Spent this afternoon binging Helluva Boss, and now I'm hooked lmao, so I'll take the brain worms and point out the difference between Blitz' and Stolas's pictures of each other

One of these was taken in the day, when Blitz feels the need to hide his emotions and push people away to keep himself from getting hurt. The other was in the night, when nobody was awake to hurt him. When he could be the loving and caring person he really is.

And I think the part that hurts the most is this isn't a buried piece of Blitz. He has moments like that rather often with everyone besides Stolas, even though he clearly cherishes Stolas above almost everyone else (the picture above, better shown by Stolas's appearance in the Truth Seekers dream sequence). What's buried is the fear of getting hurt. It's shoved so deep down that the only time it's spelled out is when Blitz is tripping balls in Truth Seekers. Even then, he tells the display of his fear to shut up.

Blitz is purposefully hurting Stolas so he'll just leave their relationship at the mutual exchange. And it's working.

only reason they even get medical attention at elrich is so they don't suddenly have any complications that render them useless too early and also they need miles alive bc he's the host of the walrider (and exactly what murkoff wanted when they funded the project) AND besides they're all equal leverage bc they're family

waylon, through a few extra hands of other people trying to stop murkoff, discovers where these three are and w/ a friend of miles + the langermann's & lisa, they go to elrich to fuck up the security footage and save them

Idk, in a world where they were meticulously created to hate each other, raised with opposite modalities, given real reasons of resentment and loathing towards each other etc., for them to love each other has the beauty of miracles in it. Like, isn't it beautiful? To be able to say “wow, love is real” even if it's just within a little fic where they get to kiss. They make me happy!!!

Also c'mon them being in love adds so many layers to both Atsushi and Akutagawa's personalities and honestly makes the characters so much more interesting. The fight against Fukuchi is much more beautiful when you interpret them as sskk being in love. It's literally the post that goes:

I wasn't kidding about the sskk / Hadestown parallels although honestly,, Hadestown is a masterpiece bsd has nothing to do with; it's literally about rereading chapter 84 and thinking look at them there! They're there standing, breathing, alive. Ready to fight for their lives and ideals. Bust most importantly, they're together. They're together, and that makes them stronger than they could ever be. Because their bond, their love, is the strongest force, and it's able to defeat anything! And you've read those chapters a few times already, you know how it ends, but you see them stand together and you're really like. Maybe they'll do it this time! Maybe this time they'll defeat their own story. And they don't in the end, and everything plays out as for the script, but love was still there!!! I knowww it's not how the story is meant to be interpreted, but c'mon, doesn't it make way more beautiful? I wouldn't want to read it any other way. They make me happy :)

2. When was the last time you cried? i'm not sure actually, but definitely within the last 24h. i cry very easily

Do you have kids? noooo. i'd say i'm too young but actually i'm not all that far off from how old my mum was jeez... i don't exactly plan on following her lead in that though, she was quite young and atm i don't ever plan on having kids. i don't think i'd be a very good parent and i don't think i'll ever be ready to make a commitment that big.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? i do sometimes but i'm not a very dry type of sarcastic, i usually over-exaggerate to extremes

5. What sports do you play/have you played? i played netball as a kid but i'm not very sporty... i also played a bit of volleyball in hs

Firstly it's gotta be Wilmon-centric, then I look at the word count, and compare that to how much time I have lol, then I read the summary and idk? IsagiRin as a ship just doesn't work for me. Odk why just. Sorry I can NOT see your vision bestie. Half of the Blue Lock ships don't work for me especially when centered around Isagi because that boy switches side characters like they're pairs of shoes. In Blue Lock one or two sus or even sweet moments doesn't really amount to much to me because everyone has them here. That doesn't automatically mean date on a riverside resturant. On the other hand I totally could see Bachira x Isagi but I just think of them as really close friends because that's what gives me the most comfort being as some of the people who really saved my life were friends. I think it would be better if Bachira had a friend first and focused on himself before getting into any big relationship. Idk I guess that's more of a personal preferance

SPEAKING OF, I hate people who write Blue Lock smut w a burning passion. I'm not even gonna hit the whole iTS IMMorAL train it just usually sucks all the fun and personality out of the chosen character and is just trying to be as gross ans shocking as possible and twist them into somehow being pervs just bc they get all hyperactive when they play soccer. Like GET THERAPY. Half the time I go to the bllk tag im just scrolling like HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT.

The anime gets a lot of slack but like... It's very difficult to transfer things from one medium to the other especially things as philisophical as Blue Lock

Fandom interpretations of Shidou are usually weirdly ooc because they wittle him down to like how cray cray he is or whatever and completely ignore for example, his respect for people who are also creative and out of the box or his ability to deal with lonliness and being othered by everyone

Characters that shouldn't be hated nearly as much as they are: NOA NOEL. You heard it here folks. Hiori's is an absolute tear jerker but he is still in Blue Lock. He still has some time to grow. Naruhaya? There's nothing that could be done to fix his position or bring him up or cut him from the weights dragging him down. We see so many characters in the Blue Lock universe rise from their poverty through soccer but DAMN IT NARUHAYA EXISTED TO SHOW THAT THAT IS A LUCKY AND FEW 2 PERCENT. HE PROBABLY HAD TO GIVE UP ON EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS DREAMS JUST TO SUPPORT THE VERY FAMILY HE LOVES SO MUCH. HIS PARENTS LITERALLY DIED. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? BACHIRA STILL HAS HIS MOM, RIN AT LEAST HAS HOPES OF RECONCILING WITH HIS BROTHER AND HIORI MIGHT ONE DAY SAFELY CUT HIS PARENTS OFF BUT HIS ARE IMPLIED TO BE GOOD PEOPLE JUST..STRAIGHT UP DEAD.
