Melora is an anthropomorphic European badger who dresses like an English woman from the late 1800s/early 1900s and is inspired by illustrations of talking animals from that place and time. Melora enjoys fairy tales and children's stories and is happy to read them to syskids or age regressors in the system. She also enjoys history (especially but not exclusively of the place and time from which she is inspired) and can take on a teacher-like role to other headmates. Melora's primary function in the system is that of a caretaker. She loves the other members of her system and does everything she can to make sure that they are physically and emotionally taken care of. This includes taking care of physical needs such as food and hygiene, but also emotional needs, such as offering comfort when other headmates are upset or scared. She is more fond of nature than technology and makes sure the system spends enough time outside. However, Melora has a less calm side as a protector and an anger holder. Melora is very protective of the system and can get very aggressive when she thinks members of the system are threatened, as well as when thinking about ways the system have been or could be mistreated. Melora will not hesitate to stand up for herself and the rest of the system or to cut off people who are hurting them. However, she listens to headmates or friends who think she's reacting too strongly and will try to restrain her anger if their comfort level requires it, and she does not actively enjoy being angry. Sharing a meal, not only from the same plate, but with the same hands and the same senses. Deciding what to eat together, something that fits all of your tastes.

Curled in the same bed, in the same blankets, in the same body, drowzily mumbling about nothing and everything to each other. Joking around and feeling their sleepy laugh as if it were your own.

Living life, and inviting them to share yours and your time in it--performing your daily tasks in the unison of cofront. Seeing and hearing and feeling everything together.

Feeling them blush when you flirt or compliment them. Feeling their joy when you get them a gift, or how safe you make them feel simply when you're around them.

Enveloped in the same love, from the same brain, with the same feeling of care for each other palpable between you. Feeling the emotions you feel yourself, coming from the other person. Feeling their love for you, in the rawest, most direct possible way.

This chapter broke me. The fact that the wife turned out to be a good person, the fact that after loosing everything in the war, Martha has managed to continue with her life has resound in me. It wasn't easy of course, maybe it was the hardest thing she had to overcome in her life (and this woman has been in two wars), but we are discovering this through her flashbacks, she is telling this as a storytime to Becky at teatime. So what does that mean? She already got over it, she survived. And you may think 'well of course, its been years' but i wouldn't judge her, i would even consider other reactions normal, like staying stuck in the past, because loosing the things and people you loved most to an absurd war simply is not fair.

Martha, you're so strong, i love you so much. I chose the picture of her breaking down after her performance because I understand how her dancing, having the chance to have a little of what she really deserved to live, could have reminded her of what it felt like to be alive.

A long, long time ago, I made a post about how just one hug could make ALL the difference for a child at risk of traumatization, be it a supportive teacher, friend, or family member.

Everyone is so angry lately, and I think we all need a hug.

Regardless of who you are or what you believe, in a show of kindness, reblog to share a hug.

Remember, even if you disagree (yes, even on those topics), we're all just people trying to figure it out. This isn't about whether we're right or wrong, it's about recognizing that we're all just human.

One of the reasons why I think that Spy x Family is so popular is that Endo got us to care about this family.

We want Loid to know he’s not alone and can accept being loved.

We want Yor to know she’s not an outsider to the family and is in fact normal

And ultimately we want Anya to one day know that her mom and dad won’t abandon her.

So the thought of them just being happy at the end and accepting each other is that thing we all want badly.

I never really hear about internal communication that isn't, like, straight up talking. So, We're going to share ours.

We primarily internally communicate through image sharing. Like, You think up a picture in your mind, and we can share these pictures between one another.

Or we get a "I know" feeling between one another. Like "I know you said [insert thing]" instead of actually hearing someone.

We can talk to eachother, but, it quickly gets drowned out and fades no matter how physically close we may be or how alone we are.
