Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III Chapter IV Chapter V Chapter VI Chapter VII Chapter VIII Chapter IX Chapter X
Summary: A fight with Neteyam makes you run to the forest with the rest of the Sully kids, right into the arms of the enemy. You come face to face with a man you never thought you'd ever get to see.
Pairings: Neteyam x Avatar!Reader
Word Count: 10,2k words
Warnings/notes: smut(18+, minors DNI!), angst, mentions of death, disease, blood, violence, cursing, SPOILERS for ATWOW
A/N: I am writing this at 2am, so my apologies for any grammar errors, I am exhausteddd!! I don't know if you can tell, but I am actually really struggling writing any of the scenes (particularly action scenes) from the movie, and describing what is happening on the screen is the bane of my life. Also, sometimes I can't understand what the dialogue is and I can't find the script or english subtitles and it makes me unnecessarily upset. Also my inspo for the dad is Oscar Isaac cause wow what a man. Can he be my daddy too? Hahahaha ok i'm so tired i'm gonna go to sleep enjoyyy x
Remember when I hit the brakes too soon? Twenty stitches in a hospital room
When you started crying, baby, I did too, but when the sun came up, I was looking at you
Remember when we couldn't take the heat? You walked out, you said "I'm setting you free"
But the monsters turned out to be just trees, when the sun came up you were looking at me
You watched Neteyam leave the comfort of your shared tent and you instantly knew he felt horrible about what he said. You knew he didn’t mean it, but in this moment, you didn’t care. He had to have meant it to a certain degree for it to come out so easily out of his mouth.
As you were preparing to leave, unable to spend the night in this place, in this tent, where everything hurt, where every corner had photos and trinkets and memories that you couldn’t bear look at in this moment, you heard a squeaky voice you loved break through the unbearable silence. You were a mess, you knew, paint splattered all over your face, neck and torso, seeping into the woven fabric of your top, but you wouldn’t deny her - you couldn’t.
“Come in, Tuk-tuk.”
She gently opened the flap and walked in sheepishly, carrying your mother’s guitar that you gifted to her almost a year ago.
“I’m sorry about Neteyam.” She looked so sad you almost started crying again, this pure soul who felt and cared for everything around her, listened to everyone and always made you feel important, always made you feel heard.
You knelt and opened your arms in her direction, and you saw her place the guitar carefully on the ground and run into your open arms.
“Oh, my dear girl, you have nothing to be sorry about. That is between me and him, it has nothing to do with you, alright, baby?”
“But it does have to do with me, because he is wrong. You have a family, you have always had a family. We’re your family. Sullys stick together.”
The tears started as if completely independent from the rest of your body, and you couldn’t stop the cry that made its way out of your throat without your consent. This little girl you loved so much managed to undo so much of her brother’s mistakes in just a few words, and you felt so grateful to have her in your life, so grateful to have someone to call a sister.
“Baby, I was going to go wash this whole day off, would you like to come with me? We can take Neyn, we can bring the guitar, you can sing to me the song I showed you?”
“Yay, adventure time!”
You chuckled at this 9 year old who reminded you a lot of Lo’ak at her age, always up for new experiences, as long as it avoided the boredom of the mundane. You knew you were going to get in trouble with Jake and Neytiri for taking their youngest away at night, but right now you just needed to be away from here, and you couldn’t find it in your heart to turn away this precious soul who just made you less miserable in just a few minutes.
You sneaked out of your tent, feeling stupid for feeling like you had to sneak out in the first place, like you were an unruly teenager, not a full-grown adult who just got her heart broken by her mate. He should be sneaking out. As a matter of fact, he should be sneaking in, begging on his knees for your forgiveness, like he used to when he was young. I guess that’s just another thing that has changed in the year you have become mated. You signalled for Tuk to get on your ikran, who was dozed off next to the rest of your family’s, and you cursed yourself for waking her up after such a traumatic day.
“I’m sorry, sweet girl.” You said with a kiss on her snout, and she cooed affectionately at you. You made the tsaheylu and you couldn’t feel any fear, anxiety or frustration in her thoughts, which put your mind at ease a little, and, with a hand on the neural whip and the other wrapped tightly around Tuk’s chest, you took flight.
It was a short trip to the cave you and Neteyam come to all the time, the one that had a small subterranean lake that you would sometimes wash in. The water was absolutely freezing, never seeing the light of day, but it was peaceful and clean, and that sounded as good to you as heaven right now. You dove in without a second thought, the freezing water inundating all your senses, healing all the wounds that were scratching painfully at your heart.
Why would he say that?
I mean, you did attack him about saving his baby brother, who would have probably died if it wasn’t for him.
He should’t have to keep saving Lo’ak at his own expense.
He shouldn’t have to, but he does. Lo’ak wants to prove himself, and Neteyam is a protector by nature. It’s like asking water to not be wet.
I want to kill Lo’ak.
No, you don’t. Because you understand Lo’ak. You’re sad for Lo’ak, for always living in his brother’s shadow, for always getting the cold shoulder from his dad, who you also know is just being harsh because he has to be, because no one else can be.
What if he dies? What do I do then?

Your mind didn’t have a quippy answer to that - or any answer at all. You were left alone, with no answers and enough terror to fill this whole floating cave and overflow around it. You emerged from the water and got on your back, just floating aimlessly, trying to get your heart to stop pounding in your chest and the tears stop pricking at your eyes. What if he dies?
“Can I swim with you?”
Tuk’s question pulled you out of your frightened contemplation, and you realised you have probably been unnervingly quiet for too long.
“It’s really cold, Tuk-tuk, I don’t want you to get sick. How about I take you to a warmer lake tomorrow and we can swim together, would you like that?”
“YES!”
“Can I come, too?”
The deep voice stopped you in your tracks, and you almost drowned when your feet stopped paddling underwater to keep you upright.
“NETEYAM!” Regardless how upset Tuk was at her older brother’s words, Neteyam would always be her favourite. Her favourite sibling, her favourite family member. Some people in the village loved asking Jake and Neytiri whether Tuk was more a mother’s or a father’s girl, but in reality, Tuk was her brother’s girl.
“Hi, Tuk. What are you doing here? You want to give mother and father a heart attack?” The little girl’s face was nestled in Neteyam’s neck, hidden from sight behind his long braids that moved as she chuckled.
“I wanted to keep my sister company.”
“You need to go to sleep, parultsyìp. How about I take you back home and then I can keep her company?”
“Will you apologise?”
Neteyam shifted uncomfortably on his feet, and looked to the ground - he was embarrassed.
“Yes, I will apologise. Come, let’s go.” He let her down and patted her back affectionately to get her to go ahead before him.
“Please don’t leave? I’ll come as soon as I make sure she’s with my parents.” He looked at you pleadingly, begging you silently. A year ago you would have ran for the hills, took off to not be found by anyone, but just like so many other things, this has also changed. You weren’t a child anymore, careless and impulsive, controlled by your never-ending grief and anger; you had to be better. You were someone’s daughter now, someone’s mate, someone’s sister. You were a future Tsa’hik, you were one of the best warriors in the clan. People depended on you. Despite what Neteyam so cruelly told you, you did have a family. And he was part of it. So you would wait.
You nodded without looking at him, and you heard him sigh in relief. He placed something on the ground before he turned on his heels with Tuk in his arms, and you noticed with a sudden burst of pain felt all within you that it was a flower bouquet. That’s why he took so long…
You washed yourself properly now that you were alone, and when you got out, you noticed the guitar that Tuk forgot to pick up with her still resting on a wall of the cave. You sat next to it, back resting on the same wall, and picked it up, your mind immediately wandering to your mum. With everything going on around you, you have not been able to visit the Tree of Souls after your consciousness transfer. It’s been a year since you saw your mum as you lay dying and you regretted every day not going back to visit, to see if you could see her again, see if Eywa would be able to bring her back to you, at least in this way. The guitar was tiny in your hands now, but you could still play the chord if you were really careful. You started strumming a song, and let yourself sing to let out the hurt and fright.
Looking at it now, it all seemed so simple, we were lying on my couch, I remember
You took a Polaroid of us, and then discovered the rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming colour
Your bracelet hanging from my hand, the night we couldn’t quite forget, when we decided
To move the furniture so we could dance, baby, like we stood a chance, two paper airplanes flying
And I remember thinking, are we out of the woods yet? Are we in the clear yet?
Are we out of the woods yet? Are we in the clear yet?
“Well… we are definitely out of the woods.”
You saw Neteyam’s shadowy figure slowly walking towards you, deeper in the cave, the silhouette of his body and the braids swinging from of side to the other to only thing you can make out in the darkness. You glared in his direction and he winced, already regretting his words.
He sat down in front of you, with his legs crossed so your knees were touching. He reached a hand to your knee and caressed it gently.
“Thank you for waiting.”
You refused to look at him, instead opting for the dimly illuminated lake to your left, that twinkled every time a drop of water would fall from the ceiling. You traced the stalactites and their curious shapes, fascinated with they clung to the wall, when you felt Neteyam’s hand on your cheek, softly turning your face to face him.
“Atan, please, look at me. I can’t stand it when you refuse to look at me.”
Tears fell from your eyes like water from the roof of the cave, and eventually you looked at him, and saw his pained expression, and you knew how bad he felt. You could feel it in your soul, his misery, but it did very little to comfort you. It was easy to feel bad after the fact.
“Atan… I am so sorry. I could never express into words how sorry I am, I will pay my whole life for what I said, what I spat at you in a moment of stupid anger. I just want you to know that it isn’t true. What I said, it isn’t true. You’ve always had a family. You’ve always had us, and Norm and Max. You’ve always had me. I have been your family my whole life, and I am so, so sorry. There’s no excuse for what I said.”
“I forgive you.” You placed your hand on his chest when you noticed him trying to get close to you. ‘I’m not finished.”
“I forgive you. But I need some time.”
“What do you mean you need some time?”
“I mean, I have to figure out how I will do this. How I could possibly do this. How I can watch the man I promised to spend the rest of my life with kill himself before the rest of my life can ever come, and learn to ever be ok with it.
You were right. I never had a family. I had a mum who didn’t want to live past my tenth birthday, friends I cared for, but that lived in a completely different world to mine, people that tried to be there for me but I pushed them away, a dead dad and you. A guy I loved my whole life who left me without saying goodbye. I’ve never had a family.
But I have one now. And you’re right. You’re right, it isn’t a choice. If I had to choose between my life any of yours, I would give mine up in an instant. And there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to make sure you are safe. So I do get it. But that doesn’t mean that I can watch you do it.
I know how hard this is on you… how much this enormous unspoken pressure weighs on you. Being Olo’eyktan, being the oldest son, the big brother, the protector. I know you won’t say it, and you won’t complain, but I know. You have nightmares, and you cry in your sleep. You cry for your dad, and for Lo’ak… for Tuk… for me. I hoped that you would talk to me about it, and I’ll be here to listen when you feel ready. I’m sorry you feel like you have to go through this alone.
But I don’t know if I can’t stand and watch you kill yourself. Because it will kill me too. So until I figure it out, I need some time.”
Neteyam was shedding silent tears that refused to stay hidden, and he felt his heart break at all your words, each one harder to hear than the last. Time? He didn’t have time. Time was for a different period of your lives, before the humans came, when you were young and wild and free to run through the forest whenever you pleased. Time was for when you made him sit through an entire season of a show he couldn’t understand half the words to, but he was just happy to sit in silence next to you, hearing your laughter bless his ears, his mind, his soul. Time was for when he took his siblings through the forest to forage for rocks and beads because Kiri wanted to make them all something special to wear for his second birth. There was no more time, no more future, no more past. Just the now, waiting to see what the humans have planned next, what hell they’ll rain on this planet this time, and who will suffer as a consequence.
“Atan…”
“I don’t want to put you out, so I will go sleep with the rest of the Avatars for a while. I have work to do in the lab anyway, so it’ll probably work better this way anyway.”
Neteyam saw you get up from where you sat, deep coldness settling where your knees weren’t touching him anymore and dispersing all throughout his body. He saw your back turn and you made your way out of the cave, stopping to pick up the flowers that he spent an hour collecting for you. You brought them closer to your face and smelled them, smiling sadly.
“Thank you for the flowers. It’s good to know at least some things haven’t changed. I love you, Neteyam. I’m sorry.”
Neteyam couldn’t find it in him to get up from the floor, and he felt the hopelessness envelop him like a blanket that he was suffocating under. What was he supposed to do? What did this mean? Is this a human thing? Neteyam remembers when you were much younger and you had to explain to him the concept of a “break”, after making him sit through a whole Friends marathon. Is this what this was? You were asking him for a break? Were you breaking up with him? Today just feels like a never-ending nightmare, and he was hoping that you would wake him up, like you always did, comforting him and singing him back to sleep. He didn’t have it in him to go back to the camp, so he lay on the cold ground of the cave, and let himself fall into a restless slumber - even if real nightmares did invade his subconsciousness, how much worse could they get?
You spent the next few days mostly in the lab, trying to take care of everyone who was affected in the fateful mission that left more than physical scars behind. It was a full-time job, as there were a lot of victims that required surgical intervention, which you were more than happy to do yourself. You’d like to think that it was because it would bring you peace - helping others - but you knew deep down you were also happy to be able to avoid Neteyam. You felt bad for what you said, bad for distancing yourself from someone you loved more than life itself, but you were still hurt and angry, still terrified and paralysed at the thought of losing him. You don’t know what this distance would achieve, but you were hoping for some clarity and perspective.
Norm and Max came in the little lab you turned into an intervention room as you were finishing checking in on the people you operated on a couple days ok, making sure their vitals were normal.
“OK - spill. What happened?” You heard Norm speak over the machines beeping in the room.
“What do you mean?” You removed your gloves and quietly made your way out of the lab.
“You’re never here this much anymore. I’m sure there are better things to be doing, and you know very well me and Max, or hell, Claire and Tim can take care of people post-operatively. We all know how to stitch wounds, Ace.”
“Not as well as me.”
“True, but definitely better than we would be at scouting and hunting, which is what you should be doing. So something happened. Had a fight with Neteyam?”
“Of sorts.”
You reached the dry labs and sat on one of the chairs that you barely fit in anymore; your elbow resting on your thighs, you put your head in your hands and sighed deeply.
“You’re gonna remove all the oxygen in the room if you sigh that hard.”
“We fought about the mission a few days ago. Lo’ak disobeyed Jake and got himself in danger - as usual -, and Neteyam got hit by the explosion as a result. I yelled at him about it, he yelled at me, it got ugly. I told him I need space. So I’m taking space.”
“So that’s why you’re sleeping in our tent. I knew it wasn’t just so you could check on people easier. Liar.”
“It’s not a complete lie, but yeah.”
“So what were you yelling to each other about?”
“So I said -“
Loud commotion happened around you as the door to the outside opened and in came Lo’ak, Kiri and Spider.
“Yeah, haha, real hysterical, you guys. You know what really sucks, though? That you can breathe the air here for hours, and I can only breath your air for like ten seconds.”
“Yeah, monkey boy, that really sucks. For you.”
Spider and Kiri have always been close, but recently, you felt a shift in their dynamic. It was a lot more flirtatious than friendly, and you couldn’t help wonder if there is something going on beneath the surface. Their interactions reminded you a lot of you and Neteyam’s before he left, just intimate enough they didn’t feel platonic anymore. Having been in Spider’s shoes, if there was, you felt bad for him. It was a slow poison, loving someone you know you could never have - whose body is literally incompatible to your own. You have always felt bad that you got an Avatar and Spider didn’t. In reality, you felt like he deserved it more. He has always been so connected to the Na’vi, so inseparable from the Sullys, so desperate for a family and a sense of belonging. Nobody knew this, but you were working hard to try to see if it was possible to build him one too. It would take time, but with the new technology and supplies the humans brought with them, maybe it wasn’t a pipe dream anymore.
Kiri finally acknowledged your presence.
“Hey, everyone!”
“Hey, kids!” Max chipped in enthusiastically. He loved when the Sullys came to visit.
“Hey, what’s up, Max?”
You didn’t look at Lo’ak, although he came really close to you and sat on a chair in front of yours. He moved on the chair until he was face to face with you, and put both of his hands on either side of you on the arm rests to force you to face him.
“Angel, are you going to be upset with me forever?”
You scowled at him and he smiled, and you melted a little. You could never stay mad at Lo’ak.
“You are a public menace, do you understand this?” it was his turn to scowl now, and he turned his gaze away from you - he seemed upset. You took his face in both your hands and brought his gaze back to yours.
“Lo’ak, I need you to be more careful. Please. I can’t lose you. And I can’t lose Neteyam, who will die one day trying to protect you. I know it’s hard, I know there’s so much you want to do and so much you want to prove, but please. Try?” You were looking at him as seriously and warmly as you could, pleading him to hear you, pleading that he would listen. He looked at you intently for a long time, and eventually, he nodded softly, looking remorseful. You moved his head downward a little so you had better access to his forehead and you gave him a quick peck, and noticed the slight purplish tint of his cheeks. You could never stay mad at Lo’ak.
“We’re going to go take a walk in the woods, come with us, please? I know you’re mad at Neteyam, but you can’t stay here forever. Even Norm and Max go out more than you.”
“Lo’ak, you shouldn’t be walking through the woods, you know this.”
“We’re not going to go far. We’re even taking Tuk, you know we would never put her in any danger.”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “She blackmailed you to come, didn’t she?”
You saw Lo’ak rolls his eyes and huff in annoyance. “…yes.”
“Fine, I’m literally only coming to make sure Tuk is safe.”
“I’ll take it. Let’s go, gang!!”
You had to admit it felt really good to be out, to just run on the huge vines that connected the Hallelujah mountains to the ground and to each other. It felt like a blessing to be able to still enjoy these views, these moments with your siblings, even amidst the chaos that was erupting everywhere around you. You went like this for ages, and even though you knew you should have gone back, knew Lo’ak was again pushing his luck and the safety of everyone here, you couldn’t find it in you to stop him. You wanted this, you craved the warmth and safety the forest gave you, your forever home, your forever first love. Even the thought of returning back to camp in a couple hours made you sad. So you decided to focus on the now, and just enjoy the time you’ve got.
It was close to eclipse when you decided to make your way back. The kids were not allowed past curfew, and you didn’t want to risk it, especially with Tuk around. You were disappointed, but not surprised when Lo’ak stopped in his tracks and moved away from your path to inspect something he found on the ground.
“What is it?” Kiri said, in an exasperated tone, and you found yourself mirroring her sentiments.
You saw Lo’ak and Spider hovering over a patch on the ground and you decided to go investigate.
“We’re always supposed to be home by eclipse.” You heard Tuk join in.
Your mouth dropped at the sight in front of you. Shoe prints, made by boots that couldn’t be worn by any human. You recognised the pattern of the sole, as you have seen it before among clothes worn by the RDA soldiers. Military combat boots. Your heart was thumping in your chest at the only possible explanation. You started looking around you, and you felt the all-too-familiar dread building in your stomach, greeting you like an old friend. You barely registered the words that Spider and Lo’ak were exchanging.
“It’s way too big for a human.”
“Avatars?”
“Maybe, but for sure not ours.”
You saw Lo’ak move towards where the footprints were headed, and you tried to will your legs to move, to stop them, tried to will yourself to speak, but you couldn’t find the words, just dread. Just pure fear at every possible scenario that could take place, your mind computing all your worst nightmares and displaying them to you like on an outdoor cinema screen. Eventually, you started moving your legs and made your way in front of Lo’ak, positioning your body, now just as strong and tall as his, in front of him.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”
“I’m tracking.”
“Are you out of your goddamn mind?” You were trying so hard to keep your voice down,  but it was hard to do when you felt rage replacing the anxiety and spilling over all around you.
“Angel, we have to see who it is. Whoever it is will never find us, this is our territory. We have to bring back the intel, and what are we going to say when dad asks us what did we see? We need to find out more.”
“Lo’ak, we are not prepared for this. I don’t have my gun, or a radio, or my bow. I have a knife. I’m not putting Kiri and Tuk in danger. We can go back and we can track tomorrow and figure it out. We know they’re Avatars. What you don’t know is that they’re military.”
You saw his face drop. “Yeah, that’s right. Those boots? They were worn by the RDA soldiers that murdered so many of our people. They’re larger now, but the imprint on them is the same. They fucking brought Avatar soldiers here this time. This is fucking serious. We have to go.”
He thought about it for a while. You hoped that he would listen, you hoped that he would abide by what you talked about only a few hours ago.
“We will be careful. We will keep our distance. Let’s just see what they’re doing, at least.”
You growled at him loudly, but said nothing, and the shock overtook your body when you realised that you were following him. You tried to tell your body to move, to take Kiri and Tuk and leave, but you couldn’t. You couldn’t leave him or Spider, couldn’t bear the thought of them getting hurt and you not being there to help. Fuck, you owed Neteyam an apology.
You followed the tracks for a while, until you found them, and you kept your distance in the bushes and observed quietly. You could see six people in the clearing where 19 years ago, Jake and Neytiri defeated Quaritch, Spider’s dad. It was a forbidden place, cursed by dark, ominous energy that will plague this land for many years to come. The people were clearly Avatars, dressed in camo outfits, carrying so much weaponry it was making your knees shake. Every cell in your body was begging you to move, begging you to run, but you couldn’t, not until Lo’ak the rest of them were safely behind you. So you waited, trying to gather as much information as you could. The Avatars were searching the hub for any sign of recent life, and they took particular interest in exo-suit that you know belonged to Quaritch. In it, there were 2 arrows that you recognised as Neytiri’s, the emerald green feathers a dead giveaway. You never knew exactly how Spider’s dad died, and neither did he, so you wondered what feelings were plaguing him watching this unfold.
“We are never supposed to be here.” Kiri says, in a forceful tone. “Dad is going to ground you…”
“Shh, Kiri.” Lo’ak said exasperatedly, talking over his sister. “…for life.”
“Bro, we have got to check this out.”
You put your arm in front of the two boys. “Absolutely not. This is as far as we go. Call this in, now. I don’t have my radio.”
“No, bro, we’re gonna get in trouble.” You gave Spider a death stare, at his seemingly unending recklessness.
“Call it in, now. I’m not going to repeat myself again.”
“You sound like dad.”
Neteyam’s mood has been in a rapid decline over the last few days. He hasn’t seen you since that night, clear to him you were doing anything in your power to avoid him. Instead of thinking of the potential demise of your relationship and how that put his fucking heart through the meat grinder, he instead decided to bury himself in work and training, and try to spend some time with his parents that he very rarely seemed to talk to anymore outside of war-talk. His childhood was long gone, he realises - where he was just a kid, surrounded by so much love it was almost suffocating, full of laughter and joy, full of his dad’s Earth stories and his mum’s impressions, full of hope and light. His parents were now soldiers, generals, commanders, and he was just a subordinate, a corporal trying to help out in the best way he knew how. There were definitely perks to being an adult, and Neteyam could list just about all of them staring in between your legs, but there were times, such as now, that he wishes his parents would be his parents again, and he could just be a little kid again, spoiled, cherished and unencumbered by life’s tragedies.
The three of them were high in the Hallelujah mountains, returning from a full day of scouting and tracking, when Lo’ak’s voice through the radio interrupted his train of thought.
“Devil Dog, Devil Dog, this is Eagle Eye, over.”
“Eagle Eye, send your traffic.”
“I got eyes on some guys. They look like Avatars, but they’re in full camo and carrying ARs. There’s six of them, over.”
“What’s your post?”
“Um... We’re at the old shack.”
“Who’s we?”
“Me, Spider, Kiri…Quickscope…and Tuk.”
Neteyam’s knees felt like they were buckling underneath him. He was dizzy, and he felt Seze’s flight becoming unsteady as his mind was collapsing into a puddle of mush. Lo’ak… Spider… Kiri… Tuk… and you. His whole world. He could lose everything in a second. What the fuck were all of you doing in the forest? Why the fuck were all of you in the one place that was strictly forbidden? If it was Lo’ak and Spider he could maybe understand the stupidity, but you? The thought that you went along with this, with Tuk next to you boiled his blood - it was easier to be angry than to admit how immeasurably scared he actually was.
“Son, you listen to me very carefully. Pull back right now, do not make a sound, and get the hell out of there. Move. Copy?”
“Yes, sir, moving out.”
Neteyam’s entire body was lit up with pure adrenaline, coursing through his veins like ice water, sharpening his senses. He had to save you. All of you. He had to do something.
“Dad. I know a quick way.” He didn’t stop to see if his parents were following, but he heard his mother letting out a war cry behind him, so he assumed they were. He had to save you. He couldn’t lose you again.
“You’re gonna be in so much trouble.” You heard Kiri whispering to her brother.
“Kiri, stop. This is not the time.” You heard yourself say. You were gonna kill Lo’ak yourself, but right now, you just had to focus on getting out of here. Getting them out of here.
You saw Tuk run ahead and you wanted to tell her to slow down, but she spoke before you. “It’s almost eclipse, come on!!”
Out from the bushes came Avatars, so many of them they outnumbered you at least 2 to 1. A woman grabbed Tuk, holding her tightly and you hissed aggressively and pulled out your knife from its sheath, but you knew immediately it would do very little against so many military people carrying fucking machine guns that were pointed at your face, and worse, at the faces of the people you loved.
You heard the Avatars screaming at you, telling you all to put down your weapons, and you did, knowing there was no other choice. This wasn’t a battle you could win, this wasn’t even a battle you could start. You saw Lo’ak throw his bow on the ground, but Spider was unrelenting.
“Drop it. Drop it.” Lo’ak warned Spider in Na’vi, and you thanked your lucky star that he was being at least a tiny bit reasonable.
You were pulled forcefully by someone tugging you by your hair and pinning your arms together, holding them tightly, mirroring what was happening to your siblings around you. Tuk was crying, and your heart tugged at the sound, desperate to help her, a deep maternal instinct rising within you, and you felt rage and adrenaline fill your body.
A few more Avatars made their way to the group. One of them looked a little older, and by the way all the others shifted towards him subconsciously, you reckoned he was the leader. Two men were following him closely, and a profound, unsettling feeling overcame you. They looked…familiar. The first one was bald. The second one had wavy hair and looked slightly different than all the others. He looked…dignified. Like he didn’t quite belong. Like his clothes were unbecoming on his body. You somehow felt you knew this man, and when you looked next to him at the first guy and his tattoo, at the girl holding Kiri… when you looked closely at all of them, your body jerked violently and your mouth fell agape.
It couldn’t be… no…
Quaritch. Weinfleet. Pike.
…Your dad…
You didn’t understand what you were feeling at the moment, a mix that you have never experienced before, but at the forefront was gaping confusion and horror, shock and fear, and deep within you, maybe even a little bit of excitement. Could that actually be your dad? How is that possible? You buried his bones, you saw Weinfleet’s skeleton in the forest, you just saw Quaritch’s at the Shack. How could this be?
You saw Weinfleet stalk towards you and he took a hold of your hand and forcefully brought it up. “Colonel, check it out. Four fingers. We’ve got a half-breed.”
They thought you were Na’vi. Good. They realised you were born with Avatar blood, so you were most likely Jake’s. That made you valuable to them. Bad. The man behind you was pulling on your queue to lift your chin up so Quaritch can look at you properly. They were pulling on your arm and you felt pain all over, that was overshadowed by so many other emotions flooding your being. He inspected you shortly, and then moved on to Kiri and Lo’ak.
“Show me your fingers.” Lo’ak brought both his hands up and flipped him off. You would laugh if your body could still produce any ounce of serotonin.
You saw Quaritch smile crudely, eyeing Lo’ak up and down. “You’re his, aren’t you?” He continued smiling as Lo’ak hissed at him and took him by his hair, pulling him towards his eye level.
“Where is he?”
“Sorry, I don’t speak English…with assholes.”
“Where is your father?” His accent was thick, and he butchered the words and pronunciation, but there was no mistaking what he wanted. Jake. So this is what it was all about. Even after 19 years, the RDA was willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars in order to eliminate the Olo’eyktan. It was a good investment, you thought, considering there was only so much the humans can do with Jake in the picture. You wondered what they were willing to do to get to him. Would they kill you off, one by one? Would your dad kill you to get to Jake?
Lo’ak said nothing, only hissing in pain when the man kept tugging at his queue aggressively. You heard wails all around you coming from Kiri and Tuk, but you were focused on only one thing. Figuring out an escape route. You knew Neytiri and Jake were on their way, since Lo’ak alerted them to your location. It was only a matter of time before they arrived. Eclipse was also only about 10 more minutes away, so you would have the cover of darkness soon, which was an advantage to you, but not to them. Lucky for you, they tied your hands in front of you, which means you could still use them. You probed the strength of the hand ties, and realised quickly you weren’t getting out of them without a knife. The man holding you was keeping you close to his body. You recoiled in disgust, but tried to shimmy your body into him to feel for any possible things you could use. He was wearing an army vest. You felt grenades and ammo poking you in the back. You moved subtly a bit more, making it seem like the position was just uncomfortable, and felt a military knife holder in your lower back. Bingo.
Quaritch took out a knife, and threatened Lo’ak with it, but soon moved along the line to Kiri. There was screaming coming from all the boys, but Spider’s voice broke through and Quaritch turned around to face him. It must be a weird sight to see, a human amongst the Na’vi, clearly young enough to have been raised here. You wondered if Spider connected the dots, if he figured out who the man standing if front of him was. You gave silent thanks to your mum and the scientists for the Avatar again.
“What’s your name, kid?”
“Spider… Socorro.”
Quaritch’s face changed, the sly smirk faltered and his expression was shocked, when it dawned on him the kid standing in front of him was his son.
Neteyam and his parents landed as eclipse set in, enveloping the nature in bioluminescent glow. It would be beautiful if he wasn’t on the edge of losing his goddamn mind. He grabbed his bow and patted Seze before he made his way towards the shack. His dad turned around and put a hand in front of him. Neteyam’s nose flared at the words he knew were coming.
“No, no. You stay with the ikran.”
“No.”
“Neteyam…” his mother was trying to defuse the situation the best way she knew how.
“I’m not going to say it again.”
“You are not leaving me behind. I am older than mum was when the Sky People attacked the first time. My mate is out there. My brothers and sisters. I am coming.”
Neteyam saw his dad looking at him intently, thinking about it for a while. Eventually, he relents and nods curtly.
“You stay behind, do you read me, boy? Your mother and I will go first, so they think it’s just two of us. You stand and attack from behind when the opportunity arises.”
Neteyam agreed, although still disappointed. It was better than nothing.
“Let’s go.”
After splitting from his parents, Neteyam made his way quietly through the forest to a high point by which he could spot you and his siblings. He gasped silently and he could feel his heart in his throat, making him pant in shallow breaths, that were leaving him dizzy and disoriented. So many Avatars, all in military clothing, all carrying heavy guns, all holding at knifepoint the people he loved most in the world. He saw you and his breath stopped altogether, wet hair and a concerned, but focused expression on your face. Your eyes were scanning all of them, scanning the forest, it’s almost like you could tell they were here, that he was here.
From far away, he heard his mum’s signature distress signal echoing through the forest. It was inconspicuous enough that to the undiscerning ears it probably sounded like a bird or a forest animal, but Neteyam saw all of your ears perk and your heads snapping in the direction it came from. Neteyam knew you were all trained for this, trained for emergency situations, and he felt a tug of gratitude for his father’s military ways that will most likely save their lives tonight.
The unmistakable sound of Neytiri’s call brought relief that washed over you like the raindrops falling from the sky. You knew then the kids will be alright. You looked at Lo’ak and you nodded almost imperceptibly in the direction of the guy at your 12 o’clock who was facing you both and had a smoke bomb clearly displayed on his vest. He looked at it and nodded back, and you knew he understood. You got this.
With a loud thud that declared the beginning of the rescue mission, the man holding both Kiri and Spider was knocked to the ground, a green arrow sticking out of his forehead. The man holding you pushed you aside to get his gun, and without a second thought, you removed the knife from his holder and slit his throat. The blood went all over you, on your face and torso, but you didn’t care.
“LO’AK!” You screamed, and the boy released the pin from the smoke bomb, enveloping the whole area in green smoke.
You stabbed another man in the neck at the same time Lo’ak and Tuk bit the people holding them, and ran for the woods. Good.
You managed to run as well, trying to dodge the barrage of gunshots being released all around you, but you felt someone harshly pulling you backwards by your queue. You cried out, as pain dispersed from your spine all around you body, but the pull stopped when the woman who grabbed you got an arrow on the side of her head that came out the other side. The shot came from a different angle, and you knew that was Neteyam. You ran as soon as you were released, making sure to take the machine gun she was carrying in her hand before you sprinted to a tree that could provide cover.
You took a few deep breaths to calm yourself, and poked your head out so you could shoot whoever was still alive. You realised from the angle you were at, you had a perfect shot…that would kill your dad. Was this man even your dad? Would sparing his life for your own twisted desperation for answers and closure cost your new family theirs? Your finger went to the trigger, putting slight pressure on it. Just a little more pressure, and it would be over. Tears welled in your eyes and with a silent curse and gasped breaths, you lowered your gun and got back undercover.
“Is that you, Mrs. Sully? I recognise your calling card.”
“Why don’t you come on out, Mrs. Sully? You and I, we’ve got some…unfinished business.”
You saw the kids running in the distance, and you felt so much safer, so much gratitude in knowing they were going to be okay. That’s all that mattered in this moment, that Tuk, and Kiri, and Lo’ak and Spider make it back home in one piece.
“DEMON! I will kill you as many times as I have to.” Neytiri’s voice sent shivers down your spine, so much hatred, so much intensity behind it.
“Guess you and the corporal got pretty busy, haven’t you? Got yourself a whole litter of half-breeds.”
You saw the reflection of the gun in the corner of your eye before you had a chance to process it, and you heard a man scream “Na’vi!”, followed by the unmistakable sound of shots being fired where you stood. You saw the bullets like in slow motion, and you knew then you were done for. You were just happy everyone else was going to make it. You were happy Neteyam was going to make it. You closed your eyes in anticipation of the pain, but the pain you expected never came. Instead, you were pushed to the ground and another type of pain, the pain the came with scratches all over your body and the wind getting knocked out you, brought you back to reality and you registered Neteyam’s unmistakable pheromones flooding your entire being.
“MOVE! GO, GO, GO!” He helped you to your feet and you both ran as fast as your feet could possibly carry you. You made it to a tree where you found Jake, and his presence calmed your thoughts and focused them - that was the effect he had on people, this great man and leader that you knew you would follow anywhere without question.
He touched you arm and spoke to both of you.
“Are you okay?” You and Neteyam nodded quickly.
“You ready? You ready?!” You saw him get out of cover and shoot, and you both sprinted for the hills, manoeuvring your way through thick shrubbery and tree roots, knowing that you wouldn’t have been able to do this even a few months ago, this level of athleticism and acrobatics that came naturally only to true Na’vi.
You heard a big explosion behind you and you saw part of a big web of roots get destroyed as a result, and Spider falling a few meters beneath it. You and Neteyam were preparing to run back, but Jake stopped you, placing a firm hand in front of your bodies. You saw Neytiri picking Kiri up forcefully and running with her towards your direction, as the girl was looking back to where Spider was.
Lo’ak and Tuk made it to your location as well, and you saw Jake kneel next to Tuk and hold her tightly in his arms as she cried, the weight of all you have all survived settling in all your bones. You hugged Neytiri like you never have before as you both cried, letting it all out, all the relief and fear and shock and happiness that you all made it out alive.
“THANK YOU, GREAT MOTHER! THANK YOU!”
Lo’ak’s voice echoed through the forest. “Where’s Spider?”
You looked at your sister, whose eyes looked like endless pools of sadness. “They took him! They took him!”
There were no words spoken as you all made your way back to camp. There were no words for what just happened. The adrenaline slowly depleted its resources in Neteyam’s body, leaving him in shambles, scrambling to figure out where to go from here. What were the next steps? Your back was flush against his chest, and the feeling of your skin on his, of your warmth emanating from your body, of your hand wrapped around his arm was the only thing that kept him from breaking down into a million pieces. You were here, his siblings were here. His thoughts flashed to Spider, and he knew he couldn’t think about it too much without tears welling in his eyes. He wasn’t close to Spider, definitely not nearly as close as the rest of his siblings, but he was family. Seze landed softly on the ground by the entrance to the camp. It was late, so most people were out for the night. You didn’t let go of him, not for one second, and he was so happy to see you again, so happy to feel you again, so sad it had to be under these circumstances. His family slowly made their way to the tent, but Neteyam felt you pull him back, urging him to let them go ahead without you.
He saw you properly for the first time since the whole ordeal. You had mud all over you, but that was nothing compared to the blood covering your entire face and chest. Tears were falling down your cheeks and neck, and his hands immediately found your face, just as his lips found yours. It was soft in the beginning, tentative, like a flower blooming in the morning. But as you came to terms with everything that transpired, everything you went through, everything you could have lost, it shifted, it became desperate and needy, full of breathy moans and wandering hands. He almost lost you.. again.
“Let’s go, please. I can’t be here.” Without any words, you got on Neyn and flew to your secret place. Neteyam’s hand was settled on your heart, that was thumping loudly, mirroring his own. You arrived quickly, the cave only a short distance away.
You ran, without looking at Neteyam and dove straight into the lake, not knowing for sure whether you wanted to reemerge, craving the numbness that came with drowning, craving it like the air that your was body was begging for. You felt the ripples in the water as Neteyam joined you, and when he touched you, your whole body lit ablaze, and the craving changed, as it always did when he was around. You missed him, so so much, and your fight and your need for space felt so silly now, so unnecessary in light of everything that you stood to lose at any moment. Any moment not spent in his presence, in his arms was wasted time, time you didn’t have.
You came up for air, panting from your need for him settled deep within you, so that he could fill the gaping hole that just opened in your soul. He looked at your intensely, and you knew he felt the same, so you kissed him, pouring all your desires into it, feeling him do same to you.
“I need you so badly, Atan. I have missed you so much.”
“Then take me, Neteyam. I’m yours.”
You exited the water and lead him to the mossy grass outside of the cave, where the nature was shining brightly and the wind warmed your skin. You pushed him onto the ground, and straddled him, looking deep in his eyes as you took off your beaded top and unhooked his cummerbund from around his abdomen. He rose from where he was laying on the ground and started planting kisses down your neck and collarbone, making his way down. You moaned at the feeling, and threw your head back, giving him access to you, begging silently for him to never stop. HIs mouth found one of your breasts that he kissed, softly in the beginning before his tongue flickered over your nipple. You started grinding on him, cursing yourself for not removing both your loincloths before. His mouth moved to your other breast, whilst his hands went on to undo your loincloth, that he removed from you and threw to the side. He stopped to undo his own, and you thanked the great mother for whatever unspoken connection you two have always shared.
“I need to feel you, my love. All of you.” His hand went to his queue that he brought forth, and you were so grateful at the sight, aching for the union that will always bind you together, for life.
You gasped loudly at the bond, overwhelmed with the outpouring of emotions emanating from Neteyam. So much pain, and fear and sadness, and so much love, and relief and gratitude all inundating your mind and soul, all making you breathless and dizzy. You both looked in each other’s eyes, both overcome with each other’s minds, both desperately in need of each other’s bodies.
One of his hands resumed his slow torture on your breast while the other wrapped around your throat, until the asphyxiation lead to euphoria you felt deep between your legs, slick dripping all over Neteyam’s hard-on that you were grinding against. His hands let go and the rush of oxygen to your brain made you moan in pleasure, and increase the speed at which you were getting yourself off on his cock. His mouth was all over you, leaving marks that you knew would be seen by everyone in the village tomorrow, but you couldn’t care less. The whole world could burn around you at this point and you wouldn’t care, because there was nothing else. Nothing outside of this, of him, of this feeling.
His hands went to your ass, pushing you deeper on him, urging you to go faster, helping you to your release.
“Fuck, I love it when you fuck yourself on my cock.”
You moaned loudly at his words, feeling your orgasm building up in your core. “That’s right. Come for me, baby girl.”
You threw your head back and rode out your orgasm with his hands on your ass still moving your now puffy and sensitive clit roughly on him.
“You are so beautiful. So fucking beautiful.”
Dazed, you felt yourself being picked up and placed on the ground, your back loving the feel of the wet grass touching your skin. His face was inches from yours, and he lowered it to kiss you, and it was so unlike everything else around you, so tender and soft, so needy and gentle.
“I love you so much. I am so happy you are here.” You cried out and brought him back onto you, kissing him like your life depended on it, which to be honest, you think it did. You felt his dick twitching against your inner thigh and moaned, desperate to feel him deep in your, desperate to be filled.
“Fuck, please.”
He smiles into the kiss, and reached down to line his cock to your folds, teasing your entrance mercilessly.
“Neteyam…” you mewled, not in the mood to be teased, not tonight.
He didn’t need to be told twice, as he pushed in slowly, letting you adjust to his girth, that always took you by surprise, that always stretched you out deliciously. He moaned as he filled you fully, and stopped to enjoy the way you squeezed him, the way you took him in like you wouldn’t ever let him go, your pussy the only prison he wouldn’t mind being held prisoner in forever.
“Fuck, Atan. You’re taking me so well, baby. Always so well, I could get lost in this pussy.”
You were so wet your slick was dripping all over him and down his balls, making it so easy for him to move in an out of you, at a slow, agonising pace. Your hands made their way to his back, hard and muscular, and you dug your nails in it roughly, scratching him as he increased his pace, fucking into you roughly and ruthlessly, making of you a whimpering mess. Your legs wrapped around him to grant him better access, to bring him in deeper, always deeper, until he was hitting a spot you could feel in your whole body, inundating your every cell, your every sense.
“I can feel you squeezing my dick, Atan. I want to hear you coming on my cock, I want to feel you taking my cum like a good girl.”
Your orgasm hit you like a lightning strike, overcharging your every nerve ending until you were so drained you could only see white, and you felt Neteyam’s load fill you to the brim, overflowing around you. Blissfully spent, his head fell on the crook of your neck, and you stood like that, listening to each other’s heartbeats and shallow breaths.
You laughed quietly thinking this was probably the most tame sex of your life, and how even when you were trying to be tempered and soft, you ended up like this, moaning and mewling like your life depended on it. This is what he did to you, what he’ll always be able to coax out of you.
“It’s good to hear you laugh again. So I take it you forgive me?” He rolled from on top of you, and pulled you on from the ground so you can be face to face, as he intently listened to every sound that came out of your mouth. Your queues were still attached, so you could feel the anxiety building in his system. You hoped your lack thereof would put his mind to ease a little.
“Mm, I don’t know if I forgive you, but I have realised something. Actually, I realised two things. First, today, walking through the forest with the kids, I realised that you were right. There’s no other choice, but to follow them to the ends of the world and hope you can at least help them not fall off the edge. And if you have to fall instead, that’s fine as long as they are safe. So I think I owe you an apology.
Secondly, I realised I can’t change who you are, and I don’t want to. I love you. I love how kind and patient and compassionate you are. I love that you love your family, your baby brother so much that his safety comes first in your mind. You love fully, and give everything to the people you love, and that is what makes you a great brother and a great son…a great mate. It’s what will make you the best Olo’eyktan this clan has ever seen… it’s what will make you the best dad. So I can’t change that about you.
But what I can do is make sure I will always be around. I’ll always be next to you, and behind you and in front of you, and I’ll always have your back. So if anything like that ever happens again, I will protect you. And if I can’t protect you, I will heal you. I will stitch your wounds, and mend your broken bones, because putting pieces back together is what I do best, anyway. I won’t have to be scared anymore, cause I’ll just always be there for you. Deal?”
“Deal.” He said as he kissed you tenderly, and you felt the salty taste of his tears on your lips.
You made your way back a couple of hours later, and were shocked to discover the Sullys were still awake. You silently stepped towards the tent where Lo’ak, Kiri and Tuk were hiding, listening in to their parents’ shouted conversation.Kiri motioned for you to come and brought her hand to her lips, urging you to be quiet.
“This thing, this Quaritch, whatever he is, is going to walk right into here, right under Eywa’s nose.”
“I cannot, you cannot ask this. I cannot leave my people. I will not.”
“He’s hunting us, he’s targeting out family.”
“You cannot ask this!” Neytiri was furious, her screams loud and forlorn.“The children, everything they’ve ever known, the forest! THIS IS OUR HOME!”
“He had our children. He had them under his knife.” Jake’s voice was hoarse and pleading, hushed tones hiding the deep hopelessness echoed in his words.
“My father gave me this bow as he lay dying, and he said ‘Protect the people’. You’re Toruk Makto!”
“This will protect the people!”Jake’s voice was raised now, no longer poised, no longer holding back. “Quaritch has Spider, and that kid knows EVERYTHING! He knows our whole operation. He could bring them right in here.”
You felt annoyed at how quick Jake was to assume Spider would betray this family, the only family he’s ever known. Spider was a loud mouth, and he was just as reckless as Lo’ak, but he had a good heart. A strong heart. He is loyal and loves the Sullys and this clan more than he loves his own life, and you thought Jake knew that.
“If the people harbour us, they will die. Do you understand?”
“Look, I’ve got nothing. I’ve got no plan. But I can protect this family. That I can do. And I do know one thing. Wherever we go, this family is our fortress.”
So many thoughts engulfed your mind, so many emotions flooded your being, one more extreme and agonising than the next, but almost like a joke brought about by the universe, the only thing that rang supreme was the realisation the Tiongli was going to get to be Tsa’hik after all.

Nga yawne lu oer
Pairing: Neteyam Sully x Metkayina!Reader Summary: After a scolding from Jake, Neteyam feels dejected but you, his mate, can't let that happen, so you comfort him. A/n: 'nga yawne lu oer' means 'i love you' in na'vi, I'm so sorry if this is bad, if you find any mistakes feel free to correct me. CW: Fluff, comfort, sad Neteyam, reader is mentioned as Ao'nung's sister.
Tumblr media
It was midnight and you were sitting near the shore. Your legs in the water, the only light being the bioluminescent creatures. You were waiting for Neteyam to show up on the little date you both had planned. It wasn't much but you both had planned to spend time together. Your ears perked up as you heard footsteps behind you and you saw your mate coming towards you. You excitedly got up but your smile turned into a frown as you saw his expression. He looked utterly dejected and almost on the verge of crying. You see, he wasn't much of a crier and preferred to keep his emotions to himself so as not to burden you (his words). So seeing him like that made your heart ache.
"What happened my love?" you asked softly as you went to hug him. "Nothing, don't worry about it too much. How was your day?" Neteyam tries to avoid the question. "Absolutely not having any of that teyam, come on sit and tell me what is bothering you?" you lightly scold him and make him sit with you. You hold his hands and look into his eyes- a look he was well aware of and knew it meant that you were not going to let this go.
"It's just my dad, he was scolding me again for something stupid that Lo'ak did, and honestly I feel so trapped. I know I should've looked after him, but even I get tired at times and Lo'ak doesn't make things easier. It's like it's on purpose that he tries to get me scolded. I told him to maintain his distance from Ao'nung. yet still he had to go and start up shit again. My father- he- well he expects me to be perfect all the time and this is crushing me I feel so lost. I want to feel free and the only time I feel free is when I'm with you." he bursts.
You knew this would happen sooner or later as you had caught Jake scolding Neteyam a few times before. "Oh Neteyam, why hadn't you shared this with me before. It's ok love, I know how you feel and it isn't your fault. You are not to blame for anything, you can only do so much. But know that whatever you did, you did the best. And it was no one's but my brother's fault for spewing nonsense about your brother. I'll ask Ao'nung to apologize." spoke softly and held his face in both of your hands and continued speaking,"Remember my love I made a promise with you to stay with you. You yourself told me that if anything happened then I should tell you, so why are you making an exception for yourself? If anything stresses you out please tell me. I'm here for you and as long as we are together we will always be fine my neteyam."
Neteyam had never felt this happy before and he thanked the great mother for blessing him with you as his mate. In your arms he felt safe and that he had nothing to prove to anyone. In your arms he wasn't toruk makto's son, he was Neteyam and he was grateful to you for accepting him even with his flaws. He couldn't explain anything with words so he went with actions instead and pulled you closer to him, connecting your lips.
You both were kissing for what felt like eternity. You felt that Neteyam needed to breathe so you pulled away to see him breathing heavily yet you were breathing normally (perks of being a metkayina).  As you both rested your foreheads together, Neteyam spoke,"Nga yawne lu oer." You felt warm and fuzzy and told the same words back to him.
Safe to say your date went nice as you were lying down in neteyam's arms with him whispering sweet nothings into your ears.

Chapter 5
Scars and Souvenirs
Summary: Sy and his lady both retire from the army but not before tragedy befalls Sy. He slowly tries to adjust to life again on their ranch.
Pairing: Sy / OFC
Word count: 1,568
Rating: some angst some fluff
(Personal note: real life has been kicking my ass lately and it's taking its toll. I struggled with this chapter. I hope it's OK. Also if you wanna chat about Henry, any of his characters, movies or even has out stories feel free to DM me.)
Sy laughed as his three year old niece gave Deb the third degree. Millie was completely enamored with Sy which he was so shocked by since he spent most of her life in the middle east but was incredibly grateful for it.
"Why didn't ya bing mah unka Sy sooner. He coulda skeered da torm away?" Millie huffed at Debbie. She believed her Uncle Sy could fix everything, even bad weather.
"I'm sorry sweetie but he had to help your grandma with some stuff earlier," Debbie explained. Millie was the cutest little girl with blond hair and blue eyes and at three already had Sy's stubbornness and attitude. Seeing them together, Sy huge and Millie so tiny was cute but watching the big, bad, marine be bossed and pushed around by this tiny little girl was the most adorable thing ever.
"Why didn't you do it?" Millie pouted at Deb.
"Cause she didn't want me too. She wanted to spend time with Uncle Sy," She explained.
"Why not?" Millie questioned. "You do it den Unka Sy be here wif me!"
"Cause she said she wanted him, not me" Deb shrugged.
"Why?" She asked again.
"Stop bein stupid 'silly millie'." Amy and Mike's oldest kid, Robbie sneered. He was six and he thought little sisters were the worst.
"Hey," Amy, Mike and Sy all said at the same time. "We don't call people stupid young man," Amy finished.
"Yea poopy head!" Millie stuck her tongue out at him.
"No ma'am," Sy shook his head. "You don't get to call him names either."
"Whhhhyyy?" She whined. "He is a poopy head!"
"Silly Millie, silly Millie," Robbie sang.
"Cause it's not nice," Sy explained while trying not to laugh. "But mostly because I said so." He pointed at Robbie. "That means you to."
"Otay," Millie nodded and played with the doll she had in Sy's lap.
"Fine," Robbie sighed.
Sy's phone rang and he looked at the screen before turning it to silent with a huff. Deb looked at him quizzically but before she could ask her phone rang. She looked at the screen and did the same thing Sy had done.
"What's going on?" Amy asked but just as she did her phone rang. "Hello?"
"Are they there?" Sara demanded.
"Hello to you too mom," Amy rolled her eyes as she excused herself to the kitchen for privacy.
"Are they there?" She huffed again.
"Yes they are here. The storm was worse down their way and they couldn't get home. They were exhausted and not in any shape to be alone anyway."
"They were here but she decided I didn't need to have a discussion with my own son. She has no right to try to come between us. He's my son and I have a right to know what…"
"No you don't!" Amy yelled into her phone. "Yes, you are our mother but that doesn't give you the right to know every tiny detail of our lives. Whatever Sy went through over there we know it was awful and if he doesn't want to retell it or doesn't want us knowing then we should be ok with that. All that he needs from us is for us to love him just like he loves us. Is that not enough for you?" Amy was near breathless from her rant but when she heard the click of Sara's phone turning off her blood boiled and she growled rather loudly.
"Don't ruin your relationship with her because of me." Sy had stepped into the kitchen when he heard Amy's raised voice. "I don't know why she's being this way but she's dead set on knowing it all and I don't just don't think I can do it."
Amy hugged him. "You don't have to, Sy. If talking about what happened helps you I will gladly listen to every detail. I will continue to love you just the same if you never tell me anything that happened. You are my little brother."
He walked over to the counter and leaned his hip against it, arms crossed over his chest. "I should just disappear.  It would make everyone's lives easier."
"You better not disappear! We need you," Amy insisted
Millie came running into the kitchen ending their conversation.  "Unka Sy!" She ran up to him with her little arms in the air and he scooped her up.
"And what do you want?" He asked her as he tickled her and made her squirm and giggle.
"Come pay wif me!"
He sighed dramatically then flipped her upside. "I guess,  if I have to."
They spent time playing with the kids before they had their dinner and got ready for bed both falling asleep after a story.
Once it was quiet Sy's mind started to go into hyper vigilance again and he was getting antsy. His eyes were darting to all the windows and doors searching for the enemy. When Amy came back downstairs and called them to the kitchen so they could all eat dinner Deb got an idea. "Amy, do you have any card games or board games?"
"I do!" She jumped up excitedly and went to gather them up.
"You did it now woman," Sy shook his head. "She loves playing games."
Deb held out her hand to him and tried to pull him up which was futile until he helped. "Games are a good distraction," She explained as she guided him toward the kitchen. Once he was in front of her she smacked his ass. "Woman?" She growled.
He bit back a shocked squeak and spun on her quickly wrapping his arms around her and roughly squeezing her ass with both hands. "Yea, woman." There was a playfulness in his eyes as she reached back and swatted at his hands. "Mine", he growled deep in his chest as he pressed his forehead to hers.
"Only yours, always," She promised. He kissed her until she was breathless and leaning heavily against him. "Mmmm," She sighed contentedly.
"Found em," Amy held up the boxes triumphantly.
Thirty minutes later they were deep into a game of 'Syverson rules Uno' which she learned ment the deck had three special make your own wild cards, one of which Sy made a draw 10 card and you could 'stack' draw cards. The first hand Debbie had to draw eight and Sy enjoyed that just a little too much. So now, about half way into the game, Debbie was in a fit of hysterical laughter, Amy was in tears from laughter, Mike was trying to hide his smile and Sy was cursing. "Biggest bunch of fuckin bullshit I've ever seen in my life." He grumbled. "You keep laughin'" he shook his finger at Deb. It only made her laugh so hard she snorted which led to Amy's hysterical laughter and poor Aika looking at them all like they were mad. "It's not that funny!" Sy huffed at his sister.
"You," gasp, "had to," snort, "draw," guffaw, "18!" Tears from laughter streamed down Amy's face.
He shook his head and glared at her before picking up a pretzel twist and throwing it at her head which Aika happily munched as soon as it hit the floor. "Play!" He growled.
Deb tried to control her laughter but failed, earning her own pretzel to the head. "They're your rules Syverson! I'm just playing by them," she explained innocently.
"Uh-huh," he nodded, giving her a look that was supposed to be of anger but he couldn't hide his grin.
They continued to play games for a couple of hours before Deb noticed Sy starting to wear out. "I hate to end a fun time but I'm getting kinda tired. I think I'm ready to stretch out."
"Of course," Amy stood up and gave her a hug. "You know where everything is but if there is something you can’t find just let me know."
"Thank you again for letting us crash here," sis.
"You know you're welcome here anytime. " She gave him a hug then shooed them off to bed.
~~~~♡~~~~
Deb made sure Aika had been walked then crawled into bed where Sy was already waiting. The coolness of the sheets was welcoming on her sore, aching body. She wasn't really sleepy but physically she was beyond exhausted. Sighing contentedly when Sy pulled her against his side she pressed a kiss to his chest. "You feeling better sweetheart? "
"Still not right but much better than earlier. I'm so sorry you have to go through this with me. You deserve so much better."
The sadness in his voice broke her heart. She raised up on her elbow and looked at him. "I'm sorry you have to go through it baby, that you went through any of it. You're wrong though. I don't deserve better because there is no one better."
He turned on his side and hugged her to him pressing a kiss to her head nearly purring as she ran her nails lightly up and down his back.
"Mine," She said softly.
"All yours sugar. Only yours."
Hiiii, I love your writing, it's so cuteee.
Would you mind writing something with Erling where reader is one of the other Mancity players' sister or a rival team player's sister please??
With potential fights between this bunch of idiotic dudes 🫣
Whether you want to make it smutty or not, as you wish <3
Venha Aqui (Come Here)
Erling Haaland X Female Reader
Richarlison X Sister Reader
Summary: Your Richarlison sister and you came to England to study. you fall in love with Erling, and your brother isn't too happy about it.
If this is bad, I'm sorry 🙈 I think I over thought it too much, lol
Ok, I love Richarlison, but I feel like he's in a team that doesn't appreciate what he can as a player. So I hope he leaves Tottenham and finds clubs that give him time.
Ok, so like I loved this request. I'm Brazilian, so I chose one of my favorite players, Richalison. Also, because I don't know what race people who are reading this are and Brazil is such a diverse country with so many different mixes/races of people, I thought this would be the best option but you can imagineyourselfbeing the half sister. For example, my siblings and I are mixed with black, white, and native but we all came out looking different. My brother and I both looks black, and my sister came out fully white with green eyes. She doesn't even look like she has a touch of black in her. I just wanted everyone to feel included. So anyways, there is my little history lesson, lol
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Yes, it's been a few weeks since Y/N arrived in England and she's settled in quite nicely. She's loving all her classes, soaking up new knowledge and enjoying the experience of learning in a different country. And, to top it all off, she's made some new friends who have welcomed her with open arms.
But the best part? Y/N gets to live with her older brother, who she missed terribly. It's been a while since they've been able to spend time together, and now they're able to catch up on lost time. It's a relief to have him nearby, especially in a foreign country where everything is still unfamiliar.
But, as with anything in life, there are downsides. Y/N's brother can be overprotective at times, particularly when it comes to boys. It's a little frustrating, but deep down she knows that he only has her best interests at heart. After all, he's always been there for her, even when they were kids. He's always looked out for her and taken care of her, so it's no surprise that he's still doing it now.
Despite the occasional annoyances, Y/N wouldn't have it any other way. She knows that she's lucky to have a brother who cares so much about her, and she's grateful for his support. Living with him has made her feel safer, happier, and more at home.
Today was the day that Y/N had been eagerly anticipating for weeks. She was finally going to watch her beloved brother, Richarlison, play in a football match against Manchester City. The excitement coursing through her veins was palpable, as she was looking forward to witnessing firsthand the immense talent that her brother possessed.
This was the first time that Y/N would be watching her brother play in England, and she was beyond excited to see him in action. She had heard so much about the electric atmosphere of English football matches, and she couldn't wait to experience it for herself.
Not only would Y/N be able to watch Richarlison play, but she was also excited to meet his team members. The thought of spending time with her brother and his colleagues was thrilling, and she couldn't wait to get to know them all better.
Above all, Y/N was excited to spend a fun-filled night partying it up with her favorite person in the world - her brother. Richarlison had promised her that he would win this match and take her out to enjoy the city after the game. The thought of having an amazing time exploring the city with her brother made her heart race with excitement.
Y/N took her seat, her heart racing, as she eagerly waited for the game to start. As the players began to come out onto the field, she couldn't help but be transfixed by the towering figure of one particular player. It was Erling Haaland, and he stood head and shoulders above everyone else on the field, even towering over her own brother, Richarlison, who was no small man at 6'0.
Although she had heard people talking about Haaland's skills on the field, Y/N had never really paid much attention. She was a loyal fan of her brother, and in her eyes, he was the best footballer out there. But as she watched Haaland move across the field, there was no denying the incredible athleticism and power he possessed.
And it wasn't just his skills on the field that caught Y/N's attention. There was something undeniably attractive about the Norwegian footballer that she just couldn't take her eyes off of. It was as if he had a magnetism about him, drawing her in and captivating her with every move he made.
Despite her loyalty to her brother, Y/N found herself unable to look away from Haaland. She was mesmerized by his talent, his power, and his undeniable allure. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be in the presence of such a force, to feel his energy and his strength up close.
Y/N knew that she would always be a fan of Richarlison, but in that moment, she couldn't deny the power of Haaland's presence. He had captured her attention and held it tightly, leaving her breathless with admiration.
As the game developed, the tension on the field was palpable. Y/N's heart raced with anticipation as she watched the players battle it out, each team fighting fiercely for victory. And then, like a burst of lightning on a stormy night, Richarlison soared through the air and scored a beautiful header goal, giving Tottenham their second goal of the night. The stadium erupted in cheers, the crowd on its feet, as they celebrated his skill and talent.
But Tottenham's celebration was short-lived. As if from out of nowhere, Haaland came charging onto the field, a force to be reckoned with. He scored his second goal of the night for Manchester City, tying up the game and leaving Tottenham reeling from the blow.
Y/N's heart sank as she watched Manchester City's players celebrate, their joy and energy a stark contrast to the disappointment and frustration that permeated the Tottenham team. But just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Richarlison rose to the challenge once again.
With the clock ticking down, and the first half drawing to a close, Richarlison seized the moment and scored another goal, giving Tottenham the lead once again. The stadium roared with excitement, the crowd on their feet, as they cheered on their team.
As the players headed off the field for halftime, Y/N was looking forward to what was to come in the second half.
As the second half began, Y/N braced herself for the action. She knew that Manchester City was a fierce opponent and that they were not going to go down without a fight. But what she witnessed on the field was beyond anything she could have imagined.
Within minutes of the second half starting, Manchester City had scored yet another goal. Haaland, with his incredible speed and skill, had scored yet another goal, securing a hat-trick for the night. The temperature on the field was rising, the players becoming more and more aggressive with each other.
Suddenly, it all erupted into chaos. Richarlison and Haaland became entangled with one another, their tempers flaring and their fists flying. The other players quickly joined in, yelling and screaming at each other, until the referee finally managed to restore order.
Despite the chaos and the aggression, Tottenham refused to back down. With each passing minute, they fought harder and harder, their determination to win stronger than ever before. And then, finally, the moment they had been waiting for arrived.
With just a few minutes left in the game, Tottenham scored yet another goal, tying up the game once again.
But Tottenham was not content with a tie. With everything on the line, they pushed harder and harder, until finally, with just minutes left on the clock, Son scored one more goal, sealing Tottenham as the winners of today's match.
Y/N could hardly believe what she had witnessed. It had been a rollercoaster of a game, filled with drama, excitement, and raw emotion. But in the end, it was Tottenham who emerged victorious, their skill and determination shining through in every moment of the game. And as Y/N watched her brother celebrate with his teammates, she felt a rush of pride and joy, knowing that she was witnessing the birth of a legend.
-------------
After the game, as promised, Richarlison took Y/N out to celebrate. They decided to join some of the players at a nearby club to continue the festivities. Y/N was having the time of her life, dancing and laughing with her brother and his teammates. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone still buzzing from the drama of the game.
As Y/N made her way to the bar to get another drink, she suddenly stumbled over someone's feet, her clumsy nature getting the best of her once again. Just as she was about to hit the floor, someone caught her, saving her from an embarrassing fall. As she looked up, she found herself face to face with the one and only Erling Haaland.
Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she gazed into his piercing blue eyes. He was even more attractive up close, with his chiseled features and athletic build. She tried to compose herself, but found it difficult to speak in his presence.
Haaland, on the other hand, was surprisingly friendly and charming. He asked her if she was okay and even joked about her being clumsy, making her feel at ease.
"Here, let me buy you a drink," Erling said with a smirk, gesturing towards the bar. Y/N was momentarily taken aback, but she accepted his offer and followed him to the bar. The bartender placed their drinks in front of them, and Erling turned to Y/N.
"I'm Erling Haaland, and you are?" he asked, extending his hand.
"I know who you are. I'm Y/N," she replied, taking a sip of her drink. They continued to chat and laugh, enjoying each other's company.
"You lost the game today," Y/N remarked casually, taking another sip of her drink. Erling choked on his drink, surprised by her straightforwardness.
"Wow, you're straight forward. Yeah, we lost today, but I still got three goals. I can still celebrate that, can't I?" he said, smiling. Y/N giggled and nodded, agreeing with him.
"You have a beautiful smile," Erling said. But just as their conversation was heating up, Y/N's brother appeared, and everything came to a screeching halt. His voice boomed through the club as he called out her name, causing Erling and Y/N to stop and stare.
"You two know each other?" Erling asked, confusion etched on his face.
"H-he's my brother," Y/N stammered, feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. Richarlison's face was twisted in anger as he spoke again, this time in Portuguese.
"Venha aqui(come here)," he commanded, beckoning Y/N to come with him. She sighed, knowing she had to obey, and said goodbye to Erling before leaving with her overprotective brother.
As they drove home, the tension in the car grew by the minute. Y/N could sense her brother's frustration and anger radiating off of him like heat waves. "I don't want you anywhere near that guy," Richarlison growled, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel tightly.
Y/N was taken aback by her brother's sudden outburst. "What's your issue?" she asked, bewildered. "Is it because you guys got into a fight on the field?"
Richarlison's eyes flicked to her briefly before returning to the road ahead. "It's not just that," he said gruffly. "Haaland is trouble, Y/N. He's not good for you."
"But he seemed nice enough," Y/N protested. "And we only talked for a little while."
"That's not the point," Richarlison snapped. "I don't want you getting involved with him or any other footballers, for that matter. They're all just distractions."
Y/N sighed and leaned her head back against the headrest. She knew her brother meant well, but she couldn't help feeling frustrated by his overprotectiveness. "I can take care of myself, you know," she muttered.
Y/N couldn't believe what she was hearing. She knew her brother was overprotective, but this was too much. "You can't control my life, Richarlison. I'm an adult, and I can make my own decisions."
"Of course, I can't control your life," he said, calming down a bit. "But I can advise you as your older brother. And I'm advising you to stay away from him."
She signs."In other words, you're actually saying yes Y/N you will obey me. Because I'm your older brother and you live with me. so my rules go, I know how you work, Richarlison, " she said, annoyed, imatating his voice.
Richarlison didn't reply, his jaw clenched tightly as he navigated the dark, winding roads that led back to their flat. Y/N knew she wouldn't be able to change his mind about Haaland, but she couldn't help feeling a twinge of curiosity about the handsome footballer. Maybe she would run into him again someday, she thought wistfully.
As they arrived home, Y/N stormed off, slamming the door behind her. She knew she might be acting childish. But she didn't care. She couldn't help but still feel frustrated from the argument with her Richarlison.
As she changed into her pajamas. She couldn't believe Richarlison was being so overprotective over her, and she didn't think it was fair that he was trying to control who she talked to. As she got into bed, her phone buzzed with a notification from Instagram.
She saw that Erling Haaland had followed her. He also sent her a message asking her out on a date. Her heart skipped a beat as she read the message, feeling a mix of joy and nervousness. She quickly replied, thanking him for the offer and saying she would love to go out with him sometime.
Despite her brother's disapproval, Y/N couldn't help but feel drawn to Erling. She knew she would have to be careful not to upset Richarlison, but she couldn't ignore the fluttering in her stomach at the thought of going out with the talented footballer. She drifted off to sleep with thoughts of Erling Haaland swirling in her mind.
------------
Y/N's date with Erling Haaland had been incredible. He was everything she had ever wanted in a man - charming, funny, caring, and hardworking. He was a total gentleman and made her feel like she was the only woman in the world. As they went on more dates, Y/N started to realize that she was falling for him, and two months later, they were practically dating.
But there was a big problem - Y/N had been keeping her relationship with Erling a secret from Richarlison. She was scared of what he might do when he found out, and the thought of him finding out made her anxious.
Y/N knew that Richarlison had a strong disliking towards her dating Erling or any other footballers, and he had made it clear that he didn't want her to get involved with them. But she couldn't help the way she felt, and she didn't want to lose the person who had brought her so much happiness.
As she lay in bed that night cuddled up to Erling, she couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and anxiety. She knew she had to tell Richarlison eventually, but the thought of how he might react kept her up at night. Y/N didn't want to lose her brother's trust and respect, but she also didn't want to give up the person who made her feel so happy and fulfilled.
-------------
Y/N couldn't believe what had just happened. This was definitely not how she had wanted her brother, Richarlison, to find out. She had thought she had the house all to herself, with Richarlison supposedly at a friend's birthday party until tomorrow. It was perfect timing, as Erling was free to come over. One thing had led to another, and their evening activities had ended up in her bedroom.
"Fuck, you drive me crazy," Erling grunted as he slipped his shirt off. Y/N pulled him towards her, and their lips met in a passionate embrace. Victoria tasted the sweetness of the wine he had been drinking as Erling's tongue explored her mouth. Their hands were everywhere, wandering around each other's bodies. Erling's hand found her bra strap, and as he was about to remove it, the door suddenly opened, and there stood Richarlison.
As Richarlison saw what was happening, he quickly closed the door. Y/N and Erling were startled, and the moment the door opened, Erling went straight to cover both of them. "Fuck," Y/N exclaimed, scared for what was about to happen. Outside the room, Richarlison was banging on the door, demanding them to get dressed and get out right away.
Y/N's heart was racing with fear and embarrassment as she quickly scrambled to get dressed, with Erling by her side. She opened the door. "What are you doing here?" she asked him, puzzled.
"What am I doing here? It's my home!" Richarlison yelled at her, his voice filled with anger and frustration.
Erling stepped in, straightening himself and displaying his full height. "Hey, calm down," he said to Richarlison. "You stay out of it," Richarlison responded, turning his attention back to Y/N.
"I forgot the gift for the party so I came back to get it, and I came to ask you again if you were sure you didn't want to come with me to the party. But to my surprise, you were having your own party!" Richarlison yelled at Y/N, clearly upset.
Erling pulled Y/N behind him and stepped close to Richarlison. "If we are going to have this conversation, don't yell at her," Eriling yelled back at Richarlison.
"She's my sister! We yell at each other all the time. Who are you to tell me what to do?" Richarlison responded, his voice still raised.
"I'm just saying this isn't Y/N's fault. It's yours. She would have told you we were dating, but she was too afraid of what your reaction would be," Eriling said.
"Dating! My fault! It's your fault!" Richarlison shouted, pushing Eriling.
"Yes, it's your fault," Eriling said, pushing him back.
"You want to fight? Fine!" Richarlison said, grabbing a handful of Eriling's shirt.
"Why not?" Eriling said, pushing Richarlison again.
Y/N screamed at them to stop. Both men turned to look at her and saw tears streaming down her face. "Just stop both of you! I'm sick and tired of this who-has-the-bigger-dick competition!" she shouted at them, her voice shaking with anger and frustration.
Both men reacted at the same time, stepping in to comfort her. "Y/N," Richarlison said, calling her by her name. "Baby," Eriling said, using a term of endearment.
Y/N stepped back from both men, turning to face Richarlison. "Just stop, Richarlison! I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I knew you would act like this. And I don't understand why, when I'm an adult, I can do what I want. Erling is good to me. If you love me and respect me as your sister, you will try to get to know Erling, or at least tolerate him for me," she said firmly.
She then turned to Erling and said, "Erling, I'm completely falling for you. If you truly like me, you'll do the same. You both need to put your differences aside if you love me because I am not choosing one over the other."
With that, Y/N walked away, leaving both men standing there, completely baffled by what had just happened.
Richarlison and Erling stood there in silence for a few moments, processing what had just happened. Eventually, Erling spoke up.
"I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to cause trouble between you and your sister. I really care about her."
Richarlison let out a deep sigh. "I know, and I'm sorry too. I just... I don't want my sister to get hurt, you know?"
Erling nodded. "I understand. But you have to trust her to make her own decisions and trust that she knows what's best for her. And I can definitely assure you that I'm very serious about her this is not a game for me."
Richarlison thought for a moment. "You're right. I guess I just need to get to know you better and give you a chance. I trust my sister, and if she sees something in you, then she must be right."
Erling smiled. "I'd like that."
Richarlison gets serious again and says, "But if you hurt her, we'll be having a different conversation!"
Erling shakes his head. "I understand." He says.
They shake hands, and Y/N cames back into the room. "So, are we good?" she asked, looking at both of them.
Richarlison nodded. "Yeah, we're good. I'll try to be more understanding."
Y/N smiled. "Thank you. And Erling, are you okay?"
Erling nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just want to make things right between us."
Y/N smiled at him. "I know you will. I trust you." Y/N gave them both a hug.
She felt relieved that things were starting to work out. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to work at it if it meant she could be with the person she loved.
As they all settled down on the couch, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the two men in her life. They were both flawed, but they were also both willing to put their differences aside for her. And in that moment, that was all that mattered.
"Ghostboy in Hisui" AU drabble ahead. Basically, Dawn came back from Hisui as well and visits Allister. The shy ghostboy is very happy to see his friend again. Let's go, my dear fellas. 😊
Drabble: The Ghostboy And The Champion Of Sinnoh
It was a quiet afternoon in Stow-On-Side. Allister sat in the kitchen and drank some tea. Bea glanced affectionately at her beloved little brother. She didn't fail to notice the peaceful smile on Allister's adorable face.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. What the siblings didn't suspect was, that a certain someone wanted to pay Allister a visit. As Bea opened the door, she was face to face with Dawn, the Champion from Sinnoh. "Hi! I'm Dawn! Is Allister home?"
"I'm his big sister. My name is Bea. Yes, he is home." The fighter, who couldn't believe her eyes, answered. "Can I come in, please?" "Sure!" As soon as Dawn was inside, she immediately noticed her favorite ghostboy.
Allister recognized Dawn's voice and didn't hesitate to rush to her. "There you are, Al!" Dawn wrapped her arms around Allister. To Bea's surprise, her shy little brother cuddled close to Dawn. "I promised that I would visit you. Here I am, Al." Dawn smiled.
"Do you want some tea?" Allister spoke up, a kind smile on his maskless face. Soon, Dawn and the siblings were in the kitchen. "It's so nice to meet you, Bea! Allister talked a lot about you at our time in Hisui." "Nice to meet you too, Dawn."
After a moment of silence... "Dawn?" "Yes, Bea?" "Thank you for taking care of him back then. I'm glad that he gained you as a big sister figure." The Fighting Type Gym Leader couldn't be more grateful that Allister was in good hands back then.
Dawn couldn't help but smile as she heard Bea's kind words. "I was very surprised as he was sent back in time, not unlike I was. We had a lot of missions together. Allister always did very good! Every single time, I was proud of him. I still am!" Dawn explained.
"She always protected me, Bea. Soothing the frenzied Noble Pokemon was our most important task, aside from studying wild Pokemon. Lord Avalugg was the hardest battle." Allister chimed in. Bea took softly his small hand.
Allister clearly remembered as one of Lord Avalugg's icy projectiles hit his head. This was the exact moment Zoey evolved into a Zoroark. Her protectiveness towards Allister triggered her evolution. She used her new strength to kick Lord Avalugg's ass.
Bea already knew about the incident with Lord Avalugg. She glanced at the tiny, barely visible, scar on Allister's forehead. Bea also knew about Allister and Dawn's banishment. She was still mad about the fact that her eight years old little brother was blamed for something he didn't do.
Allister noticed Bea's expression. The small boy intertwined his fingers with Bea's. "It's ok, big sister. I'm alright. And the people from Hisui properly apologized after everything was over." "I know, Alli. It's just so unfair that they blamed you for something that wasn't your fault to begin with." Bea sighed.
Seeing Allister and Bea being so sweet to each other definitely warmed Dawn's heart. The Ghost Type Gym Leader and the Fighting Type Gym Leader truly loved one another. "You two are so cute!" Dawn said softly. She spend many hours with the Gym Leader siblings.
As she had to go, Dawn promised to visit Allister every once in a while. He wasn't only her dear friend, he also was her little brother figure. It was quite obvious that Allister and Dawn were very happy to see each other again soon.
The End
"good it's all I ever wanted.." he touched my abdomen it was the look in his eye's my heart dropped. No! You can not leave me! I can't be pregnant "Tell" he inhaled "kid's I love them" he exhaled touching my face I touched his hand "I love you" tears fell from his face "what a lucky man I was.."
"rest you need your strength" I feel my eye's swell he dropped his hand "no! No! No! Don't you dare leave me!!"
I couldn't feel his pulse nor could I hear him breath. I shut my eye's holding his body closely, has my tears fell. I sobbed holding his body. I looked seeing my children Kon, breathing heavy as his tears fell and clinching his fist, Conner grabbed his hair shocked his tears falling, Jonathan sobbing holding onto Conner. I stood in my old home Wayne Manor wearing my black dress. Underneath my dress wearing bandaging around my arm's. All my children, Bruce's children and some of the League along with the team. As we all stood in the large living room. Picture frames of Clark and the kid's. Our wedding photos and of us throughout our loving marriage. 20 amazing year's. Now I only see him in my dreams, pictures, memories and in my son's. I see M'gann standing by Conner's side and Cassie comforting Kon. I am grateful my two oldest have loving relationships. I see my brother wearing his suit and tie, beneath bandages. He looks at me and I see a eight year old boy telling me that at least he didn't lose me. He glances to the table of food placed out. I shook my head gently unable to even think about eating. I hear, Selina talking as Bruce turns his head away from me. I leave unable to stand another moment in there. I walk down the hall to my old bedroom. I shut the door seeing my room exactly how I left it so many year's ago that feels like only yesterday. I see my Queen size bed, two nightstands and another door leading to my bathroom. On the end of my bed a bedroom bench. On my nightstand a picture frame. The picture of Clark and I. I sat on my bed wrapping my arm's around myself crying. I rubbed my arm's wishing Clark would. I started sobbing, I cover my mouth so my children wouldn't hear me. I feel the need to vomit I try to hold it back but can't. I ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. As I stop I grab a cloth to wipe my face smelling disgusting. I feel my abdomen in pain and breast hurt. I sat on the floor crying I remember Clark feeling my abdomen knowing I'm pregnant. I remember the day he told me that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I hear a knock on the door. I stutter holding my tears back. I do not want anyone to see me right now. I waited assuming whomever was knocking left. I stood walking to my bed. I laid down putting a cover on me. I feel so broken but I have to stay strong for my kid's and my unborn baby.
"Y/N"
I sat up taking a deep breath, Bruce? "B-Bruce?" my voice breaking I took a deep breath
He opened the door I dry my tears "what is it?"
He sighed deeply "I wanted to make sure you were alright?" he held a plate of food and a glass of water
I look away from him feeling my eye's swell. With my arm's still around myself. He put the plate and glass on my nightstand. He walked sitting on my bedroom bench. I drank some water knowing I have to take care of myself.
"you're not going to eat?" he says bluntly
"I just threw up my dinner from last night incase you didn't notice the horrible smell, no thank you" I say bitterly
"how far along are you?" he says slightly different tone with more concern, of course he knows
I think for a moment I haven't been intimate with my husband since. Oh right 4 week's ago on the picnic we had. We rarely get to be intimate do to the League and patrol getting in the way
"4 week's"
There was a long silence "I don't believe he's dead"
I started crying "well then if Batman believes my husband is not truly gone then perhaps there's still hope"
Bruce, stood he walked sitting next to me. I laid my head on his shoulder and cried. He leaned his head on mine. I wrapped my arm around his. He kissed my head.
"I want you to stay here for a few week's or more. We should run some test at the watchtower" Bruce said his tone blunt as always
"just shut up, Bruce"
That evening Jonathan, Kon, Conner and I drove in the truck back to our farm. I need to throw up I hold it back with my hand on my mouth. I gulped pulling the truck over
"Ma, what's wrong?" I hear
I opened the car door I run into the grass throwing up. Conner held my hair back. I wipe my face as I finally stop. Conner touched my back and I can't help but remember Clark. I see Jonathan and Kon with worried looks
"are you ok momma" Jonathan asked worried
"I'm fine, boy's" I'm not ready to tell them I'm pregnant, not today "just sick is all" I took a deep breath burping "hmm excuse me. I'm ok I promise" trying to reassure my son's I'm ok
"here go sit down in my seat Ma I'll drive" Conner says calming though I can hear his worry
I groaned feeling sick "I'm fine, son I'll drive"
"Ma" he says sternly
I see the desperation in Conner's eye's, seeing Clark I nod "ok"
That night I laid in my bed feeling coldest night in my life. I have to stay strong for my children. I want to cry myself to sleep. Though I know my son's could easily hear my crys.
There's this boy...
Tumblr media
Y/n loves having late night conversation with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man even though she hasn't seen his face yet they were pretty close, one day they asked eachother if they have a crush on anyone and y/n said it was her best friend but what she didn't know is that she's talking to him all along
Pairing: Peter x fem!reader
Status: bestiessss
"So you have a crush on anyone?" Spider-Man asked me, yes I know Spider-Man and we've become really close these past few weeks, it all started when I was sitting on the roof of my building looking at the stars to calm myself down from the exams I was gonna take, and surprisingly Spider-Man saw me and asked if I was ok
after that our interaction blossomed to a beautiful friendship, I still don't know his secret identity but he says it's because he's protecting me.
"Oh uhhh yeah" I looked down contemplating whether to tell him about my secret crush on my best friend for 2 years now
"Really? Who is it" he sounded a bit...disappointed
"Oh uhm I'll tell you if you tell me yours?" I said looking at him cheekily
"It's you" he whispered but I couldn't hear it
"What?" I said confused
"Oh Um it's my best friend" he said sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck
"Oh you have a best friend? I thought I was the only friend you had" I said fake offended And he punched me jokingly
"Shut up" he laughs "she doesn't know I'm Spider-Man but I really like her and I think she likes someone else" he looked at you, you could tell by the mask that his eyes were droopy and his body stiffened
"Ironically, it's my best friends too" I told him looking at the sky, his eyes widened
"What?" He spat looking at me, nervously
"Yeah? My best friend" I confirmed confused by how he handled it
"w-which one?" I looked at him like he was crazy
"I only have one best friend, I mean Ned and mj are really close as well but I don't know why I fully trust Pete to another level than others"
"Wait- so you have a crush on Peter?" His eyes widened even more if that could even happen
"Y-yeah" I said sheepishly "I've never confessed it out loud, and I always wanted to tell him but I think he has a crush on a senior called Liz, I mean I get it, she's really pretty, and smart.....and rich, while I'm just a nobody who gets crazy the moment she gets comfortable with you, like seriously I don't think anyone saw me crazy the way Peter does, everybody thinks I'm a shy girl but Peter knows the real me so maybe that's why he doesn't like me, he may think my crazy side is too much or worse he may think I'm like a...sister to him" i said looking down tears daring to escape my eyes any minute now, emotional, I know I know, pathetic
I looked up at Spider-Man since he hasn't said a word after my stupid rant but when we locked eyes he lifted his mask till his nose, I thought he just wanted to eat his sandwich, but he didn't grab his delicious deli sandwich, instead...he grabbed me 😂
and....kissed me, he felt safe, tasted sweet, he leaned in more deepening the kiss and gripped my waist tighter, I almost went to straddle his lap but then remembered...Peter
he's not Peter, he's not the boy I've fell in love with, I pulled away and I could tell he was sad about it
"I like you" he whispered hovering my lips, I wanted to say I liked him too but I loved someone else, if I didn't feel this pain and guilt in me for kissing someone other than Peter, even if we haven't kissed at all, I would have kissed him again and again
"I'm sorry spidey, but, you're not Peter" he looked at me confused then chuckled lightly
"Y/n, please don't freak out after I do this" he whispered , lifting his mask further, and I widened my eyes, was he seriously about to reveal his identity to me so I can stay with him?
I turned around, not wanting to see the real him, it felt weird
"You can look you know" he chuckled, I turned around slowly but as soon as I saw his strangely familiar brown locks I turned away, but then it hit me
"Please tell me I didn't just confess my feelings to the person I've been in love with for 2 years by accident" I blurted out, squinted my eyes, and he chuckled again, he caressed my jaw turning me around and that's when I saw him, the all too familiar curly brown hair, his lightly freckled skin, and his soft pink lips
"Hey" he whispered leaning in closer like last time
"Hi" I whispered back and our lips collided for the second time tonight, but the difference is I wanted more and needed more
We both smiled to the kiss, not wanting to let go of eachother, his grip on my waist lowered, so he could carry me, and so I straddled his lap and tugged his curls which caused him to groan, after a few seconds we pulled away for air.
"So, Spider-Man, huh?" I smirked titltong my head
"Of all the reactions I'd thought you'd make, this is the one your using?" He laughed making trails of kisses down to my neck
"Well, I expected myself to be mad but I guess I'm not" I giggled "I'm just glad that the person I love and the 'celebrity superhero crush' I had were the same person" I laughed shaking my head
"'Celebrity superhero crush?" He smiled
"Oh don't start that now, just kiss me, dumbass" you jokingly slapped his head
"I-I love you too, by the way" he said suddenly getting all nervous "I liked that I could talk to you all day long, from picking you up in the morning, to going to school, to doing homework's and watching movies with the Ned and mj, and also talking to you before I go to bed, I never realized how much I need you everyday until you said you liked somebody else, at that time, I thought you meant some random boy and if 'he' liked you too, we wouldn't spend as much time together" his voice broke
I looked at him lovingly, I didn't like when Peter got sad or reacted in a negative way it broke me
"Well, be grateful that I chose you and not some random basket ball player" I said cheering him up
"I love you" I kissed him
" I love you too" he mumbled in my lips causing me to laugh "what?" He laughed
"dating you's gonna be fun"
Have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night!
Maybe, Just Maybe
Someone To Stay Ch. 5
Spencer x Fem reader
Content/Trigger warnings: a little bit of body image issues
Tumblr media
Spencer POV:
It's been a few days since I hung out with Y/N. I'm truly glad she was the one I got to go with. I feel like we might have a lot in common, and she's easy to be around. For a little while, I almost forgot about everything that happened...about her. The next day the thoughts came sinking slowly back in, but they don't feel as debilitating as they used to. Maybe Derek was right, getting out, being around people, it may not be easy for me but it may be what's best. Maybe I should try to get out of my comfort zone a little. I want to get better, I do. But being social, well it's never been my strong suit, and to try to do it now, when I feel so emotionally vulnerable, it's particularly difficult.
Other than the dinner at Rossi's, my friends haven't been inviting me out as much as they used to. I'm pretty sure they got tired of the inevitable rejection. I want them to see that I'm trying, that I want to do better, to get better. Maybe if I reach out first...
I grab my phone to call JJ. She's like a sister to me, and she's been the best at trying to understand what I've been going through.
"Hey, Spence!" She sounds surprised but glad to hear from me.
"Hey, I was uhh.. well I was just wondering..." my words trail off as I find myself suddenly losing confidence in my endeavor.
"Yeah, what's up?" Her voice has a calming effect on me.
"Well...I was wondering if the team had any plans this weekend? To hang out or...I don't know."
"Actually we don't. But we should! I think I have an idea. There's something I've been wanting us all to do. There's a Lakehouse up for rent, and I think it would be fun if we all went up for a weekend. What do you think?"
I'm not very into outdoor activities, but the idea of reading on a porch by the lake sounds incredibly calming and therapeutic. It also sounds like a good time for me to start hanging out with the team again.
"You know, that actually sounds perfect." I smile at the thought of the much needed weekend getaway.
"Perfect! I'll text the group! Thanks for giving me the nudge to set this up, Spence. It'll be fun."
I hang up and shortly after I hear the familiar ding from the group message chat.
BAU Baddies😎
JJ💖: Hey guys! Who would be down for renting a Lakehouse this next weekend?
DM🍫⚡️: Hell yeah! @ahotchner you know what that means?? Jet Skis baby!! 😜🤙🏻
AB🌹: How fun! Count me in.
DR🇮🇹: I'll cook! I have a new recipe we can try out. I think you'll all love it👌🏻
PG🦄👸🏼: @jjereau @ablake We HAVE to go swimsuit shopping first, ladies! This is a non-negotiable.
AH: Sounds fun, are we bringing the kids this time?
JJ💖: Actually, Will is staying home and he'll be watching Henry. Jack can spend the weekend there, if you'd like. @ahotchner
AH: Thanks. I think I'll take you up on that offer.
DM🍫⚡️: @sreid you better be coming pretty boy, just bring a couple dozen books and you'll be set.
SR♟: Yep, already packing.
I smile to myself, thinking of how for once, I'm the reason we have plans. But if anyone else knew that, I'd never hear the end of it. I knew JJ was being intentional when she didn't mention that to the group. I hear another group chat alert and glance at my phone.
BAU Baddies😎
JJ💖: Hey, is it alright if I invite Y/N again?
AB🌹: Oh I thought that was a given! You definitely need to! She fits in with us so well.
PG🦄👸🏼: You better! Or I won't let you hear the end of it 😂
JJ💖: Great! Thanks you guys, it means a lot that you've been so welcoming to her.
Y/N will be there. Maybe I'll have a friend who will hang back and read with me. It would be nice to not be the only one. Then I remember what she said about moving here because she loves the outdoors. That means she'll probably be hanging out with Derek, JJ, and whoever else. Oh well. At least maybe I'll get to talk to her more. I decide to text her. I never really text anyone, but she doesn't know that.
Y/N
Hey, it's Spencer. I heard JJ
wanted to invite you to the lake.
Do you think you'll go?
Yeah! I just got off the phone
with her. I can't wait! Are you
going?
Surprisingly...yes. I'll be bringing
some books along to pass the time
but it'll be nice to have a change
of scenery.
Books??? We'll see about that😉
I love a good book as much as the
next bibliophile...but this is a
weekend for things you CANT
do at home. Anyways, would you
want to carpool? We can take turns
driving if one of us gets tired.
Passenger is in control of snacks
and music! 🎶🍿
Haha, ok deal. We'll work out
the details later. And...thanks :)
Anytime Spencer, can't wait! 👍🏻
I lean back into the couch and smile. Even if we spend the weekend doing different things, at least we'll get to talk on the way there. I feel like she could become a good friend, but I don't want to make any assumptions...I don't do this often.
Y/N POV:
You run around your room, packing for a trip that's days away. You're too excited, it can't wait. Just as you're trying to decide on a swimsuit you get a text from Penelope, saying that the girls are going swimsuit shopping this evening. They want you to come. You can't hide the smile growing on your face. How long has it been since you've been on a girls shopping trip? You can't even remember. It's spontaneous, so you assume no one will be too dressed up. You throw on a black sleeveless t shirt dress and some strappy sandals. Easy enough to get in and out of for trying on clothes. After brushing through your hair and applying some quick, light makeup, you're ready to go. The girls had decided to meet at the mall, for the most options.
You meet up with Aunt JJ, Penelope, and Alex outside of a nice department store.
"I figured we could start here. It has the most options and it's at the end of the mall. So we can work our way down, until we all find something."
Aunt JJ tends to take charge. She's such a mom, but that's part of what you love about her. Always prepared, caring for everyone. Alex found a cute one piece with a wrap to wear as a skirt. Penelope picked out a cute pink and purple polka-dotted swim dress. JJ ended up with a sports-bra fitting bikini top and some athletic looking swim shorts. Still such a typical mom. The only one left is you. You haven't tried on very many things, and what you did try on, never made it out of the dressing room.
"Y/N, why don't you let us pick you out some things to try on, and this time, you have to at least let us see. Deal?" Penelope gives you a look of encouragement.
"Sure" you shrug. "I'll try anything at this point."
Alex stays with you while JJ and Penny go to pick out some swimsuits for you. They return with a few handfuls of options. You try on the first option, picked out by Penny. It's a cute two piece, frilly and pink. You come out and are greeted with a few giggles.
"As cute as this is, I think it's more your style than mine, Penny" you let out a small laugh.
"Oh I know. I just wanted to see you in it! I couldn't pull it off in a thousand years!" She laughs.
"Alright alright, let's keep going." JJ ushers me back into the dressing room.
I come back out in a black two piece. It doesn't show too much skin to make me uncomfortable, but it's really flattering on my curves.
I hear a chorus of "ooooo" and one "yes queen!" that I'm sure came from Penny.
"Really, you guys? It's not too...ya know."
JJ shakes her head at me. "No definitely not. Girl, you're single, you're in your twenties, your body hasn't had a child yet. If you got it, flaunt it. If not now, then when?"
The girls all nod in agreement. You blush. You didn't know you could look this good in a swimsuit. You usually avoided bikinis. You found it hard to feel comfortable in your own skin. Whenever you tried to dress sexy, you just ended up feeling awkward and uncomfortable. It helps to have some friends to encourage you. You look at yourself in the mirror one last time. Okay, even you had to admit, you look hot.
The four of you end the day with lunch, chatting about your plans for the lake.
JJ turns to you. "Y/N, I almost forgot, do you need a ride down there? I can pick you up, if you'd like."
"Ohh uh, no actually. I'm carpooling with Spencer." I give her a shy smile. I know what this looks like. "We're just friends" I quickly interject.
"That's great" she says, giving me her warm smile. "Spence really needs a friend right now. And I bet you do too." There's understanding in her eyes. You're grateful that she didn't try to make more out of it. Aunt JJ knows you, though. She knows you make guy friends much more easily. That aside, you were still so grateful for the day with the girls. They were all so genuine, and easy to get along with. They didn't make you feel like an outsider intruding on their day.
Later that evening, you lay in bed as you try to quiet your mind. Your head is swimming with too many thoughts to fall asleep: anxieties about this weekend, but also excitement and ideas of what you'll do. Not to mention, more time to get to know Spencer better. You wonder what JJ meant when she said Spencer really needed a friend right now. Maybe, just maybe, you'd break through his walls a little more this weekend.
A/N: sorry this one is short-ish. It's kind of a transition chapter so there's not as much content! Building a base, building friendships, hang with me, we're getting there 😁💖✌🏻
They get to spend all of quarantine with their s/o (Monsta X)
Request : Hi!! Could you do an exo and/or Monsta x reaction to getting to spend all of quarantine with you?
Sorry I put in bullet points bc it's felt like it made more sense? Sorry if you didn't like that. I also included what y'all would do. Bc why not¿
Shownu :
Tumblr media
Omg this precious little bear was beyond excited to spend quarantine
Like as soon as his manager said plans were cancelled until further notice he ran out of the practice room
"Y/n I'm staying with you during quarantine..."
"Oh. Aight"
Your guy's quarantine consisted of laying in bed from the moment you woke up till 4 pm
As well as making a lot of food
And taking baths bc social distancing who?
Leads to other things 34% if the time, bc why not??
And of course singing together and him teaching you how to dance to all the songs
Cooking with this dude, where do I start
100% chance of making a mess
Would knock over bowls of side dishes while trying to grab a towel to wipe his hands
Just smiled at you when the food is all over the ground
Talking to the other members over the phone during dinner so it was like you guys were all eating together
Taking food to the other members and leaving it on the doorstep
One time they came outside before he was able to run back to the car and he was convinced he was contaminated
You had to spray him with Lysol to make him feel better
Him just being a whole lil bear the whole time
You guys would go on walks when you'd feel couped up too much
Y'all would be that extremely cute ass couple during quarantine
"I'm so glad I got to spend my quarantine with you" he'd say while kissing your forehead
"I love you y/n"
"I love me too, but your cool too"
"That's not funny" cue pout
Wonho :
Tumblr media
Would literally be so happy to spend time with you
Hasn't seen you in like 2 weeks because of his rigorous schedule
When he finally gets to you're guy's apartment he'd just drop all his stuff and run to you, wrapping you in the biggest hug
You guys would eat until you couldn't breath
Ordering take out everyday sometimes for all 3 meals
You guys would take an online art class because why not
Video chatting his family and ofc the members to make sure everyone was well and healthy
Calling his mom 3 times a day
Would be the person who stocks up on toilet paper
Disinfecting everything every morning
Singing karaoke every day after dinner
Doing workouts in the living room because you guys gained weight and he wanted to watch his gorgeous figure
You'd help him write lyrics
You guys would try to be productive and do fun things like read at least once every other day
He'd be so happy to spend time with you like omg
Would literally cry when he looked at you sometimes bc he just loves you that much
Your guy's favorite things to do was lay in bed in each other's arms
"I wish we could stay like this forever, I love you so much y/n"
"I love you too, but can you let me go I have to pee really bad"
Your guy's quarantine would honestly be so fun
Minhyuk :
Tumblr media
Would honestly act like he didn't want to spend time with you
"I guess I'm stuck with you"
\(-_-)/
"Your so lucky to have me, huh because I bought food"
Supports every small business and buys from all of them so they'd keep going
"I'll have 3 jars of kimchi, 2 bowls of kimchi jjigae, just give me half of everything"
"Minhyuk where are we gonna put all this the fridge is full"
Gives almost all the food to his family and the members
Buys like 2,264 board games
"Hey, you wanna play Monopoly I'll let you win"
Once again \(-_-)/
Fights about the dumbest thing
"I wanted to buy boardwalk!"
Throws your character off the board
Another person who stocks up, but he bought all the ramen
Your guy's quarantine would be so unproductive honestly
Like you guys just sit around playing board games
Listening to music all day everyday
Going for walks when the sun went down
If he sees an animal on the street he is bringing it home for "safety reasons"
"Look y/n this poor pigeon was left on the street"
Did I mention \(-_-)/
"Minhyuk... It's a pigeon"
Dancing throughout the house
He broke the TV while doing a twirl
Blames it on the pigeon, who you guys have name Piggy
Trying on each others clothes
But at the end of the day he'd be so happy he could spend his quarantine with you and Piggy
"I guess your ok to spend time with..."
Kihyun :
Tumblr media
He would be so happy to spend time with you
Would be the most precatious person
"Put on gloves y/n"
"I'm changing the channel..."
Would 10/10 spray down everything before you guys touch it
You guys baked a lot during quarantine
Burning almost everything
Would try to make jokes the whole time
They were not good...
He would try to teach you how to hit the highest notes
Him almost breaking the window
Singing together while reading
Would call every member every day to see how they were doing
You guys would try gardening together because you guys got bored
10/10 the type of dude to telling everyone to buy from small business
If he saw anyone in the street outside the window, he'd yell at them
"Get inside!"
"Do you want to die?!"
You guys would people watch
You guys tried everything possible to pass boredom
Yoga, Singing, Staring Contests
If you got sick would literally call an ambulance
"They want to know if you have a fever, are experiencing lethargy, or have a cough?"
"Kihyun I just have a stomach ache"
Would be so relieved when he just found out it was just gas
He would not let you leave the house
"I really care about you, I cant risk you getting sick"
"You do knows there is a 3% chance of death right"
"But I wouldn't be able to see you"
Wow, whatta man
Hyungwon :
Tumblr media
He honestly would be one of those ppl who didn't take it very very serious
"You wanna go to the park?"
"We can barely leave our house to get food?!"
"Ok, loser"
Was happy to spend time with you, but he wanted to actually do things with you like go to dinner
He just wanted to spend quality time with you
You guys would just lay in each other's arms everyday watching TV
Blinds closed letting no light in
The members would call you guys because after 3 days of nothing they were worried
"Oh we're fine, we've just been eating, sleeping and watching TV"
You guys would watch watch every variety show they have been on
You guys would try dying your hair by yourselves
"Wow y/n this blue is really nice"
"Blue it was supposed to be lilac"
How???
Shopping online for everything, food, clothes, furniture
"Y/n we need a new couch I just bought one"
\(-_-)/
You guys got erasable markers and literally drew on the wall
But they did not come off...
He would be kind of sad that he couldn't take you anywhere
But being the cutie he is he'd find ways to do cute date ideas at home
Jooheon :
Tumblr media
"Guess what I'm coming home for quarantine!!!!"
Literally couldn't wait to hold you in his arms
Would cry when he came home, because he gets to spend time with you for who knows how long
You guys just hold each other and cry
Would follow you everywhere
If you went to get the mail he'd go with, if you needed to run to the store to get food, he's right by you
"Why is the door locked??? Y/n, you alive? Did corona get you???"
"Don't break the door down! I'm taking a bath"
"Ohhh, let me in!"
This little jerk picked the lock
You guys just sat in the tub for like 3 hours talking about what you should do during quarantine
Things you would do together during quarantine include sitting in the tub for 3 hours everyday
Calling his sister every day so he could talk to his cute niece
He would teach you all his rap parts from every song he could
You guys would send the members a goodie package every week with food and toiletries
Because he worried about them
You guys would take online dance class
Because why not???
Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot, Meringue
He would enjoy every minute with you
You're guys little vacation came to a halt when he fractured his fibula after falling down the stairs
He felt bad that you had to take care of him
But he was so grateful to have you by his side to help him
"Y/n you don't have to get up I can go to the kitchen to get a fork"
Could barely get off the couch
"Just please sit hear"
"So like you wanna bang?"
"No, I want you to get better"
After he got injured he just got so sad that he couldn't do anything with you really anymore
"I love you y/n"
"I love you too"
I.M :
Tumblr media
He already was used to seeing you basically everyday
The only difference was you guys got to stay home
You guys didn't even have to change your schedule
He was grateful that he was able to wake up to you every morning tho
"Good morning, cutie"
"Why are you so close??"
Would be so nice the entire quarantine
Need him to wash your hair, just yell for him
Need something off the top shelf
He got it covered
There would be days where you guys just laid in bed the whole day though
You had online school throughout this time
"Y/n hang out with me!¡!¡"
"I'm doing homework for my English class"
"But I'm cuter than English class"
*insert pouty face*
Would try to get in your pants every other hour
You'd let him because ofc
"No, not now Changkyunnie..."
"Yes, now... Pleaseeeeee"
All the members would worry about you because you guys were the youngest and they thought you wouldn't take this seriously
Y'all did though, you only left the house for food
"Y/n am I cute?"
"No, now go to sleep"
"But I love you and I miss you"
"I'm right next to you and it's 3 am"
Bro. Idk why but this drained me I'm gonna write the exo one different bc I literally ran out of ideas of what to do doing quarantine.
can i request a hq matchup with a male character?
i'm 5'2 female with a slim athletic figure which i maintain with care (i was really insecure about my body ahaha). im an entj-t and i can seem insensitive at times because i can be a blunt, although other people say that im kind?? lmao. im a pretty responsible person, but i can become paranoid if my plans dont turn out exactly the way i want them to. im an overachiever and a bit of a tryhard, which is why i had good grades im a patient-ish person when it comes to fighting, i prefer to make more logical statments when it comes to fighting instead of bursting into spiteful comments. if you yell at me i will cry, not because im sad but because im angry. i like to think im emotional like that?? i rarely ever yell because ive been told they cant take me seriously when i do. im a physically affectionate person, and pretty energetic when i get into something , but the way i type has people thinking im disinterested or i hate them. im easily excitable and satisfied, so im pretty low maintenance.
i cann make friends but not easily, which is why i have a friend group i keep super close to me. my role in the group is big-sister (too mature to be a child, too immature/excitable to be a parent)
my aesthetic/fashion switches or mixes between towards minimalist and ulzzang. i wear really light makeup and have straight brown hair which i usually lightly curl at the tips. I have side bangs from when i let my bangs grow out.
horny. daddy issues. attraction to masc men. a lot of people dont know this about me because they dont expect it from me apparently?
I kin shinobu kocho and nejire hado
thank you in advance ♡
hello! thank you for reqesting! we stan horny bitches with daddy issues (ahaha me) and i aspire to have good grades like you do. anyways, here’s your matchup!
i match you up with kageyama!
Tumblr media
like you, kageyama is also pretty blunt, but he doesn’t come off as kind like you do. since both of you don’t have to sugarcoat anything for each other, there is a lot of trust in your relationship, because both of you know you won’t lie to the other. since you are pretty extroverted, you can help kageyama be able to make more friends, which the entire karasuno team is very grateful of.
since you have good grades, kageyama always asks if you could help him study, so you guys turned it into a lowkey kind of date, where you spend some time studying, and the rest of the time you guys watch a movie, put on facemasks, or he just listens to you talk about whatever you are feeling like talking about at the moment.
he really wants to teach you how to play volleyball, so once you agree, he will get really excited, though he won’t show it. when he’s teaching you, he is surprisingly calm and patient, because he just wants you to learn the sport that he is so passionate about. once you perfect a skill, he will get visibly excited, and start gushing about how he wants to teach you more.
kageyama loves your clothing aesthetic, and wants to learn how to dress like you do, so took him out on a shopping trip, and he bought new clothes that fit your vibe. when he saw you guys had matching aesthetics, he immediately went over to meet you and gave you a big hug and a small kiss on the top of your head.
since he never had many relationships before (romantic or otherwise), he is kinda nervous about pda, but once you tell him it’s ok, he will always hold your hand whenever you are going somewhere, and if you guys are travelling on public transportation, he will rest his head on your shoulder or vice versa.
you and kageyama will work out together, whether it is going out for morning runs, and then getting breakfast after, or something more intense over the weekend. both of you push each other to do even better than usual, and after you guys finish working out, you go to one of your houses and just chill for the rest of the day.
if your plans don’t work out the right way, he will assure you things will be fine, and if you are getting paranoid, he will do everything in his power to help you get your plans on track, and if he can’t do anything about it, he will tell you the positives of the recent change, and how you could make it work out for the better.
since you are more patient and rational, if kageyama ever gets mad, you are one of the only people who can calm him down, and help him see the other side of the argument. he knows that you won’t be biased when you explain things to him, so you are the only one he can trust to calm him down if he ever gets mad at someone.
please go to his games- like he will be so excited to see you cheering in the stands, and he will play a lot better (if that’s even possible), and be more cooperative with the team, because he just wants to impress you. after the game, he will always show you to the team, and nervously mumble how thankful he is that you came to watch him, with his arm wrapped around your waist the entire time.
overall, you guys are a couple that trust each other more than anyone else, and you know that kageyama will help you if you ever need it, and vice versa. you guys also kill the clothing game, and both of you can make casual clothes look so good and coordinated with each other, and people envy you guys for your stable and chill relationship.
i hope you enjoyed!
#96 you choose the pairing I'm ready to be soft over anyone
ok i promise after this ill go back to writing malum and lashton more regularly but we were already in so deep with mashton so here.......is this
-
Michael wakes up at six, to the coldness of a half-empty bed, and Ashton tugging on his jeans.
"Ash," Michael whines softly, even though he knows this is protocol. This is the deal, and Michael knows it has to be this, but he doesn't have to like it.
Ashton shushes him. "I'm sorry," he says, and sounds like he is.
"Can't you stay a little longer?" Michael reaches groggily for Ashton. "Five minutes. Come on."
"Mike," Ashton says, in that familiar you know I can't tone of voice. "You know I can't."
Michael does know. He knows Ashton's mum would ask questions if she found his bed empty in the morning, and questions would mean answers, and Ashton wouldn't have any truthful ones, because his mum doesn't even know he's gay, and anyway he's not supposed to be sneaking out — and Michael knows it's all for him, and he should feel grateful, and should feel lucky, which he does, but mostly he just feels sad. He wants Ashton to stay.
He knows it's selfish, and doesn't even care.
"I know," he says unhappily. "I'm sorry."
Ashton smiles at him, apologetic. "If I could stay, I would." He pulls his shirt over his head and leans over Michael for a kiss. Michael savors it until it ends, and then pouts as Ashton tugs the window open and climbs out. It's all very coming-of-age film, but Michael wishes they could skip to the ending, where Ashton's mum finds out and gives him her blessing to, like, move in with Michael so they can just sleep in the same bed every night and make out until they fall asleep.
As the window slides shut and Ashton disappears from outside of it, Michael closes his eyes, hugging the extra pillow in his bed to his chest. It's not the same as Ashton, who's sturdy and warm, but Michael falls back asleep all the same, buzzing from the parting kiss.
-
Michael could probably have a cool countdown moment to the knock on his window if he weren't too busy playing Fifa.
As soon as the knock does come, though, he ends the game and hurries over to open it. Ashton is outside, and before he can even speak Michael leans in and kisses him hard, almost daring Ashton to pull back. But Ashton just kisses him back, purposeful and direct, with the heat that Michael misses every hour he doesn't spend with Ashton.
Finally they part, and Ashton says, "Can I come in, Juliet?"
Michael steps back to admit Ashton, and Ashton pulls the window closed behind him. "Is everything okay?" Ashton asks. Michael doesn't answer, so Ashton holds out his arms, and Michael sags against him, weak in his embrace, and confident that Ashton won't let him fall.
"Tiring day," he mumbles. "I missed you. You weren't at school."
"Yeah, sorry," Ashton says. "I had to watch my siblings."
Michael doesn't ask why it's Ashton's job to watch his siblings. He already knows, and immediately feels badly for being so whiny. Here Ashton is, literally raising his brother and sister, and Michael's complaining about — what, exactly?
"No, no," he says. "Fuck. Sorry. Don't apologize. It's okay. I mean, it's not okay that you have to do that, but it's — you don't have to be sorry."
"Well, if it's any consolation, I missed you too." Ashton presses a gentle kiss against Michael's temple, and Michael tilts his head, a silent encouragement to continue.
"You smell nice," he says, as Ashton kisses his way down Michael's face and jaw. Michael pulls back enough to meet Ashton's eyes finally, and Ashton kisses him once on the mouth, so soft that Michael could melt in his arms.
"Thanks," he says. "I showered."
"Wow," Michael says. "For me? You shouldn't have."
"No, for my other super hot secret boyfriend. I'm going to see him when I leave in the morning."
"Well, by then you won't smell nice anymore," Michael reasons, tugging Ashton towards the bed with a crooked smile. "You'll just smell like me. And sex."
"I think you smell nice," Ashton says, affronted. "And I'm pretty sure sex is what, like, most perfume companies are selling."
Michael rolls his eyes. "I'm propositioning you," he says.
"I know that," Ashton says. Michael hates him.
"I wish you could stay," he says mournfully.
Ashton pushes lightly against Michael's chest, and Michael falls into his bed, bracketing Ashton with his legs.
"Stop thinking so much," Ashton says. "I'm here now."
"And yet here I am, still wearing all of my clothes."
Ashton shakes his head, immeasurably fond, and dips his head down to kiss Michael. "You're difficult," he says against Michael's mouth.
"You love it."
Ashton doesn't reply, just kisses him harder with a little more fire, and Michael decides he can stop thinking ahead for a little while. Ashton will fall asleep with him; Ashton risks his freedom to come kiss him goodnight. Michael's not going to ruin these spare hours with pesky thoughts of the future. He's got Ashton now.
One day he'll have Ashton forever, but right now Ashton is here, kissing him, wandering hands on Michael, and it's enough.
What's your favorite thing about each of TCC + Sachs and Sanchez (no idea if I spelled their names right)?
My favorite thing about them is just everything. And I mean everything when you finish this fic I'm gonna cry and then reread it over and over again so I can still "see" them.
jfhskdfjsk sorry for taking forever to reply. I’m still recovering from a very long January and my energy has been in flux :’D
Gosh, this is a hard question to answer cuz they’re like....my kids???? But I’ll try!!!
Fox: definitely the fact that she’s been through a whole lot of awful shit and still came out compassionate on the other side. It’s one of my favorite character archetypes tbh.
Jersey: the fact that he can make just about any scene funny. Also his emotions are just so big???? I love writing him because of this. I always know exactly what he’s thinking/feeling so it’s super easy to write from his perspective. He’s definitely someone who wears his heart on his sleeve and I love it!!!
Grizzly: he just cares SO much ALL THE TIME and like #mood but also ;-; Also his signature move is literally hugging people so hard they die and like. I can respect that.
Niner: ok confession time: canon 479er is just my little sister in machinima form. So that’s how I write her (with added murder, obviously. Like my sister lives in NYC so I’m not saying she hasn’t probably killed someone at some point but like...) But yeah I love her for the same reasons I love my sister: snarky, won’t put up with your shit, but also cares a lot and deep down really just wants everyone to be ok.
Siris: He’s a walking dad joke and a total dork who drinks Love My Wife juice. That and the fact that in TLRH, his entire wardrobe is canonically only purple clothes. It drives Meg nuts. Everyone in the neighborhood makes fun of him for it. He’s so goofy I love him so much.
Rocket: I love him bc he tries SO HARD to be one of the big kids. That and he’s the character that I can channel my dumb tumblr/twitter/tiktok humor through bc he’s the youngest one so it fits lmao.
Locus: I like him bc he’s a fucking CHALLENGE to write. Like holy god this man does NOT want character development to happen to him and it gives my brain a workout every time I have to drag him kicking and screaming through both the plot and his own emotions. He’s come so far and I’m very proud of him but I still want to hit him with a broom sometimes. Also it’s very fun to throw him into really goofy scenarios bc he never knows what to do. Like that one time Fox was just eating a head of lettuce on the floor. God bless him.
Cobalt: SHE’S SO BUBBLY AND FUN AND I CAN ALREADY TELL SHE’S GOING TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS TO WRITE!!! She’s just so fun and goofy and she vibes so well with the rest of the team and dskfjhdjukeafheadj I can’t explain how much I love her ok she’s SO good!!!
Marco: he’s also one of my favorite characters to write bc he’s just Locus and Fox at the same time. Like he wants SO BADLY TO CARE BUT DOESN’T WANT TO LET HIMSELF CARE BC EVERY TIME HE DOES SOMEONE WINDS UP DEAD!!!! LIKE?????? I LOVE YOU I WANT THE WORLD FOR YOU I’M SORRY I TRAUMATIZED YOU SO BAD PLEASE JUST LET THE REST OF YOUR TEAM HUG YOU FOREVER YOU TINY TOUCH-STARVED KNIFE MAN
Sanchez: (yes you spelled his name right) He’s actually based on my great uncle Benny!!!! Like his house is what I envisioned when I wrote about Fox visiting him that one time. He passed away last year of old age. I’m really grateful I got to meet him the few times that I did. After my sister and I moved north, we started to visit his house whenever our grandma (his sister) came to spend the month with him in the spring. I’m really glad we spent that time together. I guess I love Sanchez because in a way, he’s my great uncle immortalized in the text. I could go on and on about Benny tbh, so I’ll just leave it off here. (But I’m more than willing to share more about him if anyone’s interested.)
Sachs: (you spelled his name right too lol) he’s just Sarge but somehow more chaotic and with ridiculous amounts of political power. Which is terrifying. He also exclusively wields RIDICULOUSLY large weapons and I love him for it.
Marz: I love her because she’s an ASSHOLE. That and her character has a lot more depth than we’ve seen so far and I love her a lot bc I know what happens with her >:)
Milo: HE’S GOOD BOY!!!!
skfhdsjf I’m so glad you like them so much ahhhhhh!!! Thank you so much for the ask!!!! <3
Update for today
Tumblr media
Lockdown for Covid-19 March 27th
I guess I'm writing the story of my life...?
Things are better. Last night was rough because of depression and anxiety... I got to thinking why do I do this to myself? To be honest there is a lot I don't share with people and as a result I tend to break down at random times. I'm not looking for pity, more just friends... People who get it. I'm glad I started to post more on here as it feels sorta like a diary. And maybe right now that's what I need. Even if no one reads this that's ok.
Maybe I will just spell it all out. See what comes from it. So here it goes.
I haven't had a bad life. I'm only 23 but it just feels like a long life with many extra bumps in it... Things just manage not to go the way id like it to most of the time. So now I'm just used the noise. I had a good childhood but many many memories of a broken family. An angry dad (not necessarily towards us kids) a mom who coped with alcohol. I often took care of my siblings as the eldest of five. And there are many other things I won't mention... It was hard. It was dysfunctional. We'd have money then didn't. We'd have food then didn't. We'd have a week of no fighting with my parents and then they would be at each other's throats the next several weeks. We'd have moments of joy but usually short-lived moments. I'm not saying it was all bad. I have good memories too. Singing Taylor Swift songs to my mini laptop webcam is a memory I have. Making music with my brother was a good memory I have. And spending time with friends too.. it wasn't all bad...
Fast forward to about 3 years ago I thought I met the love of my life. Things seemed fine. But it was the calm before the storm. After my ex and I got together things sorta slowly started to get worse. My dad didn't support my relationship. He thought we were moving too fast. My mom wasnt happy and coped with more alcohol. And even tho they had briefly separated a couple years before I thought they wouldn't ever get divorced. Well I was wrong...
My ex and I tried so hard to make our relationship work. And I think I pushed things because I wanted some kind of happy ending. Most of my friends had gotten married or were in happy relationships. This was my first real relationship. So I thought this could be the last. There were constant fights and bitterness started to grow between us... We were co-dependent. We tried to live on our own but due to a mental illness he had, he had a hard time keeping a job. So we were just CONSTANTLY STRUGGLING. It just became not a safe place anymore. We did get engaged after about a year. My dad didn't agree and we didn't have any wedding help. My friends tried to help but it was almost like people didn't take us seriously. Which hurt because I was always there for them whether I agreed with their decisions or not. My mom straight up left my Dad and moved into her own place. I was in between a lot when it came to my mom and dad. Trying to help them to get along for my sister's sake. But there were many fights or my mom getting so drunk that the police were called... DISCLAIMER: I want to say. My parents aren't bad parents. They're just broken.
My ex and I were under so much never-ending stress. We broke up and got back together several times. It was awful. Words were said, feelings were hurt, then we'd forgive and start all over again. I like to think that was the burning Red Taylor was talking about. We loved each other so much. But it wasn't a healthy lifestyle. You lose yourself. You lose who you want to be just so you can help keep the other person from drowning. After two years my parents were officially getting divorced. My dad had gone through severe depression so I moved into his place because I honestly was afraid he would kill himself. That was rough. I had also briefly moved into my moms to help her. This was the breaking point for her. And I had to get my sisters who were living with her at the time and help them to pack up and leave. They no longer wanted to be there. Leaving her behind and closing her apartment door while glimpsing her looking so sad was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Time went on. We finally got through that. I got through that.
During this time I had lost friends. Or at least we didn't talk much anymore. I think they just didn't know how to approach me. And I know they didn't mean it. I was in a place where I couldn't be reached. Later my mom had left our state of NC and moved about 45 mins away to SC with her new Boyfriend. We like him. He's nice. And she's doing so much better! My dad had met a lady and got engaged rather quickly in my opinion lol. But as long as he's happy. When things finally started to calm down a bit with my family the damage had already been done in my relationship. It wouldn't stop. The fighting the arguing. Even after we had moved to our own little house. But it was still my home. I had my cats and my own space. I loved it. Well, back in November a huge fight had occurred and we believed we shouldn't be living together for the time being. I moved in with my grandmother.. I went back and forth a lot. Set up for Christmas and we even got to go on a little vacation. I hadn't been on a vacation in so long. Yet again, it was the calm before another storm. One night in December, the Friday before Christmas (my absolute favorite holiday) I got a call. It was my ex. He said he couldn't do it anymore. And that he was breaking up with me. He said he couldn't tell me face to face because it would be too hard and he probably would change his mind. And I cried. And begged him not too. This all happened after a particularly hard argument we had the day before. Where I had done something wrong and I did apologize for it. But it just wasn't enough... And that was it. The end of my 2-year whirlwind relationship. I was heartbroken. He got really angry and was just saying really mean things to me. Personal things that really affected me. I had to go get all my stuff. Leave one of my kitties behind and give the other one up because I couldn't bring her with me. She is rehomed to one of my best friends. She had been there through pretty much all of it. I'm so grateful I have her. I saw my ex went on a date after 3 weeks. And yeah. It was awful. I felt like the scum of the earth.
And I thought that was it... Hahaha It wasn't. I missed my period for the whole month of January. I didn't even think anything of it. Then I finally took a test. And LOW AND BEHOLD it was positive. My whole life took a fucking turn in one second and I was literally losing my mind. So yeah. Fast forward to now. I'm 16 weeks. Working through my severe depression and anxiety. I had had plans to really work on myself but now that I'm pregnant you can't really take many medications during this time. And that's very hard as I have trouble functioning normally day today... I was looking for a job for months and when I finally found one Covid-19 showed its ugly head and I lost that job. And now I'm here. Not sure of how I'm going to provide for this baby. But the father and I have much a better relationship then we've ever had. We are not back together tho. There's still struggles and obstacles but at this point it's just part of my life. So that's it more or less. That's where I'm at now. I'm very grateful that even tho my family isn't together we all still show up for each other. And even tho I sometimes still get stuck between my dad and moms problems they're still alive and well. And now I have a baby. Which was my ultimate dream. I guess I just want to know that I can provide a really good life for it. As these are not the circumstances I had wished for myself. And that it's childhood is better than my childhood or even my ex's. He struggled too... I'm scared right now because I can't work and I'm constantly battling these demons. But at the same time I know somehow it'll all work out... Eventually... You know what I hope for myself tho? That I find a love that's golden. Not red.
Author's note: This is a continuation of Wacky Drabbles #5 no prompt just dinner conversation...
Just Desserts
Tumblr media
Drake and Kate emerge from the laundry room a few minutes later. Wearing his damp bluejeans, Drake feels uncomfortable but at least he's dressed. Kate takes his hand and tugs, when he hesitates she whispers to him. “I promise to make it up to you later, now come on let's get this dinner over with.”
Drake whispers back with a grin, “I hope you're talking about dessert.”
Kate winks at him, “Yes, and I don’t mean apple pie.”
As they walk into the kitchen, Lorraine glances up from the plate she's loading up with pasta for herself. “What's that about pie? Not until you eat dinner first. You know the rules.”
Kate grins up at Drake and rolls her eyes. “You heard the Lady, no dessert until you've finished dinner.”
Drake winks back at her as he grabs his plate. “Well then it's a good thing I'm hungry.”
Stepping in behind Kate in line at the counter, Drake purposely stands a little too close. Kate sucks in a breath as she feels her body react involuntarily to his breath on the back of her neck. She's glad her blouse has long sleeves to hide the goosebumps rising on her skin. Glancing over her shoulder at him, she throws a little shade to tease him.
“Back it up buddy, besides you still smell like goose.”
Drake takes a step back raising his eyebrows, trading her shade for snark. “Ouch. Fine next time I'll just let the honking goose ruin everyone's evening.”
Carol laughs, “No..no. Believe me I'm very grateful for your help with shutting him up.”
After scooping spaghetti and meatballs onto his plate, Drake grins as he sits down across the table from Kate. “See? My partner in Clem's rescue appreciates me, goose smell or not.”
Lorraine shakes her head, “Ok everyone let's all behave and enjoy our dinner.”
Kate quirks an eyebrow at Drake from across the table, he smirks back at her as she puts salad into her bowl. Let the games begin.
They all eat in silence for a few minutes and then Lorraine speaks up, “Oh Carol, didn't you bring wine home to go with dinner?”
When Carol gets up from the table to retrieve the two bottles of wine from the counter, Drake and Kate exchange a look across the table.
They've held onto their secret long enough. Kate drops a hint, “I suppose we do have something to celebrate. Drake isn't much of a wine drinker, but he's welcome to have a glass for me.”
Everyone turns to look at Lorraine when she drops her fork, “Katherine, since when do you not drink wi-…Oh my goodness, you're not serious?”
Kate nods, her eyes shining with happiness. “We are.”
Carol opens the bottle of white wine with a pop of the cork. “So you've already been to the Doctor?”
Lorraine holds out her wine glass for Carol to fill. Drake holds his out as well as he answers. “No, but we have an appointment scheduled for when we go back to Valtoria.”
“Valtoria? I thought your country was called Cordonia.” Lorraine says looking over to Drake.
“Oh it is. Valtoria is the name of our Duchy.” Kate answers for him.
Lorraine twirls spaghetti around her fork. “I still can't believe my little Kath- ..Kate is a Duchess. You've come a long way from the girl I knew, making mud pies in the backyard, all pigtails and missing her front teeth.”
Carol chuckles from the other end of the table, “And I can't believe Lorraine is going to be a grandmother.”
Lorraine frowns at Carol, “Oh hush you, not that I doubt that Kate's pregnant, but I choose to live in denial until I see baby pictures. I'm too young to be a grandmother.”
Drake spears a meatball with his fork, “That's what my Mom said wh- ..”
Lorraine interrupts him, “Hold on a minute. You told his Mother first?”
“I thought you were in denial Mom. No we haven't told her yet. His sister surprised her with a little boy of her own.” Kate chuckles.
Drake, who has his mouthful, nods in agreement. Pointing his fork at Kate.
“Ok well, as long as you told me about your baby first, that's all that matters.” Lorraine says, picking up her wine glass.
Carol turns the conversation off of babies for a moment, “So Kate, where did you first meet your dashing Duke?”
Glancing across the table at her husband, Kate wonders which part to answer first. The Duke part or the Drake part.
Drake answers for her, “Actually we met in New York city, at my best friend's bachelor party. We walked into Kate's bar, and after that all matter of chaos happened.”
Kate nearly chokes on her spaghetti. “If you mean me returning to Cordonia with you guys, well you can blame Maxwell for that.”
Drake picks up his wine glass, giving Kate a wink before bringing it to his lips. “Neither I nor Cordonia were ready for the likes of Kate.”
“I literally came in like a wrecking ball.” Kate laughs. “Breaking and stealing hearts as I went.”
Chasing the pasta around her plate, Lorraine nods. “I believe it. Kate's a firecracker when she wants to be.”
“As for the Duke part, I met him at the altar. He married a Duchess to gain his title.” Kate says.
Carol raises her eyebrows, “And how did you become a Duchess?”
“By turning down a King's proposal.” Drake answers, “He kind of gave her the Duchy as a consolation prize.”
“So you could have been Queen?” Lorraine asks incredulously.
Kate looks across the table at Drake, “I didn't want to be Queen, because I was in love with someone else.”
“Sucks to be him, but it was definitely a win win for me.” Drake says, looking up from his plate to give Kate a smoldering glance, his eyes dark.
Kate feels the heat rush to her cheeks and to her core simultaneously, ok now I'm ready for dessert. Sitting back in her chair, Kate pretends to stifle a yawn behind her napkin. “I'm so sorry. I guess I'm still on Cordonian time.”
Drake looks back down with a smirk lifting the corner of his mouth. Picking up his glass of wine he tips it back and finishes it. Laying his utensils across his plate, he looks over to Lorraine with a satisfied smile. “Thank-you for dinner it was quite delicious. I miss sitting down with family like this. Between our weeks in Texas with my Mom on her ranch and this night with your hospitality we've been spoiled during our time in the U.S.”
“You spent weeks in Texas? And you give me a day?” Lorraine asks, her tone harsh.
Kate tips her head back and closes her eyes, wishing she had a glass of wine of her own right about now. When was she going to stop questioning everything we’ve done as if we were hiding things from her. She's so darn hung up on everyone's business. No wonder I couldn't wait to get out on my own after Dad left.
Drake can't help but notice Kate's frustration with her Mom's defensive nature. He glances at Carol, who just rolls her eyes at him. Time to shut down this dinner and move on. Folding his arms across his chest he turns back toward Lorraine with a stern frown.
“Yes, we were in Texas for my sister's wedding. Between the bachelor and bachelorette parties, the cattle sale and the wedding planning it took longer than we expected. Things weren't exactly under our control. This time around Kate and I were chosen to attend an Environmental Summit in Seattle as diplomats representing our country, and it was only a three day trip. We chose to spend our last day with you because Kate wanted to catch you up on the significant changes in her life. We're sorry we couldn't invite you to our wedding, Lorraine. Our engagement only lasted a month and with assassins threatening us from all sides it wasn't exactly a stress free time. We were lucky to survive the whole thing, so get off your fucking high horse and give us a break.”
Lorraine goes pale, eyes wide in shock at being put in her place. Carol raises her eyebrows, sucking in a breath. She speaks up, attempting to cut the sudden tension in the room.
“Alrighty then, shall we have pie?”
After everyone gets up from the table, bringing their dishes to the counter, Lorraine gently pulls Kate aside into the hallway.
With her eyes cast low she whispers. “I'm sorry Katherine. Please forgive me.”
Pulling her Mom into a hug, Kate whispers back. “I forgive you. I'm sorry for excluding you from such a big chapter of my life. I won't do it again.”
“I'm going to be a grandmother. I really am proud of you, you know that right?” Lorraine whispers, her eyes wet with happy tears.
Stepping back, Kate wipes tears of her own, nodding. “I know.”
“Please tell Drake I'm sorry. Since your father left I…” her face falls, unable to finish her sentence, she looks down at the floor.
“It's ok Mom, I understand.” Kate reaches out and rubs her arms, giving her a smile of encouragement. “Now come on let's get some pie before Drake and Carol eat it all.”
Lorraine chuckles, wiping her eyes again. “Just give me a moment to compose myself, Ok? I’ll meet you in the kitchen in a few minutes.”
Kate pulls her Mom into another hug, and then lets her go. “Ok.”
Lorraine turns down the hall and disappears into the powder room, and Kate sucks in a deep breath and returns to the kitchen.
Drake looks up from helping Carol load the dishwasher when Kate comes back in the room. Kate walks over and steps into his arms. Drake mumbles into her hair by her ear. “I..I'm sorry. I didn't mean to break your Mom.”
Kate steps back, slapping him on the arm. “Ow! I said I was sorry.” Drake rubs at his arm. “Don't forget that Bertrand shot me during the bachelor party.”
Carol laughs as she closes the dishwasher. “Oh my goodness you two are something else.”
Kate slips her arms around Drake's waist, he wraps his arms around her again and kisses her on top of the head. Kate chuckles as she closes her eyes and rests her cheek against his shoulder. “Oh you have no idea.”
Lorraine quietly steps into the kitchen, she clears her throat to get everyone's attention. “Um, it's getting late. So why don't we change for bed and then we'll take pie into the living room and relax a little before we retire for the night.”
Kate and Drake exchange a glance. “We don't have a change of clothes, our luggage is back in Seattle.” Kate replies.
“I’m sure we can find some sort of sleepwear for you Kate, but for Drake probably not.” Lorraine says apologetically.
Drake shrugs, “I don't usually wear pyjamas anyway.”
“You'll want your clothes laundered for tomorrow though, because you know, Clem.” Kate says.
“If you'd like, we could do the same for your clothes too Kate if you’d like.” Carol offers.
Kate looks down at her clothes, her blouse was dry clean only, but her skirt and undergarments were certainly washable. “Ok, I'll get my clothes washed too.”
Lorraine claps her hands, “Oh splendid! Alright then. I'll let you two have the master bedroom for the night. Drake you know where the laundry room is, Kate come with me and we'll find you something comfy to lounge in.”
Drake's mouth drops open as Kate, Lorraine and Carol leave him alone and go get changed for bed.
