Background:

She was born in Los Angeles, California to Timothy and Olivia Hastings. Growing up, she had a good childhood and always being a nice kid she is. She would always hung out with her father while her mother works, he teached Charlie how to skateboard at the age of 10 and she would skate almost everyday to improve her skill and make her father proud, not that he asked her to. When she was 14, her father died due to a car crash. It was a drunk driver who killed him and her life is pretty much trash now (her opinion), she's not the same ever since. Three months later, her mother got married to a guy named Richard Delaney. He's not a douchebag but Charlie still doesn't like him because he's just trying so hard to become a dad to her and it doesn't work on her. After her 15th birthday, Charlie and her parents moved to Bullworth, New England much to Charlie's dislike. The reason why they moved it is because the stepdad and the mother wants to start a fresh new life somewhere and wants what is best for Charlie. She's the third transfer student in Bullworth alongside Jimmy Hopkins and Frankie Marino

Personality:

she's sarcastic, always makes remarks about other cliques and the people she doesn't like. She's also protective over someone who's getting bullied but most of the time she doesn't notice due to her always wearing her headphones and listening to music. She's a bit of an introvert, she doesn't want anyone to talk to her (except her mother) but sometimes she does want someone to talk to her because she doesn't want to be loner. She's wary about other people as she doesn't trust people easily and will be judging them harshly (but not too harsh except for Gary Smith), she has the same opinions about most of the people she met and it is all of them are 'weirdos' and 'dorks'. She can be mad easily if people talk about her late father in a rude way or joking about her dad, she would give them the middle finger or yell at them, she also can get mad easily if someone treats her badly or bullies or being a overall bitch towards her. She's honest about everything and it can anger someone or hurt their feelings. She's nice, not overly nice like Frankie but she's still nice. Sometimes giving them advice, even if it's bad and helping them with something unless it's hard or she's just lazy to do it. She sometimes answers people with short responses like she wants them to stop talking to her (which she wants... Only sometimes though if they annoyed her), this can make people feel a little annoyed or irritated by this and she just doesn't care. She's always on her own little world when she listens to music through her headphones, blocking away from the real world and it's people and their problems but she would be very VERY annoyed if someone takes her headphones away and interrupts her. She's someone who doesn't want to draw attention to herself, she just wants to be by herself after everything she had just gone through (like her father's death that she can't still get over and her mother's sudden marriage to a man that she didn't ask to be her new father) but she does want friends that she can talk to and not wanting to be a 'lonely loser'. She's not very talkative and she tends to be 'rude' towards others but she is however talkative and nice when it comes to the people she's comfortable with or friends with. She's not easy to forgive people unless they're really sincere in their apology, in her mindset she thinks that the people who treat her badly or bullies her just wants to apologise because they're feel bad about themselves, not her

Backstory

It’s hard to ignore the whispers, the stares, the rumors. No one seemed to know what business Charlotte had in Red Creek, but the townspeople thought it was strange, the way she kept to herself, the way she seemed to be entirely able to support herself at such a young age, the way she clammed up at the slightest question about her past. Especially when her story was so simple, so boring- she’d lived in Los Angeles for her entire life, and after an explosive falling out with her family, she decided she’d had enough of the traffic, the heat, and the noise. Years before, she’d been enchanted by an article about northern Michigan in National Geographic, so at only twenty years old, she packed her car and drove thousands of miles away from home in search of a fresh start. It took a few months, but soon she was old news, and people stopped turning to stare when they saw her walk into a room. When she started to publicly date Nathan Talbot, the whispers died off completely. It was disorienting, being accepted into the community almost overnight after months of being the source of such gossip. But more than that, it was a relief to no longer be seen with those questioning, suspicious eyes. Charlotte’s marriage to Nathan only further cemented her in the community, and by the time they’d had their first child, no one could imagine a time that Charlotte wasn’t floating around town, camera in hand. She didn’t know what a blessing it was to be so accepted, so loved- not until the first death.  Hannah Visser’s death affected her in such a profound, almost visceral way. She’d left home to escape chaos, and had somehow found herself in a situation that had her paranoid and terrified, unable to sleep at night. She came home one day, a great pyrenees puppy in her arms, and that seemed to put her at ease. Knowing she had something between her family and the danger kept her anxiety manageable, and she’s kept a dog of some kind in the house ever since.  Charlotte’s adoration for her children can be seen around every corner at her home- pictures all over the walls, sitting in frames on dressers and side tables. She would do anything to keep them safe, and they are at the forefront of her mind. She may not have always been perfect, but she feels she did the best she could.   Around town, Charlotte can be found every morning at early rise bakery, a lakeside grill on the weekends, and on her twice-daily walks around town with Bear. Photography is a huge talent and passion of hers, and working at the register is more about keeping busy and staying creative than making a living. She’s not entirely comfortable in front of a camera though, only having photos taken when absolutely necessary. Occasionally, she’ll sell prints of her favorite photos around town, but never online. 

Wanted Connections

With Charlotte and Nathan being privately separated, it would be fun to have a lil thing on the side to spice things up, as a treat. It would probably start slow and accidentally, since she really doesn’t want to make waves, but could eventually turn into full-fledged sneaking around. -temporarily unavailable due to recent unpleasantness in red creek  Her group of friends, people she meets at the bakery every morning. Probably close-ish friends, people she can gossip and bitch with. I picture them having a book club, but it’s just an excuse to go to each other’s house and drink wine. A true bestie. Probably the only one who knows about her separation, and knows more about her than anyone else, really. This would have to be someone she trusts with her entire life, since she is a very closed book. Likely someone she’s been friends with since she came to Red Creek. "Adopted" kid- Someone in the community that charlotte has taken under her wing. It could be one of her children's friends, or just a young person that doesn't have anyone around for them. She probably invites them over for dinners, brings them baked goods and little presents, just generally tries to be a positive mother figure to them. This could be a long-standing connection that has taken place since they were young, or is relatively new! Fellow dog-walkers!! Charlottes’s dog has a lot of energy, so she gets her daily exercise in with two walks a day. Scary dog privilege is a lot of work! It’d be fun if this was a newer connection, someone she didn’t interact with much before she started taking a new route, or something like that. Now they purposefully go out on their walks at the same time!  a ghost from her past- a super secret connection that i would love to have, but am very hesitant about adding because it comes with some asterisks. might delete idk but if you'd be genuinely interested.... lemme know

This was largely inspired by the recent Forging Bonds event, wherein Charlotte just fucking hates Virion apparently. I think the most exciting aspect of creating a Summoner OC for most people is letting them interact with their favorite characters, but making your favorite characters interact with each other is even more appealing to me. 🥰🥰🥰

As a Certified FEH Pass Subscriber™, Summoner VickyT gets the luxury of choosing five characters to S-rank. Since FEH is technically an isekai, I thought it would be funny to treat Summoner VickyT as an otome/reverse-harem protagonist - she isn't necessarily tied to any one character, but she is courted by many...or something like that. I'm using shoujo manga I've read as a guide. 🙈

Some extra notes on each character:

Lon'qu: One of VickyT's retainers. Warms to the summoner slowly. Respects Yukimura as the one calling the shots. Gets annoyed by Virion's antics but ultimately enjoys his company (even though he would never admit it). Extremely wary of both Anna and Charlotte.

Virion: VickyT's first summon and one of her retainers. Treats Charlotte and Anna like a gentleman would. Simps for the summoner. Plays chess with Yukimura. Becomes (one-sided?) buddies with Lon'qu but maybe also sees him as an obstacle.

Yukimura: VickyT's advisor. Protective of the summoner. Values Lon'qu the most since he's the best fighter. He also enjoys chess time with Virion, especially since Virion's tactics are reminiscent of the ones Yukimura used to employ when he was younger. Is very aware of Charlotte's true personality and strength. Purchases trinkets from Anna, but always negotiates a fair price. He's ultimately the one calling the shots, since he's a better tactician than the summoner.

Anna: Works alongside VickyT managing the finances for the Order of Heroes. Anna gets along very well with Charlotte. She wants to try to sell Lon'qu a potion to help with his fear of women, but AS a woman hasn't figured out how to approach him to initiate the sale. Easily scams Virion.

Charlotte: Additional bodyguard to VickyT. Charlotte hates Virion's guts. She has tried to court Lon'qu but failed on account of Lon'qu being Lon'qu. She gives up the pursuit when she realizes Lon'qu is just a regular swordsman anyway (even if he DID become a Khan someday, he'd still have to compete with another Khan for power eventually). She avoids Yukimura since he discovered her secret strength.

Hello, world! My name is Sophia (Christensen) Wagner. I’m a young wife, a mama of two and a Christ follower. We belong to Brindleton Bay Baptist Church, and I'm proud to say we're regular attendees.

My husband, Colin, was the only child in a God-fearing family. His parents struggled with infertility, but always impressed upon their son the importance of keeping your heart open to any children the Lord gives you! I wish I could say I had the pleasure of meeting the people that raised this wonderful, Godly husband of mine, but the Lord took them from us in a car accident soon after Colin and I started courting. I’m so grateful the tragedy brought us closer to each other and God, rather than the reverse.

I can’t give such a glowing report on my own parents. I never knew my father, but my mother was a sinful woman who cared more about partying and defiling her body than her own daughter. For most of my childhood I bounced between foster homes and short stints with various relatives, and I eventually went to live with my maternal grandmother at the age of 13. She was the first person to introduce me to the Word! I didn’t take to it for a long time, but once she passed on I joined a Bible study group at Britechester to feel closer to her. That’s when I finally committed myself heart, body, and soul to the Truth! I met Colin at the very same prayer meeting— God’s plan is so perfect.

Once we graduated (him with a Business degree, me with an Early Childhood Education degree!) we got married. With his lack of living family members and my lack of saved family members it was a small crowd, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

We now live in a beautiful three-bedroom home that Colin inherited from his parents. Colin’s salary meant I could give parts of the house a much-needed refresh in the early days of our marriage. We were lucky our contractor finished the renovations in record time, because it didn’t take me long to find out I was pregnant!

At the beginning of my second trimester we found out I was pregnant with twins(!), and exactly sixth months later (on my due date!) I gave birth to our beautiful daughters, Charlotte Sophia and Sadie Christine Wagner.

The Witch and the Beast | WIP Intro

Hi, folks! After ages, I'm finally introducing this project I've been mentioning for months! It really shouldn't have taken me this long to post this, but I'm a busy perfectionist.

The best way I can describe TWATB is if Once Upon a Time and The Vampire Diaries had a child. Hopefully a better written one. It's mainly a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but in book 1 you can see hints of other fairytale characters and, in book 2, all new characters come from different stories. Yes, it is a series, it seems I'm physically unable to write standalones.

Plot

After a nuclear war set technology back and filled Earth's atmosphere with gas clouds that black out the sun, vampires came out of the shadows and subjugated the humans.

Rosebelle Fortier wishes to escape the small French village where she lives, unable to pursue her thirst for knowledge and tormented by a vampire who wants to make her his. Ro's wish comes true with a catch when she offers herself as prisoner to a half-human, half-wolf Beast and his siblings to save her father's life.

Before he angered the wrong witch, Adam ruled the Kingdom of Alsace. Now, he's a monster trapped in his own castle and by a curse that will only break if he learns to love and be loved back. Time is ticking by and, even when a girl stumbles on his path, Adam knows there's no hope: no one will ever love a beast.

As a hidden threat forms, Ro and Adam must come into their own power and fall in love, all before time runs out.

Setting

Like I mentioned in the plot, TWATB is set in an unspecified future, after a nuclear war. As a consequence, the planet is cocooned by a thick cover of gas clouds that block all sunlight. Vampires, who had previously been considered a myth, came out of hiding and started ruling over the humans. Besides that unfortunate implication, lack of sunlight also means the climate is colder and living conditions are dire. The story is set in France, but now it looks like Siberia.

The war also set technology back a couple centuries, before the discovery of electricity. There's gas lamps, railroads (not many, because, y'know, lots of ice and snow), zeppelins. And, of course, I couldn't resist the steampunk/Victorian aesthetic.

But that's not all! Even though I'm not sure how much will come across in book 1, since it's set at the castle for 90% of the time, there's more to the setting than "steampunk but cold". I've built a vampire-centric society with its own rules and spent a bunch of time researching what effects the absence of direct sunlight would have, to make everything as realistic as possible.

No one knew when or where the Guthries came from, but no one questioned it. After all, everyone knew of them. Of course they did. They were the kind of family that made people turn their heads just by entering a room. They looked as if they’d stepped out of a painting—too striking, too still, too perfect.

Their appearances were split like night and day, some were pale as moonlight, with hair as white as bone and eyes as blank as a canvas. Others were cloaked in the midnight hue of raven hair, their eyes deep and dark as voids. Together, they seemed touched by something beyond the ordinary—almost otherworldly.

They were perfect.

Irene 11 Guthrie:

Irene II Guthrie was the first born. She was the earth, the nurturing planet, that just gave and gave to everyone until she had nothing left. The mother of her sibling; the backbone of her family. The cold winter breeze that passes whenever you miss the summer sun.

She was perfect.

She HAD to be perfect.

But she wasn’t a son.

She was the perfect mix of both parents, having long pitch black hair with hunting white eyes that held no sign of colour behind them. The way she spoke was as beautiful and enchanting as the way she played the violin.She didn’t rebel. She didn’t speak up. She didn’t dream. She was a puppet carved for her parents pleasure.

Her wants didn’t matter.

Her needs didn’t exist.

Family came first.

Always.

Where others burned or broke, Irene stayed still. Unmoving. Unshakable. She was firmly rooted, a fixed point in their world. That not even the strongest of winds could move her. The one they all returned to. The one who never got to leave. The one firmly rooted where others could find her.

Charlotte Guthrie:

Charlotte Guthrie was born second in line, after failing to conceive a heir at their first time they tried again. Every sigh suggested a son would come, but they got her instead. For the longest time, she did try. Tried to be what they wished for. Tried to obey all instructions given to them.

Tried to be good enough.

But the good words never poured in, and in the end, she ceased all attempts. It didn’t break them. Instead it lit something in her, a raging fury that couldn't be controlled. Compared to Irene, they were a raging typhoon, never calm; never reachable unless you wish to get burned. Without fail, she did everything they told her not to do.

Went to the market unaccompanied.

Raised her voice when it was socially inappropriate.

Spoke truth into spaces that sought to silence her.

Where Irene was the serene chill of winter, Charlotte was the hurricane capable of ripping windows off their hinges. Unlike her sister, Charlotte was the carbon copy of their father. Short raven like hair, void like eyes, and a deadly glare. Emotions poured into her, wild and uncontrolled yet undeniably raw.

Not soft. Not silent.

But impossible to ignore.

Since being of age, she no longer accompanied the family on outings. They didn't bother to fit in, after all, solitude was a far enjoyable company than the people who were always present. She passed the time by playing the piano or by playing chess with the only person they found tolerable, Estella

Frederick 11 Guthrie:

Frederick II Guthrie came third in the family but was the first son. The long awaited heir, and for better or worse, this fact changed everything.

He became the golden child.

The prodigal son that parents dreamed for. The child who put the family name back into business. The man who whenever smiled, caused people to swoon.

If Irene was mother nature and Charlotte was a hurricane, Frederick was warm and gentle, a sunray breaking through a prism — stunning, radiant, and hard to look away from.

He smiled, and people listened.

He spoke, and rooms leaned in.

He was charm wrapped in silk, laughter ringing from balconies, the center of every conversation and the favorite of every stranger.
