I know most of the DBD fandom probably thinks at paineland at the trope of "x fell first, xx fell harder" is Edwin falling first and Charles now falling harder; because Edwin was obviously shown first to express his feelings.

But consider this-

Charles falling in love with Edwin slowly a little more every day, falling a bit deeper for him every day they spent side by side.

And at some point later- Edwin is crushing hard. Realizing "oh shit, I love him-" and falling hard in a chaotic storm of feeling he doesn't know how to deal with, in a complete mess.

Idk, both options are great interpretations of their dynamic but I personally prefer the second version more.

I feel like the majority of my experience playing Baldur’s Gate 3, has been- me blasting through the story (not gonna lie, mostly to progress my romance with Astarion) and having a lot of fun! And then getting stuck on a fight that I’m slightly under levelled for because I didn’t explore enough, for a few days and getting really angry that I’m stuck.

And then eventually leveling up once or twice, sailing through the fight, lather rinse repeat

au where Viserys never shows up to defend Nyra's claim in that episode and Luke loses his place as the future Lord of the Tides, Aemond is happy because he feels that finally he and his bastard nephew are on the same page (two second sons with no titles or anything to their name) only for Nyra decide to engage Luke and Jace to make her sweet boy prince consort.
