No longer a teary-eyed apprentice, White-Haired Noir in ~the future~ (circa Star Allies??) has become a knight in his own right, swearing his service to Dedede as thanks for helping house the bruised, battered, emotionally unstable teen boy so many years ago.

Dedede Stop Adopting People Challenge (impossible)

Over the years (and with plenty of hard hitting, gloves-off training from Meta Knight) Noir has both grown up and grown accustomed to life on Popstar. He's regained some semblance of a life (gasp!) and inner peace. (...When Popstar's not being invaded, that is.)

He has friends (and rivals), is able to stomach food and drink a bit better, and has accepted Gooey, finally. He can even speak positively of his lost childhood with his little sister, on occasion.

Despite Popstar's generally warm weather, the Shiver Star native continues to dress in highly concealing fashion, as his upper body still bears the scars of his interrupted Dark Matter transformation; one reason he grew his hair out long was to help conceal the ones on his neck better, so as not to frighten the younger Waddle Dees.

Etc: Because of his closeness with King Dedede (and in large part due to their matching scarves/sashes), his general protectiveness of the Waddle Dees, as well as his fairy-tale outfit (which Ribbon helped with) Noir has picked up nickname of the "Prince of Dream Land"

A highly unfitting one, Noir has been heard to privately complain. In what world could an unwashed, damaged, sharp-tongued orphan with hands near-literally dyed in blood become a prince...?

Height-wise, if we consider King Dedede to be one of a breed of extinct "mega penguins" then Noir, fully grown, is of comparable height. (Dedede insists he's taller because of this crown puff. Huzzah! His title as king is safe!) In human terms, this does make Noir a short king :cough: prince, which in his case is due to malnourishment, physical abuse during puberty, and just plain genetics. ^^;

Anyway, despite how shockingly decent he looks cleaned up, Noir is still a feral cat at heart, and he hasn't lost his sass either, even if the edges have been somewhat filed off with time.

(Even the most angsty and tragic of emo boys can only go so many years with sparkly, shimmering, pastel rainbow hair (1) before they give up the act and start smiling ju~st a little more! ^_-)

(Q: So... is that FL comic still Apologies canon?) (A: ~ish! He would definitely be his older self now. That said, this Noir did still encounter Elfilin by chance, immediately recognized him as ID-F86, and had a PTSD episode over it, dredging up old memories he'd believed he had come to peace with. It was the closest the Dark Matter in Noir had come to re-awakening in years. Elfilin's sincere apology to the innocent victims of Forgo's rage helped Noir keep from losing himself completely and he was able to recover.

Also, following Crystal Shards, Noir DID resume having daily nightmares about Adeleine and her fate. That was why MK encouraged him to stay with the fairies of Ripple Star for a time and recuperate; that Noir could resume his training with Meta Knight later on. The grateful fairies all turned out to completely ADORE him - particularly, his shining rainbow hair. This period away from Popstar meant that he totally missed out on Amazing Mirror though.)

(Q: If he missed Amazing Mirror, what games DIDN'T he miss?) (A: He was actually there for a somewhat altered version of Meta Knightmare Ultra in Planet Robobot! It was his first "mission" with his teacher. (And I have a fanfic brewing about that, thanks to the anon who asked what if Noir got within wishing distance of Star Dream...)

Unlike Meta's relationship with Kirby, where Meta trusts Kirby to bounce back from everything and is excited :wipes drool off face: to see how much Kirby will grow, Meta Knight tries (somewhat) to keep his very human disciple out of danger, if he can. He's not soft on him by any means, with hard blows and even harder life lessons, but he knows that Noir came to them hanging onto life by a very frayed thread and he only pushes as far as he believes Noir can take.

Nowadays, he's much more trusting of him to handle himself.

(Q: Assuming he was in SA, where was he during TDX, RtDL, and FL? (A: In both Triple Deluxe and Forgotten Land, he was away from Popstar. Record of Stopping Dedede Abductions: 0/2. He rolled his eyes at a giant beanstalk erupting from Dream Land leading to a kingdom in the clouds "...You're kidding?" and Dedede was stomping mad when Noir laughed outloud about the story of the abduction - which concealed the fact that Meta Knight WAS LAUGHING TOO.

In Return to Dream Land, Noir was still on Popstar but didn't participate in the adventure in any capacity. When everyone returned and told the tale of Magolor's betrayal, his response was a deadpan, "Okay but you all saw that coming a mile away though, right? .........Tell me you saw that coming." He was a little less sassy when he heard Magolor's downfall came at the hands of a corrupting artifact.)

(Q: Wasn't Noir taller than Dedede in that one random sketch?) (A: As an Earth human. Noir eventually became Popstarian size.)

(Q: It's nice that he's okay but... but Adeleine... ; _ ; ) (A: Yeah... However, similar to Blade and Gooey in the main verse, in the AU AU, it was Painter who took care of and sheltered the Dark Matter outcast. Noir initially hated Gooey, because he despised Dark Matter for destroying his family and he hated it every time Gooey tried to approach him - like a sign that he would never escape his mistakes. Only later was he forced to confront Gooey and realize that Gooey was always seeking Noir out because of Adeleine's memories Gooey had taken in. They eventually had a painful heart to heart, where Noir was able to experience his sister's last memories through Gooey. Noir now lets him wear Painter's beret in memory of her.)

Casually lurking in Sailor Moon fandom and when I see posts mentioning the Shitennou's knightly titles, I think the translation are off. I don't know if those are just fansubs being wonky, or if even the official ones are not entirely correct...

I've also seen some posts say that "I don't understand what these means". The knightly titles are based on the image and properties associated with each gemstone in Japanese (so, if it has different meanings internationally, it's quite beside the point).

Jadeite: Knight of Resilience 忍耐 and Harmony 調和

忍耐 is often translated as "Patience" in fanworks. 忍耐 is better translated as "resilience", "perseverance", or "endurance". Even when colloquially used to say "be patient", the connotation of it is more along the lines of "endure this". The Harmony one is correct.

"Resilience" is because jadeite jade is the harder jade. "Harmony" because of its traditional usage in spiritual matters, so jade in general has the image of "peacefulness".

Nephrite: Knight of Wisdom 知恵 and Peace 安らぎ

This one makes me kind of laugh because of what Nephrite is like as a character/person. I almost always see 知恵 translated as "Intelligence". It's not wrong per se, but this term here refers to something deeper than just brain smarts, thus "wisdom". Things like wisdom that come from age, or innate perceptiveness, and so on.

安らぎ is peace, as in "inner peace". Basically, "serenity", though it's probably not a good idea to use this word in Sailor Moon for obvious reasons.

Nephrite being the native jade of China, it has been given very sagely meaning to it that persist even in Japanese symbolism. That's why it's like this, for somewhat similar reasons to jadeite's "harmony".

Kunzite: Knight of Virtue 純潔 and Benevolence 慈愛

純潔 can also mean Purity or Chastity. 慈愛 is sometimes translated as Affection, which is also not entirely wrong. It's just that the standard meaning is benevolence or mercy. "Affection" tends to be used in the context of parents and children. In this context probably not the best meaning to use.

This gemstone is associated with the Holy Mother Mary, of all things, that's why it's got very saintly imagery associated with it.

Zoisite: Knight of Purification 浄化 and Healing 癒し

The most straightforward one so I've never seen any wonky translation with this one. Those who are into healing crystals might already know this, but this title is based on the healing and purification qualities that a blue zoisite/tanzanite supposedly have.

Today we're talking about Irene! Well, her powers. Well, Anastasia's powers. Well, how weird I found Irene's powers set considering what we knew about the magick system and how I tore it into little pieces to play around with as my little heart desires.

I propose that Irene not have healing or purification or revival or dimension-making powers at all. I propose that she have a single power and that it involves time dilation.

Her immortality isn't immortality at all: her magick has simply slowed her body's aging down to such a crawl that it looks like immortality. When she heals someone, she's speeding up the healing process so much that it's like watching a timelapse, or if she's reviving someone she's turning time back to when the body was alive. When she heals farmland, she's either returning it to its previously healthy state or speeding up the soil until the nutrients have replenished. When she's supposedly making another dimension, what she's doing is speeding through an area's history for the opening of a naturally occurring divide, because come on there's gotta be some, and then just hopping through to an already existing place.

What are the side effects of this? Aside from the pretty shiny light effect.

As Irene she didn't have to eat or drink nearly as much, or sleep, but she slept regularly because her mind still got exhausted even if her body usually didn't. People she heals have shortened lifespans, the time they would have naturally taken to heal is chopped off their lifespan and for some reason they always get real hungry and thirsty after a healing. Some of them lose weight like they've been starving for months. Those brought back from the dead either remain in a death-like state when they're revived like their soul isn't there, fall into comas and vegetative states, or come back insane from whatever they saw on the other side. Farmland will quickly go back to being barren if farmers don't change their rotation often enough or fix the underlying cause. Sometimes the dimensional divides rupture and void spills into her home dimension, which she then has to rewind back into the space between dimensions or launch into hyperspeed so hard it crystalizes, and this also explains how the situation in VOID Paradox got started and the black and purple void-like stuff Zane covers Phoenix Drop with.

The Irene Dimension was already an existing realm adjacent to the MCD Overworld realm. It was an empty anti-void. Irene took up residence there and used the space to experiment more with her magick, which resulted in the time dilation issue between the Overworld and the Irene Dimension, which then accounts for her disappearance when the Divine Warriors regrouped after Shad.

OH!! It also accounts for why praying to Irene(?? that's what the wiki said) reverted Alexis back to a baby over time!! Irene/Anastasia accidentally dosing Alexis with a bit of her time magick when she visited her because it was reacting to her hope that Alexis could be returned to her natural self!! Doing this because I hate myself. Enstars gave me more things to overanalyze, this time it's fucking gemstones.

So like, the MV for Luminous Crown, all of Knights are wearing a gemstone pin on the lapel of their... Coat things, that correspond to their eye colors. Guess what, you can analyze that, baby. (And I will proceed to do so, badly. If I fuck it up don't come for me okay I'm no expert.) Admittedly I am not a KnightsP nor did I actually read the event story, I just like pretty gemstones.

The gem that they're all holding/is absolutely everywhere in the MV is likely a sapphire. Said gemstone is said to be a symbol of wisdom, and also royalty. There's also like. A crown, on Tsukasa's head. He's been crowned King, one who leads the rest of Knights, so it's a pretty obvious connection. I think.

-> Tsukasa himself has what I think is an amethyst on his coat? Amethyst is meant to eliminate anxieties and stress, to clear your mind and even your temper. They're also supposed to help manifest ideas and aid in decision making.

-> Naru has tanzanite I think. I've looked this up everywhere, and what I've found is that tanzanite is a stone of transformation, (due to how it actually gets its color) and supposedly helps with self confidence, to help one realize their true self.

-> Ritsu...garnet? It's red. This one's interesting, as garnets were named after the Latin word for pomegranates, and are thus associated with them. Pomegranates are also symbols of death, and I feel like there's been one involved with one or both of the brothers in an event or something.

Putting that aside, garnets are symbols of vitality, and are to help support your health, as well as being a symbol of love. Garnets are also meant to be for purification, to help let go of old beliefs and fears.

-> Leo's looks like it's a peridot. Peridot encourages understanding and compassion, and supports emotional healing as well as enhancing creativity. It's also a very vibrant, joyous stone with its bright yellow-green hue.

-> Sena... I couldn't get a good angle for the life of me, but I think his is actually blue topaz. Blue topaz is supposedly meant to aid in communication, boost self confidence and self expression, and bring good luck and success.

Is any of this right? We'll never know. I wrote this while extremely tired.

babbling about potential fragaria memories worldbuilding (of course, it is made up <3)

Essentially, the concept of a “castle” is a kingdom’s lifeblood and creates the entire kingdom in the first place. It originates from the “Lord” who creates the castle and shares both a physical and mental connection to the Lord.

(The castle creates the castle itself and is a literal and symbolic heart of the kingdom) (Potentially creates the walls that protect/surround the kingdom, and might have the power to erect entire buildings) (Technically, a castle can expand its borders but expending too much power might strain the lord who creates the castle(?)) (Can only create buildings within the boundary of the walls)

(I like the idea that SEEDs are naturally attracted to castles because of the high density of magic surrounding these areas(?)) But also because the existence of a lord is essential to the kingdoms since they’re highly exalted and revered, taking them down would mean taking down the whole kingdom.

If the lord is damaged in any way, the castle itself will be vulnerable to attacks depending on the severity.

Relying on the idea that magic doesn’t come naturally to faeries (or whatever the people in fragaria are), I describe it as more “communal” if that makes sense? Castles provide unlimited magic to all citizens for public and daily use. Everyone has access to magic but is limited if too many are using magic at the same time. Communal magic can only be used within the bounds of the kingdom.

Using communal magic in an attempt to harm the castle is possible, but barely damages the castle. I imagine foreign magic or attacks by SEEDs are the only ways of directly harming the castle without attacking the Lord themselves(?)

Maybe the idea of “communal magic” can only be used through special wands(?)

If a castle undergoes damage, it can heal but requires the concentration of the lord to perform the healing.

Alternatively, everyone can use magic but has a limited use of it per month. The wand thing still applies. (Perhaps you can buy extra chargers for magic, but maybe it is a bit costly(?)) (Technically you can probably hoard magic, but maybe a heavy tax is placed to prevent people from hoarding magic(?)) (<- I kinda forgot, but I remember the initial idea was that hoarding magic is bad since it is considered a precious source and it would be preferred if it can be used for more important and practical matters rather than being stored and saved up(?))

Technically “communal magic” comes from the lord but are still vulnerable to others using their power against them(?)

(i like the idea of castles being a physical and mental representation of the lord)

Knights of Fragaria require a lot of power to form contracts and may deplete the kingdom’s defenses. They’re considered great assets for their loyalty and ability to act around as they please. Unlike normal faeries, they’ve been granted the ability to use magic as they please and more capable than the average faerie. It can be risky to have two knights of fragaria since it may endanger the defenses of the kingdom.

(Maybe Knights of Fragaria have an intrinsic connection to their lords and the castle themselves(?)) 

(I find it more instinctive rather than all-knowing(?))

A SEED that takes over a castle will absorb immense magic power for their own and may become unstoppable. Their abilities are heighten but are bound within the castle until it stops possession for whatever reason. A SEED possessing a castle may also strengthen SEEDs within the vicinity and birth new SEEDs. (Maybe they drain the castle themselves until it disappears for good(?))

“Purification” is the magical defeat against a SEED.

“Banishment” is the physical defeat against a SEED.

Music is something culturally significant in the world of Fragaria, especially during the SEEDs crisis. I might not explain this idea well, but imagine playing songs and trying to soothe a loved one while trying to remove the SEED from them? Even melancholic music being used to attract SEEDs.

Imagine singing being an important song to a loved one, hoping they turn back to normal? or maybe this is just me trying to make the fragaria memories music videos have lore significance aha 

Maybe I haven’t seen a lot of others write about lore, but have you ever thought about the implications of forgetting someone because of a SEED? 

Imagine looking at old photos, but suddenly recognizing someone you once knew as a stranger? Imagine having decorated rooms meant for someone, but not remembering who these rooms are for? Imagine finding old letters and notes you’ve lovingly written to others or have been written to, but not knowing the context or the people behind these letters.

Imagine someone sacrificing themselves under the brave act of protecting people from SEEDs but only to be forgotten.

What is the pain of wanting to desperately remember someone? Do you even want to remember anyway? Should we forget the people we can’t even remember? Maybe there are memorials or murals that honor these people, how would kingdoms honor those who are forgotten?

Maybe they don’t in the first place? Who knows?

But I’m more curious about the nature of SEEDs themselves? Are they a species that is controlled or are they animalistic and feed off a person’s negative energy for survival?

Do SEEDs have some level of intelligence? If they do, I imagine it isn’t too comparable to a human’s. I feel like it’s similar to the demons in Frieren in the Funeral(?)

In my opinion, I think SEEDs can discern if emotions are “negative” but are unable to truly understand the essence of negative emotions. They see it as a source of food. I mentioned melancholic music as bait for SEEDs, but I wonder about the idea of "manufactured negativity," if that makes sense? Imagine the sounds of crying children being used to attract SEEDs themselves. Imagine trying to purposefully invoke the saddest moments in life just to see if you can use that negative energy to attract a SEED?

I find it more meaningful that SEEDs have always existed as a consequence of the world. In Twisted Wonderland, using magic produces a pollution known as blot. But if Fragaria Memories was once a world that relied on magic but never thought of the consequences of producing its own blot?

So basically: "SEEDs are the consequence of using magic."

what if SEEDs is like the original sin if you get me...?

What was the world like before the arrival of the Strawberry King? Before the idea of lords and their kingdoms existed?

Happy Belated Birthday Sailor Mercury

Thought I try to keep up with the Sailor Birthdays and use them as a way to talk about what projects I'm working on, it unfufoantely as has been a very busy week at the day job and I havne't had time to do a good post. Also, I unfortunately don't have anything planned between Sailor Mercury and her Knight of Purification and Healing. I have been focusing on Choker of Love and Royal Affairs as those are the projects I want to see get completed. Sorry Mercury, I hope you still have a happy birthday.

One thing I love about Sailor Moon particularly is that the point of the show is not necessarily that girls are powerful it's that girlhood is powerful. Usagi is a hero not because she's too stupid to know how to face her enemies but because she actively chooses love and healing over cynicism and cruelty. All of her attacks are waves of healing or purification, unlike her friends' attacks which are generally just elemental offensive attacks. Sailor Moon is a story of Knights following a central leader but instead of being the most powerful warrior, Usagi is the kindest. Throughout the series it is reinforced again and again that softness, kindness, hope, and innocence are not things that make you weak or are easy to keep. They are the very central values a good leader and a good person needs to have. So many times Usagi could choose to give up on those things and the whole arc introducing the outer senshis is filled with people telling her she's an idiot for trusting others. She is hurt so many times by her trust in others, but she still actively chooses to trust. She still actively chooses to search for goodness in people. That, to me, is why the series will always hold up. Of course it's weird and silly at times and there are some moments where you cringe, but that central theme will always ring true to me.

His shield is truth, which is a perfect protection to the inner man. His strong right arm is the knowledge and spiritual power he has developed within, and the sword that he uses is the spiritual light with which the pure flame of the spirit fire dispels the darkness of ignorance and the demons of lust. The sacred spear and the cup which he serves are the two poles of the creative life force within, the development of which he gains as he daily serves his fellow men.

Far from the uninitiated the twelve Elder Brothers of mankind sitting around the circular table of the universe watch the knights in their battle of life, and the time comes when the student having finished his work here is liberated at the foot of the Grail.

There the candidate stands robed from head to foot in the armor of spirit and in the pure white of a body that has been cleansed. Then the cloth is lifted from the sacred cup, and he is illuminated by the light which would have killed him had he seen it without purification. He then takes his place among the knights of the Round Table, and joins those who give up all and labor for humanity.

Canities subita, also called Marie Antoinette syndrome or Thomas More syndrome, is an alleged condition of hair turning white overnight due to stress or trauma.

“Your hair is white...”

Gamall stopped what he was doing, as Kadra’s voice caught his attention. He looked over his shoulder to look at the knight commander, who stood at the entrance of his tent. She, once again, held papers in her hands she planned to discuss with him and he scoffed, of course.

“What?” He asked confused at her words.

“Your hair, it’s white? Did you bleach it?” She walked in carrying papers.

Work, always work, long lost were the nights where she held him in comfort, she and Tudor. He was silly to hope for a second that she was here for anything else. Those days, those nights, were long gone.

He ran his fingers through his long hair, holding a lock of silky ghost white hair between his fingers and scoffed as he tried to realized what could have caused it.

“Oh... the purification spell,” he mumbled. “It washed off my hair dying spell... I’ll have to dye it again.”

He shook his head and walked past her to look for a potion of tar to temporarily fix that. The Imperial healer had promise him they’d look for some medecine to help restore pigmentation to his hair. Not that he desliked white hair. Not at all. No, he hated the reason associated with his hair growing white.

“Again? I thought you were naturally black haired! Since when your hair been white?”

Gamall stopped once more turning to face her with disbelief. Had she truly not noticed? It was the first thing everyone did. Yet again, when his mind returned to that fateful day, she was barely paying him any mind.

“You’re kidding, right?” He asked. “When I returned, after Jullian and his merry party kept me their prisoner for almost a year of torture and... and...”

“Really?” She looked honestly surprise.

“You didn’t notice?!”

“No, when you returned your hair was a matted mess of dirt, blood and gore! How did you expect me to notice?” She tried to defend herself.

“I don’t know! Maybe if you had spared a glance at me when I was finally washed and stitched up you would have noticed!” Gamall yelled throwing the potion at the wall.

As the potion pooled, the tent’s fabric was slowly tainted black.

“Sorry, I didn’t! I had more pressing things on my mind.”

“You didn’t! Joseph fucking Hughes noticed! The dwarf who say’s your place is in the kitchen, not the battlefied, and calls his son and inferior being due to his skin colour noticed, but you, my friend, my lover, my ally, didn’t even spare a glance!”

“No! I didn’t!” She yelled. “We are in a war! I have more pressing things to worry about than the hair color of one of my soldiers.”

Gamall stopped, straightening his back.

“That’s all I am to you? Your soldier,” he shook his head. “You’re right. So my hair is white. It’s not like it’s going to kill me, right? Isn’t that what you said when I cried why didn’t you send anyone to save me? Why did you abandon me to be tortured, humiliated, violated, by Jullian and his men?”

Kadra fell quiet, looking away as she felt her heart in her throat. He was alive, he was safe, he was with them. She had to worry about people who would actually come out of that harmed, he’d live, he’d heal through anything, and he did. She had made the right choice.

Have you?

At her silence Gamall sat down, he didn’t look at her, only keeping his hands over his mouth and nose as he looked into space.

“Can you get me Tar?”

She looked at him confused.

“Tar?”

“Yes, so I can dye my hair...”

She blinked, looking at the papers in her hands. She had come there to discuss work, she had hoped to come to a course of action where they could use his unique skills. She realized her intent to send him in a suicide mission, how dehumanizing it was, how she was specifically sending him, because he could not die. His only value, had suddenly, in her mind become, the fact he was a powerful warlock, who could not die. 

“I... I think we have more important matters to discuss, Mal, we’re in the middle of a war-” she started, looking away.

Gamall looked at her in utter disbelief.

“Either get me tar so I can dye my hair, or get the fuck out before I strangle you with the 15 or so feet of intestine I still have left!”

With that threat, she left, crumbling the papers in her hands. Alright, if he did not wish to discuss it, he’d have no choice but to do what she ordered, she was still his commander and she was still more skilled than him. With so many skilled soilders and warlocks willing to give their lives for the crown, she placed them all first before him, because he could not die and he’d return. Broken, tortured, but he’d return, they would not. And she would not sacrifice her soldiers when she had him.

Watching her leave, Gamall laid back down, twirling a lock of white hair around his finger. Long gone were the days where she’d shield him, where she’d comfort, where she’d love him. To her, he was nothing but a weapon with legs. No one could destroy its casing, but his insides? They were mangled. He closed his eyes and rolled to the side in fetal position, starting to cry.

“Hey... You pissed of Kadra... “

In answer, hearing his cries, Tudor came in. When he saw Gamall he stopped.

“Hey... your hair. I’ll go get tar.”

"She didn’t notice...”

“That your hair was white?” Tudor asked, sitting by his side.

“No, back then... she didn’t notice. I’m nothing to her.”

“Hey, come on, Gamall,” Tudor pulled the man to his lap. “She’s just preocupied, this war is taking it’s toll on her. She loves us, once this is over, she’ll remember how important you are to her, how much she loves you-”

“I’m growing to resent her greatly... with every word she utters... I’m afraid when this war is over, it won’t be her who sees me as nothing, it’s me.”

Anemo Manipulation: Although Vennessa never earned an Anemo Vision while she was alive, when she ascended to godhood was she granted powerful control of the Anemo element. Typically, she utilizes it as sonic booms capable of pulverizing targets like walls, impediments, enemies to send them flying or decimate them, and enhancing her own speed. She also utilizes it to manipulate the airwaves to do things like distort sound waves and cause disorientation this way. As a god, her capabilities are extremely deadly.

Shapeshifting: Like many gods, Vennessa is capable of shapeshifting. Mainly, she uses it to transform into a brown and white hawk of varying sizes (from that of a griffin to an average falcon), manifesting wings of a similar hue, but she can use it to augment her appearance. Usually, she only makes her hair and eyes brown, otherwise leaving her appearance intact as she was as a human.

Purification & Healing: As demonstrated by her place of ascension at Windrise, Vennessa's connection to Celestia granted her peerless, innate healing and purification abilities. At Windrise, Venti utilizes this trait to expunge the Abyssal poisoningfrom Dvalin that he sustained secondhand and later to heal his body after it was damaged by Signora stealing his Anemo Gnosis. Immortality: As a god, Vennessa is over a thousand years old and is immune to human disease or aging. She remains the age she was at the time of her ascension, which has kept her looking forever in her early-20's.
