Kendrick doesn't just hate Drake as a person. He hates the very idea of Drake.
Hip-Hop is rooted in revolution. In defiance. These are the songs of an oppressed group of people, and decades upon decades people have hated it. Accused of being meaningless and invalid. Media outlets took steps to belittle hip-hop and make sure it isn't recognized as an art form and as a means to fight back.
2Pac spoke of wealth disparity and inequality. Tupac was literally a member of a communist organization when he was younger and never stopped speaking against capitalism.
Lauryn Hill spoke of the struggles a woman faces. Not just women, but black women. Salt-N-Peppa. Queen Latifah. MISSY FUCKING ELLIOT.
N.W.A made sure people knew about police brutality and violence against the Black community.
And now, in this day and age, we're also experiencing an explosion of Queer Hip-Hop. Lil Nas X is at the forefront of this. Lil Uzi Vert came out as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, even when they knew that a lot of their fans would never use it or even respect them for it. Auntie Diaries, a song about a young man who grew up in a transphobic environment and bought into those beliefs, but could never fully do it because his Uncle loved him so much and taught him a lot of life lessons, and that wisdom translated to him accepting his cousin as a woman as well.
Drake is none of that.
He's the perfect representation of what people think hip-hop is. Flexing. Posturing. Objectifying women. A fucker so insecure he bought 2Pac's ring just to feel like he's part of the black community. Rejected by Rihanna publicly. Tried to groom Millie Bobby Brown. Kissed and inappropriately touched an underage girl during his concert. His songs have inspired so many young boys to treat girls like shit. His belief that the amount of rings and chains and cars he has is the true meaning of success.
Additional Edit: This is my fault. If this post gains more views, then it would be remiss of me not to add to this. It was my fault to begin with, not stating this beforehand because while I did know, I got lost in celebrating Hip-Hop in a place that doesn't usually do so, and rightfully so.
2Pac did fight for wealth equality and better social living for the black community. He also has a long, long history of battery, domestic abuse, and sexual harassment against women. Specifically against women of color. He made a song to celebrate his own mother, but outright refused to give the same show of respect to other women in his life. His hypocritical nature was brushed off in later decades, just the way I did now.
N.W.A is the same. Sexual assault charges, violence—they spoke of Police reform, but refuses to give the same treatment back towards the women in their lives.
50 cent refuses to backtrack on any of his misogynistic lyrics.
Modern rappers of today, such as the dead XXXtentacion. 6ix9ine. Kodak Black.
I do love Hip-Hop. I love rap. And the music itself has always been anti-authoritarian at its core, because those are its roots. And I was happy that circles that did not normally know of it or enjoy it were getting into it, even for one thing like this rap feud.
Lil Nas X, Little Simz, Childish Gambino, Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill—rappers who have at the very least consistently tried to put their money where their mouth is. Who have tried to act in accordance to what they rap and write and sing for.
@shehungthemoon @ohsugarsims finnthehumanmp3 were the ones who rightfully clarified in the comments. I know an apology won't correct my hypocrisy or my stupidity. I should have added all of this before making this post, but I wanted so badly to celebrate a genre of music but failed to do my due diligence in showing a better, holistic view of it. If anyone felt triggered, offended, troubled, frustrated or any other intense negative emotions surrounding this, please do block me. I'm sorry.

One of the most generally useful things to come out of Hbomberguy's plagiarism video and Todd in the Shadows' similar video on misinformation is how they bring transparency to the internet phenomenon of "I made up a guy to get mad at".
Seriously, I've seen people make up a lot of stupid shit on the internet over the years and it's often just a manipulative attempt to paint a group of marginalized people in a bad light.
That's the TL;DR version of this post.
Tumblr media
ANYWAY here is the long version
Those videos are mostly about James Somerton's plagiarism of other queer people's work. However I'd like to talk about that 20-30% of Somerton's original writing- and oh boy. It's mostly about complaining about White Straight Women and misgendering well-known trans creators such as Rebecca Sugar and calling Becky Albertalli a straight woman while it's pretty common knowledge that she was forced to out herself as bi because she received so much harassment over "being a cishet woman who appropriates LGBT+ stories".
One thing that irks me especially is how in his Killing Stalking and Gay Shipping videos Somerton brings up how straight women/ teen girl shippers exploit gay men for their personal sexual fantasies. This gets brought up several times in his videos.
Being all up and arms about Somerton being a "White Cis Gay Who Hates Women and Queer People tm" is not that useful because the kind of rhetoric he's using is extremely common in fandom and LGBT+ spaces on Tumblr, TikTok and Twitter. We really don't need to bring Somerton's identity to this since he is in no way an unique example.
It's hypocritical to make this about an individual person when I've seen A TON of posts, tweets and videos where queer people talk about these Sinister Straight Women who are supposedly out there fetishizing and exploiting queer men. It's pretty clear to me that this is just an excuse to shit on women and queer people for having any sexual interests. At worst these comments are spreading misinformation about BL, a form of media that has been excessively studied by both Asian feminists and Asian queer women.
This all sounds really familiar and I think it's good that people are calling it out as what it is: misogyny and transphobia. I'd also point out the potentially racist motives behind being this hypervigilant about Asian media.
People can absolutely be misogynist regardless of gender or orientation. I really don't know why we need to create some kind of made up enemy to get mad at. I actually think it's almost sinister how "anti-fujoshi" people call Slash shippers and fujoshi misogynists or claim that they have internalised misogyny while being dismissive about women's interests and creative pursuits under Japanese obscenity laws, China's censorship, book bans in American schools and various other disadvances that are part of being a queer and/or female creator.
I think we shouldn't be naive about the bad faith actors who want to turn queer people against each other. For example Fujoshi.info mentions anti-gender (TERF, GC etc) movement using this kind of rhetoric as well.
Anyway if you want to read more:
- about the false info around BL fandom fujoshi.info
-There is the scholar Thomas Baudinette who studies gay media in Japan. Here is a podcast with him and the scholar Khursten Santos
-James Welker is a BL scholar as well. Here is a podcast interview about the new international BL article collection he edited.
-I've already talked about this Youtube channel by KrisPNatz and his great Killing Stalking video that actually engages with the themes of the manhwa
- There is also HR Coleman's thesis DO NOT FEED THE FETISHIZERS: BOYS LOVE FANS RESISTANCE AND CHALLENGE OF PERCEIVED REPUTATION where she interviews 36 BL fans and actually breaks down why fetishization has become such a huge talking point in the fandom discourse. Spoilers, it's mostly about young queer people and women being worried that they will get judged and pathologized for their interest in anything sexual.
-Great podcast about Danmei and censorship with Liang Ge

Lots of jikook moments..and it again proved that they were always attached to the hip and love spending time together and I love to see it. But let me be honest also ...all the interactions between them..all are just friendly..like two best buddies who are so comfortable with each other.. teasing each other and love to hangout. Nothing more. And again...99 percent moments were from jimin's side not jk...as always. And it all makes me more strongly believe that they are not a couple especially if you also consider jk's leaked video with that woman. But again...their moments are cute and I love watching them so I'm happy.
Oh how I loath people like you. I prefer antis who are clear where they stand. Not hypocritical assholes like you. Screw off. Screw all the way off. I see right through you.
And again...99 percent moments were from jimin's side not jk...as always
As always. Is that so? Okay, sure asshole. Let's take a look then, shall we?
First we will begin with my all time favourite, satellite Jeon.
Notice how he's hovering behind Jimin? Notice how Jimin excused all other members and JK didn't leave his side? Didn't start walking until Jimin himself did? How did Jimin initiate JK sticking by his side, exactly?
Here, they BOTH looked at eo at the same time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here.
Tumblr media
So yeah, JK was in on that too! At the same time, asshole. At the same time.
JK grabbing Jimin by the waist and pulling him in.
Tumblr media
Feel free to check out my pinned post for the gif so u can see how cocky JK is about it. Jimin did not see it coming. So no, he didn't initiate it.
JK pulling Jimin.
Tumblr media
Jimin trying to fight it but JK refuses to let go.
Tumblr media
I dont see how Jimin can initiate getting pulled??? Do you?
JK massaging Jimin.
Tumblr media
The act is being done by JK. Understood?
Tumblr media
BOTH play boxing. It's a Jikook thing. Feel free to look it up.
Tumblr media
BOTH taking photos of eo
Tumblr media
Jimin just standing there and JK play punching him
Tumblr media
One again Mimi doing his own thing and JK doing whatever the fuck this was.
Tumblr media
Its hot. Its sexy... its sweet. Its ICONIC. And JK initiated that shit.
JK is the one who started dancing with Jimin
Tumblr media
JK putting a bottle in Jimin's hoodie
Tumblr media
JK knew Jimin was shirtless so he unzipped his hoodie. You know, like one does
Tumblr media
And this right here, this debunks that thing you're saying... how you saw nothing other than brothers. Nothing more. JK preparing his and Jimin's perilla leaves
Tumblr media
It will be my pleasure to remind you that JK believes that only a lover can and should, perilla leaf his partner.
Tumblr media
And yet, look how naturally that came for him. Oh! That's right, Jimin didn't ask. JK did it off his own violation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of lifting... Finally, the moment we Jikookers have been waiting for; Jungkook carrying Jimin. I'll say that one more time, JK is the one carrying Jimin
Tumblr media
Please don't misunderstand, when I say finally I dont mean these are all the moments. These are just the ones I grabbed. There is more to come.
And again...99 percent moments were from jimin's side not jk...as always
Tumblr media
Jikook is a two way motherfucking Street, bitch! Watch your fucking tongue next time you wanna insinuate that Jimin is the only one who puts in the work.
Bitch.

thank god it's over ; sebaciel rant.
Tumblr media
mentions of shotacon, pedophilia, grooming and child sexual abuse.
thank god it's over. thank god people have started to realise how messed up sebaciel was. thank god people started enjoying kuroshitsuji for what it really is. i'm aware of yana tobosu-sensei, i'm aware of what she used to draw, and you could argue that, from the start, sebaciel was supposed to be hinted at with what you call "sexual tension" between a thirteen-year-old boy and a thousand-year-old demon. now, hold on. doesn't that sound strange to you? at least, shouldn't it sound strange?
sebaciel was huge a few years ago, you were almost seen as an outcast if you didn't enjoy it. i must say that as a child watching this and interacting with the fanbase, i did think it was okay. i was younger than ciel himself, so it didn't cross my mind. now that i'm older and look at things differently, it's a wave of relief, seeing that people don't enjoy that anymore. the normalization of these topics in the fanbase is terrifying. i know there's people that still ship this. there's people for everything. i don't want to engage in puritism and ship wars, and what you guys call "anti and proship" discourse. it's fucking stupid and i'm too old for this. just know that i don't want to be grouped with either of you.
this shota stuff is honestly disgusting, and hey, you can call me a hypocrite because i'm sitting on my ass typing a long ass post about kuro out of all things, but i feel like a lot of people were just into it because of the weird shota stuff. the obsession with ciel and the way you guys just nod your heads and say "huh, i think this is acceptable. i sure love interpreting every scene i see as romantic, and i sure love writing erotica about this child with his butler." it's actually disturbing the way you guys handle topics as sensitive as CSA and grooming because at the end of the day, what the fuck is sebaciel? right. pedophilia.
thank god. thank god people are speaking up about the pile of shit this fanbase was. uhh if you want to argue i don't care. i have college work due tomorrow, i don't want to fight with slimy depraved fucks on tumblr. EXPLODE.

I think at this point anyone who calls themselves a proshipper but is like, staunchly aggressively no-matter-what anti-RPF is either deluding themselves or thinks that the concept of "real people being reimagined as fictional characters" hasn't existed for decades at this point.
Everyone was fucking raving about Hamilton and Clone High barely a few years ago. A lot of extremely famous, influential movies are based off of real people, such as The Wolf of Wall Street. Every single fucking cartoon you've seen that references a real life historical figure like Cleopatra or Napoleon is technically doing RPF to some degree. THE MAGIC FUCKING TREEHOUSE IS RPF.
All this is ignoring how much we WORSHIP AO3, but-- but but, the founder of AO3 very much supports RPF. And by supports I mean they actively WRITE RPF. Tons of American Idol stuff that's all obscenely popular!
Now of course, there's gonna be some people who have a kneejerk rebuttal about how it's "different" with historical figures, that it doesn't matter because they're all dead, or that movies and books are different from fanfiction that may or may not be sexual. Except all of those arguments make absolutely zero sense when you think about them for more than two seconds.
Shouldn't the subjects being dead make it... more disrespectful, on a base level? You could made a valid case that with historical figures, nobody is left alive to mourn them. In comparison, people who have died relatively recently still have loved ones alive to mourn their deaths, and who would very likely be negatively mentally impacted by stumbling across an RPF fic. Understandably so--
but wasn't our whole argument that other people's feelings are their own to deal with, and not our responsibility?
You can make a similar case for serial killers, too. The victims of Jeffrey Dahmer still have friends and family that are alive. I would imagine they wouldn't want to see posts sexualizing or glorifying him-- but I doubt they're seeking out anything related to him /at all/, frankly. And then we're back to point one about how all that matters is that shit is consistently tagged and that people simply don't read what they don't like.
In my opinion, the sole, sound argument against RPF would be sexual RPF of minors. Even if no contact or even grooming is happening: that is still sexual content of a living minor. That is CSEM. That is a completely valid thing to be against. I honestly fail to see why sexual drawings of real minors are illegal, but not writings. Still, writings and drawings do not involve the same amount of /direct/ abuse as 'regular' CSEM and CSA, but making the argument of psychological harm is fair, especially when this is a case of a child being directly sexualized against their will.
But then we're still back to square one.
Don't like don't read.
Honestly, I'm neutral on RPF. I'm against anything that involves a sexualized depiction of a real child, and I'm generally not super interested in or comfortable with reading fics about real people, but it's also not a topic I can just disassociate myself from and say that it's somehow disconnected from proshipping. It isn't. Proship communities are built off of the backs of RPF shippers, like it or not. And honestly, I couldn't care less so long as the shipper in question is still respectful of the privacy of the subject(s) they're writing about. The version of the person they're writing is fundamentally not real, and that's a weird thing to wrap your head around. One could even argue my own reasons for singling out child sexual RPF is hypocritical or contradictory, and I wouldn't disagree. I think having mixed feelings on the subject is understandable. But being completely, over-archingly against it due to knee-jerk discomfort? It just seems a bit silly to me.

Recently I've seen a lot of my mutuals (not openly proship or anything but we've dm'd each other and all except one of us is proship) have been passing around posts about letting people ship whatever they want and not giving a fuck about fiction.
One guy who is a very loud anti keeps posting shit like "guys I just feel so ignored right now 🥺🥺🥺 hear me out guys 🥺🥺🥺 I just feel so attacked right now for my opinion🥺🥺🥺 guys please stop reposting that stuff🥺🥺🥺" and it's just. Funny.
Like oh? What's that? You feel attacked for your opinions on ships? You feel like everyone around you is shitting on you? You feel like you don't deserve the hate? (And by hate it's literally just a handful of people reblogging the same 4 posts from each other). Damn. I sure hope you didn't inflict that kind of pain onto others. Sure would be hypocritical of you
Damn
That's... Interesting
Poor attacked anti feeling so attacked because someone else is sharing their opinion 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Have to get this out of my head. I read a post I didn't agree with but I don't want to argue with them. It wouldn't be a good time for either of us. It was about how Nesta is the only female character allowed to express rage. The others (Feyre, Mor, Elain) receive criticism and hate when they react angrily. And no one shits on the guys for being angry and acting on it. I beg to differ. I and lots of people on the antis tag shit on them all the time.
Mor suggested that Nesta should be thrown in CON. People criticize Mor because this place is abusive towards women and is the source of Mor's trauma. According to everyone, these people are vile and evil. Why would she want another woman to go through that? All Nesta did was say that she can't return the compliment about Mor's dress. I don't think Nesta used the word slut. If she did please tell me where. She can be mad about how Nesta treated Feyre in the cabin but that is for Feyre to deal with. The punishment doesn't fit the crime.
The issue with Feyre's anger is that she ends up hurting innocent people as collateral. And at other times it's frustrating because I feel like she doesn't express enough anger (towards Rhysand for UTM and the pregnancy plot mostly). Her revenge on Tamlin worked but she displaced countless innocent spring fae and a good number probably died in the invasion. Also, her thoughtless plan opened up an opportunity for Hybern to launch a deadlier attack on Summer. While KoH is directly responsible for the attack, Feyre is complicit to a certain degree. It would have never happened to that magnitude if Feyre didn't destroy spring's armies leaving the border open. The worst part about all this is that Feyre doesn't feel an ounce of guilt and if she starts to feel bad she just shuts that feeling out. At the high lord meeting, it's justified for Feyre to feel angry towards Beron, but her explosion of power was dumb for diplomatic reasons and burned the LoA. Feyre is also justified for her anger towards Nesta, but that doesn't justify locking Nesta up and destroying her old apartment, which probably displaced the impoverished families living there during a housing crisis. Being locked up by Tamlin is one of the worst moments of Feyre's life so it's really hypocritical to do that to her own sister. What's up with the women of the IC enacting their trauma onto people that piss them off?
Unfortunately, Elain is the center of a shipping war right now. Damned if she does damned if she doesn't. That's how it's going to be until the ship is confirmed and people move on. Elain hasn't done much yet, but it's frustrating how majority of the anger for the cabin years is directed at Nesta.

Op, I'm so sorry for the insane amount of proship "everything is okay in fiction no matter how it's portrayed (including bigotry I guess)" people on your poll
I blocked a few of them because some of the stuff I immediately saw on their blogs made me viscerally uncomfortable and this was better for my sanity in those few instances even though I try to keep as many replies up as possible for the sake of the scientific method even if some of these people are clearly on my DNI.
I hope no one's gonna send me anon hate for this reply or tell me to die because honestly it would be hypocritical given that I always just block and move on, but I think there's very few debates you should be approaching with 0 nuance and this is not one of them. There's definitely people who are taking fandom cancel culture wayyy too far and blow shipping discourse out of proportion but also propaganda exists and fiction doesn't exist in a vacuum and can always feed into pre-existing harmful narratives like racism, bigotry, rape culture and so on. Of course fanworks aren't nearly going to have the same reach as like,,,, children's books from Nazi Germany but it's still adding to a huge pile of pre-existing garbage that does harm minorities. And a lot of people cannot deal with the idea of minorly inconveniencing themselves for the sake of a group that doesn't concern them but then try to paint themselves as this progressive ally to all.
And I feel like at this point I'd be less mad about someone genuinely admitting they do not give a shit whether they're representing something respectfully or not and are okay with being an asshole than someone jumping through 500 hoops to pretend they're our greatest supporter and expecting validation in return.
So I don't think we should be harassing or bullying anyone off this platform for their takes on fiction even if some of them are very, very, very, very questionable and make me lose my faith in humanity for a while but also it's good that we're having this conversation and I think anyone being furious about posts like these that someone made on their own blog in their space without targeting any specific individual just because it's an opinion they disagree with is not actually anti-censorship
So @ anyone considering to send me a death threat over this or start a long exhausting debate in my inbox that I don't have the energy for: Don't like, don't read. Block and move on. Scroll past. Freedom of Speech.
Basically what it boils down to is if you care about marginalized groups you should make an effort to respect and support them even when it doesn't suit you and if you don't care, don't pretend that you do.

it’s crazy that 2023 is almost to an end! Another year that just flew by!
I’ll be honest, I was desperate to post my art somewhere. It’s been kinda a rough couple of years for me. And recently.
I was extremely sad last year. Around this time, actually. Let me paint a picture.
Last year, I switched schools. Which I guess doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it was to me. My whole life was at my other school. My friends. They were the best. As u can probably imagine, I starting at a brand new school is hard. Especially when everyone already knows eachother. This might come as a shocker, but I’m kinda Anti-social when it comes to ppl around my age. (Especially cuz ppl my age are such bitches Lmao) for the longest time, I coped using discord And tik tok. I Even made my own little group. But ofc, that had to come to an end too. after that, I was sad again. For the longest time I had all these ideas, but no one to really share them with.
(cuz none of my irl friends like nor watched tmnt) and recently I ended a friendship w/ someone. We were both in the wrong, I’ll admit. I did say somethings behind her back. Nothing too bad. But it did call her a hypocrite. Because she would always complain about our other friends leaving to hang out w/ other ppl. When she does the exact same thing. And I was alone. Alone at lunch. Just sitting there. She would treat me so..rudely. Just plain rude. I asked her a question (Idk what is was exactly) and she responded with such a rude response. And that was on fucking Halloween. (Which I was sick on) so that’s when the entire friendship fell to shit.
Since then I’ve been hanging out by myself in the library (well, the times it’s open anyway) so u can probably imagine how I feel. Then one day, it all changed. I discover this wonder escape. Tumblr. I signed up and made this acc. And I met such amazing ppl on it.
@allyheart707: has given me good advice on my little comic series, genially super nice, fun to chat w/. I think I’ve been mutuals w/ her for the longest.
@ghosty-0w0: very silly, I have so much fun doing art collabs w/ you!! Again, very nice and thoughtful. Mutuals for a bit but it feels longer!!
@mikey-rottmnt: the ultimate silly, whiteboard was to much fun (I’m gonna try and make another board for us lol), I have no idea how we became mutuals lmao. Very fun to chat w, always open to listen, caring and sweet. I enjoy having conversations w/ u!
@c00kietin: I had a lot of fun drawing u!!!, Irish gang 🍀☘️, that one time I didn’t get sleep was chaotic, very chill, a local amphibia fan!! I wanna talk more w/ u, cuz ur js so cool!!
I Hope y’all have an amazing new year! May the year bring u luck, kindness, adventures (hopefully) not artblock, and alot of ideas!! (Not that anyone of u need them, cuz ur so creative!!)
and dw..Hehe..I will make u all suffer w/ ANGST ANGST AND…fluff. JK MORE ANGST >:))
(no but real talk I will not js do all Angst I swear—)
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE OTHER MUTUALS THAT IK AND ARENT ON HERE, ITS CUX I FORGOT UR TAGS!!!

FFN Might be doing another purge.
Been seeing a lot of shit on my Twitter tl from Antis, because I have mutuals who engage and destroy them on the regular and I got a lovely revelation that someone's fic was removed on FFN cuz it was determined to have violated the rules. This Anti doesn't know why because they claim they are a teenager and they don't write 'disgusting kinky stuff' because they 'aren't a creep'.
And then it's revealed that they wrote a fic about 2 boys, one is 12 and the other is 13. And they in fact, ALMOST had sex but stopped because they're 'too mature' or whatever.
Fact is, this person spends their days on Twitter demanding that everything even remotely sexual be banned from fanfiction and all fandom spaces, that AO3 is evil and needs to be stopped. The whole works. But then they are whining because they legit had minors barely into their pubescence, heavy petting each other and almost having sex. And that content was considered a violation by FFN.
Now, this has shown me two things. 1.) They're a hypocrite but we're not shocked. 2.) FFN is probably doing another purge because regardless of the ages of the characters or the fact that both are male, they still technically didn't have sex in 5he writing so how is it in violation of the rules? IDK all the details about the story and I'm not in the fandom either, but it hardly matters because it seems a bit suspicious.
So I'm gonna monitor some things for a bit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
See if any of these big numbers change.
This is not the first time this week I've seen people claim their fic was removed from FFN. I can't be too sure but it doesn't hurt to watch out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the site Ratings involving things such as kissing, touching, and sex. FFN does not allow MA Rating. That's why so many people migrated to AO3 and other places.
Personally... I've noticed my posted number of fics on FFN is smaller than before. It says 155. I have many fics I've posted on AO3 that would never be posted on FFN because they are too MA for the rules. I also have fics on FFN that I never posted on AO3 cuz the fandom presence for them is miniscule so there would be no point in going through all the effort. But now some are missing and I don't even know which ones.
I have also noticed that my Fav Stories which had over 400 the last time I checked, is down to 326 now.
Tumblr media
It's been so long that I don't even know what is gone. I did make a post and asked if anyone else noticed something missing and I got many affirming responses both here and on FFN(which reminded me to turn off PMs which I thought I'd turned off already).
So yeah, there might be another purge on the horizon if it's not already here. If the site goes down for any reason in the coming weeks, it'll practically be confirmation.

I don't get why any team green supporter would want the "Aemond is the father" theory to be true. It would only serve to undermine team green and shit on Alicent. I've seen many team black people that like this theory and their reasons are: "it's an good ironic twist since Alicent hated Rhaenyra's bastards", "it would highlight team green's hypocrisy, "see, the bastard argument doesn't matter, etc." Basically, they want to use it as "gotcha."
I think this theory only serves to prop up team black and will ruin team green's depiction even more. And no, I'm not a "Helaemond anti." I'm fine if they want to make it romantic instead of platonic, but I'd hate it if they make the kids Aemond's.
i don't know what to tell you anon since i already have a ton of posts in my backlog cataloging those very points so i'm going to redirect you to my helaemond tag. although some stuff might be found under the anon wars tag or inbox antagonism as i got besieged at one point
i'm just going to say that the greens being hypocritical in one regard isn't the end of the world. i don't know why people are so against this, they're not meant to be perfect angels. and they're getting much worse as the story progresses. also this changes nothing for the actual plot.
the bastardy argument absolutely does still matter, because it's a different thing entirely to have plausible bastards you can pass off as trueborn. we all know that if cersei had fathered those children with stannis (lol), we'd be having a different conversation. how would this amount to a gotcha moment for rhaenyra? she doesn't know shit and can't prove shit. meanwhile her children are looking like harwin strong's clones. aegon has got himself very properly targaryen-looking kids.
there's no DNA testing, but people aren't stupid either. those working in agriculture and animal husbandry have been manipulating genetics for thousands of years to get better crops and food without studying chromosomes under the microscope. sure, their understanding was limited, but it's reasonable to assume they would, at the very least, realise that a Rhaenyra-Laenor marriage could not produce Strong features and find it Pretty Sus
but, you know, what actually really bothers us is that no matter how often we explain these things, it gets ignored and unaddressed. so people just regurgitate the same talking points again and again. it's hard to believe people are not doing it in bad faith at this point. not saying that's your intention, anon, but go to any helaemond account and you'll see that we've been over this already. many times. it's really like talking to a wall. and we still get "i don't understand why some people like this idea" type of questions even though there's a lot of ink spilled on the topic already
and these different asks from different anons:
Anonymous asked: I think people get so riled up about Helaemond and for what 😭 it’s a shipper theory. There are minuscule hints in season one, but like you said, the show could very well never do anything with them. That’s it! Why is it always such a big thing lmao
bingo. this is what it amounts to. the show's framing is there, it's implied as a possibility, yes, it's subtext, for the millionth time, we get it. why would any green sympathizer be interested in this? because they'd find exploring those particular themes interesting in a fictional setting. whether it be angst or longing or star-crossed lovers or dreadful secrets that eat you alive and consume you from within.
there are a hundred of different flavours to any ship. you may not like every one but do you even have to? people who hate this theory talk about it more than people who actually like this theory. is that normal?
Anonymous asked: You don’t have to answer, I know you’re done with ship asks, it just confuses me how people on all ends of the spectrum cry about how others are self inserting or wildly changing a ship. F&B barely gives the main characters a ton of attention, ships even less so. Why argue over something that gets one-two pages? It doesn’t seem worthwhile to me. The show is liable to change plenty of things, as we’ve already seen. The rhaenicent dynamic is so different from the book. The idea of them changing other things is incomprehensible? And “making up characterization/personalities/etc”- doesn’t everyone do this? Isn’t this the purpose of fanfic? I feel like I’m in an alternate universe sometimes where the idea of someone developing a side character is not only normal, it’s encouraged. Fandoms do it all the time.
hey there, i'm not ~done with shipping asks, as this is my blog at the end of the day and i can be as annoying as i want. :)) i see both sides of this issue.
one the one hand, it's sometimes baffling how much of a difference there is between the actual presentation within a text / on screen and the fanon interpretations. i think like there is a conversation here and it is sometimes indicative of some other issues. it's not always just innocent, self-aware changes made for fun, sometimes it's also a question of media literacy or personal / societal prejudices at play here.
a personal example from my reading experiences was the fact that i used to encounter a lot of fics where alicent was depicted as this awful mother who hates her children and sees them as tools. i would get so tired of seeing this take (which i consider bullshit for a number of reasons) that it was kind of a frustrating situation, since it seemed that was the (undeserved) way she was being portrayed all over the fandom. it would bother me bc it's also something so prevailing in society today, to demonise women who are trying their best as bad mothers and place the burden of child-rearing on them. for example, people would look at the scene of a distressed alicent trying to calm a continuously crying helaena and would claim that the baby hates her because she is such a horrible mother to her. anyway. many such examples. you can look up my opinions on lucemond, for instance. :))
on the other hand, most fics imply some sort of changes somewhere, whether they're a fix-it, canon divergence, a freaking coffee shop AU, a crackship or characters acting OOC. it's completely normal AND harmless at the end of the day. so, as long as people mind their own business and are not being arseholes to each other, to each their own. the people who want to make these changes should be free to write without getting hate for it and the people who are frustrated by interpretations they dislike can rant about it in their own spaces and that should be that.
it truly becomes an issue when people don't mind others boundaries' anymore, become so hateful with others and resort to name-calling, morality high-horsing and other forms of online harassment and bullying. for example, there are many people who write fics i don't care for or have takes i strongly disagree with, but i've never in my life went to their inboxes to disparage them, send them hate, dictate what they should post, leave comments on their fics, deride their artwork, tell them to kys or any such things. at the end of the day it's about having some basic manners, you know? it's ok to not like stuff and feel frustrated about it, but do you have to make it everyone else's problem? can you not just convey your displeasure in a more considerate way?
Anonymous asked: putting aside that self inserts in fic are as old as time and will never stop being a thing so it’s silly to complain (aemond/ofc has more fic on ao3 than alysmond, helaemond, aegond and daemond combined) I think people throw around that insult the same way they used to make fun of people for even writing fic. like it’s so silly and fangirly and dumb. But what most people are doing with literally any aemond ship is finding a dynamic they enjoy/find interesting and running with it. they expand on the characters because they have to, f&b is so sparsely drawn and the show had to cram 2 decades into 10 episodes. there simply isn’t a lot of source material. so using that as a foundation and crafting more rounded characters isn’t a crime, it’s simply fandom? i don’t relate to having prophetic dreams and marrying my alcoholic brother any more than i relate to being a hot goth milf who can do blood magick. both can be expanded on and played with because that’s what you do when you enjoy media!
this was in reference to a caustic anon that was accusing me of self-inserting into helaena. :)) OP is making some fair points here, i don't have much to add but thought it interesting as a general commentary on fandom
Anonymous asked: Even if you were engaging in ship wars and stoking flames (which you really aren’t, I don’t think any of your personal discussions have been inflammatory) it’s your blog. People can block and unfollow if they dislike the content? I can’t imagine asking someone to confirm more to what I want to see on their blog, as a fan.
yes, thank you, this was sent to me because i sometimes get requests from people asking me not to post something in favour of something else. this particular instance was because i answered other helaemond asks at the time.
is it fair? idk! some of those requests are worded v politely, so i'm not upset by them or anything, but, at the same time, shouldn't this blog be something that caters to me first and foremost? not to toot my own horn, but i should be my first customer in this regard. why else would i post if i don't enjoy doing it? i don't get paid for doing this, it's my own free time involved. if i have a day where i want to post shipping asks instead of something else, why not? if i have a day when i don't want to or can't muster up a coherent answer, i feel like it should be equally fine?
another thing that people don't realise - some might not like a topic or me talking about shipping wars for the 234th time this week, but others do. otherwise i wouldn't be getting so many messages about this. so, by trying to please 1 or 2 people, i might end up displeasing others. is that a good trade-off? this is why i don't even want to start considering my blog in those terms. "pleasing" everyone is an impossible objective, so i might as well just write about things if i enjoy them and not if i don't want to.
similarly, you're never going to find an account that caters 100% to your tastes, so i feel like trying to make it so by putting pressure on other people to post what you specifically want is an endeavour doomed to failure from the start. your first reaction when seeing something you're not interested in should be to scroll past, not to feel the urge to make people aware that you experienced a minor inconvenience and should, therefore, be accommodated accordingly.

Pantalone's Constellation Misinfo and Likely Influence
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello and welcome to Avem rambles where I'm about to take you guys down an insane rabbit hole I discovered at 1 am and stayed up until almost 4 trying to figure out what was going on and losing my mind. And the topic in question is the mystery that is the Constellation that is probably our anti-capitalist king Pantalone's, as shown above.
(However just as a disclaimer, this is not confirmed as of the writing of this in 3.3. Just putting that out there because harbinger con speculation has been going on from day one and anyone who ever claims they are 100% certain a con is for a certain harb, they are from my experience often proven wrong. only confirmed ones are Scara/childe/Sigs. Also just in general this is a theory post and I could be wrong about some stuff, so please let me know if you have evidence that contradicts my points etc. I would love to hear it, this post will go into (spoilers) unquestioned mis-info so I would be hypocritical otherwise)
But yes, if you've been around any Harbinger constellation speculation you have probably heard the claim that this Constellation we are discussing is a symbol for Heresy, and there was a lot of postulating about how it could be Dottore's based on his real name likely being Zandik which means heretic and just in general his whole deal. However as seen above its probably Pantalone's considering he's wearing it, which raises some questions but its not inconceivable for him to be associated with heresy. But ultimately it doesn't matter whose it is, because that's not actually what this post's about, so get ready.
Tumblr media
So, if you've seen anyone talking about this symbol meaning heresy, you've probably seen one of the above pictures, or some similar variation. Or maybe when you googled "heresy symbol" you saw these symbols in the results. That's what I did, and immediately alarm bells went off in my head.
Because, all these pictures have one thing in common, all their sources have one thing in common. They all link to stock image sites. ALL OF THEM. There were more examples, but every picture on google images of this symbol or a variation all linked to a stock image site, to these generic corporate simplified icons. And none of those sites had their source, they were often bundled with other generic religious symbols, some normal and others equally weird.
So I took a different angle, I looked up "heresy religion" and other derivatives to find some actual historical/religious sources. Maybe its just because we live in a corporate hell and these ones got sent to the front of the line. But I looked, and looked, and looked. No actual scholarly source has this symbol anywhere. Because the thing is, despite what these stock images say, Heresy is not an official region (or even a cult). Because by definition, heresy is just a derivative of a religion, an action that goes against religious doctrine. And even me looking into 'heretical' religions by other names gave me no results. None of their symbols are similar beyond maybe a cross motif which means nothing.
(side note If anyone can actually find a proper source that uses this symbol, I will love to see it. prove me wrong though I'll be honest as what I'm about to get into, I don't think u can)
So at this point I was pulling out my hair because what the fuck. Where did this symbol even come from!? Why is this symbol associated with heresy? It was a terrible hour of the night but I didn't care, I had to figure it out.
Which is when I saw something that clicked something into place and lit up a path to the future. That suddenly made me remember something else that had kept popping up in my searches but I just dismissed because obviously it has nothing to do with my search for heresy.
Warhammer 40,000
Tumblr media
I found it!
Tumblr media
Holy shit. Its not a cross its a SWORD
So yes, lets backtrack slightly. So in my journey to find the heresy, Warhammer 40k kept popping up. Both in the images and in the normal search linking to the wiki etc. But beyond a cursory glance to confirm I didn't see the symbol, I dismissed it because obviously it has nothing to do with this. It was just popping up because Heresy was a term used in the game, but the symbol for its was this:
Tumblr media
Which was not what I was looking for (also should mention I know basically nothing about warhammer, but from my googling this is also a symbol of a civil war not a religion). But then of course I saw the other symbol above, and went wait fuck and proceeded to do a deep dive.
Won't pretend I have actually learned anything about Warhammer, but thats fine this isn't really about Warhammer either, its about the internet.
Because you see the Warhammer community like any good community, has its memes. And what is one such meme from Warhammer: The Heresy meme
Tumblr media
When I googled "warhammer 40k heresy" the first sujestion was to add "meme" to it, and from what I've researched its a super popular old meme. And while not immedietly connected to the above symbol, it does show up. For example, in the "Heresy symbol" google search from earlier, there's this one:
Tumblr media
And hey look, there's a cross symbol with the wings. Also fun fact, in a lot of the "heresy symbol" designs theres an orb shape between the wings. Well look at this:
Tumblr media
Oh look at that, isn't that similar.
So yes, long story short I'm fairly certain the so-called "heresy symbol" is not in fact some ancient symbol, but in fact a reference to Warhammer that went through an extreme game of internet telephone resulting in stock media sites copying the symbol from each other and it bit by bit transforming it into something unrecognizable and then into obscurity (these things have no downloads on these sites). Only for one day a genshin theorist to accidentally google something super specific and find them and take it at face value and now I see people claiming its a heresy symbol all the time. I'm torn between laughing and crying. The power of misinformation.
So, what is this constellation supposed to be then, if it isn't a heresy symbol (we are assuming hoyo did proper research and didn't use a symbol for heresy that isn't actually a thing). Well fun fact, part of the reason I did research on this thing was that I already had a theory about it and was really confused why everyone was calling it a heresy symbol. And was like, I guess I'll look into it to see why everyone was saying that and well u know the rest.
But yes, this constellation. I'm fairly certain its actually supposed to be referencing a Globus cruciger. Aka one of these things:
Tumblr media
Hey, isn't that shape familar. It also much like the original constellation, the cross ends at the orb.
So what is this thing and how does it relate to Pantalone (we are assuming its his constellation, he's wearing it)
According to the wiki (which is properly sourced) its:
"known as 'the orb and cross', is an orb surmounted by a cross. It has been a Christian symbol of authority since the Middle Ages, used on coins, in iconography, and with a sceptre as royal regalia.
The cross represents Christ's dominion over the orb of the world, literally held in the hand of an earthly ruler. In the iconography of Western art, when Christ himself holds the globe, he is called Salvator Mundi (Latin for 'Saviour of the World')."
Huh, a symbol of royalty, power, and riches, how apt. Also fun fact here's one of the Russian ones because these are our fake Russian's after all.
Tumblr media
And if you weren't convinced by that, I have something else to tell you.
Also a quote from the wiki:
"The globus cruciger was used as the alchemical symbol (♁) for antimony. It was also used as an alchemical symbol for Lupus metallorum “the grey wolf” supposedly used to purify alloyed metals into pure gold."
An Alchemical symbol associated with the purification of GOLD. Genshin loves their alchemy and even disregarding that, this constellation is probably Pantalone's aka the Harbinger's money man.
Who has this quote from the Pale Flame set, "Money is the lifeblood of the world, and the pathways along which it flows are the world's arteries. Then, the center of the world is a heart made of gold."
Pantalone a man who desires to control the world through controlling money.
"We shall, by whatever means necessary, become the heart that pumps money around the world." "And, when the moment comes, that heart shall cease beating by our will alone."
The Globus cruciger is literally symbolic of a ruler holding the world in their hands. A symbol of gold and power, it suits Pantalone perfectly.

You have become one of my favorite blogs. For several reasons.
Your art is fantastic.
Your writing is so good. Like really. Never stop.
You're a funny motherfucker.
But the main reason?
You don't give a SHIT.
I'll elaborate lmao
There are so many antis out there. So many petty people who feel the need to drag others for anything they don't agree with. There are Bluffy shippers that get attacked on Twitter, on here and just about anywhere else they decide to reveal themselves. They get shit on and called names for literally NOTHING. Hypocritical assholes who just can't stand when someone is happy with something they don't like. People who act like you're the antichrist for something as stupid as an age gap or something that isn't technically "canon"
I have been a target myself for some of my Bluffy art and it always upsets me. I get my shit screenshot and then I get blasted for something fictional 😕
But you? It doesn't faze you. You couldn't give a fuck less what people have to say, and I envy that so much. You dust off your shoulders and keep creating some of the best Bluffy content I've ever seen. Seriously, I love when you post and you post with zero regrets. I wish I was like you. I wish the antis didn't bother me.
I'm always showing my friends your work and several of us are currently reading your fic. Please don't ever stop creating. You may not know it, but you make me feel seen. That sounds really sappy, but it's true. A lot of people love what you do and we love your don't give a fuck attitude. It's refreshing for the people who are too shy or too afraid to post their work.
It always pisses me off when I find out someone is bullied into silence or anonymity. There is no reason to hate on something that hurts absolutely no one. No one should be afraid to post their art or share their favorite pair.
You shouldn't be afraid. There are fuckers on this site shipping people with animals for fuck's sake. People who draw monster porn, furry porn and fuck knows what else. And you're feeling scared to post a ship that has an age gap? Fuck, that just doesn't sit right with me. They're literally both adults. Didn't Damon and Stefan Salvatore flirt with a literal high school girl? The age gaps in Supernatural are wild as fuck. (And just to be clear, I'm not hating on those fandoms. I love me some vampires and demons🥴)
Not to mention the people the same fucking age as Luffy shipping themselves with Buggy? Everyone seems okay with that. It's hypocrisy at it's finest, kid.
Fandoms can be extremely toxic and I'm so sorry you got treated so horribly. My blog will always be a safe space and I will never stop posting or answering my asks. I do hope at some point, you feel confident enough to post again. Antis will never go away and they'll never stop being complete assholes. There's no reason for them to screenshot your shit and blast it. A block button is a beautiful thing. They have options, and every time, they choose to act holier than thou. There are times it does bother me. It really just pisses me off more than anything else, but it's not gonna stop me. I'm not hurting a single damn person and neither are you.
I'm flattered that you love my work so much and that you share it with whoever you can. Fuck what they say. Keep making whatever art you like and shove it down their throats. Eventually, they'll see that their behavior has no effect on you and they'll back off. And if they don't? Fuck it. Keep drawing anyway.
Idc who you are. I'm someone you can come to if you need to talk. I'll listen and let you get it all out. Life is hard enough and I'll never understand the people out there who want to make it worse. That's not me.

Lostryu outed you as a TERF here
(here is the link if you can’t click it) www.tumblr DOT com/violettfae/738581960616738816/and-there-it-is-hahahahahhahahaa
Oh that's funny.
The truth is I post a lot of female rage content on this site. I encourage a form of "radical" feminism that promotes violence against anti-choice lawmakers, against men. But I draw the line at rhetoric which excludes trans people from participating in that rage.
I post some pandering to queer tumblr when I agree with them, and yes if I think a terf says something that's kind of true, I'll reblog it. I'm also pretty outspoken about the ways terfs are wrong, in a way that wouldn't get accomplished if I just ignored all their talking points.
I'm not here to join a club. I'm here to state my opinions on femininity, and get what I want. Am I thin-skinned? Am I hypocritical? Is my housekeeping sub-optimal? Sure. This is a reactionary blog.
Cus at the end of the day, this isn't about my feelings. This is about how terfs - if you bother to take their arguments at face value - have some very strange ideas about what lesbianism is, regardless of whether I'm a lesbian or what the lgbt community at large thinks of me. I'm not upset that people are mean to me; that's what I came here for. I'm upset that people out there hold wrong beliefs; blocking or even unfollowing them wouldn't fix that. I'm more than an ally; I'm a member. And you can call me a shit ally, but I'm not going anywhere.
PS how do you get that underwater effect? Never mind it looks bad.
PPS you do realize that post where I said everything Saul did was ok because he was serving his woman was a JOKE right?
But no really, if you can point me to something @radicalwavedude has said that was transphobic, I'll unfollow. The worst I've seen was an - honestly pretty reasonable - thinkpiece about how transitioning didn't solve one person's problem's with the patriarchy.
Anyway thanks for the update.

crazy thought but i just saw a bunch of anti-taylor swift stuff on my dash and kinda realized people are using the excuse of her being rich and white to be misogynistic and kinda homophobic? idk like it's worth criticizing exactly how rich she is and also how a lot of her takes are kinda white feminist ones, but i think saying things like "the patron saint for bland white tasteless girls" while posting very pro-barbie stuff on your dash is really hypocritical.
even if you don't think she's excellent, barbie (2023) literally said something like "you don't have to be extraordinary to earn respect" or something.
i'm seeing this kinda gross return to misogynistic tumblr circa 2012/2013 and it's not cute. this is not to say that white women can't be criticized, or that white women have it harder than some, but it is to remind people that just because there is an aspect (or many) of privilege about a person, that doesn't give you the go-ahead to say misogynistic shit too.
also side note: the number of white people i see saying "black people don't listen to her music" is actually absurd. you should not be saying that. that is not a conversation we should be a part of, imo. whether that's true or not is not up for white people to debate jfc.
same with literally anyone saying "taylor swift is not gay people music." hate to break it to you, but an artist does not have to be gay to make gay people music. even if she is (which is not the point of this post), there are gay people who listen to her music, including queer people of color. it just means she's not YOUR type of gay people music. and that's fine! that is so totally okay!! you do you, i'll do me. but please don't be homophobic about it, even if ur queer, just because you don't like her music good GOD

This post is partly a response, and an alternative pov, to this post by @roo-bastmoon so you might want to read it first!
I don't care if Angel Pt. 1 "flops".
1. Jimin would not give a shit. It's a soundtrack, he probably doesn't even care about how well his solo songs sell, least of all a 30 second collab.
2. The only people who would care are Armys because antis would start calling Jimin a flop and it's all about pride to them.
3. Everyone in Hollywood knows Jimin is popular and that Army will buy literally anything to support BTS, so if the song they expect to sell well actually doesn't, it will clue them in that something's wrong, and they're not dumb enough to think it's Jimin. Even if they are, I guarantee you that Hollywood will neither drop BTS if the song does badly nor rush to hire them if it does well. They already know BTS and their power. This song will never have a huge impact.
4. Nothing is pure and we buy stuff from shitty people all the time, true, but, counterargument, if that's our reply to everything nothing will change, and it's easier to actually do something about one single individual vs. an entire company or industry. You can hardly change Universal Studios by boycotting this song, but, by protesting against it and unleashing the full power of Army against it (with negative hashtags on Twitter or TikToks or something) we might be able to do something about this one man. Of course, Army would consider that an embarrassment to Jimin, so only antis would ever do that.
5. I was less bothered by Dreamers because the issues with the World Cup went beyond that particular edition, and because it seemed like Islamophobia was rampant in people's outrage. It was also the case of the issue going beyond a person and of the exposure it brought to countries in the Middle East (shunning them won't bring change to them either). I was angry at how hypocritical people were being about the World Cup in Qatar so I had a positive reaction to it comparatively. I understand this post will make me seem like a hypocrite, which I am by definition, and anyone who boycotted Dreamers was well within their right. I'm glad the song did well and it flopping definitely would not have impacted FIFA. It would have meant less money to them and Hybe however, and they do not deserve a single penny. But the case with Jimin might be different, because while soccer is loved by billions, this one dude might actually be affected by a full scale campaign against him. He's not famous enough to be above that (but Hollywood probably doesn't care). Jungkook being the first and only Asian to perform at the World Cup, which is a global event that has existed for decades, is a lot more impactful to society than Jimin in a song for The Fast and The Furious, and I mean no disrespect to Jimin. I do think the issue with Angel Pt. 1 is more clearcut than, say, buying clothes from a sweatshop (though I have plenty of alternatives to that as well, DM if you want to know). I'm not saying boycotting the song would ruin Kodak Black's career but it would be the right thing to do. Even better would be donating all the money fans want to spend on Jimin to a women's charity in his name. The press would be all over that and it would bring shame to the franchise. It would be bad press to Jimin though...
My point is, Jimin will not care either way we choose. The fans' pride and competitiveness is honestly the only thing at stake. We're not thinking of Jimin, we're thinking of ourselves. For example, Jimin would be happy if we donated money in his name instead of buying the song, given the reasons. It would be a good lesson to Hybe at least, as well.
Like, it's not that I don't understand or that I condemn everyone who buys this song, but I don't like the argument that we're supporting Jimin and doing a good thing.
