July, 2017, four months until destruction.
“Hey,”
A hand rests on your bare shoulder. You turn, smiling warmly at Barry Allen’s taller figure, “You look great,”
“Thanks,” Your breath is light, hands running down the front of your sweater-like dress, “Iris helped pick it out,”
Barry then glances over to said woman and the rest of the group, who, too, were dressed up from the event of HR attempting to reopen STAR Labs, “Hey,” He repeats, nodding his head over his shoulder, “I need to show you something,”
“Okay,” You nod back, glancing at your friends grouped together before following your friend at a slow pace, “What is it?”
Barry leads you into a hidden room. A room you recognize that used to be Eobard Thawnes, which worries you as to why he has brought you into the room of your old enemy.
With a click to the button on the single stand, Barry steps back to allow a projector to arise, showing both you and him an article, “Look at this,”
“The Flash vanishes after Crisis,” Your brows pinch as you glance to him, “I don’t understand. What am I looking at?”
“An article. From the future,” Barry starts, eyes flicking back up to the projector, “Look who wrote it,”
Your eyes move to follow his gaze, “Written by Iris West-Allen,” You lift your shoulders, “Okay? You and Iris get married. That’s wonderful, Bar,”
“No,” Barry shakes his head, “You originally wrote this article. Somethings changed,”
“Maybe I quit,” You sigh, reaching up to curl a strand of hair behind your ear, “I’ve been talking to Cait and Cisco about staying home with (Your/Daughter/Name), it’d make sense,”
“That’s not why it changed to Iris,” Barry can see your irritation as he leads on, your figure turning to face him as if urging him to hurry to his conclusion, “When I threw the Philosophers Stone into the Speed Force, I ran to the future,” He pauses to clench his jaw, “You die, Y/N. I-I saw it,”
“Die?” Your breath comes short, in disbelief as you look back to the article, “From what?”
“Savitar. He was holding you and he stabbed you. Right in front of the whole team,” Barry’s hand raises to his hair, tugging at the locks,
“How long?” Your eyes stare at the floor, hearing Barry’s hum of confusion before lifting your eyes to him, “How long until I die?”
“I won’t let that happen,” Barry steps up, hand at your arm as you clench your jaw, tears glossing your eyes, “I won’t. I swear on our parents lives, I will protect you,”
Your hands wipe at your eyes, hard, “We have to tell the others. I can’t stand to be one of the only ones that knows when we can try to stop it but- what if we don’t?”
“We will,” Barry breathes, “I promise, Y/N. I- we will do whatever it takes,”
“I hope you’re right,” You step back, out the hidden door and to the Cortex and to where Cisco instantly questioned your reddened face.
. . .
“So… all this happened while you were in the Speed Force?” Caitlins questions breaks the silence of the cortex. You can see the gears turning in everyone’s heads. Processing it.
You still haven’t.
“When I threw the Stone in, I went four months into the future. That gives us four months to figure out what needs to be changed and how we can stop him,” Barry exhales, looking to you where you leaned against the Control Panel in silence,
“Y/N?” Cisco speaks up, so you raise your eyes to him across the Cortex. “What’s going through your head?”
You lift a hand, waving it in front of your face with a pinch of your brows, “I’m fine. I think,” You bare down on your teeth at a lump that forms in your throat, “I need a second,”
The team watches as you depart from the Cortex in quick steps. Cisco worriedly follows after you while Barry rubs a hand down his face,
“Hey,” Cisco’s hand catches your wrist, twirling you to face him at the same time you cough out a weak breath, “Hey. Look at me,”
Your eyes look up at him on demand. Blurred with tears, you attempt to clear your vision as his hands raise to your face, wiping the tears from your skin, “You’re allowed to be scared. It’s okay,”
“I’m sorry,” Your whisper is harsh, hiccuping, “I don’t want this to happen. I can’t leave her,”
“We’re gonna figure this out,” He reassures, eyes on yours as his thumbs wiped below your eyes, “I promise,”
You nod, eyes shut when he rests his forehead against yours. His hand raises to the back of your head, hearing his best friend call behind him so you pulled away and wiped your face,
“HR thinks if we go back to the place I saw it,” Barry starts, watching you flinch at the mention, “We can find details that may help us change the future,”
“And how’re we supposed to do that?” Cisco asks, tiredly, “Go back into the speed force?”
Barry’s nod is slow, “You might be able to help,”
“I’m gonna go home,” You sigh, raising your hand to your forehead as Cisco turns back to you, “It’s late. It’s a lot, I think I just need sleep, and I need to see (D/N),”
“I’ll let you know what we find,” Cisco murmurs, pecking your lips before staring at you for a mere second, “I love you,”
“I love you too,” Your smile is weak before you teleport from their vision, Cisco exhaling a deep breath before turning to face his brother in law, “Let’s do this.”
September, 2017, two months until destruction.
Cisco steps into a silent apartment. He drops his keys on the counter with a tired sigh, turning to face the inside of his home.
He sees you sitting in silence. One lamp is on, while you sit on the kitchen counter, hot mug in hand.
He sees the tremble in your hands. As quick as you sip the tea, you set it down, Cisco by now having reached you and stood between your legs,
“Hi,” Your whisper is tired, exhausted, shaking fingers sliding to his sides as his own hold your face, pressing one, two slow kisses to your lips, holding you against him, “Anything?”
Ciscos head shakes weakly. He leans back to look at you, eyes glossy as they searched your face.
Your eyes flicker up to the ceiling upon the rise of tears, exhaling so Ciscos arms slid to hold your waist, gently tugging you towards the edge of the counter, “C’mon,” His murmur is soft, your eyes immediately looking to his face, “Let’s go to bed,”
“Just stay,” Your whisper back is just as quiet, eyes meeting his as he pauses, your hands at his shoulders, “For a second. Please,”
Ciscos nod is short, fully embracing you as your arms tighten around his shoulders and neck, foreheads meeting as your eyes shut. Ciscos thumbs brush your hips beneath your shirt, tilting his head up just enough to press his lips between your brows,
“You know I love you, right?”
“I know,” Your fingers curl in his hair, opening your eyes as he looks down at you, “I love you, too. So, so much, Cisco,”
Cisco ducks down to press a long kiss to your lips, hand holding your chin in place before he pulls back, slowly, lifting you enough to set your feet on the ground, leading you to your shared bedroom, mindful of the toddler sleeping across the hall.
October, 2017, one month until destruction.
“Here’s what I quite don’t understand,”
HRs sudden voice drags everyone’s attention to him. The man stands with a hand to his chin, before he directs it to point to you, “Of all outcomes we have seen, Miss Ramon doesn’t use her powers of- what is it- teleportation, in any of them. Why’s that?”
“The downside to my powers is my emotions effect how I use them,” You explain, quietly, “If I’m stressed or scared, I can’t use them at all. If I’m sad, even really really happy, they glitch and I can teleport anywhere,”
“When I proposed, she teleported to Canada,” Cisco lightens, your smile light as you look at him.
“I have to really be able to focus on my powers for them to work properly. It’s why I almost never use them. This whole thing with Savitar, I’m so stressed I can’t use my powers even if I tried,”
HR nods, eyes drifting in thought. Then what was the purpose of your powers?
He’s realized, there was none.
November, 2017, one week until destruction.
You stand in silence. Your daughter lies curled against your shoulder, dark hair sprawled over her forehead and thumb barely hanging from her mouth.
“Baby,” Ciscos murmur is quiet, your eyes opening to see him now in front of you, one hand at your arm while the other curls (D/N)s hair from her shut eyes,
“You’ve been standing here for a while. You want me to take her?” Cisco extends his hands, questioningly, your eyes fluttering with tears as you shake your head, hand raising to cradle your daughters head.
“I’m so scared, Cisco,” You move your hand to cover your mouth, muffling your violent sniffle, “I don’t want her growing up without a mom. I won’t get to watch her grow up,”
“Hey,” Ciscos eyes are glossy as he steps up, arm wrapping around your shoulders to pull you against his chest, mindful of your child in the middle. His hand slides into your hair, sighing against your forehead, “We’re going to figure everything out, baby,”
You move to the side to lay your child in her crib, twisting to press yourself back into Ciscos front so his arms tightly wound around you, nose in your neck in search for his own comfort.
November 2017, the day before destruction.
You find yourself wide awake. Eyes staring up at the ceiling, you listen to the slight shuffle of Cisco closing your daughters bedroom door, then your own as he moved into the room.
Ciscos quiet as he slides into bed next to you, his arm instantly sliding around your shoulders so you scoot to press yourself against his front, head ducking beneath his chin.
Ciscos exhale is deep, free hand pressed to the back of your head as he presses his lips to the crown of your hair, hearing your sniffle muffle against his shirt. “I’ve got you, baby,” His murmur is breathy, fingers knotted in your hair. “You’re okay,”
Your hand reaches up to grasp his wrist, hiccup loud against the silent bedroom as Ciscos fingers tighten their grip in your hair, free arm around your shoulders to hold you against him.
“I’m sorry,” You lean back, Ciscos eyes flicking across your face as you wipe your eyes, “I’m been so emotional instead of helping you guys figure out how to stop all this shit from happening, and-,”
“And you’re allowed to be,” Cisco murmurs, hand curling a piece of your hair behind your ear. Ciscos jaw clenches, “We’re allowed to be emotional,”
Your hands find their place at each side of his face, pulling him down so his lips meet yours, breathlessly. Ciscos hand slides to grasp your hip, his sniffle causing you to lean back and wipe the tear beneath his eye.
“I love you, you know that, right?” You repeat his words, Cisco smiling despite the tremble in his lip as he nods.
“I love you, too,”
Late November, 2017, the day of destruction.
Time falls still. Team Flash all stand frozen in terror. It happened. It really happened.
Savitar won. All those months trying to change the future was a fail. He knew it.
Cisco’s shout is what drags Barry to speed up and catch your near falling figure. Blood already stained your jacket, body limp against his suited form as he panicked for his best friend.
His sister.
“Y/N!” Cisco’s terrified cry gets closer as his footsteps skid, dropping down at your other side to pull you from Barry’s grasp, “Hey! Hey, baby!”
Tearing his goggles from his face, Cisco’s eyes brim red as his gloved hand held your face to look up at him, your own eyes hazy from exhaustion, but wide in terror.
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Cisco’s thumb brushes over the skin, eyes flicking back and forth across your face, “Stay awake for me, okay? Can you- can you stay awake?”
“Cisco-?” Your lips part in a wheezed breath, lifting your head in an attempt to look at the damage, but Ciscos hand tightens at your jaw, shaking his head as he sniffles.
“No, no. Look at me. Look at me,” His pleas are weak, free hand pressed to the wound so you hiss, “You’re okay, baby. You’re gonna be okay,”
Your head shakes, barely, blinking away the black spots but only causing more. “Take care of our baby, Cisco. Pl-please,”
“You’re gonna be okay,” Cisco begs, Barry’s chest tightening along with his stomach, sure he was going to puke from the nerves. “I’m right here,”
Your eyelids droop, Cisco shaking his head for the thousandth time, “No. No, no,”
Barry can feel his chest caving in. He failed. He knew it. Iris’ hand comes to his shoulder, worried, but he yanks it free, speeding off in fear of facing the now single father.
December 1st, 2017. The day after destruction.
“Kiss mama bye bye,”
Cisco can feel all eyes on him. But his attention focuses on the toddler in his arms, both of them staring at the casket in front of them.
Cisco raises his hand to pat his lips in a kiss, waiting for (D/N) to copy before he leans down, pressing his hand to the wood of the casket. “Kiss mama bye bye,”
(D/N) pats her hand hard on the casket, Cisco standing straight with a teary smile. “There you go,”
His daughter manages to catch the tear that slides down Ciscos cheek, propping her arm on his shoulder to twirl his hair around her small hand, “Why sad?”
“I’m not sad, sweetheart,” Cisco wipes his chin, then brushes his hand over (D/N)s head to push hair from her eyes, “I’m just missing mama, that’s all,”
“She coming back?” (D/N) glances down at the casket before the group around her, thumb now in her mouth to gnaw on.
“I don’t know, baby,” Cisco hates this. He doesn’t know what to tell her.
He inhales a deep breath when Caitlin walks up, her hand squeezing his arm with her own watery smile towards the little girl.
“Are you hungry, mi amor?” Cisco murmurs to the toddler, who only stared at her godmother and reached out to her. Caitlin giggles tearfully as she takes the child, eyes focusing back on Cisco who swallows.
“I’ve got her,” Caitlin promises, Cisco nodding as his jaw clenches, immediately looking over to see Joe and Barry.
“This hurts,” Ciscos breath is airy, voice strained, “So fucking much. We’ve been preparing for the worse since damn six months ago and-,”
“You’re never prepared for it,” Joe speaks, Cisco raising his hands to his face to wipe his eyes, “But all you can do is be there for that little girl,”
“What am I supposed to tell her?” Cisco doesn’t mean to give an attitude, but his emotions are in a whirlwind and his chest is caving. “‘Sorry that you were born into a world where meta humans and evil doppelgängers live that killed your mother’? That’ll go well,”
“Cisco,” Barry tries, quietly, but Cisco shakes his head, eyes now on him.
“Go back,” Ciscos plea doesn’t go unnoticed, “Go back in time. Figure out a way to save her,”
“You know I can’t do that,” Barry’s voice breaks, Ciscos eyebrows pinching,
“You did it for your mom!” Ciscos voice raises, Caitlin worriedly looking over from across the lot, “You did it for your dad! But your sister dies and she’s not worth it,”
“I won’t do it because if I don’t fix it, the timeline could be altered, again,” Barry steps forward, Joe calling for him, “Someone else could be killed. Someone could never exist, your daughter could never exist, there’s too many risks!”
“But you have to try,” Ciscos eyes are brimmed red by now, chest heaving as Barry is forced to watch his best friend break down, “You have to try and bring her back, please. (D/N) lost her mom, Barry,”
“I know, and I’m sorry,” A hot tear slides down Barrys cheek, Cisco shaking his head as he steps back, “Cisco-,”
“Don’t,” Cisco moves back towards Caitlin, hands out to take his daughter again.
“Let me drive you,” Caitlin offers, Cisco nodding as (D/N) curls into his shoulder, his eyes pinching shut at her small embrace.
December 25th, 2017. 26 days after destruction.
“Hey! You made it,” Joes smile is wide when he opens the front door to his house, Cisco and (D/N) in front of him.
Cisco smiles in greet, looking down at (D/N) who held a box, jumping as she held it up to her grandfather. “Papa Joe!”
Cisco takes the box from her to let Joe pick her up, stepping into the house to ruffle the snow from his hair. “If you can’t tell, (D/N) wrapped this for you,”
“You did?” Joe takes the box in his free arm, looking down at it then the toddler, “What is it?”
“You open it, Papa Joe,” (D/N) wraps her arms around Joes neck as he leads her further into the house, where the rest of the group greets the two new arrivals with cheers.
Cisco is greeted by Caitlin almost immediately, her smile warm as she looks him over, “You doing okay?”
“Physically? She’s got a sleeping schedule down to let me sleep a full eight hours,” Cisco jokes, weakly, eyebrows lifting, “Mentally? I’m hanging in there,”
“You know if you ever need me to take her for a day or two I can,” Caitlin reminds, Cisco nodding as his eyes drift to the near two year old.
“I know. But I feel like she needs me. It’s still all new with just us two, so…”
“And that’s okay,” Caitlin ends the conversation to watch (D/N) pat the box she had wrapped, Joe heaving her onto his lap before the box, pulling the bow loose to open the box.
“A picture!” Joe gives the toddler excitement, pulling a piece of paper from the unnecessary box, scanning it, “Who’s all these people?”
As (D/N) begins to list off each member of team flash, everyone else begins to pass around gifts. “This is daddy and mama,” Cisco looks up at this. He remembers seeing her draw every member, but not you. “Mama has ring ‘bove her head cause daddy says she’s a angel,”
“A halo, sweetheart,” Cisco moves to sit next to Joe, pulling (D/N) onto his own lap, “And she is,”
“Well it’s wonderful,” Joe pinches (D/N)s cheek, lifting a box at his feet to hand to her, “Now be very careful unwrapping this one, there’s something special in here,”
Cisco helps (D/N) unwrap the paper carefully like Joe demanded, (D/N) reaching in to pull out a small stuffed bear, older but looking clean nothing less,
“This was your mamas when she was little,” Joe states, Cisco staring down at the plush toy to see your initials on the tie of the bear, “Little bit older than you, but it was hers,”
Cisco smiles at Joe, thankfully, when (D/N) hugs the bear to her chest, holding it up for Cisco to see.
“There’s something for you, too,” Joe informs to Cisco, eyeing the box so Ciscos brows pinch, reaching in like (D/N) had done, pulling out a smaller box. Lifting the lid, he stares down at the gold necklace, on the chain being the first promise ring Cisco had given you when you first began dating.
“I know you don’t wear jewelry,” Joe begins, “But she left it when she moved out and I thought you should have it,”
“Are you kidding?” Cisco swallows the lump in his throat with a small laugh, clasping the necklace around his neck before tucking it under his sweater, “Thank you, Joe,”
Joe nods once, clapping his hands as he stands, lifting (D/N), “Alright, who’s hungry?”
July 2021, three years since destruction.
“I’ve met someone,”
Caitlin instantly looks up at this. Cisco stares at his computer screen, hesitantly looking up to see Caitlin and Barry’s reactions.
“That’s great,” Caitlin breathes, “What’s her name?”
“Kamilla,” Cisco exhales, leaning back in his seat, “I’ve known her for a couple of weeks, now, but-,”
“But you’re scared,” Caitlin tilts her head, “And that’s completely understandable, Cisco,”
“I should be fine,” Cisco sits up, refusing to look at Barry, “Y/Ns been gone for three years, now. But-,”
Again, Caitlin cuts him off, “But you’re worried about (D/N),”
“I’m worried about (D/N),” Cisco confirms, “I don’t want her to think I’m replacing Y/N. Because I’m not! Y/N…” Cisco pauses to swallow, standing up to pace in front of his two best friends,
“Y/N was there since- everything! Since Thawne, since Zoom. She liked everything I loved and I loved her. So much I married her and we had a kid,” Cisco faces the two, eyes glossy, “I still think about her when I wake up, how (D/N) still doesn’t know what truly happened to her mom and how when Kamilla finds out, if we even went further-,”
“Take a breath,” Caitlin places her hands at Ciscos arms, “Kamilla will understand when she finds out, when you’re comfortable enough to tell her,” Caitlin’s lips press together, “You’re never going to fully get over Y/N. She was your first love, and that’s okay. No one’s rushing you to fall in love with someone else. That’s something you choose in your own time,”
Cisco stares at Caitlin, eyes flicking to Barry. Barry nods, smiling warmly. “I want my niece to have a mother figure. And I trust you that you’ll choose the right one capable for that,”
Ciscos shoulders deflate, nose scrunching, “Should I introduce them?”
“I would let Kamilla at least know that Y/Ns no longer here,” Caitlin hesitates, “But I think they would both love that,”
August 2021, three years after destruction.
“So this is the girl you’ve talked nonstop about,”
(D/N) looks up in alarm at the new voice. She sits next to Cisco at the corner booth in Jitters, staring at the coloring page before Kamilla makes an appearance.
“That she is,” Cisco smiles, brushing a curl out of (D/N)s face, “Kamilla, this is (D/N). (D/N), this is Kamilla,”
“Are you my daddy’s girlfriend?” The five year old tilts her head, Kamilla eyes flicking to Cisco so he winced, Kamillas lips pulling into a small smile,
“Only if I have your permission,” Kamilla sits down across of the two, Cisco curiously looking down at his daughter beside him. (D/N) jabs a crayon onto the page, coloring in one of the sunflowers at the bottom of the page.
“Daddy talks a lot about you,” (D/N) glances up at Kamilla, as if looking her up and down. “It’s a yes from me,”
“Very good vocabulary,” Kamillas eyebrows raise as she looks at Cisco, who smiles behind his Jitters cup.
“I’ve been trying to get her to learn some Spanish, too, for when she’s with my parents. (D/N),” He pauses to point at the flower she was coloring, “Que clase de flor es esa?”
(D/N) pauses as she looks to Cisco for help, before she blinks, “Girasol,”
“Sunflower, buena,” Cisco grins as Kamilla giggles,
“You’re gonna need to teach me some, how’s that sound?”
“I can try,” (D/N) smiles as she tilts her head bashfully, picking up her cup of chocolate milk to sip the drink.
Kamilla looks at Cisco, “She looks a lot like you. You did good,”
Cisco smiles, looking down at the child for what seemed to be the thousandth time. “She’s got a lot of her moms looks. Personality, though? All me,”
“Mama used to say I was her clone,” (D/N) grins, nonchalantly shrugging a shoulder, “Mama died when I was a baby,”
Ciscos lips press together, sighing through his nose as Kamilla frowns. “I’m sorry to hear that. I bet she was a wonderful lady,”
(D/N) looks up at Cisco. “Is Papa Joe still coming?”
Kamillas brows pinch, Cisco looking at her. “Barrys dad is coming to pick her up. I just wanted you two to meet before he did,”
“That’s okay,” Kamilla smiles, spotting Joe walking towards the three before she reaches a hand out to (D/N), “It was very nice to meet you, (D/N). We still up for that Spanish lesson?”
“Only if you can keep up,” (D/N) pats Kamillas hand in a high five before turning to Joe, reaching up so Joe took the sign to pick her up.
“I’ll bring her back by the apartment tomorrow morning,” Joe informs, smiling to Kamilla in greet as Cisco nods.
“Ser buena para Papa Joe, okay?” Cisco points to (D/N), who nods, “I love you,” He looks to Joe, “Thanks for taking her,”
Joe nods, waving before he turns to leave the cafe, Kamillas eyes then looking back at Cisco, “I like her,”
October 2021, three years after destruction.
“(D/N), we’re gonna be late, amor, please,”
Cisco finds himself squatted in the middle of his kitchen. His daughter stands feet in front of him, pout on her face and arms crossed, dressed in mixed matched clothes that proved she dressed herself.
“I wanna wear this!” She pleas, curly black hair shaking as she hops on her feet. She wore a neon green sweater, while red and black checkered pants hugged her legs, one foot with a pink sandal while the other displayed a winter boot,
“Baby, it’s almost eighty degrees, you’re going to burn up,” Cisco rises to his full height to step towards his daughter, but she shakes her head, startling Cisco by vanishing out of thin air.
“Holy shit,” Cisco whirls around, shoulders dropping in relief to find (D/N) had teleported to the front door of the apartment, hand on the doorknob.
“We’re gonna be late!” She yells, as if she didn’t just teleport herself across the kitchen, already opening the door with a giggle,
“(D/N), hold on,” Cisco calls, catching her arm before kneeling down again, hands brushing her frizzy hair from her face, “How’d you get yourself across the room?”
(D/N) shrugs a shoulder, head tilted, “Papa Joe said mama had powers, I do too!”
Cisco cant help but blink. When did she find this out? “Okay,” Cisco heaves a deep breath, sticking his hands out to lift her up, “Please let me change you into decent clothes. I can’t have you overheating,”
“Can I wear my Spider-Man dress?”
“Sure. Yeah, you can wear your Spider-Man dress,”
November 2021, three years since destruction.
“So, (D/N) can teleport now,”
Caitlin blinks. That’s new. “What?” Barry’s question is heaved, eyes on his best friend standing with his arms crossed, “How’s that even possible?”
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out myself,” Cisco throws his arms out, eyes on Caitlin in a plea, “Can Dark Matter become genetic?”
“I’ve never heard of a meta child,” Caitlin hums, “But her powers are the same as Y/Ns, so it’s the only thing to make sense,”
“But, Jenna didn’t get Cecile’s powers,” Cisco shakes his head,
“That we know of,” Caitlin states, “Jenna’s still a baby. She can’t even talk yet. (D/N)s in that stage where shes developed more. How’d you find out anyway?”
“She teleported across the kitchen this morning,” Cisco sighs, hand at his temple, “Freaked out because I wouldn’t let her leave dressed like- she dressed herself. Teleported to the door before I could reach her,”
“Baby super hero?” Barry teases, shoulders up suggestingly
“Absolutely not!” Cisco demands, “I’m not putting my five year old on the field, dude,”
“I was kidding!” Barry laughs, “But, seriously. We’re going to have to train her to not just teleport whenever she wants. She does it in front of the wrong people and she could be in danger,”
“Yeah, thanks for calming my thoughts, man,” Cisco groans, “What if her powers work the same way Y/Ns did? Y/Ns powers reacted depending on her emotions. It’s likely to happen with (D/N), too,”
“That’s why we need to train her,” Caitlin soothes, “I’m sure everything will be fine. She’s got the best coaches to train her,”
December 2021, one week until destruction strikes again.
“Thanks for coming to our Earth to help, Y/N,”
Your doppleganger turns to smile at Barry. “Of course. Ramsey was a hard one for us to deal with, but I’m hoping to help you guys take him a little easier than we did,”
“There’s something I should tell you before you meet the team,” Barry’s wrings his hands together, “The you from this Earth, you died,”
“Oh,” You flick your eyes down, glancing to the side. “How?”
“Savitar,” Barry sighs, noticing the surprise on your face, “Is there a Savitar on your earth, too?”
“Was, but yeah,” You nod, rubbing your forehead. “We lost someone too from him. Originally it was supposed to be Iris, but HR took her place. Technology that helped him look like her, and,” You sigh, “Yeah,”
Barry nods, “Ciscos going to react when he sees you. You’ve been gone four years this month, which is terrible timing for us needing you, but,”
“I have to ask,” You plea, “Do we have a kid on this Earth too?”
“You do, yeah,” Barry rubs the side of his face, “(D/N),”
You nod, curling your arms to cross, “We named her (D/N), too. Guess all Earths aren’t so different after all,” You clear your throat, “Let’s get this over with,”
“You gonna be okay?” Barry questions, your nod light before you follow him into the entrance of the Cortex, where Barry clears his throat to gain the attention of five members.
Wally is the first to speak, “Holy shit,”
“I know this might be a surprise,” Barry starts, your chin tilting down when Ciscos eyes begin to burn from staring at you. “But we could really use her help with Ramsey,”
“Of all people, bringing her doppelgänger was the answer?” Cisco now speaks up, your eyes flicking up to him as he stands, “I’ll be in my lab,”
“Cisco,” Barry pleas, your hand raising as you frown,
“Let me talk to him,”
By the time you make it to Ciscos lab- which looked exactly like his on your earth- he has already sat down and stared at a project. “Cisco,”
“I don’t want you in here,”
“Cisco, Barry told me,” You state, “About the me from this earth,”
“Great, so you know that I don’t want you here,”
“Cisco, I understand-,” “No you don’t!” The man stands up almost as quick as he’s sat down, turning to stare at you, actually look at you, “You don’t understand. You look just like her,”
Cisco turns to run his hand through his hair, turning back around, “This isn’t some joke,”
“I didn’t say it was,”
Cisco forces a laugh, eyes gleaming from his labs lighting, head tilting back, “You died in front of me when I told you everything would be okay. I told you we would figure it out and instead you died that night,”
Your arms cross again, letting the man reveal his four year hidden feelings, “And now my daughter has no mom because I lied to you. We didn’t figure it out,”
“You can’t hold onto that guilt forever, Cisco,”
“How can I not?!” Ciscos shout startles you, “How can I not be guilty when you died because I lied to you? We spent six months trying to find ways to save you and every single outcome we had failed. You died, Y/N, and now I’m spilling my emotions to my ex-wives doppelgänger,”
Ciscos hands raise to his head, tugging at the strands as his eyes pinch shut, head ducking down with a heavy exhale.
You swallow. Stepping up, closer to him, you reach out to pull one arm down from his hair, “I’m gonna hug you, okay?”
Ciscos sniffle is loud as he nods, his arms wounding around your shoulders as yours loop around his back, feeling Cisco exhale into your hair.
“I’m so sorry,” Cisco murmurs, your eyes shutting as your bodies lightly swayed, “I’ve tried so hard to be there for her, but she looks just like you and I can’t-,”
“I know,” You sigh, own eyes glossy. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that, Cisco,”
Cisco shakes his head, arms tightening around you as his chin props on top of your head, “How did we save you on your Earth?”
You frown, “I wasn’t Savitars target. Iris was,”
Ciscos grip slightly loosens. “She didn’t die, though. HR did,”
Cisco leans back, wiping his hands across his face with a deep sigh. “I needed that,” He mumbles, dropping his hands to look at you, “The hug. The last time I saw you, you were dying in my arms. I just… It’s hard,”
“I know,” You murmur, eyes flicking downwards to his chest, staring at the necklace around his neck, “You kept it,”
Cisco instantly looks down, clutching the ring on the chain in his hand, “Joe gave it to me the first Christmas after. Along with your old teddy bear for (D/N),”
“Oh, God, he actually kept it?” You laugh with a roll of your eyes, Ciscos smile light as he chuckles, “Hope he doesn’t pop up with it for my (D/N),”
Cisco blinks, “You named her (D/N), too?”
“Of course,” You smile, “We thought of that name before kids were even in the question, remember?”
Cisco smiles, nodding. “Thank you,” He sighs, “I’m sorry for blowing up on you,”
“It was understandable,” You point, “I’d freak if my Ciscos doppelgänger showed up unannounced too,”
Cisco heaves a breath through his nose, eyes staring at you, “She has your powers,” He whispers, head shaking with a weak laugh, “And I don’t know how to help her control them,”
“That’s something we don’t share between Earths,” You hum, Ciscos brows furrowing, “My (D/N) actually has your vibes,”
“Seriously? But I got rid of my powers!” Cisco whines, your laugh light as you nod,
“Trust me, Cisco on my Earth was not happy either,” You pinch your brows, “But, I may be able to help you with your (D/N),”
Ciscos eyes widen in slight panic, “You can’t see her,” His head shakes, “It’ll mess with her head, she knows you’re-,”
“Cisco, calm down,” You raise your hands, moving to his desk to grab his notepad, “I’ll write tips down for you. I’d never do anything to expose myself to my daughter who lost me,” You pause your writing, eyes looking at him, “I promise after everything with Ramsey is handled, I’ll leave,”
Cisco nods, rolling his jaw in thought, “Thank you for being here,”
“I’m sorry for being here,” You answer, “I know it’s hard. I never meant to break the healing you were doing. I just wanted to help my brother in any way or on any Earth that I could,”
“And I appreciate it,” Cisco states, “Even if you aren’t our Y/N, I promise to make sure you get safely back to your Earth,”
You smile, lifting the notepad before handing it to him, stepping to the side to exit his lab.
January, 2022, destruction strikes again.
“She didn’t make it off the table,”
The team of six stand in silence. Cisco feels the emotions all over again, but this time he feels numb at the same time.
Leant forward on the control panel, Ciscos eyes stare towards the lab where you were taken. Ramsey had won. Another one was lost.
“Someone should go to Earth 9 to let her team know,” Iris speaks, hesitantly, eyes on Cisco as his eyes shut, pinched.
Just like four years ago, you had died in front of him again. He knew it wasn’t you, but the emotions were just as hard.
“I can go,” Barry murmurs, Cisco pushing off the desk at the same time to turn around, exiting the Cortex in quick steps.
When Kamilla finds him in his lab, he is staring at the notepad on his desk. “What’re you thinking about?”
Ciscos eyes flutter, glossy as he drops his head, sighing, “How I lied to her again,” He lifts his head, looking at the woman beside him, eyes brimmed red, “I promised her I’d get her back home after Ramsey was dealt with. But-,”
Cisco sinks down into the chair behind him, hands over his face. His hands drop, eyes watching as Kamilla sits in front of him.
“I’m sorry,” He speaks, hands rubbing together, “I thought it’d be easier this time. She wasn’t even our Y/N, and yet,” Cisco shakes his head, hand over his jaw.
“Her team is going to find out she didn’t make it,” His knee bounces, exhaling, “God, her (D/N) doesn’t have a mom now, either,”
“Tell me about her,” Kamilla speaks, softly, Ciscos brows pinched as he looks up at her, “Your Y/N,”
Cisco hesitates, and Kamilla states it’s because with her now helping raise your daughter- Kamilla knew almost nothing about you to talk to your daughter about.
“We met through Barry,” Cisco starts, hands fidgeting together, “She was his twin sister. After Barry got struck by lightning Y/N ran to STAR Labs freaking out- we almost had to kick her out because she barged in unannounced,”
Cisco cracks a smile. “She became a part of Team Flash with us after we learned about Barry’s powers. She was the next one to come up with powers, when we threw a surprise party for her-,” Cisco heaves a weak laugh, “-We scared her so bad she literally just vanished in thin air, turned out she teleported to Spain and managed to teleport herself back to the labs,”
“We started dating and got married in the same year,” Cisco rolls his eyes, “But I loved her. I knew she was the one and I didn’t want to chance letting her go,”
Kamilla notices his eyes start to distance as he stared at his hands, “She had (D/N), and not even a year later was when we found out about Savitar. It was killing her, because she knew she wouldn’t get to watch our baby grow up,”
At his rough sniffle, Kamilla rolls her chair up in front of him to wrap her arms around his shoulders, his head resting against her chest. “It’s why I wanted to get rid of my powers so quickly,” Cisco breathes, Kamilla brushing a hand through his hair, “I didn’t want to chance (D/N) losing her dad, too. Not after I promised to Y/N I’d protect our daughter,”
“Do you remember what we talked about?” Kamilla hums, Cisco slightly leaning back, “About stepping back from all of it?”
Cisco nods, Kamilla tilting her head, “I think it’s time we do that. But only if you’re ready to,”
A long pause, Cisco looking up at her with a single nod, “I’m ready to,”

The Skies Will Break For You

A Canon Rewrite/Au of Iris' time sickness in s7-8 of the Flash. I loved the thought of it, and the setup was a pretty cool idea though the execution left much to be desired (so much potential wasted!) so I decided to try my hand at it. Starts right after Deon tells Iris that she needs to stay in Coast City after Barry leaves in 8 x 10. Very Iris-centric, you've been warned.
Iris finds out about her time sickness and assembles a team to do something about it. Instead of sitting back she decides to take things into her own hands reconnecting with old friends, new friends, and in the process takes control of her story.

I haven't seen anyone come up with a ship name for Iris and Kamilla's friendship yet, so I hereby declare them West Hwang. It's like West Wing, but with a southern accent.

Could you imagine being Barry, getting up off the glass covered floor of his and Iris' home, just barely healed up and watching a person that looks exactly like your wife explode and having to explain to your best friend Cisco that the Kamilla who he's been watching movies with, laughing with, sleeping in a bed with, is a fake mirror version of her and she's stuck somewhere in mirror world with the real version of Iris and Captain Singh and that you don't know how to get to and your speed is depleting...

Kamilla x Cisco for the ask game!
(Re: the last ask…specifically for the bingo ask game 😂)
Tumblr media
(Send me a ship and I'll fill out a bingo card for it.)
So I know you specified the bingo but... I can't resist rambling a bit about these two.
I was very... concerned about Cisco all through season 5. It seemed like he was being set up to leave the show (it's amazing that they did a better job of setting him up to leave when he was staying than they did when he was actually leaving, but I digress) and his sudden reversal on his acceptance of his powers read heavily of bad projection of his break up with Cynthia. So when they brought in Kamilla... I was concerned the writers were trying to shove Cisco back into a relationship too soon.
Now, Carlos Valdes is the kind of actor who can pull off on screen chemistry with anyone, but a believable romantic relationship - which the writers were rushing with these two - takes two good actors. And we lucked out because Victoria Park was absolutely amazing in the role of Kamilla.
So, despite the... interesting writing decisions of season 5, the couple we got in season 6 was stable and healthy in a way Barry and Iris have never completely managed. They trusted each other from the start and building from there they became two people who just fit. And having a drama free couple so clearly in love was a relief to have on the show. They were cute and made heart eyes at each other and supported each other through many trials and tribulations. That we only really got a season and a half of this couple is a tragedy.
(I want them to guest star because Team Flash is visiting them for their wedding, but I think that's a story I'll have to write myself one day.)

I'm enjoying all of this media attention the upcoming Westallen vow renewal is getting. All credit to Leanne over at ET and the diehard fans. And the shade to the wedding crashers of the other ceremonies has been even more hilarious than previous years. Whoever thought Nazis and a double wedding with friends who were hardly friends in the first place with an interracial couple must have been tone deaf af.
A few of the latest articles though have decided to add a bit of shade to Westallen. This one by a woman named Devon at Screen Rant claims Westallen has "tons of disagreements and fights all the time" and that the vow renewal might be seen as "overkill" to some while being "fan service" to others. Wow, so they're not deserving of this uninterrupted ceremony after everything that happened during the Crisis on Earth X crossover? They're not deserving because they are actually one of the healthiest arrowverse ships from comic canon royalty and have been separated too many times by the speedforce and most recently, the mirrorverse? Wow. Wow. Ok. This is why if Andy B or Mae A don't write an article for that site, then the praise with a side of unwarranted shady articles by others over there aren't worth it.
Screenrant is just clickbait trash, most of the time, other than a few people who really make great contributions to the site, including Andy and Mae. I did read that article, though, and OP said that they have had some disagreements and fights, but that they are one of the strongest love stories in the Arrowverse. I agree that they should have not mentioned disagreements, because like... Barry and Iris rarely disagree and literally fought only once, but to be fair, they didn't say "tons of disagreements and fights," and they acknowledged Westallen's strength as a couple.
I do agree that the nonsense about overkill was utterly ridiculous, and like this is my problem with the vast majority of Screenrant contributors. They just say shit that doesn't make sense. Barry and Iris have been through so much these last couple of seasons; they absolutely deserve this moment where they get to renew their vows, especially because they didn't get the wedding that they always deserved to have. Also, calling this fun fanservice is just like... well, did you acknowledge that the karaoke party at the end of 7x12 was also fanservice, given that Iris and Kamilla were completely isolated from the party, when it made no sense, just so "oh tee eff" could get their party? Especially when it actually makes perfect sense for Westallen to renew their vows, especially after all that they've been through, and no character is being excluded from participating/being present for the ceremony.

Harry Wells x Reader Crisis of Infinite Wells (Part 3 of 5)
Tumblr media
**A/N: The picture/edit/gif does not belong to me. It belongs to @countlesswells
Part 1    Part 2    Part 4    Part 5
*Yes, I know this is super late, but I had so many exams and deadlines shifted due to the transition online. Didn’t help that finals were around the corner either. But I’m back, and hopefully I can make things right with my fics, especially with the fact that we’re not going to get the Alls Wells That Ends Wells episode this season thanks to Ms. Rona (Please don’t come after me T.T). Anywho, this ended up being super, SUPER, long and I have no regrets. I feel that we need this series more than ever. If you already haven’t make sure to check out Part 1 and 2. Don’t forget to reblog and leave a comment, I read them all!
Word Count: 6601
You took in a deep breath, simultaneously opening your eyes to find yourself being hovered over by Caitlin and Cisco
“There’s our sleeping beauty,” Cisco jokes, grinning at you before running back over to the monitors to get a screwdriver.
“Mm, it’s too bright here.” You winced and blinked a few times as your brain had finally registered the bright lights of the Speed Lab. Rubbing your face a few times, you moved slowly to sit up. Stretching your aching body, you cracked a few bones and let out a little noise in contentment. Eyes looking around for a bit, you saw that the Mindscape Machine was still out, and that Cisco had hooked you and Nash onto it. Nash was still knocked out on another bed though because of the sedation. He looked peacefully asleep, as if the weight of his expeditions and the murmurings at the back of his head were gone. He should be coming back soon, I hope.
Cisco noticed where your gaze had gone before grabbing your attention, “Cecile had to go back home to feed a fussy little baby Jenna and Joe, so we ended up resorting to the Mindscape Machine. Went smooth sailing, thanks to our very own resident genius engineer, no thanks needed. All in a good day’s work.”
“I figured when you chimed in saying that we needed to go to the Nexus of Nash’s mind to get out.” You pointed out.
“Nash should be waking up in an hour or so, he’ll be fine I promise. How are you feeling?” Caitlin asked softly as she checked you over for any sign of abnormalities before removing the wires from your head.
“Cold,” goosebumps were already breaking out through your body as a shiver goes down your spine. “Really cold, Caity. Can’t you STAR Labs techies afford heat or something?” You joked, watching a look of fake hurt cross Ciscito’s face, a hand automatically over his heart.
“Dude, it’s like beautiful outside and what am I doing? I was stuck in here babysitting Princess Aurora and Pebble Brain over there until you guys came back to reality. You’re welcome for that, by the way,” Cisco made a face, pointing towards the direction of Nash’s unconscious body with a screw driver before walking back to where you sat, “while fixing these bad boys up,” the mechanical genius gestures dramatically to the tech in the room. “Meanwhile, Barry and Not-Mirror-Iris are on a picnic date in Central City Park enjoying the sunny weather. One which I wanted to do with Not-Mirror-Kamilla first.”
You and Caitlin just giggled at Cisco’s dramatics. Caitlin gave you the ‘all clear’ that your neural functions were still working and that you should be coordinated within your own body.
“So, Persephone,” You rolled your eyes at the nickname and shook your head at the two. Cisco had basically dubbed you and Harry that even before you had gotten together. In secret of course, or else Harry would start throwing things at him for dropping obvious hints of his feelings towards you. It’s at least so much better than Romeo and Juliet because in all honesty, they had a tragic love story and that is something that my love life does not need. More tragedy, internal pain, and suffering. “Did you see your Hades again?”
“I did, yeah.” A soft smile crossed your lips as your mind replays the interaction, your cheeks dusting the lightest color of pink. Your gaze dropped down a bit as Cisco and Caitlin started going “Ooooooo” as if high school gossip girls wanting you to spill the beans while giving you that one look you know all too well. You didn’t have the heart to tell them to stop.
“How is he?” Caitlin asked while Cisco nodded, wanting to know if his friend’s okay.
“He’s good,” you responded with a smitten grin, and then made a little sheepish face. “They’re all good.”
“They?-” Caitlin frowned as she slowly asked with a raised eyebrow.
“-Excuse me? They?” Cisco had a look mixed with dumbfoundedness and disbelief. His mouth slightly open as you saw his mind comprehending that simple sentence. You just nodded with a slightly sheepish grimaced expression. “You-”
“-had to meet the entire Council of Wells and propose to them the Multi-Dimensional idea that could possibly save them all because my boyfriend and a select few of his pals convinced me to since apparently the Wells men tend to have lots of arguments and so they also tend to never get things done sometimes. Yeah. That happened.” You quickly rambling how you met the infinite Council of Wells and then slowed down at the latter sentence with a nod. Cisco and Caitlin were stunned in place as they had tried to keep up with every single word that you said. Before they could even say anything, you spoke up once again as you got off the bed to stand on wobbly legs. “Did I mention that Harry, Sherloque, and Wolfgang are the triumvirate lead of the Council and that Sonny’s their hype man, apparently? I did not ever see that happening.” You ran a hand through your hair, “I have seen things. Standing in a huge lecture-ish mental room in Nash’s mind filled with doppelgangers of Harrison Wells is something I just cannot unsee.”
“No, you can’t.” Cisco added in agreement, his arms crossed. “You met all of them?”
“I mean, sorta. I mainly just stood at the front where the Wells triumvirate take their spots to start their meetings. Ok, so like you know the Galactic Senate from Star Wars where Palpatine and Padme were in?”
“Hell yeah, I do. What do you take me for an uncultured swine?”
“So, like, the layout of the room was sorta styled like that.” Cisco looked slightly mind blown because Star Wars obviously. You located your leather jacket and put it on to have some layer against the cool wind of the AC. “How’s everything coming with the modifications?”
Cisco and Caitlin look at each other before Frost took over for a bit, “I think this is the part where we tell you that they’ve sorta hit a roadblock.”
“Perfect,” you deadpanned, with a slight pain reverberating at the back of your head. I need some coffee, you thought before collecting your things and giving Nash one last glance.
***
I jinxed myself when I told Cisco that I could handle this. Handle them and their stupidity. A frown plastered itself onto Nash’s face, his head throbbing at the legit argument going on at the back of his head. What about? Who the hell knows or cares? Rubbing his face then his temples when the headache started to radiate to the front, the dark-haired explorer let out another annoyed groan as a doppelganger started yelling to contribute to the argument. I have never been more annoyed at the sound of my voice. Nash’s been trying to mentally block them so he himself can think things out, but collectively it hasn’t been succeeding. His heavy footsteps carried him to the Med Bay, thankful that no one was here at this ungodly hour to see him like this. I need an icepack and multiple pills of aspirin. Nash snorted when a mental image of you scolding him for the number of pills he might take to ease the pain was conjured in his mind. You entertained him, is what he told himself, just like the rest of them.
As he entered the Med Bay, the door creaked and the dim lights from the labs allowed him to see a faint silhouette on the bed. Nash raised an eyebrow as he crept slowly towards the bed, gauntlet at the ready.
“Well, speak of the devil,” he whispered to no one in a low voice, forgetting about the throbbing and disgruntled voices in his head. Nash disengaged his gauntlet. On the bed, you were curled up with a thin blanket, clearly still cold, but sound asleep at this hour. Curled up like a kitten and cuddled up to a pillow. Nash’s blue eyes wandered to what’s beside you, seeing multiple papers messily put together and various binders littering the bed. Due to the dimness, he couldn’t really make out any of the writings on the paper at this angle, but the Wells doppelganger can only assume that they’re medical files for Barry and the others.
Nash’s blue  gaze snapped back to you when you emitted a small noise as you shuddered. He didn’t know why, but he made a beeline for the cabinets and closets, finding another thin blanket hidden in them. At least two are better than one. He pulled the thin cloth over you, ensuring that you would be a little warmer than before. Nash’s gaze softened slightly at your tired expression that you carried even while asleep. Shutting his eyes for a bit only to reopen them, Nash curled his hand into a fist then uncurled it. He let out an inaudible sigh, his right hand reaching out to gingerly tuck a strand of hair behind your ear-
“-Don’t you dare touch her.”
Nash felt as if he was shocked on the spot, retracting his hand rapidly as he turned around, coming face to face with the source of the voice. Harry stood with his hands in his pants pockets, a glare present on his face as he watched his doppelganger with angry eyes. Clearly unamused that Nash was getting close to you. Harry’s words, precise and cold, had cut through the air like a sharpened knife, but you couldn’t hear him.
Nash swallowed, sending Harry a smile of mockery. “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to steal her away from you. Unless-” Nash spoke with a raspy voice.
“-You can’t even if you tried,” Harry retorted without hesitation. Nash rolled his eyes taking a few steps closer to his doppelganger. Both men exuded confidence and intimidation towards one another. “Watch yourself, Nash. I have her heart, just as she has mine.”
“You can keep the little lady, for all I care. She’s just good company, you would know that all too well, wouldn’t you Harry? And what do you know, she still owes me a favor. A favor in exchange for my help. I could have easily said no and kept the both of you separated because why would I care if her little heart remains broken and she loses sleep every night over it?” Nash bit down on the inside of his cheek, ignoring that mental image.
Harry glowered at Nash’s cocky words. “When I get back, I’m going to make you regret those words.”
“Look, I’m not interested in her, Harry. Get over yourself and keep her, she’s not that special anyway.” The tension and malice were intoxicating, hanging heavy in the room.
“Are you kidding me? I’m literally in your mi-”
“-Zhe petit fluer ‘as been overworking ‘erself again.” Nash jumped slightly at the new voice, letting out a frustrated breath before turning his gaze towards the French-accented voice. “And you two are ‘ere arguing over ‘er like ‘igh school boys.” Sherloque stood on the other side of the bed as he examined the papers from his height. He was clearly annoyed at both Nash and Harry, narrowing his eyes with an icy look on his face. “Merde, if you want to ‘ash it out, at least ‘ave zhe decency to do it outside,” Sherloque pointedly spoke, crossing his arms.
Harry and Nash briefly looked at each other before moving their gazes back to Sherloque only to find an empty space beside you. Sherloque had retreated back into Nash’s mind in order to sort things out with Wolfgang and the others. J'ai parlé de mes deux cents à ces deux-là. Sherloque took off his fedora and weaved a hand through his dark locks, glancing at the Nexus of Nash’s mind. “Et ce n'est pas bon de se mentir à toi-même, Nash,” the Frenchmen whispered with a knowing glint in his eyes, a stoic smile on his face.
You scrunched your nose and shuffled into a different position on the bed, almost knocking off a binder stack. Harry ignored Nash’s existence, taking a seat on the chair beside your sleeping form and noticing something that anyone else would have missed if they had not been together with you. Nash watched his Earth-2 doppelganger, seeing a certain look cross through Harry’s eyes. Harry slowly reached a hand out only to drop it knowing that he wouldn’t be able to touch you in this state. His hand formed into a tight fist as he dropped it by his side. Harry heavily sighed, shutting his eyes and running a hand through his hair. Nash raked his teeth over his bottom lip, feeling a tiny shred of guilt at Harry’s inability to be here with you. Reopening his azure irises, Harry’s heart stung, and it reverberated throughout his entire being. Oh, how he yearned to hold you again. To be able to wrap his arms around you and pull you close for warmth.
“She’s still cold,” Harry commented his observation, a slightly sullen expression creeping on his face. He readjusted his glasses. Nash raised an eyebrow at Harry’s words. “Just remember what I said. She’s not a prize. After everything you’ve done, she’d never willingly choose you in any lifetime.”
Nash blinked and Harry was gone, the explorer immediately regained composure of himself and his surroundings. Nash felt the tension leave his body, stretching a bit to relieve his muscles. I swear if I roll my eyes hard enough, they’ll fall out of their sockets. With a sigh, Nash gave you one last look before reluctantly shedding off his jacket and pulling it over you. The dark-haired man left the room without sparing you another glance.
What is even considered a prize anymore?
***
It’s been a couple weeks since you had entered Nash’s mind and spoken to the Wells men. Since then they had collectively collaborated with Barry, Cisco, and Chester via Nash to make necessary modifications and electro-/neuro-magnetic adjustments. “I present to you attempt #29,” Cisco announces, sliding out from behind the machinery, with a tool in hand, “which coincidently is the same number of one of my favorite Pokémon from the original 151 of the benevolent Kanto region.”
“Female Nidoran?” You and Barry both questioned the looked at each other. Nidoran is a pretty decent Pokémon, not gonna lie. Poison capabilities that are deadly with a combination of ground-type moves can really have opponents running for the hills without the proper Pokémon to counter its abilities and possible move-sets.
“What? She’s literally a freaking queen in battle and her move-set has been improving tremendously with every generation.”
“To be honest, Cisco, you always struck me for a Poliwag kind of guy when I first met you,” you quipped up. “But I got to say (Insert Favorite Pokémon Type)-types are more my style.
“Nerds,” Nash snickered to himself lowly. You whipped your head back to him, not clearly hearing his exact murmured words, but hearing his voice. The others didn’t hear anything. Nash dropped his gaze away avoiding your look, but not before narrowing his eyes at you. You just continued on with a questioning look, this time your thoughts circulating on if you’d done anything to offend this Wells doppelganger.
He’s been avoiding you since you had entered his mind, which at first you respected because having someone else enter your mind and intrude is weird enough, so you gave him his space. But then it started to turn into him throwing annoyed looks at you when you spoke, gradually and fully ignoring your existence in the Labs as the days went by. Even to the point of not seeking you for medical attention like he normally did when he injured himself in some way. Instead, Nash went to see Caitlin.
At first you thought nothing of it, Nash probably had his reasons for not wanting to speak to you and you had done nothing wrong in reality that you could recall. But then your anxiety continued to climb as one day passed after another. I’m not a bad physician, am I? I mean, I hope I not. I’ve been doing my best to suture and isolate every variable in order to make correct diagnostics. Nash even ignored you when you asked him if he wanted any coffee when you went on coffee runs. Was it the coffee pun I made? Everyone laughed at it.
“How are the modifications to the dimensional extrapolator coming along?” You asked turning your gaze back to the boys. You sort of regretted asking because you know that they’re going to start talking all quantum physics and math at you.
“Well, after analyzing the multiverse extrapolator and running diagnostics it’s… actually not fit to be modified,” Chester explained, holding up the piece of tech.
“Is that the bad news?” You raised an eyebrow at them, glancing back at Nash for any input, but were greeted with silence.
“I mean, this little baby over here may not be as functional as before, but it does still hold a variety of multiversal coordinates. In which we could cross reference those numbers with any pocket dimension coordinates that we happen to stumble across. Which I’ve got to say is so friggen cool! My world just keeps exploding, first there were multiple universes and doppelgangers, then black holes- but I created that on accident- my bad, by the way-” Chester continued in a quick ramble with a huge and excited grin on his face. If you didn’t know better, he seemed as eccentric as the energizer bunny, you just nodded along politely. “-And now we’ve got pocket dimensions! We really are breaking all the rules of physics-”
“-Chester, grab me the-”
Barry leaned in close, cutting off your focus from Chester’s hyper rant and Cisco’s shout, “We basically need to develop a new extrapolator.”
“That makes much more sense, but I was following Chester’s rant, thank-you-very-much. Sort of. ” you nodded sheepishly at your friend before sending him a teasing smile. Barry held his hands up in defeat. Barry let out a laugh. “How’s Iris?”
The speedster nodded, directing his gaze to the side so you two can side bar. “She’s doing ok, keeping an eye on Eva while running the Citizen. The headaches have receded, but she’s a bit disoriented at times. I’ve had Cisco and Chester install different meta security measures in case Black Hole decides to make a guest appearance.”
“But is she ok? Mentally?”
“She’s… jumpy at times. Iris told me she trusted Eva when she entered Joseph’s hidden lab. That Eva was the reason that she doubted herself in seeing the truth and her instinct that Iris’s always trusted. She told Kamilla the same thing. We’re trying to work through it.”
You patted Barry’s back, “Just let me know if I can do anything to help. If it means anything, Harry taught me how to use his pulse rifle for a worst-case scenario.” You grinned up at him, secretly always wanted to have a reason to put your sessions with Harry to the test.
Barry chuckled and shook his head, knowing that Harry would kill him if he had allowed you to be put in harm’s way. “I think we’ll be good, but thanks for the tip.” You pouted at your best friend before a small laugh leaves your lips.
Nash took a glimpse of you over his shoulder as you giggled at your best friend. He thanked the stars that he was able to reuse the tech from an older MAD produced by Harry and synthesized it to become a mental block between him and the other Wells so that they wouldn’t interfere with his thoughts or pop up randomly. Nash called it Psyche Block. All he had to was to make sure it was on whenever he was in the labs. She hasn’t been sleeping well. He could oddly tell with one look. That small moment of weakness allowed the sharpened tool in his hand to slip his grip and pierce the skin through his entire palm. The dark-haired Wells let out a sudden gasp, blood oozed out profusely. A few droplets had fallen onto the hard drive of the Neural Splicer, short-circuiting it. Your ears caught the noise somehow, frowning your eyes caught Nash leaving with quick steps.
“I-I gotta go…” you whipped your head back to Barry, who had watched the glances that you had thrown at the Wells doppelganger since you entered the room. You pointed to the Speed Lab’s exit, “Do this… this thing.” Barry nodded with a teasing grin at your awkward attempt to excuse yourself, gesturing towards to door.
You were already leaving as you spoke to the speedster. Entering the corridor with swift feet you slightly managed to catch up to Nash. Damn him and his long legs.
“Nash!”
Nash’s blood ran cold at the sound of your voice. He willed himself to not look back, instead to carry on his way to the Med Bay. You saw that he clearly ignored you, which caused an ache to echo throughout your body. With every fiber of your being, you sprinted forward as fast as you could to come to a stop right in front of him causing the geological myth-buster to stop as well, midway to the medical room with an irritated façade on his features. Nash remained silent as you caught your breath, he held a cautious hand out to put up distance between you both, to not have you come any closer.
You opened your mouth to question him instantly at his gesture, but your eyes quickly caught sight of his bloodied hand. Sharp instincts assessing that the wound had been the cause of his escape from the Speed Lab. “You’re hurt.” You ignored his eye roll, taking a step forward and snatching his hand gingerly to examine it. He hadn’t realized that he stopped you with his bloodied hand. The droplets of red had splattered onto the concrete floor, creating a puddled mess of crimson. “Nash this needs stitches. Immediately.” Looking up at him, Nash exhaled roughly side-glancing away in frustration before meeting you with cold eyes. But you did not yield under the coldness. “I can suture this. All we nee-”
“-I don’t need your help,” was his rapid and frosty response. He blinked at you, holding his ground.
“Then who’s help are you going to need, huh!? Caitlin? Last time I checked she was at her mother’s facility because of the bullet-light-energy shot that Black Hole gave her,” You frowned deeply at him with fiery eyes, you had never combusted like this in a really long time. “Can you suture this by yourself?” You asked rhetorically. “This cut is too deep to just put a band aid on it and call it a day.” Nash opened his mouth to retaliate, but you cut him off in a softer voice. “I know that you hate me,” Nash narrowed his eyes at those words, “but let me help you.”
Nash pursed his lips, looking into your pleading eyes and inwardly cursed himself. With a sigh, the older man followed you to the Med Bay, where you proceeded to stitch him up and fully sterilize the wound from the blood and bacteria/bacteriophages that could enter the cut.
“You’re only looking after me because of Harry.” You heart stopped at the sudden words, slicing the air of the room. “What? Nash, that’s not true.”
Nash let out a mirthless laugh. “Isn’t it?”
“It’s not, I can’t believe you would even think that.” You berated him with a serious look, but he just waved you off. You pursed your lips at the silence. “Why do you hate me?” You looked up as you finished your work, eyes meeting his light blue colored ones that you had stared into before. Nash licked his lips, eyes darting to anything else, avoiding the kicked puppy look on your face.
“I don’t hate you.”
“Was it the coffee pun?”
“No”
“The Pokémon nerd talk?”
“Unfortunately, no”
“Then, what is it?”
“It’s- I…” He started, taking a breath in. “Quae dicunt, facite vobis cor eius. Quod pertinet ad eum. Nusquam potuerunt alium, qui non pertinent ad quis enim concupíscit.” The dark-haired man raked an uninjured hand through his hair as he fisted his wounded one, feeling its stitching.
“What?” You raised an eyebrow in confusion. Nash stubbornly shook his head, not wanting to repeat his words.
“Nash, I don’t understand what foreign, dead language you just spoke, but you’re my friend. I’m always going to care for my friends, even and especially when I’m involved with Harry. They’ll always be in my heart, no matter what. And that includes you too, you stubborn idiot.” You grinned at him with sincere intention, placing a hand gently on his clenched fist. A reluctant smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. “Now, you need to let that heal. So, no tech tinkering or spontaneous adventures in the middle of the day until the stitches come off, doctor’s orders.” You winked, smiling widely at him. You moved to leave the room, throwing one last look back at him.
Don’t- Don’t fucking do that, Nash bittersweetly thought to himself as he rubbed his face when you left the room. Don’t give me that… that smile, saying things like that. He sighed for the nth time that day, unfurling his hand to observe your handiwork.
***
You entered Nash’s mindscape once more, searching for Harry to spend some time with him. Nash had opted to stay behind until you were ready to leave his mind, particularly moody about not wanting to see his doppelgangers because he sees enough of them. He had upgraded the MAD 2.0 so that Cecile’s presence and powers wouldn’t be required for today. Nash, the Wells, and the Team Flash boys have been working closely the past couple of days to ensure that the Psyche Segregator (that’s the current name for all the machines interwoven together) would be fully functional. The extrapolator was essentially finished, it just needed the proper orientation for dimensional coordinates that the Wells doppelgangers would need to report.
You walked down the rocky caves of Nash’s mind before hitting a modern looking corridor that similarly belonged to a level in STAR Labs. With a questioning look, your feet continued on as you decided the top floor would be the place that Harry should reside in with Sherloque and Wolfgang. Entering the vacant elevator and ascended each level, you soon found yourself in front of what looks to be Harry’s office from Earth-2.I guess you can change the layout of things if you’re the Mindscape’s master. You pushed the door open, the lights automatically illuminating the room before scanning the area to find it vacant. Your shoulders sagged a bit. Where is he? I thought Nash told Harry that I was coming. Glancing around a bit, you took a seat at the main desk, finding Harry’s glasses. You made the mistake of putting them on as Harry entered the room with a coffee mug in hand. Harry froze at the door as your gaze instantly locked onto his, glasses still on his face. You blinked at one another. It didn’t take long from a wicked grin to cross his handsomely rugged features at the sight of you.
“Don’t you know you shouldn’t take what’s not yours?” Harry shut the door and came around the desk. So he decided not to show up this time. Harry quickly dismissed the thought from his mind, shifting his focus more to you. He noted your exhaustion and would berate you regarding it later.
“Who said they couldn’t be mine?” You teased back as you stood up, slipping the black frames off you and folding them to clip the glasses onto the collar of your top. Harry let out a deep chuckle, a giggle leaving your own. Your boyfriend set down his cup of java on the upper corner of the desk and dipped down to kiss you. He nipped at your lips when you responded to his sweet kiss before pulling away. Harry enjoyed the slight flush on your cheeks, a reaction only he could elicit with his existence. “What was that for?”
“What? I can’t give my lady a kiss?”
This smooth fucker. The heat in your heart intensified at his words and adoring gaze. You were going to unclip his glasses and hand them to him, but his hand stopped you. To anyone observing the scene, they can literally see heart eyes happening between the two of you. “Your lady may want more than just a simple kiss,” You giggled, your voice lowly enticing before pulling him back in, cupping his face with steady hands as your lips collided. Harry let out a laugh against your mouth, bracing his arms around your waist only to maneuver you to sit atop the cool desk.
Gasping at the sudden movement, Harry pushed his tongue into your mouth. You allowed him to slot himself between your legs, pulling him closer and running feather-light touches through his untamed hair. He groaned against you at your touch. God, you missed this closeness! Every time his lips met yours in fervor his grip on your hips would tighten slightly, sending a small shiver to run down your spine. How is it that this all feels so real?
His name escaped your swollen lips when Harry decided to head south, nipping at the nape of your neck before sucking on your sweet spots. How could he forget where you’re most vulnerable to his touch? Your hands gripped onto his shirt. A small noise left your lips, tilting your head more to the side to give the Harry more access to continue his conquest. The room felt hot, your body on fire at every one of Harry’s kisses as he marked your skin. You breathed his name again and Harry could not think straight. One of his strong hands left your side and cradled your face as his lips re-connected with yours once more in a searing kiss. His thumb gently stroked your cheek. How can the way you simply utter his name allow Harrison Wells to abandon all self-control?
Sherloque strode into the room with his cup of tea only to almost drop it at the scandalous scene in front of him. “Mon Dieu! Ayez de la décence!” You and Harry had ripping apart from each other at the sudden outburst, both of your heads snapping towards him. Harry sent a glare at Sherloque, who responded with an annoyed eyeroll at the couple. “At least lock zhe door if you’re going to get all ‘andsy wizh each ozher,” the detective grumbled before leaving the room and shutting the door. Your cheeks were on fire at this point, opting to look at your folded hands that rest on your lap. But Harry did not look ashamed in the slightest, instead a smirk on his face at your sudden bashfulness. You soon snapped out of your embarrassment when a thought had crossed your mind.
“Harry?”
“Hm?”
“Did you say anything to Nash?”
“No,” he lied, glancing up towards the ceiling.
“Uh huh,” you looked at him dubiously with narrowed eyes, “you know that I can tell when you’re lying, right?” You spoke with crossed arms.
“…” Harry’s eyes met yours and you raised a questioning eyebrow at him for an answer. He briefly shut his eyes before reopening them, “I may have… warned him not to come near you and such.”
“Warned or seriously threatened to utterly destroy?”
“… maybe a bit of both…”
“Harry!”
“What?! Do you not see the way he looks at you?”
“The way he what!? Harry, he’s my friend. Just like Sherloque and HR.” You sighed as he pouted sheepishly at you. “Honestly, you know I only have eyes for you.”
“I know, it’s just…” Harry trailed off.
“It’s just?”
“I’m not here. Physically here, to be by your side. To go home with you at the end of the day. Especially at the labs when other versions of myself show up out of nowhere and seem to try to get all chummy with you.”
You blinked at Harry a few times. “Are you… jealous?” Harry didn’t respond, grumpily frowning at your words as he attempted to avoid your gaze. He didn’t like that word. “You are, aren’t you?” The butterflies in your stomach fluttered as you teased him, knowing that his silence was proof enough. Harry sighed, pulling you in a close hug and you felt his head nod in dejection. Harry didn’t want to admit it out loud, that’s just how he is. You rubbed his back, “You know it’s ok to be jealous, right?” Harry let out a sarcastic exhale, resting his chin on your shoulder. You kissed the side of his head, “How do you think I felt every time a young bachelorette sauntered her way towards you at all those galas that we attended? All those thirst cubes you kept receiving? I swear Jesse had to hold me back before I was about to throw some hands, verbally and politely, but effectively scathing.”
Harry snickered at how you’ve dubbed the cubes he’s received from various women ‘thirst cubes’. “Every night, you were the only thing that I would see.” You gave him a tight squeeze before pulling away to give him a soft kiss.
“And you’re the only Wells that my heart wants to be with.” You smiled up at him before it suddenly dropped.
“What?” Fear grappled Harry’s heart. “What is it?”
You swallowed your own fear that had climbed into your throat. “It’s just… this is the last time that I’ll see you before… we have the systems go online to-” You trailed off as you directed your gaze to the ground, gesturing to your theory going into action as you did so. Harry pursed his lips, tilting your head up to look at him. Your eyes glistened in the calm lighting of the office, your voice cracking, “I’m not going to be there when you wake up, Harry.” The realization struck him as well, his eyes glancing down for a split second before meeting yours again.
“I’ll still find you. I’ll still come for you on Earth-Prime.”
There was a sudden knock at the door that snapped yours and Harry’s attention towards it, followed by a clearing of the throat and a thick German accent. “If you bozh are done in zhere, I’d like for eine kleine assembly to ‘appen.”
***
Diese beiden schwöre ich. “I don’t… even vant to know vhat you two vere doing.” Wolfgang deadpanned, holding blueprints in one hand and adjusting his glasses. Sherloque stood beside him with a new cup of tea in hand, this time without a fedora.
“We would never-”
“-We were having fun.”
You stumbled over your own words while Harry had owned up to his. You failed to realize the light hickies still on your neck until Wolfgang narrowed his eyes at you and Sherloque rolled his eyes as he watched the exchange. Harry knew they were there; he just didn’t point out that they were visible arm’s length away. Damn it, Harry! Your cheeks heated up and now you’re wondering if your real body now has hickies on them because there’s about to be some words thrown your way by two or three particular members of Team Flash.
“Ah ah ah ah, nein. None of zhat,” the German waved you two off with his hand, “just keep your ‘ormones at a decent level until ve get our bodies back. Zhen you two idiotenliebhaber can do whatever it is you two do when not in a crisis.” You dipped your head down shyly, but that didn’t stop your boyfriend from nudging your side and giving you a smug-ass grin. You glowered at him as he wiggled his eyebrows at you before Wolfgang caught your attention again. “Anyvay, ve need to discuss somezhing else vizh you. Sherloque und I vill also be coming to Earzh-Eins.”
“Why?”
“In case,” Harry started, “I don’t make it in time to recalibrate the Multiversal Communications Projector before all the others. Earth-Prime will essentially give the green light to the others in the multiverse to send in their coordinates.”
“We’ve already figured out Earzh-Prime’s dimensionale coordinates,” Sherloque added in. “Une sécurité intégrée vaut mieux que rien.”
You nodded at their words. I mean it makes sense, but… Wolfgang took out a couple sheets of paper that had been rolled up and hidden in the rolled-up blueprint file, handing it to you. “What’s this?”
“Ein liste of names of all the present Vells who’s neurological vavelengths are entangled vith Nash’s,” Wolfgang stated nonchalantly. “It seems zhat some Earzh are either permanently vacant or do not ‘ave ein Vells.”
“Like Kara’s Earth, old Earth I guess,” You responded, holding the sheets. “She’s Supergirl, used to live on Earth-38. Barry had accidentally multiverse jumped to Earth-38, thanks to Harry. He said that no one from Team Flash’s doppelgangers were on Earth-38, unlike Earth-2 and Earth-19.” Earth-19 Your eyes scanned the list; Wolfgang had done you a great favor in numbering it in Earth order. Could he..? The thought was soon shut out as you looked through the list.
Harry watched as your shoulders sagged, knowing who you were looking for. He pocketed his hands as a fake smile plastered itself onto your face.
***
The day had finally come. It’s time for the boys to come back home. Everyone had gathered in the Speed Lab. The machinery interconnected to one another as if interwoven into one mechanical creature. Your heart pounded in your chest and those dubious thoughts returned, but you willed them back. You needed to believe that this can work. Chester and Cisco were calibrating the tablets and satellites, running newer and improved diagnostics for this moment.
“That favor, that you owe me,” Nash’s voice caught your attention, snapping you out of your trance. You looked up at him with a quizzical look.
“Yeah?”
“I’m cashing it in,” Nash’s voice rasped as he took your hand. You humored the geological explorer. “Protect Allegra,” he whispered, his eyes glancing in her direction as her was turned because she was added the finishing touches with Cisco. The simple wish had surprised you, yet at the same time it didn’t in the slightest. “Please.” He sounded like a dying man marching to his death. And in a way he was if this doesn’t work.
“Always,” you nodded at him. Leaning up, you kissed his forehead softly before placing the Psyche Segregator on his head. “Thank you.” Nash remained silent and only closed his eyes as he sat back down. Releasing a breath, he reopening those piercing blue eyes filled with determination, but you can see that behind it there was a form of fear. He nodded. You nodded back at him, taking a step backwards before looking at the others. It’s time. Cisco handed you the tablet that held the ignition keys. You took in a breath, the weight of the tablet seemingly heavier than ever before. A multiverse of lives held within the tips of your fingers, only fate will decide if they live or die.
Your eyes met Nash’s one last time. Doubt choked your heart, but there was no going back. “Here we go,” you spoke each word slowly before pressing the button to ignite the Psyche Segregator.

Character ask for Cisco & Caitlin
Cisco
1: sexuality headcanon: pansexual
2: otp: Killervibe (obviously)
3: brotp: Cisco no Barry are one of the best bromances on television and I will shout it from the rooftops until the day I die. I need the writers to remember this more often.
4: notp: Cisco and any of the Wells is a big no from me.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Kit Fisto is his favorite Jedi and him and Barry argue over who is the best Jedi anytime they watch anything Star Wars (Barry’s favorite Jedi is Shaak Ti. And I have no real explanation other than a gut feeling.)
6: favorite line from this character: “My brain is the Ryan Gosling of intellect.”
7: one way in which I relate to this character: he is such a nerd, I love this boy
8: thing that gives me secondhand embarresment about this character: the entire relationship with Kamilla. It’s just painful to watch. Her only real character trait is being Cisco’s girlfriend, but it doesn’t really feel like Cisco is that into her. Like, I want to ship it, but the writers are making it very hard.
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?: cinnamon roll
Caitlin
1: sexuality headcanon: i haven’t really thought about it, honestly, but my gut feeling when typing this out was demisexual.
2: otp: Killervibe, duh.
3: brotp: I really love Caitlin and the West-Allens. Her relationship with both Barry and Iris is just wonderful and I don’t want to choose which of the two I like more, so both friendships.
4: notp: Caitlin and the West-Allens, because their friendships are too precious to be ruined with a romantic relationship.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Whenever Barry and Cisco get together for their weekly movie nights, Iris and Caitlin go to dinner and have a girls night. And they have a continuous bet going as to which one of their boys will call them first (because Barry and Cisco cannot go the whole night without calling them to check in.)
6: favorite line from this character: the first (and only) line that comes to mind when I think about Caitlin is “I didn’t want him to be a hero. I wanted him to be my husband.” It just very much stuck with me and I definitely cried, because life is not fair and Caitlin Snow deserves a break.
7: one way in which I relate to this character: She is the one who will shut the fun down to get to work and I am 100% that person and have made my sisters very angry doing that.
8: thing that gives me second hand embarresment about this character: her trend to fall for terrible guys after Ronnie. Ronnie was great, but every guy after that was just the worst and I’m glad she hasn’t really had a boyfriend because she has a terrible track record.
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?: honestly? I don’t feel like Caitlin is either. She’s definitely not a problematic fave, but I wouldn’t exactly call her a cinnamon roll either. She’s a complex character who is good to her core and I really don’t know how to discribe her properly.
Send me a character x
