manga spoilers
Some fic thoughts on the WIPs I have currently:
IzuOcha - Ochaco wrote a love letter to him in her notebook with no intent of showing it to him, he ends up seeing it when he borrows her notes and vows to help her get together with the unaddressed person because never once does it cross his mind that that person would be him (meanwhile the whole class knows and this is kind of free entertainment)
It petered out on me when we got the second year shift in the manga and now that I’m not sure when or how to set it (since it was originally going to be set in second year) I’m like ???? but I could just make it an AU or maybe set it in third year in a world in which post-war classes resume like usual or something. But then that goes in the face of wanting to see the hero society restructure and so forth and so idek. Could probably just set it towards the end of first year instead. Much to think about.
ES 21 wedding and flashback memory romance fic
I need a scene for Hiruma and  a scene for Mamori still before I can figure out how to thread the flashback memory stuff between wedding scenes
I think part of what the hold up is about is that while the other couples chose each other post-high school, I think Hiruma and Mamori actually chose each other during high school so I probably need to approach their scenes with that in mind because up to this point I was thinking about giving them post-canon scens like everyone else
BnHA does a Tenchi in Love kind of fic
The fic ground to a halt when I had Midoriya interact with Nana so I probably need to reevaluate that scene and if they should meet so quickly
I also need to come up with some more concrete scenes for everyone to fill in the gaps
I think if I figure out what I’m doing with the villain that will help
Also probably should decide how AFO fits into this because I don’t think I took him into account which is kind of silly because if they’re time traveling back to when Yagi was in high school then I should figure out what’s going on with AFO
Stone Ocean fic in which instead of Green Baby, Jonathan appears
Been thinking about this one since I read the manga
I have little confidence in my ability to write these characters however especially Jonathan
The general structure would be Jolyne, Foo Fighters, and Anasui find this guy in the middle of all the plant people. They’re not sure what to make of it but Jolyne notices that this guy has the same birthmark everyone in her family does
Things go from there. Pucci is in for a shock.
No clue how to end the fic
Black Clover ch 336 inspired One Piece cross over fic
I have a tentative idea of how the fic begins
I figured out why Zoro is there - he ended up immortal and BC is the OP universe decades or hundreds of years later but I have to like think about how that works for him as a character a bit more
Decide what to do about Luffy if anything - is he also immortal? Did that spoiler swallow him whole? Is he dead? Questions questions
How does Asta get back to Clover by the end of a week? Clearly by using some sort of dimensional rift. Maybe passing through the wege? Maybe through some magic rift that allowed Yami to arrive on Clover?
Do I want to include what the others have been up to in Asta’s absence?
I have some ideas about how post-Lucius defeat works out but I don’t really have a game plan for defeating Lucius, though I do have some vague thoughts
Is this fic worth it considering we’ll find out who shadow man is next wek? Although it’s already an AU by default so that might not matter
Clearly Hi no Kuni is what Wano became after all this long time so that helps some things maybe
Zoro of course travels with Asta because since Zoro’s sense of direction is alcohol based, the meade and wine are probably calling to him. This might help with finding the dimensional rift to Clover Kingdom
Ideally I’d like to get the ES 21 to a first draft and into the editing process before all the other fics since it’s the most put together in my head and also th one closest to having a finished first draft pretty much. Would also like to see the time travel BnHA fic get finished someday but that one might be too ambitious to pull off with limited free time. Would also like to put out the IzuOcha fic because I think it could be cute and well-received. The ch 336 fic will probably all depend on how inspiration solidifies my thoughts about it. Probably not going to write the JJBA fic but I’m still surprised no one’s written a variant on that theme before considering it’s not DIO’s bone but Jonathan’s bone technically

BNHA 334 - Thoughts
TL; DR: OK, so all this for... New Order to just disappear? How does it even work???? you know what..I don’t care.. Class A!!!!! Bakugou in house slippers over combat boots!!!! ORIGIN TRIO!!!! Let’s fucking go!!!!!!
Tumblr media
So ShigarAFO didn’t really give New Order to the nomu, but instead took the nomu’s wings to fly away from the pilots. Those jets must be disappointingly slow.
Tomu-bat looks cool though. So will he be able to put away those wings, or he’ll have to offload the quirk??
Tumblr media
Meanwhile in vestige world New Order is still fighting, while the narrative keeps hammering what we already knew - it is not about Kathy - it’s all about All Might.
Tumblr media
At least this one pilot guy still thinks Kathy is the best.
Tumblr media
Looks like AFO figured out the solution of how to store New Order - as he crushed the party of Pop-knock-off and her villain boy friend, as we learn the crucial information that the TV is not working anymore. It must really be the end of times in Japan.
Tumblr media
Anyways, I hope the dude had a good quirk - in any case he won’t get New Order, because apparently it “exhausted itself” fighting quirks we never knew about, having detroyed who knows what - lol, seriously? That’s the ending we are going with? How lame....
For her last moments, New Order randomly transforms into Ghost Rider, because why not?
Tumblr media
The important thing is that she said the magic words “someone... a hero...” and suddenly little Tenko is there with the obligatory Deku parallel crying to be saved by Midoriya. Well, then. Redemption arc set-up is a check too.
Tumblr media
So the TOP3 arrives only to react and go back to doing nothing. LOL. They have become the “Greek Chorus” of this arc.
Tumblr media
The rest of the world is scared and immediately backs out - which ok, not flattering for the rest of the world, but at least I won’t have to suffer through introductions of new characters who have to pretend to do something while doing nothing.
Anyways, the jets don’t apparently have lasers to track Tomu-Bat, but at least they can scan people for their quirks???? That technology exists, but Japan doesn’t have it?
Tumblr media
I guess, Deku can already sharpen his pencils and analyse the fuck out of that data.
OK, all of this is still laughably bad, but I’ll probably stop complaining, because we are FINALLY back in UA
No wait, hold your horses - I will complain:
Nani- we skipped 2 DAYS?????!!!! I could have watched them stuffing Deku’s face full of food and see if Kacchan will call him De-Izuku and if Shouto can finally say how shocked he was, and some IzuOcha awkward flirting....???
Tumblr media
Anyways. So here they are, looking like they were about to head out to train or patrol or whatever else they are doing these days. And I can’t stop giggling at Kacchan wearing house slippers over his combat boots. Must be a hard-fought rule introduced by Iida.  Also, note the conspicuous absence or Aoyama and Hagakure.
Tumblr media
Anyways, some of these peeps need new hero gear. I get Deku and Iida. But why is Bakugou wearing his winter stuff? (not that I’m complaining) and why on earth does Ojirou have no shirt?
Anyways 1 week to go. (After 1 month, but then 3 days, and now 1 week?) To get new hero suits, make up with the civilians, get Shouto’s rage-mode and then the final battle. I’m not ready.
Still. Origin Trio.  (Yeah, I know, I’m putting the same panel twice, but it’s been forever)
Tumblr media
Also, the way Bakugou is looking at Deku. I’m hoping their post-apology conversation is coming and will include Deku’s self-destructive tendencies.

Her Lost Compass by destiny's lies
Disclaimer: Boku no hero academia and its characters do not belong to me, but Kōhei Horikoshi. Any images used are credited to their original owner(s). ----------------------------------------------- Prompt: Day 4: Polaris—Compass ----------------------------------------------- Author’s Note: Just an Izuocha drabble to help improve my writing skills. I chose to do compass. A friend of mine (she wants to remain anonymous) helped me with writing the skeleton for this story. Warning, this story was written in a hurry so please forgive me if some parts seem “mildly” rushed or somewhat underdeveloped, but I hope it’s decent enough to keep your attention.  ----------------------------------------------- Synopsis: Lost in the bitter cold, Ochako trudges through the snow to find the birthday gift she lost a year ago. -----------------------------------------------
Ochako stared ahead of her at the barren white desert. Snow clouded her vision as she trudged through the ankle-deep snow. No plant life or animals could be seen for miles to come. She was in the North Pole after all, barely anything survived in the arctic.
That’s what made her uneasy. Her husband had disappeared a year ago when he declared to her that he would go on an expedition in the North Pole. She had faith in him that he would have no problem conquering the South’s polar opposite but when he didn’t come home after nearly two weeks, that’s when she decided something tragic had happened.
They had gone on several rescue expeditions in search of him, but each time they had come back empty-handed. On her own she would secretly travel to find him but all her attempts also ended in failure. She never found him.
But this time she would—she would make sure of it. Pulling the compass out of her jacket, Ochako stared at the arrows and words inscribed into it. That compass was a gift her husband had given to her on her birthday a year ago.
He had teased her about hiding a surprise within the compass but in the past, she could never find it. The distant memory now brought bittersweet feelings.
“I promise, Izuku,” she whispered. “That I’ll bring you home.”
This time would be different, though. She blew out a sigh and continued trudging through the thick snow, keeping a watchful eye on the compass. The arrows rapidly spun in different directions. Her feet slowed to a halt.
This was new. The compass had never acted like that before. She glanced behind her. She had traveled so far. She wasn’t going to give up now!
Annoyed by the interference, she shook the compass but the arrows continued to twirl wildly. She banged the compass against her thigh only to hear a strange clicking sound. She peered back at the compass to see that part of the cover had opened. Inside the compass laid a smaller compass.
A compass within a compass? Ochako thought. A chuckle escaped her. Classic Izuku.
While the bigger compass furiously spun in a circle, the smaller compass pointed in a single direction. She decided to follow the smaller compass instead. She didn’t know where it would lead but she just hoped it would lead her to him.
Warily keeping an eye on her surroundings, Ochako kept her eyes glued to the compass, plodding through the rising snow. After several hours of walking, she arrived at a cave discreetly tucked away in a mountain.
Before entering inside, she took out the lantern that she had earlier packed from her from her backpack. She carefully trod through the mud, noting how deep it was.
A muffled cough caught her attention.
Turning towards the noise, Ochako spotted a man crouching by a small fire, feeding small sticks to the flames. She took a hesitant step forward, grabbing the man’s attention.
He cautiously reached for a weapon nearby. Ochako kept her guard up. She wouldn’t die after trekking so far. She was so close to finding him. Who was this person? Again, she took another step closer, holding her lantern higher to get a clearer image.
Dirt littered the young man’s face as his clothes wetly stuck to his skin. He apprehensively watched her, a wild look in his green eyes.
Those eyes.
She could recognize them from anywhere. Ochako dropped the lantern, the glass frame shattering onto the ground into a thousand pieces.
After realization hit him, Izuku ran towards Ochako, the only person he had ever fallen in love with. Tears welled up in Ochako’s eyes as she dashed towards Izuku and hugged him.
He picked her up and swung her around, joyous, light laughter filling the air as he set her back down.
Now closer, Ochako could now clearly see him. His hair was still crazy but even more so after a year without any trimming. He had put his hair in a ponytail to make it more manageable. A small stubble shaped the edges of his chin.
Her smile faded away. It took way longer than she thought it would. He had changed so much. Her heart began to ache. She had been without him for a year. A whole...entire...year.
More tears trickled down her face at the sad realization. Izuku hugged her, softly encouraging her to sit down next to him by the dying fire. She leaned into him and stared at the red and orange embers that fled from the fire.
For a while it was just silent. Ochako didn’t feel the need to say anything, there was nothing that needed to be said.
A whole year without him, a whole year without him telling her that he loved her. A whole year of waking up in bed alone and him not being there beside her.
Was he even still the same person she loved? They changed so much after just being apart for a year. Just earlier she had not recognized him. She still isn’t sure she really does.
The thought scared her. Would she lose him? After all the time and effort she spent to get him back, would he ever be the same? Would she?
“Ochako,” he hoarsely murmured.
A relieved sigh that she didn’t know she was holding escaped her. He still remembered her name. Her heart fluttered as she leaned in closer to him. “Yes?”
“Remember, I still love you.”
Dammit.
She found herself breaking down into tears once again. She was trying to remain strong for his sake. I mean, he was the one who had spent a year out here in the bitter cold, relentlessly fighting for his life as he was caught in the bitter struggle between life and death.
Embarrassed, she quickly scrubbed the tears in her eyes.
“You don’t need to be strong, Ochako. Not with me,” he reminded her. “That’s one of the reasons why I fell in love with you. You’re always thinking of others.
Ochako sniffed, a smile etching itself onto her face. “Thanks.”
“How did you find me?”
“With your compass.”
“You finally found the hint within it, I presume?”
“Yeah, very clever of you.”
He placed a soft kiss on top of Ochako’s head. “And you’re very clever for finding it.”
A distinct blush appeared onto her face. “I can’t wait for you to come home.”
Izuku smiled. “Me too.”

Alright so, here’s how things are gonna work.
First off, welcome to this side blog. Since it won’t be jolly fun fandom content and will be a little more personal I decided to separate my health and writing journey from my fandom stuff, although all my fandom content will still be linked on my main blog here.
(I write Izuocha/bnha content which isn’t super popular so if you’re not here for that then yeah, I don’t blame you. But if you are I have a link to our discord and community content pinned so def check it out if you’re interested.)
Secondly, you guys will hear details about stuff relating to my health like what kinds of things affect my disorder based on the tests some doctors are ordering, how I’m trying to improve my diet and activity, and routines and goals I’m attempting for myself. I am underweight, and that’s something I’m going to be talking a bit about, so if that’s triggering following this blog might not be the best thing for you. Details under the cut.
So, what kind of disorder do I have and why did I decide to make a health journey blog? My disorder is called idiopathic hypersomnia. Basically what that means is that when my disorder is acting up (based on factors like stress especially or my generalized anxiety rearing its ugly head) I have the capacity to sleep. And sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep. My longest recorded uninterrupted “sleep-attack” was 26 hours long and ever since I caught Covid in January, my body had been slowly growing weaker to the point I was starting to develop atrophy. I’ve had this ten years and my neurologist suspects inactive cells from mononucleosis I caught at 14 was the cause, because other IH patients have linked their sleeping problems to a case of mono or have had it at some point in their lives.
This disease stole many years and many things I’ve looked forward to from me. I lost friends and experiences and failed so many college classes I had to drop out.
I’ve decided I’m taking them back.
It’s not going to be easy. Just as it took ten years to convince myself that my tiredness was something I chose to give into, it took several extra years and many fights with my family to convince them that I had a real actual neurological disorder and that I need help sometimes. My parents and grandmother finally understand that I have to finish college and find a very special boss willing to work around my erratic progress on projects, but the outsiders they married are not as convinced. My grandmother’s husband kicked me out of their house because he wants to be the center of attention and doesn’t like that some days I’m so weak that I needed my grandmother’s help, and my father’s wife thinks I’m a lazy and ungrateful leech who “gets anxiety just being around” me. Both told my father I’ll never be happy so why even bother with me, but my dad is actually striving to understand his own recently-diagnosed PTSD so while we still butt heads he’s understanding that I have to take things day by day because every tiny circumstance affects my disorder.
Now, why did I decide to air all this out? Well, being open about my disorder and how it affects me has helped at least two people that I know of find out that the tiredness they experience isn’t the typical “American work force exhaustion” they were trained to believe is normal. So if I can help even one more, I’ll gladly talk about what this entails and how I deal with it day to day. Another reason is that I’m also one of those big advocates who believes talking candidly about mental health destigmatizes it and sharing ideas can help us grow as people and maybe make it a little easier to deal with.
So now that you know a little bit about me and my disorder, here are my big goals for the next three months provided my university takes pity on me and actually lets me go back.
First up: create routines to train my body to get used to living a full day fully awake. This includes waking up at the same time and going to sleep at the same time. It means getting dressed and going out and doing things, even little things— which I’ll get to in a sec.
Second: I write. I have a novel in limbo and I write fanfics. Writing is a big part of who I am and I’ve written one thing this year, which for a whole six-month stretch is upsetting and disappointing. Today is my reset. In the next 569 days I want to to finish the six stories I have in limbo (except the larger one) and finally reach my goal of posting 200k words in a single year. I wont be hard on myself if I can’t accomplish this because honestly finishing anything in the chaos of my life is going to be a miracle but. There ya go.
Third: go back to freakin college. I don’t care what it takes. Sit down with every official, every lawyer, and every professor it takes to get me back enrolled in classes in the fall.
Fourth: I have several smaller things I have to do, short term goals, stuff like that. I’m gonna create a to do list each day of small tasks I want to get done and while some of these things will be part of my daily routine I am throwing in like one or two things a day that just need to be done. My writing goal will change daily and I’ll keep y’all updated on that with every post I make.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Dani! That’s so much!! Well, a few months ago I remembered hey!! I basically have a computer in my hand, why make it hard on myself. So I downloaded certain apps to help me out. This isn’t me saying “hey go subscribe to these apps because I said so” it’s just that through a lot of trial and error I’ve come to find that these certain apps work for me and I’ve yet to come across one that has the functionality of everything I need.
Tiimo — so this is an app I found developed by people with autism for people with autism to help them develop good habits and routines. It has preset daily schedules (things like morning routines or nightly routines or work routines) and an internal alarm to let you know when to move on to the next task. I myself have extremely low-level aspergers (to the point where my doctor won’t give me an official diagnosis because I didn’t want people think that *it’s* the reason I have issues with school), so moving from task to task can be difficult sometimes and I also deal with getting distracted. This widget also appears on my home screen so I know what I have to do at a glance. You can program in weekly and daily tasks to fully customize your schedule, which is fantastic for someone like me who wants to for example rotate chores. This is hopefully going to help me get my body in the habit of adjusting to routines and transitioning from one task to another, as well as getting important things done responsibly.
Promptly Journals — I’ve been told for a while that journaling is helpful mentally to kind of recenter yourself, so a bit ago I downloaded several journal apps to add to my morning routine. Now some will prefer more creatively free journals, but I prefer this one that gives me small prompts I can do in a short amount of time that just allows me to get my thoughts down. I can even add pictures at the bottom that go with the theme! I’m scared I’ll run out of prompts eventually lol but until then this app works very well for my needs.
Stretchingexercise — Now idk if it’s from lack of sleep from my disorder, the position I sleep in when I do sleep, all the physical labor I’ve had to do in the past couple weeks, my medicine, or w h a t but I suffer from body aches like no one would believe. I know stretching is supposed to help with that, so I downloaded this app to help me do non-demanding physical activity that wakes me up in the mornings and helps relieve pain so I don’t keep having to take pain relievers. This one has different plans for things like muscle tension, back pain, warm ups— and it also gives you rudimentary weight updates (I’m underweight lololol so we’re looking to fix that) or plan updates. It’s worked really well for me so far and gives you animations and descriptions of the workouts (some taken from yoga) as well as timed breaks and a narrated guide. It’s been pretty helpful in temporary relief and if nothing else gets my blood flowing in the mornings.
Widgetsmith Step counter — in addition to the stretching thing one thing my doctor and I discussed that helps with the sedentary lifestyle is simply walking. I’ve needed so bad to relieve my stamina and reverse the atrophy, and walks have been stellar for that. Now I live in the New Orleans area so humidity and heat force me to go at the crack of Dawn, but honestly my weenie dachshund Charlie really enjoys our time out so he goes with me! The CDC recommends 10,000 steps a day which seems like a lot and it is if you don’t get out much. But this gives me an excuse to get dressed and do the hygienic thing and help Charlie be healthy too, as well as give me time for brainstorming because we walk in a truly beautiful area. I’m sure everyone installed widgetsmith with the last iOS update (Apple users anyway) and while at first the step counter was just interesting I’ve since come to rely on it! We do our 5000 in the morning, which of course is half, and I find that other things I do throughout the day typically drive the counter higher. Anything leftover can easily be accomplished by an evening walk in our neighborhood. Now the caveat is that I have to remote have my phone in my pocket because I don’t own a watch or anything fancy lol, but honestly I need to keep it on me anyway so that serves as a good reminder.
Todoist — this one is my FAVORITE. Ever since I’ve decided that I have trouble keeping track of things I need to do and small stuff I need to keep in mind and appointments, etc, I decided to find a list app. This is the one I found that absolutely helps me for everything from my list of room supplies I need to buy, to my reading list, to general tasks I have coming up I need to complete. And its widget functionality keeps it right on my Home Screen! More organized individuals can just use tiimo, but I’m definitely not one of those individuals so this app is sorely needed and appreciated.
And of course, I know building habits the first few weeks is HARD. So for days my body doesn’t respond to my alarms, I have a checklist of the key things I have to do to keep my life as functional as possible.
So that’s that on that. I’m going to try to keep writing updates and my daily goals in a post in the morning, and reblog what I accomplished in the evening. It’s gonna be tough. But I’m thinking if I can start small I’ll be able to build my stamina enough to return to college and be successful when I do. I hope that anyone watching this journey draws some kind of meaning or inspiration from it. And you guys can even follow along if y’all want! Especially for writers or people trying to get healthier. I can’t promise what works for me will work for you (and honestly I expect things to change especially if I get accepted into college again) but hey, I figure it’s worth a shot.
I hope you guys enjoy watching this journey, if nothing else I hope it’s entertaining. And maybe it’ll be successful. I do know that I’m just gonna try for it, and hope it works out.
First daily update to follow
Xoxo

Iichako vs Kacchako vs Tsuchako: aka: Who should Ochako be with (besides Deku)
 mysterylover123
Uraraka is certainly one of the show’s more shippable characters. Though the series has set her up to be the ‘obvious’ straight endgame pairing for Midoriya, the fandom has found lots of potential relationships for her with other people along the way, and 3 stand out as the most popular and probable: Tenya Iida (her best male friend besides Deku), Katsuki Bakugou (her respectful rival) and Tsuyu Asui (her best female friend). In the interests of truly determining which of these three has the strongest relationship with Uraraka, I’ve composed this long-ass meta, where I basically catalogue every moment involving each dynamic together to figure out which one should really be Uraraka’s endgame relationship (aside from Izuocha).

Izuocha Week 2020-Day 2: Injury/Recovery!
I actually managed to write this last night in one sitting lol, so might be a bit messy but I think it turned out alright XD
Hope you like it!
Izuku would like to think he was a rational person. He was a planner, a checklist type of guy, he liked things to make sense so he tried to do things that followed a thread of logic.
Though, to be fair, that thread of logic tended to be unique to him, and very few people tended to share his thoughts that it was logical at all.
For instance, for most people having a broken leg, hypothetically speaking, would logically mean that you would stay in bed and not stress it by, say, just as a random example, trying to sneak out of your home in your hero suit to help people without your wife knowing.
For him though, the logical thing would be to do exactly that, hypothetically speaking of course, because if he was bound to a bed it meant he couldn't help people, and not helping people meant people might get hurt, and that was simply not acceptable and so leaving to go on one more patrol before the end of the day was simply the only logical thing to do, hypothetically.
…hypothetically speaking, of course, because he was having trouble putting on his pants over the cast on his leg, so much trouble that it gave his wife enough of a warning to catch him in the act.
"…should I even ask?" Izuku would forever admire Ochako's fathomless patience with his nonsense, even if the look she was giving him was just this side of scathing, "really Izuku? With a broken leg? What made you think that was a good idea?"
Izuku blinked, looked left, looked right, then looked back at his wife, his amazing, patient, beautiful, glaring daggers at him wife, and shrugged his shoulders, "…that I have another leg?"
Ochako blinked at him, twice, three times, on the forth she just sighed and went over to sit next to him on the floor, his costume pants still tangled up on his cast, "you know you're not the only hero in Japan, right?"
Izuku knew where this conversation would lead, they've had it in different forms over the years, but he knew trying to wiggle out of it would do him no good, so slumped on the wall behind him and nodded, "yeah, I know."
"You're not All Might." If it was anyone else saying it, that would have been a slap across the face, but Ochako had a way of speaking harsh truth that left a soft impact, easy to swallow impossible to ignore, "and you saw what happened to him when he just ignored his body."
Toshinori was retired for years now, his injuries finally having a chance to heal now that he wasn't tearing his body apart on a daily basis, but the damage was still visible, from the limp in his step to the pills he carried on his person for the chronic pain.
"…mom invited the two of us to dinner this weekend," Izuku mumbled as he chewed on what Ochako was implying, "told me he's doing better."
"And I'm happy for that." She said, pointedly though he could tell she meant it, "and I'll be happier if you don't push yourself the way he did, and so would your mother…and so would he."
Izuku was quiet for a second, before he rubbed his face and sighed in frustration, "it's been a week Ochako," He looked at her pleadingly, "a week of sitting on this bed and doing nothing but stretches! I should be out there! Helping people!"
"And you will." She said firmly, unmoved, long used to how antsy he got when stuck indoors for too long, "just as soon as that leg heals completely, and not a second before." She leaned her head on his shoulder and nuzzled into his neck, and he could already feel himself faltering. "I know you're worried about people out there, but the others can pull their own."
"I know that." Izuku argues anyway, resolving to at least get this heavy feeling off of his chest, "but I want to help, not stay here where you're stuck helping me put my pants on while you could also be out there helping people."
And that was honestly the crux of it, because it made no sense to deprive the public from a hero like Uravity, who helped just as many if not more people than he did, being a disaster relief hero who rushes into burning building and flooding streets, she shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be holding her back like this, people needed her out there infinitely more than he needed her here…as unbearably lonely as it would be to be stuck here without her.
"…Deku…" The feather soft sound of his hero name in his ear made him turn his gaze to look at her, where she greeted his conflicted face with a kiss to his forehead, "I'm not stuck here." She held his face between her fingers, pinkies held up near his chin, "I want to be here, taking care of you, helping you put your pants on." She said that in a mock of his tone, dragging a chuckle out of him, "because I care about you and want you to get better, that's why I'm here, no other reason than that."
He wrapped his arms around her, letting the heat of her sink into him and ease some of the aches and pains he'd roused with his attempted escape, placing his chin on the space between her neck and shoulder, "…you should still be out there, why help just the one person when you can be saving hundreds?"
Ochako shook her head, but he could practically feel her land on his thread of logic and follow along, "because I trust my friends, like Iida and Tsuyu and Mina and…even Bakugou weird as that is to say out loud."
He laughed, "he'll never hear it from me."
"He better not." She warned playfully as she moved to place her forehead on his, "but the point is, I trust everyone else with that, I trust them to be heroes just like you and me, to be able to pick up the slack while I take care of the person who matters to me more than anyone else on the planet," she made sure their eyes met before she continued, "because the only person I trust with you is me."
He kissed her, softly and slowly, admitting defeat and trying to convey how much he loved her in the quiet seconds their lips met. When they separated he chuckled lightly, feeling more than a little silly right then, "sorry for being dumb…got antsy."
"Don't call yourself dumb." She poked his nose with a scowl, "because you're not, what you are is reckless and determined to give me a heart attack because you're a hopeless, good Samaritan." Her scowl flipped and she smiled at him pleasantly, "apology accepted though…provided you get back on the bed so I can bring you some food."
"You got it!" He tried to get up, slowly, before he remembered that his pants were still tangled around his cast, though doing that too late to stop himself from falling right back on his butt with a comical oof, looking up at his wife with a sheepish smile, "…help me get these pants off?"
Ochako put a hand to her mouth in mock shock, a theatrical gasp floating in the air, "truly? This early in the morning?"
"Ochako."
She put on a very poor "sophisticated" accent, "what would your mother think of this?"
"Ochako please."
"What would my mother say? Taking advantage of a wounded man!"
"Ochako, I need to pee."
"Sorry! Sorry!" She laughed in a manner reserved for those not even the slightest bit sorry as she helped him up, "couldn't resist, consider it payback for trying to sneak off."
"To be fair, I have gotten a lot better about not breaking my bones."
She scoffed with a smirk, kissing him on the cheek as she placed one of his arms across her shoulders, "Try making that argument when you don't have three fractures and a sprained ankle."
He kissed the top of her head, a little bit more in love with her than he was a moment before, impossible as that was even in a hypothetical sense, and smiled wide, "Touché."

Izuocha Week - Day 3 - Silent Night/Crack of Dawn
I decided to go with silent night and basically I went with no dialogue! It’s all really just their inner thought and feeling towards each other.
Izuku was aware. Some of the things he and Uraraka did were cliche things out of some teen movie. Sneaking off late at night to snuggle, talk, and (even though he was embarrassed to admit) make out.
It had become a routine of theirs. Wait until midnight, sneak out to the roof of the dorms, spend time together, sneak back and sleep for a few hours.
Tonight was no different.
Izuku stood by the stairway waiting for Uraraka. She saw her turn the corner and she ran and hugged him. She grabbed his hand and dragged him up the stairs to the roof.
The walk up the stairs was silent. Only their footsteps echoed throughout the stairway.
They got to the roof and sat down in their spot.
Izuku came up behind her and hugged her. She was now sitting in his lap.
He sat his head down on her shoulder and she ran her fingers through his curly green hair.
 Ochako POV
Ochako leaned back into him. He shifted so her head was now up against his shoulder.
He kissed her cheek.
She blushed and smiled.
She leaned into his shoulder, being enveloped in his warmth. His strong arms were wrapped around her waist, adding another level of comfort and security.
Ochako thought about her relationship with Deku. They had been dating for two months now. She had finally confessed to him and he accepted her feelings. They had decided to not tell anyone, but Ochako was pretty sure Mina was suspecting there something going on between them. She seemed to poke at subtle things Deku did.
Mina’s suspicion was probably pretty much Deku’s fault. Ever since they started dating he had become slightly more aware and protective of her during combat training. He’d take blows for her, push her out of the way of flying debris, be super worried when she got a small cut or bruise. It’s not that she minded. She thought it was really sweet of him to be that worried about her, but it was drawing slight suspicion towards them.
They mainly kept their dates late at night and within the dorms. Late because they didn’t want the others to know and in the dorms because being UA students sometimes drew attention and the last thing she wanted was for all of her friends to find out about them because of some news article.
The only other people who did know about them were their parents. She had introduced them to Deku over dinner when they had a long weekend. Her parents lived fairly far from UA so she really didn’t get to see them that often, but they used that one weekend to take the subway all the way out to her parents.
They really liked Deku. He was polite, kind, caring, and her mom’s words exactly “a perfect gentleman”. Her dad was slightly more wary, but still thought he was really nice. She was really relieved when her parents seemed to like Deku and didn’t disapprove of him.
Deku’s mom on the other hand, absolutely adored her. She treated her like family and the saw her quite often, considering she lived within walking distance of the dorms.
They would hang out at Deku’s house, his mom would always make sure to have mochi for whenever she came over because she knew how much she loved it.
Ochako also loved how much Deku cared for his mom. He’d make sure to say “love you” and give her a hug when they left, he helped her without needing to be asked twice, he’d offer to do things for her. Ochako found it really sweet. Not a lot of guys would be that considerate of their mothers so openly.
There was so much she liked about Deku, she could go on for hours about it. His passion and drive to become a hero, his kindness, his dorky personality and his nerdy knowledge of everything related to heroes, the freckles splashes across his nose and cheeks, his messy, wavy hair, and so much more.
She turned to rest her head more into his neck. She felt him lay his own head on top of her’s. She sighed and smiled as she breathed in the scent of his hoodie.
Izuku POV
Izuku thought back on his relationship with Uraraka. He remembered slowing realizing how head over heels in love with her she was. The day she confessed to him had been one of his greatest. He happily accepted and they had been dating ever since.
He loved the simple yet fun dates they planned. Watching movies in his room, going over to his house and spending time together playing games, snuggling.
His mom adored her and liked to occasionally poke at him and say things like “how’s my future daughter-in-law doing” when it was just him around. He’d blush furiously and tell his mom that he wasn’t planning on proposing to her anytime soon. His mom would just smile and laugh at his reaction.
He remembered their first kiss. They had been in his room at home. They were sitting on his bed and he had said something dorky that had made Uraraka laugh. She said he was cute and kissed his cheek. They both started blushing and he had asked her very softly if he could kiss her back. She nodded and he gave her a quick kiss on the lips. He hadn’t realized, but they had been holding hands and Uraraka accidently put her pinky down. He began to float a few seconds after he kissed her and they both burst into laughing, blushing messes. She released him and fell onto his bed on his back. He looked up at her and she brushed his hair out of the way, still giggling.
He remembered the first time she stayed overnight. His mom had no problem with Uraraka coming over and sharing a bed with him as long as she was comfortable with it. She knew Izuku would never try anything with her to make her uncomfortable. They snuggled together and he fell asleep with her in his arms. He woke up and saw her adorable messy bedhead.
He (embarrassingly) reminisce about the first time they made out. They had been in his dorm room and she was about to leave so she kissed him goodbye, but lingered a bit longer than usual. She went in for another kiss and it escalated from there. She was sitting on his lap, fingers in his hair, kissing him. He reciprocated and they made out.
He pushed the thought from his mind before he became more embarrassed.
He loved a lot about her, her cheerful attitude, her soft brown eyes, the way she smiled when he was being a huge nerd, her determination to give her parents a better life. It was all so inspiring to him.
He rested his head on hers, breathing in her strawberry shampoo and the smell of her vanilla perfume.
To them, they didn’t need words to communicate how much they loved each other. They sat there, cuddled together, knowing exactly how much they cared for each other, despite the silence of the night.

How Izuku Learned to Stop Worrying and Enjoy Being in Love (IzuOcha Oneshot)
Summary: Izuku Midoriya is struggling in his newfound romance with Uraraka. He continues to stumble when he is with her as nerves get the best of him. He wonders how he can get better at love but the answers he's searching for are closer to his heart than he thinks.
Izuku Midoriya considered himself a man of many failings.
As he idly scrawled in a small pink notebook before class, he could not help but reflect on those inadequacies. He was not always as strong as he needed to be. He still struggled in a lot of social situations. He could lose control of himself when it came to his hero obsession.
But more than any of those, he hated that he had no idea how to be a good boyfriend.
It was not for a lack of trying. He had dedicated a lot of time studying the subject, dedicating the whole pink notebook to it. Every piece of advice that far too many people had bestowed upon him was carefully recorded, from strategic romantic lines to subtle romantic movements. It was all in the vain hope he could decipher the bizarre machinations - and palpitations - of his own heart.
And much more importantly, Uraraka's.
Izuku had few troubles facing down villains with lives on the line. But facing down the greatest woman he had ever met to woo her on a semi-regular basis was proving to be far more challenging than your average ne'er-do-well.
"Heya, Deku. Whatchya working on?"
"NOTHING, NOTHING DON'T LOOK!" the boy screeched as he leapt upward to stare into the person of his affections. Uraraka hovered over his desk, eyes left blinking at his sudden outburst.
His face burned; he would sooner face Todorki's flames than this kind of heat.
"Oh, okay then. That's fine," Uraraka replied with a tight-lipped smile, completely inscrutable.
"It's just...it's something particular and really rough and kind of private I'm sorry it's not you it's me and I really want to-"
"Good morning class. To your seats," Mr. Aizawa ordered loudly as he grumpily entered their homeroom. The students quickly acquiesced, Uraraka included, as she moved to take her desk near the back of Class 3-A.
"Talk after class," she whispered as she turned her back to him.
Izuku breathed a deep sigh, resisting the temptation to leap out of the room.
Boyfriend. Girlfriend. The words still felt strange bouncing around in his head. The past few weeks had been chaotic. Having Uraraka ask him out. Having an awkward but wondrous first date. Having a first, terrifying, glorious, first kiss. Carefully exchanging their first utterances of "I love you." Riding out the highs and lows of a hormone-driven storm, as young lovers did.
Neither of them had much experience but they worked it out, mostly.
But as fall gave way to the start of winter, the fires of their newfound romance were quickly extinguished under an avalanche of schoolwork and their own nerves. Their easygoing friendship of two years was now fraught with this new element hanging ominously over everything. It seemed their every interaction somehow ended up the same - him blurting out something stupid, or something else going terribly wrong before they both retreated to safer spaces.
He did not regret dating Uraraka - something he had not realized he really, really wanted. But it made everything between them a lot more difficult to manage.
They were burning, passionate people. They cared about one another. But so often, figuring out their relationship under the scope of romantic social conventions made their interactions more glacial than they had been in a long time.
A part of him longed for the more easygoing days. Surely, they could get back to that. Love should not be this hard - or frightening.
"Midoriya?"
Izuku snapped upwards to attention at his teacher's question. He stared straight ahead at Aizawa's unimpressed grimace. He must have zoned out harder than he thought.
He could hear a few giggles buzzing around his ears.
"Sorry, what was that?" Izuku asked quickly, hoping he could wing whatever response was necessary.
Aizawa gave him a tired sigh. "Keep your head out of the clouds and pay attention."
"Right, sorry sir!"
The giggles turned into full-blown laughter at his uncharacteristic spaciness. Izuku blushed deeply, thoroughly humiliated. He relished the chance to plunge his mind into class, something troubled heart.
He leaned on keeping his thoughts preoccupied the entire day, pointedly limiting his interactions with Uraraka until class let out. It was easy enough; their third-year schoolwork was no small task and necessitated the focus.
But the end of the day did arrive and with it came Uraraka marching over to his desk. Much as it was never an unpleasant sight - her lively gait was always a pleasure to watch - he had mixed feelings about the romantic maneuvering their talks now required.
"You seem really out of it today. Something the matter?" she asked, voice light but full of sincere concern. She was always looking out for him; he wished he could pay her back for that, somehow.
Despite bracing himself for conversation, he found himself wholly unprepared for the question. "Oh, uh, yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired I guess?"
Uraraka gazed intently at him, her usual bright smile absent from her face. She did not appear too convinced by him but mercifully let it slide. "Well, I can understand that. But I was wondering…" she trailed off, her eyes suddenly falling to the ground. "Maybe...we could study together later?"
He could see the rosier complexion on her face, something his surely matched. Once, that question would have been simple. A casual night between two friends. Now, the idea carried a lot more baggage - but a lot more promise, too. The promise of the things teenagers in love did.
How could he refuse?
"Sure!" Izuku replied, a little too loudly. He took a breath to try and steady himself, even as his shirt suddenly felt like it was choking him. "You could stop by my room...maybe around seven?"
Uraraka nodded with more vibrancy than he might have expected. "Alright, sounds good! See you later!"
Izuku watched as she rushed out of the room, clearly as eager to end the awkward exchange as much as he was.
"You two make me sick," Bakugo grumbled as he walked by Izuku's desk.
Izuku scrambled on instinct, readying himself for any further barbs. Most of their class was all-too-happy to see him and Uraraka get together after years of pining, but Bakugo had made no secret of his disgust for it.
"You need to get your head out of your ass," Bakugo murmured before walking angrily out of class.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief, glad nothing worse came of it. Their relationship had cooled over the years, but he could never be certain about what might set the explosive boy off.
"How uncouth," Iida said from behind him. Izuku jumped slightly, startled. How had he missed his friend approaching? "Well, forget him. The pair of you seem to be getting along alright. Though admittedly, I'm not the most knowledgeable about this kind of thing."
Izuku stood up, relieved to get back to his dorms in search of respite. "Neither am I, to be honest."
"Well, I suppose experience is the best teacher," Iida mused as the two ventured out of class together. "But you two have been practically inseparable since we first got to U.A. You've always been there for one another and I have no doubt you'll work through your current tension."
"That obvious, huh?" Izuku replied, sighing. He did not fault Iida, but he could very much do without the rest of their class tirelessly watching their relationship.
But there was something to Iida's perspective. They had been in lockstep since before they even entered the building. The many times they teamed up and drove one another - the jitters of the heart were there, but it still felt so natural. Simple. He would forever look back at those days of friendship fondly.
Surely, that was a foundation for a relationship to last. He had jotted that down in his notebook, anyway.
"Pardon me, I don't mean to pry or anything. You two just stand out. And I do care about your well-being, after all." Iida bowed his head slightly in apology, formal as always. It was good to have a constant pillar like Iida. Unlike some things, their friendship had remained a steady constant.
"Don't worry about it," Izuku replied, laughing for the first time all day.
Izuku eventually arrived back at his room, gleefully getting into a comfier T-shirt and shorts. He jumped into his bed and breathed, basking in its softness. It was good to find peace after a difficult day.
With the distraction of school gone, his thoughts turned back to Uraraka, his heart skipping as her adorable face sprang back to his mind. He idly began to tidy up his room to prepare for their study session.
He had seen his fair share of depictions of love in the media, which often made it seem like the greatest joy imaginable. Which he had felt, certainly. But now, he couldn't help but think media undersold the anxiety, the nerves and the work it all involved.
Even in the act of cleaning his room, he found himself second-guessing himself. Should he put away more of his All Might figurines? Have a scented candle to provide a better atmosphere? Was now even the right time to be thinking of romantic gestures, or would she just focus on studying, given her drive?
"Get a grip, Izuku," he mumbled to himself, pulling at his chin. He really was too tense.
He settled on a more minimalist effort, clearing off his desk of memorabilia to give plenty of room for studying. They could leave it at that. Just another session, like the plenty they had before they were dating. No need to get stressed out.
The knocking on his door at 7 p.m. sharp seemed to pulse through his entire body. He sat still for a moment, a sudden onset of nerves freezing him in place.
Maybe a little reason to get stressed out.
With a breath to re-animate himself, he rushed over to the door, opening it widely to see his Uraraka standing there, beaming brightly with a stack of books. She wore a casual pink hoodie and a pair of jeans - nothing out of the ordinary and yet, still radiant.
"Heya Deku!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide and her cheeks looking exceptionally rosy. He blinked, finding it hard to look at her - not an infrequent occurrence. But there was something different about tonight. Her face looked...shinier, somehow.
"HiUraraka," he said quickly, gesturing for her to enter. "You look beautiful!"
The words stumbled out of his mouth without him thinking, and he immediately clamped it shut afterward.
Uraraka nearly stumbled into the room after the compliment, managing to save herself from falling by roughly sliding into the extra seat at his desk. "Thanks, Deku!" she said loudly with her hands balled in her lap. "You look hot!"
The statement hung in the space, quickly expanding to smother out any other sound they could have made. Deku could hear his own pulse ringing in his ears at the proclamation. His eyes bulged outward, but he dared not look directly at her.
She broke the suddenly frosty atmosphere first. "I mean, I mean because you're in a tight shirt! Wait, no, I mean, because you're wearing a shirt and I just noticed they started the heater in the building today and I just wondered if you were feeling - is it warm in here?" Uraraka suddenly pulled at the neck of her sweater, mouth moving more rapidly than he could ever recall.
Watching her murmur like he himself might, looking so flustered - by him, of all people - and feeling tension thick in the room, Izuku could not help it. He burst out laughing. It was ridiculous. He had a much better understanding of why all of this was so often a subject of comedy.
Mercifully, Uraraka joined, laughing with him, clearly relieved. The two dared a glance at one another, eyes full of mirth.
"We're hopeless at this, huh?" Izuku dared, smiling at her.
"Yeah, definitely," Uraraka replied, grinning back, rubbing at her brow. "Who would have thought dating would be so hard?"
"Both of us before we started, I think," Izuku said honestly, shifting to take a seat next to her. He opened his own workbooks, excited to get into the meat of their evening.
"True," Uraraka said with a sigh, shaking her head. "Still, I somehow didn't think it would be this difficult."
"Sorry that this hasn't been my strong suit." He did sincerely wish he could do this better. Be suave or whatever it was. She deserved it.
"Me too," Uraraka responded, giving him a smile that somehow made it all worthwhile. "Shall we get started?"
The two got into their homework in earnest - English, math and finally heroics law. Things fell into a more casual routine, each of them falling back to the patterns they would have as friends. It was nice. Cozy. Comfortable, like crawling under the covers on a cold day.
But Izuku found himself watching Uraraka more intently tonight than he might have before they started going out. He could not help but admire when her face got scrunched up at a difficult question. Or when it morphed into a glorious smile when she gained some new understanding. Or how intense she could get when she focused in on something, so determined and driven in a way he always admired.
He noticed other things, too. Like how soft her hair looked. Her cute, pink cheeks. Her skin, which looked strangely, especially vibrant today. It shined more than usual, which was saying something.
It clicked for him suddenly. He blushed and turned his eyes to his notebook, not bold enough to ask the question directly to her face.
"Are you...wearing makeup tonight?" Izuku inquired, breaking their silence.
He heard Uraraka shift but did not dare to look over.
"Err...yeah. You noticed?"
"Yeah…" Izuku responded, feet tensing beneath his chair. "...It looks good."
There was another awkward moment of noiselessness. Izuku stared intently at his textbook, eyes listlessly reading over some obscure law like it was the most interesting thing in the world. He prayed the compliment landed safely.
"...Thanks," she responded quietly, not saying anything more. Izuku dared not glance over to her.
The two worked for a little while longer, falling back into their routine. They eventually decided on a five-minute break, using it as a reprieve to dissipate the tension stored up in their bodies.
Despite everything, they had once again fallen into a comfortable companionship - until Uraraka broke the spell by reaching out for his hand.
It was far from the first time they had held hands, but it never failed to send a pleasant shock up his arm. Her hand was callused, worn as his was from many hours of training. Yet it still always felt pleasant to his touch and he was eager to grasp it.
He glanced up at her as she squeezed her hand in his, carefully keeping her pinky separated to stop her quirk from activating. She was beaming up at him from beneath her eyelashes, eyes warm as ever. He gulped, his free hand starting to quiver as he lost himself in the wonder of the moment.
She inclined her head ever so slightly, but he did not move. He was frozen still, enraptured, unable to think of anything beyond the feeling of her hand and the light upon her face.
He tried to snap himself back to reality. He should say something. Probably. This was a good time for a romantic line. He just had to wing it.
"You're-"
"Deku, I-"
The two were in-synch enough to speak in unison. But Izuku still felt it just added to the increasingly tense moment.
"You want to go first?" Izuku suggested, forcing himself to smile best he could despite his nerves.
Uraraka's face fell under the shadows of her locks. "No...well, sure, I guess. I just...I don't know. Maybe the moment's lost if that makes sense?"
It did but it did not make Izuku happy. How had he lost a moment so quickly, when he was barely cognizant of it even starting? It was frustrating.
"Yeah, I guess I do," Izuku responded, sighing mournfully. He let go of her hand, reaching out to rub at his temple. "It was a lot easier talking when we were just friends."
He did not think much of the question. They were open enough about some of the hiccups of romance. They trusted each other to talk through it.
But the statement carried more weight than he had imagined.
"Should we...should we just go back to that?"
Izuku let his hand fall to the side and sat up straighter, shocked into alertness by the sudden question. He looked at Uraraka, who was staring away from him, biting her lip.
A chill settled over him, the teasing embers of their teenage love suddenly seeming a distant memory.
"I...um…" he stammered, throat suddenly feeling clogged. His mind whirred, trying to find a suitable answer. "Why do you ask?"
He internally chided himself on the deflection. But he had no idea how to respond. Despite all the awkwardness, the moments of romance they had shared were blissful. He had never even thought about turning away from it all, so soon after starting to experiment with it.
Or had he? Why had he even suggested being friends was easier?
"It's just... you're right. It has gotten harder," Uraraka murmured, staring forlornly over her work. "I was worried before we started going out. I was worried about what it might do to our friendship or whether it would just distract us. And I can't help but feel like it has."
Izuku's mind flashed to that morning when his head got fogged up overthinking about her. She had a point.
He could feel it. A wall of ice, slowly coming between them, each of them burning up on either side of it. Maybe they could break their way through together but that appeared an increasingly monumental task. Especially when his own speech was so artless, with all the grace of an iceberg.
He could remember the days when such barriers seemed smaller. He had to admit that a part of him wanted to go back to that.
But other memories flooded into his mind too. Walking with her, hand-in-hand, after class. Laughing with her on their first date. The scorching heat of their first kiss. Even tonight, watching her, noticing things he realized he never properly appreciated.
"I...I didn't mean anything by it," he stated carefully. As soon as the words left his mouth, it sounded lame, even to him. Why could he not say the right thing? "I still like being with you like this."
"I do too," she responded quickly, looking up at him, a deep frown etched into her face. He hated seeing that on her. "I like it too. It hasn't been bad or anything. I just worry you know?"
"I get it," Izuku replied, reaching out to clasp both her hands, nerves dissipating in a bid to hang onto what they were starting together.
But the contact was fleeting. She gave a quick squeeze but withdrew quickly, eyes glancing to the side.
"Sorry. I was probably just being silly."
"You weren't," Izuku insisted. "I know it's been hard. And I know I've been getting distracted lately. But we can keep trying to get better at this, can't we?"
Uraraka nodded in response. "We always have, right? Still driving each other to improve."
The pair shared a strained laugh at that. It was strange, framing romance like heroics when the two things appeared worlds apart. But both took passion and work ethic. That was something they each had plenty of.
But the peace they returned to was poisonous. His mind wandered into more doubt as he mulled their frosty relations. He wanted to put his all into their romance but he wondered if they really had it in them, especially given the strains they were under as heroes-in-training.
The two exchanged only the lightest of pleasantries, any lingering trace of fleeting romance thoroughly doused by their talk.
"...I think maybe I should get going back. I've been missing out on sleep, so I want to turn it in early," Uraraka said suddenly, stretching out to depart.
It was a full hour sooner than she might normally go on a study night. But Izuku could not blame her for being eager to get away from him.
"Oh, alright. See you...around?" Izuku wished he could have set a date with more confidence, but work-studies and training would keep them busy. Nights like this were fleeting. He wished he had not wasted it.
"Yeah, sure. We'll figure something out," she replied sincerely, with a smile. Without any fanfare, she walked out of the room, waving before shutting the door. "Good night!"
"Good night," Izuku responded, the light slamming of the door rudely banging against his eardrums. He waited a few seconds before letting his head fall to his desk, burying it in his notebook. He gazed into the seemingly endless expanse of white emptiness.
Haywire emotions clashed within him, keeping him locked a strange stillness. Frustration at the icy state of his first love. Anger at his own ineptitude. Anxiety over the endless uncertainties love brought with it, something no amount of effort seemed to help him figure out.
He had messed up somehow. He knew that. He had spoken unthinkingly and he was paying the price.
Izuku set his face into a hard line. His mind conjured up the images that were plaguing him more and more - the two of them, easygoing, meeting up after school, working together at the sports festival, training together in their first year. The nostalgia tasted sweet, his heart eagerly basking in the rays from the suns long set.
But those days were gone now. He had to move on if he wanted to experience what lay within love's confounding mysteries. He might not know what would happen but he would have to trust himself.
More importantly, he needed to trust her. It was Uraraka, after all. She had never let him down.
With a groan, he got out his little pink notebook. He would need to think up an apology - the perfect one. Get a plan ready and act quickly. He would rehearse it, to ensure he avoided shoving his foot in his mouth again.
"This is going to go perfectly," he murmured to himself, before submerging himself in his studies.
Despite his oft-messy exterior, Izuku could operate as efficiently as a well-oiled machine when he put his mind to it.
Today, he went into overdrive. He woke up a half-hour early to put some extra effort into his appearance, combing the messier strands of his hair and ensuring his uniform was neat.
He practiced words to her, mumbling up a storm as he went about the rest of his morning ritual.
He adjusted his green winter coat in the mirror carefully, trying to ensure he did not look weird. Uraraka may not care that much about his appearance - he doubted she would be dating him if she did - but it couldn't hurt to be as proper as possible. More than a few people had given him that advice, anyway.
Satisfied enough, Izuku ran out the door, deftly avoiding a few of his classmates to make it out. A rare snowstorm had hit the area hard last night, leaving the ground coated in a garish mixture of snow, slush and ice. It was early enough that the walkways were still covered.
It was not exactly a picturesque scene, but it would do well enough. Speed was important here. He did not want their terrible conversation from the previous night to fester. Best to face it head-on, like he would a villain.
As he expected, Uraraka was the next person to come through the doors. He knew she had pushed herself to become one of the earlier risers in her class. He had timed his own exit from the dorms accordingly.
Once again, she took his breath away. Dressed in a brown coat and an adorable pink hat and mittens, it seems strange to him how effortlessly she shone. He blinked, as stricken as the first time he laid eyes on her.
"Oh, hey Deku!" she said with her carefree bubbliness, flashing him a smile, seemingly untroubled by the events of the previous night. "Didn't think I'd see you here!"
He gulped, struggling to think with how smitten he was with her. But he had practiced more for this - to avoid his heart tying his tongue. He just had to stick to the script. He could do this.
"Yeah, I thought we could walk to class together this morning and just talk a bit." He kept his voice even-keeled and smooth, displaying little of the nerves he felt. He had to steel himself for this. She deserved that.
Her eyebrows flew upwards on her face, her lips loosening slightly as she appraised him. The expression did not last long, morphing back into another delighted smile. "Sure!"
Thrilled at the early success, Izuku made his way down the front steps. This was good. He had already cleared the first hurdle and she seemed receptive. All he had to do was repeat a few key phrases and he was sure they could put that night behind them. That she could see his commitment. Everything would go exactly as he planned it.
He felt his feet suddenly give way. Before he realized it, he was slipping on a patch of ice. He flipped upward into the air and soon found himself falling rapidly, his eyes gazing upon the overcast skies above.
Izuku prepared to meet the ground and welcomed his own destruction.
Before everything broke apart with his fall, he found himself floating in mid-air. He blinked for a moment, his mind not immediately processing what exactly had happened. He got a strange sense of vertigo as his body adjusted to its sudden weightlessness.
"You okay? We better be careful with all this ice!" Izuku inclined his head to see Uraraka, eyes focused intently on him. She still wore her beautiful smile, her suddenly ungloved hand extended, connected to his upper arm. When had that happened? She had quick reflexes.
Uraraka had saved him. Again.
His mind suddenly flashed, his heart hammering as he found himself warping back two years. He occupied two spaces, two times, at once. The pair of them together before their entrance exam. Both of them here, together, now. A strange, cute girl going out of her way to stop him from face-planting. His wonderful girlfriend preventing him from falling, rescuing him once more. Uraraka grinning at him in both places, friendly as always. Him, completely flabbergasted.
Oh. Oh. Right. It had always been this way.
She had always sent his heart flying with the greatest of ease. She had always gotten him flustered. Since they came to U.A., she had always been there for him. Had always been a friend, a companion, a saviour. At the core, nothing between them had changed.
She was one of his heroes. What had he ever been so afraid of?
In his mind's eye, he could see the wall of ice that had formed between them. That he had formed between him with his own glacial thinking. With a thought, the ice broke apart, no longer separating him from his best friend.
"Err...Deku? You alright?"
Izuku flew back into the present, his head no longer feasting on the sweet mixture of nostalgia and love. He saw Uraraka waving her bare hand before him, trying to bring him back to reality.
Without thinking, he grabbed a hold of the hand, making it fall still. He lowered it, giving her a wide grin.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Sorry about that!"
He noted a blush flooded her cheeks, but she did not react otherwise. However, her expression faltered after the moment lasted a few seconds too long.
"Hey, Deku?"
"Hmm, what is it?"
"I need my hand back if I'm going to release you."
"Oh, right!" he laughed as he let go. A voice inside nagged at him for the blunder, but in this instant, he no longer felt worried about such missteps. Suddenly, he felt surer about their bond than he could ever remember being.
She took off her other glove and carefully brought her fingers together. He oriented himself to land on his feet, taking care not to slip this time.
He had a script he could launch into right now. Prepared, rehearsed, proper. The words would not lead him astray.
But that speech would not do for him now. He let it scatter to the far reaches of his mind. His faith in his carefully prepared romantic notes went with them.
A true hero spoke directly from the heart. He could not be afraid of that anymore.
"I love you, Ochako Uraraka," he stated unabashedly, reaching out to grab one of her hands again. "And I want to stay with you."
The silence was palpable. Uraraka blinked rapidly at him, her eyebrows furrowing. "...What…?"
"Sorry, I just felt I needed to say that." Izuku kept his muscles lax and his voice even-keeled. He refused to get budged by nerves again. His feelings for Uraraka were an unshakeable pillar now; his actions would reflect that. "I messed up last night and I'm sorry about that. I couldn't wait to apologize. I don't want there to be any doubt about how I feel about you. About us."
"Oh. Oh." He felt a hard squeeze on his hand and watched as Uraraka suddenly inclined her head downward. "This is a lot to take in, Deku."
He reached his free hand out towards her, wanting to comfort her. "Sorry, Uraraka I didn't mean-"
"I wanted to say sorry, too. I felt awful about what I said last night," she said softly, her eyes flying upward to meet his. She stared forward, her irises displaying a powerful intensity. "But I guess you beat me to the punch this time."
He breathed, a pressure lifting off his chest. "Well, that's-"
Before he could react further, Uraraka pounced on him, throwing her full weight into it. He caught her easily enough, but he was left defenceless as she wrapped her arms around him and pressed her lips into his.
His pulse raced as he pushed back into her, drinking all of her in. Their kisses before were chaste, delicate, his insecurities often freezing him in place. This was different. They were melting in a passionate inferno, the two heroes pushing, driving each other, harmonious as they ascended to the heavens.
Uraraka pulled away first, but did not separate, keeping her forehead connected to his. Her brown eyes shined brighter than ever, like stars lighting the way in the sky.
"Wow."
"Wow," he echoed.
"Love you, Deku," she stated simply, surely. "Sorry, I wanted to get you back for surprising me, somehow."
She gave him a cheeky grin and he laughed at that.
"Not how I expected we'd next say that to each other, but I'll take it," she continued.
"I guess it had been a while." He could not remember exactly when they had last exchanged simple affirmations of love. Had it been that first date? Was he so lost in his own head that he had forgotten to repeat it?
"...Too long, I think," she replied grinning back. "We both got a little lost."
"Well, I promise I'm going to say it more often," he murmured sweetly to her, inclining his head slightly to press a kiss to her forehead. "I'm done with worrying. I love you, Uraraka."
"...Were you planning this?" she questioned, her head hot under his lips.
"Not exactly. My idea kind of...went up in the air."
She giggled at that. "This is because I caught you?"
Perhaps that should be embarrassing but he nodded without hesitation. "I realized how much you've been there for me. And how things don't have to change so much between us. We're still friends."
"The best," she corrected.
"And we'll be there for each other, right?" He raised a fist towards her. "Every step of the way."
Uraraka completed the fist bump. "Same as ever."
"So should I really worry about if we're dating?" It was a rhetorical question, now. At that moment, he knew he would not be inhibited by those doubts again. Most of the time, anyway. But they would work through any hurdles together.
"Not at all," she answered anyway, for herself and for him.
She suddenly opened her hand, grabbing onto him and triggering her quirk. He went weightless once more, allowing her to more easily pull him in and share their love together once more.
Forevermore.

2020 Fic Review
I saw this floating around my dash and figured I’d give it a go, lol. So let’s dive on in!
Total number of stories (completed/WIPs):
Completed: 16
WIPs: 3
Fandoms written in: Boku No Hero Academia & Voltron Legendary Defender
The completed fics this year are:
Boku No Hero Academia
An Abundance of Snow and Ice, After Work, How It Feels to Take a Fall, Silence, Glass Ceiling, Butter or No?, Of Cow Pastures and Hay Bales, Anomalies in the Heart and Body, Forbidden, We’ve Fallen, Beach Days, An Abundance of Coffee and Sugar, Homemade Soup, What Does it Mean, to be a Hero? , Spontaneity, An Abundance of First Impressions,
Voltron Legendary Defender
Amidst the Stars
Total Word Count: 296,848 I still can’t even believe it omg XD
Tagging: Anyone who wants to do it! This is fun lol
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?
Yes and no. I wrote so goddamn much and most of it goes right to one of my ongoings, which is nearing its end. XD But otherwise I wrote a lot of small oneshots, lol.
What’s your own favorite story of the year?
Oof. There’s a lot I’m proud of, but An Abundance of Penguin Shit holds a special place in my heart. It’s very much about my life’s passion, on top of thematically being about healing and falling in love again and belonging.
Did you take any writing risks this year?
Haha yeah. XD Even though Penguin Shit was started in 2019 it was largely written this year and the whole fic is present tense, something I hadn’t written much of prior to that. So that’s been one huge risk lmao.
Also some of the fics I wrote were definitely pushing some different thematic boundaries. Like Glass Ceiling-- for Izuocha week but is largely Ochako centric. It dives into themes involving dealing with sexism and all that and is still a work I’m pretty proud of.
Do you have any fanfic goals for the new year?
Finish my outstanding wips and continuing to write and grow. XD
Best story of the year?
Hmm... Penguin Shit is up there, but I also gotta point to What Does it Mean, to be a Hero? because that one surprised me with how good it managed to be. It was a struggle to write but I pulled some good shit outta my ass for that one XD
Most popular story of the year?
An Abundance of Penguin Shit lmao. It’s one of my ongoings and it’s knocked everything else out of the water, which I’m okay with because I’ve worked really hard on it. :3
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Oof. There’s a few I wish did better because I definitely feel like they showcase some of my better work lol. But Forbidden, We’ve Fallen, is probably one of the top. It poured from me, lol, and there’s a lot of feeling there just waiting to be felt.
Most fun story to write:
Well obviously Penguin Shit is up here-- again it’s literally my life’s work and passion XD But Of Cow Pastures and Hay Bales was stupidly fun lmao. Just basically a dumb shitpost and I don’t even care.
Story with the single sexiest moment:
ahgshdg I’ve only ever written a handful of stories that were sexy and none in my current fandom ^^; Closest would probably be Forbidden, We’ve Fallen because there’s a ‘lil makeout scene that had my friends teasing me and eyeballing me like “Kat pls”. They literally only kiss though X,D
Most sweet story:
Probably Homemade Soup :3 It’s just a classic, cozy hurt/comfort fic with lots of comfort and fluff. XD
”Holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you!” story:
wheezes. I think most of my fics are pretty standard X,D Anomalies of the Heart and Body is kinda brutal, though, as is What Does it Mean, to be a Hero?
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
I don’t know if any of my stories shifted my perception, per say, as much as I got to dig into some characters more and explore them in detail... I think Roots of My Heart has been one of those-- it’s my first earnest foray into Kirishima’s perspective in like a longer fic setting. So it’s been fun.
Most unintentionally telling story:
Hrm. I don’t really know. I don’t really go into any of my fics with anything more concrete than a handful of scenes or ideas, and themes just kinda develop organically for the most part. XD So I’m sure they all have something unintentionally telling within them.
Hardest story to write:
Amidst the Stars, primarily because it was for VLD and I have pretty much lost all creative gumption for that fandom 😔 But it was for a zine and I wanted to finish it so I managed.
Biggest disappointment:
Hmm... probably not finishing my outstanding wips. X,D But Progress has been made so I can’t be too mad.
Biggest surprise:
Probably getting as much support as I have for my fics, even those that didn’t get a lot of traffic. It never ceases to amaze me that people enjoy what I make and it means the world. <3

well i hope you enjoy!
Izuocha Week 2020 Day 1: After Work
Summary: Izuku decided to ask Ochako to marry him on April 14th
She was pacing around their shared bedroom and ranting about her day’s tribulations, hands animated and words quick, when Izuku realized she was the one.
Ochako had barged into their bedroom just as he left the master bathroom and began with, “Oh you will not believe the day I had today.”
“Oh no, what happened?” he had said and sat down on the foot of their bed, preparing for the much-needed vent. For the first five minutes of it, he had voiced his own frustration and anger in between her pauses—”What? No way! What an ass! Are you kidding me?”—but after that, she had begun pacing and had begun talking too fast for him to give input. Normally whenever she told him of the trials she went through as a thirty-two year old female hero in today’s society, he simmered in his own rage that anybody could ever disrespect the Uravity, but that night as he watched her pace and vent and trash some dirtbags, he’d never felt more in love. (He did feel incredibly pissed though, make no mistake).
It’s not as if he didn’t know he loved Ochako before, and that she loved him, but something about hearing her absolutely eviscerate some of the cockier, pig-headed heroes she had to work with that day with quick, venom-laced words and a voice that was getting more and more accented by the second locked her in his heart forever. She really was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It seemed so obvious, now that the idea had finally formed in his mind. Who else would he ever want at his side for all of eternity?
“Anyway,” she harshly sighed, pausing in front of him. She seemed to have gotten her frustration out of her system. “That’s about all that happened. How was your day?”
He considered telling her. She would say yes, that he knew for sure (well okay, he was about 90—80—70—he was pretty sure she would). He could ask her right that moment, as he gazed up at her lean, breathless figure that stood above him inquisitively. He should probably answer her—
“Ah, well, you know,” he said, trying to calm the dancing of his heart as his mind filled with half-baked proposal plans and thoughts of weddings and anniversaries and life spent at her side. “About the same for me, as usual. Paperwork is killing me these days.”
Ochako laughed as the rest of her anger drained out of her and she stepped forward into his awaiting arms, melting into his embrace. “Well maybe if you didn’t spend so much time rushing off every time you hear someone be mildly inconvenienced, you’d be more on top of things.”
Izuku laughed and securely wrapped his arms around her waist. His tone was light and teasing, but he looked at her as if she were the moon, full and bright in a sky of sparkling stars. “If I had a 100 yen for every time someone told me that.”
“We wouldn’t even need to work anymore,” Ochako joked, interlacing her fingers behind his neck, “we’d be the richest couple in the entire world.”
“Hey, who says I’m sharing? I earned that money for being a selfless do-gooder fair and square!” His face hurt from smiling so hard. His heart felt so full, his stomach so nervous and excited. He felt as if he could float right off their bed. God, he loved her so much.
Ochako snorted. “Self-sacrificing douchebag, more like it. What must your managers think, rushing off into danger at the blink of an eye?”
“I dunno about my manager, but the public and Hero Commission seem to love it,” he jokingly bragged. He was currently up by five places on her. They’d never cared much about the numbers, but there was nothing wrong with a little competition to tease their lover and friends (it was especially entertaining boasting to Kacchan, who would fly into a rage at the mere mention of you being a single place higher than him).
Ochako rolled her eyes and poked him accusingly in the center of his chest, leaving one hand resting on the base of his neck. “If the public knew that you weren’t the hunky, cool guy you broadcast to them and were actually just a huge dork who still freaks out over heroes, they wouldn’t stick around.”
“You wound me!” he exclaimed, feeling as if he might burst from all of the emotions bubbling inside him. He could feel himself shaking with the euphoria of their banter, of being so close to her, of being the luckiest man in the universe. “I can very much be both a nerd and a cool, life-saving guy!”
“Only a nerd who knows his friends will never let him forget his nerdy nerding out would believe that,” she countered.
“Ah—hm…”  Well, she’s got him there.
Her expression turned smug as he searched for a response. Finding none, he tightened his grip around her, pulling her even tighter to him, and began pressing messy distraction kisses all over her jaw, neck, and collar. She let out shrieking laughter as he did, shoving at his shoulders. “No, Deku, I’m all dirty!”
“You’re beautiful,” he said into her skin. After realizing normal pushing wasn’t going to do it, Ochako laid all five fingers upon his exposed neck and Izuku felt the familiar feel of weightlessness. Then, Ochako pushed him all the way down onto the bed by the shoulders and effectively stopped his campaign of kisses.
“Hey, quirks are cheating!” he playfully accused and she rolled her eyes.
“So is kissing me to distract me from my win,” she countered and her eyes gleamed. “Don’t you think that worked, either.” He paused in his adoring to look up at her still smug expression, something she still managed to pull off with a bright red face.
“Maybe I wasn’t trying to distract you,” he lied, though the next part was true. “Maybe I just couldn’t resist kissing my cute girlfriend, ever think of that?”
Somehow, her face glowed even brighter, but she rolled her eyes again. As she did, he quickly bent his arms to grasp at her wrists and used her weight to flip their positions. She hadn’t been as solidly braced as she would have been during a fight, nor had he been pinned for the same reason, so the flipping was significantly easier than he was used to in their past matches. Taking advantage of her shock, he quickly pushed her hands together and his stomach dropped along with the rest of him as his gravity returned. As he fell, he pushed her hands onto either side of her head and pinned her there as his feet landed solidly on either side of her.
They blinked at each other for a silent few seconds, Ochako half off the bed and Izuku hunched over it and her, and then he said, “Wow, I can’t believe that worked.”
Ochako snorted, amusement breaking through her surprised expression, and she cried, “That’s so like you!”
“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean?!” he protested, but Ochako’s laughter was contagious and he soon joined her. His hands released her wrists, sliding to brace himself on the bed under her. warm and happy and so in love it hurt.
Ochako wrapped her arms around him as her laughter died down, sighing happily and relaxing into the bed. Izuku gazed down at her, his eyes and smile soft, and wondered for the millionth time how he could have been so lucky.
One of her hands went from his back to his cheek, her four-fingered touch gentle and expression soft. His own breath caught in his throat, exactly like it’s done since high school. She gently caressed his cheek with her thumb and whispered in the space between them, “I love you.”
His smile pulled taut across his face again and, with a gasping breath, said, “I love you too.” She let out a single laugh and he lowered his mouth to capture it between his lips, eyes burning and heart soaring.
Izuku could think of proposals and weddings and their future, together, later. He had time. They had time. And right now, all he wanted to do was spend that time here, in the present, with his incredible, amazing, absolutely wonderful love as they relaxed and loved together in the calm of their home after work.

Hungry
Decided to write another Izuocha fic based on dumb stuff I was doing earlier. Got steamier than intended, and it’s cheesy lol
Deku catches Ochako doing stupid stuff
Ochako tossed and turned in her bed, wrapped up in the warmth her green comforter provided her.
She yawns, eyes peering open and staring up at her astronomy poster with an out of focus gaze.
She groggily reached over to her nightstand, fumbling around to grasp at her phone in the dark.
She felt something that matched its shape and took it from it's place.
Ochako flips it open, immediately regretting it as the light from her flip phone blinded her. She groans lightly, squinting at the phone to gain any sort of clarity.
"2:37AM"
As she grimaced at the early time, she felt her stomach grumble. She moved a hand over her stomach to silence it's complaints, flipping her phone closed and placing it back on the nightstand.
But her stomach wasn't having any of it.
She was so nice and cozy and warm. Why of all times did her body decide that now was the time she needed sustenance?
"But I don't wanna get upppp.." she mumbled to herself. Almost as if on queue, her stomach voiced another growl. Much louder than the previous times.
"Ugh, fine." She grumbled out, throwing her covers off of herself and planting her feet and standing up. Feeling her head dizzy at the quick action and attempting to stabilize herself.
Trudging over to the other side of her room, she flipped the light switch on. She opened her closet door, eyes scanning over the dry goods she kept to herself.
"Ramen sounds good, I guess." She said, grabbing one of the instant ramen bowls she'd bought at the convenience store a few days ago. She was accustomed to eating them often. They were tasty, quick and easy to make and most importantly, cheap.
She slipped on her house slippers and gently opened her door, careful not to wake any of her classmates. Normally, Aizawa would scold them for being out this early.
However, it was the weekend. They still needed to train and do their best, even on their days off. But Aizawa was more lax when classes weren't going to be held the next day.
She'd been caught more than a few times sneaking into the kitchen late at night. Aizawa was quite strict with curfew rules, so the few times he'd catch her sneaking in he would scold her for being up so late. The most he would let anyone do is grab something to drink and tell them to hurry back to bed.
But he definitely wouldn't mind if she got up to fix herself something to eat, right?
At least, that's what she hoped.
Ochako rounded the corner of the dorm hallway, peering left and right to make sure no one was in sight. She gently walked over to the elevator, pressing the 'up' button. Gently tapping her slippered foot as she awaited its arrival.
"I wonder if anyone else is up right now.." She pondered to herself. Surely, there had to be a few. If she had to make a guess, Tokoyami was definitely one of them. Possibly Jirou, maybe Shouji.
As gentle ding snapped her out of her thoughts, seeing that her metal carriage had arrived.
She walked forward, gently pressing the 'down' button. She leans back against the wall of the elevator, taking in the sounds of pulleys moving her toward her destination.
The door opens, and she peers out, searching for any sight of their teacher. Not seeing anyone, she tiptoes her way into the kitchen.
She flicks the lights on, a buzz resounding in the room. She walks toward the sink and tears the lid off her soon-to-be meal, filling it with water and throwing it into the microwave for three minutes.
She absentmindedly stares at her bowl, spinning around as more thoughts fill her mind. Feeling a little more awake now that she walked down here.
She closes her eyes, enjoying the silence in the dorm. She could swear she could make out the light sounds of a guitar strumming. Maybe Jirou was up, after all. "Maybe I'll pay her a visit if I can't get back to sleep tonight.." She says, to no one in particular.
Ochako stares up at the ceiling, leaning against the kitchen counter.
Her mind recalls the previous week and all the work they've done. They were practicing their basic forms as well as improving their quirks. Everyone was told to try to find a fighting style they felt worked well with their quirk. Some of the less combat-oriented students were a bit lost on what to do about their forms. She looked into other moves she could use to improve her technique, though she found the martial arts Gunhead taught her to be a good match for her.
Looking around the kitchen and making sure no one was around, she decided to practice her moves while waiting on her food.
She pivots her foot behind her, balling her fists together and gives the air a punch. The air whistling past her fist.
She punches the air once more, quickly holding her forearms together afterward to block.
Her mind quickly imagines up a pretend opponent, and she puts up a pretty good fight against them.
After about 20 seconds, she realizes how silly she must look. Practicing her form in the kitchen, in fuzzy pink pajama's close to 3 am. She giggles to herself, and gives the air another punch but in a much more comical manner.
She shuffles her feet around in a goofy manner, pretending to practice kung fu. She kicks high up into the air, mumbling a "wa-tah!"
Soon she's chopping the air in random places, mumbling a high-pitched "hi-ya!" each time she does so.
She continues to shuffle around, side chopping the air. Her movements completely devoid of any skill. She makes more little silly noises, completely lost in her own goofiness.
"Yeah, that's right. You better run away." She whispers out in a silly tone.
She pivots on one foot and turns around to chop another opponent.
She freezes, her eyes meeting a pair of emerald green ones a few feet in front of her.
Deku is standing a few feet away, hand covering his mouth in an attempt to stifle his laughter.
She's frozen in her goofy position, an awkward smile still plastered on her face. The microwave goes off with a resounding 'beep'.
Her face goes beet red, "H-how much did you see..?" She manages to squeak out.
He wheezes and bends over in laughter, unable to stifle it. She throws her hands up to her face, feeling the heat radiating off of it.
And also felt herself float up to the ceiling, wishing it didn't exist so she could float off into the stratosphere.
"Sorry, I came downstairs to grab a bottle of water, and happened to see you practicing your form." He says as he catches his breath. He couldn't help but watch his friend. She looked so determined and poised. Like she was ready to take on anyone. But then she started being silly, and he couldn't help the grin that spread across his face. She was being a goober in the kitchen at 3 am, how was he supposed to not laugh?
That, and...he couldn't help but admire how cute she looked.
Ignoring the heat flooding into his cheeks, he approaches her, reaching for her arm to pull her down from the ceiling.
"But I guess you're a kung-fu master now, huh?" He says, laughing heartily.
Ochako peers through her fingers to send him a glare, but is completely unable to in that moment.
He's looking up at her, laughing and smiling up at her. Giving her the purest, brightest smile she had ever seen.
She can't but love the sound of his laugh. Had she ever heard him laugh before..? She didn't think so.
Ochako feels him pulling her down, and she floats down awkwardly. Still in a daze, she can't look away from him. Wonder filling her doey eyes as his own finally open to meet hers.
It feels like everything slows down for a moment. A comforting warmth spreads through her as she peers into his eyes.
Why cant she look away? Not that she wanted to. She could stay here forever and swim in the sea of emerald that was his eyes.
Izuku had stopped laughing as he noticed her looking into his eyes. He's completely mesmerized by her.
She's floating above him upside down, at face level with him. Her deep brown eyes are boring into his soul, looking at him with wonder.
He feels himself become lost in them. Lost in her.
Her chestnut brown hair floats gently around her face, locks of it rippling through the air.
"She's so beautiful.." He hears himself think. Subsequently snapping him out of his daze just enough to realize what was happening.
Her face was just a little too close to his own.
"U-Uraraka..?" He stutters out, his face crimson.
"..Huh..?" She says dreamily, her dazed eyes beginning to fill with clarity.
Oh. OH. Right.
"R-Release.." She says as she spins back into place, her feet falling to the floor once more.
Both of them stand there for a moment, completely silent and red all over.
"Ur....Ur-Uraraka..?" Izuku starts, unsure if he should speak at all with how bad he's stuttering. He clears his throat in an attempt to quell his own nervousness. "Was there..something you wanted to ask me..?"
"Huh..?" She says, glancing over to him. He's looking down at the floor, with a hand on the back of his neck.
Oh..right. She did look pretty deep into his soul just a moment ago. In that moment, it probably did look like she wanted to ask him something.
"Oh, no actually. You just caught me off guard a little." Ochako says, twiddling her thumbs.
Izuku turns to look at her, an eyebrow cocked upwards in confusion. "What do you mean..?"
She walks off to the side a bit, opening the microwave and getting her bowl before her food gets too cold.
"I think..that was the first time I've ever heard you laugh." She says, closing the microwave door with her elbow. If she was honest with herself, she never wanted to quit hearing that laugh.
"R-really?" Izuku says, his head tilted to the side a bit. His face had a hint of surprise written on it.
Sure, he wasn't as silly as the others had been. But had she really never heard him laugh before?
Mirio was right. He did need to learn how to have a sense of humor.
"Yup..It stunned me a little" Ochako said with a nervous giggle, not daring to look into his eyes. "Besides, it was really cute!" She said, beaming at him with a grin full of sunshine.
Izuku could've died just then. His heart was beating so fast he feared going into cardiac arrest.
"Cute. CUTE. Him?!? She called him CUTE?!?"  Deku screamed internally, stuttering complete nonsense and fidgeting. His skin feeling so hot it could rival Todoroki's flame. His mind too far gone to understand she only called his laugh cute.
Ochako watched him fall apart with a grin. She loved making him nervous and teasing him. It was just too easy.
"Well then," She says, resuming her silly stance in crane formation. "You wanna take me on?" She asks, giving a playful jab to his gut.
He stumbles back and out of his stupor, giggling a bit at her playful gesture. "Oh, it's on." He says with whimsical determination, taking on a silly stance of his own.
What ensued was a series of goofy slap fighting and stupid cheesy 'karate' sounds.
She starts giggling uncontrollably through the entire thing, and he's beaming at her. Her laugh was something he never wanted to stop hearing.
She manages to get behind him and put him in an arm hold. Causing him to lean back into her shoulder.
He can feel her soft cheek against his, and he feels like he could stay in that arm hold forever. Was he dead? Was he in heaven? He sure hoped so.
They stay like that for a few seconds. Izuku's body relaxes against her and she becomes quite aware of their position when he does.
She loosens her hold on him, just enough for him to break free and knock her off her feet by swinging his leg just hard enough behind her knees. Catching her before she has the chance to hit the ground.
"I win." He says with a cheeky grin, before opening his eyes.
They both light up crimson for the hundredth time that night. Izuku audibly gulps at the sight before him.
He's holding her, standing above her and slightly crouched down. One hand on the back of her head, nested in her unbelievably soft hair. The other on the small of her back.
"D-Deku-Kun..?" She says in a light whisper. She's mystified at the feeling of being in his arms. The warmth of his hands on her, and his eyes looking into her own. Clearly filled with surprise, but there's something else there she continues to search for.
Without thinking, he leans down ever so slightly more to hear her. His eyes land on her lips once the whispered words leave them. "Y-Yeah..?" He stutters out, his voice cracking a bit. He's lost once more in his beautiful friend resting in his arms.
Ochako continues to stare into his eyes, searching for an answer. An answer to all of her questions about him.
Was this wrong, what they were doing?
Was it longing she saw in his deep green eyes?
How is she supposed to keep her feelings for him hidden when he's holding her and looking at her like this?
Izuku looks on into her eyes, seeing them shift down as if she's in deep thought. He begins to feel a little worried until her eyes fully meet his again.
"H-Have I ever told you.." She says, raising a hand up to cup his face, careful not to make him float. She places her other hand on the curve of his neck. His eyes soften that much more when she does. "-That your eyes are beautiful..?" She finishes, watching his eyes widen.
Izuku feels a surge of confidence, deciding to lean closer to her. His forehead meeting her own. She inhales sharply at the feeling. She felt like she was floating in a sea of warmth and love. She moves a hand into his hair and pulls him slightly closer, their noses brushing.
"Have I ever told you that you're beautiful?" He says, not missing a beat. His voice sends shivers down her spine. He was a completely different person apart from the flustered Deku she saw a few moments ago. His eyes are hazed over with a look of wanting, and need.
In that moment, she couldn't stand hiding her feelings for him anymore. She needed to feel his lips against hers.
She leans up just slightly, her lips brushing gently against his. He let out a low groan at the feeling. He couldn't think anymore, his mind blanked entirely upon feeling her lips just barely graze his.
"Have I ever told you that I love you?"
She whispered against his lips.
And that did it in for him.
He pressed his lips into hers fully, both mewling in mutual pleasure. Both of their lips warm and wet. The sound of moans and lips meeting and separating bounced off the walls of the once empty kitchen. He presses her against the kitchen counter, running his tongue against her bottom lip. Barely feeling her own touch his. They melted into each other, her hands dug into his fluffy dark green hair. Their kiss becoming more heated as the seconds pass by. Izuku widens their kiss so their tongues can meet, writhing against each other in a passionate dance.
They kissed for what felt like hours, but it lasted only a few minutes.
Izuku is the first to pull away, he places both palms on her cheeks, running his thumb across the tears that ran down them.
"I love you, Ochako." He says, with a smile filled with adoration. He hid his feelings for his best friend for so long, pushing them down as a means to keep focusing on working towards being the symbol of peace.
They leaned against each other, holding each other and staring into each others eyes. Swaying back and forth slowly to the sound of silence. Nothing could ruin this night for them.
"Ahem."
Both of them jumped, being knocked out of their dreamland. They separated a bit to see who was standing behind them.
Shit.
Aizawa was standing there, his eyes glowing a deep red. "Both of you." He began, annoyance clear in his voice. "Are coming with me." He says, annoyance prevalent in his deep voice.
They both know what's coming.
Aizawa takes hold of his scarf and grabs both of them, dragging them down the hall on the way to his office.
Both of them are dying of utter embarrassment, stained red as their classmate's file out of their rooms one by one to see what's going on.
They're both given a week of house arrest, plus being tasked with cleaning the outer grounds of their dormitory. Ochako's ramen went cold that night, and neither one of them slept.
As both of them sweat from the amount of work they've been tasked, they can't help but feel left out of the loop from the rest of their class.
It sucks, but they didn't regret it.

Izuocha Week 1 - Wedding
(I’m back and still love this couple!!)
ficlet under the cut~ enjoy!
“And...done!”
As Izuku and Ochako finally relaxed from their positions, Hatsume peeked from behind her camera, peering at the images on the screen carefully. “Ooh, these are great! Y’all wanna see?”
Tooru and Mina were the first to rush over, gasping excitedly over the photos. “Oh my gosh you guys,” Tooru squealed, “this is so adorable!”
Bakugou peered over. “Jesus Christ, these are enough to give me diabetes, the fuck?”
“Language,” Kaminari yelped dramatically, gesturing wildly at Momo’s abdomen. Todoroki, for his part, covered his wife’s stomach with his hands.
“Oh fuck off,” Bakugou groaned. “She’s still only at 16 weeks and the twins can’t hear shit until 18, so I can say whatever the fuck I want.”
The entire group stared at him in silence until: “Dude,” Kirishima whispered in awe. “You’re gonna be the best uncle ever.”
Blushing furiously, Bakugou was about to object when Hatsume interrupted. “Guys, as much as I want to talk about Bakugou’s surprising uncle skills, the sun’s going down and I don’t want my baby to be outside for too long,” she hugged the camera close to her chest. “Any requests?”
Tooru sighed. “It’d be so romantic if Izuku-kun could carry Ochako-chan since they’re in their wedding clothes!”
“Oh my god,” Mina blurted. “Ochako-chan bridal carrying Izuku-kun.”
“Dude, that’d be awesome.”
“If they’re doing that I want these photos too!”
“How absolutely sparkling!”
Ochako turned to her husband (!!) with a grin. “Whaddya say, wanna do it?”
Izuku grinned and allowed her to hoist him up with relative ease.
“Challenge accepted!” Ochako hollered, effectively stopping the group’s conversations.
While admittedly romantic to a point, the image of petite Ochako bridal carrying Izuku (who was definitely a head taller than her) was simultaneously terrifying and hilarious.
“Ochako-san!” Iida fretted. “Please be careful in those heels!”
“It’s fine, kero,” Tsuyu reassured. “Her normal costume has heels anyway, so I’m sure she’s used to this.”
Hatsume’s camera clicked frantically. “This is amazing, hold the pose for a bit Ochako-chan!... Alright, done. You can put him down now!”
Ochako laughed, pulling him a little closer. “What if I don’t want to?” she challenged.
Izuku laughed. “Well, you heard the lady,” he said, and then he winked, just as the telltale click of the camera shutter went off.
“I saw you wink just then, Deku!”
“This is so adorable, what the hell?”
“I want a girlfriend...”
“Dude, Izuku looks so proud. That’s straight-up wholesome.”
“Absolutely sparkling!”
“Remind me to never fight Ochako-san.”
“So CUTE!”
Izuku grinned, linking his fingers with Ochako’s, and they walked back together to their waiting friends.

IzuOcha Week 2020 day 1
Our flight over from Japan to Hawaii wasn't as long as I was expecting, only 8 hours in total. After we got off the plane, Ochako’s parents were ecstatic to finally be here. It's hard getting any time off when you are The Symbol of Heroism itself. Ochako and I have been dating since our third year at UA high and got together when the Meta Liberation Army attacked UA and I saved her life knowing that if she died I couldn't go on. That was five years ago and I haven't told her the true meaning to our little vacation. As far as she's aware we are bringing her parents here to spend 3 months in a five star resort on the main island. Not to flex on anyone or seem ungrateful but when you're a top ten hero let alone the number one pro hero, money isn't an object anymore. I don't do my job for it's ridiculous 12 digit salary, I do it because it is the right thing to do. The real reason I brought Ochako’s family here, including her of course, is to propose to Ochako.
Once collecting our bags from the baggage claim we make our way to the rental car center and then freak out slightly because they don't drive on the same side of the road as we do in Japan. Once collecting our car from the rental office we leave the airport destined for the main resort on the Island. King Kamehameha’s Palace resort, sounds like something out of dragon ball but apparently he was an actual person. Unlike the resort because the Author couldn't be bothered to look up a resort in Hawaii and is now having me break the fourth wall to let you all know that it's fake as far as he is aware, and seriously stop with the comments about fixing the wall I'm just going to break it again because the Author wants me to. Anyways, the resort is absolutely massive and when we arrive both Ochako's Mother, Tousa, and my brunette lover herself, pass out from seeing the lavish building that looks like it's made of gold. We get separate rooms and make our way to the east penthouse suite and Ochako’s parents are in the west one.
“I can't believe it Izuku! This is amazing! Everything is so nice! The soap looks like it costs 10,000,000 yen to hold! And the bed feels so soft! We need a bed like this in the house!” Ochako exclaims as she sets down her toiletry bag and flops on the massive bed. I smile at her reaction before unpacking my bag and putting it in the drawers by my side of the bed.
“You say that but most nights you end up sleeping curled around me like our little Mochi and Udon. Speaking of, do you think they will be fine staying with Eri and my mom? She already has 5 cats so the two rowdy kittens might be a little bit of trouble.” I respond thinking of our twin tuxedo kittens whose coats are the inverse of the other. One being black on most of her belly aside from her stomach and her brother being the opposite.
“Eri will probably be snuggling with them all day. For cats those two are surprisingly lazy. Izuku… I never got to thank you for everything. Saving my life, going out of your way to raise my self esteem, training with me when you unlocked float, everything you've done with me or for me.” She says hugging me and laying her head on my chest. I rub my arm along her shoulder and kiss the top of her head.
“You don't need to thank me Ochako, everything I did, I did for you because it is the right thing to do. Out of everyone that I have saved during my hero career, you were the first one in real danger when no one else was going to help. Kacchan doesn't count since All Might was the one who dealt with the villain after I ran in there attempting to free him. Always remember you were the first I saved, and the first and last I will love. There will be no one else except for you my sweet mochi.” I respond pinching her chubby cheeks slightly which causes her to pout adorably in response.
“What time is it Izuku?” She asks as I pull my other arm around her and look at the time.
“Well we need to get ready because we are going to a Luau soon. Which one did you want to do?” I ask as she breaks our little embrace and walks over to the desk where she put the brochure.
“Hmm… I don't want to go to the whole scripted one that the hotel is holding all that much. Sure it is fun but we don't get to meet anyone local who enjoys themself instead of working. Let's go to Germain’s luau instead of the King Kamehameha one that one kinda sounds lame.” She says causing me to laugh to myself a little bit.
“I'll text Maruki and let him know which one we are doing. Now How about we go see what that 360 degree shower is all about shall we?” I say causing her to blush as I pick her up bridal style and we head into our bathroom to get ready.
After getting ready and making our way down stairs we meet Ochako’s parents on the way to the bottom floor. Once down there we head to the parking lot and await the arrival of the bus taking us to the luau. As we were waiting, I told Maruki of what I had planned for this evening to which he gives me a look I have never seen before in anyone, even my father All Might had never literally glowed with excitement at what I had said. Once the initial shock wore off he slapped me on the back and said that he better have grandkids very soon. Not long after the bus arrived and we along with several other people including a rather fluffy hisapnic man wearing a hawaiian shirt got on the bus. We sat towards the middle and talked amongst the other passengers including that fellow who is very very funny. Soon the man hosting the party gets on the intercom and addresses us.
“Hel- turn that down bro. Ehem Hello everybody. Welcome to Germain’s luau my name is Rino and you can call me cousin Rino just don't ask for any money y’know what i'm sayin’.” He says in english and I translate to Ochako and her parents, I learned it from Dad-Might and David Shield. “Now do you all have any questions?”
Several other passengers started asking questions about the weather and if and or when we would get anything to eat. He responded in a way I wasn't quite expecting which caused me to laugh a little bit. Soon he takes a seat next to the driver and we exit from the resort and head towards the Luau. As we were driving through the tropical island we admired the view from the windows as Ochako and her mother gabbed on about our homelife and why we haven't bought a massive estate like most heroes own. She goes on to tell her mother that most of my money I give to charity and keep more than enough in savings incase we get sick of our apartment or if we are going to have a baby and need another room. Eri would be ecstatic if we were having a son or daughter. Though she's only 11 right now I can definitely tell that she not only will be an amazing hero but end up getting married to Kota by the way the act around each other. We arrived at a private beach with a gazebo of palm tree leaves strung with lights with tables and an open bar nearby. It took us quote ‘Hawaiian time’ to arrive at this private beach and all being said it was very nice for a small venue.
We got off the bus and made our way around the tables and chairs before getting served our dinner by a massive barbeque pit behind the bar. Along the beach there is flaming limbo, a flaming coal walk and fire spinners. For some reason they really really like fire. Ochako’s mother and father order a tropical hard drink in a coconut and I notice that Ochako turned down the chance to drink the alcoholic beverage they were serving. She's always been a lightweight when it comes to drinking and doesn't do it too often so it didn't surprise me all that much. As we make small talk the event starts and one by one people start doing the various activities they have planned here. Some people trying the limbo, others watching the fire twirlers and fire breathers while others took turns walking across the coals. Ochako’s parents did every single activity there was at this event. When Ochako leaves to use the bathroom I walk over to the DJ and hand him 20$ saying that I need to make an announcement and to let me use the mic. He agrees and says that he doesn't need the twenty so I put it back in my pocket and simply thank him as well as hand him an autograph for his son. After Ochako comes back from the bathroom Germain in the booth gather’s everyone’s attention.
“I hope you guys have been having a good time but this Malou here has an announcement to make. Take it away Deku.” He says handing me the mic and causing several people to gasp and take out their phones to record and take pictures of me.
“Thanks Germain, Now the first person I saved before becoming a hero is here tonight enjoying this Luau. Will the number 5 hero Uravity come up here please? I have a very important question to ask you.” I say and I can visibly see Ochako’s eyes widen to the size of grapefruits after registering what I had said. “Everyone here knows we have always been a couple from Day 1 of our hero career. They know that we've dated for a long time and I think it's finally time to tie the knot.” I say before getting down on one knee and pulling out a gold ring with a paragon pink diamond as the centerpiece. “My hero, My best friend and My love Ochako Uravity Uraraka, Will you make me the happiest hero alive and marry me?” I ask trying to keep my composure and not stutter.
“Y-YES IZUKU!!!! I WILL MARRY YOU!!!” She shouts before tackling me into the sand and peppering my face in kisses repeatedly. Everyone in the audience claps seeing this and cheers as we kiss each other for the first time as an engaged couple. I slip the ring on her finger before She herself goes over and grabs the mic from the sand.
“Izuku there's also an important thing I need to tell you. My number one hero and soon to be husband… I'm pregnant.” She says then I immediately pass out.

Ochako was sure she looked more than a little silly, standing awkwardly without a twitch as she just...stared at Izuku, stared at him and his polished dress shoes, surprisingly handsome dark green suit (complete with actually well made tie-miracles never cease), and freshly brushed hair.
She fidgeted with the present she held behind her back, feeling like she was taking too much a liberty with how much she was, well, checking him out.
To be fair, he wasn’t doing much better, getting his own eyeful of her in her own fancy outfit. She actually borrowed the dress from her mother, Momo did her hair and let her take a pair of modest high-heels, Mina and Toru helped with the make up, and Jirou did her nails. Much as she said that she loved what her friends did for her, and she meant it, she couldn’t help but feel like a patchwork doll, standing next to him looking so put together.
...or at least, that’s how he seemed, until something occurred to her. “Hey, when did you learn how to tie a tie?”
He rubbed the back of his head, “heh, I didn’t actually, Todoroki-kun helped with it actually.” He pulled at his shirt cuff, “this suit is actually one of my dad’s hand-me-downs, and Iida nearly brushed the hair off my head to wrangle it to this-” Almost on cue, the brushed, straight hair bounced back into it’s usual fluffy, bush like shape from Izuku’s fidgeting, “...so much for that.”
Ochako couldn’t keep it in, she burst out laughing, cackling loudly as she held her stomach, accidentally activating her quirk and floating in the air, still doubled over laughing as Izuku grabbed her hands to keep her from flying off.
He was laughing too, either at himself or the both of them she wasn’t sure, all she knew was that the sound of him chuckling and snorting was making her heart pound very pleasantly.
They should probably get going to the Valentines day party the school had organized, but she was happy where she was, and she wanted to give him this gift where no one could make a big deal of it.
This moment was just for them, just the two of them, she wanted to make it last just a little bit longer.
“Sorry!” She said eventually, laughter petering out and smiling down at him with both of her hands in his, “I bet I look like a mess huh?”
“No,” he mumbles calmly, smiling up at her with so much warmth it seemed to shine off of him, “no, you look beautiful, Uraraka-san.”
She grinned down at him, feeling her heart soar at the look he was giving her, she couldn’t wait to see his face when she gave him her-wait, where was the-
“THE PRESENT!” She yelled in a sudden panic, surprising Izuku when she looked over her shoulder to see the gift she had saved up for floating up in the sky above her head, shaking herself from his grip to launch herself up to catch up to it.
With a whoop of victory she managed to grab it...only for that victory to wilt when she noticed how high up she was in the sky. In a dress. With high-heels.
Oh dear.
“Deku!” She yelled down, catching his attention and breaking him from the odd look of awe on his face, “c-can you catch me?”
Deku gaped for a moment before he nodded, yelling back, “of course! Count on me Uraraka-san!”
She smiled, took a breath, and put her fingers together, releasing her quirk’s hold on her and feeling herself enter free fall. She didn’t worry though, closing her eyes and utterly at ease, and a few seconds later, she heard the tell-tale sound of rushing lightning that signaled Deku’s quirk activating.
Soon after that, she felt a rush of air and hands holding her up, one palm between her shoulder and the other in the crook of her knees. Not long after that, they were back on the ground...where she noticed that Izuku had caught her in a bridal carry.
She could feel her blood quickly rush to her glowing face, Izuku’s face not too far behind and she knew if she didn’t get it over with quickly they would both be too flustered to even speak to each other for the rest of the evening, she needed to act fast.
Jumping out of his grip, she turned around presented him with her gift, a simple, small red box with a blue ribbon, “here! I got you something for Valentines day! It isn’t chocolate but I think you might like it anyway!”
Taking the box with a shaky grip and smile, Izuku nodded, “T-thank you, Uraraka-san.” He deftly but gently removed the ribbon and started lifting the lid off the box, “you r-really didn’t...need to...”
His thanks drifted off on the breeze as he reached in the box to bring her gift out into the light. It took her a long while to make, not to mention saving up on supplies and asking Mei for advice, but the look on his face made it worth it.
He held the small doll charm in his hand with a awed expression, the doll was modeled after his hero costume, and not his current one either, but his original one, from his first week and first year at school.
Those big bunny ears, that mask made to imitate a wide grin, those goofy red boots.
“Brings back memories, doesn’t it?”
He looked up, a feather soft smile on his face, “yeah, the first time we fought together, as a team...you were the reason we won that day.”
Ochako’s face fell for a moment before she sighed fondly, “maybe, but more than that we won because we worked together, because the two of us believed in each other.” She reached into a pocket, that she had Momo knit into the dress because apparently it was considering un-fancy for a dress to have pockets by default, and pulled out a familiar looking All Might key charm, memories of laughter and snow popping up with it, “this is me paying you back for this, this little guy helped me focus when I really needed it, helped me push past some difficult barriers these past couple years.”
Ochako’s heart was beating frantically, a train rushing down a track at break neck speed, and it was only getting faster as Izuku’s expression grew softer and softer as she spoke, but she was almost done, just a bit more.
“I made you this guy so you never forget how far you’ve come...” She took another breath, bracing herself, “and...that you never forget that I always believed in you, even when you started out.” She grinned, using her momentum to get everything off her chest before it became too heavy to move, “you saved me the first day we met, and then I saved you, I never doubted you.”
“Uraraka-san...” He mumbled, “I-...thank you, thank you so much.” He looked down at the doll, laughing and chuckling before he looked back up at her, “I don’t know what to say.”
“How about...” Ochako started, feeling her blush burn her cheeks more brightly, “h-how about...you say...” She gulped and looked away, twiddling her thumbs, suddenly feeling bashful, “you say that...that you’ll be my...valentine?” She took a sharp breath for one last burst of courage, and took a leap, “andmaybegoonadatewithme!?”
She was breathing heavily, eyes closed shut, not knowing how he would react. Years of pushing her feelings back, she decided to take this one chance, take the risk, and hope for the best.
After a second of silence that lasted an eternity or ten, she felt Izuku’s hands on her shoulders, “Uraraka-san...” He started slowly, waiting for her to open her eyes and look at him to see him lock his gaze with her and his cheeks burn as brightly as hers, “would...would you be my valentine?”
Ochako could feel her chest burst, a huge smile spreading her cheeks apart as she felt her moment of courage rewarded, allowing herself to indulge in this feeling by wrapping him up in a tight hug, which he returned after a moment of shock.
But he wasn’t done, “and...maybe tomorrow after school...” He gulped himself, gathering his own reserve of bravery, “wouldyouliketogotoseeamovie!?”
Blinking up at him, feeling her face grow impossibly hotter, she felt another laugh bubble up her throat, bursting out in a flood of giggles before she cut it off short with a quick, clumsy peck of her lips on his, “I would very much like that.”
