I would describe myself as asexual. Whether that's due to my disorders or something that's always been intrinsic to me, I don't know, and I don't care to find an answer.

People are so obsessed with labels. They need words and definitions to define themselves, to make them feel secure in who they are by knowing that their experience is not unheard of.

Beyond this, society operates on labelling everyone within. Race, gender, sex, age, ethnicity, class ... All to place roles and expectations on who you should be based on these things—what job you should have, how you should behave, whether you're worth paying attention to, if you are worthy of respect, etc.

I am technically "straight", due to me being male and having an interest in women romantically, but I barely even engage in romance. Am I aromantic? I've asked myself those things many times before, and I don't have an answer. I've never experienced any "real" crushes, and I can't particularly distinguish whether how I feel is platonic or romantic, and then it goes right back into feeling nothing at all. I have interest in being in a romantic relationship, but it is difficult for me to engage in that romance emotionally in real life. I question whether or not I even love anyone.

People come up with labels to define hyper specific experiences when they find nothing else that explains it for them. They need to be categorized. They need to feel like they have a place, or else they feel like they're going crazy.

I find that schizoids often don't bother with labels. Many of them don't refer to themselves as schizoid, despite engaging with the so-called community. (It's funny, in a way, a "community" of schizoids, a little oxymoron). They might not have strong feelings about their personal identity like gender or sexuality.

I can sort of understand the average person's need for a label, but that understanding does not go beyond the surface level. I don't understand the hyper specific descriptors to describe the specific experiences that might not necessitate those terms. It's okay to use common language. It's okay to recognize what you're experiencing isn't normal.

When I found that excessive labelling does not benefit me or the people trying to understand me, I stopped searching. Because when you use so many labels that the purpose has been lost, what was the point in the end—when you still have to explain what the labels themselves were meant to explain?

in my bio, it says that i’m bi, but irl i tell people that i have no labels on my sexuality but to make things simple online bc im too lazy to yap on my bio, i just put bi

yes i do like both men and women, and i used to identify as bi a few years back. but as i got older, i started to not really like labelling myself and there’s still parts of me that im confused about. to keep it short, yeah im unlabeled because labels make me uncomfortable but choose to put a label online because im too lazy to explain a bunch of stuff on my bio, hence why i made this post

Me and a friend have been working on food themed friend labels! They're meant for establishing some boundaries and also helping neurodivergent people label their friendships, but also can be used just for fun to see what sort of friendships you have with your friends. The two of us started working on it at first due to us being both neurodivergent, and we both like categorising things XD

Tea - Friends that have no filters whatsoever. they don't need to worry about making the other uncomfortable, because they don't really care about oversharing

Water - friends that can always hyper focus on one topic constantly, and it never gets old. they can talk about the same thing for ages, always returning to that conversation and it doesn't get any less interesting or fun

Chilli - Friends that always subtly have each others backs. Its not obvious, but no matter what shenanigans one gets in, the other subtly gets them out of the chaos in ways people often don't notice immediately if at all

Popping candy - like chilli, but its very obvious and is basically "I will beat someone up for you if you needed me to"

Apple seed - friends that shouldn't be friends. usually dubbed by people outside of the friendship, or if one person feels trapped in the friendship and feels that cant escape. very toxic

Cherry - when friends agree that if one forms romantic feelings that aren't returned, it wont get in the way of the friendship. Its like an agreement that it will not ruin the friendship if something forms and doesn't quite bloom

Freezer - can not talk for months or even years, but still get along super well when they talk again as if they didn't have a huge break in between chatting

Wine - been friends for 5+ years

Blueberry - friends who are always there to emotionally support the other if one is going through a tough time. whether through venting, or being the friend to make you your comfort meal and just help cheer you up

Sugar - friends always arguing over who pays for things, because they want to be the one who pays and not let the other pay

Cream - friends with benefits

Cookie - Friends that are chosen family, or you have familial like bonds with! Whether there's that one friend who is like a mum to everyone, or the two of you are like siblings

Passion fruit - Friends who would marry each other for tax benefits

Little explanations for the names:

Tea - Can be made without a filter unlike coffee Water - something everyone should ideally have everyday. It cannot get old simply because our bodies need it Chilli - has very strong flavours, but people who are not eating it may not notice how many sensations it is causing Popping candy - other people do notice you're eating it because of the popping noises. Also it's a very loud food Apple seed - Apple seeds are poisonous to eat! Cherry - not too sure, just fit well and was is fruity Freezer - The friendship has been perfectly preserved and has been defrosted Wine - the friendship ages like fine wine Blueberry - Because one friend is feeling rather blue when this friendship becomes obvious Sugar - A bit like sugar daddies, but with friends and there's nothing being asked for in return, it's just two people arguing over who pays Cream - need i say more? Cookie - Cookies are a rather sweet and comforting food Passion fruit - The name just oddly fitted this one

How do I tell apart bigender and demigirl? If I'm felling partly feminine and partly somewhat non-binary, what is the right term for me?

Well, bigender can be any two genders. They can be any genders but as long as it's two it's bigender. Demigirl is someone who feels a partial connection to being feminine and a partial connection to any other gender. Technically, you can be both because demigirl falls under the same category as bigender (unless you are part feminine and the other part is several other genders, that might fall under a different category).

If you're feeling partially feminine and somewhat non-binary then you could identify as a demigirl, and that would also put you under the bigender category because you are feeling like two different genders. Again, you do not NEED to have a label. You can feel like something without it being "official". Of course if that would make you feel better, go for it! Hope this helps!!

Personal Opinion here

Honestly I just don't label my religion that much bc, like everyone's beliefs and religions are very diverse and there's only little labeling. Like eg Christianity, I've met and experienced lots of different beliefs in "Christianity" one believes celebrating birthdays are wrong, the other believes that lilith was in the bible (not saying any of those beliefs are false) but then they accuse the other Christian to not be a real Christian, but then the other person accusses them of the exact same thing. It's something I experience on the daily. That's one reason I don't really like to label my beliefs and if anyone asks I always say closest to spiritual yk?

No hate to any other religion and not saying it's wrong to label your religion. Just sharing my thoughts and experience.

Be you and don't hate on people for their colour, race, beliefs alright. We are all human and have emotions.
