I like to imagine that in an au where Meleanor lives and Lilia somehow still gets custody of Silver, like Malleus she is also initially disgusted by Silver before growing extremely attached to him because the "you love me, so you'll love my child" thing goes both ways.
A few hcs that I had while I brainrotted about this in Discord dms:
-Meleanor, like her son, is very fascinated by Silver's fast development.
-She is an easily impressed aunt/godmother and would heap SO MUCH praise on Silver for the littlest things. (and immediately turn around and strike Lilia with lightning for interrupting her)
-Lilia, on the phone(?): "Silver just said his first words!"
Meleanor, appearing in a burst of fire: "HOLY SHIT!!!"
-Sort of reflecting fae in folklore, she loves to kidnap take Silver back to the castle with her for "play dates" with Malleus, who will complain about it as he so very gently plays with the fragile infant his mother had trusted him with (he is a tsundere big brother)
-Revan always sighs every time he catches Silver in the castle because he KNOWS his wife didn't tell Lilia she took him, but he isn't unhappy to see him. Will include Silver in Malleus's tutoring sessions even though Malleus's curriculum is much too advanced for the average human, let alone a baby.
-Growing up, Silver calls Meleanor "Mother" because he hears Malleus call her that all the time. When he grows out of it and starts calling her "Lady Meleanor/Meleanor-sama", she sulks about it a bit.

He's an ugly crier, but we love him for it
Lilia is one of the characters who I cannot and will not ship my MC with. He's just so parent/grandpa coded to me. It feels wrong at worst and like a crack ship at best
Also Malleus is so cat-shaped. Big sack of attitude and beans

General Lilia who loves you so much that every time he leaves, he whispers a promise of coming back to you safe and sound.
General Lilia who spends his time keeping watch thinking about you and wondering if you’re safe and sound despite being the one in the front lines of a war that seemingly has no end.
General Lilia who always comes back to you first, dropping his gear the moment he sees you waiting for him and pulling you into his arms. His face buries itself in the crook between your neck and shoulder, pressing soft kisses and taking in your scent and your warmth as you laugh at his clinginess.
General Lilia who sighs in bliss as soon as his body hits the water of the springs. He sinks into it, feeling all the weariness wash away as he hears you in the background fussing over him and looking over his body for any injuries that he might have hidden.
General Lilia who collapses into the bed with you, his arms tight around your waist as he buries his head in your chest. His ear pressed upon the left side to hear the calming beat of your heart to remind him that they haven’t gotten to you yet and that you’re here and alive.
General Lilia who wakes up early as always, looking up at your sleeping expression from his place on your chest before pressing a soft kiss to your heart—his heart—then getting ready for another day on the field.
A/N: the brainrot is getting bad

u ever wonder what would have happened if Malleus got a furby instead of a tamagochi
Self-recognition through the Other
Malleus would manage to make a Furby a metaphor for life and death and the fragility of man somehow still
POV: you enter Malleus’ room at night
bonus drawing because the update has me in shambles

Fuck the timeline, everyone please consider an au where the Knight of Dawn narrowly escapes from a fight that almost kills him and as he's limping through a forest to find somewhere to hide and recover, the woodland creatures find him and lead him somewhere. He follows, assuming they're leading him somewhere safe, but before he can reach it he collapses from his injuries. As his consciousness begins to fade, he sees Princess Meleanor looking down at him and he isn't surprised that she'd been waiting for his end, waiting for him to join her in the Underworld where he'd sent her.
Later in the evening, Lilia Vanrouge is startled by the door to his quiet little cottage bursting open. His prince and pupils have returned... and they have dragged the injured Knight of Dawn back with them. Silver runs up to Lilia and begs "Papa" to help the poor injured man they'd found in the woods, completely oblivious to how Lilia's blood chills and his mouth goes dry because his son this human child had so cluelessly brought an old enemy into their home who also happens to be his father.
