for some reason i've decided to take double life soulbound duos and assign them to either lizzie or joel's role in "reel love" from empires the musical, if they were to act out a similar scenario. for funsies.

ranchers:

this one's kinda obvious, tango as joel and jimmy as lizzie, ("in japan they call it koi" "wait, isn't- isn't that a fish??") though i can be swayed in the other direction since i think ?? jimmy does have more relationship experience.

homewreckers:

impulse as joel and bdubs as lizzie mostly because bewildered bdubs is always funny. and it just fits to me.

boat boys:

...okay so. yes joel as joel would make the most sense and i can see etho acting oblivious to toy with him. however. joel being obliviously perplexed is also a hilarious image so again i can see this going both ways.

box boys:

i know ren's the more dramatic one but i can't really see bigb being super oblivious? he's more clumsy than anything. however ren is a dog and i can see all the hints flying over his head lmao ("'stolen your heart'?! bigb, dude, are you okay?? did the witch do this to you???" "ren no please it's- it's a metaphor")

desert duo:

again, both ways work, but i tend to sway towards scar being joel, because out of the two of them i think he's the one more in touch with emotions. in general. besides, he's more theatrical, and grian would just be confused and suspect nothing ("scar why are you singing again, if you're doing arson i want no part in it" "relax, g, it's all part of the show!" "you're definitely burning something down")

divorcees 1:

martyn is definitely doing the seducing here, and so cleo is definitely lizzie, except she's less oblivious and more intentionally playing dumb to get under martyn's skin ("you could say it's a date" "*sarcasm 100* that's a boat." "...i hate you")

divorcees 2:

the closest thing scott and pearl are getting to a reel love moment is drowning each other in the ravine

Spy is back on the hanger because I had to essentially emergency wash him because of a hotel bed bug incident. Well him being so wet just increased his corpse like physics and he was doing all sorts of poses

Since I’ve seen some of the absolutely coldest takes, I feel like it needs to be said:

Headcanon time. So when Sonic and Tails were young and still homeless they’d have to camp out all the time. Sonic and Tails would sleep curled up together cause Tails is a walking little heating pad so he’s good to have close on cold nights (plus I also headcanon that younger Sonic was touch starved from being alone for so long and this is how he slowly unknowingly fixed it, Tails was too but head-pats and just attention from Sonic quickly fixed his).

They always try and find a cave, a sturdy tree, or rock to sleep against. Specifically so Sonic can put Tails closer to the solid wall and have his back toward the open so if they get attacked in their sleep he would get hit first, plus it’s quills first if something does try and attack them. (sometimes they’ll set up a watch schedule if they’re in a really dangerous area though).

Flash forward to when they first meet Knuckles and are in the “aren’t quite enemies but aren’t friends either” part of their relationship, and he’s traveling with them cause Eggman up to some nonsense with the master emerald again.

So they’re camping out and Knuckles takes his watch shift for the night. He notices that first night that Sonic sleeps curled around Tails with his back towards Knuckles. Knuckles sees this and pretty much just thinks “Wow, Sonic is so dumb to sleep with his back towards a potential enemy he’s so stupidly overly trusting.” (Knuckles would never attack anyone in their sleep cause of his honor but he still has the thought of how vulnerable that makes Sonic to attack and how dumb he thinks he is for it).

They keep traveling for a bit together and every night Knuckles just has that same thought in passing while taking his watch shift. Until one night they’re settling down like normal after a fight and Knuckles earlier that day had either saved or taken a hit for Tails (kids grown on him so sue him). That’s when he notices something different in their sleeping arrangements, Sonic is still curled up with Tails but Tails’ back is now facing Knuckles not Sonic’s. And that’s when it finally hits him, Sonic didn’t trust Knuckles with Tails this whole time and slept with his back towards him so if he did attack them in their sleep he’d hit Sonic first.

Knuckles then realizing how dumb he was not to notice it that Sonic was protecting his little brother this whole time from the potential threat that was Knuckles. Then immediately being touched and a little happy ( a lot happy cause he’s lying to himself about how happy this makes him) that Sonic trusts him enough now with Tails to be the solid wall behind his back to keep him safe when he’s sleeping. 

Just a cute little headcanon I thought of cause Sonic may be Tails first big brother but Knuckles became one too.

Everyone knows that maIes on average are dangerous predators and women are their prey so anybody telling you to trust them or that "it's not all men" wants you harmed by them. They want you dead, they want you raped, they want you sacrified to the beast to save their skin or their loved ones skin. Only to blame you for it after.

Look at all the precautions the average woman takes in every aspect of their lives to navigate maIe violence. I've seen women go as far as ordering food under a maIe name because the delivery drivers would prey on them otherwise. Even when a woman IS interested in a maIe she'd still take precautions dating him because -she knows- moid on average are dangerous. This is also why women settle in crappy relationships because they KNOW their chances of encountering worse is higher than their chances of encountering better so they stay because it's personally & socially better than being alone for them. "He's emotionally distant but at least he isnt cheating on me", "he's cheating on me but at least he's not raping me", "he keeps bothering me for sex every night but at least he hasn't killed me". Women know. This is why I no longer get into back and forth about moids with women either I aint wasting my fucking time arguing shit we both know is true. I wont be your goddamn sacrificial lamb.

Moids themselves know how dangerous moids are as they "shield" their female relatives/partners from other moids. Many moids are terrified of prisons or gay moids because they fear facing what they make women face.

People wouldn't typically advise women & girls that are close to them to trust maIes, heck teenage girls are often scared off moidlets with parents saying that "boys bring trouble"/"theres only one thing boys want" typa shit. Many parents worry about their daughters because they know the evil that moids are deep down and can only hope it doesn't affect their daughters badly.

So I dont fucking care what's said online, most of these women pandering to moids or moids pulling the "it's not all men!1! We get hurt tuh!1!" bullshit would not individually trust moids. Ladies dont ever feel bad for protecting yourself. Keep generalising & judging ALL xys. You aren't crazy for seeing their evil & having your guard up. Dont explain yourselves to moids, the world already explains. Womens lives > moid feelings. It's better to be safe than sorry.

finally added a bunch of more random switches and commentary on some software

slowly but surely approaching the finish line on this thing. I'm pretty much done with the main bulk of the ukagaka, all that remains is set up network updates (and make sure they work correctly, currently I fucked it up a Little), and polish some things up

as much as i joke about it, i do think that it is strange that ravage was simply allowed to remain on the lost light with zero restrictions or repercussions. ravage is an active decepticon who was spying on the crew for an extended period of time before forcibly being revealed. he is an active decepticon with the order to kill megatron, and he attacked megatron during the split lost light arc.

and then right when he appeared, they find a ship full of dead autobots, brainstorm is revealed to be a decepticon, and the universe almost crashes down around itself. ravage was not responsible for any of these events, but the timing of it is awful. you're telling me that the crew just passively accepted the fact that there is a "bad batch" of energon at swerves that knocks out everyone the instant they return to the lost light and ravage joins the crew? remember that the crew doesn't know the truth about brainstorm's timecase shenanigans. they believe that it's a bad engex batch at swerves that poisoned them. it would of been incredibly easy for people to point fingers at ravage.

it's just. so many events happen back to back and there is no suspicion on him? like. he Isn't Responsible. he isn't. but i feel like there should of been at least some sort of pushback from the crew. if they're upset with having megatron on their crew, then surely they'd also he upset that ravage was not only allowed to remain, but invited.

like im just! it's weird. it's weird to me.

I really am starting to notice a pattern in Helluva Boss:

1. Introduce new character that’s a threat or antagonist

2. Have them disappear for episodes and never be mentioned by the main characters or acknowledged, not affecting the main narrative at all.

3. Insert Stolitz episode or filler episode with the characters the exact same and never changing or adapting

4. Bring said antagonistic character back in the most underwhelming way possible

Repeat.
