Magic reveal:

Arthur, Merlin, and the knights are stuck in a cave with only one way out:

They need enchanted blood to activate a magical circle. The instructions are written on the wall, so technically, each and every single one of them can and have to do it.

One by one, the knights are getting through and Merlin thinks nothing of it, as its his turn. Everyone has done it the same way, there is no way his magic could be revealed through this, right?

Except, once Merlin cut his hand and is about to enchant the blood, a drop already falls on the circle and it glows a whole different color before he even opened his mouth. Merlin turns to Arthur in question, only to find the man staring at him.

Arthur: Merlin... Your eyes

Merlin: *eyes widening.* Huh?

And then the cave opens fully, ending the spell that keeps visitors locked. Merlin's blood has broken the enchantment for good.

Because mordred is like “emrys is in Camelot” and Morgana’s face is pretty neutral. Like a little shocked. But the fucking reveal “and I have his name” her excitement “it is Merlin” her eyes. The way her eyes change. Widen.

The servant, Arthur’s servant whom she has known for like years. Is emrys

He is her destiny and her doom.

The funny little guy who cannot complete his chores and surely doesn’t understand what it’s like to have magic and be burdened with it. He could not possibly understand her suffering. He does not feel her pain so surely he cannot understand.

That’s emrys. The one who has been lowkey flirting with Arthur, Gwen, and even morgana herself is emrys.

i cant tell you how much i ADORE in merlin fics when all the knights are hanging out, and one of them decides to tell a story that theyd heard on one of their travels…

the story of the elusive emrys, warlock, god, most powerful being to walk the earth, said to be hiding at the heart of camelot itself

In honor of Merlin trending, I’ve just gone and finished a new fic. I love this fandom so much and this show has my whole heart. Stayed up writing later than I intended just to make sure it could be posted this evening.

Ok now someone write fanfiction about Merlin (from Merlin) being Arthur's Groom of the Stool, the most seemingly degrading, yet honorable and powerful position in court.

Also the codependency and homoeroticism of making your bro accompany you to the toilet is hilarious, but would also allow Merlin to be able to protect him so.

Also Arthur putting Merlin in being in charge of the King's bedroom and bathroom is probably because he got fed up with all his complaining about everything every time he sleeps over visits.

(Yes I'm also saying that maybe Arthur - accidentally - created the position by being not-married codependent on Merlin)

And when Arthur joins them, beeing finally three, the Triple Goddess instills her power in them (Freya is Air, Lancelot is Water and Arthur is Earth) and now Druids tell stories about God Emrys and his deep relationship with the three Spirits of the Lake

Based off of a post I had drafted on Tumblr but never actually published. Not used entirely verbatim in here but almost the same lines are there: Merlin gets frustrated one day and explodes into a rant about how Arthur treats him. Merlin: Do you even know who I am?! I am Emrys, Arthur! I am a God! Arthur: (scoffs and crosses arms) God of ineptitude maybe. Merlin: (glares then storms out leaving a trail of flames behind him)
