Au where Harry is constantly struggling bc of Tom's good looks and gestures of affection. He totally has a crush but really REALLY doesn't know how to deal with it.

He's seen either frowning or looking constipated whenever he's by Tom's side and people naturally mistake it as distate/hatred (which technically wouldn't have been wrong back in his old timeline).

In reality, Harry is so down bad for his past nemesis that he's always close to hyperventilating at the proximity between them. With Tom manoeuvring situations behind the scenes so that they can constantly be near each other/are partners in every class they're in, Harry has no chance to relax his heart at all and thus, suffers. It just so happens that his face, misleadingly, reflects that pain. Lmao.

I am of the DPxDC belief/headcanon that any variation of Danny who grew up poor in Gotham during his formative years before moving to Amity Park would not be friends with Sam without friction at first. It makes things more interesting and imo allows for more exploration of different themes plus character growth for Sam that she doesn't really go through in canon.

(this doesn't only apply to a DPDC au where Danny grew up in Gotham poor, but it was the first thing that I thought of where this might happen considering my Childhood Friends au.)

Now Sam's a compassionate girl, it's one of her defining character traits, but so is her hypocrisy and judgy-ness. She's the Not Like Other Girls' girl. This is in part of the show's narrative framing that makes her out like this, unfortunately though its still showing how she is as a character since its consistent enough to be part of her character description. There are also times where the show's depiction of her activism makes it look like she's performative about it. All of this makes her dynamic with a Danny who grew up poor in Gotham very interesting.

Anyways, Sam is aware of her privilege to an extent, but still has her blindspots - glaring ones, in some cases. Her self-righteous attitude would not go over well with a crime alley kid Danny. He'd like her, at first, but then she'd do something to make him mad - personally I think her judging people for not being vegan would annoy him the most, or at least would be the breaking point for him, because it was only recently that his family started actually being able to consistently put food on the table at all, good food nonetheless. And being vegan is expensive.

Any other behavior he noticed from her he'd slowly stop tolerating - her judging conventionally attractive girls and automatically assuming they're vapid and shallow for being feminine. Her anti-capitalist beliefs start coming off as superficial at worst, and Danny would eventually figure out that Sam either came from a family that was well off, or that she wasn't aware if her family was experiencing financial struggle.

He would still be friends with Tucker, but since Tucker imo is still friends with Sam, they'd still run into each other often enough to butt heads. Sam's got a nasty habit of refusing to take responsibility when she's wrong, but when Danny is arguing with her, and counterpointing her with stuff she can't retort back at without compromising her own beliefs, then forces her to start reflecting on herself. Especially when Tucker eventually starts siding with Danny and agreeing with him.

Does sam genuinely care about her beliefs and philosophies? Survey says yes. However that doesn't mean she's not ignorant, and she definitely is at times throughout the show (like when she released the purpleback gorilla thinking it 'wanted out of its enclosure' despite the fact that it was endangered and in an urban area) and I think it'd be a real fascinating dynamic between Danny and Sam to explore.

This isn't Sam hate btw, nor am I trying to make her out like "the worst person ever" bc she's not, i wanna make that explicitly clear. Sam Manson has a lot of positive traits about her but she also has an equal amount of negative traits that I think should be explored, she is not immune to the character development.

So I've been thinking.

Icarus and Arachne clearly have some situationships going on (Arachne's is triggered when Mel gives her ambrosia and it looks to be mutual unless something else changes). They are both shades LIs (2)

Eris and Nemesis both clearly also have situationships with Melinoe. They are both female god LIs and daughters of Nyx (2).

Moros is highly implied (like the foreshadowing is very thick) to be a potential LI for Melinoe. He is a male god and son of Nyx (1). If we look at the pattern going on so far, we're missing one male god love interest. Who could that be?

Now, it's entirely possible that it's a god not yet included in Early Access and has to be patched in with development. But also. Melinoe has had a parasocial relationship with Hypnos going on since forever. She gives him great reverence/interest with him. She clearly is into babygirl" men. It would be wild, and I say wild, if the final male LI established is Hypnos. Once you wake him that is.

I can't take these two frames seriously, look at the dumb ones. the first dude came just to gossip and flirt, and the second one makes it even worse with his sudden jojo face (and probably voice). also the dialogue is SO AWKWARD WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS. repeating the villain's name three times in two frames in a row is definitely not suspicious, especially for that idiot in a mask. "oh, which one?" yeah that's the point.

Social media is rough. My therapist said it's designed to make you feel worse about yourself and I don't disagree (this is not about the people and friends online, this is about the companies and platforms)

You see pictures of people traveling the world, or on the other hand, see long posts about trauma you never imagined before

You're subject to a constant barrage of information and you can't possibly react to all of it. You're expected to be online 24/7. What if Something Happens, and you miss it? This is not sustainable for anyone but especially not someone on the less verbal side of the spectrum

You post about having a rough day and it gets a few likes. Someone else posts about having a rough day and it gets more likes. Makes it feel like everyone cares about other people more than you

You wonder if anyone actually cares about your presence online, because everyone else seems to be much more interesting and fun than you. You feel just like you did in grade school when you couldn't fit into any of the groups in your class

You make a harmless comment about liking something and you get strangers telling you that you're a bad person for it. Every time you get a new interest, you're paranoid the whole time and hesitate to share it with anyone, for fear of it being "problematic."

You can't talk about yourself or your interests too much, because then people will get tired of you. You have to keep up with what the crowd likes.

Many jobs expect you to be online and maintaining a business friendly image. Wanting privacy is not a hirable quality.

You see people having fun and try to join in, only to get talked over or ignored. You see people having fun and you do get to join in, but the notifications quickly become overwhelming and you spend hours growing increasingly more apathetic online, instead of doing what you needed or wanted to do. You just begin to focus, and there's another ping, and you get frustrated and distracted again. (You can't turn off notifications, because What if you Miss Something?)

You have to react ASAP, because if you don't, someone else will say what you wanted to say. You have to be first. You have to get the most likes.

You're not feeling good at all, but talking about it feels attention seeking, especially when you're surrounded by posts of everyone who has it so much worse. You don't want to bring down the mood when others are having so much fun online. You don't want strangers online to know about your bad days, yet you still crave just a little recognition of your struggles. You hesitate even making this post for these reasons.

You live in constant fear that you'll say one wrong thing and everyone will snap at you and shun you.

You don't even want to be online, but if you go too long without posting, everyone will forget about you as the constant stream of content churns on.

Haven't been online much lately because to be honest it's all too much. Really need to focus on things that make me feel good and further my goals (talk to friends one on one/small groups, write, read, do puzzles) because uh this is not the vibe. Bad brain soup
