I've got a lot of thoughts about Phantom of the Opera and I'm going to go through them rapid fire.

Firstly, Carlotta doesn't deserve to be dissed as much as she does. Almost everything she does is reasonable.

She storms out after a set piece falls on her (which could have seriously hurt her) and the owners just brushed it off. Btw similar things have been happening for years at this point.

If THE Prima Donna (who doesn't have an understudy. Which is another failure of the opera house) can't expect to be able to work, then she should walk.

Sure, she comes back, but she's probably got some kind of contract with the opera house. She'd need to return to discuss ending her contract. Or at least empty her dressing room.

Most of the blame for refusing the Phantom's casting is on the owners and Raoul. Carlotta doesn't initially want to continue working there. She has to be sweet talked/ bribed into returning as the lead. So why does the Phantom wreck her voice? She wouldn't have upstaged Christine if the owners didn't beg her to.

And Carlotta is the better opera singer. She has almost the same range as Christine, and the songs she sings are more technically difficult. I haven't heard one version of this damn musical where the actress playing Carlotta isn't just as good, if not better, then the one playing Christine. Yeah, she might not sound better to us, the audience. But most of us don't listen to much opera

Hmmhmhm I'll probably have to say No Mans Land, largely just for the artwork. I've aalllwwaayyyys wanted to make a webcomic of some sort, and this is actually the closest I've gotten. I enjoy reading through it! I think the art all holds up very well, I like the pacing, and I wish the artist would draw more! oh wait lol

I could write a whole essay about the dynamic between Hickey and Francis Crozier, and like half that essay would come from the moment before Hickey is about to be executed, and he begins speaking in an Irish accent, before abruptly switching back to a British one.

There are so many layers to that handful of minutes alone. Did he decide it was finally time to drop all his masks, now that the crew knew he'd lied to them? Was it to mock Francis Crozier's accent? Didn't he later say that he saw Crozier as his equal, so was speaking to him in the same socially shunned accent an act of establishing that they are equals without question? Was it just a subconscious slip up out of desperation?

Also, when Tuunbaq attacks right before the execution, it's not Tuunbaq Francis tries to shoot immediately. It's Hickey, trying to escape.

That split-second shot of Francis firing at Hickey's fleeing back is just-man. They're being attacked by something that wants them all dead, but in Francis's eyes, Tuunbaq isn't the real monster. It's Hickey.

The ghost of Aero Mansion

“Ladies gentleman please stand if if you’re able” the officiant announced. Today was the day. Spirit Aero and Vanessa Votè were getting married.

Spirit is the only remaining Aero alive. She’s known Vanessa for 15 years and they’ve been dating for 7. Vanessa has been there for Spirit for almost her entire life.

Vanessa was waiting at the alter for Spirit to walk down the aisle. She stared at Spirit through tear filled eyes as she approached her. “Spirit, when I first met you I wanted to know all of your secrets. You let me listen to you and that’s when I found out that I loved you. You ranted to me about your favourite shows and video games, I will stay with you through sickness and in health and only death may do us.”

Spirit started to tear up as well. “When I first met you I thought you were weird. You wanted to listen to me rant and no one had ever listened to me before. You show me you love me by listening to me and I will forever be grateful. I will stay with you until I die. I love you Vanessa, and I hope for you to take my last name.”

“You may now kiss the bride.” the officiant said and

the crowd applauded.

The reception began after Spirit and Vanessa changed clothes. The two began to do their first dance. Vanessa was in a white pant suit with lace and Spirit was in a black tuxedo. The two of them danced to the rhythm of Toxic by Britney Spears (instrumental). The dance finished and everyone grabbed some cake. The duo never took their hands off of each other. The night was almost over and then they could go home together, as wives.
