I most definitely will take writing requests! Though, I won't write anything that makes me uncomfortable. Villains, though, I can do.

The Outlier

Max had known since he was a kid that he was special; stranger than other kids. For as long as he could remember, he was different; the outlier.

The first give away was the way his parents looked at him. Side eyes when they thought he wasn't looking. Whispers when they thought he couldn't hear. Smiles that didn't seem genuine, and only got faker as he got older.

The second tell was the looks he got from other kids. Girls weren't supposed to like the colour blue. Girls weren't supposed to like action figures and bugs. Good thing he's not a girl, then.

The third, and biggest thing, was that he could hear voices. They didn't usually talk to him directly, and were mostly whispers in the wind. When he told his parents, they told him it was cute to have imaginary friends. His parents were his parents, so they must've been right when they said he'd grown out of them.

But the voices didn't go away. They only got louder.

By the time he was ten years old, he could match the voices in his head to those of his classmates. The one always thinking about how cute Joshua is was Cindy's voice. The one constantly thinking about lunch and recess was Ethan.

All of the voices were so mundane and never really strayed from their normal thoughts. The bigger voices, though, the voices of adults, were interesting to listen to.

His teacher, Mrs. Kingston, only ever had three topics on her mind: Anticipation to get away from her students, her next lesson, or how cute Mr. Spring - who is not her husband - was.

Shame. Max liked this teacher. Oh, well.

As Max got older, the voices got louder, but he could still ignore them as though they were white noise. He'd even managed to figure out how to focus on one voice, making it louder while the rest faded out.

That's how he found out, in middle school, that the eighth grade chemistry teacher, Ms. Adam, was planning to blow the joint. Literally.

Her class had been working with some chemicals that, while mixed in small, were harmless, but were deadly in large amounts.

She, apparently, was on a downward spiral and no one knew anything. Well, almost no one. Max had known Ms. Adam was going through some stuff, but he'd always filtered her out. Not his circus, not his monkey.

Regardless, he needed to tell someone. If he didn't, then the whole school would be blown up by the end of tomorrow! As much as he hated school, he had grown attached to some of the people here. Besides, he quite liked living in spite of everyone he didn't think he deserved to. It was funny to watch them turn red.

Maybe that should've been the first red flag.

The second the bell rang, he was in the halls and quickly moving to the principal's office. He'd know what to do! He's an adult! He's the adult in charge of the rest of the adults, so they had to listen to him!

But adults don't believe children. Children don't know any better. Children don't know anything.

But Max did. Max knee everyone. Max knew people and their thoughts better than anyone else. And Max knew, for a fact, that the adults had failed him.

He managed to get thirty-two students out and to the far side of the field before the building went up in flames.

It was that event that ultimately brought him to where he now was.

He'd always been a smart kid, using other people's inner dialogues on top of his own knowledge to get things done. In a year, he amassed a following of other kids. Kids that had been failed by adults. Kids that shouldn't have had to grow up before their time. Kids who had only ever wanted to be kids.

Together, they grew. Together, they quietly took over the crime ring in the city. Together, the planned for expansion into the world. Now, together, they would take over the city. Then, together, they would work to take over the country.

If the adults were going to fail the children, then there was no need for them. The system was broken by adults who intended for their children to fix it, so the children were going to fix it. Adults had no place in the new system.

Max became The Outlier. The children he'd taken on as his own, despite being younger than a lot of them, became The Mavericks. Adults all over had become The Unwanted.

The Outlier would not allow The Mavericks to kill. He would rather have the blood haunting his nightmares for all eternity than to let even a drop stain the hands of a child. A group of older kids, however, disagreed. They named themselves Bohemians and they became his generals. They became the kill order. And The Mavericks never knew execution.

There were some who opposed the ordered death of The Unwanted, but they were few and far between. If they spoke too loudly, they became a part of the Court. They spoke in favor of adults, acting as their jury when brought before The Outlier and Bohemians. They never won a case.

Max had made it known, when he had taken over the city, that it was adults that had failed him - them - so it was adults that would pay.

Children were innocent, unable to do any wrong. They were to be protected from the people that would only continue to fail them.

her father (a certain joshua williams of kingston, jamaica) had met her mother (olivia tbd, helltown resident and supposed fortune teller) and the rest had been history — though love rarely touched anyone in such a pure stroke of luck, joshua and olivia had bargained to start a life together. he had wished to return to his family, but she had presented an ultimatum to remain at helltown for some reason or another, her excuse flimsy at best but who was joshua to deny the yearn of his greatest love? moving their belongings into the small place they could afford during the upheaval of a sudden, wanted pregnancy. their son and kitty’s beloved big brother, devin, was born… but by his astrology chart his mother had become obsessed with the idea that he was doomed for an unruly fate. still, not even the shadow that loomed above their heads like an emerging thunderstorm could’ve prevented their second child, kitty herself, her own chart coloured with strong faith and sparks of anarchy. though they lived from paycheck to paycheck with the constant bouts of mental health, they had been happy for a time, though kitty had only ever been too young to really remember those years. olivia, if you were to ask her parents and friends, had always held a penchant for waiting for the future rather than enjoying the present; alongside such a view on the world, she had also been a sloppy driver as soon as she had received her licence — as such, joshua had always warned her to be careful, to take a second before making a brash decision. it was also one of the reasons why it was normally her dad who drove the family anywhere. alas, some things are meant to be, with their dad late to pick them up from a birthday party a few blocks over, their mom had taken over, on her way there by the happenstance of one mistake after another, olivia’s car had crashed horrendously into a large truck, killing her on impact. the loss of olivia had been far too grand for joshua to understand, and by the yearning of his broken heart he had aimed to take his children back to jamaica in order to escape the unlucky stance of helltown… and they had, for a while, with the sun and sea a tonic to the incoming bubble of depression that lingered after the death of olivia. devin had been four years old, kitty just two, for it was olivia’s parents who asked joshua to return to the town with the children in tow, if only to silence their own heartbreak. having always been a kind, sympathetic man, joshua gave in after little restraint, but to return to the place where he had been the most happy was almost too much, and by lack of effort and motivation, joshua lost his job and relied on the state and olivia’s family for hand-outs. slowly the williams had repaired themselves from the inside out, devin had grown up to become an astute academic with a part-time job at the bowling alley, with the aim to leave town in order to attend college out of state. kitty had remained somewhat fractured, having inherited her mother’s displaced melancholy and suspicion that refused to leave them in peace — joshua called it the helltown curse, much to the rolling of the eyes from his children. but they had seemed to fix the potholes that had presented themselves, as kitty began to work in all corners of the town to help with the bills, her loyalty to her father the only important thing that mattered — for she was happy to play the second fiddle to her older brother. devin had been working at the bowling alley when he had gone missing, little was formally shared of his disappearance other than it was assumed that there had been no foul play. kitty, naturally suspicious, doubted the word from the officials, and from that very day has been searching for evidence of what had happened — dealing with the fallout by putting her concentration on finding out every inch of the story that has been kept from their door. her father? the loss of his son had proven too much, and after a nasty accident he was left paralyzed from the waist down, and as such had grown increasingly dependent on his only child.

Slim J and JeeVeS charged at Bishop but he back body dropped them both over the top rope and to the floor. Sonny Kiss ran at Joshua, but Sonny was soon lifted up for a Bishop Bomb and sent crashing into Slim J and JeeVeS on the outside. Trench applied the inverted full nelson on Big Dan Champion, but Champion broke the hold by driving Trench into the corner with an avalanche splash. Big Dan whipped Trench to the center of the ring where Hyan hit him with the Beauty Sleep and got the pinfall. Winners: Big Dan Champion/Joshua Bishop/Hyan/Kylie Paige

Starboy Charlie and Marcus Mathers vs. The Southern 6 (Kerry Morton and Silas Mason) - Silas Mason went for the Thrillride on Starboy Charlie, but Charlie countered with a crucifix. Mason kicked out but ate a superkick from Marcus Mathers which sent Silas tumbling to the floor where Mathers took him out with a dive. Kerry Morton tried to throw a fireball at Starboy Charlie, but Charlie saw it coming and stomped on Kerry's foot. The delay caused the fireball to erupt in Morton's own hand. Starboy Charlie hit the Gotch piledriver on Kerry Morton and covered him for a three count. Winners: Starboy Charlie and Marcus Mathers

Giant Baba Yaga and Fuego Del Sol vs. Black Generation International (Kaito Ishida and Flamita) - Fuego Del Sol tried for the tornado DDT on Flamita, but Flamita pushed Fuego off and right into a single arm tiger suplex from Kaito Ishida. Giant Baba Yaga went to break up the hold but Titus Alexander had made his way to ringside and he hooked Baba around the ankle. This distracted Baba long enough to allow Flamita to hold her at bay as Ishida got the pinfall. Winners: Black Generation International

The 37KAMIINA (Yuki Ueno/MAO/Toy Kojima) vs. folkstyle (Shaw Mason/Tim Bosby/Nic Nemeth) - Tim Bosby went for the rip cord lariat on Yuki Ueno, but Yuki Ueno countered with the WR. Nic Nemeth broke up the pin and soon after tried for the Fameasser on MAO. MAO avoided the move and when Nemeth landed in a seated position on the mat he was met by a Meteora from Toy Kojima. MAO springboarded off the top rope with a Phoenix Splash and the 2023 Trios Kingdom winners were again victorious. Winners: The 37KAMIINA

SHIMMER Tag Team Championship Tournament - Finals Stephanie Vaquer and La Catalina vs. Queen Aminata and Raychell Rose - Stephanie Vaquer tried for the package piledriver on Raychell Rose but Queen Aminata made the save with a jumping hip attack which propelled Rose forward into a rolling cradle on Vaquer who could not kick out in time. Winners and NEW SHIMMER Tag Team Champions: Queen Aminata and Raychell Rose

Coal Miner's Glove Match Eddie Kingston vs. Titus Alexander - Eddie Kingston climbed to the top rope and retrieved the coal miner's glove off a pole. On his descent Titus Alexander connected with a dropkick to Kingston's back which sent him crashing out of the ring to the apron before falling to the floor. Black Generation International made their way to ringside but referee Scarlette Donovan intercepted them and threatened to stop the match. What Scarlette didn't see was on the other side of the ring where someone hopped the railing.

- Chris Hero, Kingston's long time rival, attacked Eddie on the outside. Hero connected with a big boot and removed the coal miner's glove from Eddie's hand. Hero put on the glove and went for a rolling elbow but Kingston ducked and hit an exploder suplex to Chris Hero on the floor. A dazed Kingston pulled himself into the ring where Titus quickly seized the advantage and hit the Chaos Theory on Kingston, but King kicked out at two. Chris Hero tossed the coal miner's glove to Titus Alexander who put it on. Titus went for the spinning backfist on Kingston with the glove, but Eddie ducked and countered with a backdrop driver. Kingston grabbed the coal miner's glove and put it on before drilling Titus with a Sliding D using the glove and Eddie made the cover. Winner: Eddie Kingston

I Only Pulled Off for a View and Found Myself Taking in Views of Far Off Mountains by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the west while taking in views across a mountain desert landscape present at a roadside pullout along California State Route 127. I liked the varied plant-life across this Mojave Desert setting led up to the ridges and peaks off in the distance. I angled my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward to bring the horizon higher into the image and perhaps bring out more of a sense of grandeur with those mountain peaks. Using the PeakVisor app on my iPhone, I was able to identity the snowcapped mountains off in the distance as Charleston Peak in Nevada on the other side of the state border.

Perry Movie Reviews: J4stringthang: OK Timberlake fans and haters alike, Calm Down! Largely regarded as “you know, that movie with Timberlake in it.” Alpha Dog was enjoyable. And Timberlake did a great job. He is definitely all grown up now. A strong supporting cast of Sharon Stone and Bruce Willis sure didn’t hurt. I loved how the cast worked so good together. They were very believable. The movie did a great job of showing us just how crazy and out of control a simple misunderstanding can get. Hopeful Hollywood does force Ben Foster down our throat! Small doses please! NOTE: Alpha Dog has a lot of language in it. DoryDarko: Going into this film, I had no idea what it was about, only that it was based on a true story. And the more I think about this fact, the truth behind it all, the more it saddens me. The story that unfolded before my eyes...

After nearly high fiving a few… lucky fans, and nearly taking their arms with him, Bishop turns his attention to the ring. Coming out in just a T-shirt and shorts, we can see the edges of the tape wrapped around his arm poking out from under the fabric. Who knows what lasting damage Swerve could've caused….

“Joshua Bishop, it's been a long time, hasn't it?” Mox chuckles, eyeing him up and down, “Two years in fact. Two years since you've done what very few men have been able to do in the past five years of my career, and that's leave me lying in a pool of my own blood.” Mox stops, licking his lips, “but that's why I like you, Josh. You hit like a damn mack truck and you don't hesitate, so I want to help you.” Bishop raises an eyebrow, but let's Moxley continue.

“When Bryan Danielson and I started the Blackpool Combat Club, we did so to morph the students who could survive the training into real champions - into legends. You hit like a damn mac truck, and you don't hesitate. You are a born and bred machine, but what you're missing is that killer instinct - the focus. Because you've got two anchors tied to your ankles, pulling you back down,” Mox continues, “I get it, Wes and Blade are your friends, you're buddies. But the only thing they've ever done is get in your way. What you need is the guiding hand of the Blackpool Combat Club. It's Bryan Danielson in your ear every day, teaching you the ins and outs of this ring. Pushing your mind past its own limitations. It's Claudio Castagnoli hitting you as hard as you've ever been hit, and demanding you get the hell back up and fight! It's me and you, spilling our blood together from America to Japan, and every place in between. It's about world domination, boy - but I don't expect an answer tonight. I'm sure you don't want to disappoint your friends, all your precious little fans, on live TV like this.”

Mox turns to face Bishop, “but know this. If you say no, it's over. There will never be another chance to join the Blackpool Combat Club.”

Bishop raises his eyebrows, almost like he’s trying to stifle laughter, before he raises the mic up and looks Mox in his eyes. 

“You think I need you? You think I need you & your little crew to be relevant? Mox, you claim you’ve watched me, you claim you’ve had your eye on me… Apparently, you need a little refresher. I’m the Intense Icon. My first night here in MPW, I kicked the shit out of your former best friend, the Mad King, Eddie Kingston. On my second night here, I ripped the MPW Atlas Championship from Syn’s cold dead hands. I’ve beaten every single top guy MPW has ever put in front of me. I’m the only person on this roster that Abigail, the woman who calls herself the Devil, is afraid of. I ended The Dark Triad holding this company hostage. I am the ONLY two time MPW World Champion this company has ever produced. I’ve won the Chaos Cup, the most grueling tournament in Professional Wrestling. I’ve beaten a laundry list of wrestlers in the last three years that’s only on par with yours… Including you. I am the single most dominant wrestler in MPW history, so Mox, buddy. All due respect my man… You can take your little offer, and you can shove it up your ass.” 

Shaking his head, Moxley licks his lips, ““You just made a career ending mistake.”

“You know what happens now, Josh? I'm gonna put every ounce... every drop of sweat and effort and will I have into winning the MPW World Championship. And at the end of the night, you will look up into the lights with blood pouring down your head and pouring out of every inch of your skin. Covered in glass. Covered in barbed wire. Your neck broken. Your back broken. Your head broken, and that World Championship in MY hands. And you better believe that I'm going to beat you within an inch of your life to do it, because I am the BADDEST SON OF A BITCH IN THIS GAME! -”

As Moxley gets in Bishop's face, red faced and pissed off, Bishop drops the microphone, and the MPW World Championship belt, and starts trading right hands with Jon Moxley! Champion and challenger have broken out in a full out brawl! Here we go, we don’t have to wait until Darkness Falls, Moxley and Bishop are fighting here tonight!

From the back comes an outpouring of the rest of our referee crew, several members of MPW security, and after Josh Bishop and Jon Moxley knock them aside, and from there, to break up this fight, Paul Heyman calls out the big guns. Samoa Joe, locker room leader, flanked by many of the roster members here in MPW, many of them not even dressed to compete tonight, hit the ring, and have to force the two men apart! Half the roster grabs Bishop, the other half grabbing Mox, the two men still trying desperately to get at each other! 

A contingent of Brody King, Sam Halloway, Sardonyx, and Daniel Garcia manage to drag Mox through the ropes and get him out of the way, as Syn and backstage agent Jimmy Jacobs work hard to block any way Mox had of getting back into the ring. Josh still tries to fight out, but the group of Matsumoto, VIOLET, Joe himself, and Mance Warner have Bishop pinned in the corner. Joe shouts over and over “Josh, relax! Josh, relax!” Trying to get the MPW World Champion to calm down, as Pandemonium stands outside the ring, her face practically in her hands from the stress of the situation. She runs her hands through her hair, and even joins in, trying to help Joe by throwing in a “Josh, stop!” Loud enough so that he could hear her in the ring.

A locker room clearing brawl to start the show here tonight, perhaps of a taste of what was to come at Darkness Falls! The MPW Locker Room can’t stop these two from ripping each other apart at Darkness Falls, inside the Cage of Death!
