hi hii so,,, after a lot of thought and contemplating i think it’d be best for me to archive this blog </3

i came to tumblr nearly a year ago and it’s been fun but now i’m drained + uninspired, n i js have so much stress n negative emotions associated w this blog that now its time to leave and maybe start anew ?

i’ve gone back and forth with if i should delete my works here or not bcs ik lots of people love them but they’ve js been a constant bad reminder to me and i’m not proud of most of them anymore :<< but as of rn i’ll be leaving them + this blog up!!

js kinda being on here stresses me out and its no longer fun so i hope that by doing this i can have some peace + you still get to read my old stuff :3

Rant under the cut (people telling me to change things about my blog [like the way I tag things???] and just general Rings of Power hate towards me

Hey just so you know, it's not my job to cater my personal blog (that I made for fun) to your personal preferences. This is a Rings of Power & LOTR blog. I am going to post about both because it's my blog. If you only follow me for my Rings of Power stuff, great! If you only follow me for my LOTR stuff? Also great! follow me for both? Awesome! Spectacular even! but like, If you don't like one of the fandoms I post about, then block the tags or just ignore it instead of going onto MULTIPLE OF MY POSTS and messaging me, telling me what to change about MY BLOG.

This is all because I tagged something Rings of Power related with a LOTR tag and a few people got mad at me (comments and messages) saying that "The Rings of Power isn't LOTR??? Can you not tag it like that I don't want to see Rings of Power stuff. I follow for LOTR" like what???

They exist in the same universe whether you like it or not?? And lots of people tag TROP stuff with LOTR tags too. Plus, sometimes I am talking about both in the same post (like comparing and contrasting things that are the same or different from the show and movies) so I am going to use both tags for that. Besides, why are you telling a complete stranger who posts her stuff for fun to make her blog okay for YOU? I make my blog and posts for me so... Maybe just block me and move on if you don't like how I post things, or tag things.

Also, it's not my problem if you don't like Rings of Power?? Don't interact with it then?? Like, you can control that? My blog is pretty clearly a Rings of Power blog. I literally have Morfydd Clark's Galadriel as my pfp lol

If you don't like it don't interact with it. I could care less if somebody hates the show I genuinely enjoy because it doesn't affect my enjoyment if someone dislikes it. Just don't be a bully and don't tell me how to run my blog because it's upsetting when the only comments I get are "I don't like this show can you stop posting about it," and "Don't use those tags pls I don't like seeing Rings of Power on my feed."

Cater your experience to you and I'll cater my experience to me. If you are going to be entitled and tell me how to run my blog, I am just going to block you <3

If you're not too busy, would you mind listing some of the things you think count as death flags for Mr. Spender?

There's the obvious fact that he's the "old" mentor to group of young protagonists, but what else do you think would count?

OHH BOY ok so I'd think I'm a crackpot for this but since we're talking about Zack "Foreshadowing" Morrison. I have some thoughts

No harm in leading with the (chronologically) first thing that jumped out at me:

This one IMMEDIATELY made me antsy whenever I came back to it after my initial read, and considering Zack has referred to it on twitter in the past as one of their favorite jokes it's definitely not been forgotten about.

Second, the sheer amounts of near-misses, jokey or not, of Spender narrowly avoiding specifically lightning

Again, not much, but it's weird that it happened thrice, latter two of which had real gravitas rather than an one-off joke.

And third, Spender himself. He's repeatedly shown himself to be kind of a self sacrificing idiot, as well as prideful to a fault. Granted, it's both him and Mina trying to take on all the responsibility of saving Mayview and its inhabitants from their fate.. But Spender is exactly that right measure of doesn't-value-himself-enough (chest footprint aftercare or lack thereof), having an obscene amount of power (enables his loner act + pride) and poor judgement that has the capacity to put him at great risk. And it has!

Spender has not only shown low enough self-esteem to view himself as the de-facto scapegoat for the safety of the town, but also prideful enough to make very bad calls that end up in people, often himself, hurt (COUGH FORGE INCIDENT COUGH)

This is all conjecture, but it's definitely enough to make me worried about him :') Even if all this doesn't mean he'll necessarily die he's definitely getting (even more) seriously injured at some point. I love the guy but he's so far doing a horrible job of convincing me he wants to live bad enough to circumvent at least that

I was thinking about doing a 30th birthday self portrait, which I still may do, but I also thought I'd revisit this self portrait I did when I was 20! It took ages for me to dig out the original reference photo, but it was worth it.

This is based on a screenshot from a short film I appeared in in my sophomore year of college, which was a play on silent films and had some really creative captioning throughout (including, at this moment, SHE WAS CONFUSED floating next to my face - hence the caption on the revisit)!

I tried to keep as close to their more typical routes as possible, but did fudge some things for visual similarity: For Lee, df+4 isn't guaranteed after the flip kick (normally you'd cc 4,u+3 or ws.2,3 instead) and Blazing Kick normally isn't used as a regular combo ender, but for Asuka's imitation route, only Demon Slayer would reach after b+2,4,3. BK and DS are functionally similar moves so it felt like an appropriate substitution.

I'm so happy to announce that last Monday I was officially (or as close as you can get over here) diagnosed as autistic!

It was almost 5 years ago when I started questioning if I was autistic, and only two years ago did I start going to therapy, where I was diagnosed with ADHD and misdiagnosed with OCD, but my therapist refused to acknowledge and test me for autism (not like she tested for the others either, she just asked me why I thought I was autistic and used that to diagnose the other things).

Then a few months ago I left her because she sucked and started going to my current therapist, which finally acknowledged that I was autistic!

We don't have actual tests that give you a document over here (or they're very rare and expensive, I don't even know where I could find a place for those), so this is as close as it can get to an official diagnosis, and I'm so glad to finally have people believe me!

I'm also super grateful for people online that talk about their experiences and needs, since that was one of the things that made me realize that I was in fact neurodivergent.

I still struggle with imposter syndrome and constantly have to remind myself that I am neurodivergent and have needs that I must take care of, but this is a huge step in feeling more comfortable with the idea of me being neurospicy and properly taking care of myself <3
