Within the Inner Inn

^Might be the title of fanfic I just might have to make.

There’s Tim and Ruby, of course, as well as there son, Rock.  Nami lives there too.  This would take place after Jack/AWL-Protag arrives in the valley.  Nami will be the main character as she’s one I would feel most comfortable writing from the perspective of considering things.

There’s poor, lost Nami trying to find herself and a home.  I think I will lean into her having sort of identity issues as well, as I have gone through (and occasionally still deal with) myself.  I think the plot will be that Nami’s family was perhaps cruel and unwilling to be kind at all with her when she’d come out to them (as lesbian or bisexual or maybe even trans?) and she’d been on the move since.  In settling in the valley and taken under Ruby’s wing, she starts to find inner peace and learn to love herself as well as realizing that she’s more complex than a label would lead on.

I must admit, I intend to write her similar to myself in being more attracted toward women than men but technically bi.  Also in line with my own life, Ruby and the other folk of the valley will be their sweet selves in a way that will help Nami be more at home in her natural body though it is a process indeed!

The story will involve her intrigue in the new guy and potential pair and relationships with the other bachelorettes etc.  However, ultimately there will be some plot point that leads to her and Rock having casual engagement with each other...!  I’m not sure if Nami would still leave the valley or almost leave it, but the idea is that she would be pregnant and panicked, as would Rock upon discovering the news.

Tim and Ruby and the community around them would be overall supportive of Nami (and push Rock to man up at least for his kid if not for Nami too).  Tho Nami and Rock would have their tribulations, I’d like the plot to have them complement each other (he being too carefree and easy going, she caring too much and being tense from being stuck in her own mind too often).  They’d get their happily ever after together with their kid, and maybe have more too.

This could also lead way for Rock to and Nami to be inheritors of the inn as well, and then having a lineage to pass it down to so on.

I do think there could be a bit where the potential other son of Tim and Ruby could make an appearance and cause drama, haha, dunno yet tho

Came across a blessed post once again and it reminded me immediately of Sanuso for some reason. And not to make it angsty but-- But I want to make it angsty and say that Nami notices it bothers Usopp, so she has to start using her powers to actually get them to be together. But one thing leads to another, and telling Sanji to "go for it" and "why don't you simply confess, then? Idiot" turns into Sanji having a whole breakdown, crying on Nami's lap and telling her that he doesn't deserve Usopp/He doesn't want to ruin their relationship and... Things get too deep even before Nami can stop them. So she has to deal with it. Besides, she feels bad for the poor guy. He genuinely thinks Usopp doesn't like him back which, wow, he must be blind. But they end up fixing it at some point, don't worry. Sanji might end up confessing when he's drunk and Usopp might get angry at him for that but then Sanji speaks from the heart sober and genuinely one day and-- And Nami owes Robin money because she thought Usopp would be the first one to confess. Also, Robin and Sanji talking about their taste in men like that is so real and true.

I think he would like someone based on their merit and morale more than looks or anything like that.

A drinking partner would be nice, or at least keep him company while he drinks.

Can’t handle a crybaby. He can’t deal with it because he’s too blunt. Not that he doesn’t care just that well. He’s not the best at comforting someone who’s crying.

He’s pretty versatile, I think he would work well both with someone who is more reserved or someone with a hot temper. He is adaptable in dating situations. Though don’t be upset if he walks away from a big fight because that’s way too much to deal with.
