Hey Everybirdy. I am currently doing a December Baking Series over on both my Patreon and Kofi accounts. Called "Baking with Betty" and I hope that you all will like it. These recipes all come from Betty Crocker's 1963 version of the Cooky Book. And it has been really fun, so far.

I want to keep baking. However, as it stands right now I am not so sure that I am going to be able to do so. As finances are tight. I know that they are tight for everyone, but even $1 would help me in the long run.

I want to share recipes with so many people. I hope that You like these posts and I hope you all have fun reading these posts. Thank you so much for being here and being a part of this journey with me.

Happy 2025! Can you believe it's a new year already? New year means new updates so here we go:

First and foremost, I will be pushing the Kofi a little harder this year as it will become my primary source of income. I am thinking of adding monthly membership tiers starting with a dollar for those who want to support but are tight on funds. I'm also considering a $5 tier blind bag option where members can get a mystery baby animal blorbo every month, but I'll need to build up some stock so it might be a little bit before that one arrives. After that, however, as a primarily fiber artist, I'm not sure what else I could offer in higher tiers other than my eternal gratitude so if there's something you think I could offer exclusively to higher tiers, feel free to make suggestions in the comments below!

Secondly, as Kofi will become my primary source of income, that also means that my commission slots will be opening soon! How soon, you ask? Hopefully by February 1st! I'll be opening FOUR small commission slots and don't worry, there WILL be a commission list coming so y'all can see what I have at my disposal. Commissions will start at $30 + shipping for the smaller items, and increase based on the approximate size and estimated time for larger items (like dragons!). The list will be divided by size categories so folks will know ahead of time about how much they'll be paying. As of right now, I will not be taking custom commissions, or commissions outside of my repertoire, while I am figuring out this new system of mine, and how much I can physically and mentally handle being a full-time online maker and crafter.

Final third item, I will be setting up the shop this month to showcase what's currently available to be shipped and what's available to be commissioned so folks have a better view of my repertoire. There will be two separate categories: items ready to ship and items available for commission. The difference being that the items ready to ship have already been made and are sitting on a shelf waiting to find a new home.

That's it for new updates! Oh! Before I forget! As part of pushing the Kofi (and helping me raise the funds for C2E2), we have a cute little tracker that for every donation of a certain amount, a specific image gets colored in. We started that in December, and here's what we have so far!

Hi, this is Cyllres. I am writing this at 5am, and once again, I find myself unable to sleep because of stress. I’m in the second semester of my 12th grade high school—a graduating student, supposedly nearing the finish line. (Not really the finish line since I still have college next academic year LMFAO but I want it to sound dramatic)

Honestly, I wouldn’t be in this situation if I had chosen to enroll in a public school. But my naive self allowed my parents to make the decision for me, thinking it was the best choice. They believed that a ✨ private university's ✨ education would offer better opportunities and prepare me for college. At the time, I thought so too. But now, they’ve given up way too early, and I’m left to bear the consequences of a choice me and my parents made. Still, I refuse to sit and wait for them to change their minds because that would literally mean me STOPPING for awhile. (Though I doubt they would because they seem adamant in giving me the bare minimum.) If I want to get through this, I have to find a way myself.

I've only been in this university for senior highschool and I know I ain't making the same mistake of enrolling in a ✨ private university ✨.

There are only five months left in this academic year. Five more months of this relentless stress, wondering where I’ll find the money for tuition and research fees. At this point, I don’t even care about having a daily allowance. I just need to cover the essentials to graduate. That’s my only priority.  

To be honest, I only have 1,000 pesos left (roughly $20), and my tuition costs 1,106 pesos per month. That doesn’t even include the expenses for our stupid research project that makes me want to tear my hair out, or all the other school projects because this university just loves giving us more work.

I’ve been dealing with this without my parents literally giving a shit since the very start of the academic year, (they do help, but it's literally the bare minimum to the point I'm losing my mind), and it’s been exhausting. Balancing academics, financial struggles, and the constant worry has taken a toll on me. I’m physically and mentally drained. Right now, as I write this, I’m reaching out again, as a last resort. I’m asking for help from anyone willing to support me.
