I have a headcanon on how these guys style themselves postgame and you WILL hear me out.

Kanaya, Roxy, and Jade are self explanatory. They know how they want to present themselves. They know how to go forward with that. They’ve got colour combos and layering and fashion choices suited to their particular style IN THE BAG. Loud, prominent, they know whats up.

Jake, Calliope, and Jane get nudged into giving a fuck about fashion by anyone named above, or rather their own desire to dress up…Jake moreso because as a celebrity he gives too much of a fuck about his image to be anything less. Callie of course is affectionate enough with jade and roxy that they teach her how to style and i think she would like lolita and more daintier feminine stuff than roxy, but she does tend to sometimes switch over to suits. Jane is pure butch energy she dresses like a guy but as a girl with fashion sense. Like strict lesbian style. I dont know how else to fucking put it she would dress like how a butch lesbian would.

Jane and Jake stylewise would be similiar to some retro callback summer movie where everyones on a roadtrip in a yellow van or something except jake is more prone to extravagancy because he gives more of a fuck. Also one of them is wearing dresses and its NOT Jane.

Dirk and Rose.. fashion disasters. Dirk doesnt know fashion weight for a while and tries too hard id even suspect that he would try and mimic daves fashion style for a while until john or someone else blatantly calls him out in an offhand comment and jake and the rest of his friends start getting on his fucking case about being so bland with his fashion takes (all primaries, little to no patterns, basic, no layering.) that he caves and starts taking it like a personal challenge to style well.

At some point he has a revelation and realises he can get piercings and starts leaning into that and punk / gothish fashion. Black with complimentary colours recommended by friends.

Rose is sort of a fashion trainwreck like for all of kanayas nudging she doesnt really give a fuck and kanaya starts dictating her outfits and then of course she also gets the "someone makes an offhand comment that makes them mald really hard about it and go into a snooty onesided competition to prove they GET IT actually and that you were TOTALLY wrong about them not GETTING IT." Its the only way Dirk and Rose start caring.

Terezi and John get nudged around by their respective compadres about fashion sense and style, but they generally dont give a damn and have their own thing going for them. Theyve got their own vibe and style that feels well on them and especially terezi wise i think she would lean into the fashion disaster for fun. As long as the colours taste well together, who gives a damn about layering etc etc. throw in some crocs with a suit. An oversized shirt with a tapered skirt. Who cares. John is more tried and true but he styles out ENOUGH so he doesnt end up in the last (deorgatory) category.

Dave and Karkat are the real stubborn contendors of the friendgroup fashionwise. Baggy on baggy outfitwear. WILL get on your case if you point out had it not been for their respective colour choices they basically dress the exact same. Same mix of cargo pants, sweatpants, tracksuit pants, hoodies, and tshirts to keep them going for the lifetime. There js nothing else. Whats layering. Accessories? Well except for a watch hard pass. Patterned clothing? No way. Basic colours ONLY. Maybe Dave would dig long shorts ive always seen him as a longshorts kind of guy but its never anything noteworthy. Type of guys to choose what theyre wearing with their eyes closed thats how basic their closet is.

@katakaluptastrophy this is old but you absolutely do not have to ask me twice oh my god. This is where I reveal exactly how much of a history dork I am so be warned. I have also indicated Vibes in case that is helpful to anybody

So the common denominator among the Houses (as well as among societies as a whole, I spent like half a unit in my sociology class on this last year) is that there’s always a small upper class/nobility/etc and the population gets larger as you go down the ladder. That manifests in different ways within the different Houses, but it’s the same principle: The rich are few, and the poor are many.

That being said…

SECOND: The military leaders of the Nine, the Second are the ones who do the actual conquering of planets. However, Corona’s comment about how “as a Second, [Judith] should be willing to sell her birthright for economics” suggests they might not be getting their share of the profits. A huge portion of the Second lives in poverty, especially the capital city of Trentham, and pretty much the only way to escape it is to join the Cohort. The wealthy and powerful (generals, admirals and war heroes) vehemently deny there ever being a problem. For vibes, think New York City or Chicago but A Little Worse.

THIRD: The economic center of the Nine, the Third is a trade powerhouse and a hub for merchants and artisans. But they also export something a little less palatable: Propaganda for the Empire. The capital, Ida, is an enormous massive palace very similar to Versailles, where the best of the best workers (and the friends of the royal family) are privileged to live. Unlike the Second, where hard work actually can bring you up in the world, success in Ida comes out of bribes, flattery and sex. For vibes, think Paris but even less subtle, and crazy on the amethysts.

FOURTH: Supposedly a backup to the Second. In actuality, the lack of any real leadership has left the small and vulnerable population (veterans, the sick and disabled) to the mercy of the Fourth’s criminal underbelly. The capital city of Tisis is functionally a ghost town, mostly full of impotent, sheltered nobles and extensions of the mafia collecting bribes, and the other cities aren’t much better. For vibes, think Piltover (I don’t play league of legends but I LOVE Arcane), but the upper city is way more depressing and abandoned and the whole thing has kind of an ancient Roman feel as well.

FIFTH: The administration of the Nine, the Fifth works closely with the Emperor himself to keep the internal workings of His Empire running smoothly. Koniortos Court is a complex and many-armed bureaucracy, managed by its Lords or Ladies (and Seneschals, who do most of the actual diplomacy) like clockwork. It lies nestled in the capital of Rhax, where the majority of the Fifth’s population lives and works. There are frequent rebellions, but they’re snuffed out with alarming ease. For vibes, think combination of Victorian London and the city from Ulysses Dies At Dawn.

SIXTH: Less of its own independent state and more of the Emperor’s House of Wisdom, the Sixth House is the center of learning in the Nine Houses. Almost all the Houses send the best of their best to study there, so there’s a lot of people, but its native population is incredibly small- the size of a single city on the Third. Most of the Sixth is a single huge, labyrinthine library, surrounded by dormitories and a few spaceship ports for trade with the Seventh. Rank is decided not by birth, but by ability and age (in theory, anyway; in practice, they’ve strayed a bit from Cassiopeia’s vision). It’s still very communal, and everyone considers each other family on some level. For vibes, think a walled city combined with a super old university.

SEVENTH: The Seventh is responsible for most of the beautiful things made in the Empire. They export and import a lot of art, from pottery to poetry, and are considered superior craftsmen to the Third (which is why Ianthe thinks so poorly of their cloud formation poems). Outside this, they’re largely self-sufficient and very insular, doing their own farming making regular contact with only the Sixth. The lower classes are mostly farmers, while the aristocracy is just a few families, which is how Heptanary cancer happened. For vibes, think the romanticized version of the antebellum South from old books that like to gloss over the slavery thing, but a little bit sickly and weird-looking.

EIGHTH: The religious center of the Nine, the Eighth is in control of the worship of the Emperor and his Saints, as well as the Nine’s religious traditions. They’re also responsible for a chunk of Imperial propaganda- less than the Third, though, and directed less to the shepherd worlds and more within the Nine Houses. They live similarly to the Ninth House, with religious decadence, everyday asceticism and very little social mobility. The population of the Eighth House is actually very diverse, full of pilgrims from all over the Empire. For vibes, think medieval Italy but it’s all minimalist white and it ruins the whole thing.

NINTH: We know about the Ninth. We got like ten chapters about the Ninth. For vibes, think the Ninth.

I want to write a Marco/Ace/Sabo fic but idk how to write it exactly, do you have some tips for writing this trio? How do they interact or if they're ok with this? I think Marco is pretty chill with everything but Sabo is possessive and simp (this boy is insane) and Ace is ... Or he doesn't get it at first (like why two pretty boys would be in love with me? You have two men of the same age, Sabo and Ace, who have that lovely pre-established relationship of being childhood friends, who lost each other due to tragic circumstances and for Ace, never had any real closure really because in his eyes there was no body to bury, thats fucking intense for a kid his age poor thing

And then you have one out of the trio whos double that age, and potentially depending on how you view, interpret or headcanon the Phoenix — Marco could easily be triple his human physical age, or even immortal which is extremely interesting and spicy to play with

I wouldnt say Marco is all chill, i think thats a baseline observation, he cares alot like alot alot, think about his age and the status and the position as Whitebeards right hand, he has to be alot of things a mentor, a caretaker, a doctor and a commander, but hes also a shoulder to lean on and someone with alot of compassion, he approached Ace when Ace was committed to assassinating his father figure — he didn’t have to extend a hand to him, Ace effectively was his enemy at that point in time, its a key interaction between them imo and speaks volumes of Marco’s foresight and wisdom, he knows people like Ace, wayward misguided angry, hes the one that shoves a foot in the door Ace thinks he should be closing, gives him a family, its fucking lovely

Sabos definitely unhinged, his brain flickers between luffy Ace and the revolution he tirelessly fights for, hes righteous, well intentioned, violent with a streak of cruelty that shine theough whenever hes in the midst of battle, he doesnt do anything in halves, he finishes what he starts — referring to his role at the Reverie at Marie Jeoise — referring to his unrelenting confidence in Dressrosa when he fought in the coliseum and obtained the mera mera, Sabo remembers and retains and certainly never forgives, hes borne of vengeance and flames but when he loves he loves with all his fucking heart its really raw and fullbodied, he is loyalty personified tbh all three of them are

And Ace… my beloved id have to keep him for a separate post because the amount of infodumping and analysis i have for him is actually disgusting haha, i think hes afraid to love. His childhood was fucking rough, Ace learnt to love because of Luffy i fucking believe this wholeheartedly

WHY IS HE LIKE THIS. taihii the most insane ship dynamic ever. POPPY MY BELOVED <33333 the character songs are So Good. i like real game and the taddle legacy theme a normal amount. 3. kamen rider ghost (big part of this is takeru which ill get to later. but goood theres so much good in this show. warera omou yue ni warera ari!!!! its literally so fun. and the messages are so good!!! life is beautiful and i never want to die. makoala and takekari marriages happened and nothing else is canon. THE BELT NOISE THE BELT NOISES. mugen ghost is my fav final form ever. that one henshin scene from the summer movie kills me. keep going go go go go go go gotta ghost!!!!!)

4. everything else ive watched so ooo and revice (ooo: i need to rewatch this one actually bc it made me feel so much but then i watched w next so yeah. HIS BACKSTORY MAKES ME SO SAD. LIKE I CAN EMPATHISE. SO MUCH. and his dynamic with phillip akiko ryu i :'))) the found family ever. yeah. i often rewatch w ep49 just for the joker scenes. i have his birthday as per my headcanon in my calendar. i am not normal)

2. taiga/kamen rider snipe (so. hes my type of character so fucking much. broken sad lonely fucker of a guy. i want to kill i also want to hug him and i want to make him kiss hiiro. saving people to save yourself,,,,, yeah. NICO TAIGA THE SIBLINGS EVER. babang bang bang babang bang shooting uh. his fucking emo fringe neon suit. the dog tags he wears for no reason. THE SNIPE PREQUELLLLL im gonna stop here before it derails but oh my fucking lord)

3. takeru/kamen rider ghost (YEAH SO. tied for my fav main rider with eiji. takeru is incredibly important to me if he werent the same age as my brother id call him son but alas. i want a hug from him i think it would fix me. his fucking journey as a character..... he makes me sad but like happy sad. like i appreciate life more when im sad about him. his scenes in the pacman movie literally kill me. you always gotta keep going chasing after life its the only way you can live. go go go ghost [i start crying uncontrollably])

4. daiji/kamen rider live (bonded with this guy 6 episodes into revice its insane. this character is insane. i need to hug him. his fucking character song is therapy for me. KAGERO YOU FUCKING EMO EBOY. daijis vcinema is so good and i felt so much. i love the evililtylive suit despite the stupid name. i just love daiji in general and i dont ever think about how his actor is the same age as me <3)

so, i know this is like immediately expanding your question to the grandest scale possible, but those whove followed me for a while know i have a more nuanced relationship with the concept of "what is true about the story" that mostly boils down to the writing process. think of the story like a train, and the facts of what is true about its setting and characters as the tracks its going over. by the end of the story, there are going to be a lot of tracks i didnt have the train go over, simply because thats not where i needed the train to go. and because those tracks arent on the rails, i dont consider them to be pertinent enough to the train to be "real." this means that if the story doesnt get around to establishing some fact, that fact may as well not be true, or be left ambiguous, because i, as an author, care a lot less about holding absolute authority over the concept of "what is true in this story" when the story should make that clear on its own. this is why a lot of the asks on this blog are tagged "writer headcanon zone"; because im making headcanons about my own story by imagining other tracks that the train wont go over, but also recognizing that these tracks are just as real as any other imaginary tracks that my audience could think of. on principle, i dont do word of god. i respect writers that do, but i dont, mostly because of my history as a playwright which ive summarized before and wont get into again unless someone asks

and, because of the subject matter of the story, one of the things i dont really get into all that much is the sexual/romantic orientations of the characters. mostly cuz it just doesnt come up! ive found a lot of places to include stuff like that, there are a good amount of couples in the story (i can count 4 in my head right now, of varying narrative relevance) and even more instances of characters expressing attraction towards others, but i definitely dont cover the whole cast, not by a long shot.

so for the majority of the cast, their sexual/romantic orientation just doesnt matter that much to me, and i wish i could give you a proper answer to this, because as youve seen by now, i DO care a lot about representation, but for now, the best answer i can give you is:

dont know! what do you think?

because as the reader, you have the power to fill those textual gaps via your own interpretation, and thats the magic of storytelling!

actually, now that i think about it, i guess if anyone sent in a question about the characters orientations for the Q&A, id kind of have to establish something as canon for the current cast. and i DO have some thoughts, even if they havent made their way into the scripts

I still remember when people freaked out when she was bitchy in a story because they thought it was ooc. like im sorry she's always been bitchy that's why we're best friends. you just ignored her real personality and made up something in your head. im so tired. won't say the fandom, don't want to be butchered alive, but honestly if you know then you can probably tell by this point exactly the characters I'm talking about, the situation, and probably who I am (not my blog, my kintype)

🐺🤎 Concept for my leather mask based on my main WQ wolf, Iberio! 🤎🐺

1️⃣ ID: The first image has a photo of the original mask unedited on the left, and the same photo but heavily edited on the right. A large, pale yellow, semi-transparent watermark reading "@guiltydealist" rests across the top of the right mask's head.

The left shows a cosplay-style leather wolf mask. It covers the whole face except for eyeholes, though it lies on periwinkle bedsheets in the photo. Its white paint job is rough around the edges. The muzzle is semi-3D and has a black snoot with white paint smears on it.

The edited version on the right resembles an Iberian wolf's face-- rich tones of brown with crisp contrast from one another in a symmetrical pattern. A dark red-brown color surrounds the muzzle, fills the inner ears, and frames the eyes. The muzzle is tan with a dark red-brown stripe down the middle, which stops at the nose. The nose has been edited to remove the white smears and is dark gray. Beneath it, the muzzle stripe extends down to the chin but in a darker, nearly black hue. The forehead, ears, and upper 3rd of the cheek fur are also nearly black. Large, tan "eyebrow" markings rest atop the eyeholes.

Black, see-through mesh like that of a screen door occupies the eyeholes as if taped to the inside of the mask, and ambiguously turquoise/aqua circles lie in the center to resemble irises or pupils. End ID for image #1

Like with my Ammy concepts, I included a version edited with real eyes (based on how it looks on me IRL) to sample how the edit would look on me IRL 👁

2️⃣ ID: The second image is identical to the first except that both masks are edited to have real human eyes -- brown with white skin around them -- behind the eyeholes. They are harder to see in the rightside edit due to the mesh. End ID for image #2

Again, the leather base was made by OkamiKitsuneStore on Etsy!

Here's Iberio-- I headcanon them as an Iberian wolf. While I haven't yet developed my own design for them, they'll have the signature leg marks for sure.

3️⃣ ID: The third image is an in-game screenshot from the game WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition, which takes place in Yellowstone. The graphics are on the lowest settings, but the spring scenery is vibrant with green grass, a blue sky free of clouds, and numerous pine trees. A dark brown wolf sits in the center foreground at a 3/4ths angle, head turned to stare into the camera. Its full body is shown, dark red-brown and nearly black with a tan underbelly and legs. The wolf closely resembles the one in my edit from the first 2 images. It has asymmetrical bent ears and a very short tail. The eyes are pale green-blue, lighter and greener than those of my mask edit and similar to the hue of the grass, but the color is still somewhat ambiguous. The wolf has adult proportions but is small. End ID for image #3

🎨 To bring this to fruition, I'd have to paint the mask, add mesh behind the eyes, color (?) onto the mesh, and maybe coat the paint with a finish!

I caught up on @fellshish’s amazing substack fic Dean Daily (now on ao3!) since it finally ended (I’m only crying a little, I swear!) The Jun 28th entry wormed its way into my brain (they got matching tattoos! and Cas was healing them!!!) and I just had to do fanart! 

I might write a little ficlet, but the headcanon for this image is that they’re watching a gay movie together (y’know, so Dean can see if Cas made his confession in a gay way or if he’s just uhhhhh a real good friend), and Dean can’t tell if the glow of grace is from the TV or from Cas <3 Obviously he’s going to be completely normal about it :)

heyyyloooo! this is going to be sort of a long ask because i wanted to ask you or talk to you (?) about 2 different things hehe and i thought id just put it in one ask for ease i guess,,,

the first thing is you dont have to apologise for not making art! art is a hardd thing and everyone has their own way about it. i enjoy the things youve already made very much and overall just enjoy your presence on da blog!! i dunno about other people but i will follow someone for their opinions and whatever content they decide to share, not just specifically their art for example. yeah. :D. BUT when you do maek art, it’s always so lovely and comforting and soft, no matter what you draw. so pls dont worry about it!

the other thing is!!! i saw you mention gersu in the tags of a recent ask and im so happy you even mentioned it because they arebsuch a rare pair. i think they’d be nice together because they’d understand each other sssuupppperrr well but still have some slight differences that compliment each other (many more reasons but i dont want to bother you with dem). theres not much content of them though (bloodcurling scream and scratches walls). what do you think about them? i’d love to hear ur opinion bcos your takes are always…so understanding and real ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

First of all, i think its very nice of you to say that…! my response for your first part of the ask was actually way longer because i went into kind of a very long vent/rant? and got a embarassed! but basically i really appreciate your words! it partially took me a longer time to answer this because kept reading over and over what you say. (❁´◡`❁)

Now at your second point, i think gersu is nice! ive gotten a few anons mentioning them in the past (i think …?), and have passing knowledge about it cause i like sweden and im just Aware Of Most Of The Ships With Him. I personally, dont like, actively ship it? I like to think more about them as Germany having more of older person To look Up To, rather than romantic. I do think its cute! i enjoy reading headcanons & fanfics about them! i dont know if can really go very deep into what their relationship is? mostly because i donnt think i have a very good hold of what germany's character is, id love to read your thoughts about them! it wouldnt bother me at all, it would probably make my day actually, haha

spider-man movies -> video edits on insta/tiktok -> irondad fanfics on wattpad -> ao3 -> looking at starker in disgust -> becoming a part of the fandom

since homecoming! when it first came out but it took me a while to start interacting with the fandom

sorta! i don't actively write, just kinda drabble sometimes and i mostly dont post that, plus helping others write, i do have drafts that have been in my docs for years though

i do but i feel bad for him! poor guy has nobody :((, but before endgame i was in love with canon.

•his spider abilities on top of the originals like purring, cant have peppermint, hibernates, etc

•his love of animals, always stopping on patrols to say hi to them or trying to keep the strays he finss
