Never thought I’d come to a point in life where I had to cut off all my guy friends for Kylian’s sake. I’ve told myself in the past that if I had to face that in a relationship then I’m walking out. Mentally I’m playing hangman with Kylian’s name.

I love Kylian, I really do, it’s also cute at times to see him get jealous but when it comes to a point when he tells me that I need to stop talking to my guy friend then I don’t vibe with that. He’s basically saying that he doesn’t trust me.

We’ve fought, he apologised, I looked past it for us to move on, but he just crossed the line.

I went out for a friend’s birthday dinner, Kylian decided to stay back and chill at home, though he promised he would pick me up after. The birthday dinner felt like a reunion as some of us were seeing each other after years, it was great catching up with everyone, especially Daniel. Him and I were really close growing up as our parents were good friends, but since I moved and was with Kylian I rarely attended gatherings.

It was getting quite late and Kylian was delayed, I didn’t bother rushing him since Daniel was accompanying me and we were just catching up on lost time. We were stood outside the restaurant, dinner had just ended, some had left and others were in their own conversations. “So how are things going? What have you been up to ?” Daniel eagerly asked. “Well, I’m in my final year of studying so it’s been a bit much but I’m coping. How are things going for you ?” I replied. “Life is great. “Do I look like I’m joking ?” He yelled annoyed. “You have honestly lost it !” I yelled as I turned my back on him and stormed towards our room. “(Y/N) I’m talking to you !” He yelled for me as he followed me to the room. “How the hell can you say we enjoyed that hug a little too much. Are you trying to call me a cheater ?” I raised my voice as I turned around to face him. “You’re just putting words into my mouth. My point is that if another person had seen you both together, they would think you’re a couple. I don’t want you seeing him again” he said.

“You know what Kylian ? I’m done” I huffed. “What do you mean done ?” He asked baffled. “I mean that I can’t do this anymore. I can’t continue being in a relationship where my own boyfriend doesn’t even trust me or allows me to talk to other guy friends of mine without assuming I’m cheating. I’m living a lie by staying in this relationship. Go find yourself a girlfriend that you can control because I’m not that girl” I said before getting a bag and packing it with my belongings.

“Babe please don’t do this. I swear I’m not trying to control you. I’ll admit that I got jealous, okay ? But please don’t go. I love you so much, what will I do without you ?” he pleaded and tried to stop me from packing but I continued.

It just bothers me that Daniel attempted to be your friend in that minute you met but instead you ignore all of that and insinuate that I cheated ? Get some help because I need a break from your shit…this has gone past jealousy” I said in anger, I didn’t have it in me to cry.

“(Y/N) please. I’ll change okay ? I’ll do better. But please don’t go. Please give me another chance” he begged. “Kylian I gave you way too many chances. I can’t believe how long I’ve dealt with this and didn’t leave sooner” I said as I zipped up my bag. “So that’s it ? You’re just going to throw away a 2 year relationship ?” He asked. “All I know right now is that we need space away from each other. I love you Kylian, I do, but I think it’s best for the both of us” I pressed my lips together as I threw my bag over my shoulder. “So we’re over ?” He asked teary eyed. “I- please don’t make this harder than it already is” my voice cracked as I looked up in hopes that my tears would disappear.

“Babe you can’t give up on us. We’re meant for each other” he said as he grabbed my hands and rubbed small circles at the back of them. “Kylian, consider this a break rather than a break up. Those were the last words I’ve said to him face-to-face. I left that night and ended up staying at my parent’s house. They were surprised to see me and were quick to ask where Kylian was, I just lied that he’s travelling for an away game. 2 weeks of staying with my parents raised suspicion and they figured out that something was wrong, my mom especially. I told my mom exactly what happened and luckily she took the hint to not talk about it.

Not a day passed that I didn’t receive a message from Kylian. Countless ‘I love you’ and ‘I miss you’ flooded my phone daily, it wasn’t easy taking this time to focus on myself when he was on my mind all day. Whilst making his message clear, he indirectly would ask for us to talk it out and as much as it hurts, I refused. No point in us getting back together if he’s going to go back to square one.

After about a week, I caved in and started replying back to his messages. Eventually easing in to phone calls and FaceTimes. It’s been 3 weeks since that day I called on a break, today I decided it’s time to meet and talk things out.

Logan Barzal was scared. The last boy who met her parents was the same boy who completely shattered her heart. When she swore off hockey players, her parents were on her side, not ever wanting to find their daughter wailing on the bathroom floor.

Nico wasn’t going to see his family for the short break. His Christmas was typically spent with the other single members of the Devils but this year he was spending it with Logan. The two had met in Logan’s coffee shop and bookstore she owned, she didn’t know he was a hockey player until later. She hated him for .5 seconds before he promised he wouldn’t break her heart.

Logan rushed around the apartment with her hair perfectly straightened with a red bow pinned in the back. A cute Christmas outfit. “Can you like calm down?” Mat groaned. Their parents were in the kitchen and their sister was watching Logan with amusement. “Nico will be here soon and I want everything perfect.”

Mike and Nadia Barzal hadn’t seen Logan like this since before her prom. Mat had been living with Logan for years and since she started seeing Nico, he noticed a happier sister. Nico Hischier of the New Jersey Devils dating the sister of Mat Barzal of the New York Islanders, who would have thought?

Nico fixed his red sweater, Logan liked when he wore red. Knocking on the door with a bag of presents in his hand, he hadn’t know what to get her parents but Logan helped pick something out. He heard his girlfriend scrambling on the other side of the door, shouting at Mat to put down the cookies. “You’re here!” Logan breathed as she opened the door. “Hi,” he kissed her head as she hugged him. “Merry Christmas,” she greeted him before dragging him into the apartment. “Come meet my parents and sister!”

“What am I? Chopped liver?” Mat questioned as he gave Nico a bro hug. “You already know Nico.” When the two weren’t on the ice, they were pretty good friends.

“Mom, Dad, this is Nico. Nico, there are my parents, Mike and Nadia. And Liana, my sister.”

“It’s so nice to meet you guys, Logan always talks about her family, thank you for letting me join you guys today,” he smiled. “Sweetheart,” her dad started, “why don’t you and your mom and sister go get Nico’s gifts put under the tree.”

Logan narrowed her eyes at her father and Mat, knowing the big brother and dad talk Nico was about to receive. “Be nice,” Logan elbowed her brother as she walked by. “Nico, I assume you know about the ex,” her dad started. “Yes sir, and I know how much Logan means to me,” Nico looked at Logan who was placing gifts under the tree, smiling at her mom, “and I know how much I love her.”

Logan and Nico sat next to one another at dinner, passing around the dishes and Nico kept his hand on her knee. “How often can you make it to Long Island?” Nadia asked. “As often as I can. Maybe twice or three times a week? Depending on morning skates or travel, I bring the guys to her store sometimes,” Nico explained. “I stayed with Nico when he was injured,” Logan smiled.

Logan and Liana cleaned up the table, Mat lingered but got a look from his parents and went to help with dishes. Before Nico went to help, Nadia started talking. “We were nervous, when Logan told us she was dating a hockey player,” Nadia started, “her last relationship, we thought it was going to destroy her, but you seem good for her.”

Nico smiled pridefully, “I’m glad, I really care about her.”

After dinner, everyone sat on the couch, Logan laid into Nico as Mat opened his present from Logan. Nico had received some stuff from the Barzal Family, just basic sweaters and small gifts. Mat thought he was funny, getting Nico a framed picture of a Baby Logan.

“They didn’t bother you too much while talking to you, right?” she mumbled. “Worried about me?” Nico hummed. Her hand glided over his stomach as her arm wrapped around him, “Always am.” Nico chuckled softly as Liana was thrown another present. “They are just worried about you, I told them I won’t ever hurt you.”

“Hey, Lo, stop cuddling with your boyfriend and open this present. It’s from Nico and me,” Mat tossed a small box over. “Nico and you?” her eyebrows furrowed together. Nico sat up a little bit as Logan sat up. “Thought you could use a small location for your place in Jersey,” Nico smiled, as she unveiled a key. “You guys got me a new store?!”

“Down the street from my apartment,” Nico sang. “I still get her here at least four times a week! She’s my sister!” Mat exclaimed.

probably waits until the last minute to ask you (he’s so excited he forgot)

he somehow manages to get all of his brothers out of the house for the night 

and picks up a super nice bouquet of flowers on his way home!! 

decorates the kitchen table with the vase of flowers and yummy smelling candles 

then starts cooking dinner for the two of you!!

but internally he’s an absolute softie and all he wants is to celebrate love with his human!!!

you’re just upset that you’re not even home for Valentines Day, and that you’re all alone and this is just a big, fat reminder

he’s seen Valentine’s Day be celebrated in tons of anime and he’s always thought it was so cute 

and he always wanted to celebrate it but he never had anyone except his brothers, and no other demons found interest in the holiday

when he first meets you, that’s one of the first things he thinks and he already has this whole elaborate fantasy of what you’ll do together 

he’s way too shy and embarrassed to admit it

he definitely sends you a cute little e-card asking you to be his Valentine and then proceeds to shut his phone off for the next six hours so he can’t see your rejection

you actually get so worried you knock on his door to check on him and the otaku comes out all red faced and shy

you ask what happened and he’s all pouty about it :((

“I don’t blame you for not wanting a gross otaku like me for your Valentine. I don’t even know anything about Valentines!”

stop him before he gets embarrassed and hide again!!!

with some gentle coaxing and lots of reassurance, he’ll be almost good as new

you leave for a bit while he gets ready and when you come back, he’s ordered takeout and has an anime marathon ready for the two of you!!

you cuddle up to him and bed and share takeout containers while watching his favorite anime

he just straight up asks you if you want to go out with him, and he’s so casual about it that you have to ask if he knows what Valentine’s is

How does everyone shows their affection (romantical or platonic) Sebastian by 'joke' flirting and teasing, and da stuff like this buuuuut does he changes with others pretty drastically??? Gabriel: Oh he’s sappiest dumbest guy when it comes to romance. Makes corniest jokes, calls you pet names, gives you things. You are the apple to his eye and he will make sure you know it. Proudly calling you his partner and treating you like the royalty you’re meant to be!

Platonically he’s very much a bro. Touching, teasing, shouting. He’ll give you the biggest hugs and ruffle your hair. The guy is very much a big goofball.

Sadao: He’s a bit clumsy with love, not really sure what to do. If he hears you like something he’ll go and research everything about it and try to implement it into conversation, bring you a gift. He’s not much for flirting but he does enjoy the little things. Soft touches, small glances. He’ll be flustered but it’s a cute fluster, but he’ll get out of his comfort zone just for you. He’ll even die for you. He’ll follow you to the darkest corners of the earth.

Platonically Sadao is the type that listens and hears you. You could do one thing while he does another and it’s a nice time despite you two not saying anything. But when you want to talk he is all ears. He never forgets anything you tell him, and makes a effort to listen.

Anzu: She’s aromantic but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to be affectionate. She’s the type who leaves little gifts, little notes. She’s like a cat, bringing you little trinkets to show her love. She won’t say she loves you, but you’ll definitely know.

Platonically she opens up to you more, doesn’t have the usual deadpan or blank stare. Will even laugh at your jokes. The closer you are the more you get to see the real her.

As for Sebastian, he’s sort of the type that gets hit in the head with a brick when he realizes he’s in love. He’s a bit awkward despite his facade with his silver tongue, but he gets really touchy feely, very protective too. Once he realizes you’re the one, he’ll die for you.

And Sebastian is the same with Gabriel except he’s not as touchy. Teasing, joking about, pranking you, but respects your boundaries never going too far with things. He’ll even help you bury the body if you really needed to.
