Ok I got a submission about it so I'm gonna do a quick update--

I'M SO SORRY FOR THE LACK OF DAILY BASIL! Literally everyone is busy right now. I am Attempting to make daily-basil doodles in anticipation of reopening the blog, but basically several other mods are either busy, on vacation, artfighting, or otherwise unable to contribute right now

I've been trying to draw some Basils so that I have a few to use when we do reopen the blog entirely but it has been a Struggle. Apologies for the hiatus going on for much longer than I had anticipated oops

(mob is probably aware from the start that reigen's alive, in spite of reigen definitely not telling him, but he can't just go hunt him down bcos 'shishou has his reasons' and also 'who would run the business if i left to find him' so he just Deals. intersperse chapters of mob attempting to run a business and getting overwhelmed and calling his friends to help with chapters of reigen roadtrip fake death shenanigans. by the end of it reigen's started up some other totally shady business under an assumed name but like, right next door to spirits and such.)

So… I haven’t turned on my laptop in a while and uh… my battery is dead. Like, dead dead.

It still works plugged in! But this means I’m on borrowed time with it. I’ll need to transfer my stories and scrivener to another laptop or desktop sometime in the near-ish future or I may lose them.

That being said, I’m also moving home right now so that might be a while. Sucks but true.

That also being said… thankfully most of my writing is already on AO3. I can always restart the latest chapter and sketch something together in the worst case scenario. But this also means I may not update even longer now and :( idk man, it feels like so much is going on with my life and I’ve been wanting to write so badly!

Still not over the time Tighnari escaped a mob with the traveler only to find out he was actually talking to the Dendro Archon possessing the traveler’s body. And—while this was happening—the traveler was busy inhabiting the body of a god inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana, and no one is treating this like it’s anything out of the ordinary. Like. Ok. That’s how today’s going, then. Have a safe trip to the desert! I need to go sit down.

what are some tips to a vampire potentially wanting to get into persona 5...? (me)

ok first! if you're going to play persona 5, you definitely want to play persona 5 royal, as it not only adds an entirely new arc in the end game but it also remasters and makes the user experience much more enjoyable.

it's always a good rule of thumb to read the doesthedogdie page before getting into something as immersive as a video game, in my opinion! you do of course run the risk of seeing spoilers, but if you have triggers that you're very sensitive of then I think it's better to prioritize them. The game itself is far from perfect, it's over all very good until the scattered moments of anime fan service bullshit. I'll provide some prominent results from doesthedogdie and elaborate on what they mean in the alt text so I don't make a wall of text.

I also reccomend using a gifting guide to get closer to the npcs of your choosing, as well as using a guide for the multiple choice questions that decide how well hanging out with said npc goes. The latter is less necessary, but! when you reach rank 9 with most female confidants, you are given the choice to date them or not. Sometimes the accept and decline options aren't very clear.

one last thing, the final section does get kind of weird about reality. No fourth wall breaking, but it very much is around reality being. wrong. for a while

that being said! I highly, highly recommend the game. It has its weird and degenerate moments, but they are far fewer and far outshone by the story strengths. It's really no worse than danganronpa in terms of tastelessness, in my eyes it's better. The concept is strong, the characters are easy to get attatched to, and the gameplay is fun. I just only focused on the downsides of it the game because I think the warnings are very important.

im having a really weird mental day…everyone keeps posting about the new year and reflecting on the last year, which like obviously is gonna happen today. but i clicked on one of my old NYE posts from 2017 into 2018 and posted that 2017 had been a hard year and i was hoping 2018 was gonna be “my” year. i mean little did i know that 2018 was going to be a VERY hard year…and it just feels like every year since then has been hard. really really hard.

im really actually determined to make this next year my year because im so tired of being an NPC in my own life. im tired of being complacent and letting my own life pass me by in ways that are not making me happy and in fact, have contributed to one of the worst mental health years i can remember having. im so tired of it bro. in my bones, in my soul, tired of it.
