I needed examples for a new commission type bracket I'm adding to my website, so these brave souls stepped forth and allowed me to experiment/test them out with their characters! The owners of these lovely ladies, in order, are: PyritKyrit, ChibiCreates, BoxofFoxes, and Daughteromega! Thank you all so much for being my test subjects! ;w;

I do these "EXAMPLES NEEDED" commissions on occasion to answer following questions: -How long will this take me from start to finish? -How do I want them to look across the board? -Is the test price an appropriate price for the piece, or should it be lower/higher?

It's basically my form of quality control to make sure I'm offering something that looks good/has a consistent baseline look, is fun for me to draw, and is priced fairly for both myself and the potential client based on the hours worked. It also gives me the perfect excuse to experiment with new potential commission types! :)

As you can clearly see, this time the test was for Lineart commissions. I've done them in the past, but they never felt uniform enough to properly gauge a price as well as give an acceptable example to really show folks what they'll get from me. So this was me sitting down and giving myself specific parameters to stick to when I do these commissions, and those parameters are "toned lineart". Lineart with some flat toning/shaded added for extra sauce.

BUT YE! I had a fuckin blast working on these. My August commissions will be opening within the next couple of weeks, in which these badboys will make their debut! Keep your peepers open for more info on that later, and until then I hope ya'll enjoy the art! More to come soon! :)

Ran across a young lacewing coming home tonight. Or at least a really small one. Lovely shade of green regardless.

Not too sure about this one, but it's got nice colors.

Found this yellow underwing while teaching the creeping Charlie a lesson. Also a couple larvae, but they were napping. Perhaps they're helping with the culling.

This fly has enormous, and hilariously dome-shaped, red eyes. Apparently they survive by imitating dollar-store toys?

Oh, and while she didn't hold still long enough for a proper photo, I saw a nice red ichneumonid. I choose to believe it's Moon Unit from last year, all big and strong.

Lacewings go through complete metamorphosis, so a "young" lacewing would be a larva. That fella is just a small adult. Green lacewings are commonly quite small!

The fella in the second photo I think is a true bug - a meadow plant bug, from the looks of it, with its wings open.

And the fly with silly eyeballs is just a male! He needs those big peepers for spotting ladies

EA Shares Details on the Upcoming “Reaper’s Rewards Event”

On a new blog post, EA shares detailes about the upcoming Reaper’s Rewards Event.

Unlike the last season of Login Events, this time players will actually have to complete tasks in live mode in order to get the rewards.

As previously announced, the event starts on September 24th. Read all details below.

Reaper’s Rewards Event

Work with Grim to discover the secrets of Ambrosia, earn Event Points, and unlock bone-chilling rewards!

Get ready for a free, limited-time Event where you'll need to venture into Live Mode to participate.

The Grim Reaper is reaching out to you…but don’t be afraid to answer since it seems Grim wants your help. And the best part? You'll be rewarded for your efforts throughout the Event, with one being a brand new Lot Challenge, Scare Seeker, where Sims will get excited instead of scared while on the lot!

How Does it Work?

Open Live Mode with an existing or new Household. After a short wait, The Grim Reaper will call upon you!

The Event will run for eight weeks, with two exciting Quests each week. Your journey begins by assisting Grim with researching Ambrosia, a special Gourmet dish that can lift any Sim’s spirits. As the weeks progress, you’ll continue to unlock the secrets of Ambrosia and eventually learn how to cook it! The more Quests you complete, the more Event Points and rewards you’ll earn.

Make sure you’re online. Log in to your EA account.

Enter Live Mode, and you’ll see the first pair of Quests, which start with a pop-up. In Live Mode, you can access the Event Screen by clicking on the Event Icon!

Earn Event Points by completing Quests and Goals. As you earn Event Points, you’ll be able to claim new rewards.

Claim your rewards through the Event Screen in the Main Menu or Live Mode by selecting Claim. Note: You must be in Live Mode to claim Consumable Rewards.

Claimed rewards will be available in Build Mode, Create a Sim, or your Sim’s Inventory. You can filter to view Event rewards with the Event Rewards filter under the Special category in both Create a Sim and Build Mode. For more help with claiming rewards, check out our EA Help article. 

Each week, two new Quests will be available. Complete these Quests to earn more Event Points and unlock new rewards!

The Reaper’s Rewards Event will have six weeks of Quests and two extra weeks at the end, so there’s plenty of time to catch up and complete it!

Claim the Reaper’s Rewards to create a goth-chic Sim who revels in a good scare, or just enjoy a chance to get to know Grim a little better! Rest assured, your claimed rewards are stored on your EA account, so you do not need to worry about losing them.

Week 1

Summon The Grim Reaper with The Grimophone to listen to your favorite tunes! Sport your new Earrings of Imminent Demise while thrilling Sims with scares using the new Scare Seeker Lot Challenge.

Week 2

Get comfy in the new Trad Goth Jeans while simultaneously brushing up on multiple skills with The Green Lady’s Lost Tome. This Tome allows you to gain skills in Gardening, Cooking, and Fishing all at once!

Week 3

Make sure your Sims wear the proper footwear with the Trad Goth Buckled Boots while taking a ride around the neighborhood on Grim’s Cruiser Bicycle.

Week 4

Like the Life & Death Tattoo, the Portrait of Lady Mimsy Alcron Shallot in the Garden is a true piece of haunting art. Just don’t look too long, or things could get a little toasty.

Week 5

Get dressed up with the Trad Goth Button-Up while flexing your Mixology skills by crafting the new Spectral Spritzer drink. This drink will turn your Sim into a temporary ghost!

Week 6

If your Sim has bags under the new Prowling Peepers eyes, catch up on some eternal Z’s with Casket of Quiet Repose.

FAQ

Do I need to log in to my EA account?

A: Yes, by logging into your EA account, you save your Event progress and the rewards you earn from this Event to the account. That way, if you ever need to install The Sims 4 again, you simply need to log back in to gain access to your rewards!

Are these rewards really free?

A: Yes, these rewards are free when you claim them through the Event Screen. Once claimed, the rewards for this Event will be available in the Base Game.

What about SDX releases, I thought those were to provide free content and updates!

A: Sims Delivery Express drops aren’t going away, but we're always looking for new and novel ways to deliver gameplay, as well as objects and clothing to add to your Sims' lives. You can still expect SDX releases throughout the year as well as new Events to engage with The Sims 4 throughout the seasons.

What if I log in and don’t see the Event?

A: The Event starts on 9/24 at 7 a.m. PST and ends on 10/12. Please make sure you are online and logged into your EA Account. If you still do not see it, you may need to restart The Sims 4 or disable any UI mods you have installed.

Will this be available to Everyone? 

A: Yes! The Reaper’s Reward Event will be available to everyone starting 9/24, and you won’t need any Packs to participate.

What are Event Points? 

A: Event Points are a limited-time measurement for the Reaper’s Rewards Event that allows you to claim free rewards. As you earn Event Points, you progress along an experience track and can claim rewards along the way.

How do I earn Event Points?

A: Each Quest Objective in a quest gives Event Points. Mousing over the Quest will have a tooltip telling you how many points you will earn. Completing the entire Quest nets additional Event Points. Once you have enough, you can claim rewards.

Do I have to spend Event Points?

A: Your Event Points are a cumulative total. When you claim a reward, you still stay at the same Event Point total, so your Event Points aren’t actually “spent.”

What happens if I have leftover Event Points?

A: Grim is offering a finite number of rewards. If you claim them all and still have Event Points, don’t worry! Your Event Points cannot be used for anything other than the Reaper’s Rewards Event and will expire when the Event is over.

Can I still complete the Event if I start late? 

A: Yes, the event will run for 8 weeks. If you start late, you will have access to all the previous week’s Quests.

A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)

His body damn near overheats no matter the intensity of his performance. Once he’s spent, he’s torn between wanting space to cool off or making his body heat his partner’s problem by smothering them. He usually takes his partner’s needs into account. He’d hate for them to feel used because he’s done what he needed to do and left them to fend for themselves. If they’re a bit on the needy side, he may wrap them in blankets (if applicable) and pull them onto his chest while leaving himself stretched out next to them completely uncovered– After he’s cracked a window or turned on a fan, of course. 

B = Body part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

He really appreciates his eyes. He acknowledges that he’s got ‘good’ ones. They’re sharp, keen and he’s heard a few times that they’re not so bad to look at either. He’s not entirely sure about that last part but he’ll give some credit where it’s due. He’s quite perceptive and his eyesight has yet to fail him with age. Not everyone is blessed enough to say something like that. Nothing ever gets past his peepers without him knowing. Plus, with his eyes he can take in his lover as they sprawl out beneath him. He can’t imagine a world in which he has to miss out on a benefit like that. He’s a firm believer in the phrase “we eat fist with our eyes.”

Taiga is a self admitted ‘sucker for a pair of legs’. While he does have his preferences, he adores all types of legs. No matter what his partner’s legs look like, he’s going to be dragging his tongue along them til they have no choice but to wrap them around his head. He likes to see them bare, he likes to see them covered up in something form fitting. He likes it all.

C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically… I’m a disgusting person)

A pearlescent white and viscous. His loads are typically pretty generous but it does depend on how long it’s been since the last time. It thins out a bit with frequency. He knew of people that were regularly getting off in their cells to contraband materials, like snuck photos and magazine clip-outs or sometimes trying, and failing to stealthily relieve themselves in the shower. He didn’t want his libido to control him so he worked on maintaining his celibacy until he got out. It drove him nuts in the beginning but after some time, he never even thought about it. Once he finally got out, he was interested in sex but it was so far down on his to-do list, he had no desire to seek it out. If it would happen, then it would happen… And finally it did.

E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)

Referencing his dirty secret, he had a decent sex life. He had a couple partners from the time he first became sexually active to the time he was imprisoned. After that, his experience building slowed down if not took a full standstill. He lets his instincts carry him but he can be pretty clumsy without realizing. 

F = Favorite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)

He almost always goes for positions that allow him to rest his partners’ legs on his shoulders, such as this. Having their legs right there full view and within reach is enough to rile him up just thinking about it. Not only does he get to show his affection to his favorite part of his lover, he can also reach deep within them and hear their toes crack near his ears as they curl and flex. It’s amusing after the fact but during? He’s just deep set on ripping as many sounds out of them as possible.

G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)

Yet again referencing the previous point, there are moments in which he finds himself amused by his partner but when he gets aroused there is not much that can disrupt his one track mind. He’s so focused on getting off and making sure he’s not neglecting his partner’s needs in the process that he doesn’t think to smile about it until well after the fact. He gets sort of intense when he’s riled up. 

H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)

He’s hairy as all hell. His arms and legs are hairy and he’s got a noticeable happy trail leading down to the jungle that is his pubic hair. He’s got a lot of thick, dark, straggly hair that he hardly bothers to maintain. If he receives a complaint from his partner, then AND ONLY THEN will he give it a bit of a trim. Emphasis on a bit. Sure, he realizes he’s got hair going all between his ass cheeks but he just doesn’t see the point in getting rid of it if it’s just going to come back and itch the hell out of him in the process. 

I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…) 

It cannot be expressed enough how deeply he gets lost in the act of sex. He just shuts the world out and nothing exists but himself and the person he’s sharing the moment with. Feeling them, taking them in, appreciating their body– his mind is a scrambled mess and unless his partner knows how to read him, they have no idea what’s going on behind that intense gaze of his.

J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)

Truly he can go without it. He’d much rather go for the real thing. When he was younger though, he couldn’t keep his hands out of his pants. He chalks his ability to abstain up to what he did while being locked up for 25 years. 

K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)

Light Bondage- Hand binding most specifically- while he knows that he should have an aversion for the act of his wrists being bound, it does turn him on being restricted from acting out on his desires. He can only handle it for so long before his impatience turns into something else. He wouldn’t mind being blindfolded as well. On the whole, these are things that his partner would have to suggest. He wouldn’t even know that it’s something he’s aroused by until the person he wants to bury himself in is the one doing it.

Lingerie- Not a kink but fetish. He gets really turned on by lingerie. Seeing someone dressed up with the sole purpose of enticing him is more than enough to rev up his engine. M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)

Someone being turned on by him turns him on. To Taiga, there is nothing sexier than being wanted. All his partner really has to do is give him a look or a few suggestive touches before his blood starts pumping. Another thing is his appreciation for sudden shyness. If his partner is typically bold but starts to clam up while beneath him, he will do things to burn them up with embarrassment. 

N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)

Breath play freaks him out. He’s heard stories of erotic asphyxiation gone wrong and he wants no part in it. Sex with him is typically a one and done. The length of each bout of passion varies on his needs and his partners. DEMECIA CIVIL WAR ON THE HORIZON!

The latest reports from Demecia have come in, and it's not looking good, folks.

After the confirmed assassination of King Jarvan Lightshield III, his son and successor. The now King, Jarvan Lightshield IV, has made a declaration that any and all mages and potential mages will be subjected to registration and regular report ins. Or at least that is what the public announcement was.

Recent reports have shown a different reality altogether. Anonymous sources have reported mages, being arrested on the street and dragged away without their rights being delivered to them.

It has also been reported that those housing mages or potential mages, such as friends, family, and even landlords and ladies, have also been subjected to the same treatment.

King Jarvan IV originally stated that the decision to have mages report in for registration, was a bid to ease the mind of "everyday civillians" as well as root out the supposed second conspirator in King Jarvan Lightshield III assassination.

But these recent arrests have pointed at the main motivation behind Jarvan IV actions, as nothing more than a grief-stricken son using his fathers death as an excuse to lay blame upon the heads of those he has held in contempt his entire life.

Jarvan IV has never made it a secret on his opinions of mages and magic, a stark contrast to his father who was working towards improving the lives of his magical inclined subjects as well as change the minds of those who have stubbornly clung to their bigoted opinions.

Let me as you folks. Who was the one to discover the late Kings body? Jarvan IV.

Who was the one to benefit and ascend to power off or the late Kings death? Jarvan IV.

Now am I saying that Jarvan Lightshield IV orcastrated his own father's death just to ascend the throne and bring down the hammer upon those who are guilty of nothing else then being born with magic.

No. I can recognise grief when I see it. However, where is this evidence of a second conspirator?

All we have are the words of Jarvan IV and Magistrate Tianna Crownsguard, a woman who has been advocating for the detainment of mages for years.

Demecia is a proud nation, too proud. Their backwards way of thinking has been a point of concern with the rest of Runeterra and Valoran for years, and it seems that Demecias proud as punch nature is going to finally tear apart the very nation they adore.

As of now, Demecia officials have called a ban on mages leaving the country. They have declared any and all mages and their families attempting to leave, including those visiting the country, who will be treated with suspicions and suspects of terrorism or conspirators.

I'm no clairvoyant. But if things continue on like this folks, then I see more than just civil war coming to Demecia.

Even now, Noxus has made moves to strengthen their borders and have announced their willingness to allow those wishing to migrate away from the coming conflict to take residence within their empire.

Okay so. Dee WAS going to be a wackyass vulgar bully in canon, so.... my Dominion au is going to be......certainly, something. With that out of that way and decided though: I have come to some cute ideas for nicknames between the two. At some point Dominator already calls him Pipsqueak (to his annoyance) and she ends up laughing off his "Miss Dominator, sir!" nonsense until she brings up the idea of having some kind of short hand (mostly to peeve Hater and rub it in his face that she and pipsqueak are on buddy-name basis). I can imagine Peepers stumbling over various honorifics from various languages (notably french ones as well), with Lord Dominator balking and dangerously disagreeing with each one until she's had enough toying and "ugh"s with a "Just call me Dee. (silence) You know, like LD." "Hm... What about Le Dee?" "Hah! Yeah sure, whatever dork." Peepers pops up with a "Sure thing, Lady!" and skedaddles off to his next assignment. "wait--that's not what i--oough you know what? WHO CARES........... PIPSQUEAK!!!" Lady Dee and..... Pipsqueak!!! ultimate evil buddies.
