The Gourry (Slayers) cosplaying as Nakago (Fushigi Yugi) was one of my earliest online pieces back in 2003. I've done a webcomic, and afterwards I've drawn so much from other fandoms including Rurouni Kenshin, Inu Yasha, and Hetalia. I also did a lot of Art Freebies while stuck in the hellhole /aff called GaiaOnline. Then came Hetalia, and i lost whatever scraps of dignity and soul I thought I already lost. Heck, the last draw was of some Hetalia OC's back in 2010.Th

Hopefully this helps motivate me to draw, even if it's not Zelda or LU related or whatever. I've had so many fandoms back then. I can easily go back to them again.

Except Hetalia. There's no going back there.

It’s got it all, the two of them sharing an intimate moment, reminiscence of a past together, the acknowledgement that they know a version of one another that no one else knows. Their bickering and back and forth, both of them being so pretentious and restrained and at the same time, utterly shameless and rude. This may be the best FrUK I have ever written.

In fact, this may be an important puzzle piece in my Irish Problems rewrite. I’ve been struggling with nailing down a characterization of Arthur that I like and that doesn’t feel neither too one dimensional, nor too divorced from his relationships and roles within my AU world. This Arthur, rude and yet loving, proper and so utterly trashy at the same time … this Arthur I like. This is an Arthur that retains his role as entitled but hardworking Gentleman antagonist he must play in the narrative of the story, but marries it with Arthur as a vulnerable young man who’s full of rage and grief and love to give in his own, awkward way. François manages to bring out a side of Arthur that usually can only be caught in glimpses. This drabble humanizes Arthur in a way that I’ve so far struggled to envision and flesh out, so it’s a great cosmic coincidence that you brought this drabble to my attention once more.

Do you have a Funimation subscription? If so, I need YOUR help!

For the past two weeks or so, there has been news going around that Funimation will be merging with Crunchyroll on April 2nd.

What does this have to do with Hetalia? The entirety of Hetalia is already available through Crunchyroll (albeit, with the episodes are out of order) EXCEPT for the Paint It White! movie and the extras for Hetalia. The Paint It White movie is at least still available for physical purchase, however it is the extras I have the most concern about.

The Funimation dub can be considered important to Hetalian history and culture due to how much influence it had over the western fanbase. These extras serves as a time capsule for when Hetalia was at its peak within the west and provides behind-the-scenes insight to the dub voice actors.

I am not sure if it will be 100% guaranteed that these extras will be transferred to Crunchyroll. Especially since I have sent Funimation an email (left) and this is what they've responded with (right):

So, that information is not too helpful. Aren't the extras provided within the DVDs? As someone who owns the physical copies of seasons 1-6: Yes! But do they have all of the extras? No.

The DVDs do include the commentaries, outtakes, and interviews, but it seems that the Funimation page has exclusive stuff like World Buffet, panel footage, fan appreciation cards, and more.

I cannot do this on my own because while I do have a Funimation account, unfortunately nowadays, when you attempt to purchase a subscription, it will only redirect to the Crunchyroll website. Hence, I am asking the fanbase to please contact me if you are someone or know somebody with an ongoing Funimation subscription. The goal is that we can work together to guarantee the preservation of ALL of these extras! i'm not the world's biggest fan of these 18 year olds in my freshman classes and social circles saying YOU'RE SO OLDDDD when they find out i'm 26(!) but it's totally worth it when i get to tell someone i was on tumblr in 2011 as a freshman in high school, before the shoelaces post was even a twinkle in that one blogger's eye, and the mix of awe and fear in these kids' eyes is just phenomenal. i tell them i was there for peak homestuck fandom, and superwholock, and dashcon, and the once-ler, and i even ran a hetalia askblog, and their jaws literally drop in disbelief. i could get used to this
