I saw a post mentioning this but I need to talk about it a little more--ONLY JAY KNOWS.
Like, the entirety of Skybound?? Fully on his shoulders. Nya doesn't know anything about what happened on that ship except what he's told her, and as far as everyone else is concerned, it didn't happen. Not only was he LITERALLY TORTURED with the canonical intent to either drop him dead or break him so badly he used that last wish, but he was manipulated and puppetted to believe that everything that was happening to him was karma, deserved, and all his fault to BEGIN WITH, when really, it would have probably gone down that way anyway because of what happened to Djinnjago
And he can't even TALK to anybody about it or apologize or get any kind of meaningful comfort at all, because only Nya knows, and she only knows half of it. Canonically, they told the other Ninja about it but they know even less than Nya does, my boy is FUCKED. UP.
LIKE.
DUDE.

nah cause trying to kill each other the entire night without alerting everyone else, especially the Harbingers............
almost being caught but the Tsaritsa covers for you and they just shrug and assume your one of them. but she only covers you bc you've piqued her interest, and if anyone is going to kill you it's going to be her.
still doesn't stop some nosy nobles from trying to knock you down a peg. it's kinda hard to miss the Tsaritsa, masquerade or not, and it's harder to miss the leech clinging to her arm the entire time.
their trying to get on her 'good' side but you keep bullying them and making the Tsaritsa laugh and it's not fair >:(
meanwhile your having the time of your life thoroughly ruining every stuck up noble that pops into view and getting away with it bc the Tsaritsa thinks it's funny watching them fume and not be able to do a damn thing, bc your obviously in good favor with her..while completely oblivious to the fact you've both tried to kill each other five times during the entire conversation.
but also maybe an agent gets a lil too suspicious so when you slip out to the balcony they take their chance. except the moment they put their hands on you, their tossed clear across the balcony and through the railing.
the Tsaritsa's expression has been mostly subdued the entire time but she looks pissed. like full on snarl with her big ol teef....yknow :)
which. okay like that was hot but did you just kill your own agent.........
meanwhile the Harbingers are just ????????? excuse me
she does not acknowledge it. just drags you back inside and doesn't let you leave her sight for 0.2 seconds. she also doesn't acknowledge that she feels disappointed when you disappear after the masquerade is over.
it'd be a shame if you showed up again afterwards... 👁👁
THIS GOT TOO LONG UM. anyway pretty tall evil women am i right :) - eros

Tsaritsa x reader

notes: FUCK this got long i really cannot help myself when it comes to the tsaritsa. i twisted the brainrot a lot idk how it happened don't ask
warnings: violence, blood, slight gore, not sagau, reader wants to murder the Tsaritsa and is not ashamed
The mask clung onto your skin, as well as your fake smile. You kept your steps steady and balanced, despite the weight on your thighs and in your shoes.
Tonight was the night the Tsaritsa would die.
You were silent, eerily so in the loud ballroom. The clacking of shoes and cacophony of voices making it impossible to hear the little noise you were making.
You grabbed a stranger's hand, held onto a random drink, twirled around with them for a moment and moved on. You were floating in the ballroom, every step firm and quiet, every breath even and soft.
It was little things, but they made all the difference when you were less than six feet away from her eminence. When even she didn't catch your form approaching. Her back was not exposed the whole night, but in their happy stupor the harbingers had lured her away from her illustrious throne.
You approached her back, your eyes cast aside somewhere else, your head turned to stare at one of the grand decoration. Your shoes - stuffy and filled with emergency explosives - caught onto the train of Her Majesty's dress and you fell right onto her, your glass dropping out of your hands and shattering on the floor.
She, in all her glory, didn't even stumble. Her veil covered her expression but you saw her head turn.
The noise that so effectively covered any noise was gone. The ballroom was deathly quiet.
As soon as your eyes made contact with her veil you started to wail. Tears leaking out of your eyes before anyone could even blink. You bowed lowly, sputtering apologies, and cradling your hand that was now sputtering out blood.
Your shoes slipped on the liquid on the floor pathetically, and you're not sure what possessed the Tsaritsa, but she grabbed you by your upper arms and helped you regain your bearrings.
The glare of the harbingers was so fucking satisfying but you kept up your frightened façade, your body shaking uncontrollably.
Remember why you're here. The memories resurfaced and it wasn't hard to pretend anymore. The tears from those nights resurfaced and you sobbed uncontrollably just like the kid you used to be.
Her hands on you felt dirty, even through her gloves. She didn't remove her hands from you, instead grabbing your injured hand. There wasn't an ounce of care in her touch, even through the gloves you could feel the biting cold of her fingers.
You sniffled as she walked away from you. And then your jaw dropped as looked back at you.
You stumbled to catch up, an embarrasingly pathetic display.
This was not part of any of your plans. You had hundreds, preparing for this day for years and daydreaming about it for even longer.
But in none of them had you ever entertained the thought of the Tsaritsa willingly leading you into a room alone.
None of the harbingers followed, even though they stared at you like the invader you are, they didn't do anything to stop the Tsaritsa.
Not to mention how frankly stupid this was. You knew your helpless display was supposed to have an effect similar to this, but the Tsaritsa isn't stupid. The bounty on her head is more money than anyone could even dream of, and the emotional satisfaction you'd get from her blood all over the ballroom floor was greater than monetary value. It was enough for you to willingly put your head on the line. She was accustomed to assassins and idiots like you, so why was she acting like this?
You bumped into her, a flurry of apologies spilling out of your mouth.
She held her hand up and you shut your mouth. She opened up the door in front of you two and motioned for you to enter.
You sucked in an apprehensive breath, There's no denying the Tsaritsa, and you stepped straight into your doom.
The room was small compared to the ballroom, but the ceiling was tall as well as the doorway to accommodate their queen. You didn't get much time to inspect it as said ruler ordered you to sit on a nearby seat. You did so with no complaints and the Tsaritsa kneeled in front of you. Your jaw dropped, eyes bulging out of your sockets as she grabbed your hand without warning.
It was still bleeding profusely, and with all the adrenaline from being in the Tsaritsa's presence you didn't even notice the glass shards still stuck in your skin.
The Tsaritsa used her teeth - correction: fangs - to tug off her glove. Her hand was large and slender, her nails nearly claws.
Your heart dropped to your stomach, thudding loudly throughout your system. A shiver crawled up your spine at the sight of her fangs, your hand that she was holding onto locked up. You unconsciously attempted to pull away but her grip increased causing a low whine to itch at the back of your throat.
She used her nails to get the glass out, and once she was done she ran her finger over your palm.
You yelped, "Cold!"
You swore you heard the breath of a laugh escape her, but she didn't acknowledge it and you chose not to as well.
Meanwhile the skin on your hand sealed up cleanly, leaving nothing but smeared blood on your palm.
That's when your sensed kicked back into gear. This is chess, and the key to winning was right in front of you.
You leaned down, faking a pained expression, "S-sorry this getup is really stuffy..." She didn't move, her hand remaining on your once injured one until it was fully healed.
When you felt her grip loosen you held on tighter, grabbing her wrist and pulling you towards her.
Your finger tugged on the trigger to activate the explosive but her gloved hand grabbed your arm and nearly tore it clean off.
You brought your leg up to kick her square in the jaw. She dodged with ease, her non-gloved hand grabbed the back of your neck and flung you across the room. Your back slammed against the wall and you let yourself go limp.
Her heels clacked against the floor, like a clock counting the seconds to your last breath. She stopped in front of you, you kept your head tilted forward, allowing a few more tears to fall from your eyes.
She kneeled down and tugged your hair back, forcing your enraged eyes to meet hers.
You plunged your knife into her neck, but she moved a bit out of the way. Still, blood poured out of her neck.
Golden blood.
She grinned her fingers coming up to feel the liquid, smearing it on her hand.
Her fangs flashed, they were deadly sharp.
KILL THE QUEEN!
You charged head first in again, your knife ready to plunge into her neck once more. She hit the floor with a thud, her body lax and not struggling, an almost dreamy smile on her lips, her veil had fallen above her head revealing her eyes...
Your entire body froze. Not in fear nor from the cold, no the adrenaline running through your veins was enough to drive the blade straight through her neck.
So why weren't you?
Your orbs, wide and wild, stared directly into her calm and piercing ones. They were a light blue... sort of. They were more like opal gemstones, reflecting every color in the cold ice that has frozen them over. There were so many colors deep within her orbs, you're sure you could study them for a century and still not have them memorized.
"I haven't seen my own blood in a long time, much less in a golden hue." The Tsaritsa was relaxed, even with the blade right above her throat, her eyes were hypnotizing.
She placed her pointer finger - ungloved - on the tip of the blade and pushed it away.
Your body didn't struggle, but you could feel your face twisting in anger and frustration. She sat up, slowly, leering down at you. She took the veil completely off and set it aside.
"You do know what's happening to you, right?" She grabbed the blade from your hands with no struggle.
You growled, "You..."
She grinned, for someone so expressionless during the party, the way her lips curled made your blood curdle.
She put her clawed pointer finger on your nose, "My eyes hold the power of love, and that is to make whoever looks at them to do whatever I please." Her smile was damning, burning itself into your brain as another reminder of this damn woman, "So, in short, you never stood a chance."
"You fucking-" Your tongue went numb, and if looks could kill you'd be walking away from the palace with enough money to buy another Zapolyarny palace.
"Such awful language, not even going to beg for mercy?" She pouted, but her eyes - despite the complexity - remained perfectly protected behind ice. Nothing slipped past her secure barricades.
You regained feeling in your tongue, "I'd rather die." You spat.
She hummed, "Well, too bad I find that utterly boring. Stand up." She commanded and your body obeyed without another thought. She stood up after you, her looking down at you was a million times worse with her veil off, "You wanted to kill me, I'll give you until the end of the night to succeed."
"Wait- I don't agree to th-!"
"You're in no place to be asking for things." She put her large hand on your head, forcing your head to tilt up to look at her eyes, "If you refuse to kill me all bets are off. I'll give you to my harbingers to handle, and trust me they're not as merciful as me." Her grin was hollow.
You glared, "Fuck you."
"There'll be no room for that out no the dancefloor. Now," She swiped a hand over her wound and all traces of what you'd done were gone. She grabbed your hand, "Let's go."
*~
You didn't have a choice in the matter. The Tsaritsa had fixed herself and you up, and led you back to the ballroom.
The stares you got were invigorating, all pairs of eyes on the imposing aura of the Tsaritsa and then traveling to you. They were confused as to why you were hanging off of her arm.
Honestly you didn't know yourself but you weren't passing up this opportunity to tear apart the Zapolyarny palace from the inside. Not like you could leave but might as well pretend you had some autonomy in this situation.
Though it didn't take long to be thoroughly sick of the night. You were already disoriented from your first assassination attempt, and once the nobles started approaching the Tsaritsa and talking to her you felt your insides turn.
"Your glory precedes you and your wonderful deeds are ones that have been spread throughout the land thanks to my help." They'd say shit like that, and it pissed you off.
At least the Tsaritsa wasn't pretending she wasn't a piece of shit, but these guys were making her seem like a saint. She. Isn't.
"Your eminence, I must commend you on your conquest of the other archons and rebellious individuals in Snezhnaya. Organizations like that will merely tear down all of your hard work."
"Yeah mass genocide is tiring." You said, melting further the Tsaritsa's side so if the noble made a move you could use her as a shield, "Rebellions are so awful too not like that's how Mondstadt liberated themselves from an oppressive ruler. Oh, but it's bad when it happens here."
"You-" Their eyes darted from you to the Tsaritsa back and forth over and over, "You dare sully the Tsaritsa's good name and Snezhnaya? In front of her and in the Zapolyarny palace no less?" He screamed, catching quite a few more eyes.
You suppose this is what going out with a bang meant.
You grinned, "Yes."
"Why you-!" He reached for you, red in the face from rage and the embarrassment.
It wasn't a second later his hand was cut clean off. The Tsaritsa remained mostly motionless, save for the blood on the hand that wasn't occupied with you.
A scream ripped from his throat, and yet the only reaction was one of the harbingers dragging him off.
"What the fuck..." You whispered.
"Are you alright? He didn't touch you right?" There was a mocking lilt in her voice.
You huffed, glaring up at her, "No."
Another attendant had given her cloth she could wash her hand with.
"Good." She pat your head once her hand was clean.
The lingering stench of blood didn't bother you.
Oddly enough there were still nobles willing to approach the Tsaritsa, even with you blabbering away at her side.
You already tried to assassinate her, she could kill you at any time with little more than a "they were annoying" to write off your death. You might as well cause a little ruckus while you were here. This might be your last night.
"Your holiness," An entrepreneur bowed, his expensive outfit making all sorts of noise as he moved, "Thanks to your help of eradicating those annoying vermin, our operations can go smoothly. The production of precious gemstone jewelry is booming, and we don't have to travel all the way to Liyue as much anymore."
It was a way to brag and advertise his business and his supposed "connection" to the Tsaritsa by loudly exclaiming all of this. You could already see the jealous gazes (that had also been fixed on you) sweeping over to this guy.
Your gaze darkened, "Eradicating vermin that were doing more good than you are right now?"
The guy jumped, clearly not expecting you to actually talk.
He glared, "What is that supposed to mean? Surely you're not defending those wastes of spaces?"
"And who are you to decide who's a waste of space or not?" You matched his glare, "If it were up to me everyone in here is stealing precious oxygen, but I'm not pretentious enough to actually think that."
He huffed, glancing up at the Tsaritsa, expecting her to shut your foul mouth. But instead there was an amused smile on her lips.
The man pursed his lips, clearly annoyed but not willing to step on the Tsaritsa's toes, "Then I hope you enjoy it in the Zapolyarny palace, where everyone thinks the same of you."
That's if I survive past tonight. You didn't say it aloud, and the man walked away in a fuss.
"You're quite amusing." The Tsaritsa chuckled, her baritone voice and quite tone making her hard to hear with the bustling crowd and music, "I haven't seen this much action at a party since Tartaglia was first announced a harbinger."
You hummed, not really caring.
The Tsaritsa muttered, "Everyone is expecting you to ask me to dance."
"What!" You exclaimed a bit too loudly, a few eyes flickering over to your masked face before turning away.
Her smile widened, "You've been the only one brave enough to talk so brazenly right in front of me, they're wondering if we're going to dance."
"..." You furrowed your brows, "Are you trying to get me to ask you to dance?"
She grinned, "I don't know, are you going to ask me?"
You glared up at her, and you couldn't see her eyes through her veil. You felt cursed to know what secret was under her veil.
You huffed, standing in front of her. With a damn near wicked grin, you bowed and held your hand out, "Would you like to dance with me?"
You gave her no honorifics, an evil smile, and a knife ready in your sleeve.
She took your hand, despite seeing all the red flags, and walked straight into the fire pit with you.
Although when you're the goddess of ice, you suppose fire can't hurt you much anyways.
The Tsaritsa realized all too quickly that you weren't the best at dancing. She giggled while offering you to step on her shoes.
You declined at first, for your pride... but you quickly realized that constantly tripping was a lot more embarrassing than stepping on her toes.
So, begrudgingly, you did so.
She led the dance gracefully, and everyone made room for the two of you.
It was the perfect crime scene. It'd be beautiful and bloody.
Your hand placed on her waist was perfect, the knife slipped from your sleeve and-
She grabbed your wrist in a death grip, but you didn't let go of the weapon.
She grinned and slid it back into your sleeve with her finger, "You're going to have to try harder than that."
You huffed, her claws had left tiny cuts on your wrist, just barely pouring out a few droplets of blood.
Tripping the Tsaritsa was also a fruitless endeavor. You had tried and only ended up almost falling yourself, though she had framed it as intentional as she had caught you.
You were sweating from all the dancing, as well as the multiple attempts of seeing more of her ichor. To see those eyes with no power behind them.
The Tsaritsa giggled at your face, letting go of your hand to touch your forehead. The flicker of coolness from her glove was a relief, though it wasn't much.
"Should we go to the balcony to cool you down?" She teased, the emotion in her tone made you sneer uncomfortably.
"...sure..." You muttered, keeping your eyes trained suspiciously on her.
She slowed to a stop, "Well you'll have to get off my feet first," She chuckled.
You blinked and stepped off, though she didn't release your hand. Instead she led you to the balcony, her dress billowing behind her elegantly.
You grit your teeth at how pristine she looked. You'd given your whole life away to see her dead, and here you were, right next to her. Both of you still breathing.
The door shut behind the both of you, leaving the two of you completely isolated. The cold air on the balcony was refreshing, less so with the Tsaritsa's large hand holding onto your own but it wasn't like you could just shake her off.
No, you came here to kill the queen. And you'd do it no matter what, even if it ended with you gone too. You'd be at peace.
But there was no peace in the blizzard, and you were a prisoner of the Snezhnayan snow.
The Tsaritsa stood behind you, the hairs on the back of your neck stood up as you turned to look at her. Before you could crane your neck up to look at her, she placed her bare hand on your forehead.
"You're cooling down."
You shivered, "That's because you're freezing."
She placed her other gloved hand on your neck, there wasn't any murderous intent behind it - more of a warning.
"It doesn't seem the cold bothers you much, if you were willing to come here and try to kill the Tsaritsa herself." Her fingers slightly increased their grip.
Your heart rate spiked uncomfortably, "It was out of necessity."
"It was necessary for you to kill me, hm?" You could hear the smile in her voice.
Your fists clenched. "Yes."
She hummed, amused, "I've heard that many times, sometimes when you're told something over and over again you start to believe it."
"So will you roll over and let me kill you?"
She tilted your head back, grinning down at you. Just barely you could see a twinkle of her eyes, "I'm afraid I'm not there yet. Though if you were to beg me I might think about it."
You paused.
She laughed out loud, genuine and surprised, "You're not actually considering it are you?"
"I did say it was necessary for me to kill you." You shrugged, "Any means necessary. Plus you'd be the only one to see and you'd be dead."
She hummed, "You're determined, I'll give you that. Maybe a bit too much for such a pretty face."
You narrowed your eyes, "Your flattery is meaningless to me."
"I'm aware, but it's not meaningless to me." Her smile softened.
You grimaced, "What is that supposed to mean?"
She moved some hair out of your face. She answered with an enigmatic smile, and leaned into your ear.
"I know why you want me dead," She whispered, you could feel her smile against the shell of your ear.
"You..." Your words fell flat as did all reasoning in your head.
She pulled back, and you could see her beautiful eyes from under her veil.
Anger pooled through your veins, melting your veins frozen over from the cold.
You turned quickly, tugging on whatever you could grab on her and shoving your knife directly in front of you.
There was no strategy, no rhyme or reason. This was the worst plan you had and that was to recklessly stab at her, with tears streaming down your face.
Sadly, she had covered the knife with her hand, but it had still gone through her hand and golden ichor was leaking out the sides.
She grabbed your hair with her unoccupied hand, tugging at it painfully. You didn't let go of the knife until the pain grew too powerful. With both of your hands now free, you grabbed the front of her shirt and tugged her towards you. With that you grabbed her neck and used the vision you had desperately ignored for the first time in years.
She choked, the ice crawling across her body.
The both of you lost your balance, falling onto the floor with the Tsaritsa on top of you.
She held herself up with one hand, the other still had your knife through it.
You reached your foot up and tried to kick her away, but it didn't phase her a bit. You used your hands to punch her and scratch her until there was golden streaks across her shoulders and cryo flecks all across her body, turning her skin black.
Tears were still streaming down your face. She wasn't fighting back. You were hopeless.
You sniffled pathetically, but still gave it your all.
"Using my own element against me? You're quite bold."
"Y-you need to die." You gritted out, "Why don't you get it, why won't you kill me? I want you dead!" You screeched.
There was a smile on her face, almost ethereal. You could see her eyes, you were staring directly at them. They were so pretty. They'd look even prettier without any life in them.
"I hate you," You sneered, "I hate you, I hate you."
She grinned, "Good."
However her grin was wiped right off her face all too soon as you felt a pinch in your neck.
You blacked out before you could see the carnage.
*~
You woke up feeling like you had just slept for a decade. Your entire body felt like it was made of lead and you just wanted to go back to sleep.
Then you felt your bed moving.
You gasped, bolting up. You groaned grabbing your head and a sore spot on your neck where you had probably slept funny.
You heard a groan from below you, you looked down to see the Tsaritsa.
"What the fuck!" You screeched, practically falling off the bed with a bang.
The Tsaritsa leaned over the side of the oversized bed hastily, "Are you okay?"
You sat up, "What happened?" You glared up at the Tsaritsa and she calmed down a bit.
"Good to know you're alright and still glaring." She put her clawed pointer finger in between your eyebrows, "Calm down, you're going to get wrinkles."
"Tell me what happened." You gritted your teeth.
"You tried to kill me multiple times, one of my attendants saw and heard, they darted you. It wasn't lethal but it had you out cold for days." She said. She wasn't wearing her veil so her eyes were on full display. They were wide and guarded, "Needless to say, you won't be seeing him ever again."
"What? Why?" You slowly stood up and the Tsaritsa helped you (while you grimaced).
"They tried to hurt you." She said simply.
You laughed in disbelief, "And I tried to kill you. Their actions were justified."
"Like I said, I know why you want me dead." She ran her fingers through your hair delicately, and you sneered at the touch, "And you're too interesting to be dead. If I had wanted you dead you'd have been gone as soon as I saw you enter the Zapolyarny Palace."
"..." You stared into space silently, until finally a dreaded question crawled its way out of your throat. You attempted to push it down to no avail until finally you were spewing out your thoughts, "Why did I live?"
She was silent for a few moments. She sighed, "Because you were too much like me. I've seen so many hopeless faces, you were hopeless and alone. Everyone you knew was dead, and yet you still didn't run. You wanted to survive. You wanted me dead." She laughed, "That's how you got that vision right there isn't it?" Your eyes snapped over to your vision on the side table, "Your ambition to live another day and to kill me. That thing is the reason you got away, and it's the reason I didn't follow you. Because if I had died in the snow alone all those years ago..." She didn't finish her thought. She grabbed the vision and tossed it over to you.
You caught it and frowned down at it.
"You hate that thing don't you?"
"With all of my being."
She chuckled, "I didn't expect anything else. Well, I'm not the one who decides who gets the vision of cryo. That is all you shall know about that. So you can stop cursing my name and start cursing the cruel hands of Celestia."
"Celestia..." Your eyes drifted over to hers, "You're starting a war with the stars aren't you?"
She snickered, "They're getting what's coming to them. You feel the same way about me as I do with Celestia. Sadly I can't let you kill me until my business with them is finished. Then maybe I'll let you get a few more stabs in."
You snorted, mildly amused, "Thanks I guess. Wait, is this a plot to recruit me to your Fatui organization? Gotta take down Celestia before I can get to you?"
"I mean, I'd quite enjoy your company but I won't force you to join the Fatui." Her hands delicately came up under your chin, "Having you around is enough."
You sneered, "You're a real charmer."
"I like to think I'm efficient, especially as the goddess of 'love'."
You hummed, "It's a deal then. I'll stick around until the fall of Celestia and then I'll be the murderer of the Tsaritsa."
She grinned, fangs poking out of her lips. She leaned in menacingly, "Deal. Just make sure you don't die in the Zapolyarny Palace. You're mine to kill just as I am yours."
"That sounds too romantic." You deadpanned.
She grinned, "Well I am the supposed goddess of love."

btw I don’t know if this is a thing anyone is thinking about but I’m not gonna stop drawing Jimmy as a canary. It’s a lovely bird. It’s still something that’s been really important to his series. There’s no reason to drop the canary headcanon just cuz Lizzie fell into the void.
#warning: don’t open up these tags I went on a very heated and rather unrelated rant cuz I’ve been mad#trafficblr#life series#secret life spoilers#secret life smp#jimmy solidarity#also I’m sick of seeing ppl celebrate Jimmy surviving because they hate the canary curse fans like SHUT UP!!! LET US HAVE FUN GOD!!!#LIKE LITERALLY EVEN IF NOBODY CAME UP WITH THE CANARY METAPHOR WE WOULD STILL BE TALKING ABOUT HOW HES ALWAYS DYING OK WE DIDNT MAKE UP THAT#HE DIES FIRST HE JUST DOES. GOD. so what if some people make shakespeare sounding posts about the curse that I don’t understand. we are JUST#having fun and making connections where we don’t need to BECAUSE ITS FUN. NOT CUZ WE DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE. sorry for the past few#days I’ve been genuinely mad at this fandom’s growing hatred towards its own community.#LIKE IM FINE IF ITS NOT YOUR THING BUT GOD. WE ARENT EVEN DOING ANYTHING 😭😭😭 THE LORE LITERALLY WRITES ITSELF OR IS WRITTEN BY MARTYN LOL#I’ve just been getting SO TILTED man. like ohhh yeah okay ur right i said too much guess I won’t say anything anymore#does anyone else genuinely not know wtf ppl are talking about when they say a certain hc takes over everything about the character#cuz I literally see so much varied Jimmy content yet I’ve seen several ppl complain that ppl ignore aspects of his character in favor of#WHATEVER when I literally don’t see that happening to him. step out of ur circle or something I don’t even HAVE a circle man

just watched the apple music interview with jk and one part that stuck out to me was when the interviewer pointed out the beautiful cityscape beyond the windows and how they were currently on the 19th floor of this incredible building that bts' career built but that they (bts) had started out there on the ground level, amongst everyone else, in the streets. except they were actually even lower than that, no? lower than the ground, literally underneath it in that cramped and wet basement of the first building where the mirrors used to fog up so bad while they practiced they could barely see themselves and sometimes it would flood when it rained. where mold flourished on the walls and they habitualized saving their work on the computer every few minutes just in case the power went out, as it often did.
it's just truly so impressive (understatement). it's a story we're all familiar with and yet it always makes my breath catch a little to really think about in full, to reflect on just how far they've come.
and rn i love jk at the center of this little moment and his dedication to living in the present and not ruminating on it all too much. it's v admirable to me personally as an incurable, chronic ruminator lol
tbh the momentum with which they all continue to move forward, powered by trust and gratitude, always running at full speed ahead (accelerate more, you idiot), is one of things i continuously try to take away and carve into my own bones. i'm not sure i'll ever be able to put into words the feelings i've experienced watching something like yoongi go through the amygdala door at the end of his tour or reading the lyrics to no.2 on indigo for the first time or probably 10 other examples i can't even think of right now but the amount of healing and perseverance they all continue to model is so fucking powerful.
i feel so lucky to have them as such authentic examples. they deserve the fuck out of that hybe skyscraper, fight me.

Wanting more homoeroticism in the tension between the show’s leads as the narrative introduces greater intimacy and higher stakes between them, especially in a landscape that lacks queer representation who isn’t a villain or dies within one or two episodes, but also recognizing that core values/motivation for these characters lie in their relationships with one of two major female characters in an on screen sausage fest where the only other woman is a morally reprehensible femme fatale and erasing and/or vilifying female leads in favor of conventionally attractive males is a common practice observed in fandoms that’s rooted in misogyny and justified under the guise of rejecting heteronormativity, thinly veiled double standards, or claiming the woman is simply not interesting enough and not wanting to bolster that mindset
#the worst of evil#you know who’s not interesting enough? haeryeon!! bibi’s acting the hell out of her and slaying while doing it#but idk anything besides she’s willing to subvert her dad for dick and values money over everything else#and also she’s hot which is great for me!! but also the male gaze#and I also get it - we don’t know much about euijeong in her limited screen time besides her relationships to junmo/kicheol#but she is given so many traits that are silently conveyed like compassion and bravery and sacrifice#she brought a fucking gun to her date with kicheol like the conflicts and motivations here are SO JUICY#her exasperation guilt and despair with the investigation; esp after listening to the voicemails#what’s the self respecting thing to do; do I still love my husband if he loses himself; can I continue a game I never wanted to play#at the cost of my life or my family’s life?#even though a lot of her choices are for her marriage she’s using whatever agency she has in her own terms#kicheol works to be an honest man and make a difference partly bc of her#not trying to place the burden of fixing men on her but ignoring her impact in the boys’ lives is wild#ship whoever you want hate whoever you want but don’t deride a woman just cuz ‘she’s in the way’ ya know#all this being said; kicheol bringing junmo home after he RAMPAGED seemingly on his behalf - literally who else is doing it like them#the yearning all around - I get it now; we need gangster mob!throuple to get any shit done around here (and for all 3 to stay alive 🫣🙏)#but the reality next week is gonna be so so bitter

oc deep dive questionnaire - dhes edition
tagged by @sikoi (ty you for the tag!! <3)
Tumblr media
-what common/uncommon fear do they have? tbh, there's not much that scares Dhes. when he was younger, he feared rejection, but that fear has lessened significantly as he's gotten older & become more comfortable with himself
-do they have any pet peeves? he's pretty particular about housekeeping, so his biggest pet peeves tend to be related to that. but he especially hates when Kelly leaves his shoes lying around instead of putting them away (bc Dhes *always* trips over them lol)
-what are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? CDs (lots of CDs), a tamagotchi (he brings it to work. it never stays alive long), & notes that he & Kel wrote back & forth to each other during class throughout their teen years
-what do they notice first in a person? whether or not they look directly at him/look him in the eyes
-on a scale of 1-10, how high is their pain tolerance? probably 8 or 9
-do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? fight - Dhestyn's a fighter through & through
-do they come from a big family/are they a family person? his family is pretty average, size-wise. his family dynamic is very eccentric, so whether or not he's a "family person" is kind of a complicated answer. he's not particularly close with anyone in his immediate family, but he does talk to them & visit them often
-what animal represents them best? a dog - generally, he's very friendly & loyal, but in the right circumstances, he does tend to bite
-what is a smell that they dislike? burning meat
-have they broken any bones? if so, how? several, mostly his fingers & wrists though. he's broken them in skateboarding accidents, during fights with other kids when he was in middle/high school, & by simply making poor decisions due to his reckless nature :-)
-how would a stranger likely describe them? i actually kind of explained this on his character page, but to sum it up people tend to see Dhes as either very charming or very unsavory
-are they a night owl or a morning bird? both! Dhes has a horrific sleep schedule. he'll regularly stay up until 1-2am & he wakes up at 5 o'clock every morning. though if he had to choose one, he prefers mornings
-what is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? he really likes cinnamon. he's not a big fan of seafood.
-do they have any hobbies? yes! skateboarding, hacky sack, making playlists & listening to music, working out (weights/jogging), fashion (read: "fashion"), & ruining his hair, to name a few.
-boom, surprise birthday party! how do they react to surprises? Dhestyn always appreciates a nice surprise
-do they like to wear jewelry? if so, what is their favorite piece? yes, the man loves to accessorize. his favorite piece of "jewelry" is actually a necklace Kel gave to him when they were fifteen - it's a simple black cord with one of Kel's old guitar picks on it.
-do they have neat or messy handwriting? somewhere in the middle - it's legible, at least.
Tumblr media
-what are two emotions they feel the most? love & anger
-do they have a favorite fabric? not particularly, no
-what kind of accent do they have? standard PNW accent when speaking English, though occasionally he'll have hints of a more Mexican-American accent, which he picked up from his mom's side of the family

A couple Random Genji and some kiriko + other headcanons/short story things? Not a full fic or anything but headcannons that kinda flow into a story of some kind. I don't even have a clue how many I've done at this point XD
Second half of this gets a little sadder, and mentions stuff from his Playboy days including drinking and drugs and stuff not much but it's there so still head up.
BUT then I wrote a short cute thing of how I imagine kiriko reunited with genji so it's not all angst and depresso.
Also random Gency here and there! (There's alot not going to lie lol)
And lastly as per always, this is very very rambly as I'm just getting my thoughts written out and there's not much actual order and there might be some jumping back and forth but I tried to keep it as steady flow as my brain would allow. This one is rather long though.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This one actually starts with Dva! (This is partially inspired of a few other head cannons I've seen from people) After she joined OverWatch in between missions whenever she's doing more normal streams that aren't streaming the fights, where she's in her room gaming or doing other streams around the base, she would bring some of the other members onto the streams either they would pop in to say hi or would stay for whole streams. At first it would primarily be the new blood crew, as they had been around either for longer and her Chat had gotten to know them too.
But then after a while chat started to notice these same two people popping in for quite a lot of streams not really ever acknowledging chat but just talking to Dva. They would be giving her food and bringing her drinks and stuff ,making sure that she's staying hydrated ,making sure she's okay, and just all around taking care of her. One of the two was immediately recognized to be mercy which the chat started lovingly referring to as "mom" because in any stream she appeared in even for a couple seconds she was always just taking care of everyone and looking after everyone and reminding her not to stream too long. The second person wasn't immediately recognized, at least by name anyways. Genji wasn't known to the public what his name was, they just knew he was the ninja guy from OverWatch, that they had seen on the news a couple times in some fights like when they took down doomfist or in Paris. And they had especially never heard him talk before this, so all anyone publicly knew about him was there was this omnic looking guy who was a ninja with green lights on him. And after the first few times he popped in to check on Diva bringing her stuff, and way more specific stuff that he knows would be better for her to have during stream or gaming sessions because he himself being quite experienced in the gaming department he knows what kind of snacks or beverages are better to have while still being healthy at least a little. And after these many appearances by this unnamed member they had no idea who he was, Diva eventually explained to her chat that that was Genji and he was a cyborg ninja who looks intimidating (and can be very intimidating) but who's actually a really big sweetheart is very caring and stuff. So considering how Chat had started referring to mercy as mom, they started referring to Genji as dad, which then eventually snowballed into people shipping them on Diva's stream even going as far as drawing fanart of them. Which at this point no one on the base actually knew Genji mercy had a thing going on outside of tracer ,sojourn and Cassidy and kind of Winston but he was mostly oblivious. They mostly knew from before overwatch shut down, from the random dates they went on or the late night conversations and the all-around flirting between the two of them, but none of them knew that they were even more of a thing than before and were even closer.
Moving on to the next head cannon which ties into that one. We know Genji and Hanzo reunited on the 10-year anniversary of Genji's death when he was around 35, and he's 37 now, and the last letter we know of really between the two is when he told her about reuniting with his brother. And we also know from the recent logs from PVE that Genji hasn't actually been at the monastery in a while and hasn't seen zenyatta in a long time and has just been writing him letters. So I personally like to believe in that in that two-year span Genji was wandering around again with ,a new purpose in life this time ,specifically on the mission to track down Angela. Where he eventually found her after about a year or so, because he had no idea where she was, since he left the monastery he didn't have any of the letters that she could have sent in the meantime, specifically one where she mentioned that she was leaving Cairo and going somewhere else. So for about a year he was on kind of a wild goose chase just kind of running around trying to find her eventually he did find her. At this point she was in between her trips to places to help people and was just in her home in Switzerland, which I like to imagine she lives in an apartment.
Which is where Genji tracks her down to, end of instead knocking on the door like a normal person he knocked on her window, because he couldn't be bothered taking the stairs inside and just wall climbed up to her balcony because it was "easier". He brought with him a few gifts including Swiss chocolate which he was able to get much easier now being in Switzerland, and a couple other assorted gifts.
So as Angela was sitting at her desk filling out paperwork at midnight, she heard a knocking on her window which at first she brushed off as the wind but then realized how distinct of a knocking it was. So cautiously she grabbed her blaster from the table she'd been working on all her Valkyrie suit stuff on, quietly tiptoed over to the window peaked through her blinds and didn't see anything except for a faint green Glow. Which definitely confused her at first so against your better judgment she opened the window, poked your head out and was looking side to side couldn't see anything or anyone, balcony completely empty. Until a little ribbon thing fell in front of her face was she immediately recognized and looked up to see Genji dangling from the upstairs balcony Spider-Man style because of course he is. And before she can say anything Genji says a sweet little "hello doctor", and plopped down in front of her perching himself on the balcony wall. Then after 2 seconds of fully registering what's going on she happily yells out Genji's name as she wraps her arms around him. Where he quickly has to grab onto the window / door so they both don't fall off the balcony with the force she have charged at him with. She apologizes, genji says it's fine, they both giggle, Genji then reaches up and completely takes off his mask/helmet, reaches out brushes a loose strand of hair behind her ear and leans in and says "I missed you <3" in a loveing hushed voice. Which mixed with the cheeky smirk on his scarred face makes Angela's face go completely red. Flustered she looks him in the eyes and smiles before saying "I missed you too<3" as she leans in and kisses genji on the cheek making him go so red in the face that even his ears are blushing and steam releases through his shoulder vents. And for Genji can even get any words out Angela pulls him inside like grabbing on to the front of his new hoodie, what she then cheekily but honestly compliments saying how it suits him, and he does the same with her new hair cut.
You then spend roughly the next year living together slowly getting closer and closer and more and more comfortable with each other than they already were (like they were basically dating at this point but just hadn't admitted it) snuggling, doing daily tasks together, when Angela came home from her long shifts at the hospital genji had done all the household chores and had cooked dinner for them both. And where all-around enjoying life to the best of their abilities, considering all the stuff going on in the news, and eventually the recall. Which they desired to answer together, and made their way to Paris arriving just in time to save Winston, tracer and mei along side Reinhardt, Brigitte, and echo.
Back to the Dva streaming thing, once genji and mercy found out dvas chat called them mom and dad they both laughed at it, but also kinda agreed. Genji first said he didn't see it for himself, which almost everyone else chimed in with all the times he has looked after someone, helped them out, made sure they are staying hydrated, looking out for their health (mental and physical) and has overall became someone any of them can talk to for reassurance or guidance. That combined with all the terrible dad jokes. They both eventually accept their roles as the mom and dad friends of the group.
Genji 100% makw some of the worst but the best dad jokes
Some examples of this, like in PVE when Genji checks in on mei to see if she's doing okay, comforts tracer about mondattas death, even him talking about Cassidy about how he hasn't been sleeping and helping him deal with the emotions and memories causing that. I'm definitely also see him befriending Zarya pretty quickly, after not getting off on the right foot with her not trusting him seeing him as part omnic and not knowing if she can trust him because of it, once they step foot into the gym together they instantly become workout buddies, especially considering both of them are frantically trying to help the others not injure themselves while doing what they think are basic workouts. Primarily with mei, Lucio, dva, even Baptiste and then a couple of the others. Lucio on multiple occasions would go into the gym not wearing proper footwear and immediately get sent back out by either Zarya or Genji. And with the people they don't have to help out as much in that way, they both spar or train with the others and help push them when they need it and help them to go easy when they need it (like brig, tracer or rein)
Genji also gives the best massages in OverWatch, primarily to mercy but he does them for everyone else as well. And when someone injures themselves in a non bloody we should probably take you to the medics kind of way he can help bandage up rolled ankles or other pulled muscles and other more athletics based injuries from both personal experience and stuff he's picked up from being around mercy for so long.
And for the third time back to Dva stream thing, there was one time she was doing a cooking stream with Lucio, and Genji happen to walk into the room to see them trying and shopping things and immediately having to dash over there and take the knives out their hands because Jesus Christ they were going to hurt themselves the way they were trying to do it. And after he confiscated the knives he showed them how to properly use them so they wouldn't hurt themselves horribly, and then physically got them to try cutting again this time with his supervision so they could hands on learn how to do it while also having genji there as a safety net to make sure they don't cut their fingers off.
And eventually after a while of convincing Genji eventually came on to one of Diva's dreams for the whole thing and ended up playing games with her which is where she found out Genji used to play video games a lot (and it turns out Genji is better than her, he kicked her butt a few times and then went easier on her but acted like he was still trying so she could feel like she had beaten him and to not humiliate her in front of her stream) and he was better than her at fighting/shooters games but Dva was better in racing/flying/absurd nonsense games(think like gang beasts and fall guys) except for things like Mario kart (or whatever the OverWatch equivalent would be) where they were pretty evenly matched.
And there was one time they tried to play VR only to very quickly realize that Genji could not because he couldn't get the headset over his mask, and even when they finally did get it to stay in place(kinda) he couldn't hear anything through it and it looked ridiculous over his mask, and everything was tinted very green. So dva changed the set up so the camera wasn't facing him so he could take his mask off and properly play, because she still wanted to play with him but didn't want to make him uncomfortable because she knew he wasn't very big on showing his face especially to the hundreds of thousands of people watching.
Dva also introduced him to games like beat saber which he loved, and was very good at, mainly because of all the sword training (even though it wasn't accurate it was definitely helpful)
Now switching gears to some different head cannons, this is where the sad stuff happens!!!! ANGST TIME!!!!
Genji when looking back at his old self (playboy days) is very overly harsh on himself and views himself as a way worse person than he actually was at the time. Looking back at those days with the opposite of rose tinted glasses. Overall just viewing himself as a very mean selfish person when, in actuality he was still a very kind-hearted sweet person like he is now. Back then though he wasn't allowed to show it or would be punished when he did for "being weak". And he also looks back at his Playboy partying days not really acknowledging why he was doing all that. Forgetting the mental state he was in at that point, with his mental state during black watch and the initial years of his time in OverWatch overshadowing the negative emotions he felt back then.
he had no interest with being a part of the family business but also just didn't agree with it, he was drifting from his brother who he used to be almost inseparable from and now it was almost like talking to a stranger with how cold and distant Hanzo seem to have become. Or whenever he went out trying to make friends or tried dating people, either they didn't want to interact with him because they were scared of the fact he was a shimada and believed him to be dangerous, or when they did want to interact with him they only wanted to interact with him so they could use him for his money and status ,or only going after him for his looks and not actually him as a person. then an assortment of other small things which built up only topped off by the ever-increasing stress and pressure put on from his family and Clan elders, and eventually the assassination of his father sending him over the edge into full party Playboy this is the only way he knows how to cope mode.
With him constantly getting drunk, high, or even a combination of both, and just overall being a Playboy by "sleeping" around to try and escape from his reality, to feel something, something that wasn't all the bad things he was feeling now.
The only one who actually knew anywhere close to what Genji was going through or how he was feeling at this time was kiriko. (I don't care what her canonical age says it makes no sense so I'm still sticking with she's a couple years younger than them. So like when genji's 37, she's 32-33 or something) they would hang out with all the time, and she very quickly picked up on his rapidly decreasing mental and emotional state, not knowing how to help other then just being there for him.
When he wasn't drunk or out partying, he was going out around hanamura/kanezeka, primarily to the arcade with kirko. Where she witnessed all the good things Genji would do and how nice he was with people. like when he saw kids struggling at an arcade game, trying their hardest and failing, he would go over and help the kids in whatever way they needed so that they would win. And if the kids had given up and we're starting to walk away, he would go over play the game and win big prize, the go over redeem the prize and then give the prize to the kids. Or when someone was being harassed, attacked or in general being put in danger, he would stand up for them and defend them, using his skills as a ninja too take down multiple of these harassers or attackers with ease, as kiriko would tend to the person in need to see if they had any wounds or in general to see if they're okay. And if Genji did need help in fighting, he would fight side by side with kiriko defending the city together, helping wherever they could.
She just remembers all the joy he would bring to people around the city. Primarily just by doing little things and being a nice person, actions that he would dismiss as not being meaningful or actually good deeds, not being able to see past the part of him which made him tied to one of the most feared and most dangerous yakuzas in the whole of Japan ,and in terms of criminal empires at the time, in a lot of the world. Genji instinctively would have put on a mask of the cocky full of himself spoiled rich kid with a carefree attitude, only ever letting it really drop around kiriko or in these random moments of kind-hearted gestures with locals or complete stragers. Where you could actually see the real him, the real him that he had to hide from the clan because he was seen as weak and undesirable, and overall just not being cut out for the family legacy. Which overtime only weight heavier and heavier on his heart and soul, not being able to see that the locals around him loved and appreciated him. Not seeing the sentiments and opinions that they hold even to this day of Genji, not seeing him as a shimada, but as Genji. The green haired goofball who would get himself into trouble but had a kind heart and was just an all-around good kid, that they never found out what happened to and to their knowledge just disappeared one day, the same day Hanzo left and was almost never seen again, with only the occasional sightings once a year on the same day. And not too long after the brothers disappearances, the rest of the clan will go on too, either gone into hiding, arrested or killed.
The Kind-hearted sweeter quiet but Goofy side of Genji is the side that kiriko remembers, even years later. She doesn't mourn for the loss of the cocky rich Playboy persona who would get into fights to prove he was better and didn't care about anyone other them himself.
She missed her best friend. The sweet guy she grew up with, who happened to be into a family who didn't want him for him. And as much as kirko still looks back on the clan with rose tinted glasses, much like how pharrah looks back on OverWatch, she still remembers what the clan did to Genji. Not just ordering him to be killed, not just his own brother who they both trusted who Genji loved wholeheartedly even though they had grown distant and/or it was never really shown anymore, but for how they mentally and emotionally broke him down over the years. Leading him down a path which he never wanted to take a step down in the first place. A path which he thought was his only way of escape, even if it was temporary.
She remembers all the nights of Genji coming back from being at the club, only for him to come home to angry screaming about how disappointed they are in him, the shame he's bringing to their family, and the countless other heated arguments between him and Hanzo, where Genji hardly able to speak for himself because how drunk/high he was, get frustrated and just storm away to his room not even listening to Hanzo yelling after him. And all the times she would go into his room to find him sitting on the floor in the corner quietly crying, far too drunk to even try hiding his emotions at this point. where she would sit with him and just talk to him for hours as he cried until he passed out. And all the nights she wished she could do more to help him, all the times she regrets not protecting him, and all the times she replays the memories in her head, going through all the different outcomes of things she could have done differently that would result in him still being with her today, and the different lives they could have been living. All things that are not her fault, things that she had no control over, but still keep her up at night. All the times Genji took the blame for something she did to protect her from being punished, all the times he stood up for her and was there for her, even being the one to advocate for her to join him and Hanzo in training despite all the protests from the elders and the uncertainty from Hanzo, his father and her mother, he stood up and believed in her that she was ready, eventually winning them over and allowing her to join.
All these memories of the friend she lost and wished every day that he could come back, that one day he would come knocking at her front door with donuts ,cookies or sweets in hand like he used to do when he would sneak them both sweets when they both really shouldn't have been having sugar, or weren't allowed any because they were in trouble.
She even keeps a bunch of mementos around her apartment that remind her of him. including her first kunai, his headband that he used to wear all the time in training that Hanzo would tell him look stupid but he didn't care, just seeing how annoyed it made Hanzo made it worth it. A bunch of his drawings she framed and hung up that he would do in secret ,that he didn't think were that good but kiriko absolutely loved and would try to tell him they were amazing. A bunch of assorted toys and plushies she keeps on her shelves and desk that they won at the arcade together. Or even how she continues to dye her hair the same shade of green years later because it was the color that she would dye it when they would dye their hair together.
And even though she couldn't have done anything differently....she feels like she failed him. which is one of the reasons she tries so hard everyday to fight for her friends and for the people of kanezeka, because hopefully someday, she can feel like she made it up to him. Now constantly paranoid of losing someone she cares about, terrified she loses someone like she lost Genji. And still wanting to continue the small deeds of kindness that he would do, that he didn't think meant anything but to her and everyone around him meant the world.
Of course at this point she had no idea he is actually alive.
Whenever genji had a free moment in OverWatch, he would be trying to find her/find a way to contact her, and thinking of all the ways that he could go about explaining everything to her and apologizing for not finding her sooner and not being there. With a million thoughts running through his head not knowing how to go about it. Telling Hanzo was one thing because as much as his brother didn't like to believe it he was predictable, Genji knew pretty much exactly how Hanzo was going to react and could guess every single thing he would do the entire meeting, and even though he knew kiriko he knew that she wasn't like Hanzo, kiriko most likely changed so much you know those years, unlike Hanzo who stuck in the past. She didn't know how she would react, if she would hate him, if she would be happy, if she would punch him in the face the second she saw him, A million ways he could go about it and not one he was certain on. After talking with zenyatta and Angela he eventually decided todo what felt right.
(when reading this next part, picture it with the calm happy music from the kiriko cinematic! It adds to the feels)
So on random evening, the elevator doors opened and out walked a man who had never been there before. A man wearing a gray hoodie and joggers, with what looked like a cybernetic hand, with his hood pulled up and a black cloth mask covering his lower face, and from under the hood peeked a couple strands of bright green hair, and in hand where two boxes of doughnuts. And on his way walking to one of the doors he stopped and said hello to the old man who appeared to be the janitor/maintenance man for that apartment building, and a little girl wearing a kitsune mask with a fox plushie in hand. She was sitting on the floor coloring with crayons, where upon closer inspection she was trying a very familiar green haired girl then also familiar blue spirit fox. Smiling under his mask, he bent down to get a closer look at the drawing, which caught the girls attention, initially being a little scared he signed to her telling her that it's okay and he just wanted to compliment her drawing. She shyly thanked him, and then Genji asked what her name was, to which she replied with "little fox" while giggling and then asked what his name was, and he replied with "Sparrow" and told her that he was here to see a friend that he hasn't seen for a really long time. Did they then said/signed their goodbyes, has Genji stood back up bringing the donuts with him and proceeded to walk to the end of the hall. Where he paused, took in a deep breath, then knocked on the door, holding up the donuts so that he couldn't be seeing through the peep hole. And when kiriko open the door, confused and who it was especially this time of night, she looked up as Genji lowered his mask and simply said "hey kiriko"
series 3 is so frustrating because there is like a shining core of pure diamond underneath the problems . like conceptually it rocks so incredibly hard. but the problems
#dr who#i am being so honest when i say ten should have gotten on his knees and begged for simm!master's life#they should have framed the bit between him and martha's mom so different#like yes it is 10000% in character that the doctor with his bleeding heart and loneliness wouldn't want to kill him#even after everything that happened. because he's the only person he has left. 'i forgive you' was PERFECT.#but literally anyone else that suffered from what the master did. Deserves to rip him to shreds. so very obviously#and like i know.i KNOW that i am watching the 'funny immortal alien saves people through time and space' show#but i actually despise the doctor being framed as like an all powerful savior. or treated like one. even for a little bit. is Annoying#the first part of the series 3 finale having martha be humanity's last hope was SO GOOD bc it like kind of set her up as like#having to grapple with all that responsibility and attention like the doctor does. everyone's lives are in her hands. so crunchy#but when it like slides into 'everyone pls believe in our specialest boy in the world The Doctor <3' it just. falls flat#i feel like with a couple tweaks here and there in the execution and like actual fuckinnn people of color in the writer's room#series 3 would be PEAK media. but as it is it's just. falling short.#i do really appreciate martha deciding to leave ten on her own though. first of all. qpp down. second of all#she's realized that she can't keep traveling with him. bc (as i mentioned) hes someone who simultaneously needs saving#and refuses to be saved in the ways that matter. Yes im fucking ignoring the unrequited romance angle i think#it does a gigantic disservice to martha's character if u boil her down to that. fight me i dont care if that was the authorial intent#martha in the end is too kind to ten and ten keeps making her watch his meandering path of self destruction. toxic doomed qprism to ME.#anyway fuck. idk man series 2 consensus was that im dead inside and series 3 consensus is that the version i have of it in my head is peak#series 2 is better but i think because of my ten martha insanity i actually enjoyed watching series 3 more than series 2.#even if i got mad at it more than any other season. i think something is wrong with me. um. lmao#ten and martha#10 era
