top of the cliff to make it to the flat ground is often TOO small and you may fall. and if there is a pokemon at the edge where you’re about to be, you will bounce off it and be sent likely back down to the bottom of the cliff. not to mention if the wall is not completely vertical, you might lose your climbing grip and begin to slide down anyway --they take up so much of your screen you often cant see whats in your path and will run over or into obstacles like smaller pokemon or npcs

THE ANIMATIONS, GRAPHICS, AND VISUALS

section score: 5/10 the pokemon textures and chara designs alone save this part from being rated a 3/10

++the pokemon themselves look AMAZING, they have visible scales/fur/metallic sheen and are generally a delight to see walking about ++the npcs and characters are all really cool and i enjoyed meeting them ++pokemon have several different animations you can see with the picnic feature ++pokemon having sleeping animations in the picnic and when idle too long with lets go mode is adorable ++pokemon roaring/crying after they defeat an opponent in battle and are waiting for the next to come out is a nice touch --the environment textures look like 144p stock photos --the landscapes themselves look like a middle schooler’s first blender project, they arent natural and they arent pretty --there feels like there isnt a cohesive stylistic choice, like in legends arceus or breath of the wild, where they have a consistent vibe for the whole game --pokemon dont stand correctly on slopes, ie one of their feet will be clipped into the ground and the other will be floating --most of the move animations are pretty to look at, but we still have “slide forward and jiggle around a bit in your t-pose” and thats IF its a physical contact move. arceus’s dynamic battle movements are completely forsaken here --the idle animations in battle have a lot of dead space between them so we’re back to just two of them t-posing at each other --pokemon dont even close their eyes when theyre asleep. they have a whole animation for it outside of battle, and inside of battle there isnt any sleepy signs. they dont Freezeframe when frozen either. --koraidon specifically does a really cute animation when you’re just sitting on his back BUT. his neck wheel clips into his throat horribly and i just cant unsee it --the pokedex has a cute aesthetic but you cant SEARCH it and trying to read the sideways names is unsatisfying --the CONSTANT jumpcuts/fadeins both in the open world and in cutscenes looks Awful. give the editor a break, you dont need ten small movies to do the job of one

THE UI ELEMENTS AND CONTROLS

section score: 3/10 for every step forward there seems to be several dozen going back

++taking a selfie for your trainer card is nice ++the map has a pleasing aesthetic overall --the map does not show cave layers --while you can lock the large map from rotating, you cant lock the minimap from spinning which disorients me to no end. also the main map doesnt keep your zoom level saved when you close and open it --trainer card is removed from the x menu and instead locked behind opening the large map and then a smaller menu, which is pointless --you cant take a photo of yourself for the profile Icon. why? --the pokemon menu icons do not have special shiny variants, and also they clip horribly within the party screen. all of my pokemon are beheaded and/or have no feet --in the pc why is multiselect bound to the - key and not something way more accessible. why make Y ONLY swap and not toggle between modes like sword and shield had? --in the pc you cant pick up a pokemon and go to the ‘all boxes’ screen and drop them in a new box. you have to manually scroll through all your boxes --in the pc you cant hit Up on your first party member to end up tabbed over the Last Slot --health bars in battle. where do i start. its awful and i hate it? if you have a status effect or take damage from an ability, the bar will display for a moment while the damage animation goes off, and then DISAPPEAR WHEN THE TEXT BOX TELLING YOU THE DAMAGE WENT OFF SHOWS UP. its stressful when you/your opponent is at low hp and you dont know HOW much until the turn resolves entirely. in worst case scenarios (ie tera raids), you may only get a few frames. just display the health bars all the time, along with the pokemons level.

THE NEW FEATURES

section score: 5/10 if these features worked as im sure they were intended or had a few tweaks, they would be 10/10. but they Dont, and its super sad that the bad vastly outweighs the good

++finding rare items on the ground (nature mints, vitamins) is really nice ++being able to BUY nature mints is amazing ++picnicing is fun and handy when you dont want to make a long trek to/from a center ++terastralizing is fun to both do and plan around ++the raids are an improvement over sword and shield ++coop is kind of pointless but still really fun to Exist in the same space as your friends! so it stays as a positive ++accessing your pc boxes from anywhere is a godsend! ++nicknaming pokemon anywhere is nice! ++being able to relearn any past known move at any time is amazing! ++shiny pokemon are seen in the overworld! ++the lets go feature is a fun concept --HOWEVER the lets go feature is implemented Terribly. the mon doesnt stray far from you and immediately returns to the ball if you do get too far. you often send them forward and they dont target what you want them to, or they defeat one pokemon and then give up. 90% of pokemon are also TOO SLOW to keep up with you, which means you cant even reliably have a buddy walking with you for fun. it also makes evolving certain pokemon a hellish nightmare of forcing yourself to walk slowly so they dont get stuck --shiny pokemon DO NOT SPARKLE OR MAKE A SOUND in the overworld. they will ONLY alert you to their shininess when you enter a battle. the only way to identify a pokemon is with the lets go feature (your mons will not attack a shiny) BUT. with all the problems the lets go feature has i just listed, the only other recourse for people who dont use it is to squint at their screen. what do you do with a shiny who flees if you dont notice it in time before getting too close? you lose. good day sir. i will not be giving the game a pass on this at ALL because of the many visually impaired players being shafted on all fronts --speaking of shiny pokemon, shiny dittos and shiny zoruas can be disguised as Normal Pokemon and you wont know until you engage them and they de-transform. and again, the only way to know for sure before you manually battle is the lets go feature. so thats just dumb --we did not need crouching and sneaking in this game if there isnt any out-of-battle catches or need to hide period --the tera raids being timed really doesnt feel good when you need to watch SO many animations and none of them are shortened or skippable. the boss tera’s, sometimes you have to tera, and while the throwing-ball at the end was clearly made with love...its long, and ive seen it a lot now --the difficulty spike from 4* raids to 5* raids (i havent done a 6*) was pretty insane without building an endgame pokemon specifically to take them on. also the fact that i cant invite my friends first and then open it up to strangers means you’re likely stuck with dumb npcs padding out your team --sandwich making is kinda clunky and the fact that the buffs are separated by type feels super arbitrary and just to pad out the system of “wow look at all these ingredients!!”

THE STORY AND WORLD

section score: 9/10 its a pokemon game so some cliche is expected, but this has been my favorite one since black and white. the only thing really dragging it down is that the world is not as open as it seems

++all three paths have solid foundations and i enjoyed experiencing them! ++all of the important npcs felt like real characters who had their own motivations and quirks ++i actually learned stuff in class and got to flunk my math midterm three times because i cant fucking read just like in real life! +7 points --the world is not as open as it wants to be. areas are hard-locked behind certain mount abilities (swimming, climbing) but you can. sort of get up cliffs by jumping backwards which is fucking hilarious --the OVERworld doesnt necessarily need to scale with player progression (its normal to have low level starter areas and high level endgame areas) BUT! the BOSSES should. i was reasonably leveled for my first few fights but then took on a boss 10+ levels higher than my team, which was a fun struggle! BUT. after that. i was ENOURMOUSLY over leveled for the REST OF THE GAME, and none of the fights were interesting or fun --the terastralizing gimmick was only used in an interesting way a handful of times (one earlier-level gym leader surprised me but that was about it) and could’ve had a lot more potential if the types weren’t so predictable. a fight you have after beating the league had me cautious of something that wouldve been amazing to see but never happened --almost none of the npc pokemon had held items...? or if they did, they didnt make a valuable contribution to the fight, which made most of them feel easy to steamroll --i also found very few useful held items in the wild, which isnt the biggest deal since you can buy them, but it was always nice to pick up something and be like oh hey yea i can use this! without specifically going to the store. maybe ive explored the wrong areas tho idk --there are too many shops. have a clothing store in each city, yes, but do not put every piece of your outfit into a different store. no fucking store sells ONLY socks and NOTHING ELSE. same goes for the sandwich shops --there are too many buildings. you dont even go inside any of them, not even the fashion shops, so why have a loading screen just to pop up a menu? have an npc outside show you a ‘catalogue’ and pick from there --there isnt a way to mark npcs you want to revisit on your map, ex the friendship checker or that one guy you trade pokemon parts to so you can get amarouge or ceruledge. i have to look them up every time --the pokemon dropping materials is nice and adds immersion that each line drops a specific item, but it just adds to unnecessary bag bloat. ive made maybe seven tms in my 80 hours of playtime and havent sold any materials because i dont want to scroll through them all

and the kicker... THE PERFORMANCE

section score: 1/10 this is abysmal. it makes me physically ill.

++the coop bugs are kind of funny thats the only reason this has a Single Point and isnt a 0 --the lag. THE LAG BRO. everything lags. the game, every menu, the pokedex, starting a battle, EVERYTHING --it cant keep a steady 30fps at the best of times --the frame drops and slowdowns are frequent, distracting, and honestly nauseating at times. i can only play in handheld mode --the camera clips through EVERYTHING how did this get through playtesting --my game has crashed three times. once while i was walking away from a pokecenter, a second when trying to connect to a friends world, and the third while eating a sandwich. this is the only switch game in my recent memory to have ever crashed completely --the memory leak when the game runs for more than a few hours. --people are FALLING THROUGH THE FLOOR. --the world fucking deloads itself sometimes when i throw a pokeball. yea that video of the psyduck by the bridge is real, its happened to me several times

so now.......here we are at the end of things. first, heres stuff i would fix to make it a perfect 10/10 mainline pokemon game

add shiny sound/sparkle back

make health bars display 100% of the time in battle

move the profile/trainer card and pokedex options back to the main menu

let players lock the minimap rotation

bosses have proper level scaling

make the names in the pokedex not sideways

tweaks to the movement of your ride mon

animation upgrades, both in the overworld and for cutscenes

minor adjustments to the animation timings in tera raids, making shorter versions of them to combat the timer anxiety

complete overhaul of the lets go feature

performance upgrades. god let this game cook for another year at least

and i think thats everything. this game is clearly unfinished and the product of the ruthless development cycle, and ultimately it was way too ambitious for the time and manpower they had. its extremely sad that theres such promise under all of the glaringly unpolished features. if this game had at least some of the fixes i specified above, i would feel confident rating this as my favorite pokemon game since black and white or legends arceus

however. as of right now, with the game the way it is, this is my final score

Arthur called Danse for a meeting, a schedule meeting, to not being such an asshole of interrupting his dutys to talk about her, after all it wasn’t a pleasant theme of conversation for any of them for lately the same reasons.

Danse stood in front of the door, sighing, he had been walking around wanting time to pass and Arthur to give up and leave but no, apparently he was still there in his office and my god he really didn't want to talk he didn’t even liked him that much. And besides, he already knew that he was going to start this conversation again.

His failed love story, but now someonelse is experiencing it.

So he knocked, the sooner he end this chat the better.

-Welcome Paladin, I found some boxes of Junk food to share and I thought –said Arthur opening the door with his best smile.

-Go to the point Arthur, what now?

To not love her he was kinda salty about the Nora subject, and he hasn’t mentioned her yet. He missed the days were the two of them were good friends actually.

First he coughed a little to make him understand that he should go to into the damn office and not be rude. Danse sighed and went inside, taking a seat in the chair in front of the desk.

-I actually called you to apologize, asshole –now the paladin felt bad for whatever the reason was- you were right about a lot of things im just starting to see now

He sat on his side on the desk and throw the box of junk food to the paladins hands, who open it and place it in the middle of the table feeling bad about his hostile behavior

-I tried to warn you –said the paladin picking a potato crisp

-Im sorry, I thought you were exaggerating, I thank you very much for wanting to let me know

Silence, Danse eat another potato crisp.

-Its okay, she is someone you really want at your side –couldn’t blame him, Nora was a catch.

-You really try to love her over and over, try and try but then she…

-Does fucked up things, multiple times in a row –Danse hand hit a bit the desk in frustration, definitely not a planned reaction, came out of resentment-crushes all your efforts to not feel bad and disturbed every time like it was your fault that she is unbalanced

Arthur stay in silence for a moment before talking.

-I havent seen anything super bad yet but…I had some scary moments –Danse looked at him- lets keep it that way

-We are pregnant right now, two weeks…-the way his nose swelled as he breathed and filled his lungs was almost comical, even his face had turned red, but he exhaled all that air to calm down and then pressed his forehead with his fingers.

-Let me guess –if he didn’t find a logical explanation he will have a heart attack- the council was pressuring you

-Of course but she also offer herself to me –said Arthur now picking potato crips to eat. Danse heard and sighted

-Truly the only reason we are not together its because im infertile

-You are? –wow he didn’t know that, not with his confirmation at least

-Remember when I passed out three years ago? I offered to enter a place with a lot of radiation in her place and sacrifice myself to activate some controls so we could get out of a chamber in which we were trapped, in the end Nora got me out of there I don't know how-he remember, it was a mess because she was screaming desperate for help when they arrived at the citadel gates that noon, the weeks she stay at his side while in treatment make him sad for her, he really rooted for Danse to get better so she wouldn’t fucking die of sadness if something happened to his friend-but I was there for about 3 weeks in treatment, obviously from then on I became sterile, I did tests not long after I was already recovered-Danse at 49 was doing fertility test to check if he could still knock up Nora and he was panicked about letting more time pass how funny- I don't know if I would have been sterile before because we had sex more times than my fingers can count and I never got her pregnant but the test is my formal confirmation of infertility, is in my medical record. Not long after I told her the news we stopped having sex together, I was very determined not to let her get her romantic hopes up so we weren't doing it but she at least stopped insisting on that aspect, she kept trying to get me to I fall in love with her many times but she no longer insisted on me in a sexual way, at first I thought she was afraid of catching some disease from radiation remnants or cancer in me but soon I realized that…

-She wanted something else –they have a long history together and he was in the middle.

-Started talking more about Shaun and how beautiful her pregnancy was, that she was having the time of her life with her baby more and more often–Danse sighted looking at the ceiling- the only reason im not hooked with her its because I cant knock her up clearly, of course if I get her pregnant I would be responsible of our kid despite our feelings not being mutual.

-You would be happy that way? A kid with her despite you don’t want anything romantic?

-Well –Danse looked at him and pick more potato crips- are you?

-Answer the question paladin –said Arthur now feeling his tongue salty and dry, damn he was thirsty.

-I think I would be a great dad –of course he will be- both will work to be great parents and protect that kid that’s for sure, it would be fun. Besides I understand your point back then, she is prewar, a kid with her genes is a guantantee of excellent health

-But to be at her side?

-If there is something that definitely does not make a couple fall in love, it is a child in between, it could even separate us more, but you are right, it is an excuse for us to be together and make everything uncomfortable, so that she can insist more on me –he saw a weird look on Arthurs eyes-don’t get me wrong im 100% sure that she is going to be an affectionate mother despite everything

-I don’t know –Arthur sighted sliding his back into his chair- I don’t know her enough

-Then why do you agree?

-The council said that the quality of my sperm could decrease if I keep waiting, and she has…such charming…

-Indeed –now Danse sighted also sliding his back into his chair- she can be nice and loving like a wastelander never experienced in their whole lifes

-Exactly! –hu this conversation was helping in a lot of levels

-It catches –Danse admitted, biting on his lip- I never wanted to give up

-What do you mean?

-Everytime she snapped and do something horrible it was like a failure to me, it hurts me that she was never stable enough for me not to feel guilty about wanting to be next to someone who did those things, I never wanted to purposely think I don’t what to correspond this woman feelings, specially if she wanted me

-the probability of finding someone to love in the wastelands and that person being strong for that love to last is so low and yet…-again, he pick a potato crisp and ate.

-I made this choice and it hurts everyday to hold it –then he looked at Arthur- im glad to see im not alone

-Like I said I haven’t see yet anything so bad…

-Eventually you will –he assured

-She is still into you

-Despite asking me to go and clarify things because I ruined everything? –the elder nodded and pick more potato scrips- are you into her?

-Not if she isn’t even going to try but…its hard –Danse get what he means, she is what every strong man wants at his side

-I am not going to advise you to try to make her fall in love with you, she has been lost for me for 10 years even though I have rejected and pushed her away repeatedly –then he picked potato crisp while ​stretching his legs on the floor

-It’s a waste of time then –the paladin agree. Arthur wanted to grab more potato crips but the box was not empty, they really ate everything hu

-I hope you both find what you are looking for -that came from his heart, he said it without resentment at all.

-As you will not satisfy any of her desires

-Not that desires at least –they stay in silence when noticed that the box of potato crips were empty but something snap in Danse mind- where is she right now?

-Tenpenny Tower, you sure are aware –the paladin nodded. Very aware of her plans and ambitions. She always craved for more. Being the top rank of the brotherhood wasn’t enough, he dedicated more than half of his life to the brotherhood but she wanted more than that, so much more than what he aspired.

-You should go and see her –that call the elders attention, didn’t expect it.

-Why? –he blinked, he was still a bit in love with her but yet…

After the paladin leave he made a realization, so he showered and get on a ventibird to Tenpenny Tower.

He was received on the heliport by Nora itself who was wearing a Pre-War casualwear and that annyoyed him, she should be in some kind of armor or protection at least the last time he was here people were not happy with her presence

-Elder what are you doing here? –she said picking his hand and running away from the fuss and sand the ventibird raised up to a place were they can’t feel much the washout. He left his escorts and guards behind in the ventibird too, he planned to be inside the tower all by himself? No protection? The people who bring him here will stay back and wait until he leaves? That didn’t sound right…

-I came to dinner…our usual dinner –when he said that she sighted, didn’t expect that.

-Oh –their hairstyles were a mess right now, she raised her hand to fix his a bit on the side- it’s a bit early yet but we can walk around…-was he really going to trust her to be his guard? Weird

-Sounds like a great idea –he said but she had an odd face while touching his hair- what’s wrong?

-You are dressed too elder again, lets change your clothes

-I kinda arrived in a brotherhood ventibird –he saw how she bite the insides of her cheek but smiled anyway. There was also tincans in the back waiting…

-Well I don’t need more people assuming that the elder its here, could be any other soldier –she smiled and place his hair behind his ear, the little she can do here-lets go upstairs, I have some mens clothing of your size for sure so you will go a little more unnoticed

It wasn’t the same place of one week ago that’s for sure, it was under construction. people breaking pieces of wall, passing pipes and installing things, following plans and instructions, work groups and people sitting around resting from what seemed to be long days of work...

-Were did you get the pipes? –ask Arthur amazed

-The forge, I made lead pipes a while ago for a job so I used the plans for this, since I don't want to break the walls we will go over them, it is not very aesthetic nor will it be liked by the neighbors but I prefer that to compromising the structure of the building by breaking walls only for maintenance, after all there is no urgent humidity that is flooding anything, only the walls are absorbing it but no more of that

That sounded important, for now they were working in the reception and frankly it was the most attractive place in the eyes of the neighbors and also the most important since it was the structure of the building facing upwards.

The two of them moved to Nora's apartment upstairs, it was much cleaner than the last time he was there, severely cleaner, the floor had a different color and was no longer textured, soft and sliding to walk, the walls were still in poor condition but not having spiders made it better. It gave a touch, in addition had changed some furniture and its layout, it looked much more spacious and orderly. -I let it pass that day because I was still shocked about our pregnancy news –he put emphasis in the our, pressing his arm against her belly- and did everything in my power to not react against you

-Im sorry –she whispers, her body was tense but she wanted to relax to show him that she wasn’t a menace and neither planned to attack him

-You made me upset –his torso pressed her and his arm more against the table- didn’t respect what we agree –its okay, she understand, he was a man of power, a man with power didn’t like to summit, and she had broken his trust in something he considers very personal

-I apologize -she whispered calmly, trying to get him to calm down too, not only because she didn't want him to hurt her or for the situation to escalate but because she didn't want to take away the authority and respect that he thought he deserved and wanted to have, it was okay, she could respect his wishes-I forgot

August- James Potter

A/N: There will be a part 2 for sure but it will be more inspired by Betty.

Aummary: idk if you have listened to august by taylor swift you know what its about, if you havent go listen to it rn😤.

Warnings: angst, angst, mentions of sex, betrayal.

You woke up feeling restless after a sleepless night, tangled in sheets that made it impossible to get up. For days, a thought had been haunting you, and now you had finally decided to talk to James about it.

You made your way to the kitchen, the sheets draped around you like a dress. James was cooking pancakes and dancing to Abba. You leaned against the doorframe, trying to capture a mental image of him since you knew this would be one of the last times you would see him like this.

You and James had spent the entire summer together at his house while the rest of your gang went to different places for the season. Your parents couldn't afford to send you away, and James' parents had gone to Italy to be with some friends, leaving you both alone. Things happened and led to other things, and you ended up spending half of August in his bed, kissing, having sex, and making love. It was a summer to remember, but you wished it had happened under different circumstances.

"Rise and shine, darling," he greeted you, but you only nodded in response.

James noticed your strange mood and decided to inquire about it, something you wished he hadn't done.

"Hey, what's going on?" he asked, taking your hand. You couldn't take it anymore and pulled your hand away, standing up.

"How can you do this? How can you act so nonchalant about cheating on Betty for a whole month? We're going to see her next week, and you're just going to act like nothing ever happened?"

James was astonished. He knew that what he had been doing was wrong, but he didn’t know you cared about it that much. His state of shock quickly changed to anger. You were blaming him for something you were also involved in.

“Look, I know that what I've done is wrong, but how is it only my fault?! You were also involved if you remember last night's events,” he retorted.

“I know! And what, you think I don't regret it? That I don't regret anything we've done this summer? Of course, I do! I never wanted to betray Betty, but I did, and it's done! But at least I'm aware of it and I regret it. I don't think you do, you know!” You were screaming and crying now, gripping tightly to the sheets so they wouldn't slip off.

“Like when you kissed me that night in July, what I wanted to do was push you off and tell you to stop. But it's not easy to do that when you've been waiting for it your whole life for it to happen. And when you called me to meet you behind the mall the next day, I just didn't know what to do, so I went. And then all of this started."

The room fell silent as James and you both stood still, neither of you making a move. "I'm packing my stuff and going home. My parents are waiting for me," you finally spoke, breaking the silence.

Those were the last words James heard from you before seeing you at the pub in Hogsmeade where you had all decided to hang out before starting your last year at Hogwarts.

As you walked in, you saw everyone already there, sitting at a double table that was still too small to fit all of you, but none of you cared. You were finally reunited after not seeing each other for months.

"So, who's going to be the delightful one to invite me for a butterbeer?" Sirius said with a smug smile.

"No one, but us girls will order since we have so much to catch up on," Lily announced, silently stealing Padfoot's wallet, forcing Betty, Dorcas, Marlene, and you to go with her.

"So, what have you been up to this summer, y/n? We haven't heard from you at all?" Betty asked with the sweetest smile you had ever seen. You wanted to hate her, but she made it impossible.

Suddenly, all of the girls' eyes were on you, making it impossible for you to breathe. "Umm, yeah, not much. I hung out with James some days, but, like, yeah, not much, hehe," you said, noticing them giving you weird looks.

Just then, the bell rang, and a blonde-haired girl entered the store. Inez. She had been seeing Peter before school ended, and none of you expected them to still be together.

She was a bit annoying and nosy, but you and Betty were the only ones who could stand her. When she saw you, she marched towards your table.

"Hello, girls! How have you been? Must I say that all of you look amazing?" she said, trying to sound polite.

After ordering and taking the drinks, you all joined the boys at their table. Taking you sits you all started to talk about what you have done this summer, sharing stories and just having a good time, well, at least them. The air between you and James was as awkward as it could be. After a while it became too much so you decided to stand up and go to the bathroom.

As you stared at your reflection in the bathroom mirror, you couldn't help but notice the bags under your eyes. Had any of what you did this summer been worth it? The thought gnawed at you, but you pushed it aside, taking a deep breath to calm yourself. As you walked out of the bathroom, you suddenly bumped into James's frame, and before you could run, he pushed you back inside.

"Y/n, we need to talk," James said, his tone serious, but his eyes soft with exhaustion.

"James, no, we don't," you replied, backing away from him as he advanced. "We talked about this already. You need to talk with Betty, not me."

"But y/n, please, just hear me out," James pleaded. "I meant everything I said this summer, and I..."

"Hear you out? James, I gave everything I had to you this summer," you said, your voice shaking with emotion. "I canceled my plans if you called, I spent my days watching your back beneath sun. Do you even remember any of the conversations we had when I pulled up in my car to your house? I was nothing to you, just someone to pass the time. And it seems Betty is too. If you keep chasing both of us, you'll lose the one, and that's Betty, as much as it pains me to admit it. So please, just leave me."

With that, you walked to the door, holding back tears. When you opened it, Inez was there, and you were too overwhelmed to care if she had heard the conversation. You made up an excuse and left, not wanting to be in the same room as James any longer.

my personal top 5 favorite luke cards (with rambling rationale ofc, by this point it's a standard in my posts kjbfajsfkf)

before i start, i'd like to note that this list is only taking into consideration cards that are available on the global server as of april 28, 2022 buuuuut already including Secrets of the Tomb event that only releases tomorrow cuz kjbkHBH IVE ALREADY SEEN LUKE’S CARD STORY THERE AND IT’S GOT A PLACE ON THIS LIST CUZ I RLLY LOVE IT!! this list also only ranks cards with stories because thats what im basing my rank on, so that disqualifies all the SR cards that are only audio messages and the MR card as well

with that outta the way, let's go from 5th most fave one by one to my most favorite of all cards thus far!!

5th place: SSR Alluring Gaze

this was among the first luke cards i ever watched and i was reeling from the sheer angst in luke's personal story 1 and 2. please, i said to this card. please be a lighthearted yet entertaining chaser for my angst drowned heart.

"you are safe now, my child," said SSR Alluring Gaze.

"thank you for my life," i replied

cuz this card is one of the VERY FEW LUKE STORY CARDS that does not have an HINT of sadness or angst. NOT A DROP!!! no sudden pain episode, no vague reference to "im dying soon and i hate myself for that", NADA!! im not saying that i dont like angst (if that was true, i'd have made a terrible choice having luke as my fave JHVSDFHKV) or that angst makes for a bad story. i Love Angst and it deffo can used for great storytelling.

but this card manages without it in a really fun and charming and eeEEeEEeee-butterflies-in-my-heart kind of way.

later on, i'd come to realize that my biggest criticism for some luke cards is that theres a tendency for the story to rely solely on the gut punch angst or to be oversaturated in it to the point it's hard to really enjoy what's actually going on. while the emotional ouchies are inevitable and also key to many of luke's stories, it's a disservice to him as a character to only ever be pursuing his narrative through the lens of pain. he is more than that and his stories can benefit from little less leaning on angst for emotional impact.

this card is 5th place because i think it's proof that his stories can shine real great even without any angst at all

4th place: SSR Shape Of You

if the last card made it onto this list because it was a lighthearted delight, this card is on the list because it was the first luke card to make me CRY REAL TEARS. FUCK THIS GAME. FUCK THIS CARD. FUCK MY LIIIIIFFEEEE----//sounds of my voice getting softer and softer until i calm down

anyway, this card hurt me personally. but it wasnt oversaturated in angst; it's a very lovely balance of shenanigans, mounting tension, and heartfelt emotion. overall, it's a hopeful card actually. but it hurt me because it was among my first (and most long lasting) peek into the core of who i see luke to be. particularly, one of his key desires and the flaw that comes with it:

hes someone so devoted to doing good for his loved ones and simultaneously so scared of hurting them that he places himself at a lower value because thats how he thinks he can be a benefit to their lives

like, ok, i amend my first sentence in this card. it's not on this list cuz it made me cry. it's on this list cuz that crying was due to me getting a deeper understanding of how luke thinks, feels, and acts.

if i had to recommend one card to somebody who knows nothing about tot or luke pearce, itd be this one. its story is a blend of the good in him and the not-so-good in him and paints a really clear picture of who luke is.

3rd place: SSR Overflowing Thoughts

hey, SSR Overflowing Thoughts, see how im hyping you up the night before u actually r gonna be available? do u see how much i love you? ur gonna repay me by coming home without causing me much pain, right? RIGHT???? //brbs to calm self once more

ANYHOO, this card. is Good. it's really frigging good. i will be scant with the plot details so people dont get spoiled, but i will tell you that this card's story is an AU completely different from the actual stories of both luke and mc.

and when i say different, i REALLY MEAN IT. luke and mc's dynamics in this card are frigging lightyears away from what we're used to and this is not to the story's detriment, it's to the story's extreme absolute strength.

basically, this story does what a great AU is best at: showing us how different circumstances, lives, and choices can magnify and emphasize the core traits of the characters that will stay present in who they are no matter what universe they're in.

luke's core is devotion. mc's core is hope. this card does a fantastic job at hammering those things home effectively in a really frigging great story.

pls come home, SSR Overflowing Thoughts. PLEASE.....

2nd place: SR Star in the Palm

let's give it up for the only SR card on this list, Star in the Palm!!! //CROWD CHEERS (i am the crowd)

THIS WAS AN UNEXPECTED FAVE. i got the card in december thru the xmas partyland boardgame like everyone else but then my brain went offline for a while and i only watched it in like, january i think. why did i wait. it's so good. IT'S MY 2ND MOST FAVE CARD STORY!!!

and it's my 2nd fave because the story is a wonderful blend of funtimes and feels, both those things working together to, again, paint a really lovely picture of who luke is.

this card in particular touches upon his fear of returning to mc's life. when i say this next bit, i say it with love: luke was a goddamn coward for a bit. he was in stellis way before he had first told mc he was, he had stalled on reuniting with her, he ran away from her. and he was scared of her knowing that, so he deflects and changes the subject and then

heres why this is 2nd place: mc is Not Fucking Having It. mc shoves chocolate into his lying liar mouth to get him to shut up. this card shows how luke is scared, yes, but it also shows how mc puts her foot down lovingly and makes it known that she'd like clearer answers. she wont force him, but thats what she wants.

and luke gives. both the answers and himself as a more honest person making more honest promises about how he'll act in the future.

it's the card that makes me rediscover (as if i ever forget, kJBSKJBDKF) why i love luke/mc so much: their relationship is ultimately about accepting fears and flaws and then---however imperfect the attempts may be---trying to be better moving forward

1st place: SSR Peaceful Place

why didnt you come home. WHY. WHY MUST U FORSAKE ME, LUKE PEARCE??????

this card is my top 1 fave for almost all the reasons ive mentioned before:

we've got well balanced story. like bruh, we get the cuteness of luke and mc ADOPTING A KID (that just so happens to be an elephant). we get 2 npc side characters, the Paige twins, who know luke from the NSB days and theyre the funniest faceless npcs ive ever seen in a card ever. we get the trope of oH NO, THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED! and then luke subsequently fuckin nerfs himself and doesnt take the oppurtunity (valid, respect women, but PLEASE DUDE, COME ON!!). we get the most heartwrenching scene on the planet when luke and mc have to say goodbye to their ELEPHANT SON. and then we fuckin get an action movie shoot out??? complete with the angst consequences?? WE GET MC KABEDON-ING LUKE!!!!!!

//wheezing. everything in this fucking card is my favorite part of this fucking card. theres fluff, theres comedy, theres excitement, theres sadness, theres a happy ending.

this card also is a great card that shows off a lovely picture of character, but here, it's not luke. like dont get me wrong, hes fantastic in this card. but everything we learn about luke here is stuff we know already. this card is good at showing off mc.

and it does this really well. it highlights what shes scared of, what she wants, and what she holds dear to her heart.

like, idk, now im going more on vibes here than anything that can be surmised from the story directly, but this card rlly feels...holistic. heres a full story jam packed with everything i love, filled to the brim with genuine character moments for luke and mc, and just such a lovely picture of their relationship:

filled with idyllic moments and dark uncertainties but at the end of the day, theyre both making their best effort to ensure each other's happiness, as their own happiness is entwined with the joy of the other.
