And they're both doing crazy shit to get prowl pregnant. Ie, prowl pokes holes in the condoms and then tarantulas refuses to pull out when it breaks. Prowl starts drinking additives that are supposed to help with fertility, tarantulas uses science to track when prowls spark is more fertile. Crazy shit that they do not communicate to each other at ALL.

And then Prowl does finally get pregnant with springer. And now they've got this whole weird domestic partner ship going on bc tarantulas needs to provide transfluid for the bitty obviously so prowl has to stick around more often. Just for springers sake. Not because prowl cares or anything. Baka.

I’m actually surprised I never see this scenario in fics but imagine, civilian reader get caught at the wrong place at the wrong time with 141 and enemy crossfire. 141 being super soft, especially ghost 🫣

Or! Civilian reader gets captured by the 141 thinking that she is with the enemy and interrogates her (being all big bad and scary cause they are used to hard exterior military women) only to realize she’s just a normie that got caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and is so so scared:((( . 141 getting all soft and cooing with terrified reader :(((( again especially ghost and soap 😳

this is definitely smth i've seen before!!! i cannot for the life of me find it, but ik there's a ghost/reader (maybe ghoap/reader?) fic on ao3 where ghost thinks the reader is working with some Big Bad to bc she picked up the wrong luggage and her new luggage happens to have a bomb. it was good!!! it had ghost being a fucking bitch when he was interrogating her, and then acting like everything was fine and dandy after lol

anyways!! i personally don't have much interest in this concept (mostly bc i'd want to read a bunch of other fics to make sure i'm not just rewriting what already exists and the concept doesn't interest me enough for that hehe) but it definitely is fun!!! there's a ton of room to do fucked up dubcon/noncon stuff with it. if anyone has any recs with this concept, drop them here pls!!!

There’s so much incredible Jason & Bruce fic out there and I’m more than happy to share some recs! I’m unfortunately not the best about remembering to keep track of fics I enjoy, so this is by no means a definitive/comprehensive list of my favorites, but I scrolled through my bookmarks and found a few fics that will hopefully satisfy your Jason & Bruce cravings :)

Stargazer by LemonadeGarden @lemonadegarden (47,656 words, Multi-chap, Complete)

Author’s Summary:

“Jason Todd is seriously injured during patrol one night, and is forced to stay at the manor to recuperate until his injuries are healed. To pass the time, he makes a list of things he never got to do before he died. Except there's one small problem: most of them involve Bruce, and Jason doesn't really think Bruce cares all that much about him anymore. This is a story about how wrong he is, but I made it sad anyway.”

Truly what can I even say about this fic. This is the story that made me fall in love with Jason Todd, and Bruce & Jason reconciliation fics, and Bruce & Jason destination/road trip fics, and basically everything I care most about in this fandom. I’d been a Superbat fan for a while before I started getting into the Batfam side of things, and around the time I read this I was only just starting to read stories about the Robins. This was the gateway fic. This was the one that caught me and made it stick. Formative, definitive, one of my all time faves.

Ohhhhh this fic. Bio-parent Bruce AUs don’t always do it for me, but the fics that get it right get it RIGHT, and this is one of them. Possibly my favorite Jason joins the batfam late fic ever. I’m obsessed with the Jason characterization in this one. Like actually obsessed. Like he is rotating in my brain like a rotisserie chicken at all times constantly 24/7 obsessed. Cannot recommend enough.

Growing Like A Breeze by whaleofatime @cetaceans-pls (6,114 words, Oneshot, Complete)

Author’s Summary:

“April 27th isn't anyone's favourite date, but it's somehow worse than usual today when Bruce gets his car stolen. It's nice of Red Hood to come to his rescue. Nicer even that Jason keeps him company afterwards.”

If you’ve read my fics I think it should be a given that any Jason & Bruce fic tagged “Inexplicable Road Trip” is absolutely going to do it for me. But god, Bruce’s psyche in this one. The man has twisted himself up in more tangles than the Gordian knot. Really fantastic exploration of Bruce & Jason’s relationship and trying to move forward past the destructiveness of grief and blame. I will be thinking about the bumper stickers on Bruce's Hyundai Elantra forever.

I am a simple woman. Give me a fic where Bruce interacts with Jason without really knowing the significance of who he's interacting with and I will go feral, every time. Absolutely brutal interaction between a well-meaning Bruce and a hurting Jason in this one. Don't want to spoil anything, but there's one line of dialogue in particular that just. Ugh. Fuck me all the way up.

Clearly Calm and Keeping Terrorized by Batbirdies @batbirdies (258,290 words, Multi-Chap, Complete)

Author's Summary:

"Jason made a deal with Bruce, no killing, and there would be no more conflict between them. At least on patrol. Jason reasoned it would be easier to accomplish his goals without constantly fighting Batman along the way. It didn’t change anything, not really. Not until he found an old gift he never knew about and Bruce asked him to dogsit Titus while he and Damian were out of town. Not until the Lazarus Pit started bothering him again. AKA: My take on a Jason rejoins the family fic."

I am once again reccing a Bruce & Jason reconciliation fic (are you perhaps noticing a trend?) This one will break your heart and put it back together again. It's part of a series but can stand alone (though I've read the two works that precede it and highly recommend them as well). 250k+ words about a father and son and the rest of their family trying to figure out how to heal. Genuinely there is so much love in this fic. And trauma! Can't forget the trauma. But also so much love.

Code of Silence by JHSC @jhscdood (9,376 words, Multi-Chap, Complete)

Author's Summary:

"Willis Todd doesn’t die in prison. That doesn’t change much, until it does."

This one is less Jason & Bruce-centric than the others on this list (though Bruce still features, especially in the other works in the series) but it absolutely fits the bill for Jason & his dad content so I'm reccing it anyway. This fic utterly transformed the way I view Willis Todd. Incredibly thoughtful, emotional exploration of trauma and recovery and trying to heal. The whole series is gold.

Good Intentions and the Highest Hopes by rotasha (16,863 words, Multi-Chap, Complete)

Author's Summary:

"Bruce offers each of his children the chance to go on vacation with him, and they get to choose the destination. Jason chooses the one place he thinks Bruce will enjoy the least, out of spite. That’s how the two of them end up going to Disney World."

Another one that perfectly checks all my favorite Bruce & Jason fic boxes. Reconciliation fic? Check. Set in highly specific non-Gotham destination? Check. Bruce not quite knowing how to connect to Jason but trying his best anyway and Jason finally deciding to let him? Check, check, check. Jason's kind of an asshole in this one; I adore him eternally. And I love Bruce so so much in this.

There are so many more I could add but I'm going to leave it at that for now! Hope some of these are new to you & that you enjoy them! And thanks again for reading my work :D

not enough danny phantom fics that acknowledge the ghost portal is In The Fucking Basement in the context of like. the Fenton parents fear+hate ghosts, right? If they had their way, I doubt they'd want ghosts going anywhere near them, their children, their friends, their home or the school or anything. But the portal is In The Basement. you know, the main place all the ghosts come and go from? which means that whether they know it or not, they must have ghosts in their very home like, all the fucking time. I want more fics where, pre identity reveal, the Fenton parents realise this and fucking panic

I think I've seen...one fic? Where Phantom references being in the Fenton house in passing and Jack (temporarily cooperating with Phantom) immediately goes "wait, /what/??? You've been in our house?!" and Phantom's like "......yeeeeah? That's. That's where the ghost portal is mate. Everyone's been in your house at some point." and Jack Fenton promptly has twenty existential crises at once as he belatedly panics about how ghosts could have attacked them while they slept or whatever

it's such a good concept okay I just want more of it, want people to do more of it. give me a million fics like this please

i have, unfortunately, moved on from my ff writing era of my life. i’ve seen all your messages of support and reactions to my writing and constantly see the reposts and recs made in my email inbox, and i cherish each and every one of them and do miss yall very often. i am currently now working and traveling full time, and am just past the era in which i used to absolutely love bts/kpop. i’m actually now an avid ao3 dramione reader 😂 and have devoted a lot of my time to getting physically/emotionally healthier, furthering my career, and just pouring love into myself and everyone around me 🤌🏻

i still do love/listen to bts, but i’ve also been feeling like i’ve outgrown them a bit and no longer actively read bts fics myself 🥹 but to sometimes come back to my own blog and my homepage to see that other writers are still here and dedicated makes me feel so giddy and happy for them. watching bts grow from their boy in luv era when i first became a fan to the degree they’re at now and even when i stopped actively writing (probably when they started breaking into the US/english lyrics, or covid era) was such a big life landmark for me, and i will always cherish them in my heart for that. i will also always cherish this blog, that kept me actively writing, throughout uni, and actively creating content anonymously, for helping me through some hard times emotionally, physically, and mentally.

i don’t think i’ll be updating any of my wips: any writer out there who feels inclined to continue the stories, i give you full permission (pls don’t plagiarize!) and would hope that you drop a quick msg in my inbox when you post so i can read them (better than tags!) 🥰 would also be happy to share where i intended a lot of my fics to go plot-wise. i also deem it would be a disservice to a lot of you for me to release unfinished drafts, but im happy to share that as well to anyone who wants to pick it up, or just are curious where the plots went (lmk if ur into that?)

The classic, Were I That Burning Star by @californiannostalgia. Seriously this fic is incredible and I think anyone who’s been in the fandom since like 2020 would cite this as a formative part of their fandom experience. The original Apollogist fic lol.

Speaking of older fics, A Convergence of Apollos by Keyseeker (@flightfoot) has always been a favorite of mine. I cannot believe this fic is almost 4 years old, but I remember following it religiously when new chapters were coming out. All the characters have incredible interactions, and Keyseeker’s writing is just amazing in general. This is definitely one to check out! (p.s. I know Keyseeker has a fic rec of her own, so if you want more after my list, check out hers!)

Anything by @tsarinatorment, but especially her newest fic, Eclipse. I know a lot of work has gone into this fic (At least from what i’ve read in the ToA discord lol) and it’s absolutely paying off I am obsessed. 

There are a couple of reading the books fanfics for ToA, but I have a soft spot for Secrets of the Sun by @sierice and @ukelele-boy. it hasn’t uploaded in a bit, but the fifteen chapters that are out are pure gold and I love them lots. 

Speaking of reading the books fanfics (or watching them, in this case) I cannot leave out the God’s Eye View series by Keyseeker (still @flightfoot lol). Like I said earlier, her writing is stellar, and she does so much interesting character work with the gods. If you wish Olympus was focused on more in the Riordanverse, these fics are for you. 

And another fanfic of this genre (Can you tell it’s a favorite of mine?) Hidden Oracle by Kaeyuh (I'm not sure if they have a tumblr sry!) is one I’ve recently been enjoying. The characters are super solid and I’m excited to see what directions it goes in, definitely a great fic to follow!

Both Cooler Than Me and The Tail of A Pollo by ceruleancats (@falconfrost) are so sweet and I love them, definitely check them out. 

OH ALSO. Apollo and the Aftermath!!!! Which is apparently also by ceruleancats and I didn’t realize!!! Trust me this one is so good. I swear Apollo’s pov sounds like it’s straight out of the books it’s written so well. 

(un)normal by m_arnie (@m-arnie-xx) was written for sunflower sibs september and it’s so good, literally so good pls read it. Honestly all the fics from sunflower sibs september were great, it’s a collection on ao3 (sunflower siblings september 2022) if you want to read them all 

Speaking of that, we've had two years of ToApril and both of them have had a lot of incredible fics, so if you want a lot of ToA content I'd go there. I believe both are also collections on Ao3. This year was under ToApril 2023, and predictably, the year before is ToApril 2022. Lots of fics to enjoy!!

@firealder2005 has recently made a series called The Works of Apollo and I am obsessed??? Definitely a great read, they're so so good.

-Oel ngati kameie series by Mocha_Lottie, a banger series truly. Really good Neytiri thoughts and cute sibling moments makes me cry.

-Found Family series by siren_songs, I need to know how this one is gonna end. They putting Spider through the ringer with this one. 

-Eywa Provides by Mocha_Lottie, this author needs to chill (but also pls don’t) they ruin me with each Spider fic. This one is a born Na’vi Spider one. 

-Spider Sully by AlexiHollis is another absolute banger series, truly the Neytiri one especially kills me. And bonus points on returning to the forest and giving me Mo’at.

I will have more of these as I am STALKING the A03 page multiple times a day for more like this. If anyone has any recs pls add. iN ADDITION, here is my A03 collection for these types of fics. Hi, I think I know a few like that!

A Standing Engagement by betts - This one is a really interesting premise featuring Capitol!Annie and some great odesta moments. It's overall really well written so I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

An Unusual Customer by insomniacscribbler - This is another Capitol!Annie fic with some great heartfelt moments and lots of dramatic irony. Definitely give this one a read if you're into outsider pov.

We Dare Be Brave by Wishing on Fireflies - Just a heads up that this one is on ff.net (and I don't think it's been crossposted to ao3) but it's still well written with an interesting premise. It features Finnick as a Capitol citizen and builds a pretty novel yet familiar dynamic between him and Annie, which I really like.

Beautiful Boy with the Trident by LaheyLydia - Another one from ff.net, this one has Capitol!Annie. It's a oneshot that shows the complications that arise from one of them being a Capitol citizen, and it's not afraid to show what that would actually mean.

Your ask also inspired me to write my own Capitol!Annie fic, Through the Looking Glass, so you might like that one also. There's definitely not a lot of fics with this trope so I wanted to try writing one.
