Never actually stated that but since some people got annoyed with me because I ship hayffie, because he loved lenore dove, well let me tell you I also ship wiress and beetee. I hc that his wife and second child died at childbirth and after a while he moved on. Which doesn‘t mean he doesn‘t love them anymore or forgot them, it just means he loves someone else too.

And hot take but:

I shouldn’t have to need to defend myself on the things I imagine that happend in a fantasy novel. Maybe it‘s because I grew up in the marauders fandom but something I learned is that a ship doesn‘t have to be:

canon,

possible,

plausible,

perfect,

healthy,

normal,

or even legal,

sometimes the people that ship it don‘t even want it to be canon, they just ship it because it‘s fun.

When I was younger people shipped Elsa with Jack Frost and they‘re not even in the same universe.

If you don‘t like something don‘t interact with it and you wont have to see it again. You could also block accounts who post about things you don’t like. It is perfectly alright to ask someone why this is their opinion an also state your own if it fits, but don’t hate.

It is pretty simple actually.

And one more thing, if someone actually does list reasons why they like/dislike a character/ship and someone correctes them about facts or quotes they got wrong, with correct facts or quotes it‘s not undermining of opinions it just a correction.

Honestly I think we should be really thankful for all the Effie-antis. ☺️

Because their way of arguing and defending their point, provides us with a wonderful insight into Coins thoughts as she wanted a last „symbolic“ hunger game and decided to execute everyone who’s left of the games, excluding the victors.

And that is actually really helpful, kind and considerate of them. 😌

just read what you reblogged about effie on march 24 (about the way everything she did was for sb else and how capitols of lower ranks do not have a choice either even if they are in a privileged position) and hell yeah you're so right. even though the new book kind of strips effie of her agenda and renders everything she ever did involuntary (and i do so dearly love effie who wanted to work for the games and dreamt of the spotlight) that makes her even more morally grey and adds to her character more than just the fact that she opened her eyes 'cause of haymitch and stayed in the games for him. I would hate to have another book even if it was focused on effie (maybe especially if it was focused on effie) because sadly you can see how with each new book the writing declines in quality, but as a fandom I think we can work with this new reality of her character and make her even more interesting than she was before. if you even have any thoughts on effie, please do post them, I will be delighted to read them!

I don't personally think that the writing declined in quality but it's just my opinion. 😌

Thank you so much though, it doesn't happen often that people actually understand how complex she is as a character, so this made me really happy. 🫶🏻

Especially after being asked as to why people would like Effie even though she isn't even that relevant. (The last anon I replied to) Which I don't mean as an insult, I love anyone who interacts with my blog. 💕 But it makes me sad when people don't understand such characters.

As far as I can remember Mockingjay is not the only book in the series. Also, I don‘t know you because you decided to stay anonym, but you don‘t seem to be all to invested in any fandom, because I remember that people always have and always will fall in love with „irrelevant“ side charcters like Andromeda Tonks or Emma Anemone. And if I remember right Annie also wasn‘t that relevant. You‘re right though she isn‘t that relevant in Mockingjay, but what happened to her in Mockingjay is. It proves that she was on their side, or atleast not on Snows. Effie Trinket is a complex character, she is morally grey and it‘s hard to know her motives, if she was a man people would love that. Effie was a pawn in Plutarchs and Snows games, her life choices have been made for her. Her torture and her almost execution are just collateral damage and Katniss didn‘t even spare her a thought in the entire time of mockingjay. She was the prove that not everyone in the capitol is a monster, that not everyone in the capitol was truly safe and that people can change. I love her because she doesn‘t seem relevant, because it proves how much people will only see the world in black and white.

Also if you don‘t like her or simply don‘t care, why do you care about my opinion? I‘m genuinly curious. Also when you interact with blogs who post about her you will see more of such posts, just so you know ☺️
