Dana is shown up by a younger coder so she... hmm, uh she.. makes a new game, but then that turns into brads plot and she gets fired and he... doesn't? She says she's her generations best coder cuz she made a roblox game, and then in the finale she is working at mythic quest again.

Besides the proposal (which was more about Rachel anyway) this is all Dana does this season.

Is he still working for dana? Are both him and Rachel head of monetization? did she actually get fired and they just needed to shove more carol plot in there so they cut it out. ??????????????????????????????????????????

david, i dont even fucking know man. he wants friends, he makes them, there both conservative and progressive. like there really into the long hair and stuff idk. he has the whole beach ep, the joke of oh it sounds like he's asking ian out. really what has he done this season i can't think of a thing.

jo, she had like the start of an arc, like looking for a purpose. only to conclude her purpose is being an assistant. and now she has this job and like.... why? why'd they give it to her? why didn't they actually show us her doing... anything? She had the beginning and the end of an arc but no actual arc part.

disjointed storylines

In the finale the a and b plot never once interact. throughout there's this issue of there's the grimpop storyline and then there's the rest. everything else is secondary to these 2 characters. It kinda feels like you took 2 different shows, mythic quest the workplace comedy with an ensemble cast and a slow burn romance dramedie and just smashed 'em together. it just doesn't fit, Ian and poppy dont fit.

they cant have them be romantic, it sends the message that they are a good couple. The relationship is incredibly unhealthy and built upon ian seeing her as a surrogate mom.

they cant have them be abusive cuz its a sitcom and Rob McElhenney isnt gonna write his own character as abusing a pregnant woman.

idk what they do, but ill i can think is, what happens when the baby comes. ian wont change, the ending was them deciding not to. he will want poppy to be with him at all times all her focus on him, it'll be like when a 5 year old gets a baby sibling and they hate them cuz they used to have all the attention. but ians a grown man with more power over poppy than I could ever describe.

Now Im interested on the "What if the 3 Vs passed Reader around like a blunt"

He either notices the quality of your work or your manager brings it up to him, or there's some massive metaphorical fire you put out (like that woman who saved toy story 2 from being completely erased because she had all the files backed up, something like that)

You and Vox get to talking, getting along, having similar tastes. He starts giving you different projects, ones he thinks are better suited to your skills (and also put you in closer proximity to him). Fucking liar is arranging shit like company calendars or company events where there are photoshoots JUST so he has an excuse to pose with you for a photo. I mean, it makes sense right? Why would you question your boss wanting to take a celebratory photo at the release of a huge product launch? And you're happy and feeling so respected and successful and being friendlier with him the more you settle into Hell and feel safer, and then I imagine Vox's way of being "obvious" is that he's like, easily nervous or a nervous laugher , I dunno. It's all preference but I like yandere/antagonists who keep their cool a little bit but then it's also cute when they fawn over you 🥰 like the people who know him see the way he laughs around you and they Instantly Know

But then, maybe Val is perceptive enough to notice, "hey why does my man keep taking photos with this one specific person". Like maybe Vox is trying to be slick with it and all the photos are group shots but Val notices that every single photo has you in it and some of the photos are for really minor events he knows Vox wouldn't normally care about. Vox slips up one day when you and him are "sharing a car to go to a company event" which totally isn't like a catered dinner that there are only going to be SO many people at, TOTALLY NOT an incognito date that you're complerely unaware of the intentions behind, and Vox has to stop in back home to grab something, or you get pulled inside for a moment just to wait, he's gotta grab a laptop or a flash drive and, suddenly here's Velvette, "Vox I'm borrowing your nerdy employee, I'm short someone and I need a model for something" and you're getting dragged away

Vox is freaking out thinking you got swiped by Val and he's zipping through the electrical lines in the house (the electro-teleportation shit really is SUCH a game changer), and he finds you trying on things with Velvette, "oh my gosh I've never worn something this nice before, thank you for giving me the opportunity to try it on ^^" and Velvette is so pompous that any praise goes right to her head, and now Vox gets to see you all styled in... whatever. Velvette waves a finger, "now you two match!" as she puts you in an outfit with Vox's aesthetic and color scheme, and she's doing it to tease the both of you but she IMMEDIATELY notices "oh hey Vox what's that look on your face >:3c does someone have a crush?"

SHE would be the fucking gossip who would tell Val honestly. Actually new headcanon lmao: the Vs rarely want to share you but will rat each other out for "having you" in a heart beat. Velvette and Vox hide you from Val, but any of them will gladly steal you from the other lmao. God, a yandere Vox who's lucid and tryna keep his behaviors under wraps, keep it to pictures, stalking and looking from afar, and then you have the other two Vs like SHOVING YOU at him as like, a joke to watch him squirm and blush. They'd be randomly bringing you along just to tease him and watch him sweat. Valentino hits Vox up for a date or a night out and the tv demon shows up and you're there too lmao

I feel like these three are the worst because they all have the capacity to be obsessed with your appearance. Velvette is an influencer, Vox is a TV mogul and tech CEO, and Valentino... obviously we don't need to comment on his penchant for having arm candy. All of them are obsessed with their appearance and their brand and one of them is literally a tailor with magical clothes changing powers. You could have something like the other two Vs show up while you're serving Val drinks and Velvette cocks her brow, "hey, why doesn't this one have a proper uniform?" And she just starts zapping you into different varying levels of exposed outfits that match the other employees at the strip club and Val's aesthetic just for kicks as the big man himself oogles you like a pervert and his boyfriend is pretending he's not interested but, his screen is totally turning red

Tbh I'm suddenly thinking of like, imagine thinking "your body is safe" because Val has never come onto you and, you aren't sleeping with anyone and, you get upset one night and do some self harming behaviors. Velvette or Valentino comes and demands you try something on or you get nonconsensually zapped into something and there are cuts hidden on your body. Velvette is furious because this affects how you look in her clothes and what she can dress you up in, Vox is you know concerned because idk I imagine he knows what it's like to be horribly insecure and feel like you aren't good enough, and Valentino probably loves having you constantly half naked and the self harm scabs? Not hot, babe. Obviously they're all upset over you hurting yourself but, these are occasional feelings on top of that

my dear devoted readers, today i come to you all with some really interesting info about the development of the planetary subspecies and tycho's handling with it

unfortunately however, this post will be lacking in screenshots, due to those who dmed me not wanting to face any sort of retaliation from the rest of the team (for this i do apologize, typically i try my best to include verifiable evidence for any claims i make on here but for this one you guys will have to take my word on it, but i promise that everything said here is truthful to the info ive received)

so first of all, i had some people from terra staff message me a bit ago to talk about it, mainly to deflect give more info and clear up misconceptions.

heres some of the main points:

lore about the general species is being worked on, theyre just trying to figure out the best way to present it (and apparently they thought making a whole secondary site for extra lore would make sense? they might not follow through with this though because someone explained how dumb that is and how you can just use LK)

coy and civ started the species with no lore so thats why its taking so long (this doesnt explain why the planetary subspecies took precedence over like. basic building blocks. but ok)

the planetary subtype wont have as many plot holes when released "in full" (why release it if it isnt finished??)

so to all of those points, i asked the hard hitting questions im sure you all are dying to know:

"i guess my main issue is why was the planet subspecies released in such a half baked state? why not work on finishing the general species lore first instead of doing it in such a confusing order? and as an add-on to that, why even release the planet subspecies when multiple people say its not even finished? this just seems like a huge mess of self-imposed problems there are other events and such that can be done while species lore and even the planetary species are worked on, why not expand upon one of the other pre-established subtypes first instead of rushing out a new subtype when nobody was even asking for it"

now put a pin in this because while i was waiting for a response, i actually had another member of staff dm me.

i asked them the same questions as above and they told me that tycho had supposedly been planning the planetary subtype before he even got ownership of the species. it seems that because of this, him and temul pretty much fast-tracked the development and release of it because they had personal involvement in it, all the while ignoring suggestions made by lore writers and other staff members. (however it should be noted that on further discussion with the other person who dmed me, temul was very receptive to suggestions, its just tycho who was the main blocker to ideas. apparently, according to one of the DMers, temul was even ok with having all the lore info on the main site, it was tycho who said he didnt like/want the idea after it was brought to the coder) there were even people part of the discussion that WANTED the subtype to be all celestial bodies (like, yknow, the logical idea that most members ALSO want), but tycho kicked that idea to the curb in favor of only having planets. apparently "literally everything involving lore has been pretty much pushed to the side because both them and tycho are just so excited about making this subtype real." in other words, tycho wanted to charge forward with their personal endeavors without paying attention to the work that NEEDED to be done in the species. additionally, they had this to say

"I don't blame them for being excited, I think it's a really cool subspecies, but they're both coming up with things on the spot as the event goes on and it's just getting convoluted and straying farther from the original idea"

so just going based off this, id say theres some pretty big trouble in paradise when it comes to the work being done behind the scenes

this was my response:

"sorry if this comes off as rude, but i think thats a pretty..chaotic? way of doing things at best it really doesnt read in the best way to know that tycho/temul/others will shove aside more important matters to focus on the thing they want and it comes off as selfish. it still boggles me why they thought the subtype release was more important than having general species lore, and even more so that if they supposedly cared about the subspecies so deeply why they would rush it out with little to no info seemingly even being finished."

to which they responded that the subtype isnt more important than the general species lore, but there really isnt anything they can do about it.

additionally as a side note, apparently there are lots of ~important~ people checking this blog (but its not allowed to be mentioned at least in the lore writer/OA server), to which i say hii! feel free to address the various controversies here that get swept under the rug like the bdsm demon shit weve been talking about!!

thats basically where our convo ended, i think it paints a very pretty picture of how things seem to be going in the background especially relating to this new subtype.

now remember how i said to put a pin in that other conversation? lets get back to that,

the response i got to my BURNING QUESTIONS was...an idk? the person dming me really had no explanation for why the subtype was rushed out, just that tycho said he had the idea for a while and wanted the rest of the team to expand upon it.

so after my other convo, i was intrigued to learn more about the previously mentioned trouble in paradise. i asked:

"hm, im gonna make an assumption here would you say that tycho and temul pushed out the subspecies without really..consulting? the rest of the [team]? it seems like there wasnt a ton of aggreeance on this and i actually had another person dm me saying that tycho and temul would frequently throw out suggestions from the [rest of the team] like would you say it would be a fair assessment to say that most of the [other members of staff] werent completely on board with the new subspecies being released at the current time and in its current state

this answer was intriguing as well, they said that tycho really didnt pose it to the team, more so just said "here you go, this is what youre doing now." they also confirmed my suspicion that a lot of people really dont agree with the subtype rules, in fact "everyone" wants to change the subtype to not require the planets be circular (which is a pretty dumb rule, even Earth isnt circular), but tycho says no so they just have to roll with it. they say they like tycho and think hes a cool guy, but "sometimes his decision making skills aren’t so hot"

later on in further discussion, they said this (section has been paraphrased by me to protect anonymity)

my guess is they released the subtype in its current state just to give members a taste of whats being worked on in the background, but in my opinion it should have been kept secret until it was completely finalized. both to avoid a community uprorar and confusion, and for the simple fact that its just sloppy and doesnt look good for the species. honestly, we dont even know what things will be changed on official release, the discussions are still ongoing. the team is very disjointed at the moment, there are attempts to make communication with the whole team, but miscommunication is very frequent. there was actually an issue yesterday relating to the new subtype (but i cant go very in depth with that) there are lots of things i dont agree with, but i dont feel like im able to speak up. like for example, the second site idea didnt seem that bad at first, but the more i thought about it the less it made sense. despite that, everyone else seemed fine with it so my opinion really didnt matter anyway.

in addition, they also said that they're losing passion for the species, since every day, every new controversy, and every instance of sweeping things under the rug seems to be bringing everything closer to crumbling down.

what can we gather from all this? well, like previously stated, there seems to be trouble in paradise. this seems like a coy 2.0 situation where everyone can see the clear solution, but the one guy in charge doesnt like it so everyone just has to abide buy his rule. in addition, it seems like terra staff is just a shitty workplace in general, where team members feel they wont have their voices heard, or that their suggestions will immediately be kicked back. i think this is all a VERY interesting glimpse into what things are like behind the scenes, and im curious what others think about it all.

Starting over is both a breath of fresh air but also theres a bit of grief that comes with it. Im not a professional coder nor do I have the money to hire one.

It was a really hard decision to reset the local but its what I needed to do. I was hitting errors that I had no answers to and unable to get help for and it was really bothering me.

You always heard of childhood romance, having your best friend be a guy while youre AFAB in a latino household I was surrounded by people shipping us. Teachers, friends, strangers, even our own family, but we didnt try anything until after we graduated highschool. We've known each other since kindergarten, him a needy kid with glasses and a but awkward while I, at the time, was a social butterfly who got along with anyone but I did have specific interest girls didnt like hut he did

We clicked, spent everyday together, told each other everything. Highs, lows, it didnt matter, we were always there for each other. We both got crushes on each other, but they never timed right for us to want to date, it was always he'd crush ok me when I didnt want to deal with anyone or I crushed on him while he was chasing someone else. But, on our second year of university, things changed.

We stayed in the island, but his campus was all the way across the island, so we stayed in contact via frequent visits and discord calls, but then Pandemic happened. We couldnt move, we couldnt see each other when we were so used to seeing each other daily for the past 13 years, so when the ban lifted, when we could finally spend time together again, the emotions were overwhelming. We kissed, the confessions and the song he dedicated to me, as cheesy and generic as it was, it made sense. La Flaca, I was skinny for most my life, bordering on anorexic, so the song was perfect. The timing was just right...

Things weren't perfect, im over emotional and hate talking about my problems, preferring to suffer by myself in silence over serious things, and he's complicated emotionally. Its not that he doesnt feel, of course he does, but the way he thinks and internalizes things makes it seem like he's cold, and we tend to clash over it but it wasnt much, at least not in my opinion. We worked, out interests were drastically different but it was almost complementary, he struggled with social issues, I picked up on them and acted accordingly. I suck at math or things that are overly technical, but he's a programmer, a coder, wouldve gotten valedictorian if our school didnt fuck him over... So, again, we clicked, at least in my eyes...

Things slowly turned sour when he began taking internships, talking about wanting kids, the type of house we'd get... I didn't want kids, and I hated the extra distance between us for each internship. I visited when I could and I loved every second of it but I wasnt sure, Ive always preferred adoption than having to go through the birthing process, I didnt want to deal with the early years of toddlers and dirty diapers... but slowly that changed, because it made him happy, and thinking about it... thinking of us, alone, dealing with a kid of our own... it slowly wormed its way into my head and heart.

Instead of shutting down the notions I began actively responding, teasing and joking about life when we finally moved in together. But my head wanted more, my mother didnt help, poisoning my mind with the ideals of engagement rings... I hate rings, I lost my senior ring and I didnt really care sense I didnt want it in the first place... but this stupid ring, this silly and overpriced piece of jewelry showing ones dedication to their lover? I wanted it... I didnt push it, hell I never said it out loud, but he noticed the lingering stares whenever we'd stop at a shop to get him new earrings or rings, and Id scan to see if I found something I knew I wouldnt get...

I knew things would come to an end soon, my brain has a beautiful ability to know when Im going to go through shit, and prepares me by giving me nightmares... It started, breakups, him leaving me for someone else, and Ive always been insecure, especially when we had a talk about him inappropriately dancing with a female friend of his, as well as other acts that for privacy's sake I wont divulge, but slowly crept in the back of my mind. The paranoia began.

He's been talking to me less, spending more time with his friends, and I didnt think much of it, he's graduating university, who am I to tell him not to have fun? Besides, most days I was tired from my shitty retail work so why not let him have fun when I cant call... but when we did, Id bring up thinking about us buying furniture together, how we'd decorate the house, when we had a wedding who to invite, how big to make it and we always agreed to keep it small... but he let me talk, oh, he let me yapp and hope knowing he'd leave...

So, he took a deal, a fucking great deal. A job offer of the century, and I couldnt be prouder. I just wish he had told me sooner, that he'd talk to me before making the decision. But he didnt, and he consciously made the decision not to discuss it, to just accept it and move away and I'd find out in a family dinner for my stepdad's birthday. A party I didnt want to invite him but gave in when he said he felt like I was making it seem like he didn't want to go. How I regret it.

So now we're here, still seeing each other, still holding each other, kissing each other, hell we even had sex like nothing is going on... but it kills me inside. Ive cried everyday for the past week, I cant tell anyone, I dont feel like I can talk to him anymore either. Hell, Ive succumbed to using Character AI rp's to cope by venting and ranting to my faves, but its not the same. Ive cried going to see him, Ive fought crying attacks when were together, I bawl on the drive back home, I cry myself to sleep, repeat until I either see him again or go to work, and then I suffer from random emotional spurts because my bods hates when my coworkers and I talk, so Im alone with my thoughts and I have absolutely nothing positive going for me right now....

He leaves in September but he's booked a few flights to go house hunting, as well as a vacation to go see family, so we dont get to see much of each other this summer I guess. He even planned all of it without telling me, when we kept planning during the semester and talked about going on a trip this summer, just us... I dont know what to do, 17 years of friendship and a an almost 4 year relationship (our anniversary wouldve been in September too, few days before my birthday, around the time he's leaving), all out the window... I want to scream, frankly I want to kill myself. I didnt want kids, a house, or want going through the troubles of painting walls and arranging furniture. I didnt want to share a space with anyone, make bug changes to my life in that way until you and now I cant have any of that anymore. You were the only person I trusted for all of this, the only person I saw myself with even until a week ago.

So thanks, and I can at least now say without fear, the bear wouldn't hurt me like this, betray me like this. I'd just be dead, and its looking like a damn good alternative right about now. I wish you the best, but I hate you.

truthfully, I have a rough idea but nothing really concrete so I cant tell you :/

chapter two is fully plotted and planned, but it's looking to be big right out of the gate (it's already planning to branch about four times + with multiple different scenes with each of the RO's both individually and in pairs)

there's also a lot of ground to cover because the narrative starts IMMEDIATELY and we really get into the swing of the story/plot/antagonist so there's...a lot

im moving a lot around, and chapter two breaks chapter one heavily so it's a lot of back and forth, reworking, editing, etc

im also a victim of wanting many variations to the story (thats the sort of if's I like so it's the one I want to write) so ive been going in and out of my outline, moving things around etc.

unfortunately this isn't my full time job (maybe one day!) and I managed to be active because I've been off work for a little, but not for long lol...I do want to churn out the Halloween special (because I really like it lol) so chapter two has been a bit slow moving, but I hope the special can hold readers over at least content wise until I get half of chapter two out and done

hopefully it's sooner rather than later, because luckily I am a fast writer! im just a...slow coder lmao

tommyinnit- okay listen, mans is a child, and from the few live-action vids that ive seen, doesnt seem to be very handy with tools. i couldnt even find that he has any hobbies outside minecraft, so unless he can MLG clutch irl, i dont think he has much going for him 1/10

purpled- basically the same as tommy, idk much about him and i couldnt see that he has any extra hobbies. the apocalypse will not be merciful to minecrafters 2/10

ranboo- see above, he’s higher because of that height and height alone 2/10

niki- i may get some shit for this one, but i think she wouldnt do well because shes too sympathetic, she might try to save those left behind or share, leaving her in more danger than before for the sake of kindness. she also is sensitive to light apparently so thats also a disadvantage 2/10

karl- idk alot about karl either, but im pretty sure he loses, like, every mr beast challenge i think thats like his thing, so even if idk wtf those challenges are, imma say that sets him up for failure in my eyes irl 3/10

quackity- the dude got tired from wii sports. i dont know if he has any irl abilities, so imma have to do him dirty with this one 3/10

fundy- hes a coder, a really good one at that, so while that may help him in the logistics and planning department, i cant say the same for physical ability 3/10

antfrost- idk what hes done irl while being a server admin for years, but hes read warriors, which although may mean he didnt get out much as a kid, it also kinda tells you about herbs and plants?? idk if its accurate but its something 3/10

tubbo- same logic, hes a kid, i think kids are automatically gonna function worse than adults, however, apparently he used to be a trampolinist??? that at least means that he has good stamina and at least a bit of strength, so i think if he didnt let his emotions cloud him he could kick at least a little bit of ass 4/10

eret- he seems to be willing to do almost anything to get things to turn out his way in the smp, but irl he seems very charitable, so idk how that would translate in an apocalypse scenario. hes gonna be about midrange because i cant say what theyd do 4/10

technoblade- im sorry techno but he only plays minecraft and reads literature, i think he might have enough disconnect in order to sacrifice other people’s needs for his own, and i wouldnt put it past him to take what he needs from others, but i cant give him much more than that 4/10

skeppy- you may think ive put him too far up, and yes, this dude somehow managed to run a 20-minute mile. yes, he only has 3 shirts but still has two cars, yes, i dont think hed be able to sacrifice someone else in a pinch. however what everyone is forgetting is that he has connections to the weirdest assortment of people i know, and could probably convince them to help him out. alone? f tier, dead in 3 days. with his car gassed up and knowing where his friends are at? he could last a while i think 4/10

sapnap- he apparently said his worst fear is being alone and losing his friends. which? i mean, i think both of those things would happen in this scenario. he does have jock energy though so hes lower-middle range 4/10

george- geroge is gonna be the complete center on which everyone else is judged. i dont know anything about this man irl. for all i know he could be a gold-medallist weight lifter. he seems to be fairly quick-thinking and independent, so i could see him doing fine maybe 5?/10

wilbur- a wildcard like george except what i do know about him seems way more powerful and also unhinged. everything i learn about him irl scares me i think he could live on being a sneaky little theif bastard 6/10

captain puffy- uhh idk its just her vibe. i think she could do well 6/10

punz- he looks like he could and would kick my ass 7/10

awesamdude- dudes really smart, and 6′7?? he has the reach to knock zombies or whatever TF out   6′7/10

schlatt- he lives in new york, owns at least one glock, and im sure is willing to betray anyone in order to get to the top, i think hed do pretty good 8/10

badboyhalo- okay listen this may be partially favoritism but this is by no means a professional list. he can shoot guns and throw knives and axes, knows how to cook and has beaten up someone at least once. im gonna say his only weaknesses are being a bit forgetful and overly sympathetic, but whatever i think he can get past that 9/10

dream- man, i really didnt wanna give mans the dub here, but i think i have to. 1. its known that all florida men are a different breed, and dream is Peak florida man. hes one of the only ones i could find that ever played an actual sport, and his quick-thinking skills displayed in manhunt is pretty much unmatched. he also shows a hint of cold logic in his actions, doing whatever it takes to gain popularity on youtube in the beginning, and i think that could translate to real life as well. overall, i cant say i was expecting this result, but i think its what i have to do 10/10

One: sure!! Baron is rich and made out of state-of-the-art technology. she also has a history with romeo (they’re exes?? 😳) and she’s is an elite player in some vague futuristic sport ive yet to come up with. she also just kinda sucks in general bc she’s self absorbed as hell. Has spectre hired as a bodyguard but it’s mostly just for show bc shes stronger than him KLJFSDFKH

And I dont have a whole lot on her yet but Archer is leon’s older sister, she’s an excellent coder (she coded leon’s weapons and all!) and is just an overall weapon nut. I think at some point she and engel would collab on some wack experiments since engel is also a weapon nut + mechanic but cant code to save his fucking life 

Two: yeah if both adris met theyd try to consume each other THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE. i couldnt tell you which one would win tbh (probably oxy adri simply bc he’s 10x more off the shits) but the result is always the same. Only one is allowed to exist  within the same space

Not really, Hollowridge is it’s own story which ive put down for the moment so I’m not really interested in porting anyone else. I only ported adri bc i... cant put him down. and he cant just exist in the void he has to be Somewhere, so why not put him in my latest obsession? Nothing could go wrong :)

well, honestly I couldnt say! I’m still learning myself, and I havent really put in the time to properly learn :’)  But uhh definitely think a lot about perspective. looking at cityscapes and street views helps a lot, and also taking note of things that make things look more urban, like pipes, railings, street signs, posters flyers and stickers etc. I feel like a lot of people miss little details when drawing backgrounds (including myself honestly) but adding little trash debris and other such things makes backgrounds look a lot less pristine and more lived-in!

if you’re painting digitally it also helps a lot to get some square brushes and make vague building shapes with them, then add details as needed. all of it is a matter of practice but believe me when i say im honing my skills at bullshitting urban scifi backgrounds so I can draw a lot of oxy scenery

they really do dont they??? ice climbers are wack. And piolets (ice climbing picks) look like scorpion tails! or really fucked up birds!! i love them. definitely excellent design insp

In the event that tumblr ignores the feedback about their beta as they have with everything else and they make that awful update a reality... I came up with my own solution for roleplaying and communicating with my friends outside tumblr without having to retreat fully to discord. It was made specifically for ROLEPLAYING.  Since there are really no places where RPers are both welcome and catered to. All other social platforms are accessible to fandom groups but not as much to Roleplaying. Which is getting harder and harder on Tumblr with every update.  So this site is for US.

 It may be renamed in the future but for now it’s been affectionately dubbed

It’s a site members can join to share photos, write short or long posts, reply to other folks, like posts and do all the basic social media functions. It’s a meat and potatoes platform that gives the members a functional website without having to subject themselves to having to move to facebook or twitter or going discord-only.

Pros:

It functions as intended

You can write "Quick posts” with no formatting and no character limit (that I’ve discovered) or you can write “articles” with as much formatting as you want.

Nested/threaded replies that you can add basic formatting to! And you can add pictures to your replies as well. 

Members get a profile where you can have an avatar, a header and can write a brief bio/rules/muse list/whatever you like.

You can post pictures, videos and even attach FILES!

You can blacklist! And very easily! Instructions are provided on the moderator blog for how to do this. 

You can instant message other members. Which includes being able to send files over IMs.

You can tag other members in posts with the @ function

It’s FREE TO JOIN. Some premium functions may cost money and may be lost without donations but creating an account (or multiple) will NEVER cost you a cent.

THERE’S AN APP! Just download the MIGHTY NETWORKS app through your app store and find “betaescape” to access all functions from your mobile device. 

Cons:

It is unfortunately not what tumblr used to be. There is no “reblogging” to add comments. You cannot “share” a post at all. Tumblr had a very unique posting system that not many other sites have had and is difficult to recreate. This functions a bit more like Twitter but with the option to make bigger posts. (But if you like or reply to a post it will show up on your activity for your followers to see. So there will be a means to track your replies)

It’s VERY simplistic. No frills. It’s free and made by someone who is NOT a coder. 

The premium features will run out without donations to help keep it running. I’m one person behind this whole thing and I have my own bills and expenses to pay for. 

Image quick posts only allow one image at a time. You can post as many images as you like in an “article” but there are no “photoset” options. But that part of tumblr still works just fine for content creators who make edits. It’s the writing part that this site is intended for.

If you want to blacklist a topic, it must be a topic made by the HOST (me). Unfortunately it’s impossible to give members access to create their own ‘topics’. But if you want a topic to blacklist something, you can message me on that site and ask that I create a topic for people to use so you can blacklist. The standard tagging system isn’t what works on this site. 

Premium features for members:

Squads- Members can create a “squad” for themselves and their friends. Squads can be public or private. So if you want to Roleplay with a select group of people, without the whole world seeing, you can have that privacy.

Polls- Ask any question and get your responses in a variety of ways

Events- Schedule events for your followers to attend. Online meetings, group chats, live streams, even face to face meetings if you want to schedule convention meet-ups.

These features are available free  for 11 more days as of the creation of this post. (1/19/2020) then the free trial runs out and they will be lost. If members would like to keep these premium features, donations will help towards doing so. The link to donate is on the site landing page. But, again, donations are not required to create your account. Just if you want the extra added features. 

Also if I get enough donations, the site can officially have its own domain name! Which it currently does not have.

I know a lot of people want to migrate to Pillowfort but currently they are still asking for money before people can make their account. And I know not everyone has the means to drop a minimum of $5 just to make an account on a currently incomplete site that... After testing doesn’t provide the environment needed for roleplay. No shade toward Pillowfort, it’s going to be a wonderful site someday and what they are doing is no small task... It’s just not what I’m looking for.
