I too do not condone murder in the slightest; however, I portray fictional murders, stalking, and all other non-safe events in my series as something that you should NOT do in real life. I also do not write the events of real murders in non-educational views + twisting the true story in order to try and gain fame and fortune from another's unfortunate reality (looking at the questionable TV shows like Jeffery Dahmer and such...)

HOWEVER, everything in Star Patient is fictional, and is supposed to be written and viewed as grotesque, something that should not be replicated in real life, and is meant to unsettle you for a nice thrill or at least cope with fantasies in a very safe way that shouldn't mingle with real life.

With that being said, allow me to get on with the spoilers. Please note, chapter 8 is still being written so everything may not be the final draft. Please be aware, the following content below will possibly be split in different chapters, so this is spoilers for all future Star Patient chapters as of July 27, 2024.

These spoilers will be solely bits of dialogue. I will not directly give out who said what, and I also will not provide any clues as to what's happening as to not destroy any shock value or plot twists in future chapters. You can try and figure out the story yourselves; however, I don't want to directly ruin the emotional impact of the story, so my lips are sealed for any specific events! I do accept questions of the characters, future series ideas (non-spoilers), and any other fun questions.

...Anyway OPERATION GROUNDHOG AU

Ice and Maverick are at one hundred and sixty-three pushups, Ice looking increasingly like he was going to go find Payback and shake him bodily until his brain came back online, when Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw stomps over and unceremoniously hits the tarmac next to Ice, clearly absolutely spitting mad.

Hondo pauses. Maverick, frozen midway through raising from a pushup, forces himself to finish the motion. Ice, holding a plank, looks between them, clearly unsure how he feels about being in the middle of this seething mass of tension.

“Alright,” Hondo says slowly. “You’ll be at thirty-seven when these two are done, Rooster.”

Rooster grunts.

“One-sixty-four,” Hondo says, and Maverick completes a pushup on instinct.

“He get you too?” he asks, lamely, because obviously the Captain had.

“No,” Rooster growls. “I like doing pushups for fun.”

“One-sixty-five!”

“Listen, no judgment,” Maverick says, finishing a pushup too. “Asshole made me stall out mid-spin because he fuckin’ knew I wouldn’t hold the rudder long enough--”

“One-sixty-six!”

“--and got Ice while I was righting my damn jet.”

“You could have just not done a high yo-yo in a brand new aircraft,” Ice mutters. He sounds kind of amused, though--admittedly less amused than pre-pushups--so Maverick doesn’t take it personally.

“One-sixty-seven!”

“No, no, I could not have just not done it, have you met me?” Maverick asks, and Ice snorts. “How’re we supposed to learn anything if we don’t push these ladies, Ice, hm? Point is, the Captain is fucking with all of us, and I do not appreciate it. How’d he get you, Rooster?”

“One-sixty-eight.”

Rooster doesn’t answer for one-sixty-nine or one-seventy. Maverick cringes.

“Strong silent type,” he says finally. “No worries, no worries. I can fill the air for all of us.”

“He can,” Ice says, because he’s a damn good wingman and knows when Maverick needs a backup straight man in a conversation.

“One of my many talents,” Maverick agrees, gratefully. “Right under fucking up high yo-yos in new aircraft.”

“One-seventy-one,” Hondo says, and his voice shakes a little like he’s suppressing a laugh. Maverick looks up and winks at him while he’s doing his pushup.

“I got him into a defensive spiral and pulled out right before we hit the hard deck, and he reversed positions and got me on lock when I didn’t drop down to weapons envelope,” Rooster says suddenly.

Maverick pauses and then whistles low. 

“One-seventy-two.”

“That’s closer than I got,” Maverick says. “Fucker using the hard deck against you. One of our instructors did that to me first day at Top Gun.”

“And you broke the hard deck to get tone,” Ice interrupts, voice very dry.

“One-seventy-three.”

“And it didn’t count, because of the fuckin’ hard deck,” Maverick agrees. “Probably made the right call there, honestly. Saved yourself a reaming from the brass.”

“Not that Mav’d know anything about that,” Ice offers up.

“A third talent,” Maverick says easily, grinning.

On Ice’s other side, Rooster’s starting to relax a little.

“You really can just run your mouth, huh?” Rooster asks.

“You have no idea,” Ice drawls.

Rooster snorts.

“Alright, that’s enough chatter, gentlemen,” Hondo says, amused. “One-seventy-four!”

Maverick completes pushup one-seventy-four, and feels like the real winner today either way.

Okay I have calmed down from the leaks since last night- And I have opinions (some of them are salty; again, it's because I hate leak nights XP)

Yeah I stand by what I said: This isn't the end for Tenko, since his Quirk is still half of Overhaul's, there's a chance he'll get a Quirk Awakening the vestige world (or wherever the frick that dude is, AFO/OFA all but were mutually destroyed).

So maybe it is a rebirth (If there's a chapter called "Tenko Shimura: Rising" or "Rebirth" remember I called it XD) for him, either rising from the ashes like a phoenix or even shedding that coccon from the butterfly metaphor, it is one of his motifs after all.

I'm also split 50/50 on Izuku ending the series Quirkless, but I believe it's a red herring- because he and Tenko did fist bump before he decayed, bloodied fist. OFA has a conscience of it's own, so if you say it was a "Heroes: Rising" ending I'm gonna have to ask "from the drafts" or the "final product". But to be fair I was already biased when it comes to this outcome.

Also, that thing from Chapter 362, I'm still on edge about that one; because it could've been an afterlife thing but he doesn't even know what Aura Might looks like, so maybe we'll get a return on that (I'm sorry for constantly bringing it up but I refuse to believe that was a small easter egg HORIKOSHI WHY WAS KATSUKI THERE-)

Oh yeah, speaking of which: if the goal was a perfect victory with no casualties, then Izuku won against AFO to save Tenko, but the mission isn't finished yet until he sees Tenko taking his hand with a smile; how is he gonna do that, unsure, but he does have a knack for making unlikely things happen. Remember, Eri herself wasn't saved until she smiled at the Cultural Festival.

Also maybe (and it's a huge maybe) that's the thing that breaks the hidden POV- faced with a failure from the very thing he was trying to avoid, breaking down because. Well look at everything he got thrown at him post-PLF, burdened to save the world, failing to save someone and realizing he can't be a sitting duck, finding out one of his friends was a traitor, didn't even get time to process Katsuki's death, thought he'd be unable to stop Toshinori's, for a brief moment lost his arms-

This one might actually make him get close to a Despair Event Horizon, (I'm 100% sure if Mirio wasn't there he'd shut down by 367) ... then somehow, he gets convinced to not give up, of course it's by Katsuki (he's already there might as well XP) because he's the only one that can make things stick in Izuku's head atp, finding the motivation and getting that mixed with determination to say it's not over yet. And it isn't.

Besides, I don't trust the leakers to do a good translation over bait interactions, they've done it three times that I know of, so uh maybe don't gather your emotions from what they say; trust me, it's an annoying spiral of doomerism.

... plus if Tenko actually somehow transferred something of AFO/OFA they don't have the vestiges anymore so uh maybe something is still shimmering under the surface (I'm getting my own hopes up XD). Also again I do want a follow-up on 362 because I want Tenko and Katsuki to interact it'd be very funny even with the angst in my freaking opinion please-

And one more thing: I have yet to see Izuku reaching out with a smile to save others like he wanted in the first place.

TL;DR: It's most likely a red herring, Tenko is gonna shed the Tomura mask he was trapped in and come back somehow, maybe the vestige world is intact but without the users or AFO, and I still wanna know what the fuck was 362 about. Also no offense but.

This fight is only gonna be a loss if Izuku finally breaks down, gives up and no one (*cough*letsberealitsKatsuki*cough*) is able to convince him otherwise. And we get a shit time skip. Either of the last two would have to happen for this to be real and it hasn't yet so wait this ain't over.

THEN we have a present-day time skip, gabriel being a very good assistant in the shop

again after the SC theory i think that gabriel lost the box and instead god somehow sends aziraphale the record and address as a clue

aziraphale (unsure of the genesis here) starts researching the jukebox and the everyday song, presumably buys the record from maggie

aziraphale in the bookshop, looking at the jukebox articles, crowley storms in, "im back" see below!!!

THEN second time aziraphale approaches crowley, pub drink ft crowley in jeans and a nice top™ which i think is actually his work top™, then the clip ✨a cLuE✨

crowley and shax in the bentley having a heart to heart, and i worry that she essentially tempts him into luring goob out of the shop so hell can get to him and crowley can get back his precious 😭 peaceful 😭 existence with aziraphale EDIT FOLLOWING THIS!!! I think she definitely tells him to get chummy with aziraphale again

AND NOW we have the "im back" scene

possibly the beelzebub clip from them in hell? possibly an interaction between them and shax? beelzebub manifests as a fly and plays a game of tag in the bookshop with goob, trying to make up for their failure in losing track of jesus

at some point the other angels come to the bookshop to interrogate aziraphale for if he has seen gabriel, believes he's lying, and resolve to send in their ✨top agent✨

3. I KNOW WHERE I’M GOING

main storyline summary:

UPDATE 2 re: the meme template prime just gave us: so what IF AZIRAPHALE goes to the pub, asks if theyve seen goob, the pub owner (who is in the meme) says "shhhhh I have some intel meet me at the graveyard at 6", aziraphale goes and they show him a pic of gabriel in the pub like removing the everyday record from the jukebox? bc gabriel removed it and that's why the jukebox is now stuck on that song??? AGHHH now I'm wondering if the pub people got a video of the graveyard fight or a pic of the box or something and that gives aziraphale the indication that the whole thing is centred around the second coming

shax possibly knows that crowley is there, and calls the bookshop? or crowley calls heaven to narc on gabriel? OR aziraphale calls him from the phone crowley possibly lent him and idk but a conversation along the lines "hey crowley so i think a fight with demons caused goob to lose his memory and lmao but i think he also lost jesus!!!

either way crowley uses aziraphale's phone specifically and is obviously looking intently at something

and lastly again i think this has the resurrectionist minisode - fitting given that they decked out a pub in edinburgh with resurrectionist signs etc so that probably triggers a flashback for az when he goes there for the jukebox mystery

4. THE HITCHHIKER

i think however that this is where muriel is back on earth, potentially rooting around greek street trying to be as nosy as possible

and crowley now loaded in with info hot off the press (lmao aziraphale) knows that the second coming is involved and realises he needs to get into heaven to find out more info which is so james bond of him what a legend

and then WELL WHADDAYA KNOW muriel turns up and therefore im wondering if the above is from crowley's pov - muriel spots him in the shop and gets a tad excited

then - bless their soul - muriel gets coerced into helping crowley infiltrate heaven, or he follows them back to the heaven entrance they're using, and jumps in the lift with them last minute (ie the hitchhiker)

god knows why he's going to heaven in disguise but he's living his best life bless*

i do feel like EVERY is in here because i reckon aziraphale finds out crowley was betraying him to hell, even if for a good reason, and crowley desperately tries to make aziraphale see that it was "for us, for you aziraphale!!!!", SNOG, and aziraphale tells him to get fucked bc now he can never trust him, crowley said hed never lie to him "obviously, you're a demon" from s1, and the cliffhanger is them being on their OWN own sides @azirafuck back me up here

Hello! I want to say I have enjoyed your fics they are always so well written! :)

I was hoping you might be able to help me find a Clintasha fic I can't refind. I am unsure if I read it from one of your Friday rec lists or not. From what I remember Clint writes a list/note for the other guys on the team before heading out on a solo mission for about 2-ish weeks. One of the things on it is to take Natasha to refill medication. When he gets back he finds out that they have not done what is on the list. He quickly goes to Natasha and she does not seem to be doing well. She might have spent the entire time in their room, but I am unsure about that. The list might have been in the kitchen on the fridge, but I could be wrong.

It has been living partially in my head for a while now and would really appreciate any help if possible. Thank you!!

The Slumbering Projects List

The Current WIP List is anything that I've done some small amount of work on in the last year (with some of them having substantial amounts of work). This is a list of dead slumbering projects, some of which have been slumbering for a long time, as well as some reflection on what went wrong, if anything.

The Timewise Tales is a stable time loop fantasy story that revolves around three different characters. The genesis of this one was an old /r/worldbuilding contest entry that I wrote. All it really needs is an ending to be first draft complete, and I know what the ending is, but this is early early work, and it shows.

Sidebar: my enjoyment of my own work follows a pretty predictable curve.

I start with a lot of energy, grind through some of the middle with maybe a slight bump near the end, then have a rut after I've finished where I think the thing sucks. After enough time has passed, I finally have enough distance to think "hey wait, that was actually pretty good".

The curve looks different for different projects, but going into any of them, I have an understanding that my emotional relationship with the work is going to change in this way. The "middling grind" part can sometimes last a long time, and the trough of disappointment is sometimes short, but I would say this is generally how it works for me.

Timewise Tales is not something I've grown to appreciate more with time, so there's a chance that it's just Actually Bad. I don't know what there is that can be saved from it, but probably something. It's 90K words and would probably be complete in another 10K words, but making it good would be more some effort, especially because I would want to rewrite substantial portions. The magic system is cool though, and I think the characters and plot are solid.

Robot, Wizard, Vampire is a follow-up to my novella Contratto, which is just about vampires taking over the world. It's a story about two young people who are the last remnants of their underground cell of wizards who are using magic to make robots that fight the vampires. The setting is the late 70s and the two teenage boys are expies of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. The genesis for this one was someone making a post saying what a terrible idea it would be to include a bunch of dissonant themes in a book. It's 27K words, and from the plot outline, that's about a third of the way through. I reread this recently and think it's fairly good, but didn't put any more effort into it.

The Gift and the Burden is about hereditary wizards, following two friends who are divided by one having the gift and the other not. The one with the gift becomes a soldier, the one without a proto-scientist. The outline calls for three acts, and it's stuck toward the end of the second act. 60K words, and in theory outlined for 100K. There's a lot that I like in this one, though it's early work, and definitely a lot to punch up and sand down. I keep meaning to go back to this one.

A Series of Fights Without Any Meaning was a battle school type thing, mostly revolving around magical swordplay, which is used by the society to settle disputes via swordfights, something that highly favors the nobility. 16K words. Part of the conceit is that the newest generation has a non-noble who is absurdly good with a blade, and we follow her through the perspective of other characters, always unsure of her thoughts. I wasn't a huge fan of the magic system I came up with, and some of the other worldbuilding is irritating in retrospect, but neither of those are huge unfixable flaws at this point. Probably will never get more work put into it though.

The Wayward Souls is a novel about a detective who dies and gets awakened three centuries later in a different body. It's a world where souls are real and can be extracted to be stored in glass jars. There's a version of this that's 45K and a different rewrite version that's 21K, and I don't actually think they share much in common. The main plot is that someone has stolen the emperor's soul, but the secondary plot is the fish out of water stuff. I think this had a few influences that were probably too strong, and a few things that annoyed me, but I can't recall what without doing some rereading. Almost certainly dead in the water.

Pub Crawl is based off a meme I saw once that said "you meet in a tavern" and then "you open the door to leave and it's another tavern" and then "it's all taverns, the whole campaign is taverns". And I thought: I can write that! Currently 40K words, at some point I thought this was going to be my next web serial. I think the characters weren't quite right though, and lost steam, even though the outline was very solid. I had this great idea for a "pub map" that would update every few chapters, showing the known pub space as it sprawled out into strange areas.

There are lots of others, but those are the substantial ones, the ones that really had a chance to become something and are now sleeping, most of them never to wake up again. I had high hopes for all these at one point, but my time and ability to write is precious, and must be jealously guarded against false pretenders.

You know, I'm definitely in that phase of writing Rabbit Heart where I'm too close to it to tell if it's successful in what I'm trying to do, but I'm having a lot of fun with the fic, so that's probably a good indicator!

Dooku and Rael are a BLAST. It's also been eye-opening to write Dooku this young, unsure of himself, with so much to prove. Meanwhile, Rael is feeling just as clueless and lost, but it's coming out in totally different ways, with him trying to push Dooku into giving him the reaction he's dreading.

And then - Dooku and Sifo-Dyas. They're circling each other, boys in newly men-shaped bodies, still playing out the dysfunctional dynamic from their backwards-ass childhood with Lene Kostana. I have written a half dozen iterations of Sifo-Dyas quietly gayly pining for an oblivious Dooku, and this fic I wanted to do differently: I wanted Dooku to fall in love with his friend in real time. Dooku being the initiator, even if it seems clear Sifo-Dyas has loved him forever before this. And that's fun and weird, because I write Dooku as someone not always very in touch with himself in matters of the heart, so he's flailing a little bit, trying to understand why suddenly things have changed, trying to frame his feelings around what has happened to Sifo-Dyas in the larger plot and his reaction to it.

WILL I EVER :D My favorite!!!!

While I don't typically finish stories before I post them, I do tend to prewrite quite a lot before I feel comfortable starting to post any part of it. I write a lot more than I ever post, including whole scenes or alternate endings or different POV characters for a certain plot point than I end up going with. (And lets be honest, sex scenes, I write a TON more sex than I post because of garden variety horniness.) So I gush out all this content and then I have to decide what goes in, what gets scrapped, what gets saved and recycled for later.

I spend a lot of time rereading and narrowing down the content throughout the writing. But when I have the shape of a chapter that I'm pretty much ready to post, I pour myself a big glass of wine and get out my ruthless choppers. I KNOW I overwrite, so this is an important part of my process. I take out the third, unnecessary adjective that of course I've included. I try to kill any darlings that aren't serving the plot. I try to rein in my runaway adverbs, which are fine to use, but I like to have about twenty more of them than I need. I cut the rambling anecdote my characters love to think back on.

I take a hard look at my characters to make sure they feel true to my interpretation of their core qualities. This is usually the part where I fix Sifo-Dyas's lines, since he's often my problem child there. For example, recently in this stage, I changed his "I'm afraid of being left behind" to "I won't be left behind," which is more in line with one of my tenants of writing Sifo-Dyas: that he is defiant and dynamic about facing his own limitations, not ever static or despairing. (Where as Dooku, god love him, can absolutely be a brooder.)

“What’s that?”

Papa’s hand hangs in front of your eyes, a big white ceramic plate resting on it. “Torta paradiso,” he replies, delicately swaying the place to one side and then the other. “All'arancia”.

Alright. That you can see and smell. The delicate yet strong fragrance of the orange permeates the air, making your mouth salivate. The cake looks simple, barely decorated with a bit of powdered sugar and orange zest on the top.

However, you don’t understand why Secondo is placing it right in front of your face, making it serpent like it’s tempting you to sin. “I can see that,” you continue, sitting straight on the couch. The heavy blankets fall around your waist and the cold air hits your skin, sending shivers down your arms and legs. “Where did you get it?”

“I made it myself.”

Oh.

That’s… something you didn’t see coming. A man like Secondo, who always looks angry and intimidating, doesn’t seem to be the type to spend any time in the kitchen baking something as delicate as a cake. Even more, he not only made it, but now he’s proudly displaying it to you.

“I didn’t know you could bake.”

“Can’t an old man have a hobby?”

Tripping over your words, you hurry to reassure him that it wasn’t your intention to question him. Secondo only laughs, a bitter but somehow calm sound that fills the air with warmth. He takes a sit next to you, motioning to move away the blankets. The ceramic plate is placed on the little coffee table.

For a few seconds, Secondo stares at the TV. There’s an old movie there, a cartoon you used to watch when you were years and years younger. This movie always brought comfort to you, awakening memories of hot beverages and butter cookies, of old friends and cozy socks.

Life used to be simpler before. Then, shit happened. Shit always happens, but it hits harder on days like these.

On your birthday.

No one remembered it. This day was just another day, only heavier on the heart. Maybe it’s all your fault. You are fool, as you have constantly been. Year after year, you hope for things to be different, better somehow.

A certain type of sadness fills your body and soul on your birthday. A sadness that walks behind, hugging your back and whispering heavy words in your ears.

No one cared.

No one celebrated it.

No one.

To your left, Secondo sighs. The sound halts the tears that were beginning to form on your eyes. In a swift movement, you hurry to clean any remnant of it, hoping he doesn’t notice it.

If he does, Papa says nothing. He merely reaches out to the plate, cutting a slice of cake before carefully placing it on a napkin. His gloved hand extends in your direction, leaving no place to deny him. You take it.

His gaze is intense and expectant, full of an emotion you can’t quite discern when you take the first bite. Is he nervous? Is he anxious? He’s looking right into your soul, analyzing every little twitch of your eyebrows and searching for any reaction.

The sweet and fresh taste of the cake fills your mouth. The texture is soft, airy and delicate, and the taste of orange and vanilla is comforting. You nod, a smile on your lips. “This is so good!”

“I’m happy to hear that,” he says, letting himself fall on the couch. For another long moment, he stays in silence. His eyes absentmindedly look into the TV, before closing as he exhales. “Happy birthday, kid.”

“You remembered it?”

“Isn’t it a Papa’s duty to remember this stuff?”

Right. A duty. It’s foolish to think a busy man like Papa Emeritus II went out of his way to do something for your birthday, out of the kindness of his heart.

Maybe it’s the way your gaze obscures, or the heavy lump on your weary shoulders, but he hurries to continue. “I mean, I care about every Sibling. I know most of us don’t fit outside this Ministry, but we are a family here. If we have nothing else, at least we have each other.”

The strange softness in his eyes makes you swallow dry. Papa is a stern man, someone who mostly keeps to himself when he’s not surrounded by women. And yet, there’s something deep inside his pupils, a dark veil of emotions that tells you he understands.

Papa is a sad, sensitive and lonely man at heart. “Do you really like it?” he questions, after a beat. “I wasn’t sure if I wanted to make this or a torta caprese.”

“I liked it,” you repeat. Papa smiles, reaching out to wipe a bit of powered sugar from the corner of your mouth.

“So, what are we watching?”

Excitement filling your voice, you explain. Papa listens, nodding a few times in an effort to encourage you to keep talking. When the movie continues, his eyes remain on the screen for a few minutes before you detect the faint sound of his snores.

Oh, well. Papa is also an exhausted, old man. Leaning closer to his body, you wrap the corner of the blanket around him. Head on his shoulder, you take a deep breath and close your eyes too.

Ok, here's the post about how I write my fics that no one asked for, because I'm bored and it might help someone-

Outlining: Yes, I'm a planster, I physically cannot write a fic without some sort of outline, otherwise I get stuck and abandon the fic--which sucks for everyone. My Outlines tend to look like this:

(I found this formatting on TikTok, but I can't remember exactly who came up with it) If the fic is a series, I make a separate outline for each separate work (so, for example, the one above is the outline for the 3rd work of The Great War). If not, then I just put all of the info into one outline. - The Main Point(s) section is exactly what it sounds like. I put the main themes and the chapter's purpose there--so things like "Character A realizes they like Character B" or "Expands on Character B's past trauma." - The What Happens section is also what it sounds like. It's where I lay out the main points of how the chapter proceeds, so like "Character C is in danger and worried about their friends, unsure if they'll survive this battle--which scares them" and the next point will be "Character A appears and saves them, shooting of a snarky quip, before running off to fight Secondary Antagonist." (I also use the What Happens section to separate what happens in who's POV) - If my fic is following a certain TV show, then I put the episodes in the Episode(s) section--putting N/A if there isn't an episode to follow.

The Writing Process: My writing process could be seen as really simple or unnecessarily complicated, depending on how you look at it, but it's what's worked for me for the 4-5 years I've been writing. First, I write out the entire chapter I'm working on as a screenplay--referencing the outline for what's going to happen. I'll write out the dialogue, the character movements, and what the characters are thinking--but in really basic formatting. For Example:

Obi-Wan: Ah, yes, of course. Knight Skywalker. Captain Rex.

Next, I'll write out, what I like to call, the "shit draft" of my fic. It's basically me going back to the beginning of the chapter and taking things out of screenplay format--but still not really putting to much effort into making things sound good. My main focus during this part is putting down the pieces of what I want the chapter to be/touch on. For Example:

The General just smiled, "ah yes, of course. Knight Skywalker. Captain Rex."

Suddenly Rex and General Skywalker jumped behind cover, looking tired but only sporting minor injuries.

Then, finally, I'll go back to the beginning again and rewrite everything I just wrote in the "shit draft." This time actually trying to make things sound good. For Example:

“Ah, yes, of course,” he replied indulgently, “Knight Skywalker,” he nodded towards Rex, “Captain Rex.”

Suddenly General Skywalker and Rex ducked behind where Cody and the General were taking cover, breathing hard and sporting several different cuts—on their skin and armor, respectively. 

After that, I'm usually happy with what I've written and I'm free to start working on the next chapter and/or post that one, but you can send it to Beta readers or rewrite it as many times as you'd like or whatever suits your fancy.

Anywho-

Double Dee did a spell on her, the same one Twilight put on everyone but Rarity on that one episode of MLP. Just so she can hang out with Kev in the clouds.

(And yes I'm a stinky Kevnazz shipper, a multi shipper, and yes this is my second favorite ship or tied to first I can't decide).

Personally I think he's not that cool. Mid character. (Lies in sees potential).

The Cul De Sac kids because I want to see them and the Eds in the same page. Also the more I draw these guys the less stiff they feel idk.

Almost done with pony Peach Creek for now. Here are some things about ponified Cul De Sac kids.

Sarah: her and Jimmy wishes to be alicorns someday but are otherwise content with just being themselves. Pretty much close to match her brother's strength.

Her cutiemark is kinda hard to explain. It's a heart that's loud if that makes sense. Sarah can be caring to those who she deemed deserves it and she can be a loud mouth. (I might change it into something better but idk if I should save it for some other character).

Jimmy: A pegasus who's dream is to be a fashion model. He can't fly but only because he wasn't taught how to, but after a while like in season three or something idk I'd make a fan ponified episode where Kevin teaches him how to fly and Eddy joins in somehow. Not explaining it all here but I've been thinking about it.

Jimmy's cutiemark is meant to match Sarah's, which is a heart with a halo. (Not too sure about that one but as long as I gave them sort of matching cutiemarks then I guess I'm good).

Jonny 2x4: he's the only spotted pony in the Cul De Sac. Sometimes the others can't tell if his spots are dirt marks or actual spots. For the most part they are legit spots but at times there are dirt spots too. This version loves playing in the dirt as well as climbing stuff.

He doesn't have a cutiemark yet. Too occupied with Plank to try and get one. (When he gets one tho idk it might be an acorn. Or a melon. Maybe both. Maybe even two acorns).

Plank: speak of the devil. Plank is as mysterious in the pony world as much as he is in his original one. He only ever really hangs out with Jonny and pretty much tells him what to do most of the time. They're inseparable though.

Plank is as much of a blank flank as Jonny. Tho Jonny might draw him one eventually. (He just doesn't know what it should be yet).

So we’ll start with my main two since they’re the ones I’ve made known and will be easier to sum up first

Homeless!AU

Based on the ‘what if’ question of: “What if Vegan-Su didn’t help out Sheriff & defended him during the scene where their locked in a cage & Sheriff being a mutant has been revealed to the whole group”

Basically, I’m this Au, Vegan didn’t help out Sheriff in convincing the others that’s he’s still the same person regardless of being a half mutant. So once they’ve escaped & gotten the mushroom they just..kick him out. No real remorse or empathy. They don’t try to hear him out or anything. They just make him leave.

He does leave without a fight or anything, after all he’d unfortunately been expecting this outcome. And it’s not like he can really go back to the life he lived before so he hangs around the abandoned city.

Nothing is being done to prevent his mutation anymore aside from the occasional stealing vegetables from his old friends so it spreads (slowly) up his arm. He also ends up being able to understand the mutants unique language & speak it.

With a growing addiction to coffee beans, a hoodie that he found in the dumpster and no friends he lives his life in the city for a few months, at some point during that Shooter starts coming to the city to try and find Sheriff, feeling incredibly bad. Sheriff doesn’t particularly blame Shooter (though he still does partiality) he actively avoids Shooter and any potential interactions.

I’m a bit unsure on how to go about the group seeing Sheriff once more and the angst that will follow with, I’ve tried writing out some possible drafts but nothing seems to stick yet.

ZA!Au

My most recent in this list actually, it’s basically a post apocalyptic world filled with zombies and there’s no saving the world or anything like that, the story mainly just focuses on the group slowly building trust and a family they care about.

It starts off with just Sheriff, a 20 year old man who’s a known wanderer, never staying in one place for too long and never getting close to people, he stops at one town to stay the night and that’s where he meets Shooter where, against his will he enjoys the company of and quickly sees as a friend. He pushes those feeling down for the time being though.

The story (imo) truly kicks off once Shooter decides it’s a good idea to steal from this town. The townspeople are not fond of this at all and find stealing punishable by death because of scarce resources. So they’ve got Shooter at gunpoint, on his knees begging for some kind of mercy (it’s around the middle of the night I feel the need to add). Sheriff who was previously asleep sees this shit going down and it sets him off. I’ll spare most details but just know he gets his hands on a lighter, a car and a shitton of gasoline.

Shooter and Sheriff run (drive) off and end up at Brutux’s place, a guarded lighthouse. Going against anything they’ve ever heard about this guy they enter seeking refuge for the night, which they get. It’s pretty calm despite everything.

Until the next morning when the trio wake to yells of guards down below and a lot of crashing. Turns out two people (Vegan and BP) are stealing supplies and are getting away with it too. Brutux drags Sheriff & Shooter along to catch them to pay off him letting them stay the night.

They catch BP and Vegan at some point, probably when their in the fortress/lab thing. Surprisingly the sibling duo offer to let the trio stay with them since it’s high up and much safer. And despite the suspicion they agree.

There’s a lot of mistrust in the start but slowly. Like snail pace slowly they build up trust.

In this Au, Ryan and Dr. White are both dead fully, both being turned to zombies. With Ryan being killed by a 15 year old Sheriff but not before biting him, leading to Sheriff cutting his own arm off with an axe. And Dr. White being killed by Began & BP, having forced his children to kill him.

Time loop!Au

This one is a little under a year old.

It’s an AU where Sheriff is forced to repeatedly die during the final confrontation with the SM, the SM killing him each time (before the reveal of him being Ryan I should add) he’s got no idea why he’s being forced into this, at first being in denial, thinking he’s dreaming up until the fourth loop.

He keeps track of his deaths on a wall in his room in the ship, carving into it with a knife. There’s hundreds of marks, each signalling another death. There’s a small corner in amongst his tally’s. For when he ends the loop early.

Any scars that may’ve been obtained during a previous loop stay with him for all other loops and becomes normal in future timelines. How does he figure this out? When in one loop the SM fully takes his eye out before killing him. He wakes up and can only see out one eye. No one asks him about it.

Eventually he tries telling someone (I’m still not saying who 😈😈). He tells them everything, about the loops and his deaths. They think he’s crazy at first. At least until he shoots himself infront of them and they come running into his room, panicked he was dead. So now two people know.

That’s as far as I’ve gotten with this one, it’s been awhile since I’ve thought about it, might needa dust some cobwebs from my mind.

Hero!Au

The Au title speaks for itself. It’s a hero Au. In a world where powers exist, hero’s and villains do also.

Sheriff and Shooter are popular vigilantes, both being the laws nightmare and best friend. They help out with things though their method of doing so is sometimes questionable.

Sheriff has electricity based powers and pretty powerful ones at that, people with electricity powers are pretty high up on the danger scale given just how much they can do with their abilities, though it differs depending on the person.

For Sheriff he has to constantly have electricity in his system and so more often then not you may catch him sticking a fork in a socket and just,,absorbing the electricity. He’s capable of causing power outages if his powers are too much on the fritz. So yeah, not someone you want as an enemy.

Shooters abilities (if he truly has any) is unknown to the public, he’s Sheriffs partner in crime vigilante work and is responsible for all their tech and weaponry. Some people theorise that his ability lets him create almost absurd things from pretty much nothing (ima spoil it, it isn’t that)

Vegan Su, BP and Dr. White are all hero’s, top ones at that. Well less so Dr. White since he’s more focused on science and things rather than being out there actively saving lives. I’m yet to decide on hero names for the sibling duo and abilities for them.

Brutux is a villain but not your standard super villain, more so a criminal who deals with illegal things like drugs and certain weapons. He actually gets along quite nicely with our Vigilante duo and doesn’t tend to bother them as much.

Max and Jim are Sheriff and Shooter when their not out being vigilantes, the two work at a fairly small grocery shop (think IGA small- size wise I mean) and their manager is Brutux playing civilian (known as Alex to them) obviously Shooter, Sheriff & Brutux aren’t aware of each other’s double life identities since they do well to keep ‘em hidden. The truth may eventually come out though.

There’s a little bit of betrayal in this Au because at some point, Vegan pretends to be a vigilante to get close with Sheriff & Shooter- either to recruit them as hero’s or arrest them for several crimes.

That’s all I’ve got so far for this Au, like the time loop it’s been awhile.

Okay this is a very long post holy hell. And there’s one or two that I’m yet to talk about but currently my hand is cramping from typing this all up on my phone so I’ll do them tomorrow after school. This took like,, an hour to write ☠️☠️

Anyways though, hope you’ve enjoyed my insanely long ramble on my Au’s that I would never have shared if not asked to (I don’t really mind, the only reason I never shared them is because I came up with them all and thought it’d be too many & people would get annoyed at me for having so many but this fandom is starving, I don’t think people mind if I’m Au central™️/hj)

MCU (mostly Loki and Daredevil, though I do branch out quite a bit), Star Wars (mainly the Prequels and Clone Wars), BBC Merlin...I believe those are my main fandoms currently. I am definitely not the type of writer to stick to one.

4.) What are your top five fics by kudos?

Four out of Five - One of my first DD fics when I was still trying to figure out how to write Matt, so I was very unsure about posting it and I genuinely do not know how it got so many kudos. Basically 4 times Matt does things without sight, and 1 time he absolutely can't. Lots of Matt and Avengers interactions.

Merlin's Beard! - Merlin and Arthur interrupt the final battle at Hogwarts and very casually save the day. Everyone is very confused, but they just go along with it because hey, Voldy's dead. Most definitely crack taken seriously.

Life Asked Death - The last fic in my Three of Us Against the World series! Gamora, Loki, and Nebula are actually really caring siblings, and they defeat Thanos and save the world together.

Not the Last Dragonlord - I just wanted to write a scenario in which Balinor survived, and he and Merlin get to figure out how to be father and son together. My first ever Merlin fic, too!

The World Will Pay - The first fic in my Three of Us Against the World series! We get to see how the three of them meet and get to know one another in Nebula's POV. Honestly, one of my favorite fics out of all the ones I've written.

5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Of course! They give me serotonin, and I want to give some serotonin back :)

6.) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

The Reasonable Expectation of Deception - One of my Whumptober 2023 fics, with Thor and Loki wrapped up in an Infinity War AU. I don't want to give spoilers, exactly, but the Major Character Death tag is definitely there for a reason.

7.) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

we're inches apart (and even closer at heart) - Matt/Nat is actually adorable and THEY GET MARRIED!!! :D

8.) Do you get hate on fics?

I think I've gotten one or two comments, but they're so insignificant I don't really remember them.

9.) Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Nope. I don't believe I'm capable of it LOL

10.) Do you write cross overs? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I don't usually write cross overs, but I have written a few. For example, the aforementioned Merlin x Harry Potter crossover.

I hope not.

12.) Have you ever had a fic translated?

I don't think so.

13.) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

No. Writing is mostly a solitary enterprise for me, but if you have a really really really good fic idea then I would theoretically be willing to cowrite a fic with you.

14.) What’s your all time favourite ship?

Do I have to choose??? Codywan or Matt/Nat, maybe. (I feel like we should come up with a ship name for them. I've seen several, but no general consensus.)

15.) What’s a WIP you’d like to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have no published WIPs because I always want to finish what I've started, but I have had a draft of The Curse sitting on my computer for quite a while. If you were wondering, it is indeed about a curse. Very creative working title, I know.

16.) What are your writing strengths?

Writing distinct POVs for different characters, probably. I do try my very best.

16.) What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot and action scenes. Sometimes, I don't know how to connect all the separate ideas I have in my head.

17.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I think it's nice, as long as it's not so overdone that you might as well have written the whole fic in that language. I admire the people who can do it accurately.

19.) Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

I don't have ONE favorite (you can probably tell that I'm the indecisive type). I've already mentioned The World Will Pay, but I also really like Falling, which is from the same series, but written in Loki's POV. Halfway to Heaven was my Whumptober 2022 fic about a powerless Matt Murdock who still manages to go toe to toe with Fisk; Faith is a Dooku character study and sort of redemption fic. Basically, I just like all the ones that feel like I gave justice to my favorite characters, because I think all fics are kind of like love letters to our favorite characters, and we want to get it right. This may be ironic, because I tend to hurt my favorite characters, but let's not look too deeply at that.

I don’t know. I’m not even sure what to say. I want to update but I also don’t feel like I have the energy.

I’m not sure how much of the specifics I wrote, especially since it seems some of my posts ended up saved in my drafts instead of actually being posted.

After my therapist said she wouldn’t see me again until I at least started the process of getting on waitlists for treatment centers I reached out to 3 places.

*One of those places was the treatment center I was at most recently. They are the ones that think I should try somewhere new since I’ve been at their place a few times.

*The second place I reached out to is a place I have been to before but it’s been 6 years since then. I was able to get an intake assessment scheduled with them but it’s not until May 22nd. This place is actually my first choice. Yes, a *tiny* part of it is that it will be awhile until I’m admitted but, having been there before, I did actually think it was a good program.

*The third place was initially ruled out because they don’t take my insurance. However, in emailing back and forth with their admissions coordinator she mentioned that a few people with my insurance were recently able to get single case agreements and therefore be admitted. They’re going to work with me on figuring out all the insurance stuff. They wanted to move forward with an intake assessment and that somehow ended up getting scheduled for this morning!

*A few things from the assessment. The person doing the intake said I would receive a phone call next week (ie: week starting 4/30) with their recommended level of care and the next steps forward. I asked if they had a waitlist and she wasn’t sure (she was one of the therapists rather than someone from the admissions team) but she didn’t think they did. PANIC!!! I mean the insurance stuff still has to be worked out but this seems like the possibility to be admitted is very soon and I am not okay with that.

*I reached out to this specific treatment center because one of my friends from treatment had previously been there and had mentioned they have a good inpatient unit. For those not familiar with ed treatment in the US there is a difference between inpatient (ip) and residential. Inpatient treatment has a much higher focus on medical care. For the most part, in order to be admitted to a residential LOC you have to be medically stable and if you aren’t medically stable the recommendation is usually to be admitted to ip first and then step down to residential. For me, I really have no idea what would be recommended. My vitals seem fine but I feel so awful. During the intake this morning I did explain the situation so I’m really unsure of where that would put me in regards to ip vs residential.

*One thing I forgot to mention during the intake this morning (because I only found out about it on Thursday) is that I am FINALLY scheduled for my echocardiogram on Monday morning. At this point, my guess is that the results will be perfectly normal and healthy. But I know it’s probably good to get this done anyway. From the way my psychiatrist has talked about it he believes this is the test that will show us whats wrong. I don’t know.

I just feel so overwhelmed. I’m still really unsure about going to treatment. I have yet to say anything “official” about treatment at work. I mentioned it (only once), in passing to my friends and that was over a month ago. I haven’t said anything “official” because I do not want to go. I truly have no idea what I am going to do. I know I could probably fight it (ie: outright do the opposite of what my treatment providers want and not go/stay home) but I truly have no idea what the outcome of that could be either physically or mentally. I know I can’t keep going like this forever. And, yet, the idea of...any kind of change is just too much and I’d really rather just hide forever.

Pandora reaches out to Dorcas and the skittles' finally together then Reg is shipped to Azkaban. That's utterly whut? I mean, they're finally fixing the gap. Their moment together in the cabin right? Reg didn't even bother being vicious to Dorcas because they're finally complete. And then, Reg says, nope. No can do. Had to spend my vacation in Azkaban. So long suckers. Hmp. I couldn't even bring myself to be mad about his decision because it makes sense. Reg didn't, never wanted to be a hero yet he's always doing the right thing. I'm p.sure it's James' influence on him. I'm just rambling yk. It's the effect of re-reading a chapter waiting for the next one. Did I tell you how impressive it was with how to close the War Chap? It's basically the start of healing and I couldn't be more proud of you Marie. Oh Lovey, you're so precious. I don't know what I'm saying. I think before typing this ask/message, I have a perfectly constructed thing to say yet I'm furthermore rambling. I had to say goodbye to stop. I hope you enjoyed thanksgiving with fam. it is a cruel fate.

reg never considered himself a hero and he never planned to survive the war so there's a significant amount of survivor's guilt and imposter syndrome happening. he saved the world but he feels like he'll only ever be seen as a death eater even if he did cut the Mark off.

his desire to do the right thing is for sure an influence from james. he saw goodness in james, he saw how a person can want to be better for others no matter the cost to themselves and he didn't always agree with it but it left an impression. he wanted to be good like that: for james, for sirius, for himself...

i really loved the end of the war. like the whole chapter just kept coming which is why it ended up being so long. i love how many of them are stuck with a feeling of being unsure what comes next, because they've all been working towards ending the war for years now and it's just over and most of them didn't do a thing to help end it.

but i am very excited to get on to the healing. i think it is so fun how people start to come together. i've been using this short break to write and i have three chapters already drafted and a fourth outlined. the goal has always been to finish the story before the new year and i should be on track to do that!

i always love your ramblings, so feel free anytime. i had a great thanksgiving. my parents are crazy and don't understand portion control. my mom baked a turkey, my dad smoked a turkey and some type of steak, we had a bunch of sides, and then my uncle came who doesn't eat meat so we made pasta as well. there were only 10 of us and enough food for double that.

i think i am going to stick to the tuesday update. i am hoping i can get another chapter or two drafted so i feel ahead again. it's been really easy to just keep writing when i haven't had to worry about stopping to edit a chapter in order to post.
