The Primarchs at the Zoo

Emps is doing family bonding events again, so now they go to the Zoo

Lion: He gets into a staring contest with every big cat at the zoo. Needs to be stopped from getting into a fight with them. Otherwise very well behaved, just staring at animals and making notes. Fulgrim: There is one of those butterfly-houses where they just kind of fly around. Fulgrim is absolutly enchanted. Just sitting between the flowers and waiting for them to come say hi. He also definetly is wearing highly impractical clothes. Perty: Not quite sure what he should do, so he just ends up following Magnus and Fulgrim around. Get‘s to save them, because he thought about taking a powerbank and charging cable with him! Jagh: the pony riding thing is only for kids. This makes Jagh very sad. But he can tell Magnus about all the animals he knows from Chogoris. Tries to steal a horse, a yak and a camel for Magnus (not necessarely in that order) Leman: Wants to befriend every dog and wolf and similar animals. Will bark at them. Then ends up clinbing into one of the enclosures to pet the doggos and get‘s chased away by security. He stole a puppy tough! (Malcador forces Leman to bring it back, because it would be really sad without it‘s parents) Rogal: Not all that interested in the animals, but he really enjoys looking at the architecture. Brought a little sketchbook along for making notes, and some noise cancelling headphones. His siblings still get him to look at some animals and that‘s how everyone learns that Inwit is apparently full of ice-age megafauna. Rogal is just confused why the animals at the zoo aren‘t fluffy Konrad: He was very unhappy at first because there are so many people and it‘s loud and bright and smells. Then Fulgrim bought him some cute sunglasses from the Zoo Shop and Rogal gave him the printed out guidelines for how to care for the diffrent animals, so now Konrad can controll if the zoo is following the rules. As with every family-outing, he has visions of inevtable doom Sang: He is so excited! But some of the animals are very confused by his wings, either thinking he is one of them (very cute, Sang is very happy) or he is prey. Lion needs to buy him ice cream. Well he doesn‘t need to, but it comforts Sang. Then they go to the petting zoo and the goats start chewing on his wings. Sang somehow finds this very cute

Ferrus: He is making artistic photos of Fulgrim. After a while he still get‘s bored with this and goes to listen to Robs animal trivia Angron: Absolutly no one expected him to just plop down in the pettong zoo and feed goats for the rest of the day. The goats are climbing onto him and Angron is just happy. It is very hard to get him home again, Rob: The logistics of running a zoo! He is so excited about that, he nearly forgets they are there for the animals. He made sure to read up on trivia about every single animal in the zoo and now shares this knowledge with his siblings. Morty: He also wants to watch butterflies, but Fulgrim is allready there… after a while they start talking and Morty starts infodumping. Fulgrim finds this too cute. They are later seen walking out of the toilet all disheveled. Things definetly happend Magnus: He is here to do research. Yes, this involves stealing some of the animals. The most dangerous ones around actually. E told him not too, but who would Magnus be if he actually listend? Horus: He is spamming the family chat with photos of well, mostly himself. Sometimes there are animals in the background. Somehow ends up in the penguin enclosure and get‘s soaked. He isn‘t bothered, because the wet shirt accentuates his muscles, but he still get‘s kicked out of the zoo. Emps is very disappointed Lorgar: Not quite sure what he should do at first and kind of ends up wandering around alone. Then runs into Sang at the petting zoo and the goats try to eat his books. They then spend the rest of the day together Vulkan: All those baby animals! He might die from cuteness! He‘s making a ton of photos to share later, including a lot of embaressing things his siblings did. Corvus: They are nowhere to be found at first. Later Vulkan finds them sitting in the birdhouse, petting all the birds. Somehow the zookeepers haven‘t noticed. Konrad does not like this, as it is against the rooms. Alpharius Omegon: They have blended into the masses. No one knows what they did all day, but they return to the spaceship covered in plushies, cheap souvenirs and baby animals. Malcador also forces them to bring the animals back

Bonus: Emps: This was a fantastic idea, he is very proud of himself. Loudly yells about every cool animal he sees Malcador: He is highly stressed out. Why did they decide to make so many kids? Next family trip he‘ll just stay at home Valdor: He pays for everything.

I know that sotr was hearthbreaking enough, but now imagine Peeta writing a letter to Effie inviting her to 12 and telling her how much he, Katniss and Haymitch miss her. Not realising that she’s ubeen in love with Haymitch for quite some time and hopes that he might be doing better, now that everything is over.

The first time since Plutarch forced that damned job upon her she’s truly happy. Till the first evening she spends there. They eat dinner at Haymitch‘s as they usually do and she just can’t stop staring at the lovely drawing in his living room that Peeta made for him, because as she sits there looking at the portrait of the stunnig young woman with the wild hair and bright smile, she realises that she never was even an option.

She still stays. She takes care of Haymitch as she always did. She cleans the house and she washes his clothes. She even overcomes her fear of the geese, just to be able to feed them, when Haymitch lies blacked out on the couch again. She asks Peeta to teach her how to cook, which she couldn’t do till that point, because as her mother used to say „You don’t need to know how to cook, because you don’t need another chance to eat more and someone who looks and behaves as horrid as you, will never have a husband to cook for anyways.“ (every time she looks at that beautiful portrait she believes it a little bit more) just so the kids don’t have to spend every meal with Haymitch so he wouldn’t starve. Effie Trinket does her best to keep him sober, as she always did.

But that doesn’t seem to be enough. She doesn’t seem to be enough.

Can we cry talk about „Would you fall in love with me again“?

The doors creaking open in the beginning? After having been closed for everyone else?

The way the melody is moving slower, almost hesistant and still strong and clear in its notes in the forst half and then grows stronger as penelope‘s ruse turns out to prove he‘s the real odysseus? How that just makes me feel their emotional rollercoaster??

Also when talking about penelope‘s ruse(s): she‘s just as cunning and witty as ody, which makes them so perfect for each other amyway but how the first „penelope“ sung after she reveals it to him is so … fond??

(also can we talk about how this simple question - asking odysseus to carry out their wedding bed to make him prove it‘s him - is so incredibly mirroring of how odysseus used his wit himself in the beginning, before thr underworld saga?)

About how penelope in so many ways mirrors odysseus? In the way she‘s insisting he‘s still her husband, refering to him as her husband with the same defiance and love that odysseus has had, during the whole saga, when calling penelope his wife?

About the final time, the last time we once again here the „just a man“ melody just when he found her again??

How the last words, sung in the whole musical are „i love you“?

It hurts. Although the realisation that it‘s silly is always with me, because I didn’t even know you, didn’t even care much when you were still here. It‘s a major regret.

I feel like I‘m disrespecting people who actually knew you, actually lost someone they knew and loved. I‘m just - I don’t know what. Weird for sure. But one thing I‘m not, dishonest. Do new Star Trek writers not know the significance of a handshake to vulcans? Or fans? I literally saw a video of snw Spock and Kirk shaking hands and people commented „the beginning of a legendary friendship“, „aww such good friends“ ???

First, they probably get training on how not to sexually harass aliens so Jim what are you doing???

Second. Kisses are only with the fingertips. So the handshake was like „are you down to make out in front of ur colleague“ and Spock fucking accepted.

I am so sorry for the late reply, this has been in my inbox since January! Though I thought I‘d be back, life had other plans for me.

But to answer your question right away: the First chapter of the trilogy’s third and last part will be released next month !

I said it and I won‘t take it back :)

If you’re still interested in the story you‘ll only have to wait a few weeks 🫶

I don’t want to tell you too much about what will happen, but the character‘s breaking points will be reached and decisions will be made. There‘ll be lots of angst & drama but also comfort and fluff. 🤭

I don’t know if you‘re (or anyone else) is still waiting for the third part, but if you are, I appreciate your support! ❤️ I was so close to just abandon the fic, but if at least one person will read and enjoy it, all the work was worth it in the end :)

Tw: Talking about Thomas Barrow‘s CYOP storyline in season 5 of Downton Abbey.

To those people who decided to cut these two scenes from DA Season 5 with Thomas and Phyllis which explain what Thomas was really doing in London and show how much Phyllis actually cared / knew and how she wanted to talk Thomas out of it..

I will never forgive you.

The scene with Phyllis saying 'I don‘t believe you can change a person‘s nature with drugs and electric shocks' is not just an explanation for those who didn‘t understand what Thomas was doing in London but also a statement that some people might still need to hear today..

Phyllis mockingly asking Thomas ‚So you feel differently about women now..?'

Only shows that she knew that it wasn’t working and wanted to show Thomas that he should stop for his own sake.

But Thomas was too determined.. too stubborn to admit it. Especially in front of Phyllis Baxter.

The scene in the backyard with Phyllis saying 'I wish you would tell me what you‘re doing with this syringe' just shows how much she cared about him and wanted to make sure Thomas is not doing something stupid.

She already had a feeling that it wasn‘t something good and she stubbornly wanted to know more about it even though Thomas constantly pushed her away and told her to mind her own business.

And in the end.. she was right..

I think these scenes would have been helpful in the series not only to show how much Phyllis really cared and knew but, more importantly, to explain and show people what the 1920‘s were like for people like Thomas and what was really happening behind the scenes.

The whole storyline felt a bit brushed over and they could have made so much more with it. It robbed us of some true friendship moments and I will forever be mad about it.
