Persona 4 has been kind of a flip for me so far. Like the characters outside the main story/S.L. are pretty amazing, but once you plop them back into the plot I just keep rolling my eyes at them

why don’t you want to post hmh anymore?
it's not that i don't want to! i don't know how to say this without sounding like a bitch or something but i work really freaking hard on hmh and always have. i put a lot of time into it then i post the chapter and get like...maybe 3 notes on it. i don't get any sort of nice comments anymore, maybe once in a while, i'll get one. i post and literally a week or so later someone is just asking for an update, and it's not that i don't appreciate that but sometimes i can't wait to post a chapter because i'm excited about what's happening in it and no one even mentions it, they just ask for another chapter. i am so beyond grateful that people have stuck around for so long and still reach out and want to read more about this little world i created but sometimes a little mention about the chapter goes a long way. idk i'm probably being too sensitive or something but i see other writers get tons of love on a chapter while i just have nothing and i get in my head about the content i'm writing and if it's even worth it anymore

da:tv gameplay reveal thoughts (SPOILERS BELOW)
so. combat is basically ME, voice acting was pretty good though I'm iffy on Neve (personal preference but she sounded a bit stilted) and there were a few lines that were giving a little "what's a paladin" but it could have been worse. i still don't like the figure proportions, it looks too ValorApexWatchy, but it's not as bad without the exaggerated animation and camera work of the initial trailer. I also wish they'd showed combat when you have more than one ability. the PC was a rogue and you have a bow with recharging-over-time quiver plus dual wielded sword/dagger that you can switch between. looks like you can either hotbutton your abilities or select them from the pause wheel along with companion stuff. 3 potions, but there are breakable vases that drop them. overall more action-adventure than i really wanted but not unplayable. environment and setpieces look great. convo wheel is the same as DA:I, with stoic, comedic, etc choices, but seems like fewer options per choice. that could be contextual though. facial animations are quite good. the character design is really what's bugging me out of anything. it just seems wildly inconsistent in how cartoonish it looks. varric looks amazing (except for the dark hair which is weird), but solas looks spot on in some scenes and super stylized in others. idk. it looks not as good as i hoped but not as bad as i feared. i'll still play it. it just feels like a lot of the design and mechanical choices are derivative. the dialogue was also a little terse? but it was a big dramatic scene where the characters are rushing around so that could be why, but it just sounded... idk, perfunctory? varric still has his little quips but aside from that the dialogue was just a little... artless. but yeah, it wasn't nearly as bad as the character reveal trailer made it seem.

Additionally before I go to sleep, this GOD awful doodle I made earlier to amuse myself which happens to be of how Helios got Apollo from Zues (the cows were not the only time Helios threatened to turn that Chariot around and to the underworld djdjf)

carefully attempted to draw (still sick);
wanted to give Shargon another redesign, this is an older version of him but the basics should also go for his younger self
(idk yet about his lung replacement design; arms are posed weird to make anatomy clearer)
(wip, oc art, Shargon, he/they)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Midst is a perfectly-paced show. I know the story arcs are largely outlined, but it is actually astounding how flawless the pacing is given the improv aspect. It's clearly created by people who understand on an intrinsic level when and how plot points need to land in order for it to flow smoothly. Absolute chef's kiss, infinity/10, perfect pacing, no notes because I am in fact taking notes.

i know i keep saying it in like a hopeful half-memeing way, that we could have pete & ted on stage together if nick played pete and joey played ted, but like. for real just imagine it for a moment. imagine the height difference. imagine how adorable. like
ignore joe & darren in this picture for a second. that is ted and his baby brother. think about it. think about the visual storytelling of these people playing brothers with such a big age gap between them. i just think it would be lovely
