scott appreciation week (day 2) → you’re a werewolf
They will call me by the body
         & mistake bright skin
for new land. Mistake eyes
for lunar rock to be taken
                   home as a souvenir.
#twedit#scottmccallledit#scottmccallweek#scott mccall#teenwolfplus#ive had this made forever but i always wanted to redo it and then i didnt#its literally been since last june#so here it is for this!#anyway i love him#the reason scott is so babygirl is actually because like women his body is a commodity!#it was taken from him by peter and never really given back#hes something to covet and something to destroy but not someone to take care of#which becomes so starkly clear in s5 especially#in the way his mom talks to him after he dies and the way stiles attacks him and never apologizes#and the way by s6 i think lydia and malia are the only ones really treating him like an equal#but lydia treats him the way she treats herself which is with respect and expectation#and he's allowed to fail! but it doesn't mean he hasn't. you know. like i wanna be so clear there's no love lost. there's no hard feelings#and in a romantic setting it would probably be different but as friends i really think she treats him how she treats herself#which is why her holding him to a standard is different bc it isnt inhuman. its just knowing what hes capable of#but alll of that i think is why by s6 he's so surprised when malia is so tender with him#because hes either a child or a god or a hero#and always an alpha#and malias like no actually im gonna do what i want and also im gonna make you take a shower and hold your hand#anyway#the point of this#is that i love him#ALSO I DIDNT GET THE FRAYED FAKE OUT BUT EVERYONE HAS TO LEAVE IT ALONE#I THINK ITS CLEAR THAT IM NOT REMAKING THIS#SO WE ALL HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO COPE

The Teen wolf movie you deserve:
TEEN WOLF THE MOVIE: part 1
Derek and his son are living in a world where it’s no longer safe to be a supernatural being. Hunters are far more aggressive and more advanced than before, especially after the mysterious disappearance of Scott McCall, and are willing to hunt down and kill anything associated with the supernatural. Hiding their abilities is a struggle that only gets harder as Eli gets older.
Tumblr media
Derek tries his best to keep his sons power under control as they’re beginning to manifest in unusual ways. (There are obviously mutations in the werewolf community like Ethan and Aiden and kali so maybe Eli could have some unique things going on with him) But things are hard when your snarky and emotionally detached son is going through a rebellious stage in his life as a werewolf.
Meanwhile in Beacon Hills, surprise surprise, a monster escapes Eichen House and begins psychically terrorizing the town.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Creature is known as the Sluagh. It appeared in one episode of the show and was never shown again. The movie could easily give it more abilities such as the ability to cast illusions and cause insanity. It would also be as strong and as powerful as a werewolf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As it turns out though, the creature was actually let loose by an expert hunter who has made a reputation for wiping out various supernaturals throughout the years. He now wants to add another to the list. The Sluagh is just something he’s using to fish this creature out.
The sherif asks Deaton and his assistant emissary in training, Mason, to investigate the strange happenings around town. After a nasty run in with the Sluagh, Deaton calls Liam for help. Liam has basically taken up Scott’s mantle after his mysterious disappearance and has been Deaton’s supernatural backup ever since.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The people of beacon hills slowly begin to go insane. Either laughing maniacally while hurting others or by other things like dying in their sleep or suicide. The Hunters have also began to feel the power of the Sluagh, but their leader has become too obsessed with his current hunt that all forms of caution are seen as rebellion and kills those who question him.
Back at Derek’s, Strange looks from unfamiliar faces and whispers leads him to suspect that he’s been found out by hunters and he and his son are no longer safe. Unfortunately for him, Eli has snuck off to a party. After temporarily losing control and being forced to leave the party, Hunters track and ambush the place.
Eli attempts to go back and help but Derek makes it there in time to rescue his son and retreats home to pack their bags and leave town
Tumblr media
As Derek and Eli argue, hunters ambush the house. Derek is horribly injured and presumed dead while Eli is kidnapped. Before blacking out, Derek hear’s a hunter mention returning to Beacon Hills. After regaining consciousness, Derek calls Argent, who’s vacationing in Paris with Malissa, for help. Argent is hesitant, stating that he’s officially retired. After begging for his help, Argent gives in and tells him that he and an old friend will be there as soon as possible.
Things that are addressed in part 1
Eli’s mom was human and died during childbirth
Scott went missing a year after the events of the final episode of the series

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE TEEN WOLF MOVIE:
Ok so first of all, the Nogitsune's "divine move" didn't make any sense, wtf was that? They broke all the rules. You can't be a fox and a wolf
Then, there's the lousy excuse for Stiles and Lydia breaking up. The hell. I don't even ship them, but like NO. What, it was too hard to say that he was on an important FBI mission? Losers
Liam, Mason, Hikari, Jackson? What were yall doing here? What purpose did you serve my dudes? I freaking love Liam, and I was so excited for Hikari, and then they give us this. They barely even talked.
I was so confused during the entire movie, I didn't know whether or not Chris and Melissa were still a thing??
It wasn't explained properly enough that Malia was actually kind of Eli's aunt/cousin/sibling, like it took me a while to figure out he had grown up in her presence
Btw who tf is Eli's mom??? When they started mentioning Harris I was like oh we're probably gonna see Jennifer again right it's all linked, she came right before the Nogitsune it would make sense that she has something to do with his return and maybe she's also Eli's mom, like it was the most logical explanation if we think of the timeline but no, nope, Eli just doesn't have a mom!
Also what was Harris doing here? And the acting of the guy who plays him was weird (sorry to hate but not sorry it was really bad)
Allison coming back to stay just ruined her previous departure
They should have implied Thiam was a thing not give Liam a f*cking girlfriend
The way Allison came back was laughable
Why did they have to make Malia and Parrish a thing they interacted like twice
The random swearing every five minutes just because they could put it there smh
The way they explained Eli's reluctance to transforming being trauma and then Derek doing just the thing that traumatized Eli in order for him to transform and it working???
I'm so sad and disappointed we didn't see more Malia/Derek interactions it would have been f*king hilarious
Last but not least, Derek. Derek dying, after everything that he'd been through. After all the abuse and years of fighting. They pulled an Enzo St. John fr. Derek dying in the same way his entire family died. Burned alive. And the writers being like "Yeah but look it's okay he became a true alpha" IDGAF. HE PROBABLY DIDN'T GAF EITHER. MY DUDE WANTED TO LIVE. HE WANTED TO RAISE HIS KID. AND THEN HE DIES AND ALLISON AND SCOTT JUST KISS LOVINGLY LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED, LIKE ELI ISN'T CRYING ON THE GROUNG TRAUMATIZED AFTER WATCHING HIS FATHER BURN TO DEATH?!?! Also Malia was the one who had the most appropriate reaction like thank you for being the only one to be shocked and crying, queen. Your cousin deserved better

Eli in the past.
So I had to make this, because let's be honest the movie was...I can't find the words to describe it. The only good thing about it, is Eli.
Tumblr media
"So you are telling us…That you are the son of Derek" Stile asked unsure of what reaction he should give, he was happy for his sour wolf Did he just call me him his ? and as much as he wanted to deny the pit in his stomach but he couldn't.
It may sound selfish and heartless, but Stiles wished this was all a nightmare or that the boy was maybe one of Derek's one-night stands, or that the mother died while giving birth. Unfortunately, this was all a wish from a broken heart.
"Who is your mother?" Lydia asked when she notice how silent Stiles become, and before Eli could respond the door opened.
"Dad!" Eli happily called seeing Derek at the door, "MOM!" That earned everyone's attention.
Eli throw himself at (Y/N) and Derek who just stared at each other completely clueless about what was happening.
If Stiles was feeling awful, he just wished for one of his crushes to die.
"What is going on?" Derek questioned without letting go of the child in his arms.
(Y/N) walked to Stiles putting a comforting hand on his should as she noticed his dejected expression.
When did she get here? He thought.
"You're okay?" She asked her tone soft. Like always when she talked to him.
Okay, now he felt much worse. He stood up abruptly leaving the place before any could stop him.
"Is he okay?" (Y/N) asked, and no one responded. Not even Scott. Who knew about Stiles feeling for you two.
"I will go talk to him" Scott left giving everyone an apologetic smile.
"So…Can someone explain what a kid doing in my loft, and why is he calling me dad?" Derek raised an eyebrow completely ignoring the kid that left him to hug (Y/N), and the oblivious blush on his cheek.
"Kid, I'm sorry to say this but I'm not your mother. I'm tto young to give birth." (Y/N) explain to the kid tryingto get him off her.
"Not yet, but soon" He pointed out, smiling shiply.
"So what's your name and why are you here?" (Y/N) shacked her head putting the groceries away with Derek. She decided to take things slowly and maybe understand the boy.
"I'm Eli (last name) Mieczyslaw Hale" He happily introduced himself arms spread wide, and from your chock you let the plate shatter on the ground.
"I don't believe you!" You whispered.
Eli turns your way, lifting his shirt to show a half-moon shape on the middle of his chest.
"Impossible!" You slowly walked toward him, before hesitantly tracing the mark.
"It looks just likes yours, doesn't it?" Eli asked smiling at you. You nodded silently. You didn't know what to say or if you were even capable.
"You are my child" You hugged him, tears falling down your cheeks, with the biggest smile on your face.
The half-moon shape, that looked like a burn was a symbol of your home, you pack. Unfortunately, an accident happened and they all die. You felt it as if your heart was burning more with their soul slowly leaving each one of them.
-----------------------------------------------
"So you're telling me…I married two men?" (Y/N) raised an eyebrow, passing a bowl of fruit to the boy, who happily took it grinning.
Everyone had left except you and Stiles, with a promise of giving them details later, since they had school tomorrow morning. Eli had insisted that Stiles stays, and either way, he was your ride home.
"What's with the grin?" You ask, with a smile of your own, you were still not yet over the fact that you had such a beautiful kid.
"You always prepare, a bowl of fruits with some yoghurt for me and the twins. for our movie night. Each Friday." He looked down at the bowl sniffing.
"Used?" You asked worriedly about what have happened in the future.
"You fallen into coma after your saved dad from sacrificing himself" Eli wiped his tears, before giving a smile. He was obliviously trying to hide his fellings, and even if he wasn't your child yet, you hugged him burying his face in your chest.
Your motherly warmth caused all of his hidden emotions to explode. He couldn't help himself from crying, letting everything out. All the fear and all the frustration he buried for months inside of him.
You let him, until he calmed down enough to eat his fruit, and explain. With both of the men just watching you act like mother.
---------------------------------------
"You married dad " He pointed at Derek, who was leaning against the wall, watching from a distance while the boy was still laying on your chest "You got married when you were fourth month pregnant, at that time you were already married to papa Stiles" This seems to catch all your attention, especially Stiles.
"Papa Stiles?" You titled your head.
"Yes,from I was told you had a big fight broke between you and Dad. He said some hurtful things, so you left with papa Stiles to study aboard" He hatefully glared at his dad, before turning to you with the biggest smiles "two months later you discovered you were pregnant..Papa Stiles took the opportunaty to marry you and protect you" He left your arms to go to stiles, who hugged him back with a big smile.
I married (Y/N). Stiles is over the moon biting his lips tp stop a giggle from escaping, at the thought of you two living together, with you wearing a ring, proof that you belong to him, just as how belongs to you.
Stiles didn't look much older than Eli. They looked more like brothers than a father and a son, yet your son seem to look at him with such admiration, causing Derek to clench his teeth, eyes turning slightly yellow.
"and one night he called Dad and told him about everything. He thought he deserved to know that you never cheated on him…You may guess what happened. Dad come and demanded a DNA test, and just like you expected I was his child, and you never cheated" He took some paper out of his jacket passing it to you.
The paper had your full name, with Derek's too.
"He tried to apologize but you refuse to even see his face, but papa Stiles convinced you…Few dates from here and there and you were back together just this time with Papa Stiles, by your side." Stiles was looking at Eli with so much love it warm your heart, yet broke you, you didn't want for Stiles to feel obligated to marry you just because of you been pregnant.
You wish it was his-the child-, because to be honest you always liked Stiles, yet you never dared to express those feelings, knowing well that he liked Lydia.
"What about the twins?" You questioned.
"They are my half-brother and sister, you had them from Papa Stiles" Your head snaps to Stiles, whose jaw dropped. You turned to Derek, and he give the same reaction. Not like it changed, since Eli explained that he was his son.
Oh my God, I have twins. Stiles thought.
"That doesn't explain why you're here?" You asked, and sudenly the boy got nervous.
"After you got on a coma our family start falling apart… Espacially after grandma came back." The boy buried himself in Stiles' chest.
"My mom?" Your voice cracked and your heart skipped a beat, earning you a look of worry from both men.
"She tried to make Dads divorce you, when they showed her that she already had children with both of them, she just laughed and asked them to keep us" Your grip harden around Stiles, making him pat him softly.
"I-I…I didn't know what to do, she already had everything ready, a lawyer, evidence to show that you were forced to marry them" You frowned, before softly standing.
"That's why you came here" You concluded, before wrapping your hands around him. The three of you hugged him, giving him a little comfort.
"I was in your room looking for something against her, when sudenly I was teleported here" You closed your eyes, searching in your mind before it hit you.
"Wait here!" You run to Derek's room, and few minutes later you came back with two books in hand.
"I think you were looking for those" you handed them to Eli, who opened one of them to see writings.
"What are those?" Eli asked, "Those are my journal, from when I used to live with my mom…I think it's more than enough evidance to use" Eli's eyes lit up.
"I hide them, in Derek's room since no one will think or dare to look for them there" You awkwardly laughed, looking away from Derek, who himself didn't know that something precious was hiding in his room.
"When did you put them there?" He found himself asking.
"After two weeks after we started dating" You explained going back to you previous position, stealing your son from Stiles.
You started dating Derek, giving him a chance, when you caught Stiles and Lydia kissing.
"Oh" He simply replaied.
"It's getting late, why don't we leave. We still have school tomorow" You yawned, eyes already closing.
"Can…C-Can we all sleep together?" Eli yawned too, refusing to let you go.
You three looked at each other and shrugged, but deep inside you all were excited to sleep together.
And God knows how fast you all had fallen asleep that night. All warm, with one wish, is for this moment to never end or at least last longer, so you can all graved in your heart and mind.

Already Have- Part 2
I glance at Chris and ask one more time, "Are you sure you want to do this now? What if she hates me?"
Chris slides closer to where I'm sitting on the couch and rubs my back, "I'm sure, and she won't. She likes you, I think it'll just take her a little bit to wrap her head around the fact that I'm dating someone and she's about to be a big sister. Not to mention her best friend's sister is essentially her step mother."
I lay me head on Chris's shoulder as we wait for Allison to get home from school. It's been a month since I found out I'm pregnant and we finally decided to tell Allison. The only other person to know I'm pregnant is Lydia and she swore she wouldn't tell a soul, not even Stiles.
When the door opens and closes I stiffen beside Chris and feel him squeeze my hand in reassurance. When Allison walks through the entry way she tilts her head in confusion and smiles, "What's wrong?"
I take a deep breath as Chris speaks, "I need to talk to you. Come sit down."
Allison takes small steps to the chair across from the couch before sitting down and dropping her bag at her feet, "What's this about? Am I in trouble? Wait, why's Y/N, here?"
Chris squeezes my hand one more time before smiling at Allison, "Allison, there's something I need to tell you, actually, we have to tell you." At this point I'm wishing for the floor to open up and swallow me but I have no such luck when Allison looks between us in confusion before her eyes widen, "Oh my God! He's the guy you've been seeing?!"
I shrink into myself and Chris throws Allison a small glare. Allison turns to me, "Sorry, sorry, I'm not mad, just surprised. I mean, it's a lot to take in you know? Like, I never expected this to happen so it like, came out of nowhere."
I start bouncing my leg causing Chris to lay his hand on my knee trying to calm me down. Chris uses his thumb to rub circles onto my knee as he clears his throat, "Allison..." Allison looks between us in confusion and my nerves take over and I just blurt it out, "I'm pregnant!"
Allison's eyes widen as she sputters, "W-wait, w-wha-what?!"
I feel tears start to build at the anxiety in my chest before Chris cuts in, "Look, I know it's a lot to take in, trust me, it took us a little bit to process it too. That's okay, take as much time as you need to process it but, try and remain levelheaded, a lot of stress isn't helpful in a situation like this for anyone."
I sniffle and bite my lip as Allison nods, "Y-yeah, definitely a lot to take in. I mean, I always thought it would just be me, especially after Mom died, so the fact that there's about to be another Argent. It's just...a lot."
I nod and shift a little closer to Chris before speaking to Allison, "I know you weren't expecting this, none of us were, but I hope you realize that I'm not trying to...replace Victoria. I never want you to feel that way, I love your father but I in no way want to act as your parent. It would just be...weird."
Allison smiles and snickers a little bit, "Well, that's a relief, and I would never think you were trying to replace Mom. I'm a little mad you didn't tell me you were together but I can understand why you didn't, I mean, Lydia didn't even know and you tell her everything."
She pauses and her smile falters, "She didn't, did she?"
I shake my head, "No, she didn't figure it out until the day I found out I was pregnant, so, about a month ago. I made her promise to keep it a secret until we figured out what to do. Stiles doesn't even know, unless he figured it out on his own, which won't surprise me, but Lydia didn't tell him anything."
She nods before she walks over to the couch and pulls me into a hug. I glance at Chris with wide eyes to see him with a pride filled smile. I hug Allison back as she kneels on the floor so we aren't at such an awkward angle. When we pull back from the hug she smiles, "Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?"
I smile and shake my head, "No, not yet, but I think it's a boy."
Allison smiles and looks at Chris, "You know, if it's a boy you should try for a girl next."
My eyes widen as Chris blinks a few times, "Well, let's focus on this baby and then we'll think about another one."
Allison nods before hugging Chris, "I'm actually really excited."
Well, that went better than expected.
--------------------------------------------------
It was family dinner night with Mom, Lydia, Stiles, and now Chris. When I walk in with Chris, Stiles smirks and leans back in his chair, "Knew it! I freakin knew it."
Chris and I chuckle, both unsurprised he figured it out, but Lydia, Lydia looks betrayed. "What do you mean you 'knew it?'"
Stiles sits up straight in his chair before grabbing Lydia's hand, "Babe, I wasn't 100% sure but it also wasn't any of my business. It's her private life, and I think I'm starting to piece together why she's taking her last year of law school online."
My eyes widen and I look over at Mom to see her completely oblivious to out conversation before looking back at Stiles and glare. He makes the sign of zipping his lips closed and throwing away the key before whispering, "Not a word, it's all you now Y/N/N."
I chuckle and roll my eyes before focusing on Mom as she brings the last dish, a bowl of peas, to the table. When she sits down at the table she looks at Chris, "It's nice to meet you Chris."
Chris nods, "It's nice to meet you too Mrs. Martin."
As the time ticks by I drum my fingers on the table before clearing my throat, "Mom, there's something I want to tell you."
She looks at me and smiles, "What's that sweetheart?"
I lick my lips and smiling, "I'm pregnant. I'm having a baby."
I vaguely hear Stiles mutter something about how he called that one too but I'm cut off by Mom's screech, "Really?! I'm going to be a grandmother?!"
I nod and she rushes around the table and pulls me into a hug. When she pulls away I can't help but laugh at what she says, "Huh, always thought Lydia would be the first one to have a baby. I guess Stiles knows how wrap up."
Lydia closes her eyes and groans as Stiles' mouth drops and he looks lost for words, never thought I'd see the day. I snort and grab Chris's hand squeezing it three times as a silent I love you, which he immediately returns.
I lay my head onto his shoulder as the good natured chatter picks up again as Stiles tells one of his many stories from his childhood that has everyone rolling in laughter. As everyone laughs I smile realizing that this is my future, and I'm beyond excited.

***There will be spoilers for the Teen Wolf Movie below. Because I, like an idiot, actually watched the damn thing.***
Everything wrong with Teen Wolf: The Movie
• Eli's Mother plothole. Who is she? Idfk. Personally, I want it to be Braeden. He was born somewhere around the s3b/s4 mark as the movie is 13 years after s6.
• I'm not a Sterek person. I was actually extremely (still kinda am) against Sterek for a very long time. But this movie? I'm questioning a lot of things. What are the complicated feelings, Derek? Hmm? Oh wait, that's right. He can't answer me because he's fucking dead.
• While we're on the topic. Why, Jeff? Why. Not only did he die of fire (like the rest of his fucking family), but he died in front of his son. Derek Hale allowed his son to watch him die. I'm not saying Derek wouldn't die for Eli (because he absolutely would), but to traumatize him like that? No. The man who was kidnapped, tortured, groomed, sexually assaulted at 15, forced to kill the girl he loved, whose family was burned inside their own home by the woman who molested him... was killed off by burning him with hellfire.
• NOBODY making a move to stop Derek from sacrificing himself in the first place? Scott just stared. Stood there. Did nothing. Wtf? Even though Jordan could've just held Void himself, like, dude. You're a Hellhound. He's a werewolf/demon thing. You were destined to kill bigger.
• Derek allowed Scott to take in Eli? Excuse? The man who hates being a werewolf and his 17(?) year old 10th grade girlfriend who died before Eli was born, and who just so happens to be related to the woman who molested him and murdered his family? Yeah, no. Why not his perfectly capable(sorta) and healthy(physically, not mentally) uncle, cousin and sister. Or at least his Grandpa Noah, Grandma Melissa or Uncle Chris. (I'm a Peter/Chris person. Sue me.). These people have been in Beacon Hills and has known him his entire life. Scott met him once when he was three.
• What happened to Stydia? Like, you can't tell me Stiles just allowed her to walk out that door without talking in some way? He loved her for fucks sake.
• Jordan and Malia? I'm not saying it's bad. It's not, I actually kinda like it. But where did it come from? No buildup whatsoever. Just BOOM sex scene.
• Liam gets like, 5 mins screen time. Despite preparing to take on the role of Alpha in s6, he's like a side character put there just to be there. He slayed those 5 minutes tho holy shit.
• Liam doesn't say a single word to Mason. Mason doesn't say a single word to Liam. Why? They were best friends and had this seemingly unbreakable bond in the show but now it's like mom and dad are fighting and don't acknowledge each others existence.
• Speaking of Mason, why is he (a gay black man) a cop? This could've been interpreted as either good or bad depending on how you personally want to take it, but during the time this movie was in production, the BLM movement was still pretty big.
• It's an entire game of 'Where's Waldo' but instead of Waldo actually being there, Waldo is both a giant motherfucking plothole and multiple people. Where is Corey? Where is Theo? Where is Cora? Where is Braeden? Where is Kira? Where is Isaac? WHERE. IS. STILES?
• On the Isaac and Stiles Topic, they're the two that should've been there. Isaac had the Nogitsune at the end of season 3, and took it with him to France. Why do Hikari and Liam have it in FUCKING JAPAN? How'd it get there? Why do they have it? What happened to Isaac?
• Stiles. Where is he. You're telling me that the one person who probably knew the Nogitsune more than it knew itself, wasn't at the battle. You're telling me that Stiles, the one person able to out-fox a fucking fox on multiple occasions when he was FUCKING 17 wasn't there? In all his F.B.I. glory? Because ehe could've had Cora, Braeden, Isaac and Kira in tow, and showed up in the final battle guns blazing, killing the Nogitsune, and saving his pack in his tactical F.B.I vest fresh off a secret important case like sorry I'm late, had shit to do? Then Eli could've met his father's beta, his (possible, cause I love Derek and Braeden) mother, AND the badass F.B.I. guy whose jeep he steals 24/7 and had saved his father on multiple occasions? (Bcus it's confirmed Derek talks about Stiles to Eli) And a cutesy pack scene to finish it off? (With maybe some Stira, Stisaac and/or Stora cause he showed up with them and could be dating one (or all) of them)
• Each antagonist of the movie has (or at least a reason to have) a vendetta against Stiles. We know all about the Nogitsune. Harris hated Stiles' guts, albeit for no particular reason. Even Allison could've blamed Stiles for her death in some way (not that she would, of course.) It reads as though it was written for DOB but when he didn't want to do it, they decided not to rewrite it as such.
• Why Mr. Harris in the first place-? Like, he was one of the sacrifices in S3A, so surely the NEMETON would've known he didn't actually die. And the fact that he still has beef with them just blows my mind :/
《I'll add more as I think of them》

Ao3 link Masterlist
---
It’s no big secret that Stiles isn’t the best at processing his emotions. Ever since his mom died right in front of him at a young age, it’s safe to say it never worked well for him. Stiles either- in his mind- overreacts or bottles everything up until he explodes later on. But for the most part, he walks through life with a mask of numbness, cloaking his feelings so the world can’t see.
You’d think ten years later, he'd have at least gotten a little bit better about it. If anything, he doesn’t blow up as much anymore. Stiles waits until he’s in the safety of his own room to let it out. Crying in peace without the probing questions of what’s wrong and how they can help. Not that that’s the greatest coping method, Stiles can admit that. But the control of it makes Stiles feel better about it.
He has less panic attacks because of it.
Or at least, he used to.
Until his heart did something rather shocking and quite stupid; attach itself to the least expected person: Theo Raeken. The chimera wasn’t shy about flirting with him. Before or after becoming an Alpha. Stubborn as ever, Stiles mostly ignored Theo’s advances in the beginning, much to his heart’s annoyance. Be it for what the chimera did to Scott or what he did to Lydia. Though the banshee assures it seemed like an accident and she’s forgiven Theo. Scott on the other hand…
Then irony decided to make Stiles her bitch.
Just when he was ready to give into what his stupid emotions wanted, Theo got sent to hell. Stiles never got the chance to tell the chimera that his feelings were reciprocated. Instead, he had to watch the one person he’s wanted more than Lydia get torn away from him.
Yeah, Stiles was there that night.
He lied to Scott about his jeep breaking down. When in fact, that’s probably the one time Roscoe ran perfectly. She just didn’t get him to the tunnels fast enough. Stiles got there in enough time to lock eyes with Theo, hear his name muttered from those perfect lips one last time before he fell– was dragged into the hole. But when it came to a means of escape, Stiles’ jeep got him home safely in record time. Which is a novelty in and of itself considering his eyes were so blurred with tears he could barely see the road.
There was no way in hell he was going to let his friends see him cry over Theo. Stiles is smarter than that.
When he got in his driveway, Stiles noticed a mild saving grace. Theo’s hoodie he was wearing the night they were watching Josh’s body was on the floor by the passenger seat. Even after nearly burning from a Hellhound, the jacket was not only intact, but still held the smell of the chimera’s cologne.
Stiles cried himself to sleep while wearing it.
Six months later and not much has changed other than Stiles not really interacting with his pack anymore. Scott allowed him back in only after realizing Theo had been pulling the strings. He ignores nearly every phone call and text. Barely acknowledges them outside of the parameters of general politeness.
Stiles doesn’t mean to be rude, but outside of Lydia, he can’t look at his pack without seeing Theo screaming for help. Without thinking about all of the what ifs that could’ve made that night turn out differently. Can’t look at Scott, the guy who was supposed to be his best friend, and see anything other than Theo’s blue eyes full of tears and terror.
It’s the last thing he sees every night when he closes his eyes.
Last night wasn’t any different and Stiles doubts tonight- the actual six month anniversary of Theo being gone- will be any better. In all honesty, he’s probably not going to sleep at all tonight. It wouldn’t really surprise him at this point. Not when he still can’t properly deal when his mother’s date passes each year.
He just wishes he knew how to make things easier.
There’s a knock on his door, making him groan.
“Stiles?”
Lydia.
Stiles sighs to himself. There’s a reason he didn’t go to school today. He wanted to miss Theo in peace. To feel his feelings without having to deal with human interaction. It hasn’t been easing seeing the other chimeras walking through the halls at school. Today would’ve only made that worse.
“Stiles, come on, I know you’re in there,” Lydia knocks again. More persistently while her tone remains gentle. Soft and kind like when she knows something’s wrong. “We don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. I just- I just want to see that you’re okay.”
Stiles is far from okay, Lydia. But he sighs to himself and sits up a little in bed. He was never angry with Lydia. She wouldn’t have made that choice. The banshee even ripped into Scott for what he did. That it wasn’t very ‘we don’t kill people’ of him and there was probably a chance that Theo could’ve been saved.
“Come in,” Stiles sighs again. As much as he didn’t want to do this, the moment the banshee walks into his room, Stiles is almost grateful to see her.
“How are you feeling?” She asks, sitting on the edge of his bed. Lydia’s brows pinch with concern as she brings a hand to his forehead. Concern twists into worry, “you’re warm. Are you sick too?”
“Too?”
“Hayden and Corey,” Lydia clears her throat, “they both stayed home today because they haven’t been feeling too great.”
That piques his interest a bit, “but they’re-”
“Supernatural,” the banshee finishes his sentence. “I know. Which is all the more concerning that you’re showing similar symptoms. You look just as pale and have the same dark circles under your eyes. I’ll bet you haven’t even been out of bed today. How long have they been showing?” If there’s anything Lydia is good at, it’s the motherly level of care she has for him.
She’s the closest thing to a best friend Stiles has anymore.
Stiles has chalked his general shitty feeling to depression. He didn’t think it’d be a genuine illness of the body. Let alone one that could affect supernatural creatures. Not to mention the fact that he hasn’t been around the chimeras long enough for them to contract- Stiles’ stomach churns, his brain catching up.
“Any ideas what could make a human and chimeras sick?” He asks, ignoring her initial question. Stiles knows exactly how long it’s been. But saying that out loud opens the door for a lot more questions he’s also not ready to answer. Because he’s almost certain he knows the cause of this. The same reason Scott hasn’t pressed the issue too much of Stiles not being around as often.
Lydia’s mouth pulls into a sympathetic line. “Liam actually has a really good one,” she tells him. “All the times he was forcibly kept away from Scott made him upset and sometimes paranoid to the point of a stomach ache. His pack bond was twisting him up inside. He thinks they’re feeling a pull for their Alpha that’s no longer here and because it’s been so long, it’s making them sick. Almost as if their pack bonds think Theo is dead.”
Stiles doesn’t need to be a genius to know that every Lydia says them or the chimeras, that he’s included in that statement. It’s written all over her face. She’s just giving him the courtesy of not saying it out loud. And she knows that Stiles knows.
“Is there a cure for them?” He whispers softly.
The banshee offers a soft smile, “nothing of certainty. Liam is talking to Mrs. Yukimura right now about bringing Theo back. If he can even be brought back. Try and see if the pack bonds can be saved. Since none of them recognize Scott as their Alpha.”
His stomach lurches again and suddenly Stiles is unsure if he’s going to puke or cry. Neither of which he’s willing to let Lydia see. So Stiles throws himself out of bed, reaching for the towel hanging on his closet door. He knew he was angry with Scott, but Stiles never considered that he didn’t think of him as his Alpha anymore. Or that a human could fully feel the bonds this way. It makes sense to the Theo sized hole in his chest.
A sob lodges itself in his throat as his eyes burn. “That’s great,” Stiles aims to sound positive, swallowing the lump. He sniffles, “I hope it works for them.” He never told Theo how he felt, Stiles has no reason to believe it would work for him.
“Stiles-”
“I’m gonna take a shower,” he takes a careful breath to keep the sob from working its way back up his throat. “Might help me feel better.”
“Okay, but Stiles, he-” her hand touches his shoulder.
“Please,” Stiles says, tears singing his cheeks as they slide towards his chin, thankfully hidden from his turned back. He doesn’t want someone to see him cry. He can’t. Not over Theo while the pack still hates him. The chimeras get a pass from their biology. He has no excuse. “I can’t, okay? I’ll be fine,” Stiles sniffles again, nodding as though that will make his lie any more truthful. “I’ll call you later.”
Lydia squeezes his shoulder reassuringly, “okay.”
When his door closes, Stiles crumbles. Sobbing on his bedroom floor into his towel. Theo has no reason to come for him. But at least the chimeras will be okay.
Stiles held himself to taking a shower, but that’s about all he managed. All of the food in the fridge, even the curly fries in the freezer, didn’t sound appetizing. All he could muster was changing into clean clothes and slipping Theo’s hoodie back on. Stiles kicks himself for not breaking into the Raeken house and stealing the chimera’s cologne. The jacket lost its scent months ago.
All that matters to Stiles is that it’s Theo’s.
One last final piece of the Alpha that he can keep for himself.
His brain must have decided to take pity on him, because Stiles managed to pass out. He only even knows that because he woke up to a soft thud. Tired, sore eyes try to make his vision less grainy, seeing a figure standing in front of his window. Stiles jolts up in bed, blinking rapidly until the figure comes into focus.
“Theo?” Stiles asks, not really believing what he’s seeing. Is he still dreaming? There’s no reason for the chimera to be here. Surely this is just another one of those times his brain concocts a vision of the Alpha only for him to be stripped away. Leaving Stiles crying in bed until exhaustion sends him back to sleep.
It’s a vicious cycle.
The chimera takes a step closer, the only thing truly visible are his glowing red eyes. They make something settle in the human’s chest, a nice warmth. “Hey, little fox.”
Little fox.
That’s what Theo always called him whenever he was in a particularly flirty mood. Or when he was trying to get on the human’s last nerve. It was interchangeable, honestly. But something in the actual hearing of the name out loud after all this time… “Are you actually here?” Stiles’ eyes burn with fresh tears, “Is this real?”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Theo tsks, turning on the soft lamp on Stiles’ nightstand. As gentle as the light is, the human still recoils a bit, squeezing his eyes shut so they can adjust. “I’m here. I just left the others after they fell asleep,” Theo takes a careful step towards him, like he’s worried Stiles is going to flee. “Liam told me that you were feeling just as bad as they were.”
Stiles ducks his head, “I didn’t know.”
“I’m here to help,” Theo says, “if you’ll let me.” Looking back up at the Alpha, the blanket falls off of Stiles’ shoulder. Before he can speak, the chimera asks, “are-are you wearing my hoodie?”
The human looks down at himself. The scent has long since faded from the fabric. And it’s just a plain black hoodie. Stiles wears hoodies all of the time, what would make Theo think it’s his? It’s not like the human doesn’t like his clothes a bit baggy either, especially his jackets. Though, looking at it better, it does kind of swallow him. Not even the length of Stiles’ arms are a match for the sleeves needed to fit Theo’s muscles. His fingers barely poke out.
Unable to lie, Stiles simply nods, “I found it in my jeep.”
“How long?”
Stiles fiddles with the hem of the sleeve, “whenever I need to feel safe,” he mumbles.
The Alpha crouches in front of the bed, stilling the human’s hands, “okay, but how long?”
A tear slides down his face, trying to hide it, Stiles tucks his chin and whispers, “Ever since you went to hell.”
Theo’s arms are around him in an instant, holding the human close to his chest, “I’m so sorry, sweetheart.” The Alpha fumbles for a second, before two thuds hit his floor. The chimera has taken his shoes off and is curling into Stiles’ bed with him, “I’m right here,” he says.
Sobs scratch Stiles’ throat as he clings to the Alpha. He didn’t think that Theo would ever come see him. Yes, he flirted. Yes, he made his intentions clear. But Stiles never once gave in. Never gave any indication that he was interested too.
“Look at me, Stiles,” Theo whispers, trying to pull back a little. But Stiles clings harder. He never wanted his pack to see him cry, he definitely doesn’t want Theo to. He’s sure the chimera is past exploiting weaknesses, but Stiles doesn’t want to seem weak. “Please don’t hide from me,” Theo says, gently bringing the human’s head up.
Tears stain his cheeks and new ones spill freely. “I never got to tell you,” Stiles hiccups. The last six months crash into him like a tidal wave and Theo’s the only one who can hold the pieces of him together.
Theo wipes his face with the pads of his thumbs, cupping Stiles face, “you didn’t have to.” The Alpha taps the human’s nose, “I always knew. I was just waiting for you to come to the conclusion yourself.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner,” Stiles closes his eyes, trying to hide his face again.
“Stop apologizing,” Theo’s voice is incredibly soft. Caring and gentle. “And stop trying to hide. You don’t have to hide anything from me, sweetheart. Definitely not your tears,” the Alpha smiles. “It tells me you care about me.”
“So fucking much,” Stiles sniffles, pleading with his emotions to calm down and enjoy the moment with the chimera. “I tried to get to the tunnels in time, but I wasn’t fast enough. When I got home I found your hoodie and I- I thought that it would help keep you with me. I lost you, Theo and it almost destroyed me. I didn’t even know that I considered you my Alpha until Lydia came by this morning.”
Theo smiles again, brushing the tears away as quickly as they can fall until they finally dry up. “I did. I felt it as soon as I became an Alpha. But I wasn’t going to push you. This isn’t your fault, Stiles. None of it is. All that matters now is that I’m here and I’m not going anywhere.”
“You’re not upset with me?” Stiles asks. “For not telling you sooner.”
“No,” the chimera shakes his head, “not even a little bit. Like I said, I always knew the truth, I was just waiting until you were comfortable enough to tell me.” Theo assures him again, “I’m right here with you. As your Alpha, your friend, as anything you’ll let me.”
“Everything?” Stiles asks, hope blooming in his heart.
Theo’s smirk darkens, eyes flickering red, “If that’s what you want,” he leans so close they’re sharing breath.
“More than anything,” Stiles says, closing the small space of their mouths. Melting into Theo as he pulls them close and deepens their kiss.
His heart swells about three times its size being back with Theo. The Alpha growls in the back of his throat, sending the vibrations through Stiles’ chest, healing him from the inside out.

it's not a bad thing (to fall in love) by @evanesdust (wc45661, explicit)
Summary: After his mom died, Stiles watched as the grief tore his father apart. From that moment on, he vowed to never fall in love. When his high school girlfriend started talking about marriage, Stiles freaked out and tried to break up with her. She refused to accept that they were over until Stiles finally blurted out that he was gay. Years later, his little white lie bites him in the ass when she invites him and his boyfriend to her wedding. Enter Derek, who reluctantly agrees to pretend to date him and ends up giving Stiles a hell of a lot more than he bargained for. This is a human AU where the Hale fire never happened, Stiles and Laura are best friends, and Stiles and Derek go from fake boyfriends to friends-with-benefits who fall in love all because #therewasonlyonebed.
I LOVE STILES/LAURA FRIENDSHIPS. Also, just everything here - the "I'm gay" lie and the fake relationship and the way Derek and Stiles are just drawn to each other... So good.

Summary:
After his mom’s death, Stiles wasn’t interested in meeting his soulmate, but following a chance encounter in the park, he decided that maybe soulmates weren’t so bad. Unfortunately, life sucked. Tragedy struck, and Derek was gone before Stiles could get to know him. Derek only ever wanted one thing in life: to go back to Beacon Hills and find his soulmate. But when he finally returned home, was it too late? There was no guarantee that Stiles was still there or that he hadn’t moved on with someone else. …or the one where everyone had a soulmark that disappeared when they met their soulmate, but Stiles and Derek met when they were too young to do anything about it.
then - Stiles
Stiles sat at his desk, tracing over the soulmark on his arm with a permanent marker. That way, he could pretend that it wasn’t real, that soulmates weren’t real and that he didn’t have one. Why would he want one anyway? Not when it only brought heartache.
It had only been a few months since Stiles's mom died—since his whole world shattered. But he'd seen what the loss of a soulmate did, and even at only nine years old, he knew that was the last thing he wanted.
Not after watching his father's suffering—losing himself to booze and then to work. It had cemented the wall around his heart, and he hoped he never met his soulmate.
"Hey, kiddo. You ready?"
At the sound of his dad’s voice, Stiles tossed the permanent marker to the side and jumped up from his desk chair. He was giddy, bursting with excitement to get out of the house. More importantly, to do something with his dad. "Yeah."
His dad stepped inside the room before kneeling next to Stiles's bed. He picked up the scarf, and after Stiles put on his winter coat, his dad gingerly looped it around his neck, ensuring the ends didn't get caught when Stiles zipped up his jacket.
"I'm sorry," his dad said, voice breaking.
Stiles pat his dad on the cheek. "It's okay, daddy." He didn’t blame his dad at all. The other day, he overheard Scott's mom talking on the phone, saying that people process grief differently. He wasn’t exactly sure what it meant, but he was happy when he leaned forward to hug his dad and didn't smell the sickly sweet scent of whatever he'd been drinking lately. Instead, Stiles just smelled his dad. Clean, like soap, and the stuff he’d pat on his face after shaving.
His dad coughed, looking away, but Stiles could see that his eyes were shiny with unshed tears. A near constant in their house since his mom died.
"I love you, kiddo."
"I love you, too, daddy."
"So… Park? Playground? Maybe we can make some snow angels."
Stiles smiled, nodded, and held on tight as his dad gave him a piggyback ride out of his room and down the stairs.
-
Only a few people were at the park when they got there. Stiles and his dad built a snowman for a while and then ran around, throwing snowballs at each other. It was a great day, the best he'd had in a long time.
But then, some parents showed up with their kids and wandered over to his dad. Some talked about whatever problems they were having in town since his dad was a deputy, but others walked up with sad smiles. The fifth time someone offered their condolences, Stiles slipped away.
A dark-haired boy, probably not much older than him, built a snowman near the treeline. Stiles noticed that he wasn’t wearing a jacket or snow pants. Just a sweater and jeans—not enough for a human in this winter weather.
Stiles’s eyes went wide because that meant this boy was likely a—
"Werewolf," he whispered, his voice filled with awe. Stiles had never met a werewolf before—at least, not that he knew of. They tended to keep to themselves. All supernatural creatures did. According to his dad, it was safer for them that way. People still wanted to hurt them just because they were different.
'Sometimes people are scared of things they don't know and understand,' his dad told him once. Stiles had rolled his eyes at the time, thinking that was stupid.
With a werewolf right in front of him, curiosity got the better of him, so Stiles made his way over and squatted on the ground next to the boy.
"I don't need any help," the boy said without even looking over his shoulder.
Stiles tilted his head and watched the boy pack snow onto his snowman. "Are you gonna call him Olaf?"
Frozen was one of his favorite movies.
"Why would I call him Olaf?" The boy sounded annoyed. Kind of like Jackson did when Stiles asked too many questions during their lessons, but his mom had always told him that if he didn't understand something, he should raise his hand and tell the teacher. Before Stiles could answer, the boy turned around and asked, "How old are you?"
"I'm nine right now but my birthday's in a few months and then I'll be ten." Stiles shuffled forward on his knees. "Most people don't ask that question first. They ask, 'What's your name?' And then I hafta tell them my name is Stiles even though it's not my real name 'cept no one but my mama can say it."
The boy stared at him, one brow raised high. Stiles wanted to poke it because it kind of looked like a caterpillar but that probably wasn’t appropriate. Instead, he asked, "Are you a werewolf? Is that why you're not wearin' a jacket or snow pants? My daddy made me put mine on. A scarf too but scarves are stupid. Jackson likes scarves. Hey! We could make a snow angel! Me and my daddy made snow angels until I threw a snowball at him, then we had a snowball fight but I won't throw one at you if you don't want. Wait! I shoulda asked your name first!"
Stiles looked up at the boy expectantly.
The boy's other eyebrow shot up, and his mouth dropped open. A lot of people looked at Stiles like that, like they couldn't keep up with him and his rapid thoughts.
"I—uh, Derek. My name is Derek."
"So, how old are you, Derek?" Stiles picked up some snow and patted it against the snowman Derek was building. Sometimes people got this look on their face, like they were trying not to raise their voices or show they were frustrated with him. Derek had that look right now.
But then Derek sighed and smoothed down the part that Stiles added. "I'm thirteen. And, yes, I'm a werewolf."
Derek sniffed the air, making Stiles chuckle.
"What are you doing?" Stiles asked.
"You smell human, but also like hot cocoa and toffee."
Stiles's eyes went wide. That was so cool! "I do? I like hot cocoa. But how can you tell I'm human? Do we smell different?"
"If you were a werewolf, you'd smell like pine. Like dirt and grass." Derek gestured to the trees behind them. "Like the preserve."
"That's so cool. I've never met a werewolf before."
Derek grunted, but Stiles’s dad called his name before Stiles could ask where Derek's parents were.
"I have to go. Bye, Derek!" As Stiles ran back to his dad, he smiled brightly. "Daddy! Daddy! Guess what?"
His dad looked tired, but his eyes crinkled in the corner when he smiled, so Stiles knew he wasn’t too sad. "What is it?"
"I met a werewolf!" "You did?"
"That's him!" Stiles nodded enthusiastically as he gestured toward Derek, waving when he noticed Derek looking at them. "His name's Derek and he's my friend now."
His dad chuckled and squeezed his shoulder. "I'm glad, but we should head home now."
"Okay, daddy!"
-
As he took a bath, Stiles made his airplane collide with his rubber duckie. "Boom!"
"Alright, kiddo. You 'bout done in here?" his dad asked from the doorway. "Your PJs are on your bed."
His dad stepped in and grabbed the towel off the hook. "Go ahead and drain the tub. C'mon. I'll read you a story after I tuck you i—” He frowned as he knelt by the tub. “What's that on your arm?"
Stiles looked down at the faint lines of his arm. Most of the permanent marker had faded, but his skin was unblemished instead of revealing his soulmark. "I traced over my soulmark, but it's gone." He tilted his head in confusion as he looked up at his dad.
"Well, it looks like you met your soulmate today." His dad wore a sad smile on his face.
Stiles's mind immediately latched onto the dark-haired boy he met earlier. Derek. Could Derek be his soulmate? Maybe soulmates weren't so bad then. Especially if his soulmate was a werewolf. That would be so cool. And it wasn’t like Derek could get sick like his mom did since their bodies were basically magic, always keeping them healthy.
His dad cleared his throat and wore a knowing look on his face. "Alright. I know you're excited, but it's still bedtime. We'll figure this out in the morning."
"Aww, but da—"
"No," his dad said, holding a finger up. "I know you think it's that boy, and it probably is, but it's also late. I promise I'll look into it tomorrow. But for now, it's time for bed."
Stiles drained the tub and pouted as he got out. Another protest was on his tongue, but his dad wrapped him in the fluffy towel and kissed his forehead before nudging him toward his bedroom.
After quickly drying off and dressing, Stiles climbed into bed so his dad could tuck him in. Two bedtime stories later, his lights were off, and he could hear his dad shuffling around downstairs, likely making sure everything was locked up and all the lights were off.
As he watched the shadows dance along the ceiling, he couldn’t help but wonder how fast his dad would be able to find Derek. Had Derek already realized that his soulmark was gone? Did he think it was Stiles? Was he excited, too?
Somehow, Stiles managed to fall asleep, but he was startled awake when his dad shook his shoulder. "Wha…?"
"Sorry, kiddo. I gotta head into the station. Put your shoes and coat on."
Stiles rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he crawled out of bed. Before he could ask what happened, he yawned—big and wide.
His dad already had his coat open, so Stiles slipped it on, continuing to yawn. "You're gonna stay with Scott, okay?"
Stiles was too tired to really think about it, so he just nodded and followed his dad to his cruiser.
By the time they got to Scott's house, Scott's mom, Melissa, was already standing outside. She kissed him on the top of the head and ushered him inside.
As he walked inside, Stiles heard mumbled words, something about a fire, but then the front door closed and Scott's mom put an arm around his shoulder, leading him up to Scott's room. "Go ahead and sleep, sweetie."
All Stiles could do was nod before crawling into bed next to Scott and promptly falling back to sleep.
-
The next morning, Scott's mom shuffled them to school. Kids and teachers whispered about a fire in the preserve, killing a local werewolf pack.
Something horrible churned in Stiles's gut.
As soon as school let out, he practically ran home instead of waiting with Scott.
"Dad?" Stiles called out as soon he opened the front door, knowing his dad was home since his cruiser was in the driveway. He tilted his head and could hear the shower running upstairs, so he knew his dad was awake.
There was a file on the dining room table. Stiles knew he shouldn't look at it; his dad had told him multiple times not to snoop, but he couldn't help himself.
Maybe this time he should have listened.
The file contained the report of a house fire that claimed the lives of an entire werewolf pack, except for two people: Laura Hale and her younger brother, Derek Hale. The boy Stiles was sure was his soulmate.
He didn’t stop staring at the file even as his dad's cell phone rang from upstairs or when the shower cut off.
A few moments later, a hand squeezed his shoulder. "You were supposed to go with Scott after school."
Stiles ignored that and blinked up at his dad, tears stinging his eyes. He sniffled before asking, "Is he okay?"
His dad plucked the file from his hands, closing it. "He's okay."
"Where is he?"
"He's with his sister."
That made sense.
"Can I see him?" Stiles asked. "He's my soulmate. I can help him. It would help him, right? If I were with him?"
"Stiles…" His dad sighed. "They're going through a lot right now. Let's just give them some time, okay?"
Reluctantly, Stiles nodded. He could do that. He could give them some time to grieve before he tried to find Derek.
But Stiles never got the chance. A few days later, the two remaining members of the Hale pack moved away.
-
now - Derek
Derek hated parties. They were cool when he was younger and in college, but he quickly outgrew them. With a glance at Boyd, he rolled his eyes at the different people pouring into the newly rebuilt pack house. Damn Erica and her insistence on a housewarming party. Derek doubted he even knew anyone in town anymore.
He sighed as he brushed his fingers over the inside of his wrist where his soulmark used to be. It was nice to be back, to be where he'd always considered home, but he knew it wouldn't feel right—that he wouldn't feel completely at ease—until he found his soulmate again. Though he doubts that would happen.
It had been more than ten years since Derek left Beacon Hills. He'd only returned a few times over the past several months to oversee the demolition of his old family home and the construction of the new pack house. Every time he drove through town, he was amazed by how much it had changed.
The arcade he used to hang out in was now a clothing boutique. The diner Laura worked at was a Froyo shop. And Derek was pretty sure the insurance place on the corner of Main Street used to be a small bowling alley.
Beacon Hills was one of those towns where people either made roots or fled as soon as possible. And with what Derek had heard about what happened in the town over the years—hunters, alpha packs, and even ghost riders—he was honestly surprised that anyone still lived here. So there wasn’t even a guarantee that his soulmate still did. And if he was still here, there's no guarantee that he hadn’t already settled down, considering Derek left all those years ago.
Derek snapped out of his thoughts when someone bumped into him. Music blasted and everyone was talking and dancing. He shook his head when he saw a heated make-out session in the corner, certain it would soon lead to more based on the scents emanating from the couple.
He made a beeline for Boyd because the last thing he wanted was them sneaking off to find a room to fuck in. Walking through the throngs of people—seriously, how many people were in his living room?—he was hit with the most delicious scent that reminded him of the hot cocoa his mom would always make him on snow days, and if Derek were of sound mind, he'd be embarrassed by the immediate boner he popped.
He took a deep breath. His feet moved of their own accord, like a cartoon character floating through the air, propelled by a scent stream as he chased that delectable scent. He came to a stop in the kitchen doorway.
The most gorgeous guy Derek had ever seen stood next to the kitchen island. He had a cute, upturned nose, mole-speckled skin, and plush, pink lips Derek wanted to kiss. Derek could tell he was slim but not skinny, lean but not lanky—the perfect mix of strength and submission. A wave of possessiveness that he'd only felt once before rushed over him like a wave cresting over the shoreline.
Only this time, he wanted to mark, mate, and claim.
Somehow, Derek managed to control himself, staying rooted in place as he watched this exquisite creature with curious eyes.
The guy was talking to Scott, a werewolf Derek met when he first decided to move back. While the territory might technically still belong to the Hale pack, Derek couldn’t deny the claim to everyone who was here and protected it over the years. One of whom was Scott, a turned werewolf who’d been bitten by a rogue alpha and left to fend for himself. Somehow, Scott survived as a lone wolf by creating a pack with his closest friends. Derek could only assume that included the guy next to him.
Derek's gaze trailed down over the long, pale expanse of the guy's neck as he tilted his head back, laughing at whatever Scott had just said. He couldn’t help the low growl that escaped as he imagined licking a path from the guy's Adam's apple to the spot just below his ear.
Scott's head snapped over, his eyes flashing red.
Oh shit.
Derek hadn’t meant to challenge Scott. He hadn’t realized that Scott had a claim on this guy. When they met up a couple of weeks ago, he thought Scott was with the pretty kitsune at his side.
The last thing he wanted was to start any kind of fight when he was still trying to get a foothold in his territory again. Plus, as alluring as the guy was, Derek wanted to find his soulmate.
The guy frowned at Scott before his eyes followed Scott's gaze. It was like a knock-out punch when they finally landed on him—on Derek. That gaze turned heated and raked over him like a slow caress.
"I wouldn't bother."
Derek was startled at Isaac's voice. He shook his head and shot Scott an apologetic smile before reluctantly turning to Isaac. "What are you talking about?"
"That guy Scott's talking to. Stiles." Isaac shook his head. "Just don't."
Stiles. Stiles. Stiles.
"Stiles?" Derek hadn't heard that name since before Laura died. He stopped speaking his soulmate's name when she told him under no circumstance were they ever going back to Beacon Hills.
"I'm telling you, don't bother," Isaac said with a shrug. "I've heard that he doesn't date."
"What?" Derek asked because all he could focus on was the fact that Stiles was here.
Stiles was here.
"Derek?" Isaac waved a hand in front of Derek's face, snapping him out of his daze. It was clear he'd been talking, but Derek hadn’t heard anything.
"Okay, yeah. I'm gonna—" Derek brushed past him as he made his way toward the front door. He couldn’t be here. After what Isaac said, he couldn’t be this close to Stiles and face a possible rejection. Not yet.
Isaac's brows furrowed in concern. "Are you okay?"
"M'fine," he grunted. He didn’t have the energy to explain anything yet. "Just need air."
As soon as he was outside, he sprinted into the preserve. Magic permeated the air as he leapt and shifted—his clothes shredding and falling to tatters on the forest floor as he ran from the house.
From Stiles.
-
By the time Derek got back, it was obvious by the lack of cars littering the front lawn that the party had died down. A pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt were sitting on the front porch railing. Thank God for Erica because while Derek wasn't modest—hard to be after growing up in a large pack—he didn’t necessarily want to walk inside naked right now.
He dressed quickly and headed inside, ignoring the way Stiles's scent still hung in the air. A few heads turned his way, but he ignored them, too. In fact, he only glanced around to find his pack, to ensure they were here and safe.
Isaac was chatting up some guy in the living room while Erica and Boyd were conversing with Scott in the kitchen.
Erica glanced at him as he grabbed a drink of water. "Hey, De—"
"Later," he told her, taking the glass upstairs. An apology sat on his tongue, but no one had ever said he was particularly verbose. Not for a long time, at least. Besides, considering what happened earlier, he'd need to give Scott more than a quick sorry. He'd need to explain why he reacted the way he did, and that wasn’t something he could do right now.
On the way to his room, Derek passed the study. The light was on and the door was cracked. Which was odd, considering the pack was downstairs and no one should be up here. It was also odd how strong Stiles's scent was up here.
Somehow, he was still surprised when he pushed open the door and found Stiles lying back on the couch by the window.
"Hey," Derek said, stopping in his tracks.
Stiles sat up, eyes going wide. "Um, yeah, hi." An awkward silence filled the room, weighing it down until Derek felt like he was suffocating. Before he could escape, Stiles cleared his throat. "Good run?"
"What?" Derek asked because, naturally, he’d forgotten how to think, let alone speak, when Stiles was in front of him.
"Um, your beta—Isaac? I think that's his name—he said you went for a run."
Derek nodded.
Stiles's large doe eyes sparkled as he barked out a laugh. "Still not much for talking, huh?" There was a moment of silence as they stared at each other, but it wasn’t as awkward as before.
Part of Derek wondered if he should leave. He still wasn’t quite sure he could handle a rejection right now, but his legs didn't agree, refusing to move.
The silence was broken when Stiles finally spoke again. "Do you remember me at all?"
Derek's lips twitched in a small smile as he recalled the day Stiles bounded over to him like an overgrown puppy. "Yeah, I remember."
"So…" Stiles bit his bottom lip and Derek took a subconscious step forward. "I heard you were back in town. Well, officially. I know you were in and out of town for a while now."
"I’ve been back for a week now, yeah."
Stiles tilted his head, his gaze intense. "What made you come back?"
Derek's eyes were drawn to Stiles's hands, at the way he absentmindedly rubbed his thumb over where his soulmark should have been. "I think you know why."
He watched as Stiles swallowed thickly, watched the way his pulse jumped.
"Tell me anyway," Stiles whispered, voice full of what sounded like hope.
Derek walked over and knelt in front of the couch, reaching for him and wrapping his hand securely around Stiles's wrist. There was electricity in the contact as his thumb also rubbed over the spot where Stiles's soulmark used to be. It left him reeling, his voice shaky as he whispered, “I think you can guess why.”
“Say it anyway.”
So Derek did. "For you. I came back for you. To find you."
"It's been a long time."
"I know. And I know things might be different for you." Derek dropped Stiles's wrist as Isaac's words from earlier replayed in his head. I've heard he doesn't date. He stood, taking a step back. "I promise I'm not here to cause any problems."
Stiles scrambled off the couch, arms flailing. Derek steadied him when it looked like he was about to fall over. "There're no problems! What problems? Is it what Isaac said? I asked Scott what you guys were talking about before you left and he said Isaac told you that I don't date, but that's not the whole story."
Stiles's eyes practically burned molten with his vehemence.
Derek cleared his throat, his heart thumpthumpthumping wildly in his chest, thinking that maybe he wasn’t too late. That Stiles wasn’t going to reject him. "So what's the whole story."
Stiles huffed a laugh. "I'm sorry. Was that a question?"
"Yes?" Derek couldn’t help but smile. He'd been yelled at a time or two for his lack of inflection.
"I do date. I mean, I have. I've dated," Stiles said before muttering, "Oh my God, Stiles, get it together. You know how to form a complete sentence."
Derek was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to hear that. It was cute, though—almost endearing—how Stiles talked to himself.
"I just mean to say…that I've dated. I mean, I was in a pretty serious relationship until a couple of years ago."
"Oh." Derek stamped down his jealousy. It wasn’t a good look for him, not in this situation. Besides, it wasn’t like Derek was celibate the entire time he was gone. Hell, he and Stiles had only met once all those years ago—definitely a far cry from a relationship. Plus, as loath as he was to admit it, he’d already prepared himself for the potential fact that his soulmate had moved on. "I'm sorry."
Stiles shrugged. "Don't be. Things might have started off great but he ended up being a jackass. Left me as soon as he met his soulmate, which would have been fine except he didn't even have the decency of talking to me about it before I found him screwing them in our bed."
Rage coursed through Derek's veins. How dare this person, whoever he was, hurt Stiles like that!
His anger was stamped out when Stiles laid a hand on his arm. "You kind of look like you wanna murder someone right now. Though I gotta admit, it's kinda hot."
Derek didn’t mean to laugh, but he couldn’t help it. "Thank you…? I guess? Is that your roundabout way of suggesting that I'm attractive?"
Stiles smirked, running his thumb over Derek's wrist with a feather-light touch that sent shivers down Derek's spine. "It wasn't meant to be subtle…"
Heat surged through Derek’s body, straight to his groin at the look of lust clouding Stiles's face. "Oh."
Derek knew he was attractive. The last thing he ever wanted to do was come across as cocky or conceited, but he knew what he looked like. Even as a werewolf, he still worked hard to maintain his physique and enjoyed the attention he got from others as a result.
Especially Stiles.
The air grew heavy and thick with the heady scent of Stiles's arousal.
Derek's control wavered and he surged forward, crushing their lips together—careful not to nick him with his fangs. When Stiles wrapped his arms around Derek’s shoulders, Derek slid his hands around Stiles’s waist, caressing his very nice ass before lifting him up and smirking when Stiles let out a breathy moan.
God, Derek wanted to run his hands under Stiles's shirt to feel his body as he pulled Stiles tighter against him. He wanted Stiles's cock pressed against him, driving him crazy until he couldn’t take it anymore. Then Derek would push Stiles against the wall, unbutton his pants, and drop to his fucking knees.
"I can smell your arousal," Derek muttered, pulling away to nuzzle just below the shell of Stiles's ear. He breathed deep, inhaling the way that sweet scent of caramel, cinnamon, and vanilla turned spicy. It was intoxicating.
Stiles whimpered. "It's so good. So good."
Derek burrowed closer, licking a stripe up Stiles's throat before nipping gently at the crook of his neck.
Stiles whimpered again.
When Derek pulled back, Stiles's pupils were blown—his eyes bright and pleasure-dazed.
Derek's eyes were drawn to his lips, so puffy and raw from their kiss. His face was flushed, and Derek would quite literally love to roll around in his scent.
The thought of Stiles in his bed—under him, over him—made Derek growl. There was decorum to maintain, though. Acting like a caveman and throwing Stiles over his shoulder for the sole purpose of taking him to bed definitely wasn't it. Not to mention that this wasn't just about sex for him.
It was at that moment that Derek's brain caught up with his dick.
He dropped his head to Stiles's shoulder and groaned. "As good as this feels, I don't want to jump straight into sex. I want to do this right. Proper dates where I pick you up and take you out to dinner or a movie or a walk in the park."
Stiles chuckled lightly and breathed into Derek's ear. "You wanna woo me, big guy? Wine and dine me like a gentleman?"
Derek huffed a laugh. "Maybe." He shrugged. "I know we're soulmates, but I want to get to know you. I want to be your boyfriend."
"I want that, too," Stiles said, unwrapping his legs from Derek's waist but keeping his arms around his shoulders. "So we should probably take this slow."
Derek nodded. As much as he'd love to pull Stiles close and kiss him until he was breathless again, Stiles was right. And the last thing he wanted to do was rush into anything, messing up what would be his happily ever after.
Stiles's fingers threaded through his hair, pulling Derek in and kissing him again. It was a soft, chaste brush of lips that sparked more desire in Derek now that he'd found his soulmate, the promise of a new beginning. He smiled brightly because, this time, he wasn’t going anywhere.

i carve my name...(wip)
oh that one!!! that one is a very angsty sad gen Sciles thing that i started for an event like 2.5 years ago, and one of the very few things that i picked a title for before finishing it cuz i neeeeever do that 😂 (alternate title option was "such a shame that we play strangers") i think it's set fully post season 5?? season 5 was fucking rough for them lmao and i wanted to explore just how much that season broke their friendship
He doesn’t say anything now. Scott knows he’s awake, so he doesn’t bother pretending that he isn’t. For a long few seconds, they just look at each other. Then Scott looks away. He shifts on his feet. Through the darkness, Stiles can just make out the way he opens his mouth and then closes it again. Stiles finds the energy to push himself upright. He rubs at his forehead and says, with a tiredness that goes far deeper than just a lack of sleep, “Is something wrong? What’s happening?” “No,” Scott says. “No, there’s nothing— Everything’s fine, I just—” He trails off, and Stiles lets him. Scott’s hand comes up to run roughly through his hair. Silhouetted against the streetlamp outside the window, Stiles can see that it’s shaking. Scott lets out a sharp breath and meets Stiles’ eye again. “I just miss you.” The words sit heavy between them. Stiles feels like they should mean more to him, like they should hit him harder. But he’s having a hard time feeling much of anything lately, these last few days especially. He doesn’t know what it is, but everything is five steps away and he doesn’t have the strength to reach for it. Scott is five steps away. He’s right there, and isn’t this what Stiles has wanted? Isn’t that what he’s been fighting for this whole time? Not to lose Scott? He still wants that, doesn’t he?
[...]
Scott shifts beside him. “Do you remember that game we used to play?” he asks, barely more than a whisper. “When we were kids?” Stiles’ breath catches. He swallows. “Yeah.” “Can we play it again?” Eyes already stinging, Stiles lets them close. “Yeah.” It’s another minute before Scott says anything else. He used to be quick on the draw, back when they were kids, always full of words bubbling up and spilling out. Even the stuff he would never tell anyone else, he didn’t hesitate to tell Stiles. And that was the whole point of the game, wasn’t it? They started playing it after Stiles’ mom died and his dad insisted he needed to “talk to someone”. He meant a therapist, but Stiles threw a fit. He didn’t want to talk to someone, and he definitely didn’t want some old guy asking him a bunch of invasive questions and telling him how to feel. “You can talk to me instead,” Scott said then, earnest as anything. “I won’t even talk back at you! I’ll just be nobody, and I won’t ask you any questions or tell you anything. You just say whatever you want to. I won’t even look at you, if you don’t want.” It doesn’t qualify as a game, really. But they played it a lot, in those months after he lost his mom. And they played it again, after Scott’s dad left. Whenever one of them had feelings they didn’t want to admit to anybody, the other would be nobody for a night and just let them talk until they’d talked themselves out. No questions, no responses, no eye contact. Just words in open air, heard but unacknowledged. It wasn’t therapy, but it worked for them.
it gets really sad from there ok even i'd forgotten how goddamn heartbreaking this WIP is, i really should get back to and finish it someday, if only to provide myself with some fucking closure akdljfgh

So I finally sat down and watched the Teen Wolf movie, but it's been out long enough that I feel like it's okay to talk about, but just in case... 🚫*spoilers ahead*🚫
WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK WAS THIS?!?!
1st complaint: literally every single romantic relationship for Malia has felt incredibly forced, even in the show, but none more than whatever the hell she and Parrish had! I might except some arguments for Stalia, but I always knew Stydia would be endgame...
Speaking of Stydia... let's talk about my 2nd complaint which is that trash throw away ✨️reason for Lydia leaving Stiles✨️ "idea" are you- are you really telling me, the girl that was able to convince a whole group of people and HIS FATHER that Stiles even existed after everyone forgot him and was able to bring him back into existence would just... leave him after a DREAM?!?! She fought against everyone telling her she was crazy for remembering someone who supposedly never existed, but she wouldn't fight for a reason to stay with the love of her life??? Cause that's not the Lydia I remember! She was stubborn, brave, and most of all she believed in her ideas cause she knew how smart she was! This just seemed like the "must use woman's pain to further plot" trope. On top of having a reason for Stiles not to be there since Dylan couldn't be in the movie.
3rd complaint: did none of the relationships the show workout or something? Like... why did Scott AND Argent not want Melissa to know they were in town? Argent and Melissa were so cute! She helped him heal and move on, he actually liked and let her be the strong independent woman she always was. I don't particularly care that Allison came back, I wasn't crazy about how they handled it, but whatever. I think Allison would've been happy to see her dad happy again after how he was after her mom died and then eventually her... instead of lonely and grieving his life away.
But no, Melissa and Argent gone.
But also Stydia... gone.
Scalia... gone.
And from what little I gathered Ethan and Jackson are... something. But Jackson is apparently comfortable just being gone and lying to him about why.
Speaking of being gone... onto my 4th complaint! ALL OF PETER HALE'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WAS JUST GONE!!! Like they had me in his first scene with the blow torch, that was just regular old sassy Peter, but then he was just all Gung-ho for killing Allison and right back to his revenge filled ways. He was so protective and ready to finally be a dad for Malia at the end of the show, granted he still had a long way to go, but he was finally fighting with the pack and mending his relationship with Derek. When Scott is monologuing at the end of the final episode he says "Now we have allies who used to be enemies. We have protectors." And it cuts to a clip OF PETER FREAKING HALE!!!!! Like I wasn't expecting perfection, Peter was always a bit of a d*ck, but for all of his progress to just be gone was heartbreaking. Only redeeming part was the cigar and blowtorch bit because it had so much Doc Ock 2004 vibes.
And finally Derek... I just- I can't... I know it's cliche and cringey to say, but this movie is not canon for me. Because if it was, that means I would have to admit all the garbage I just watched was real. And I will not accept that. Most of all Derek's fate... Just no.
Anyway... I could continue, but I would be going on forever with complaints. The way I see it is, I still love the show and I will still watch it. This movie doesn't exist and the characters are all still out there together living their best lives as they should be.
The End.

cough. idk if i explained how theo was brought back but basically . it was liam had the idea to bring theo back. hayden, his GIRLLLFRRIIIENND. was not on board. she used to be in his pack. anyway liam who literally almost killed scott ......... was like "we need something capable of absorbing a lightning bolt. or someone." and liam knew theo killed josh for his power. so he knows he could take a bolt of electricity. in theory he's risking a lot. (he needs someone to absorb lightning bc the ghost riders aka villain of the season travel on lightning and he wants to be able to capture one and then go from there.) he went to kira's mom and asked to bring him back. he was confused when kira's mom gave him the sword and said "youll have to do it yourself" bc he figured that she was gonna do it. and then she tells him "whatever happens...is your responsibility." hayden said she supported him in whatever but right before he put the sword in the ground where they left theo all those months ago, she said "WAIT" and he did it anyway and theo came from hell dirty and scared like a wild animal he IMMMEEEEDIATELY pins liam to a wall with his forearm on liam's throat. . listen. when i tell you he's looking around frantically and afraid its like they cant even talk to him. hayden is like "theo we're not trying to hurt you!" ans hes like . off somewhere. and he says "where's my sister?" <- in some weird growl because he is PETRIFIED RN. and they mistake theo's question for memory loss. liam says "your sister's dead. she died a long time ago." ans HAYDEN SAYS "you killed her ...remember?" hayden..... shut the fuck up. YOU DONT KNOW THAT.??? anyway and then theo says hes gonna kill liam and etc etc then liam holds out the sword as a obvious threat and theo backs off. says that they need his power to help them. AND THE DEAL ALWAYS WAS. THAT THEY USE THEO AND SEND HIM BACK. THAT THEO HELPS HIM AND HE GOES BACK. THATS HOW MUCH THEY HATE HIM. EVERY WRONG OR WEIRD THING HE DOES OR SAYS ANS SLMEONE SAYS "send him back" LIKE FUCKING CHILL GIVE HIM A MOMENT. anyway that was always the deal. but liam said "help us and you can kill whoever you want after. but if you kill US. then you're gonna be worse off than ever." <-ish. and theo says. "theres nothing worse than what ive been through." they do not respond or acknowledge that. do mind tho, liam treats theo with the most respect, more than anyone else does even tho he has good enough reasons to despise him. unlike hayden he recognized how scared he was. and didnt yell at him or accuse him of killing his sister. just said she died. anyway. so theres this contracption that they have able to hold all the jules or voltz of electricity in a lightning rod. they brought theo to it to TEST if he could handle a lightning bolt. liam tells him he can do it. he cant. he doesnt have  josh's power and he doesnt have tracy's power and hes back to classic theo. he thinks hes gonna get sent back by the way liam and hayden are talking so that mf starts going "hold hold hold on i can help" he has information on the ghost riders and he knows shit from the dread doctors and HE REMEMBERS STILES!!!!!! stiles got taken by the ghost riders and if you get taken you get erased from everyone's memory and basically reality. ans since he was in hell he . remembers him. and he also has exclusive information on the person liam ans hayden brought down with them to test the lightning. hes a science teacher at the high school. but in actuality, theo knows who he really is. i aint got time for all that rn. anyway liam lets him stay on account of knowing who stiles is and the fact he probably does know things.
imagine coming out of literal hell and some bitch is like "you killed your sister" babe one of us is going back down there and it won't be me

What if... the bite killed Liam?
Isaac comes back from France when he gets the call from his mom.
He sees Scott and Stiles at the funeral.
He goes up to them to ask them how they knew Liam and Stiles tells him what happened, and he just breaks down
Jordan comes over and holds Isaac as close as possible while he cries, glaring at Scott while doing so, because he somehow knows about the supernatural already.
Mason, Brett, and Lori are all there and Mason snaps at Brett because it’s the only way he knows how to handle him being there because Brett left him and Liam alone even though they had been friends basically since birth.
Lori, having kept in touch with Mason and Liam after Brett left them, had asked Brett to take her knowing that no matter how much he protested he would go because he wanted to apologize to Mason at least.
Brett breaking down while Mason yells at him repeating the words “I’m sorry” under his breath until he’s saying it loud enough for Mason to hear him and there’s tears in his eyes.
Mason stopping his rant to just stare at Brett and ask: “If you’re sorry why did you leave us?” Brett doesn’t say anything, he just cries, and this is the most Mason and Lori have seen him cry since Camden died.
Isaac just keeps shouting at Scott and Stiles even though he knows Scott bit Liam to save him.
Scott telling Isaac that hes sorry and he didn’t think about the chance that Liam could’ve died until after he bit him or that Liam was the younger brother he had talked about and letting Isaac yell at him after he says that.
The next time Isaac visits Beacon Hills Jordan takes him on a trip to all the places they visited with Camden and Liam growing up, including their grandad’s grave.
Mason and Brett slowly becoming friends again because they both agreed that it would be better if they had someone to confide in other than Lori and their families.
Jenna breaking down like she had when Camden died at the funeral and when she finds out.
Jordan and Isaac seeing Liam out of the corners of their eyes and knowing he isn’t real, but still trying to catch him thinking it’s his ghost. After a while they no longer see him.
After the funeral Isaac avoids Scott and Stiles until he goes back to France, ignoring their calls and texts, not leaving his mom’s house. He even goes as far as blocking Stiles’ number, but not Scott’s because he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
Isaac sleeping in Liam’s room while he’s at his mom’s home, reading the history books that Liam always talked about so happily.
Jordan carries on Liam’s tradition of visiting Camden’s grave on Camden’s birthday, Liam’s birthday, and sometimes Christmas along with visiting Liam’s grave on those days and the day Liam died.
Scott and Isaac get back into contact with each other after a few years, but Isaac is still a little distant. Until he has a nightmare and has to call Scott because no one else is picking up their phones.
Brett, Lori, and Mason each finding a different place or object significant to the three of them and Liam to place rocks and honor the pact they all made when they were kids. (Mason’s is hidden at the bottom of the tree they all used to climb in the park where he first came out to all of them. Brett’s is in the little hole in the only remaining tree in the backyard of his and Lori’s old house after the fire. Lori’s is on a necklace she’s almost always wearing that the other three bought her for her birthday after scrounging up enough money.)
Brett and Lori end up buying a lot of history books they skim through so they can read them and read to Liam’s grave because they think he might like them. (Mason also does this sometimes.)
@waiting-to-be-lost-at-sea I know this isn’t really what you had in mind, but I can only write angst apparently and it was pretty much the only thing I could think of.

My Future
Derek Hale x OC
Samantha, Stiles and Scott are always joking about the impossible. Who wouldn't when your best friend's dad is the sheriff of Beacon Hills? All jokes stop when they realize the impossible is indeed possible.
Tumblr media
Chapter 39: New Faces and Kaminas
Sam went home, immediately being shouted at by her mother for leaving to go to Mexico without a word.
Uttering that it wasn’t her first time wasn’t a strong thought to tell her mom, so she kept it to herself. After her mom finally quieted down, she properly welcomed her home with a watery smile. Sam could only give a tired smile back.
She was left to freshen up, washing away the blood splatters, dust and dirt from her body, shuddering as every detail came back to her. Derek died and then came back to life. She wanted to kill Kate.
Scott and Kira could’ve died and all she was worried about was saving Derek. She felt guilty. Guilty for making him her first priority while the others were in trouble. She felt guilty and yet something was shouting in her mind to tear Kate apart for causing so much destruction.
The pain she felt in her chest, it felt horrible. She didn’t even take his pain away. She couldn’t. She was in too much shock to do so. Shaking away the thought of his bloody wound, she finished her shower and got dressed, finally exiting her bathroom and laid on her bed.
He was…safe. Everyone was safe. The mute was gone, the deadpool was done, they survived a poisoning and got rid of Kate. She wanted to take it as some type of victory, but…
Her phone brought her out of her thoughts, making her sit up and see Stiles’ face appear on her phone screen. Answering, she laid back down. “Hey.”
“Hey.”, he responds. He doesn’t sound…chipper. Bored, maybe. “You okay?”
She sighs. “I guess.”
She hears his chuckle over the phone. “You don’t sound okay.” He was quiet for a moment. “Wanna talk about it?”
She turned on her side. Did she? Did she really wanna tell him how close she was to killing Kate and making every hunter watch to give a message?
“Sam.”
Sam sighs. “I dunno, Sti.” He sighs in return. “Well, how are you feeling for real?”
“Tired. Confused. Conflicted.”, she says. Stiles made a disapproving huff. “Come over. I still got some pizza left. Let’s talk over that.”
Sam sighs once more. “Okay.”
At the Stilinski residence, Stiles and Sam sat in the living room, eating pizza as they discussed.
"What's really wrong?", Stiles asked. Sam sets her half-eaten slice down. “I… almost killed again. And again, I was stopped because my morals are stronger than my pure instinctual anger.”, she scoffed.
Stiles looked at her, his head tilted a bit. “That didn’t stop you before.”, he says, referring to the nogitsune. Sam frowned. “Because, both you and I were in trouble along with everyone else. Allison died and Aiden was next. He could’ve killed you. If given another chance, I’d do it again.”
Stiles leaned back against the couch. “You’d kill…for me?”
“I’d scorch the Earth over you.”, she says without hesitation.
She looked down. “But I didn’t feel malicious towards the nogitsune. I was…scared. Scared I was gonna lose you guys if I hadn’t done anything. In the end, we did lose in a way, but still. With Kate, I felt like it was karma. Karma for the Hales. Karma for trying to get Allison to kill Scott and Derek. Karma for trying to kill me and I hadn’t even been bitten at the time. I wanted to kill her. Not stop her so she’d see the error of her ways.”
She looked up at Stiles. “I remember beating her face in, trying to make her suffocate. I wanted to torture her… for so long until she was begging me to finally finish her. And the entire time, I was just in pain. Derek’s death changed me, and I can’t say if it was for better or worse.”
He smiled a bit. “You love him.” Her eyebrows furrowed. “I don’t—”
Stiles nodded. “You do. I don’t think you noticed, but I noticed. I think I started to notice when we had to deal with the darach.”
She frowned. Sure, Derek was handsome, loyal and sweet when he wanted to be, and he made her feel like she was on top of the world sometimes, but…
Stiles’ expression shut all of her confusion down as she remembered her actions from their meeting to now. She wasn’t just doing things for her and her friends anymore. She’s been doing it for him too.
“You just now realizing it?”, Stiles asked. Sam shoved him lightly. “Shut up.”, she muttered and sighs. Now that just left her with a new problem. Did Derek really feel the same? With what Isaac said and Derek's recent display of affection… It was confusing to her.
She wasn't supposed to catch feelings. It didn't end well when she did. It wasn't good.
Not that love itself wasn't a pleasant thought, it was the feeling of wanting to be loved sincerely that was the issue.
To know someone was actually infatuated with her, not just for a convenience. But being hurt over and over, it was hard to tell what was sincere and what wasn't when it comes to such a thing like "love".
It was complicated.
Even having to explain what happened to Coach was an issue.
"Then Stiles said that Scott and Kira were stuck in Mexico which is why they missed the game.", Liam explained quickly. "So we went down to Mexico to save them and drive them back out of Mexico and that's why we all missed practice." He finished as Malia nodded along with a nervous face.
Coach looked at Sam, and she gave him a weak smile and shrug. "You went to Mexico because Scott was kidnapped?"
"He's your best player, of course we did.", Sam said.
"Okay," Coach said with a nod. "I believe you."
"Really?!", Liam asked, hopeful.
"Absolutely not.", Coach shot him down. Sam rolled her eyes. She knew he was calling bullshit.
Coach shook his head. "But I've had experiences south of the border that would knock the genitals and ovaries off the five of you."
"Thanks, coach?", Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Still," he sighed and looked at the 5 students. "I'm glad you guys are okay because if anything happened to this one," He pointed at Liam. "And this one," he pointed at Scott. "I've got to be the worst coach ever. Don't make me look bad. He's your responsibility now. Watch over each other, look out for each other. Got it?"
The teens smiled and grinned at Liam proudly. Sam gave Liam a side hug. "We got it.", Scott answered.
"Wilson!", Coach yelled, making Sam jump. "Yes?", she replied.
"You go missing again and I don't know what I'll do. I didn't think I needed a manager until now.", he said, giving her a quick smile before disappearing into his office. Sam smiled and sighed.
The next few months passed by in a blur and the supernatural teens were finally seniors.
Sam, Lydia, Stiles, Scott, Malia, and Kira met up in the library, ready to do the traditional senior scribe in the library. Sam sighed as she waited her turn to write her initials. Scott walked over to her, placing an arm around her shoulders. “What’s up with you?”, he asked.
Sam smiled a bit. “Just can’t believe we’re already seniors. Despite everything, I’m really gonna miss this place.”
“We’re not leaving yet.”, he chuckled, dropping his arm. “Yeah, but these months are gonna go by fast.”, Stiles piped in. ''This isn't vandalism, is it?'', Kira asked Lydia, watching the girl nervously. ''Not technically,'' Lydia replied. Kira wrote down her initials and handed the sharpie to Malia. Malia finished and handed the sharpie to Sam.
She looked at all the initials before pausing. She saw a distinctive D.H. and a smile popped on her face once she saw a P.H. next to it. Sam wrote down her initials before writing a E.R, V.B., I.L., J.W., E.S and A.S. The thought of each comrade she’d come across, knowing they wouldn’t have been able to graduate alongside her and the others made her feel remorseful.
Scott moved next to her, and she handed him the sharpie. He glanced at all the initials she made and gave her a soft smile before writing his and an A.A. He handed the sharpie to another student before moving to wrap an arm around Kira’s shoulder.
The teens went their separate ways, heading to their own classes before finishing up the day and going home. Sam spent her time in her room, meditating deeply. She felt calm for a moment before she opened her eyes to see a hallway.
Instantly, she got defensive. What the hell was happening? They couldn’t catch a break for a moment. She walked through the dark hallway, simultaneously feeling for other people nearby.
She turned a corner and saw a familiar head of brown hair. "Liam…?", she called. The boy turned around quickly, his heart racing. "Sam?", he said shakily.
She walked up to him, placing a hand on his arm. "You okay?", she asked.
Liam swallowed, looking around nervously. "Is this a dream? I don't know what this place is. I don't like it."
"You and me both.", she said and looked around. She paused. A dream? She turned to Liam. "Did you fall asleep?"
He nodded. "I think so. I mean, I'm pretty sure. I took a shower and went to bed." He whimpered. "Don't tell me this is some Freddy Krueger stuff.", he complained dejectedly.
Sam sighed as she looked around. "I'd hope not. C'mon.", she said, leading him around the tunnels, feeling for the other bodies that were there.
She felt nervous as they seemed to be moving faster. Shit.
She practically tugged Liam around to avoid whoever this was. It may have been a dream for Liam, but she didn't fall asleep. Not during her mediation.
Something was off.
Whoever these people were wasn't normal. What the hell was Liam conjuring in his subconsciousness…?
Once they turned a corner, they were met with three figures that wore dark cloaks and gas masks.
Sam backed Liam away from the figures as their goggles stared back at the teens.
"Run, Liam.", Sam told him. "No, not without you!", Liam exclaimed fearfully. Sam pulled Liam away from the unfamiliar figures and dragged him off to a bright light ahead of them.
Sam's eyes instantly popped open as she took in a loud gasp. She looked around her room, seeing how it was dark now.
She instantly turned on her lights, seeing that she was alone in the room. She sensed her house and only felt her and her mom in the house before calling Liam.
Liam isn't picked up, his shaky voice on the other side. "That wasn't a dream… was it?"
"I'm afraid not.", Sam replied. They'd have to tell everyone else later.
The next day Stiles had stopped Sam in the hallways, out of breath.
''Hey, we need to talk.'' Sam looked at him in confusion as they walked to her locker. “About?”, she asked. He leaned against a locker. "You remember Theo from fourth grade?", he asked, and she stopped for a moment to think. Theo from fourth grade…
Sam was a student at Beacon Hills Elementary at the time. She remembered a boy being bullied and was gradually wheezing. Sam had stepped in to help, causing the boy’s bullies to turn on her.
Since then, she hadn't seen the boy.
She frowned before nodding a bit. ''Yeah, well, he's back and he's a werewolf.”, Stiles said, making her look at him in shock. “And there's something I don't trust him. He asked Scott to join the pack yesterday, but I feel like there’s a catch. We need to go see my dad.''
Sam nodded. “Okay.” Stiles was always paranoid and now rightfully so. If he was feeling off about someone, she wouldn’t argue until they found out why.
“I know his family left town around the time Theo was nine or ten,'' Stiles said as they sat in the sheriff’s office. ''His older sister died in an accident when he was eight.''
The sheriff frowned, already annoyed by his son’s antics. ''Please go to school.''
Sam gave him an apologetic smile as Stiles continued to talk, ''Dad, this kid's a werewolf.''
The sheriff nodded at Sam. ''Your best friends are werewolves. You are dating a were-coyote.'' Sam smiled while Stiles rolled his eyes. ''I still don't know what Kira's supposed to be.'', Sheriff said, waving his hand dismissively. ''When the flying monkeys come soaring through the station, you will have my undivided attention. Until then, Sam, please take him back to school.''
Stiles paused, scanning his dad over. ''What did you do?'', Stiles asked him. His dad frowned, confused. ''What?'' His dad asked. Then he looked at himself then back at Stiles. ''What do you mean, ''What did I do?''
Stiles looked at him up and down. ''There's something different about you.'', Stiles said, looking his dad over. ''What are you talking about?'', his dad asked. Stiles walked towards his dad and examined him, much to the sheriff’s confusion.
''What is it?'', Stiles muttered as Sheriff Stilinski looked at Sam with confusion before looking at his son once more.
His dad pushed him back and Stiles frowned at his father. ''For the love of God, Stiles, just go to school!''
Stiles pointed his finger at his dad, ''I will go if you promise to do a full background check of the Raekens.''
His dad shook his head, ''No. You know what? Just because I'm the only law enforcement officer who knows anything about this, does not make it my responsibility to do something every time you have a minor suspicion.''
''You're not the only one.'', Sam muttered, looking at Parrish from the windows. Stiles smiled triumphantly as his dad shook his head.
''Parrish!'' He yelled. The deputy looked up, looking at the three in the window.
The sheriff sent the teens to school after doing a background check and Sam left Stiles alone with Malia to rant. Lydia met up with Sam in the bustling hallways of new seniors and new underclassmen.
“How does the first day of senior year feel for you?”, Lydia asked with a smile. Sam sighed. “Can’t be too bad.”, she replied and looked at Lydia who looked to her left. Sam followed her line of sight and saw an unfamiliar face walk through the halls.
“Who’s he?”, Lydia muttered and Sam shrugged. The boy caught Sam’s eye and instantly smiled, picking up his pace as he walked over to the girls. Lydia glanced at Sam before backing away a bit.
“Hi.”, the boy said. Sam tilted her head in curiosity. “Hi?” The boy chuckled shyly and rubbed the back of his neck. “You probably don’t remember me, but I recognized you.” He held out his hand. “I’m Theo. Theo Raeken. From fourth grade.”
Sam’s eyes widened and she took his hand, shaking it and gave him a smile. He looked so much different from what she remembered. Although, it has been years and he looked so full of life. Probably thanks to the bite.
Who did he get bitten by, anyway?
“I’m shocked you remembered me. Haven’t seen you in a while.”, she said. He nodded, chuckling. “Yeah, well, had to give up the inhaler.”
Sam let out a small chuckle of her own. “It’s good to see you.” He nodded. “You too.”, he said, and nodded at Lydia before leaving. Sam let out a soft sigh before Lydia grabbed onto her. “He likes you.”, she whispered. Sam deadpanned. “Don’t start.”
Stiles wasn’t okay with the new appearance of the Raeken boy. He didn’t trust him at all. Scott did. His dad was no help at the moment. He could only rely on Sam. Sam wasn’t even sure either. What harm could Theo possibly do, knowing there’s a strong alpha in Beacon Hills now?
Sam sat in psychology, bored until the fire alarm went off. The students in her class all looked at each other before rushing out with other students.
Sam left the class and stopped as she saw Liam and Scott entering a class next to hers amongst the bustling students and immediately followed them. She saw the two boys and a girl. Tracy was her name. She stood at a desk in the back of the class with another student standing next to her.
Tracy had her hands on both sides of the desk as she breathed heavily. Scott glanced at Sam as she tried walking up to the girl.
Scott held her back and shook his head. “No.” Sam looked at him in disbelief. “Scott, what the hell is going on?”
He shook his head. “I-I dunno. She’s freaking out.” Sam pulled away. “Just lemme help.” Sam didn’t know what she was gonna do, but any help is good. She took cautious steps toward Tracy, holding out a hand.
She stopped once she saw that Tracy gripped the student's arm who let out a gasp of pain from the vice hold.
''Tracy,'' Sam called, warningly. ''Tracy,'' Scott called.
Tracy stared at the older werewolves, but her eyes held a distant look. Sam caught on as she stepped closer. Tracy’s breath became heavier.
''Tracy,'' Scott repeated as he stood by Sam. They saw as blood dripped from the student’s arm. ''She's hurting me.'', The student whimpered.
''Tracy, let go,'' Scott told her, but she wasn't responding. Sam got closer and heard Tracy muttering as she finally let go of the girl's arm. ''They're coming.'' Sam looked at Scott. ''They're coming for all of us.''
Tracy stood up and took a step forward but fell down on the floor and a silver liquid pooled out of her mouth. Sam knelt down to Tracy, grasping the girl. “Hey!”
Mr. Yukimura appeared. ''We have to get her out of here.'', Kira's dad said. Scott nodded in agreement and helped Sam get Tracy out of the room. They rushed out of the classroom and saw Stiles and Malia at the end of the hall. The couple opened the doors with widened, confused eyes and followed them out.
Scott had them rushing to Stiles' Jeep and struggled to put Tracy in the back of the Jeep without her spitting out whatever she had left in her system onto the seats before piling in.
Once Sam and Malia settled Tracy onto their laps, Tracy’s hand gripped Sam’s and her vision blackened before what she once saw was the jeep, now an unfamiliar room lightened by dimmed, flickering green lights.
She felt stuck. Bound. She looked around and saw a large capsule filled with a green liquid and a bandaged man was in it. To her left, there is a table. She turned and saw three familiar figures with the same gas masks from before.
She felt large hands grab onto her shoulders tightly and she couldn’t scream. She wanted to move. To run. To scream for help. Where the hell was she?
''Stop!”, she heard a voice. It was hers. “Get off of me! Stop!!”, she yelled as she saw one of the figures grab a syringe and aimed it toward her.
''Get her off of Sam!” Sam heard in the distance and the sight of Stiles’ jeep appeared once more. Stiles was driving fast, glancing back at Sam and Malia. Malia took Tracy’s hand away from Sam’s as she panted heavily. Scott looked at Sam, trying to settle her down.
“You okay?”, Scott asked. “Did she do anything? Are you bleeding?? Are you hurt?”, Stiles rushed as he drove.
Sam caught her breath and swallowed. “I’m fine.”
Sam glanced at Tracy. “You saw something, didn’t you? What was it?'', Scott asked. ''I— The other day, I was meditating and I had this vision, but it wasn’t a vision. It was Liam’s dream, but… I dunno how to explain it. We saw these people and they looked weird. They looked like…weird, fucked up doctors. They wore gas masks and cloaks. Tracy just said that “they're coming for all of us”.” She looked at Scott. “This shit’s real.”
Her face turned grim as her eyes widened. “They might be after Liam.”
“What!?.'', Stiles exclaimed.
“They saw my face.”, she muttered. Scott frowned. “I won’t let anything to either of you.”, he promised.
Stiles parked his Jeep in front of the Animal Clinic and the teens got out, carrying Tracy inside the clinic. Deaton walked in front and his eyes widened once he saw Tracy.
''Come on.'' He led them to the back and Stiles and Scott placed Tracy on the metal table. Deaton grabbed a small flashlight and clicked on the button and opened one of Tracy's eyelids as he flashed the light to check her eyes.
''Pupils dilate under normal conditions.'', he stated. Deaton placed two of his fingers on her neck. ''Heartbeat is two-fifty.'' He moved her shirt to the side, checking her shoulder. ''Evidence of an allogeneic skin graft on the right shoulder.''
He fixed the shirt and looked at her lips. ''Now, this silvery substance on her lips is not something I've seen. It almost looks like mercury.''
Her body jerked a bit and Stiles and Sam instantly took a step back, ''Uh…''
''Can't you just give her a shot of something?',' Malia asked.
''She doesn't look to be in any pain.'', Deaton replied. ''I meant a shot to kill her.”, Malia corrected and Sam looked at her with wide eyes. “Malia, we talked about this.”, Sam scolded.
''I generally prescribe to a code of ethics that frowns on such measures,'' Deaton explained.
''Malia, you know we're not going to do that.'', Scott told her.
''How do you know she's not going to kill us?'', Malia asked Scott. ''She makes a decent point.'' Stiles said, pointing at Malia. ''Either way, eventually, I'm going to have to let my dad know that she's here.''
''Agreed.'', Deaton agreed with a nod. “And while I may argue against euthanasia, I'm not opposed to a little…'' He trailed off and grabbed a jar that has a small symbol on it. ''Extra security.''
He opened the jar, throwing out mountain ash. Stiles frowned at the substance. The supernatural teens couldn’t get out, but he could. It was a bad idea. Deaton noticed the worried look he has on his face, ''Don't worry, Stiles. Tracy won't be able to cross a line of Mountain Ash.''
''She won't go anywhere.'', Deaton assured. ''Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of.''. Stiles said.
''She's an experiment.'', Sam suddenly said. They looked at her as she stared at Tracy. The syringes, the gas masks, the weird outfits, the room… It was more than suspicious.
''What kind of experiment?'', Deaton asked and Sam shook her head. “I don’t know. But the vision I saw and Liam’s dream… Wherever she was before this, they were experimenting on her.” Deaton frowned as he looked down at Tracy. ''Stiles and I will only be the ones able to get out if something happens. You three,'' He looked at Malia, Scott and Sam, ''not so much.''
“Yeah.”, Sam muttered. Malia frowned and turned her head and moved her hand toward the barrier. Once she couldn’t get her hand through, she pulled away. ''Weird.''
''Scott, would you mind holding her down?'', Deaton asked the young alpha as he grabbed a scalpel. ''I'm going to try a few more invasive tests.'' He placed the tool against her arm and pressed against the girl’s skin but couldn't get through it. He frowned and pressed the knife once more, but it broke in half. He held it up and stared at it in shock.
''I think you're gonna need a bigger blade.'', Stiles stated. Sam frowned and leaned against a wall. What were they? Why were they so threatening? What were they trying to test?
''Now, that's interesting.'', Deaton said, snapping Sam out of her thoughts.
Scott's phone vibrated and everyone looked at him. ''What's up?'', Sam asked. Scott looked down at his phone.
''It's my mom. She's saying that driver’s awake and talking.''
Scott's phone vibrated again and her read out loud once more. ''Driver didn't have a stroke or heart attack. Says it was more like his body just locked up…''
''Like he was paralyzed.'', Stiles stated. ''I think I know what she is.''
Sam sighed in frustration, hoping it wasn’t what she thought it was. ''Do you care to enlighten the rest of us?'', Deaton asked him. ''Because this doesn't look too good.''
''Please, don't let it be another fucking Kanima.'', Sam groaned and walked over to the metal table as Deaton lifted her shirt up. The teens watched the girl's spine move.
Sam’s face scrunched a bit. “Well, that’s just nasty.”
Deaton poked Tracy's spine with his finger as it continued to move under her skin. Suddenly an opening of her back burst and blood splattered on Scott, Deaton and Sam, much to the girl’s disgust. Sam took a shocked step back, stumbling on her feet as she fell down.
She ducked and watched as Tracy moved upwards, then a tail came out her back and hit Stiles in the face. Groaning, Stiles fell onto the ground, before the tail hit Deaton in the face.
Sam’s body felt stiff before she finally fell backwards. ''I fucking hate those things.”, she muttered after Tracy left, much to everyone’s shock. “It didn’t work!?”, she yelled.
Sam watched as Scott collapsed on the floor next to her.
''Not a werewolf.'', Stiles said. ''Hey, uh, Deaton. How the hell did she get through the mountain ash?''
''I don't know.'', the vet answered. ''So she is an experiment?'', Sam muttered.
''I don't know how they succeeded if she was. But this is breaking the rules of the supernatural if she is.'', Deaton explained. ''Because it's a barrier no supernatural creatures should be able to cross.''
''Scott did it!'', Stiles and Sam said.
''Once, but it almost killed me.'', Scott told them.
''We should've killed her.'', Malia growled angrily. ''Meanwhile, she's probably on her way to kill someone else.'', Stiles muttered.
Deaton spoke up, ''Listen, everyone. We need to concentrate. Scott, Malia and Sam, you three will probably be able to move long before Stiles and I can. But you need to focus.''
''Healing.'', Scott answered. ''That's right.'', Deaton agreed.
''I don't know how to heal my body yet. I was only able to heal Aiden.'', she said and Malia agreed.
''Malia, calm down. It's okay…'', Stiles assured. ''I can't calm down.”, Malia huffed. "I can't move.''
''It won't last long.'', Scott told her. ''We're going to be okay. Doc, how do we focus?''
''Think of a body part.”, Deaton said. ''Your hands, your feet, even just the tips of your fingers.'' Sam closed her eyes and took a deep breath. ''Imagine them moving. Set it in your mind and your body will follow.'', Deaton encouraged.
Sam felt her body moving and heard a gasp. Her eyes popped open once she saw she was standing up. A small black blob floated in front of her face and she looked down. Her body was wrapped around a dark, nearly sheer liquid-like substance that kept her upright. Her feet weren’t even touching the floor, but it was a start.
“That’s…something.”, she heard Deaton say. Sam chuckled and felt her toes before wiggling them.
''Okay, unfair.'', Stiles complained. ''I'm pretty sure I felt my right leg move.'' He let out a groan. ''Uh, yeah, definitely felt it. Like a twinge, spasm, something.'' He let out another groan.
''I'm going to have to disagree,'' Deaton told him, whose legs were laid close against Stiles’. ''And I think I hold an informed opinion.''
''Malia.'', Scott said, and Sam turned to look at Malia. Her eyes widened. “I can move.”, she muttered before dropping to the floor, unsteady.
''I don't think she cut me that deep.'', Malia told them as her fingers wiggled. Deaton encouraged, ''Keep going. Keep moving.''
She let out a groan as she was able to move her arm. She gripped on the cabinets behind her and pushed on them, so she could stand up.
''What's happening?'', Stiles asked. ''I can't see.''
Sam was able to get the feeling back in one of her legs as she watched as Malia grunted in pain once she steadied herself. Malia stood up and she grabbed the table as she almost fell back down on the floor. ''Malia, hold on!'', Sam exclaimed.
''There's no time.'', Malia protested.
''Look, she's not a werewolf.'', Stiles said, panicked. ''But she has a scent.'', Malia countered. ''I can find her.''
“You’re definitely not going alone.”, Sam opposed. ''Malia.'', Scott said and she looked at him. ''Save her.'', he said, making Sam look at him in disbelief.
She grunted as she slowly reached for the door, then took off. ''Guys, I can move my toes.'', Stiles declared.
Sam turned to look at him. “You might wanna move faster.”, Sam said and felt a hand on her shoulder, quickly turning around to see Theo Raeken. “You okay?”, he asked. She absently nodded.
“What the-” Theo went to help Scott up before helping Stiles up. ''How did you find us?'' Scott asked. '''Cause you work here.'', Theo replied, getting Deaton up. ''I heard about Tracy; I've been looking for you two.''
''We lost her.'', Scott said to Theo. ''And Malia.'', Stiles added.
''I can help.'', Theo reassured. ''Let me help.''
''We don't need your help anymore.'', Stiles retorted. ''They’re at the Sheriff's station.
''Okay, well, who's going to drive?'', Theo asked. ''None of you are in the best condition to drive.'' Scott looked at him. ''Look, it doesn't have to mean I'm part of the pack. Or like you accepted me or anything like that. It just means I can help catch this girl or, well, at least, let me drive you there. I can help to stop her.''
Scott looked at Sam then at Stiles, who just gave him a look. Scott looked unsure. ''Scott. I can help you.'', Theo repeated. Sam’s eyebrows furrowed. He was persistent… Much like her when Scott first got bitten, just like Liam… but it wasn’t pressing. Like he was looking for something.

Part 1 of 50 Prompts of Healing!
1. Scott refuses to believe Theo when the guy starts going on about how Stiles brutally murdered someone. That’s his brother that Theo’s talking about, after all! In fact, Scott needs to get to Stiles right now, because if it is true, it’s obviously some side affect from the Nogitsune. There’s no way Stiles murdered at all, he needs to find out why Theo is trying to, to say all these crazy things and— Scott needs to check on Stiles. He remembers the other times he hasn’t.
2. Scott starts to like the way taking somebody else’s pain feels. He would never kill, he’s not built for that. He knows it’s cowardly. But taking the pain away is the least he can do for failing Allison and not being able to save her, it’s the least he can do for not being a good enough Alpha to notice Stiles’ losing his mind to the Nogitsune. It’s so easy to just hold the hands of whoever he has left. It’s easy to rest a hand on   Stile’s and Kira’s shoulders after a rough lacross game. It’s easy to swindle a high five out of Lydia when he notices her having headaches. It’s easy to take the pain away without them noticing. Strangely, after the Nogitsune, Scott finds it easier and easier to siphon away the ache of those arond him.
3. Scott really did mean well, it’s not his fault that he’s the hot girl! He was trying to help, damn it, and helping means making sure Stiles’ crush knows how great Stiles is! Scott tries to be a wingman for Stiles, but it just ends up with Derek thinking Scott and Stiles are together. Derek is a little confused.
4. Stiles travels back in time to after season one. He decides the best way to fix everything is by doing it by himself, so he fakes his death or goes missing.  Stiles did not factor in how Scott would react. It’s hard to control yourself when your anchor dies, even if you didn’t realize the person was an anchor. And soon, Scott's eyes are looking awfully blue. (Bonus points for wholesome Derek-babysitting-vengeful-and-angry-Scott).
5. To infiltrate a gang or some sort of supernatural society, Stiles and Scott have to pretend to be the darkest versions of themselves. Cue Scott acting like an asshole alpha who kills off useless pack members and Stiles acting like the Nogitsune with just a bit more sass. It’s oddly therapeutic for both of them.
6. Stiles’ dad is struggling to pay the bills. So is Scott’s mom. But Theo recently just moved out of his room at the Mccall house and the office downstairs isn’t really being used…Stiles and Scott living together shenanigans. Give me confused classmates, soft Mom Mccall for Stiles moments! Protective Sheriff Stilinski for Scott's moments!
7. Scott travels back in time to fix some things. It’s awfully suspicious to everyone else, especially after the fiasco of Void, when Scott starts insisting on killing, turning, or stalking certain people. A somewhat dark!Scott concept only, everyone (read: Stiles) is a little disturbed by it.
8. Stiles is struggling with feeling real after the Nogitsune leaves. Scott is there to help him count his fingers. Meanwhile, all Scott can think about is how easy it was to sink his claws into his friends’ necks. Or! Five times Scott helps Stiles feel safe to be around and one time Stiles helped Scott feel safe to be around.
9. Stiles just wants to be a supportive friend! And Danny always seems to know what going on too, so why would Stiles question it?  Stiles doesn’t know Isaac moved in with Scott. All he (and Danny, apparently) sees is them being around each other all the time, Isaac glancing at Scott all the time. Them just being Scott and Isaac now. Any good friend would do what Stiles did! Which is, of course, try to needle a confession of Scott like-liking Isaac and insisting that Scott can “Talk to me about anything, bro, I love you, dude,”
Alternatively, the above prompt but it’s Stiles and Derek with Scott trying his darndest to be supportive.
10. Stiles and Scott both time travel. Derek is so confused as to why there are kids on his doorstep insisting that there is, apparently, “An earthquake about to happen and you and your family need to come with us right now, promise, trust us, c’mon, let’s go!”

A Quiet Night (Not in the Cards) by Delightful_I_Am - (Rating: T, Words: 4369, sterek)
"Derek fucking Hale!"
The shout rang through the bar and for a long moment nobody moved. It was like something out of a movie. Everything just stopped; the music cut off; one of the servers had frozen mid-pour. Grady would have laughed if he weren't holding his breath. The kid straightened his shirt, a glimpse of stomach showing the curling edges of a tattoo on his hip, and strode toward where Hale was sitting in the dark corner. As one, every supe in the place turned to see Hale's reaction; the last person to try to confront Hale in here had left with a broken hand and a whispered threat that the next time Hale would rip their throat out. With his teeth. Unsurprisingly, Hale's face was set in its usual glower, although it seemed a bit softer around the eyes. It took Grady a second to realise Hale knew the kid.
Full Stop by sparkandwolf (thatnerdemryn) - (Rating: G, Words: 645, sterek)
Stiles wasn’t sure if he would ever get used to the sight of a shirtless Derek Hale in his bed. He wasn’t sure how he got lucky enough to see it as frequently as he did, either, but he decided early on in their relationship that he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
That's Debatable by cloudsarefluffy - (Rating: Mature, Words: 16702, sterek)
Stiles is known for not being a run-of-the-mill omega.
He’s mouthy, stubborn, strongly opinionated, and he doesn’t appreciate egotistical alphas in the slightest. In fact, he’ll tell them exactly where to shove it— . . . if he could. Sadly, when you’re in a Contemporary Issues class at school with a teacher who loves write-ups, one must curb the tongue to some degree.
Even when lacrosse star and alpha Derek Hale is being a massive asshole, and continues to argue with Stiles every chance he gets.
Cupid's Rejects by alisvolatpropiis - (Rating: Not Rated, Words: 1590, sterek)
Just a short lil' bit of V-day fluff, partially inspired by my current ER binge!
I am a doctor...but I am not a medical doctor! My apologies for any inaccuracies on that front, and please, for the love of Hoechlin's beard, if you ever experience an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately!!
Much love to you all, and Happy late Valentine's Day!
At Home Under the Moon by wanderingeyre - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 18425, sterek)
There is no doubt in Derek’s mind that this fox is alone, in trouble, and needs to come home with them, with him. Derek takes a risk and lets his wolf go, calling his human side forward as he shifts. The fox barks in alarm and scrambles back to the bushes. Derek kneels and holds his hands out palm up.
Derek pushes power into the next words and lets his eyes go red. “I promise. You’re safe. No one will hurt you.”
The Perfect Pack Mom by halcyon1993 - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 4444, sterek)
Derek gets turned on by how good Stiles is at being Pack Mom and just has to take him.
The Disaster Triplets by wyrmwolf - (Rating: T, Words: 1083, sterek)
Derek really wishes his Beta’s would stop getting Stiles drunk for their own amusement. They didn’t have to deal with a handsy Stiles when he got drunk, and boy could that guy talk when he was under the influence.
New Version Of The Old by GotTheSilver - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 3309, sterek)
“I think I’m going to have to shave it off,” Derek says softly, his fingers rubbing against Stiles’ hair. “The pixies really did a number on you.”
“Pixies are assholes,” Stiles grumbles, meeting Derek’s eyes in the mirror. “I haven’t had a buzzcut in years,” he says wistfully. “Figures it’d be because of supernatural beings. Back to looking like a nerdy teenager I guess.”
Blind Date With A Book by thepsychicclam - (Rating: Mature, Words: 30361, sterek)
Stiles thought the Blind Date With a Book trend was a great way to drum up business for his small bookshop. He definitely thought it was a great idea after the hot guy kept returning and buying more blind dates with books.
Derek didn't know how he kept getting set up on blind dates by his family, or why he kept going on them. The highlight of his night was when the date was over and he could go to the little bookshop in town and buy something to read for the rest of the night. He wanted to read, not date.
Love in an Elevator by mikkimouse - (Rating: Mature, Words: 1718, sterek)
Stiles is angry with Derek, and he'd be happy to never have to talk about why. However, they're also stuck in an elevator for the next half hour.
And Stiles is really bad about staying quiet.
