Just binged the whole thing

Omigosh. "My Adventures with Superman" was super ADORABLE.

Never understood the apeal of a 100% Lawful Good overpowered invincible protagonist before, but now I do. I haven't even watched anything Superman-related before. Clark is such a good boy. A gentle giant struggling with his non-human strength, he went to the chess club to minimize any chances he would hurt anyone by accident. A shy polite clumsy and nerdy good boy from a good loving family wanting to protect other people and a nice girl he loves. Oh gosh, can I keep him?

The way he's animated, the detailes of his whole body language, gosh, animators did wonders with Clark's character. I adore the first part of the show before the drama, because cheeses, I haven't seen such a cute romance progression in a long time, when they both obviously like each other and they also can see it in each other. Loved it! Giggled through their romance like a schoolgirl.

I liked Lois, how both tomboyish and very feminine she is. This was so friggin' refreshing to see an energetic independant girl who is also sweet, soft, vulnerable and contradicting herself, not girlbossing relatability and feelings the hell out of any interaction these characters might have. In one moment I was displeased with her decisions, when she was hurt that Clark didn't tell her he was a Superman and told him there won't be any relationship between them because of that, it was a big "COME ON" for me, but I liked that actualy it was a product of a very girly tangled way of thinking, "You lied to me! Does it mean you were pretending to have feelings for me too?!" while crying. Yes. Yes, thank you, it was a very brief moment, but as a regular girl I felt itXD I love when emotional girls are depicted rightly: saying one thing, implying another, thinking the third, crying inside and outside how hurt she is on several levels over an idiot who hasn't thought about her feelings properly. Great stuff, approve wholeheartedly. Maybe the battle against brick-faced toxic masculinity in a female wig, oh, excuse me, Holliwood feminist never-wrong-doing girlbosses will be won someday with smart writing and kind-hearted life observations. We have a great soldier here. She also reminded me a lot of Roxana from Megamind, and I loved that girl a lot.

I'm also surprised how there were little to no of Twitter SJW-ness. Very nice. I also joked on the phone with my friend, that it felt very ironic, how there are more female villains (haven't count, but it seems like that), than male, and those angry bitches are fighting against the sweetest himbo on Earth, who is saving kittens, infants and grannies all day long. I don't think it was intentional, but in a current climate of English-speaking media - very nice.

Pacing wise, hm, with a purely comedic first part a really fast pacing was great, but on the second half with drama... eh. It felt very rushed. Also, well, as I don't know the lore behind Superman deeper than it is dispersed in the current pop-culture, I was confused with his alien origin, as it felt a lot like Invincible. I thought the whole schtick of Invincible was about, you know, the main twist, buuuuuuuuuut what's about Superman? I know it's kinda backwards to first watch Invincible then watch anything about Superman, but I had a big deja vu. Maybe I'll read some wiki about Clark, I was hella confused.

Overall great show, loved it. The strange, um, mad genius gay couple was something I wasn't expecting to laugh at so much today. And admiring anime Superman. Wow.

Itto x Reader One Shot: The Mighty Oni’s Ultimate Weakness

Content: Fluff, just fluff, Itto gets cocky again then uh oh comes Y/N, children are bullies

Itto loved to remind you about how much he’s capable of in any situation possible. Ranging from carrying firewood to Grandma Oni’s house or the one time he was able to win an Onikabuto match despite losing several other times before he claimed his victory, he wanted to show you a level of strength that you deserved. 

This day was the exact same motive for Itto, when he had challenged the rest of the Arataki gang, and some children, to an arm wrestling match tournament. You felt obligated to watch Itto challenge person after person, breaking several tables and chairs over the sheer strength that he possessed. 

Kuki was practically scrambling all over the place trying to repay the shop owners for their broken furniture, and to make sure the children would leave unharmed and to do nothing more than challenge each other and spectate the “grown-ups.” Although, Itto at times was hardly even considered one. 

The grown oni was still crushing the competition amongst his gang, laughing loudly as he felt even more fired up with every victory. He made sure to flash you a cocky wink every single time before he nearly broke a couple arms and hands crashing into the furniture. 

Before he could practically crown himself king of the arm wrestling tournament, you smirked with a plan up your sleeve. 

You made your way to the lone, unbroken table where Itto pumped his fists in glee, and sat at the opposite side of him. He was shocked to see you there, but smiling widely nonetheless. 

“Room for one more match, Itto?” you asked. 

He only bellowed and propped his elbow over the wooden table loudly, his hand extending to yours. “Juuust for you, Y/N. I should warn you, I won’t go easy,” he grinned. 

After taking his hand the match started immediately. Itto fake grimaced in pain while keeping your hands at a perfect equilibrium. You already knew in your head that your strength was in reality, no match for Itto... 

...but your wits were another question. 

“So, what’s for dinner tonight, babe? On you, I’m guessing since the loser has to pay?” Itto asked, slowly easing your hand down to the surface as you struggled to keep your arm up. “I’m thinking some ramen would be great, dango for dessert, and if I’m not totally stuffed by my victory meal, maybe a liiiiitle bit of-” 

You brought your face closer to Itto’s hand, and pecked soft and gentle kisses against his knuckles. You looked up to see Itto’s face grow red in embarrassment and loosened the strength he had over your arm. His oh-so gallant speech of victory turned into a stammering mess of utter defeat against you. It gave you a small opening, using all of your strength to lug Itto’s big arm to the table. 

The Arataki Gang was completely silent, staring at awe at the scene before warming up to a loud round of applause and cheers.

Itto was utterly dumbfounded at the stunt you pulled, still holding onto your hand tightly. Walking over to your starstruck boyfriend, you planted a small kiss on his forehead. 

“Hm, ramen sounds great right now, Itto! Loser’s treat?” you smiled. 

“...M-Mhm,” Itto’s voice cracked responding to you. “Whatever you want, Y/N.” 

You let out a small giggle, raising Itto’s limp hand in victory at the crowd, laughing and waving in glee.

Wolf sighs. Of course their heist had to go wrong. He sits in his room, away from the others, and stares off into space. He’s completely stressed out. He doesn’t want to bother anyone with his feelings, especially since they’re stressed out too. He’s stressed out because they didn’t make it out with the money, Clover got injured, and he just misses his family that he left behind many years ago. He lets out a low, frustrated and incoherent grumble before curling up in his bed.

Everything is taking a toll on him now and he doesn’t know why. He’s fairly open about his feelings but it feels like he’s been bottling them up for a while. When was the last time he ranted to someone? He doesn’t even remember. He wraps his arms around himself and slowly drifts off to sleep, thinking about all the things that have kept him up and feeling stressed. 

He wakes up a few hours later to the sound of his door opening. It’s dark outside now and the lack of light in his room at the moment makes it seem even darker. He’s still groggy when someone shuts the door and walks over to his bed before laying down next to him. Wolf lets out a groggy, “Hm?” and turns to look at the person. He can faintly make out who it is.. It’s Hoxton. Hoxton smiles a little and wraps his arms around Wolf. “Hey.. It’s just me, you’re okay.” Wolf relaxes almost immediately and leans into Hoxton’s touch. 

Hoxton and Wolf are both silent for a long while before Hoxton speaks up. “You doing okay, Ulf?” He knew Wolf was stressed. He always knew when Wolf was, since he wasn’t distant unless he was stressed and overthinking. Wolf shakes his head, tears welling up in his eyes. He can’t form any words, his mouth feels dry. He opts to turning towards Hoxton and buries his face in the British man’s chest, letting out a quiet sob. Hoxton is.. Surprised, to say the least. He quickly recovers and rubs Wolf’s back softly, “It’s okay.. Let it all out.”

Wolf finally finds the strength to speak. He rambles in between sobs, nearly incoherent and he hiccups and speaks quickly about all the things that have been stressing him out in the past month. Hoxton listens, still just rubbing Wolf’s back to comfort the Swede. When Wolf finishes his heartbreaking rambles, Hoxton presses a gentle kiss to his forehead. He speaks so quietly and softly, trying his hardest to comfort Wolf, “There you go.. It’s all going to be okay, Ulf. You’re doing so well and I’m glad you’re still here.” Wolf soon calms down as Hoxton whispers sweet nothings in his ear.

Hoxton feels the Swedish man relax in his arms and pulls him closer. They soon drift off to sleep together, Wolf being the first to fall asleep. Hoxton sighs contentedly, whispering against Wolf’s temple. “Goodnight, Ulf.. I love you.” He soon falls asleep as well, still holding Wolf tightly yet gently, as the stars begin to burn brighter in the dark, night sky.

Maybe telling someone about the things that are stressing you isn’t so bad after all.. Especially when they love you more than you could ever know.

Just started watching "My Adventures with Superman"

Because I really liked the amerime style and found a feminine tomboy (finally!) romantic interest refreshing. But otherwise I never was interested in Superman. Duh, he is everywhere in the pop-culture, but I don't know his character, his shtick and why people love him for so many years. Never watched any Superman movie or cartoon. Juuuuuuuuust read one bara comic with Batman, but it doesn't count. But wow... oh my... why nobody told me he is such a loveable himbo? Was he always like this? Or is this just a version of him for this show? I mean, logic tells me there must be a reason people love him for decades, and if the reason is him being himbo, gosh, then I could understand it wholeheartedly! Himbos are the best!
