It's been a little quiet around here, but I promise I'm still writing! This fic is going to be a 20k monster at the very least (my final drafts are always longer than my first drafts), and I've been trying to make it to the finish line this month so I can start the long, long process of shaping it into something readable. Have some snippets of weird little boys, past and present!

Two years ago me barely even touched google sheets. Today me is constantly like “hmm you know what I could do with all this information I’m gathering? Make an intense multi tab spreadsheet as a quick reference guide :)”

the Tamora Pierce merch shop ending their merch line this month plus the Briarwick candles Tortall candle line "retiring in the coming months" is absolutely putting a dent into the funds I've been budgeting for Ren Faire and MomoCon and I'm totally okay with it
#i mean not okay with the merch line ending and the candles retiring#but okay taking the money out of my other fun budget stuff#fuck it I don't need anything from ren faire this year other than food and mead#being an adult means you get to spend your money on stuff you want sometimes#and this time i will be spending bare minimum $50 on wax melts#(and yes i did make a spreadsheet to inventory the wax melts i already have and prioritize the ones i wanna buy)#if i buy priority tiers 1-3 i will be spending $91 pre-tax and shipping (although shipping is free over $100 so might as well add 2 more)#but i will also own all but two scents in the whole Tortall line#and I don't care about Icefall and Diamondflame enough to get their candles tbh (and the scents aren't my fav either)

Do any other afab aros, aces, or aroaces accidently get the "spreadsheet lesbian" label from your friends? Since, in the queer friend group, I am the only one that remembers the queer agenda and keeps it moving forward for our portion of the lgbtq+ community that we have.
Like, we're going to the pride parade? Holiday party? Friendcation together? V is incharge of planning, organizing, communicating, dividing any duties, and all follow up.
Doesn't help that the rest of the group has diagnosed ADHD.

Okay sooo...in relation to my last post, which I will try and not verbatim, I am considering having this blog still be its own thing for Cars and all that jazz, still serving as my 'main' blog. And then having a separate blog(ONE. JUST ONE.) Where I put alllll my nonsensical ramblings or gushing or whatnot over other characters there. So it will be two blogs total. Just this one serving the same purpose it always has, and then a second one that will just be a jambalaya of "Oh I wonder what Kane has dug up in the mines this time. Let's go find out!"
How I am going to merge everything from my other blogs, I'm....not too sure. Since it'll all be just one big bang of different fandoms that'll sway a lot from how much I am or amn't fixated on them, I probably won't go too crazy with making different links to things like my S/Is story with them or whatnot, and I will just cut it all down to one carrd so there's not like five different ones to read through.
I think I will keep the other blogs simply as archives, if you will, just because sometimes I like to look back at myself losing my own mind. But I won't post from those blogs anymore, they will simply just be...floating around.

#i thought it would help to make a spreadsheet listing each scene in this fic#and the work that each scene needs to do to advance at least one of three arcs within the fic#unfortunately that process revealed there are actually five arcs i need to track#the good news is that it did help me sort some things and figure out where i need to add pieces for each arc#the bad news is that there are 24 scenes#so then i tried jes's color coding approach#and marked all the completed scenes in green (5!)#and the half written scenes in yellow (12...)#and the scenes that i have no idea how to write in orange (ah fuck there's 7)#my job for the rest of this weekend is to turn as much yellow to green as possible#and maybe eventually that will start showing me the way through the orange#i might be in over my head here#lafiwrimo
