I forgot the name of Maimonides-
So I searched up "Jewish philosopher with opinions" and he was the first result.

Hi. I don’t know if this post is very… appropriate? If not, please let me know, I’ll delete it.
I’m not Jewish. But I’m trying my best to be the best person I can be, and that means trying to find the antisemitist ideals in my brain that were planted there by society, and rectifying that. Because I’m not on the other side of the oppression, I don’t really know what the warning signs are.
I really wish I could just look inward and find it, but I simply don’t know what I’m looking for. Even just some basic ideas on antisemitism looks like would be really helpful - I don’t need you to write a whole paragraph, even just linking some good articles would be wonderful. It’s okay if you don’t have the energy to give me a lot.
I…hope I’m doing this right. Thank you to everyone who will answer, and have a wonderful day.

Been learning more about my Jewish ancestry and this quote from really touched me. It is from Living Judaism: The Complete Guide to Jewish Belief, Tradition, and Practice by Rabbi Wayne Dosick which was recommend to me by @jewishgay4il. So far only up to page twenty-two and learning more.
"And the human soul is a tiny piece of God, a tiny fragment of God’s light, a spark of the Divine that burst forth from the heavenly vessels and showered the universe."
This is something I have felt and feel. That humans and the souls of humans are all God. That we are all God and have God inside us.

Bruce's response to Jason's death makes a lot more sense if the Waynes are Jewish.
In Jewish burial practices, the body is washed and dressed in a simple burial shroud. However, if you die of an injury that leaves blood on you or your clothes, neither of those things take place. Any part of a person, including their blood, is considered to be holy and deserving of a proper burial (that's the reason we don't do embalming or cremation, traditionally).
Jason was murdered, bloody and brutal. Jason absolutely had blood on himself and his clothes. So, under Jewish tradition, Jason Todd would have been buried in his Robin uniform. But the thing is, Robin didn't die. Jason did, and Jason isn't Jewish.
So you have this dilemma. Jason Todd can't be buried in Robin's uniform. He's a Wayne, and not a Jewish one. He has to be cleaned up and put neatly in a suit so no one will see the injuries and question whatever cover story they created. Bruce, as a Jew, can't throw away or clean Jason's uniform, but he also can't bury it with Jason's body with the respect his blood deserves. Fuck, he probably doesn't even know how Jason would want to be buried. Bruce prepares for a lot of things, but his child's death always felt like too much. Would he prefer cremation? A more Christian funeral? Something else?
Like yeah, he kept the uniform and didn't clean it. Under Jewish law it should have been buried with Jason, but Robin didn’t die, and Jason can’t be buried in Robin’s uniform. Blood is considered as holy as the person and deserving of equal respect, so I guess it should be given a place of honor? Like he’s still stupid, but he’s trying

Every so often I am reminded that a lot of Jewish beliefs are kind of like a bunch of rabbis shitposting and learning about Jewish reincarnation beliefs is one of those times

I’m probably going to get harassed for this post but. As a Jew who fully and entirely supports Palestinian liberation and is horrified by the carnage in Gaza and the crimes Israel has been committing for decades, please don’t use this terrifying situation as an excuse to share antisemetism. I have seen otherwise well meaning and completely helpful posts peppered with additions and wording such as “lying is in their(Israelis)blood” “Israel’s dominion/control over the West” “All Jews need to be held accountable” calling any Jew they don’t like a Zionist, and other wording that bears similarities to Nazi dogwhistles shared around innocuously by people who I KNOW only want to help. Even by people sharing posts like “Zionism≠Judiasm” and “Israel does not speak for the Jews”, which is true!! They don’t!! But it doesn’t stop a lot of antisemites from sharing posts that are basically just nazi dogma, but replacing “Jews” with “Israelis”. The worst part is, it doesn’t help Palestinians at all. I understand that right now is terribly scary time, and that you’d want to get as much information as you can, help any way you’re able, and that we’re all being bombarded with posts from all kinds of sources, and that in the chaos, we can forget to check if what we’re sharing really has good intentions or not. Because that’s what Nazis do, they feed off of your confusion in an attempt to get you to not look at the fine print and join their cause. The Nazis don’t care about Palestine, they only care about using this horrible tragedy to justify their hatred of Jews. And Jews aren’t Israel!! Israel, in fact, isn’t even on the side of most Jews (look up their rejection of Mizrahi/Sephardi/non Ashkenazi Jews). So yeah idk, random shittily written tangent. Fuck Nazis, free Palestine.

I recently learnt that the 39 things not permitted on Shabbat are exactly the tasks the Israelites performed as they were building the tabernacle at the base of Mount Sinai. Which, to me? Hilarious.
I’m getting the visual of the Israelites being really hype enthusiastic overachievers who are chewing on the time accurate equivalent of coffee beans to get their project in. They're getting the curtains ready, their gold, their dolphin skins (or ancient middle eastern marine mammal equivalent of )- they're going haywire with the preparations-
and G-D putting his hands up.
“Timeout! Timeout!”
everyone freezes-
"Hey- I really appreciate it. I do. Super grateful for the hard work. But I think I’m going to mandate a rest day for you from all this stuff. You know how you haven't been eating or sleeping? Okay here's 25 hours where that's all you can do. Don't even think about picking up that hammer, Mendel!"
One brave Israelite raises his hand from the crowd. "Can we still.. argue?"
"Yes."
then a moment of consideration.
"But only if snacks are provided."
(inspired by a conversation with @daughterofstories )

Goyim don’t fucking call us jap’s? Genuinely it’s not your word to use. Congratulations you just degraded Jewish women for existing. Do you like even see how bad it looks? Calling young Jewish girls money hungry and vapid? Do you not see the century’s old antisemitic tropes?
When mysogonism and antisemitism intersect you get a spectrum with has “calling us japs” at one end and “the way y’all reacted to us being kinapped raped sex trafficked tortured and murdered”(aka not caring) on the other end.
And they are very connected. It’s very clear how y’all feel about us.
