thinking about the shinazugawa siblings makes my heart hurt a lot. genya my boy it must have been miserable as hell living your life doing everything just to be acknowledged by your brother you love very dearly and then when you did get acknowledged it's when it's your time to leave the world. what broke me to pieces was literally genya's last words:

and then sanemi's cry of desperation begging god to not take his brother away from him. there's nothing they can do and nothing in the world would be able to make time for the siblings to reconcile and live the life where they could care for each other again and that makes me physically ill
