(I shoved this into my drafts and forgot about it. Here now to say: i made battery acid spaghetti. I liked the taste, it made my stomach feel a bit weird. It hurt a bit, but it wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t make it again, but I would drink it again. Not recommended though)

Cork - 5/12/2022

The two hundred and thirty second friend. A cork. He often represses his emotions instead of sharing them. He doesn't like to express anything and keeps all his feelings close to his heart. Part of this is because he has always been like that. He keeps himself to himself. He's been doing it for so long now that he doesn't know how to do anything else. Talking about things that relate to him just doesn't come naturally to him. He tries to get better every now and then but he has never mastered it. Another reason for this is his fear. He's scared that everyone will leave him behind if he tells them something he doesn't like. Even if he struggles to show it, he cares a great deal for those around him. He doesn't want to lose them. His friends are patient with him though. They'll take what he is comfortable with sharing and not push him for more. They wouldn't leave him if he showed more of himself and they'll stay with him through the small snippets he gives them.

i have to say in general it bothers me a little the idea that any love interest having any issues with buck & eddie's relationship (or buck's relationship with the whole 118 for that matter) would make that love interest wrong or immature or whatever. everyone is different, has different emotional needs, and i think someone realizing they actually need more from someone than frequently being chosen second would be a totally valid thing and would not make them a bad person.

answer me this: would you be singing the same tune if buck was dating someone who consistently prioritized his friend(s) over him?

im so crazy over the tragedy of everything q!bbh does being under a demon pretense even though he's a fallen angel.

do u think he just accepts the demon label because it's easier. do u think he believes it too, and catches himself in his thoughts with "oh, right. im not exactly that". and maybe he believes that he did this to himself? do u think what he did was to protect himself or someone? no matter the fall, he still has so much kindness to give and his brain just isn't wired the way a natural-born demon would be, he can't hold back instincts when time demands it, maybe that's why he fell in the first place.

and when he's finally bad, not good, it's treated like the end of the world, without empathy on why he would act out. do you think this keeps happening? the same scenario, multiple times, every timeline? he has to be used to it. so he has to take it in stride. he's good until he lashes out under extreme pressure, and suddenly he's called demon. and once again he's what heaven made him out to be. what he made himself to be, his brain would ruthlessly provide...

i don't think he wants to be that, though he hides secrets behind secrets of which neither identity is a home... but i don't think he wants to have to change, either. and i don't think that's wrong of him.

Wow, that's a whole other repost to the one I thought it was going to be, lol. It's been reposted to TikTok once before, and I'm also not surprised this person got it from Reddit, where I doubt I was credited either.

At the end of the day I appreciate the heads up but there's nothing I can really do about it. The most helpful thing anyone can do is to leave comments on the reposts to provide credit,* because if artists ever try and comment then we pretty invariably get attacked. Don't be mean or aggressive, that just builds their animosity towards the artists, but I do think people respond positively to outside pressure to do the right thing 🤷

*Remember to make sure there's enough context - eg. something like "art by @ landegart on Twitter" is more searchable/useful than "artist is Landeg" to someone on TikTok who has no idea who I am haha

Over the years, I've gotten a lot of cis people messaging me about how they should go about dating or courting somebody who's trans, and I always felt like my responses would almost... disappoint them because there isn't this magic secret to dating us.

Cis people, if you want to date us, just date us. We're human beings, we're not wild animals to tame! I promise you can have a healthy relationship with a trans person without needing to feel like the world will end if you mess up.

Trans people who date cis people often want to feel secure in your acceptance of them. You don't have to talk about our transness for hours on end to prove that you accept your loved one. You don't have to put on a display and cabaret about how Much You Accept Us. Just be a person around us, and let us be people, too!

I almost want to disappoint cis people by reminding them of this. Some of the best relationships I've had with cis people have been ones where my transness is acknowledged, sure, but it's acknowledged in the same way that my left-handedness is. It's not a joke to them, it isn't something to be horrified about, but it's also something that they don't objectify me for.

ABSOLUTELY 100%, I wouldn't dream of axxing that part. What I want to do with it, in particular, is deeply reframe it.

Needletail gives her life for Violet, dies trying to atone for a massive mistake she made in supporting Darktail from the beginning and keeping Mistfeather's murder to herself, but... that doesn't make up for what she's done.

They were all young and mislead. Needletail never should have been responsible for another child; but she'll demand for Rowanstar to back up her claim out of entitlement. She realizes that she's done something awful by separating the sisters, and lands them all in trouble by having them meet secretly. She loves Darktail's capricious rules and how they can control others together-- until the rules apply to her too.

And Violetshine deals with that, forever. She's actually ending up in a polycule in BB; with Tree and with Dragonfly. She has a hard time trusting anyone outside of her mateships. Her adopted siblings adore her and miss her, but she can't handle ever going home because of what ShadowClan and The Kin did to her.

Needletail died for her, after living a selfish life. She was her best friend and the reason why her life was a living hell. A grand gesture can't make up for all that.

What I like about them is how painful and complicated that is... and how little time it takes for Violetshine to suddenly be the same age as Needletail was when she died. They were both just kids. And Needletail never truly became an adult.

with gojo, geto and even kenjaku dead, do you think satosugu's story is completely over? because for me personally, if this is the end of their story, it feels kinda unsatisfactory and inconclusive. i hope we get more content and there are so many questions about their story that still need to be answered. i dont expect gojo's censored last words to geto to be revealed ever but i hope we get at least a somewhat conclusive ending.....

Their story had a conclusive ending, they're not the main characters so no matter how much we crave for more bits of satosugu this is what we have and this is how they ended. I don't necessarily find it unsatisfactory considering both of them served their purposes and we got another top notch satosugu angsty crumb till gojo's last breath (that panel of him saying "my only disappointment is that you weren't there to give a slap on the back" and geto's tears). I don't think we should drag it out or find any other means to insert more stsg when it isn't even their story, sad but true. This is it for us, they happened, it was beautiful and then it ended.
