I just think this is the funnier chunk.#Lan Wangji absolutely is the kind of person who has a perfect internal alarm clock for when it is time to get up.#He already has a dedicated sleep schedule. He is accurate within 10 seconds of 5am every day.#I think the Jiang disciples are most likely used to waking up around 6:00-7:00am #But the allure of having a guaranteed time keeper getting you up in the morning is worth the earlier hour.#I imagine they started outside lwj's door and slowly moved closer as the weeks went on.#Now LWJ has to cope with being way too warm in the night from all the extra body heat.#LWJ is not a fan of this but they scamper off immediately after he wakes up and they at least show initiative to follow routine.#NHS joins in only because he is a chronically heavy sleeper and needs this level of intervention to get up early.#His boldness would be a death sentence in the cloud recesses but here? Whole new game.#Yungmeng Jiang isn't a lawless land. It's just a land with different laws.#And one of those laws is to forcefully domesticate the catboy coded Lan boy through any means necessary.#Completely different tangent: I drew the thumbnail for this before I did comic 134. I then realized they had the same visual gag.#So I had to space this one out so it didn't seem like I repeated the waking up joke. Priya is so blinded by her focus on the game that she shows little to no empathy for Emma feeling betrayed (after being lied to!) because she thinks it’s for the good of the game. Literally forcing her to answer and not showing any guilt or remorse. This isn’t Priya hate btw it’s angst because ugh! I love her! And she was wrong!

Quick interruption: This may (somehow, still?) be a hot take, but I swear to all that is unholy and insane, I've been sitting on this salt about the TB and Kafka since like May of last year. This isn't going to be a long meta at all, but I do want to make something abundantly clear on this blog.

I know that people say the 'mommy' thing jokingly because they have the hots for her (listen, I understand the motivation, I just firmly hate the term), but I know some people actively still believe that Kafka is somehow related to the TB even if her story quest has since entirely debunked that claim and proved the opposite. series 3 is so frustrating because there is like a shining core of pure diamond underneath the problems . like conceptually it rocks so incredibly hard. but the problems

#dr who #i am being so honest when i say ten should have gotten on his knees and begged for simm!master's life #they should have framed the bit between him and martha's mom so different #like yes it is 10000% in character that the doctor with his bleeding heart and loneliness wouldn't want to kill him #even after everything that happened. because he's the only person he has left. 'i forgive you' was PERFECT.#but literally anyone else that suffered from what the master did. Deserves to rip him to shreds. so very obviously #and like i know.i KNOW that i am watching the 'funny immortal alien saves people through time and space' show #but i actually despise the doctor being framed as like an all powerful savior. or treated like one. even for a little bit. is Annoying #the first part of the series 3 finale having martha be humanity's last hope was SO GOOD bc it like kind of set her up as like #having to grapple with all that responsibility and attention like the doctor does. everyone's lives are in her hands. so crunchy #but when it like slides into 'everyone pls believe in our specialest boy in the world The Doctor <3' it just. falls flat #i feel like with a couple tweaks here and there in the execution and like actual fuckinnn people of color in the writer's room #series 3 would be PEAK media. but as it is it's just. falling short.#i do really appreciate martha deciding to leave ten on her own though. first of all. qpp down. second of all #she's realized that she can't keep traveling with him. bc (as i mentioned) hes someone who simultaneously needs saving #and refuses to be saved in the ways that matter. chapter 1 + chapter 2... halfway to 60k

#a little over halfway really #I'd begun to worry about my progress but when I put it this way I feel pretty proud of myself #the crazy part... is that I'm still not even close to done.... ahahaha #okay. chapter one is pretty much done #I've edited all the major portions I wanted to change #just a small editing session and she'll be ready to post #as for the second chapter #I'm about a third of the way through with editing the smut #after the halfway point the word count will start exploding because there's a ridiculous amount of editing I have to do #what I have written so far for the second part is more of an outline than anything else #and then of course there's the whole ending portion #I think over 60k in total word count is 100% happening #70k next? haha... ahaha..... ha..........#laughing through the pain #(I wake up from a deep coma after producing 70 thousand words of aki sex) where....... where... am I.......#let's reach the editing halfway point by the end of this week!! played through tunic so fast i didn't even process anything besides filling my noteapp with "left right down up", but yo the production line for the obelisks? that was fucked

#tunic game #that was probably my favourite part of the game #that and i had a split second of witnessing one of those energy spiders dash away in the corner of my screen way before i ever fought one #and that was crazy #i was like: yo TF was that #tunic was good as soon as i got the laurels i was pretty much continuously dashing as much as my stamina would allow #really hyper light driftering it #my biggest complaint after seeing both endings #(i didn't 100% the game in terms of chests or upgrades but i did collect every manual page)#anyway my biggest complaint: needing to navigate by jumping through the environment with the teleport dash. specifically the physics #so many times i would be dashing over and over again into the ledge and it wouldn't be working. so i'd assume it'd be impossible to go ther #only to later find yeah that's where i have to go it just didn't wanna register me across #in general the physics kind of bothered me i'd get stuck in a knockback loop or once i was trying to roll some red skulls around and oh #my god #more than any enemy or boss. most frustrating thing in the game was rolling those red skulls #but the concept of the manual and the puzzles involved were so nostalgic and very very good #i miss when games came with a big juicy manual man

Time Loop Fuckery in Stranger Things Part II

Part I

#byler #stranger things #the way they talk about time is so interesting to me #bc has it been one minute…#or has it been mf infinity going through this silly charade #also this is part II to the previous part bc both scenes deal with this concept of a starting point/reset that I’ve noticed consistently #the first time it’s hopper on the couch sleeping #while Joyce is looking in the couch for the keys #the second time (that I know of) is in s3 when Joyce is helping hopper after getting beat up #instead of explaining how the hell she got him there #she uses vague phrases acknowledging that technically it would be near impossible for her to have dragged an unconscious Jim #and so she says stuff like #a while #and #slowly #as if us getting to these different check points is an infinite feat in and of itself #as if they’ve done this thousands of times already…#and so this reference to time in this scene and how one minute is one minute too long…#really interesting thing for someone to say who might be in a time loop…#also why is Murray acting like an NPC in this scene #the scene ending with Joyce waking up Alexei on the couch #really ties it all together tho #something so interesting about this concept of waking up as a starting point/reset #bc when a person wakes up they often have no clue who/what/where they are upon waking up #it takes a minute to collect oneself #and so once you realize what/where/how you are that’s when you go along with what you discover and go about your day #aka a reset is best for that situation bc everyone would likely play along #also reminds me of hopper waking up freaked that one time #bc he connected the dots something was off the moment he woke up and started looking for bugs in his trailer…
